Summary:
In the chaotic age of heaven and earth--there is a land where people and monsters coexist, which is the source of civilization and faith - Taoyuan Township. Sudden mutation and terror struck the land, and the yokai who used to live peacefully lost themselves and began to run amok. The culprit of the mutation was the incident of "resurrecting the former big monster, the Bull Demon King". Due to the taboo of mixing science and sorcery in this world, the resurrection of the Bull Demon King is about to be completed, and negative fluctuations cover the earth. The Heavenly Realm, who valued this situation, issued an order to ask Tang Sanzang to stop the Bull Demon King's recovery experiment. Together with the three people who are not afraid of negative fluctuations, Sun Wukong, Sha Wujing, and Zhu Bajie, the journey to the distant West Tianzhu began.
At the same time, in the city of Vedenga in Tianzhu, Zhang himself, the planner of the Bull Demon King's recovery experiment, and Princess Yumian, the lover of the Bull Demon King, issued an obliteration order to Red Boy to get rid of Sanzang and his party. Red Boy is the son of the Bull Demon King. In order to save his mother who was sealed by the curse of Princess Yumian, Red Boy launched a challenge with his confidant. Can Sanzang and the others stop the Bull Demon King's recovery experiment, and restore peace to the ruined Taoyuan Township?
Xuanzang Sanzang was an abandoned child floating in the river. He was brought up by Master Guangming Sanzang of Jinshan Temple, and because of this, he was discriminated against by the monks in the temple. The murder of his master dealt a huge blow to his mind, and thus he developed a withdrawn and rebellious character. Sanzang is arrogant and uninhibited, pursues freedom, and does not want to be bound by anything. He wants to find absolute strength and strength to protect his important things. The weapon he uses is the Ascension Spear, and his unique skill is "Lord of the Rings".
Sun Wukong, who always follows Sanzang closely, is a strange life form born from a stone 500 years ago. He uses a wishful stick that matches his agility as a weapon. His personality is extremely simple, his way of thinking is simple and direct, naughty and gluttonous, but when he removes the demon power control device on his forehead, he will completely lose his mind, full of desire to destroy and kill, and become an extremely dangerous person. The only person he is defenseless and deeply dependent on is Sanzang, because that is the "sunshine" that soothes his century-old loneliness.
Zhu Bajie is a master at using stomatal techniques, with a gentle and kind personality, easy and approachable. With a smile on his face all the time, he is thoughtful, considers issues meticulously and comprehensively, and can always see through other people's thoughts. But in fact, Bajie is also a human being same as Sanzang. Because his lover was destroyed by monsters, he crazily retaliated and turned himself into a monster. The crime and punishment that can never be eliminated is an irreparable wound in his heart, and under that gentle smile is the sadness that longs to be healed.
The red-haired Sha Wujing is the child of monsters and humans, so he is hated by his stepmother. His elder brother killed his own mother in order to protect him, which made him think that he was the real murderer and deeply blamed himself. From then on, Wujing realized the pure and unrestrained form of the waves, a lustful and outspoken prodigal, but he was still a bold man who loved to fight against injustice. The weapon he uses is a crescent shovel with a chain. Although he often bickers with Wukong, he is actually very considerate of his companions.
This group of characters with full of personality quoted the names of the characters in the Chinese classic "Journey to the West", but completely subverted the original image. Although the background of the story is set in ancient times, their language and behavior are no different from modern people. Make the film full of post-modern colors. The four people who are mixed with humans and demons each have their own inner wounds, and the delicate portrayal of their psychological processes brings the audience into a world that is sentimental and yet warm.

“Like it or not, Sanzo, you’re a part of this social elite now-” “We,” Gojyo cuts in with a disgruntled grumble. “We are now a part of this flock of peacocks, and don’t think I’m about to forget that this was all your idea, Sanzo-sama.” “-and you’re going to have make at least a few connections.”
Gojyo is not happy with their current social standing (chp. 1)
Paper Airplanes by blackkat (AO3) Saiyuki/Justice League (Animated DCU) – Teen – Cho Hakkai/Genjo Sanzo/Sha Gojyo #Alternate Universe #Modern Setting #Reincarnation #Crossover #Crack #Humor #Romance #Pining #Relationship Problems #Mentions of Rape
He’s not scary-crazy the way Luthor or the Joker are, or even vaguely insane like most of the other villains the League faces. Sanzo’s quiet and a bit moody, smokes like a particularly cantankerous chimney, and gives Dick the impression that in this case, still waters really do run deep.
If it is Sanzo orchestrating these takeovers, they’re going to have a problem.

Literally just woke up and saw the event info so I hope this goes through right before day 1 ends (if not, feel free to ignore it completely!) But, to steal one of the example questions, who do you think in Saiyuki would be into a chubby s/o? They're my best boys and as a Thicc Lady™️ I'm dying to know! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh, my fuck, YES! Like, you do not know how happy this makes me! It’s like the clouds parted and a choir of angels descended on a sunbeam blowing trumpets and promising heaven…okay, that might be going a bit far, but I love this ask so much because I am definitely on the chubbier side and love imagining stuff like this! Thank you so much for the ask and I hope you’ll enjoy!
