NSFW Volo: How the Turn Tables
Volo was, essentially, a charming asshole. He loved getting a rise out of you whenever he could. Just last week he had pulled you into his chest to help you "dodge" a wild pokemon. It was a Bidoof that was running around your legs. The entire thing had you flushed red as you tried stammering out a reply. Then he had the audacity to ask if you were running a fever and placed his forehead directly on yours to feel. You swore you could've fainted from just that alone.
Then yesterday, he was eating with you and noticed you had something on your hand. Volo grabbed your hand and licked a little bit of sauce off it before kissing the palm. You had frozen for a few minutes, not knowing what to do with this as he let you go. He then again tried to act concerned at your frozen state before commenting that you looked cute with a blush on your face.
Volo was slowly killing you, and you had no idea what to do about it. That's when you recalled something from back in your own world. A small trend that had circulated on a particular app, that you had a feeling would get a rise out of him. You had it all planned out as you waited for the next time for Volo to be in town.
It was late at night when you spotted him, sitting down by the cart, since Ginter had already retired to bed. This meant that poor Volo was having to deal with the night duty of watching the cart. Not that he had much to do since the village was relatively peaceful, so he just sat there and enjoyed the midnight air.
Everyone else in the village was asleep except for a few guards, but from where Volo was sitting it was a bit out of sight. So you walked over and crouched down in front of Volo, getting the man's attention.
"Ah, there you are...need to do a bit of shopping?" Volo asked, tilting his head with a smirk on his face. You chuckled and shook your head in response.
"Nah, I got the next day off, so I planned on relaxing...then I saw you and wanted to say hello." You said, pretending like you weren't going to do anything.
"And what did I do to deserve such an honor?" he asked, placing a hand over his chest.
"You were being you...however earlier today I was thinking about a trend that used to be big where I came from. Wanna see what it is? It's kinda like a game." You explained and Volo had his interest piqued.
"A game, from another world? You've peaked my curiosity." he said with a smile, sitting up a bit more, "Show me, please."
"Alright, so first you get both hands and entwine your fingers and make a fist with them both." You said, demonstrating it. Volo looked a bit untrusting as he did so, having a folded prayer hand pose, "Perfect, now you just stick your fingers up." You said, once again demonstrating.
Volo did so and the moment he did, you took your own hand and trapped his fingers in your grasp. You then pinned his arms above his head while you leaned closer to him. Your body was almost on top of his as you looked down at him. The position was something that you'd consider embarrassing, but the light blush on Volo's cheeks were worth it. You stuck out your tongue as you looked at him.
"I gotcha~" You sang, loving your mini victory over the man. Volo blinked owlishly at you as he processed what was doing on. Then he smirked, raising a knee and placing it between your legs.
"Are you so sure about that...you know you shouldn't start things you can't finish, especially not out in the open." Volo said, whispering the last part, as he leaned his face to be right against your ear. He blew some cool air into your ear, making you squeak and letting his hands go. You went to back up, but felt his hand wrapping around your hip as he dragged you to his lap.
"The guards never come by this area, you know." Volo said, his leg going between your leg as he pressed up against your sex. You groaned at the small amount of friction he was giving you. Your hips going to grind down on him as you tried getting more.
You covered your mouth, loving his Volo continuously rubbed his leg between your thighs, giving you just enough friction to drive you insane, "V-Volo...shouldn't be go somewhere else...?" You tried to fight back another groan as he placed his hands against your hips and pushed you further down onto him.
He relaxed his leg, sitting you down properly on his thigh now, "You were the one who started this...you do realize how crazy I am for you, right?" Volo said in your ear, moving your hips along his thigh and making you whimper. You knew he was a tease, but you didn't realize he wanted you enough to have you ride his thigh in plain sight. If someone looked out their window, they'd easily be able to see what was going on.
"D-didn't realize it w-was to this extent..." You said, panting as you felt a warm coil in your lower stomach.
"I know you're not dumb...but you might be a little dense." he said, taking one of your hands and placing it over his crotch. You could feel his erection straining through the fabric of his guild pants. You gasped at the size, realizing his cock was a bit larger then you thought; it shouldn't be too surprising judging by how tall Volo was.
You hesitantly ran your hand over his erection, rubbing his through the clothes. Volo bit his lip as he shook his thigh a bit, sending an almost vibration like feeling through you. You cursed under your breath, squeezing your eyes shut as you tried grinding against him some more.
"S-so good, Volo...almost there." You said, bucking your hips against his thigh. You didn't care if you were about to cum in your pants in the middle of the damn village, you were too horny and worked up to think things through. Volo chuckled at your desperate and needy expressions as you tried getting off on his thigh alone.
Then, like a fire coursing through you, the tension snapped inside of you. You had to bite down on your free hand in order to stop from making noises and alerting the entire village as to what you were doing. You groaned into your hand, trying to steady yourself with a few years in your eyes.
Volo bucked his hips into your hand before hissing. He grabbed your wrist and took you off him, "But you didn't finish...did you?" You said between short pants.
"As much as I'd love to, I have to be here for the rest of the night; I'd rather not make a mess in my pants." he admitted. HIs erection was almost painful, but he could probably manage. It was better than sitting in his own cum until the sun came up.
"You sure...we could go to my house or...?" You said, looking around, "I could uh...no it might be too public." You murmured the last part.
"Oh, what's on your mind?" Volo asked, already having an inkling.
"I could...suck you off..." You said, feeling bashful. Volo chuckled as he brought you down for a quick kiss.
"How naughty...but if you insist; we just have to be quiet about it. Wouldn't want a guard coming over and seeing my cock halfway down your throat." Now that had you shivering.

If requests are still open and it's not too much trouble, can I request Bull Guzma, Adaman, and Leon reacting to S/o pregnancy? (Ps Please have a Happy Thanksgiving.)
Aaaaaa Happy Thanksgiving this is my gift to you! I'm grateful for all my readers!
Bullfarm au! Pokemen react to S/o's pregnancy
(feat. Guzma, Adaman, Leon)
Cw: pregnancy talk, all about babies!
Tumblr media
Guzma
Tumblr media
Puffing out his chest in Pride strutting around like he's the giant bull on the farm, he's a winner, and he knows it, wearing the fact that he is The Big Bad Guzbull with a pregnant mate as a badge of honor, rubbing it in the faces of all the other Bulls that he was the one who claimed S/o. With you by his side he feels as though he could take on the sun and win. Behind that prideful bull was a terrified one. Frantic and worried for your safety, he demanded and even forced you to stay in this soft nest of blankets that he had stolen and made for you. This big bad ball Cooing soft words of endearment as he snuggles closer to you to keep you warm. Refusing for you to go anywhere else but by his side because to him he is the only one that can protect you and if anything happens to you he would never forgive himself.
Promising to you that he would be the best father to your calf. As big bad, and rough as he still appears to be, he has vowed to leave the life of troublemaking behind him when he first arrived on the farm. He wants to be an excellent example for his child, a good father, a fatherly figure he didn't have.
The bulls that see Guzma for what he betrays himself to be will never understand how soft and sweet he really was. Brushing his head against yours as his eyes glaze over feeling his fingertips gently brushing against your tummy.
But you don't understand why he still puts on this tough exterior.
" it's to protect you." he murmurs now rubbing his face against your tummy. "Cuz no male will ever bother ya if they know who they will be messing with."
Adaman
Tumblr media
Impatient Adaman over worries and over prepares for the arrival of his child because the longer he waits the more anxiety he feels. What if something goes wrong?! What if another hybrid tries to hurt you?! What if you don't sur-. Is grateful that you're always there to soothe his anxieties before they spiral. The only thing you could do now is prepare and make sure you are pampered.
Adaman is a busy bull, he knows he couldn't waste his time worrying he'd rather be caught dead then under prepared if you need him he needs to be ready for anything. He couldn't be wasting time so there he was you're serious hard-working bull fluffing the nest he had prepared for you for the fifth time before going to the orchard part of the farm to grab you and sneak you some fruits. He needs to make sure you are healthy he needs to make sure that you are eating. Because of your healthy his child is healthy.
It finally got your busy bull to cuddle with you after trying to convince him that you'll be fine and it's okay to relax with you occasionally. Adaman finally relents as he joins you in the nest, wrapping his arms around you, finally enjoying this cute moment, his hands feeling your stomach, his heart touching whole. For your sake, he will take breaks, but he's reminded why he is trying to get ready. It was for you and his future child.
