Aku sekarang tau rasanya semangat menjadi muda. Ketika darah masih segar menggelora. Tiap hari pikiran berapi-api, "Akan melakukan hal hebat apa aku hari ini?"

Aku ingin ikut ini, gabung ke situ, dan pergi ke sana. Wah! Macam-macam rasanya!!! Seperti dunia ini sudah dalam genggamanku saja...

Awalnya nikmat² saja. Aku tentu enjoy menjalankannya. Namun, apa yang aku genggam itu perlahan mulai menelanku hidup-hidup. Api semangatku tadi tak cukup kuat untuk membakarnya. Kalau tidak dengan kesabaran dan teliti mengambil langkah, maka aku akan kalap dalam pilihan dan arah yang kuambil sendiri.

Ialah yang kugenggam itu disebut dengan amanah.

Ada ternyata batas dari kesanggupan kita mengambilnya. Tangan kita dicukupkan hanya dua untuk menyeimbangkannya; amanah di dunia dan amanah di akhirat.

Amanah mana yang kita dahulukan, sebenarnya perlu untuk kita seimbangkan. Jangan sampai kita menzolimi orang lain dengan lalai terhadap apa yang diamanahkan.

Jika tidak sanggup, kita pasti diberikan dua pilihan; ambil atau tinggalkan.

Tentu hanya kita yang tau daripada orang lain sampai mana batas sanggup kemampuan, sekuat apa tangan ini bisa erat menggenggaman, sekokoh apa pundak ini berdiri tegak 'tuk menopang, dan setabah apa hati ini dalam menjalankan tiap prosesnya.

Amanah memang tidak pernah salah memilih pundak, tetapi pundak yang kuat adalah milik mereka yang mau mengambil peran dengan sadar terhadap batas kemampuan.