I feel like Gojyo just loves the female form, no matter what size or shape it comes in. He’ll just as happily have a chubby or even outright fat lover as he will a skinny one.
He’s so into his partner’s body, it’s not even funny. He’ll be so handsy with them and it’ll be a very rare occasion when his hands aren’t somewhere on his partner. They’re just so soft and he’ll just casually hook an arm around their hips and rest a big hand on their stomach because he just loves how soft it is to touch.
He’ll absolutely be into body worship and complimenting them during sex, especially if they’re at all insecure about their size. And even outside of the bedroom, he’s all about those sweet, naughty little compliments about how good they look, how he just wants to eat them up because they’re his favourite snack.
I can also totally see Goku being okay with a chubbier partner. He’s not really too picky about looks and body size doesn’t determine who he finds attractive at all. He probably wouldn’t even think about their size at all; it’s not going to be the first thing he notices about them, and he really won’t give it any thought unless they, or someone else, points it out.
Because Goku is a huge foodie, he’s going to definitely want to go on a lot of dates around food. If he gives any thought to their body, it’d be just in hoping that they’ll be up for eating lots of yummy food together. If it turns out they’re insecure about their weight or that  they’re actively dieting because they’re so worried about trying to be skinnier for him, it will both confuse him and break his heart at little.
Like, what do you mean, you can’t eat that because it’ll make you fat?? What do you mean, you don’t like how you look? Why don’t you like how you look? You’re so freaking gorgeous to Goku and he loves your body just the way it is. You could gain another hundred pounds and he’d be okay as long as you were healthy and happy! Just please love yourself like he does because it hurts him so much that you don’t.
The brothers are a lot alike because Dokugakuji? Fucking loves him a Thicc™ partner. Like, he’s not to the point of fetishizing his partner’s weight but he’s definitely one who likes his partner’s body because they are larger. He’s a really buff, muscular, large guy and the contrast between his rock-hard body and his partner’s softer curves and their general roundness…it really does a lot for him, both sexually and just in general.
He really likes how cuddly his partner just looks and feels. He wants them to cuddle with him so much and he’s not shy about being really physical with them. And no matter how much they weigh, he’s a really strong guy and he will have no problem lifting them up to hug them or engage in something a little bit more sexual and he wants them in his lap whenever possible, no matter how often they claim that they’ll be too heavy or hurt him or crush him.

Saiyuki Reload Blast Drama CD 1 – Track 4: Free Talk
Summary: The voice actors talk about sports – ones they’re currently doing and those they’d like to try. Only, some of their definitions of sports are pretty open to debate 😛.
Note: As @soto-translates pointed out, free talks aren't scripted, so the voice actors often interrupt each other, talk over one another, and mumble. Some lines are just beyond my listening capabilities and my, to borrow a nifty term from @ratty000, dollar-store Japanese. I’m pretty sure I did not get everything right, so any correction or suggestion will be much appreciated.
--------
Hoshi: We’ve just finished recording the first volume of Saiyuki Reload Blast Drama CD. Thank you for your hard work.
Hirata and the others: Thank you for your hard work.
Hoshi: Now that we’ve been able to wrap up the recording in this nostalgic mood, it’s now time for the cast talk. But first, this is Hoshi Souichirou, who plays Saiyuki’s Son Goku. Pappi! Thank you for listening to us.
Hirata (mumbling): What’s he getting hyped up about?
Hoshi: Next, over to you, Seki-san.
Seki: This is Seki Toshihiko, who plays Genjo Sanzo. Pappi!
Hoshi: All right, next, Hirata-san, please.
Hirata: What are you laughing about? Yes, yes, this is Hirata Hiroaki, who plays Gojyo. Pappi!
Hoshi: Pappi! Next, Ishida-san, please.
Ishida: Yes. Well, this is Ishida Akira, who plays Pappi.
Hoshi: The one who plays Pappi, is it? Or should it be Papkai? Papkai?
Ishida: Pappi. It’s Pappi. Next–
Hoshi: All right. Thank you, Ishida-san. Let’s get on to the Saiyuki specialty – the cast talk. It’s been quite a while since we’re gathered together like this, isn’t it?
Ishida: Seems so....
Hoshi: We just recorded the type of interesting CD Dramas that Hira-san likes, didn’t we? How did you find them, Hira-san?
Hirata: They sure were interesting.
Hoshi: Were they? You sounded tired though.
Hirata: Say, it’s been a long time since we’ve last convened at the conclusion of a recording.
Hoshi: Isn’t it? Feels like you’d like to do more of it, doesn’t it?
Hirata: Yeah, the way I feel about the Urasai sections.
Hoshi: You were an active member in those.
Hirata: But, I’d like to attempt more of those. You know, until the lines start ring in my ears. Lines like, “stop messing around” or “I’m tired”.... But, he was in serious trouble, wasn’t he? The pappi guy.
Hoshi: Trouble? Pappi?
Hirata: Not you.
Ishida: Eh? Ah, you mean the Pappi I played.
Hoshi: Ah, yes, the Pappi Ishida played. This time–
Hirata: He was in serious trouble.