Leon
Tumblr media
Happiest bull in the world as soon as he found out, he told any bull who would listen about the calf that was coming Raihan was already sick of Leon since his child was all he would talk about. Sonia and Milo thought it was cute I know is that possibly most new parents go through that phase . Staying glued to your side with that big smile on his face, Leon was already a very lovey person, now it seems like He can't keep his hands off you! As if leaving your side is torture even when you have to work chores on the farm Leon won't be too far away watching intently until you're finished so he could scoop you up and have you all to himself once again. It seems like that's all he wants to do now. When he is not sparring with others on the farm he's cuddling and laying with you in the nest whining when you try to get up and leave him. Giving you the biggest puppy dog eyes until you cave to his demands.
This whole body is practically against you, his face buried into your neck, mooing to you about what a beautiful parent you'll become—vowing you that he'll be the best father. If you are ever feeling scared or doubtful, Leon will instantly ease those fears, because he knows that you are a hard-working kind and caring person and you will try your best and your child will love you unconditionally!
He knows that there will still be some time till your child is born, but he can't help but fantasize about holding them in his arms—the baby he made with his beloved mate. And you already look so cute laying in the blankets, your belly already beginning to show. Laying his head against your tummy, his tail thumping against the hay from how hard it's wagging.

Could I maybe get a Hisuian!Reader who came to Paldea through a space time rift? They remember everything, they still have all their old Pokemon, they like to share stories of their adventures (anything from taking on Volo to "Oh yeah, I caught this alpha garchomp after a half-hour standoff, here's her gigaton ball lol."), they've got little scars here and there from accidentally standing too close to Pokemon attacks or taking fall damage, and they give descendants of their Hisuian Pokemon to their blueberry friends (BBE4, Carmine, and Kieran) during their trades. To make things even more interesting, I wonder what that reader would think about bloodmoon ursaluna, Perrin, and modern Sinnoh - seeing their dear friend Adaman in someone alive today and seeing just how much things have changed over the years
Tumblr media
The PLA fixation is real so YESSSIR I finally got around to this one. I separated the headcanons by region and their respective characters
.............
Paldea (Arven, Penny, Nemona)
After finishing your mission in Hisui, you decided to confront Arceus, being satisfied with everything you've done for the Survey Corps and the good people of Jubilife Village.
You fully finished the pokedex, fulfilling Professor Laventon's dreams, and were ready to return home.
After some reluctance, Arceus agreed and ensured you wouldn't lose any of your memories, as you didn't want all your feats in Hisui become lost to history.
It warned you that you'll never get to see Rei/Akari, Professor Laventon, the Wardens...or anyone else ever again.
But you've said your goodbyes and were ready to go back.
One warp through a space-time rift later, you were dropped off in Paldea-
Right where Arven, Penny, and Nemona were discussing whether to call off the search for you or not.
As it turns out, you've been missing for months, not long after the Area Zero adventure, and so it's a rather tearful reunion when they realize the person in the old fashioned clothing was you.
You looked tired, scarred, battle-hardened...and yet you smiled as you joked about being "back from the past".
Since then, easing back into modern life was..trickier than you expected.
You still had the habit of crafting pokeballs and potions as you were taught, rather than spend money buying them in bulk (even though you had boatloads because of your champion status).
You tried getting the trio to follow your directions, but they kept fumbling with the tumblestones and didn't know where to attach the iron chunks that made up the clasps.
When you start talking about feather, wing, leaden, and gigaton pokeballs they stare at you in confusion until you realize "oh shit those are outdated".
Nemona is VERY curious about the gigaton ball, however, and so you show it to her--revealing your Alpha Garchomp branded with the "Former Alpha" mark. She got to keep her height.
"Oh yeah, she was a real feisty one. We had a half-hour standoff on a slippery ice mountain slope but I showed her who's boss haha." You laugh as you share the story of how you encountered and tamed her.
Your fellow champion now thinks you're 10x cooler for actually facing a Pokémon head-on....while poor Arven and Penny are shook(TM) and wondered how you made it back alive.
Especially when they discover your scars are from falling and vicious Pokemon attacks
Introducing your Hisuian starter to your Paldean starter was...a little awkward. One recently became a champion's Pokémon and the other faced Giratina itself.
But they eventually shake hands and become besties, becoming members of your party whenever you wanna battle Arven, Penny, or Nemona again.
You keep accidentally calling out agile/strong style in your commands (ie "Avalugg, make an Agile Avalanche!"), but your Pokémon like to pretend they still know them.
Kitakami (Perrin & Bloodmoon Ursaluna)
Returning to Kitakami felt most familiar..and quite comforting considering how traditional everything is.
Festival of the Masks came back around, and while you didn't get to spend it with Kieran nor Carmine this time...you did wind up spending it with somebody else...
Perrin, who you were drawn to after seeing her Hisuian Growlithe getting into trouble with an Arbok and trying to stand up for itself.
Reminds you of a certain late lord's son..
She expresses her thanks for rescuing her buddy, and mentions how you got there "right on time".
You just look into her eyes and see Adaman: the Diamond Clan leader, the kind man who gave you the celestica flute and came to your aid when you got exiled from the village.
He may be gone now, but time didn't allow him to be forgotten.
Because he lives on in somebody else.
Perrin gets concerned when she sees how emotional you're getting, but you just wipe your eyes and say she just reminds you of an "old friend".
When you show her your other Hisuian Pokémon, she's THRILLED and wants to take all of their pictures, delighted to have proof that these creatures existed.
That leads her to ask how you acquired them, and you start talking about your adventures in the very region she's been studying...including the fact you met her ancestor who used to worship Dialga and had an easygoing attitude like her.
Girl is taking notes fr.
Together you seek out the "Bloodmoon Beast", only to discover that it was an Ursaluna who travelled alllll the way to Kitakami from Hisui, the environment causing it to change appearances and abilities.
You were fascinated, wondering what Lord Ursaluna or Calaba would think of him, and made him a member of your team after quelling his rage.
While going on more casual photoshoots with Perrin, you ask her about what Sinnoh is like now or if anyone there knew about Hisui.
She mentions how the elderly folk talk of it, and how the subway battle system was being run by one conductor due to the other going missing...
You find yourself holding your breath---until she says "oh but apparently he came back like yesterday" and you were SO relieved.
'Ingo made it back home, too. Thank you Arceus.'
She plans to invite you to Sinnoh someday, seeing as you're so curious about what it all looks like now.
BB Academy (BBE4, Carmine, & Kieran)
When you got to study abroad at BB Academy, you...sorta forgot all the beef you had with Kieran until you saw him berating a student out in the terarium.
A year later, you're Paldea's champion AND the one who saved Hisui, but you couldn't exactly tell him the latter.
But now you understood why everyone back then calling you a "hero" made you a little uncomfortable.
Ogerpon (who was worried sick about where you've gone all this time), was SO happy to see you were back and got to meet your Hisuian Lilligant. Two plant gals just vibing together.
You find a Kleavor in the canyon biome and become a bit sentimental, happy to see a descendant of the Lord of the Woods had survived to this very day.
He must've known you were the one who helped his ancestor (albeit not without receiving some scars from flying wood chips), as he bowed and began walking alongside you, loyal to a tee.
Least to say, he became a valuable ally when you finally battled Kieran in the championship.
He sees that you've definitely changed a lot, too. You look tougher and he was concerned about where that scar across your eye came from....
But he's still obsessed with winning, and his attitude when talking about Terapagos afterwards reminds you of...well...Volo.
It's such an extreme comparison, and you hate how your brain immediately jumped to that considering that was a legitimate monster of a man who betrayed you.
Yet it feels like such a similar situation when Kieran pits the turtle against you in the Underdepths, obsessed with power and wanting nothing more than to be recognized as "worthy".
At least he wasn't planning on ending the world, just yours.
After you both reconcile, you spill the beans about where you've gone for the past year, expecting him to laugh or shun you again for keeping such a big secret from him.
Instead..he has this star-eyed look and wanted to know MORE.
So during your next visit to Kitakami, you tell him and Carmine some stories of your Hisuian adventures, showing off Kleavor and your Alpha Garchomp.
Seeing that you still liked to make authentic pokeballs and potions made Kieran appreciate you a lot more. Kitakami used to have a lot of those apricorns, tumblestones, and leeks before everything became mass-produced.
Like him, you really became out-of-touch with today's technology, so while he's learning it, you're re-learning it along with him.
Eventually you tell those same stories to the BB E4, who are all just as shocked, amazed, and bewildered as the twins were.
And when they all came to offer up a trade, you knew what to do:
For Drayton, you gave him a Goomy, insisting that he trains it fully, not wanting to spoil the "surprise".
As lazy as he is, he does so and is stunned when Sliggoo is revealed to be chilling in its own shell, and Goodra had its whole shell on its tail, capable of withdrawing into it anytime
Ngl it makes him wish he had his own shell to withdraw into just to escape situations.
For someone like Kieran who likes old-fashioned stuff, you figured a Hisuian Voltorb would suit him best.
Its appearance reminds you of the olden ways pokeballs were made, and he got the hang of crafting a few himself after a little trial and error!
He gets nervous about it exploding like Kantonian Voltorbs at the slightest touch, but is happy to find out it's super friendly and discharges just to spook humans.
As for Carmine, the sharpness in her golden eyes reminds you of a certain ghost type's...and thus you believed giving her a Hisuian Zorua was ideal. You had a feeling she'd love its evolved form.
When she does evolve it, she's stunned that it has reddish highlights like she does, jokingly asking if this is her in "another life".
Least to say, she loves it indeed.
While you were adamant about giving Amarys your Kleavor, you ended up trading her a Scyther and give her a black augurite afterwards, explaining how it's the secret to its other evolution.
She mentioned deposits of that mineral existing within the canyon biome, but it couldn't actually evolve the surrounding Scyther population due to being simulated.
But thanks to you, she gets to witness that in-action because you held onto an authentic piece of it, and she gives you her thanks.
As for Crispin, well, you believed a Hisuian Growlithe was perfect for him. It was energetic, loyal, and full of fire..just like him.
He got teary-eyed at the story you told of the late Lord Arcanine, his son, how you quelled his frenzy, etc..and feels inspired to train the pup you've given him into something incredible.
One thing Kantonian and Hisuian Arcanines have in common? They love spicy foods.
For Lacey, you trade her a Hisuian-born Petili, encouraging her to use the sun stone right away.
She does and is delighted to see Lilligant as such a graceful dancer..who really packs a punch when it counts!
She'll definitely doll her up and ensure she knew Charm (the only fairy move Hisuian Lilligant could know, alas).

Can you write some headcannons for Adaman and (if you're ok with it) a male reader? I really like Adaman, but all the fics are x f!reader
of course, anon. this is my first time writing for Adaman, i hope you like it.
Adaman x Male! Reader General Headcanons
Tumblr media
For all the emphasis Adaman puts on not wasting time, it takes him a while to realizing his feelings for you.
The man is usually preoccupied with Diamond Clan matters, after all. Relationships were never really something he put much thought into in the first place, and things naturally can fall to the wayside.
However, when he does realize (or when Mai calls him out for staring at you again,) he's actually pretty quick to make his feelings known!
In his eyes, time is a precious thing, and he doesn't want to waste it on wondering when he can instead spend that time with you.
He'll let you know when the two of you are alone, probably with a small gift. Something meaningful that he spent time making for you.
He's very casual about it and makes sure not to pressure you at all.
When you reciprocate, he's ecstatic! Might end up sweeping you up in a hug then and there, forgetting about his calm and collected clan leader persona for a moment.
While queer relationships aren't actually too uncommon in Hisui, this is probably the first time he's had feelings for another man. (Or anyone, really.)
So it's very new and exciting to him!
Probably not super huge on excessive amounts of PDA and whatnot (he has an image to uphold, after all) but will happily hold your hand and exchange quick kisses when there's not so many people around.
More than happy to indulge in all the affection you'd want in private, however.
If you're a part of the Galaxy Team, he takes care to note the times you go out exploring for your research to see you off, if he can.
He'd like to go with you, but often his responsibilities prevent it from happening.
Will fret over you slightly, telling you to please be careful and stay safe. He trusts your natural ability and skills, but Hisui is a dangerous place. He doesn't want you to get hurt, is all.
Thinks about you often when you're gone. His mind is constantly running a hundred miles a minute, but thinking of you and what you might be doing helps him slow down, in some small way.
"Spending time with you is time well spent, in my eyes!"

Why?: Volo x Reader
After everything you've been through, you can't help but be kind to him. But why?
Spoilers for post-post-game.
You were hardly aware of the tall grass crunching under your feet as you hiked along the cliffside. You had searched every nook and cranny for the slightest hint of the man who betrayed you. Why were you looking for him? Why did you care? After hours of trekking and months of searching, you didn't have enough energy to ponder them.
You turned a jagged corner and ducked under an overhang when suddenly you saw it: a hole in the rock face that was just big enough for a large person to squeeze through. You impulsively stuck your head in the gap and let out a gasp.
The cave was decorated with various artifacts that you had never seen before. If that wasn't obvious enough, a yellow and white bedroll was spread across the floor. This had to be it.
"Hello."
You turned around and instinctively threw your arms over your face, cowering from a blow that didn't come. You slowly lowered your arms to see a frustratingly beautiful man staring down at you.
Time had not been kind to Volo. His hair was unkept and knotted, and his once-white tunic was streaked with dirt and grime. It was almost... pitiful.
As if reading your thoughts, he looked down and cringed at his own appearance. "The wilderness was- easier to traverse in my Ginko Guild uniform."
You were shocked by his lack of aggression, but more than that you were shocked by your own. It was by pure instinct that you sought out this man, this man who had tried everything to strike you down. Did time alone in the wilderness make you placid? Did it make him placid?
You searched your pockets and pulled out a haircomb made of finely carved Magikarp bone.
Volo's expression shifted as you offered it to him. He was always hard to read, but now that you know what he's capable of, his true emotions were even more unknown. "Why." he finally said.
You looked down at your feet, not knowing the answer to his question. To his thousand unspoken questions. Because you were my friend? Because I learned a lot from you?Because even though you tried to strike me down I somehow kind of respect you?
"Because your hair is messy."
Volo snatched the comb from your hand and gingerly attempted to run it through his once-beautiful hair, but the teeth quickly got stuck in a matted section.
"Let me help," you offered.
He tried in vain to break up the tangled blond mass before finally tossing the comb at you and sitting down on a rock with a huff.
You gently took his hair between your fingers, assessing the damage. It was clear that he had at least bathed during his exile, but river water could only do so much. It would take hours to detangle it all.
Volo fidgeted under the heat of your gaze and the touch of your hands. He looked like he wanted to speak, but the two of you were locked in an inescapable silence as you began slowly fixing his hair. He knew you wouldn't fall for his usual charms. You knew he wouldn't respond well to talk of redemption. You worked in silence until you gently draped a freshly detangled lock over Volo's shoulder.
"Thank you."
You both spoke the words at the exact same time. Volo turned to see you stifling a laugh with one hand loosely placed over your smile.
"You're welcome." You both quipped simultaneously.
Now Volo was laughing. Oh Almighty Sinnoh how you missed that laugh. It reminded you of your adventures together seeking out legendary pokemon. Before Spear Pillar. You sighed and looked at him wistfully. His round face and sharp chin, his half-lidded grey eyes that squinted a little when he smiled, his strong arms that you could finally appreciate through his threadbare tunic. In that moment you realized you were finally seeing the real Volo.
"Why?" Volo asked again, as soft as a song.
As you searched for the right words you suddenly felt the weight of your pack dig into your shoulders. You dropped it in front of you and held out the comb again.
"Because your hair could have been messy."
You reached into your pack and pulled out a set of fine clothes woven with threads of gold.
"Because your clothes could have been dirty."
You reached in again and pulled out a set of tinctures and bandages.
"Because you could have been hurt."
Again and again you pulled countless gifts from your pack. Sweet-smelling soaps, a collection of leather-bound novels, a set of hand-drawn illustrations of each of his Pokemon, warm woolen socks. Each gift with a sentiment. A worry. A prayer.
Volo gazed at you as you spilled your heart onto the rocks by his feet. The chosen vessel of his silent god was here, worrying for him. Seeking him out. Spending months of time and wages just to ensure his well-being. A few months ago he would have called you foolish. Before that, he would have shoved down his emotions and thought of you as a useful tool. But now? All of the feelings he desperately tried to ignore since the day you met came flooding back.