Hoshi: Yes, he was. After the long speech he gave, it turned out into an awful ending for him.
Hirata: An awful one. You hate it, don’t you?
Ishida: Yes, I hate it.
Hoshi: You hate it?
Hirata: You must be seething.
Seki: But, this is Pappi-san’s fate.
Ishida: Indeed, it is.
Hoshi: Pappi’s drowning his sorrows....
Ishida: And he was the one who explained their situation in the first place. [In track 1: At the gym, Hakkai explained why the Ikkou, especially Sanzo and Gojyo, needed to use the gym but turned out to be the least fit of them all according to an age meter.] I think everyone’s who’s listened to the CD Drama could imagine his frustration. That’s Hakkai all right. I mean, Papkai.
Hoshi: All right. Moving on, since this talk is also supposed to revolved around a particular theme.
Hirata: There’s a theme?
Hoshi: Yes. We’re just done with the part about our thoughts on the recording. So, let’s move on to the theme. Which is related to the audio drama we’ve recorded [Track 1: At the gym]: sports you’ve recently done and sports you’d like to try – do you have any of those? Let’s take turns to talk about it. Seki-san, would you have something to say about this topic?
Seki: Me? Quite recently, I did some ‘life bowling.’ I pushed myself and perform some hiphop music. It’s not something one typically does at the age of fifty-five, I think.
Hirata: Would you perform a bit for the listeners? (made some hiphop sounds) That’s awesome, Sanzo-sama!
Seki: This is the limit.
Hirata: It’s really a big deal.
Hoshi: You should really show us.
Ishida: It’s your real nature coming out.
Seki: Well, let’s put that aside and talk about the sports I’d like to try. There’s this sport I want to try the most – have you guys seen this program called Honyaguchi Hiroishi on TV? The guy in it ran, jumped over a railroad crossing and walked on the wall.
Hirata: Ah, the Velcro Guy.
Seki: I want to do that sport.
Hirata: It looks fun.
Seki: When I looked it up, I found out it’s called “wall-crashing.”
Hirata: It even has a proper name.
Seki: I thought, that was not really sport, but it turned out that it’s indeed listed as a type of sport.
Hirata: Is there something like an international competition for it?
Seki: Yes, but there’s also a rental service available for it.
Hirata and Hoshi: Rental service?
Ishida: Isn’t that something that’s impossible outside of that TV program?
Seki: It seems possible to do it outside of the program, as evidenced by the existence of the rental service.
Hoshi: So it’s doable.
Seki: Yes. The cost for a day’s rent of the equipment is seventy-five thousand and six-hundred yen.
Hirata: I have a question!
Seki: Yes, please go ahead.
Hirata: For our wrap party, let’s–
Hoshi: It might be doable!
Seki: Sounds fun!
Ishida: What are you trying to do?
Hirata: Hey, you at the back–
Hoshi: It sounds fun though.
Seki: Hold on for a second, Hira-chan. It’s written here, though – the rental costs seventy-five thousand and six-hundred yen for a day for one person and covers one course.
Hirata (referring to the staff member he called out to): Ah, they got away.
Hoshi: Oh boy, that’s all for this amount of money? This is–
Seki: It’s a sport that’s gained popularity in a short time. There’s a note about an electric fan being included in the price as well.
Ishida: What is it for?
Seki: I have no idea, though.
Ishida: For cooling down after sweating?
Hoshi: Maybe they’re being generous?
Hirata: To spur you onward, maybe?
Seki: Maybe it’s like what Ishida-san said – you’ll run easier with the wind [from the fan] blowing on you.
Hirata: With lots of newspapers flying in your wake....
Seki: Ah, like what Hira-chan said, blasting against the frontier.
Hirata: It’s decided then. We’ll do it [wall-crashing] for the wrap party.
Ishida: What sort of a wrap party is that supposed to be?
(They talk over each other, mostly repeating the same thing.)
Hoshi: All right.
Ishida: Everyone’s fired up.
Hoshi: I’m really curious about this sport. At any rate, that’s the sport Seki-san wants to try. All right, moving on. Hirata-san, please.
Hirata: Me? What would you like me to do?
Hoshi: Tell us about a sport you’ve been doing recently or a sport you’re interested in trying.
Hirata: A sport I’ve been doing recently, right? I bet it’s something you guys aren’t up to.
Hoshi and Ishida: What is it?
Hirata: Tossing and turning in bed.
Hoshi: Eh?! Is that sport?
Hirata: I think it is!
Hoshi: Tossing and turning is sport?
Ishida: I think it’s the first time I’ve heard tossing and turning being described as a sport. I guess it could be considered a sport for someone leading a bedridden life. Are you all right?
Hirata (emits a few mock coughs): It’s tough, you know.
Ishida: Ah, is it?
Hoshi: Is tossing and turning tough?
Hirata: Yes, it is. The other morning, while I was tossing and turning, I got this cramp in my leg.
Hoshi: Ah, that’s happened to me too.
Hirata: The pain woke me up immediately.
Hoshi: I see.
Hirata: It started with just a little spasm but it went cramping on for a while after that. I opened my eyes and said to myself, “Oh shit, I did it this time.” ** I didn’t think I would get such a cramp.