In an instant you were in his arms. You hadn't even registered that he stood up, yet here you were swallowed up by his mass. Your head pressed against his chest as he cradled your body with ease. You melted into each other's touch, breathing in the mountain air.
You gazed up at him, noticing the soft intensity in his eyes as he stared back. His arms shifted slightly, tightening his grip around you. Unkempt as he was, Volo was still beautiful.
"Why?" You asked.
You could feel Volo's chuckle vibrate through his body before trailing off into little hums. He removed one hand from your embrace and ran his fingers along the combed section of his golden hair. It was his turn to lay his heart bare to you.
With every chance encounter, Volo had grown to admire your love for Pokemon. With every legendary pokemon and plate you tracked down together he began to grow fond of your presence. The world was so unfair, and yet over the past months Volo found himself yearning for the company of its protector.
"Because... I love you."
Volo said it with certainty. No smirk on his face or humor in his expression. A few months ago he considered you proof that life was nothing but unfair to him. Now, you were proof that the world was kind.
You squeezed him even tighter and buried your face in his chest. It was only after catching the sound of Volo's racing heartbeat that you realized you never gave him an answer.
"I love you too."
Volo smiled his signature toothy grin and suddenly your feet were off the ground. The both of you laughed as he spun you around with adrenaline-filled joy.
The two of you collapsed onto the rock with you in his lap, enjoying each other's warmth. You reached to run your fingers through his hair when you remembered. You pulled the comb from your pocket and began untangling a second lock of hair. You could stare directly at his face now. You liked this smile much better than the smirk he used to wear. This one crinkled his eyes into a warm expression and rounded his cheeks. The more you stared, the more you noticed a pink blush creep across his face.
"May I kiss you?" You found yourself asking.
"Are you sure?" Volo's smile faltered. Another set of unspoken questions. Are you sure you want to trust me again? Are you sure I'm worthy? Are you sure you want to love me?
"Yes." You breathed.
Volo's lips crashed into yours with surprising intensity. His grip on your body tightened as he poured every ounce of passion he had ever had right into your lips. You let out a squeak of surprise as he leaned you further down until your head was parallel to the ground. His hand cushioned your head against the rock as you felt his whole torso pressing on your body.
Every moment you thought he'd break away he didn't. You were locked in your embrace as the sun began to set and the heavens began to unfurl. Finally, when you thought you'd fall asleep with your lips against his, Volo slowly pulled back and searched your expression. Was that too much?
"I- wasn't expecting that."
"I've waited a long time." Volo said simply.
You suddenly became aware that the gifts you bought were still scattered at your feet. "It's getting dark. May I stay the night and care for you?"
"It would be an honor."

//Chatting
My buddy has decided to start another playthrough of LA, but they told me this time they're going to get to a certain point in the story and then stop, effectively holding Volo captive.
And then I started thinking about your self aware AU and wondering how he might react to that.
You don't want him to leave? So much so you'd turn back time from their point of view (and thus proving your divinity)? Maybe you just intended to torment him by ensuring the second phase of his plan can never go into motion, but he'd probably take it as a purely affectionate action. Perhaps even believing that you want to grant him salvation.
He doesn't need to go through with his original plan to meet Arceus.
You've opened his eyes. He knows who the true deity is.
Now this is good 👀
Volo is fully aware after a bit. You restarted time, and refuse to initiate the final encounter, just so you’ll be able to see him again and again?
He has hearts in his eyes. You truly are a merciful god, not only reversing time just for him, but wanting to see him as much as possible.
You truly are divine. How could he not have seen this sooner? No matter, now that he knows who the real god is, he won’t spend time needlessly chasing a False God.
You’re the only one he has eyes for now. The only one he’ll spend time worshipping.
Don’t worry, he won’t try to grab Arceus’ attention any longer. He’ll be trying to grab yours.

Hi, i love your writing andjsndlw!!! May i request Adaman x touch starved reader who has finally started to open up to people since has arrived in hisui? Any pronouns are fine and can also be smut if that's ok with you
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
hi hi! im very flattered that you love my writing, thank you! i can totally do that! i dont do smut mainly because i feel like i wont do it any justice and ill write it super awkward- but im considering trying to write spicy stuff in the future so you could request stuff then! im also going to try a new way of writing heacanons, ive seen other people write this way and it seems easier. (also im not sure if you wanted a story or headcanons)
Tumblr media
-he was actually happy to see you finally opening up to the people around you. i mean you kept to yourself since the day that you arrived so why would he not be happy about you physically opening up to people, hes especially happy when its him
-the first time you've ever openly craved his touch he lightly teased you as he had that smile on his face (you know the one) but then of course embraced you in his arms while his other hand played with your hair
-you dont mind hugging or clinging onto people in public. but with Adaman you'd prefer to do all that in a private place, you dont know why you just do. (you do know, you just dont want people in public to see the flustered look on your face and how vulnerable you look as you melt in your touch)
-he also finds it absolutely adorable when you cling onto people in public, he loves seeing your face. later he even asks you about it. And he smiles happily when he feels you cling onto his arm and lightly tug the fabric of his haori.
-i also imagine you just clinging onto his arm as he walks around working or judt doing things in your shared tent in the diamond settlement. or even when the two of you are walking in a secluded area surrounded by wild Pokemon.
-he honestly wouldnt mind spending his time or even missing part of a meeting just to lay down with you in his arms as you crease his back and he creases your hair/head. wouldnt mind spending his time with you at all because he's an absolute sucker for you
-he wouldnt mind doing that all day until you go to sleep in his arms. he would also constantly rub your back through out the night and make you feel all warms oh my god-
-one thing he would constantly do is that he would play with your finger tips, and after a while he will match your finger tips with his and leave it like that for a couple of seconds before slowly intertwining his hand with yours, and you absolutely love when he does that. (this has me blushing oh my god 💀)
-if he ever sees you hesitate to cling onto him or to grab his hand he'll just pull you close to his chest so you could cling onto him or slightly brush his hands against yours before intertwining his with yours.
-i also imagine that one day you were clinging, hugging, etc onto Adaman and your Pokemon appear and push that two of you even closer to each other. if you have a Sylveon i imagine it wrapping its ribbons around the two of you binding the two of you together.
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
You silently sat on the edge of the bed in your and Adaman's shared tent in the Diamond Clan settlement. Inside the tent was surprisingly big despite its small appearance on the outside. As you sat your feet slightly hoovered over the floor and you began to slightly kick your feet.
You let out a sigh through your nose as you leaned placed your elbows on your legs and propped your face in the palm of your hands. You starred at your swaying feet for what seemed like hours, you've been waiting Adaman to come back from a meeting. Of course you know that Adaman is an extremely important person and he doesnt just belong to you and only you, but in that moment you cant help yourself. You want to be in his arms and be engulfed in his scent.
After some time you saw a shadow being cast over you. You looked up and it was the one and only, Adaman. You hadn’t noticed his arrival because you were occupied with the thought of… well, him (funny isn’t it?) He had his usual smile on his face and his right hand rested on his hip. Your fingers lightly twitched against the fabric of your pants. Without a word you got up from the bed and embraced him tightly, your force caused him to stumble back a bit.
He regained his balance before wrapping his arms around you. "I missed you.." you breathed out against his chest. "I know I know..." he rested his chin on top on your head and began to rub circles on your back. A sigh of relief left your lips as you leaned more into his touch. "I know you're busy, but please stay..?" He smiled, "Im yours for the rest of the day. My attention is yours, my time is yours"
From then on the two of you spent the rest of the day together in each others embrace. You focused on him, all his attention was yours (same with him), and you made sure to keep as much physical connection with him as possible. :)
Tumblr media
hi, so i formatted the story and HC's differently because i realized that i write in clumps and that might be difficult for others to read so i spaced them out a bit more. Let me know if this is better!

Intentions - Volo x reader
Tumblr media
“heyyyy i loved ur last fic!! do you think you’d be willing to write another? i thought this sounded like a fun idea: a volo x reader fic where the reader is just as secretly unhinged and resentful as him and have the same goal. they think they’re manipulating each other into what they want, but then they realize that they’re both after the same thing and escalate their friendship into something more? 🤭 thanksss <3” - anon
i FINALLY got this one finished!!! it only took me a month and a half :')
i hope you enjoy! <3 (also thank youuuuuu!!!!! <333)
y/n - your name 2k+ words (2,076) friends ⟶ lovers
Plates.
Plates are what you’re after.
You’ve been searching and searching, seeking them out to meet with a higher being: Arceus. You’ve devoted so much of your time and efforts into studying the Almighty Sinnoh. Laying low is so hard to do. But, despite how much you want to express your true feelings toward this land you call ‘home’, it’s better you didn’t.
You’ve been watching Volo and the new recruit from afar; watching them both gather the plates you’ve been longing to find. You sigh in frustration.
They were supposed to be yours.
Once you return to the village, you run into Volo. It seems he’s stocking up on wares to ‘sell’. You already knew he had the lowest numbers in the Ginkgo Guild. It’s not that hard to overhear, especially where you like to sit on Kamado’s balcony to do your work.
“Seems like someone’s heading back out.”
He turns to you with a rather shocked expression. “Y/n! You startled me.” Quickly gathering himself, he calms down and and smiles. “How did you know I’m heading back out?”
“Well,” you begin, tilting your head. “firstly, you’re stocking up on more wares. Perhaps to sell, or… to use for yourself.”
You see his cheeks flush slightly. “How do yo—”
“Second, your trousers are already splattered with fresh mud, most likely from the Mirelands. Nowhere else has dirt so… red.” You pause. “What were you going to say? I’m sorry for interrupting.”
He purses his lips. You can tell he’s trying to read you. “Nothing… we’ll pretend it didn’t come up.”
“Mhmm…”
Silence takes over. It’s not like either of you to stay this way for very long, as you both like to carry on lengthy conversations on the interesting facts of the region. Volo finishes stocking his bag and throws it back on, grunting as the weight of it almost pulls him to the ground. “Well, I’m off to… sell.”
“Before you go—”
His eyes widen, eager to hear what you have to say. Any information to him is important, and you know that oh so well.
“Would you mind telling me why you were the one chosen to help the new Survey Corps recruit over me?”
He’s taken aback by your question, almost offended that you had asked. “You know how well versed I am in these studies, y/n. You wouldn’t understa—”
“I wouldn’t understand?” Your eyes grow angry. “Do you know how long I’ve been studying each and every ruin and artifact I’ve found in the Hisui region? How much time and effort I’ve put in to piecing together this stupid binder for Cyllene, just so I can spend more time out in the open air? I wouldn’t understand?”
“I didn’t mean to—”
“What I don’t understand is why they let an outsider take the lead on this one.”
You’ve offended him.
Oh, how you’ve offended him.
“Excuse me?!” he shouts.
You glare at him, lowering your voice. “You heard me, Volo.”
—————
It’s been a few weeks since your argument. Volo’s been trying to apologize since the day after is happened, but you don’t want to hear it.
“Y/n, please! Do you think I want to help Akari on my own?”
“Who?”
“The new recruit…”
You shrug.  “I never bothered to learn her name.”
Volo lets out a hearty laugh. You’ve never seen him so genuine; so true, even in your past conversations. “That was good.” he responds. “I wish I could say the same.”
You both joke around for a while. It’s nice to have a friend back on your side.
“Hey…” You break the silence, a more serious tone taking over. “What if I… help you? You know, with finding plates?”
A coy smile spreads across Volo’s face. “I love that idea.”
—————
“For safe keeping. You both travel quite a bit, and I would hate for either of you to lose them.”
Weeks have passed. You’d convinced Volo and ‘whatever their name is’ to let you keep the plates in your possession. Volo was a bit apprehensive at first, but the girl seemed to trust you. “I think it’s a good idea, Volo. Y/n does have a point: we do travel a lot.”
“Fine.”
More days pass. You have all but one. You cannot believe how easy it was to just… take them. You smile as you sit on the bank side of Lake verity, taking in the fresh air around you. You feel a hand touch your shoulder. Startled, you look up to see Volo.
“What are you doing here, y/n?” He sits down next to you, setting his bag to the side.
You shrug. “I needed some air, and Lake Verity is so pretty this time of year.”
He nodded in agreement. “And the plates? Are they safe?”
“Of course! Do you think I’d let them out of my sight?”
He smiles, looking to the water glistening in the sunlight. “Good.”
You sigh. “Hey, this may sound strange, but…” You take a deep breath. “Do you ever feel that… the girl is… getting in the way.”
His eyes light up, and even though he’s not looking at you, you can tell he’s interested in what you have to say.
“I mean, she wouldn’t even know where to look if it weren’t for you. And, if I’m being honest, you know more about these plates than she does.”
“She’s gotta get home somehow.”
You shrug. “All I’m saying is that you deserve this more than her. We deserve this more than her.”
You watch as Volo’s lips curl into this small, almost unnoticeable smile. “You know,” he says, looking out at the water, “I was wondering when you’d come around.” He turns to you, the smile on his face growing bigger. “I mean, it was only a matter of time.”
“I’m not quite sure what you’re getting at.” you reply. “I was only trying to ma— wait… you’re not doing this for the sake of helping are you?”
He laughs.
Oh how he laughs.
It’s a beautiful sound; a melody. Tears start to roll down his cheeks from the laughter. “Oh, y/n!” he chokes out. “I never have been!”
You start to giggle.
“I was only trying to get you on my side.” he continues. “I figured it would be—”
“Volo,” You interrupt. “Why do you think I asked to keep the plates?”
He stares at you, unsure of what to say. His eyes are wide, and he seems surprised that you, you, would be trying to sabotage not only the girl, but the entire Survey Corp? “Y/n…” His voice is soft; hushed. “I never thought that you—”
“That I’d want to turn my back on the people of Jubilife? Because I’m not.”
He’s silent.
“I’ve always had this intention. It just took me years of acquiring the knowledge and the connections to feel comfortable enough to go for it…” You pause, watching a Magikarp leap out of the water. “Besides… the girl makes it easier.”
Volo gently slides his hand over yours. You don’t think anything of it.
You’re friends.
“Meet me in the Highlands tonight.” he says. “There’s something I need to say.”
—————
The Coronet Highlands were so pretty at night. You lay on your back in the patch of flowers at Fabled Spring, looking at the billions of stars just above you in the sky. Volo arrives not too long after you, setting his bag against one of the trees. For once, he’s not in his uniform, wearing a dark green kimono and matching trousers. “I thought I’d dress little casual this evening.” He sits down next to you, pulling something out of his pocket to hand to you. “I thought you may like this.”
You sit up and carefully take what he’s holding. “A comet shard!” you squeak. “How did you—”
“I found it in the Mirelands; the day you caught me with mud-stained pants.” He bit his lip, looking to the ground. “The day of our little spat.”
You’re silent.
“I’d been wanting to give it to you for so long, and…” He looks at you, eyes filled with starlight. “I just didn’t know how.”
“Volo, I…” You exhale. “Thank you.”
He shakes his head. “No need to thank me, y/n.”
You both lay there for a while, listening to the nature around you. It’s so peaceful; serene, the fireflies lighting up the spring.
“I wish every night were like this.”
Volo squeezes your hand a little tighter. You watch as his lips curl into the smallest, yet sweetest smile. It makes your heart flutter.
Had you always felt these things?
“Feeling content with sharing the experience of a serene, summer night.” he continues. “It’s easy with you.”
“I agree.” you reply in an almost whisper. “It’s… it’s nice.”
You can feel his eyes on you, even when you’re focused on the stars above. “So what did you want to talk about?” you ask, trying to break whatever tension you were both feeling.
“Never mind that.”
You look to him once more. “Volo, I—”
“I just want to share this moment with you.”
He rolls over on his side to face you, his hand caressing your cheek. “Do you know just how pretty you are?”
Your abdomen feels like it’s going to explode. You can’t help but to blush as Volo says these things to you. You hope he doesn’t notice, but…
“Do you like it when I say these things?” He scoots closer, his chest barely touching your arm. “Hmm?”
You look at him, and it’s hard to keep yourself contained.
“I did, actually, want to talk with you about something tonight.” he whispers. “If you’ll allow me to.”
You nod. He takes a deep breath, his hand still placed on your cheek. “Y/n, I— if we’re to use the plates for ourselves, and forge this new world, would you… would you mind if we did it together?” He gulps. “Because I don’t want to do this without you.”
“Volo…”
He pulls you in close.
So, so close.
“I can’t do this without you, y/n.”