Ishida: Did you make it to the toilet in time?
Hirata: I barely made it somehow.
Seki: They say tossing and turning really makes a big difference to the quality of sleep. If you’re not able to toss and turn properly, you won’t get get the best out of your sleep.
Hirata: Understood. I’ll aim for the black belt.
Ishida: In tossing and turning?
Seki: Who will award such a thing?
Hirata: I’ll aim for rank eight.
Seki: It’s an amazing “sleeping technique,” isn’t it? [A pun: newaza (寝技) is made of the kanji for sleep and technique, but the term itself means pinning technique in wrestling or martial arts.]
Hirata: Tossing and turning in your sleep, rank eight!
Hoshi: Does that mean the sport you’d like to try is also tossing and turning in your sleep?
Hirata: I guess it can still count as that, even though I’ve already tried it. And there’s also the sport Seki-san was talking about.
Hoshi: That one, right? Fine, understood.
Hirata: For the wrap party. Yes, when is it? When is the wrap party?
Hoshi: Hira-san is the most fired up about this, isn’t he?
Hirata: Let’s do it, let’s do it. I’ll be the one in red, wearing the red, uh–
Hoshi: What will you be wearing that’s red?
Ishida: You want to dash about in a red boiler suit.
Hirata: Yeah, I want to appear in that.
Hoshi: You’re really filled with motivation.
Hirata: The boiler suit comes with Velcro fasteners, doesn’t it?
Seki (chuckling): Does it?
Hoshi: That’s about it from Hira-san. Well, how about you, Ishida-san?
Ishida: You guys seem to be into one or other type of sports, don’t you? I don’t exercise at all, you know.
Hoshi: Indeed you don’t, as far as we know.
Ishida: Since I’ve not been doing any sort of sports regularly at all up to now, I’ve been thinking I should do them. For instance, I should try running. Or going to the gym, like the scenario in the CD Drama.
Hirata: Indeed.
Seki: Even if it’s not the balance ball.
Hirata: If the four of us were to measure our bodies’ actual ages in real life, perhaps Akira would turn out to be the–
Ishida: Ah, but I’d be fine with forty-six. Yes, please let me be the age my character is supposed to be. [Forty-six is Hakkai’s biological age according to the age meter in track 1: At the gym. In 2017, Ishida Akira (born November 2, 1967) would be fifty.]
Hirata: No, no, no.
Hoshi: In reality–
Hirata: We’re talking about real-life measurements.
(Ishida laughs.)
Seki: Ah, have you heard? The sound director Takakuwa got his biological age measured and it turned out to be really young.
Hoshi: I saw it.
Ishida and Hirata: What was it?
Hoshi: Believe it or not, it was twenty-eight years.
Seki: Amazing. [According to myanimelist.net, Takakuwa Hajime was also born in 1967.]
Hirata: Is it his body age? Or skin age?
Ishida: How much on earth did he pay to get such a young age?
Hoshi: It was his body age.
Seki: If that’s really the case, it’s amazing.
Hoshi: I did take a good look at the printout of his result.
Seki: But Akira-kun, you own a bicycle, don’t you? With a bicycle, you could try doing stuff like–
Ishida: Something like trick riding?
Hoshi: Seki-san, it’s dangerous to suggest things like that to him.
Seki: Is it? But, it should be fine in places like public parks.
Ishida: It’s probably not allowed to ride a bicycle in public parks.
Hoshi: It’s dangerous with children around.
Seki: It’s not allowed, is it?
Ishida: But, a long time ago, when I was appearing in a play, I got my hands on a balance ball on the off-chance that we might be using it on stage.
Seki: So you own a balance ball!
Ishida: Indeed, I should’ve used it since it’s in my possession, but it’s already covered in dust.
Hoshi: Ah!
Seki: Ha.
Ishida: The only thing I do with it is to keep it inflated, with the optimistic idea that I’d be using it one day.
Hoshi: I see. You’re just keeping it in place.
Seki: Talking about keeping it inflated, it’s important to maintain the symmetry.
Ishida: Well, isn’t it basically just a balloon?
Seki: Hira-chan, should we have him bring it to the wrap party?
Hirata: A balloon?
Hoshi: That too?
Hirata: You could come as a cross-dresser, run and jump up and down onto the balance ball–
Ishida: So you mean I should use the balance ball like a trampoline.
Hoshi: It could be fun.
Ishida: I guess one could really use it that way.
Hoshi: But normally, couldn’t you sit on it?
Ishida: Indeed I could.
Seki: I saw on TV that it’s possible to train your muscles just by sitting on a balance ball.
Hoshi: It is, isn’t it?
Ishida: It’d be great if one could. **
Seki: What color is it? Is it red?
Ishida: It’s silver.
Hirata: If it were green, I might feel like using it.
Ishida: Ah, what a pity I didn’t get the green one.
Hoshi: What a pity.
Seki: Let’s paint it green.
Hirata: We can use it for a watermelon splitting game then.
Ishida: I’m sure everyone will be okay with that at the wrap party.... having the ball smashed to pieces at their feet.
Hirata: What about the monkey?