You wrap your arms around him tightly, tangling your limbs together in the patch of flowers you lie on. Volo nuzzles his face into your neck. His breath is warm against your skin, his fingers tracing the seams of your Survey Corps uniform. You feel your breath hitch. Volo feels it too, looking up at you when he does. “Are you alright?”
You nod quickly. Maybe too quickly.
“Y/n, promise you’re not lying to me.”
“I promise.” you breathe.
His fingers continue to trace your uniform, every seam; every outline; every wrinkle in the fabric. “Y/n?”
“Hmm?” You watch as his fingers slowly trace their way up to your neckline.
“You do know I meant it when I said you were pretty, right?” His tone has completely shifted. He smirks lightly as he looks at you, lust in his eyes. “Because you are.” Untangling himself from your grasp, he sits up, pulling you up with him. “My pretty y/n.”
You were feeling those things again.
And he knows it.
He leans in as close as he can, noses almost touching. “Promise you won’t leave me behind.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.”
He grabs your waist tightly and presses his lips to yours, pulling you into his lap as he does. He’s so passionate, yet so soft; his lips warm against yours in the cool, summer night. He pulls away to look at you, his eyes meeting your gaze as your lips part. You both smile at one another, and Volo is quick to kiss you once more.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for so long.” he says, holding your hands in his.
“Then why didn't you?”
“Because I needed to know where your intentions were.”
You giggle softly at his remark. “Obviously, I made the right choice.”
“That you did.” He pushes a stand of hair out of your face. “Not completely off topic, but how many plates do we have so far?”
“Seventeen.” you respond. “Why?”
He starts to get up, you sliding off his lap into the flowers. Volo extends his hand to you to help you up, not letting go once you’re standing. He looks to the mountain just up above, and a mischievous grin quickly forms on his face. He turns back to you, squeezing your hand tightly.
“Let’s go.”

A New Years Fresh Start - Volo x reader
Tumblr media
Title: A New Years Fresh Start Chapters: 14 Words: 3,500+ (3,884)
Summary: It’s New Years Eve. You’ve been looking for Volo for months with no information on his whereabouts. You head out of Jubilife Village in the dead of winter to find some closure, only to find more closure than you’ve anticipated. (Self insert fic, redemption arc for Volo. Reader is the main/playable character, but is an adult.)
apparently reader insert fics are against ffnet’s community guidelines, which really sucks, considering that’s all i write now. so i’ll just re-post this one here <3
(1)
There you were: laying in a bed that clearly wasn't yours. White sheets covered your body, keeping you warm from the chill that lay just outside the door. You looked around to see the inside of a cozy, remote cottage. Your eyes were still adjusting from being blinded by the snow outside, so everything was slightly blurry for a moment. But, when that settled, your eyes were focused on the blonde man next to you.
His hair was a mess from tossing and turning all night. The fact he was finally able to sleep was a miracle in itself. But, you couldn't blame him for his restlessness. Well… you could, but it wouldn't do either of you any good. You smiled at his soft snores. You'd waited what felt like an eternity to finally see him again, and you'd almost given up.
Let's face it. You had given up.
But, here you were.
_____
(2)
It was New Year's Eve. Jubilife Village had ended their celebration early, and you, being the adventurous Pokémon trainer they saw you to be, set off on a little adventure of your own. Professor Laventon saw you off as you left, now knowing the full extent of your situation.
"I hope you find closure, y/n. And, please… be safe."
You hugged him tightly before leaving, him hugging you just as tightly in return. The two of you were as close as family now. You'd like to think you were family, despite being from two completely different eras. You'd forgotten what family was until you met Laventon.
"If you need anything, you know where to find me."
And with that, you were off to the Colbalt Coastlands.
_____
(3)
You sat silently in your tiny tent high on the hill above the coast, watching the spheals roll around and play before they settle in for the night. The air blowing in from the ocean was frigid, but you paid no attention to it. You just stared out into the water, hoping, praying even, for a sign. But nothing. All you could hear were the waves crashing against Ginkgo Landing. After a while, it was clear: you weren't going to find closure if you were still looking for signs.
You took a couple deep breaths to keep yourself from going into a frenzied state, grabbing your pillow from your bag. You fluffed it and set it behind you, laying down just after. Bidoof snuggled up close you to. You smiled. Bidoof always knew when you needed comfort the most, and now was absolutely one of those times.
"Happy New Year, Bidoof. Thank you for always being there when I need you."
Bidoof let out a cheery squeak.
You closed your eyes. This was as much closure as you were going to get tonight. Luckily you had planned on staying out, so you brought some blankets to keep you warm. You took one last deep breath before trying to sleep. But, that's when you heard something out of the ordinary.
_____
(4)
A boat. A small boat.
You squinted your eyes to try to see it more clearly. You were sure it was just a passerby or one of the Ginkgo Guild members bringing in a late night delivery for Ginter and Tuli. But the more you looked, it became clear.
It was him.
You thought for just a moment on how to approach him, realizing you couldn't. But with all your training on tracking Pokémon, how hard could it be to track a human? Especially in the dead of winter.
You called Wyrdeer as quietly as you possibly could, as to not call attention to yourself in this moment. You scribbled a message down on a sheet of paper you'd ripped off from your notes. "Please give this to Professor Laventon." you whispered. And Wyrdeer was off.
_____
(5)
Your eyes were growing heavy, adrenaline the only thing keeping you awake. That, and well, the foot of snow you found yourself marching through. It was so easy to spot his tracks, and you wondered if he knew he was being followed. You shook off your nerves and persisted. You weren't going to wait any longer.
You were tired of waiting.
Eventually you ended up at a very small cottage, closer to the village than what you'd expected. How you'd ventured to Cogita's and never seen it was beyond you. You'd made the trip to her home every two-ish weeks to ask about the man, and she'd always say the same thing.
"Give him time."
You weren't an expert or anything, but you were pretty sure the only one giving time around here was Dialga. That's what Adaman had you believing anyway.
You knelt down and peered from behind a bush as the man opened the door to his home. You watched him with anger. You couldn't help but to huff as the door closed behind him. You got up from your spot and walked to the door, wondering if it was a good idea to knock. But, deep down, you didn't care.
You knocked.
A few seconds went by. No one answered. You still waited though, knowing that the man was either ignoring the knocks of of spite or out of complete fear for his life.
You knocked again.
It wasn't until your third knock that the door opened. You watched as the man's expression change from relaxed to complete animosity towards you. It didn't scare you though. You were well past anger.
You were enraged.
You both stared at each other for a moment, eyes filled with fire. The man almost towered over you. You'd actually hoped it would intimidate you more, but it didn't. You could hear his breath: hard, shallow.
"What are you doing here, and how did you find me?" he asked, his voice almost in a whisper.
You sneered slightly. "We need to talk, Volo."
_____
(6)
Volo's home was warm. You were sitting directly across from him in front of the hearth, your coat and bag hanging on the hook next to the door. Both of you were staring daggers at each other. Volo was kind enough to offer you some tea when you came inside, which actually surprised you. You took a sip as he sighed heavily, his arms crossing as he did so.
"So, what do you want?" he asked coldly. You could hear his breathing over the crackle of the fire.
You took a moment to think. You didn't know why this wave of anxiety rushed over you, and you didn't necessarily want to speak your truth just yet. But, you knew you had to at some point. Was this it?
"Well?"
No. It wasn't.
"We'll get to that." you replied. "Where have you been off to?"
He simply shrugged. "None of your business."
The silence was deafening, neither of you wanting to answer the questions that mattered the most. You took another sip of tea, gulping hard in anger.
"Why did you seek me out?"
Just as Volo did moments ago, you shrugged with a smirk. "I don't know."
He leaned in close. "Don't lie to me, y/n."
You froze. You didn't quite know what to say without spilling your feelings all over the floor. His face was so close to yours, and you finally felt a sense of intimidation.
"Tell me…" he whispered. "Now."
_____
(7)
Tears welled up in your eyes. And they welled up quick. You were sobbing on the floor of Volo's cottage. He'd never seen you cry before, let alone show any emotion to the extreme… other than anger. But his expression didn't change. He was still waiting for an answer.
"Well, if you won't tell me, then I guess I—"
"You know if you'd actually take a second to think—"
"Think about what, y/n?!" Volo interrupted. "You haven't said anything interpretable since you came in, and you expect me to just sit here and wait for an answer when you're the one that sought me out?!"