Hoshi: It’s my turn, isn’t it? As for me, I’m not doing any sports at the moment. Well, Ishida-san, you know this, don’t you? I keep thinking about this: You don’t look like someone who runs regularly, yet you don’t get fat at all.
Ishida: About that – if I were to take of my clothes, it’d be a dreadful sight.
Hoshi: Come on! That’s not something you can hide [under your clothing].
Hirata: Me too!
Hoshi: Really? You can’t hide that [being fat].
Ishida: That’s because I’m deceiving you using an outfit-coordinating trick.
Hoshi: No, no, you’re not.
Ishida: It’s a trick set I bought via mail order.
Hoshi: You're just having me on. Alright, moving on–
Seki: Hold on, Hoshi-kun. The main topic is just beginning. We can spend the next ten minutes on it.
Hoshi: We don’t need a main topic. Wait, main topic? Well, for now, I’d like to try running.
Hirata: Are you running [regularly already]?
Hoshi: I want to try it.
Hirata: Then don’t. [He’s trolling poor Hoshi-san again....]
Seki: Hey, Hoshi-kun, which club did you belong to during high school?
Hoshi: High school? Quite a number of clubs, actually: court tennis, natural science, lounge tennis... that’s it.
Hirata: Why did you join the lounge tennis club when you were already in the court tennis club?
Hoshi: Well, I was in the lounge tennis club in middle school. When I went to high school, I got the impression that court tennis was more suited to high-schoolers. It was tough, though.
Hirata: Did you quit court tennis and return to lounge tennis?
Hoshi: Yes, I did.
Seki: Basically, the sport you’re into is tennis.
Hoshi: It was. All I do these days are juggling with tennis balls. I belong to the go-home club.
Hirata: Go-home club.
Hoshi: Yes, in the end, it’s go-home club for me.
Seki: But if you were to stand at a court now, would you still be able to deal the opponent a powerful smash?
Hoshi: I was probably never able to do that in the first place.
Seki: Why don’t you try doing it for the Saiyuki wrap party?
Hoshi (laughing): Why do you and Hirata-san ask for everything at the wrap party?
Hirata: You could jump onto the balance ball, then leap onto the wall and walk on it, before hitting the smash.
Seki: After that, we can let Hira-chan fulfill his wish [of wearing the boiler suit].
Hoshi: Wish?
Hirata: My wish is the last event of the wrap party? Saving the toughest item for last, are we?
Hoshi: I see. Well then, let’s go with that.
Ishida: Are you fine with that?
Hoshi: Well, one would really sweat it out if one were to perform that thing Seki-san was talking about.
Others: What?
Ishida: The sport in which you jump onto the wall and walk on it.
Seki: It’s called “wall-crashing.”
Hoshi: Wall-crashing? Yes, in the end, it turns out to be the sport to try.
Hirata: For whom?
Hoshi: All of us.
Hirata: Not really.
Hoshi: Yes. And we’ll be riding the balance ball while doing it.
Seki: And tossing and turning as well. Hoshi-kun, how about you? Will you be playing tennis at the same time?
Hoshi: Tennis, yes.
Hirata: Will you?
Hoshi: I won’t.
Hirata: Will you or will you not? Which is it?
Hoshi: I’ll stick to wall-crashing. I think I’d like to give it a try. Okay, everyone, that’s it. I guess at our age, we might as well take this opportunity to exercise, right?
Seki: What the heck! In the end, this is the take-home message you wanted to deliver!
Hoshi: Make sure you do your exercises, okay?
Ishida: Be a good boy and listen to him, everyone.
Hoshi: Let’s try to lower our body age as much as we can.
Hirata: Understood.
Seki: Okay.
Hoshi: All right! As for Saiyuki, the journey ahead won’t be continuing for long. I hope for your support in the next installment. Well, that’s it for the cast talk in the first volume. See you again in the second volume! Until then, goodbye!
Ishida and Seki: Goodbye!
Hirata: Bye-bye!

Thanks @chaniis-atlantis for the tag!! ❤
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
currently 66 though next month I'm hoping to have time to finish transferring over the rest of my old fics from FFN
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
1,495,124
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, Stargate Atlantis previously (deep breath): Star Wars (OT & the novels that are now called Legends [I think]), X-Men, Kiesha'ra, Valdemar, Pet Shop of Horrors, Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Saiyuki, MCU/Avengers, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Angel the series, The Last Unicorn, Lord of the Rings, Dead Poet's Society, Homer, Gargoyles
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1- "Nemo" (SGA) 2- "Nykteridolotry" (SGA) 3- "One and One and One is Three" (MCU) 4- "Regina Donum" (SGA) 5- "Your Prison is Walking Through This World All Alone" (MCU)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! I've met some great people through comment discussions. 😁 Probably the only time I don't is when someone comments on multiple chapters at a time on their read-through; in those cases I tend to only respond to the comments that I find the most interesting rather than to all of them, though it depends on my mood.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Um probably "Beast of Venery" (SGA) though it is part 1 of a series that ends much more happily. Oh! I forgot about "Lie Still" (AtS)! It's a character profile of Wesley Wyndham-Price that literally no one has read (the only fic of mine at FFN that has 0 interactions). Very angsty, and probably very "in my own head" which is why no one else liked it lol.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I am an absolute sucker for happy endings, so this is like choosing... i dunno, a best flavor of ice cream. They're all happy. I might say "Ivory Fanged" (Kiesha'ra) is the "happiest"? Or maybe "One and One and One is Three" (MCU)? Just because the first involves 2 kingdoms worth of people celebrating, and the second like 5 realities/multiverses of people being (relatively) happy at the end.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really? I do get weird comments sometimes. I got a comment on "Reunion" (IY) where the reader complained about the story being unfinished (when it was clearly marked that it was unfinished/abandoned) and that it had ruined the series to finish it on that note. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
lol. Yes. A lot. Mostly m/m, though I've occasionally branched out into m/m/m, m/m/m/m, and f/m. As far as kinks or types of smut, I honestly don't think I could remember all the scenes I've written, though I love power dynamics so I play with that a lot. And I've written both rape and incest, if by "kind" you mean the stuff that really gets people hot and bothered.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
LMAO. Crossovers are the reason I write fic in the first place. My favorite characters meeting each other is like... the shit. The craziest one (that ever made it to being partially posted anyway) was called "Twenty-Four Hours of Midnight," and was a crossover between The Three Musketeers, Dragonheart, X-Men, and Angel the series.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No. I don't think so? But that would be awesome.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
No, but sortof? Eos (Eos_x) did illustrations for my fic "Aubade" so we are credited as co-authors.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
I don't know if I can answer this. I ship whatever smashing together of my favorite characters works for me at the moment, and I have a lot of favorite characters. And do you mean to read, or to write? Conceptually, in my head? Or best execution, either in fic or canon? Because I feel like these would all be different answers for me...
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I have a fic currently working-titled "Though Far Away, We're Still the Same" which is a multiverse John/Todd/Rodney fic. I realized I wanted to change the arc of an OC, which will require rewriting the whole thing, and I'm realistically never going to have time for that.
16. What are your writing strengths?
For 3 fandoms now I've written snarky asshole/ancient villain as a ship, and I think I've gotten pretty good at the dynamic lol. I'm pretty good at dialogue I think, and while it's a bitch to write it I'm pretty good at action (as far as making everything make sense spatially).
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Conflict. Usually I start writing a story knowing how the conflict will be resolved and then I lose all interest in it and have to keep reminding myself that the characters are still in it, they don't have resolution yet.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Author's discretion (because you write fic for you) but in general I don't care for reading it unless it's short endearments, non-plot relevant, or well known information. (Or the meaning gets otherwise explained in the surrounding text.) I never liked it in old books where the author will just throw in lines of French or Latin and expect you to know what it means. I think it pulls the reader out of the story, so I don't recommend it unless that's your intention. If you have two characters who are speaking a foreign language to each other, fully understanding each other, you should write the dialogue in the same language as the fic (because in the reality of the fic, everything is happening in that same language, if that makes sense). Though there are definitely some concepts that don't translate well; when I was writing a lot of anime fic I experimented by having one fandom where I stripped out all the Japanese honorifics and one where I kept them in, and I feel like it gives a different vibe to the fic. I've recently been reading a lot of Mandalorian adjacent Star Wars fics and I have to say I do not care for uses of excessive amounts of Mando'a. A few endearments, concepts that are very common knowledge, fine. But whole sentences? It better not be anything I needed to know for the plot because I am not looking that up. (lol I did not expect to have such opinions on this topic 🤣)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
OT Star Wars. First posted fic was "The Secret Life of Harrison Ford." Don't read it, it's not good. (Unless you like the same high school humor that me and my high school friends did?)
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Technically, this is a fic that isn't posted yet, but it's 90% written so it counts... lol. It's called "Circumvolution" (SGA) and I've been writing it in the background over the last few years whenever "Regina Donum" started giving me fits, so it's very much a work of love and a story I wrote for me. It was originally conceived as the ending of the "My Name Forevermore" series, but it's done (mostly), so I've moved it to be the next big fic I post after I finish "Regina Donum."

Buddhist references in Saiyuki (part 1)
Tumblr media
English translation of this post.
I love this scene a lot because of both how it was drawn (the style is very beautiful, linear, clean and detailed) and Hakkai's words. When Goku says "He looks like the real one", Hakkai replies with "Because he is the real one". Despite he is not always like a Sanzo, he is a real Sanzo due to his title and the sutra he brings on his shoulders. Here we can notice the "dual nature" of Minekura characters, in this case Genjo Sanzo, who usually does not behave like a "real" Sanzo (we know his defects well) but depending on the occasion (religious ceremony) he knows how to be one (thank god observant people don't see him when he is not in the limelight XD). Depending on the occasion we have to wear masks that do not always fit the situation.
What I like the most about Reload Blast (I actually like everything about it) are the Buddhist references that I have found in this image and will analyse here.