You couldn't bare to look at him now. You covered your face with your hands, shaking from your emotions. "I just wanted to see you…"
He was silent.
"I'm sorry." you cried. "I made a mistake in coming here tonight."
You started to get up, but Volo gently grabbed your wrist to prevent you from doing so. You looked at him, your eyes almost blood red from crying the entire night… His expression softened.
"I'm sorry." he said. "I'm just really angry, and I want an answer." He sighed. "And you're not leaving until I get one."
"So you're holding me hostage until then?"
"Well, it's better than the alternative." He looked to the window, suggesting you should take a look outside. You got up and looked out to see another foot of snow had fallen since your arrival. "I may really hate you, but I'm not throwing you out in that." He paused. "I'd never forgive myself."
_____
(8)
You both watched as the blizzard continued. You hoped that Wyrdeer had reached Professor Laventon before the snow began. You were sure your letter had been delivered, but you just wondered if it hadn't. Would he assume you're safe?
"I don't think I've ever seen it snow this much in Hisui…"
You just stared out into the dark.
"I mean, with the exception of the Alabaster Icelands, but we won't count that."
You didn't reply. Volo looked at you with worried eyes, feeling that he'd gone too far. Considering he'd once tried to kill you, he wasn't sure why he felt this way. Maybe the greed from before?
"Y/n, I didn't mean to—"
"It's okay. I promise." you said softly. "It's not the first time I've been an emotional wreck today." You sighed. "Besides, I love watching the snow. It reminds me of my past somehow. I'm not sure how, but… it just seems familiar."
You both remained silent for quite some time. It was weird, to be quite honest. The tension was high… to you anyway. Volo grabbed a couple blankets and lead you to the hearth once again, smiling slightly as you both sat down. You remained expressionless, as Volo definitely knew how to read you.
"May I ask why you've been emotional all night?" Now having broken the silence, Volo reached for your hand. You nervously accepted his gesture. "I mean, if you're not comfortable with that, then that's fine, but… I would at least like to know why you wanted to see me."
You hesitated for a moment, knowing that this was now your opportunity to come clean about some things. He rubbed the top of your hand with his thumb, making you feel somewhat angry. You pulled your hand away and took a couple deep breaths.
"I'm sorry." he said.
You just shook your head.
"I didn't mean to—" He stopped mid sentence, now seeing more tears streaming down your face. "Are you okay?"
"No." You buried your face in your hands once again, sobbing into the blanket that he'd handed you moments ago.
Volo had no idea what to do. He was in an utter state of shock. The one he tried to sacrifice to his God was now in his home, sobbing, and he… actually cared? You swatted away at his hand when he attempted to brush a strand of hair from your face. "I'm sorry." he repeated.
You lifted your head, trying so hard to be articulate. "You know, it's really hard to hate someone who's caring for you in a time of need."
"So… you hate me?"
You shook your head and buried it back in the blanket. "No…"
Volo leaned in, placing his hand on your arm. "Please tell me so I can understand." He sighed gently. "I promise to not let my temper get the best of me."

"You were trying to find closure?"
You nodded.
"From what, exactly?"
There was a twinkle in Volo's eye. You only saw him like this when you were both examining the ruins in the Coronet Highlands. You knew now he was being sincere.
"From situations that have arisen from… well… that night." you replied.
"Oh." Volo took a sip of tea.
"I'd wanted to ask you something, and when I turned around to do so… you weren't there." You bit your lip and looked at the floor. "So… I waited."
Volo took a second to respond. "What did you want to a— wait…" He knew. "You haven't…"
You shook your head. "No. I haven't met with Arceus."
"Y/n, don't you want to go home?" Volo asked.
"I don't know." You lifted your head and looked at him. "I feel like Hisui has become my home. And I know that complicates a lot of things, but I… I love how everyone cares for one another here. I don't think there's ever been a time like from when and where I'm from." You smiled. "Not like I can remember it or anything."
Volo chuckled. "You have a point." He paused, looking over to the window, and then back at you. "But why did you want to wait for me?"
You fell silent once again.
Volo caressed your face in his hand. "It's okay, y/n. You can tell me."
With a sigh, you answered. "I wanted you to come with me."
_____
(10)
He was shocked. Why would you, of all people, want him to come with you to meet Arceus?
"You helped me on this journey." you continued. "And, yes, you ultimately tried to sacrifice me to meet Arceus, but… you still helped me. And without your knowledge and keen eye for artifacts, I'd still be wandering Hisui for answers and guidance. You deserve it more than I do."
Volo remained silent, thinking on that night he left.
"I'd love it if we could go together."
He snapped back into reality. "Y/n, I can't accept this."
"Please?" You looked into his eyes. "I don't want to go alone."
"Then why not ask Cyllene or Kamado?"
"Because I wanted to ask you, Volo." You adjusted the blanket on your lap after speaking.
Volo, in a hushed tone, replied. "Y/n, I gave up everything after that battle. I know what I said was in interest of seeking out Arceus, but… but that's what got me… well us, into this mess in the first place. Yes, I'd still love to meet our creator, but I wan't to put that version of myself behind me."
"Well," you took a deep breath. "Maybe it could be a way of helping you find closure as well."

"Wait wait wait." Volo laughed. "Tell me again, you were in the Coastlands before you came here?"
You were finally explaining to Volo how you found him. You two had been chatting for hours getting reacquainted with one another.
You nodded. "Yeah, I had gone to the Coastlands in hopes to find one last sign that you'd be there, and then I realized I was being stupid. I wouldn't have gone had I known about this massive snowstorm. Anyway, I ended up trying to fall asleep, but I heard a boat at the landing, and it turned out to be you."
"So, you followed me the entire way?"
"Mhm!"
Volo was more than surprised to hear this. "That's a long way, y/n. You could have gotten yourself into serious trouble." He wagged his finger at you like he did before. It made you smile. "And with the state I was in, had I known you were following me, I wouldn't have helped."
"Well, let's be glad I didn't get hurt."
He chuckled. "Yeah."
You both smiled at one another.
"You know," Volo went on. "I have missed traveling with you."
"Really?"
"Yeah! I mean, yes, it was for a deceitful cause, but deep down, I really enjoyed spending my time with you and sharing information about the places we'd visit." He slipped his hand over yours. "I'd love to do that again."
_____
(12)
The night went on. The snow storm had passed, and you both were looking out the window at the 4 feet of snow that lie on the ground. You weren't going to be able to leave for a while, and you were so glad to have finally reestablished a friendship, knowing now it was genuine and mutual. Your eyes were once again growing heavy, and Volo started to take notice of how tired you were. He placed his hand on the small of your back and led you to his bed.
"Get some sleep." he said, kissing your forehead.
You looked at him with wide eyes.
"What?" he asked. "Am I not allowed to do that?"
You bit your lip. "No! I just… um… I—"
He smiled. "You don't have to say anything. I know."
"What do you mean?"
He sat down beside you. "I've heard a lot from Cogita about your visits with her, how you'd vent about needing to speak with me, but never giving any full detail on why. She's a wise one. She could tell by the tone of your voice your true feelings, sharing that information with me when I'd be visiting."
You started at Volo, awestruck by his words.
"To be quite honest, I liked what I was hearing. It made me feel absolutely terrible about my actions, considering your feelings towards me hadn't been phased. And, you following me here tonight just proves that."
You remained silent.
Volo pulled you into a side hug, your head against his chest. He was warm. You could hear his heartbeat picking up the pace. He kissed your forehead once more. "I have to admit that I hated you at first. But, the more I got to know you, the more I liked you. I was so possessed with greed and hatred for the world that I thought pushing you away would fight off those feelings. But, that never happened." His eyes started to water. "I hated that I left you the way I did, angry and confused. I'll never forgive myself for the way I treated you." His breath hitched. "I'm sorry!"
_____
(13)
Both of you were seeing sides of each other that you never knew existed. You felt that butterfly feeling in your abdomen, just as you did when you two were adventuring together to find the plates. You rubbed his back gently. "It's okay. We're both here now."
He continued to sob uncontrollably. You got up to get him some water and a tissue, which he thanked you for. You could tell he was trying to fight off his exhaustion, as were you, and you were both failing to do so. You both laid down on his bed, looking at one another; both of you, eyes bloodshot from crying.