The first symbol that caught my interest was the Endless Knot ( srivatsa in Sanskrit , dpal be'u in Tibetan) or Eternal Knot. It is composed of closed lines intersecting at right angles and symbolizes the beginningless cycle of existence, the inextricable bond of wisdom and compassionate method of Buddha's enlightenment and infinite love and harmony. Originally it seems to have been connected to the Nagas (klu in Tibetan) serpentine beings, half human and half serpent, linked to the water element, protectors of treasures, Sutras (the Prajnaparamita Sutra was hidden by the Buddha in the Naga realm) and also many Teachings. Some of them are Dharmapala (protectors of the Dharma). This symbol is also linked to nandyavarta, a variant of swastika a primordial symbol of constant, endless flux. It is also one of Eight Auspicious Signs, why "auspicious sign"? Because it is the highest symbol of good omen if it is offered together with a gift or a writing and indicates the bond between the giver and the recipient, remembering that every positive and favorable effect for us in the future has its roots, its causes from our actions in the present. As mentioned, it represents the link between Wisdom and Method and these two, from a tantric perspective, are the feminine (Wisdom) and masculine (Method) energy. Since it has neither beginning nor end it also symbolizes the infinite wisdom and knowledge of the Buddha and the eternity of the Dharma through its ceaseless becoming and being in its manifesting for the benefit of all sentient beings. Here is a picture of it:

Author Dontpanic (DogCow in German Wikipedia)
Another thing that leapt out at me is the Mandala (dkyil khor in Tibetan) which more generally represents the palace, the energy field, the Enlightened environment, the Pure Land of the Yidam taken into account. The drawing of the image is very generic, but if I get a close-up of the center I think there might be a seed syllable which is linked to Yidam (1). Mandala represents the quintessence of all phenomenal perceptions, it is the support that allows the practitioner to access these perceptions and the center is none other than the mind of the Buddhas. The Mandala is therefore a skillful means of purifying and transmuting the darkened perception of ordinary beings into enlightened perception. We have three ways to look at the Mandala:
Mandala of the Base: it is the natural Mandala of the Vision, the purity of all phenomena, the intrinsic potential of all things ans beings.
Mandala of the Way: it is the means to integrate the practice with this Vision and is divided into two aspects. The graphic Mandala which represents the plane of reality and the Mandala of significance which concerns the experiences of the practitioner, which in turn concerns the outer Mandala of external perceptions, the inner Mandala of internal perceptions and the secret Mandala which reveal the mind of wisdom.
Mandala of the Fruit: it is achieved when one obtains Buddha's (both trikaya and five wisdoms) Enlightenment (the Fruit of the Way).
Depending on the context a Mandala can have multiple meanings, i.e. it can symbolize the Guru/Master surrounded by his/her/their disciples (2). The Mandala can be divided into "Divine residence Mandala" and "Resident divinity Mandala": it must be imagined as a building of light, square with four doors that rests on an enormous cross-shaped vajra. The four doors symbolize the "Four Noble Truths", the four equal sides of the base of the Mandala represent the Equanimity of the Buddhas towards creatures. The palace is surrounded by a barrier of vajras that prevent anyone and anything from penetrating, in turn this barrier is surrounded by flames, the flames of primordial wisdom. Externally or internally (depending on the type of Tantra, but here you can't see it well, because as mentioned it is a very generic Mandala) at this line of fire or rather circle of fire there are eight cemeteries inhabited by terrible and frightening beings (I wouldn't like to hazard a guess, I think they could be the Eight cemeteries of ancient India considered suitable for meditation but I could also be wrong). This symbolizes the understanding of Emptiness, which goes beyond the dualist division of impure/pure since in Tantrism (not only in Tibetan but also in Japanese, Kashmir and other forms of Tantrism) one is beyond the dualist dichotomy of things and everything is a manifestation of primordial purity. These three barriers (the cemeteries, the vajras and the fire) teach us a very important thing: to access the Yidam palace and tantric practice you must have the ability to abandon Samsara, to develop altruistic aspiration and understand Emptiness. The "Mandala of the deities who reside there" is made up of all the deities, the main one and his retinue. At the center of each mandala there is the main Yidam, which represents the primordial condition of existence, corresponding to the space element, the Mandala is therefore a sacred space charged with the energy of the Yidam and its retinue is capable of transforming the disciple, here I put the peaceful (3) Mahamayuri Mandala:
Tumblr media
The other object that can be seen is the incense holder which is very important in altars and offerings as can also be seen well here in this page.
As functional as these objects and symbols may seem (and I know they are in part) to the graphic representation of the place, here elements with a profound meaning that must make us reflect have been inserted. I really appreciate that Minekura included them.
Notes:
(1) In Sanskrit, iṣṭadevatā, it is translated as "meditational deity", literally "cherished divinity", but I do not like this translation choice because it can lead to the erroneous idea that in Buddhism, especially in Vajrayana, there is a god worship kind of which is not true because in Buddhism practitioner focuses on Enlightened beings and takes refuge only in them. Gods are sentient beings residing on ārūpadhātu, rūpadhātu and kāmadhātu and are all subject to the merciless rules of karma and twelve nidānas. They are in the same boat as humans, asuras, animals, pretas and naraka beings. This is why I prefer the Tibetan term Yidam which means "effort of the mind". The word is said to be a contraction of ཡིད་ཀྱི་དམ་ཚིག (yid kyi dam tshig), which means to bind one’s mind ཡིད (yid)་ by promise་དམ་ཚིག (dam tshig). I know very little of Tibetan but it intrigues me as language because of deep and interesting implications it has from a doctrinal and academic level it gives to Buddhist terms and concepts.
(2) I do not rule out that in the manga page there might be a symbolic connection between Sanzo who recites the Sutra and disciples around him.
(3) "Peaceful" here means in opposition to wrathful Yidams which use violent means to destroy obstacles to Enlightenment. Peaceful Yidams on the other hand use subduing methods to deal with obstacles.
---------------------------------------------------
Final thoughts: sorry if this description of Mandala and endless knot is not precise at describing in a more concise and spoon-fed way with types of mandalas, their meanings, symbolism etc. Information provided here are based on my personal experience with Buddhist practice, Buddhist forums, resources, books, academic texts (especially the ones made by Alexander Berzin) and experiences from other practitioners. Maybe in future I might talk in a more descriptive yet very detailed way. Here I wanted to focus more on core essence of these objects shown in the manga page. Hope you like it and have a nice day/evening.

Credit to prompt list belongs to @aquagirl1978 .
{Though I did change a few to something I’m more comfortable writing.}
⇀the reason this is being posted so early is so that i have plenty of time to write and you have plenty of time to request since last time I put the list out I completely forgot.
my kinktober event is request based, meaning you can send in a theme/plot for the event and i will write a drabble (…something that is less than 2k words…) that will be posted. this takes place during the entire month of october. I be doing a non kinktober event too.. ↼
•+•
REQUEST RULES
⇀since there are only thirty -one days in october i am only taking the first thirty -one requests that i get - if you send in a request and it doesn’t get put into the event i will always communicate that with you and some sort of compromise and be worked out (…like it can be included into my regular request schedule…) so don’t be afraid to ask about the event or to send anything in ↼
⇀I will be posting the fandoms below that I will write for this event↼
⇀i will only write for a character twice in this event. this is because i know that certain characters i write for are more popular, and i don’t want to write thirty - one days of the same character like last time. ↼
⇀ when you send a request in please specify that it is for this event or else it won’t be part of the event and will instead be seen as a regular request and therefore won’t be posted in october ↼
⇀Orange means it is taken. ↼

[Recommendation] Picking Up Older Works Now
Tumblr media
Source: Promotional images for Sailor Moon, Inyuasha, and Naruto

It has never been easier than now to pick up older anime. Older works are widely available on legal streaming sites like the YouTube channels of official license holders, Crunchyroll, Netflix, Funimation, Peacock, HIDIVE, and more. Moreover, many older works can be watched for free online without the need for a membership.
Although some older anime may contain what would now be considered questionable content, such as nudity in Ranma 1/2, many still hold a valuable place in the anime community and history of animation.
As an “older” fan of anime, I’ve been reflecting on the merit of older works and how I might recommend them to new fans of the medium. While newer fans may be drawn to recent anime, I believe that older, slightly more obscure works are worth exploring, especially since they are readily available.
Many series that I once considered recent are now five to six+ years old. The works that introduced me to anime are even older, and their graphics may not be appealing to new fans. Additionally, remakes of these series may lack the same charm that the original works had within the community.
Still, I’d like to argue in favor of giving older works a try. Many older series have seen revivals, such as Sailor Moon and Fruits Basket. Longer ongoing series like One Piece, Naruto/Boruto, and Dragon Ball also have continued fan appreciation.
While I understand that some new fans may be overwhelmed by the length of these longer series, there are other options available. Some big ones for me include CLAMP’s other significant works like xxxHolic or Tsubasa Chronicles, and shounen like Detective Conan, which is still airing to this day with a largely episodic format for easy pick-up. These works, along with many others, are available but overlooked by many newer fans in favor of more popular series like Cowboy Bebop or Card Captor.
Finding a title of interest can be as simple as Googling older series that are similar to something you are into now or picking up works that are ongoing but lack the same complicated history regarded in serialization as some of the bigger works do. In my personal experience, looking up older works led me to Saiyuki, which has since become one of my favorite series of all time. It has multiple seasons and sparks my interest not just because of the action parts but also because of the introspective moments that likely stem from its source material.
Who knows? You might discover a new favorite series that has been overlooked for far too long. I certainly have!

Hi momo! I was wondering since a lot of your stories have liked really cool monster ideas, have you ever been inspired by Asian mythology like yokai or even cool stories about kung dragons or the monkey King?
I have a bunch if Japanese inspired stories actually! I haven't done anything about the Monkey King or anything about the journey to the west (I really love Saiyuki so I'm surprised none of those characters have inspired something) But here's some of my Japanese mythology inspired stories
Kenta the Kitsune (Part 1, Part 2),
Hiro the Onikuma (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4),
Yamabe the Oni (Bi-MLM),
Yayako the Yuki-Onna (WLW),
Noboru the Dragon,
Eiichi & Taichi the Kitsune Twins (Poly; Part 1, Part 2),
Zashiki Warashi and Amaya (Grief; Non-Romantic),