"Let's get some rest." you whispered. "I'm more than happy to continue our conversation in the morning."
Volo sniffled. "Before we sleep…" He paused. "can I ask you a question?"
"Of course."
Volo took your hand into his, kissing it gently. "If I were to say that I denounce Arceus as my God, would you still reciprocate the affection I hold for you?"
"Volo…"
"Would you?"
You smiled warmly at him. "Of course I would. But, why would denouncing Arceus have to do with anything in relation to that?"
"Because I want to worship you now."
_____
(14)
There you were: next to Volo on New Years Day, holding his hand while he slept. The whole night was filled with him tossing and turning in his sleep, unless you were in his arms. Daylight had just struck, and you were awoken by the bright, glittering snow, it blinding you momentarily. When your eyes adjusted, you looked at Volo, focusing on his features and how much happier he looked, even from when you two first met. You recounted everything from the night before, then remembering that your tent was still set up in the Coastlands, probably now filled to the brim with ice.
There was a flash beside you, and an Abra appeared. You looked closer to see it was Cyllene's, and in its hands was a letter. You took it with a smile.
'Y/n, I'm glad to hear you're safe in the Coastlands. I'm assuming you're safe still, wherever you are, considering I haven't gotten any notes or messages from any of your Pokémon. I understand you've found Volo, and though I would not recommend following him, I know you're going to anyway. I hope this little adventure helps you to find closure, and I can't wait for you to return home to Jubilife.
Love,
Professor Laventon
(P.S.: I had to wait to send this because Cyllene wouldn't let me use her Abra until I got her her morning cup of coffee.)'
"Thank you, Abra." you whispered as quietly as you could, as to not wake the blonde sleeping beauty next to you. "Wait just a moment."
You gently rolled out of bed to find a sheet of paper, remembering your bag was by the door. You sat down at the table with paper and a pencil to write something back to Laventon, because you knew he was worried regardless.
'Hi Professor! Things are going well, but I may not be back for a while due to the snow. I'm not sure how much the village has, but we've got about 4 feet here, so I' won't be leaving this cottage for a while. I wanted to let you know that I'm still safe, and Volo has let me stay with him until the snow melts and it's safe to return. And as for closure… we've discussed a lot of things, and I would prefer to tell you in person. I hope you understand. Thank you for being here for me in my toughest of times, and I hope to see you really soon.
Love,
y/n'
(P.S.: If Cyllene sees this, we're all toast.)
You handed the letter to Abra. "Please take this to Professor Laventon. And thank Cyllene for trusting us with you."
And with that, Abra vanished.
You crawled back into bed, covering yourself with the white sheets to keep warm. The fire had burned out, and you were far too tired still to relight it. Volo rolled over, still sleeping, and wrapped his arms around you. He was so warm and inviting. You buried your face into his neck, taking in his scent. You smiled blissfully. This was everything you could have ever wanted, and you had it.
And with that, you promptly fell back to sleep.

MC loses against Volo, but they left the plates at Jubilife Village.
“You lost, now hand over the plates” Volo starts approaching you, his hands reaching out towards you. In turn you take a few steps back, but Volo was fast enough to grab onto your arm and pull you back. Your struggles against him were futile as he managed to undo your satchel.
He finally let go of you once he got a hold of your belongings, but as he opened it, there was nothing to be found that resembled the sacred plates. He looked at you, blank face, wide eyes.
There was a long silence between the two of you. “You... didn’t bring the plates...” he muttered. When you looked up at him you noticed how stiff he had become, fist clenched tightly into a ball, shaking with rage. You kept your distance, remembering what he’d said before, ‘I’m not above using force’ that sent shivers down your spine the first time you heard it. And now he actually might hurt you. You wanted to move, to run as far away as possible. But you couldn’t. All you could do was stand there. Frozen in place. Volo made his way towards you, fully expect him to kill you right then and there. But no, with the satchel in his hands, Volo handed it back to you. And with one last glance he walked away.
MC loses, but runs away XD
As soon as your last Pokémon fell, it was over, at least, Volo thought it was.
With a defeated look, you untied the satchel around your waist, Volo watched with anticipation, his hand reached out towards your satchel for the plates, as you opened it, and pulled out only a portion of the plates.
“You could’ve given me the bag, y’know.” Volo still held his smug attitude, though, hinted with a little bit of confusion.
He has only just realised what you were doing when you snatched the flute out and played it.
You hauled the satchel with the remaing plates into the air with as much strength you could muster. Then stashed the remaining plates into your kimono as you ran away.
Volo chased after you, Giratina went after the plates in your satchel, but before it could, the bag was snatched by Braviary and it flew away. You were just in Volo’s reach, as he was about to grab your arm, you tumbled down, accidentally dodging him.
Wyrdeer had arrived just in time, you mounted the Pokémon and disappeared into the tunnel.
Volo And Giratina watched as you fled in awe. “Are you seriously running away!?” He screamed, it was loud enough that you could hear, but you didn’t make the effort to respond.
You were smart enough to have a second plan if you did lose. Lmao.

SFW | Volo | Fic
How would a... reunion of sorts go down with Volo and Reader post-story. Like there was something there before the whole Twist happened at the Temple, but there was never the chance to explore what that something was.
I don't even know what to say. I am so tired that I legit have no idea the what the words I just wrote were. Queenie is gonna have to work some magic. This is also a big angsty, but has a happy ending.

SFW Volo: Research Reunions
It had taken far longer than you anticipated to locate Volo after the...incident. He knew the wilds better than anyone else, so he wasn't exactly easy to track down. Thankfully, you managed to find him in a run down cottage hidden in a grotto.
"Volo..." You called attention to yourself as you hopped off Wyrdeer. You could see the blond man's eyes widen for a moment before narrowing. You could see him reaching for one of the balls on his hip, waiting for you to throw the first shot at him. You just put your hands up, showing you meant no harm.
"What are you here for?" Volo said, deciding you weren't about to be a threat to him. He still didn't want to see you, but at least he knew you weren't there to attack him. Not that he didn't deserve it after trying to actually kill you.
"Is it so wrong for me to want to see you again?" You said, getting closer to him. You could now see him clearly. He had bags under his eyes and his clothes were a bit messed up. His hair was back in its normal style, but you noticed it was a bit longer with a few tangles. "You look like shit..."
"Thanks, I appreciate that." Volo said with some bite to his voice, "Now what do you really want?"
"I just...wanted to see you again is all...really. I've missed you, y'know." You said. Volo looked at you like you grew a second head. He had tried to kill you and restart the world. He had sung about how much he hated your very existence. Now you wanted to...see him? You missed him?
"Why?" His voice was a bit softer now.
"Because...before all this, it's not like we hated one another, right?" You asked, hoping that your entire relationship wasn't built on lies. Before all this went down, you two were close. You'd even considered asking him out at some point; once everything happened, he disappeared. It had taken literal months to track him down. It might be naïve of you, but you wanted to cling onto the hope that he didn't hate you this entire time. That there really was something there.
"I've hated you since the moment I learned about who you were." Volo said, but there was something behind his eyes. You could tell it was a lie, he was telling to himself more than you. You took a step closer, taking his cheek in one of your hands, cupping his face gently. He stiffened up under your touch as you looked at him with pleading eyes.
"Is that really what you think, Volo?" You asked, desperation lacing your voice. You swore you heard your own voice crack near the end. When did these tears start falling from your eyes?
"I...I do." Volo said, pushing you off him, "You ruined everything, you know." He spat at you. You felt a shiver run down your spine at the hatred in his voice.
"If that's what saving you is, then I guess I did ruin everything." You said, getting agitated with the man. "At least I won't lie about what I did. Ya, I fought you, then I fought god himself. And I ruined everything you had worked for. Is that what you wanted to hear?" You asked, placing a hand on your chest.
"This world is disgusting, you know." he said, stepping towards you again.
"It holds beauty despite all the ugly of it." You said without missing a beat.
"How can you say that? Do you not remember when you were exiled from the village, over something you had no control over? You forgive things too easy." He said, looking down at you with pity.
"It's better to forgive then to hold onto all that hatred." You said, "It looks tiring...you look exhausted Volo."
"I'm fine." He said, though his fight was slowly leaving him.
"Like hell you are...I don't care if you hate me, Volo. I still love you, just like I did before all this happened." You said, finally admitting to the bottled up feelings in your chest.
"Then you're an idiot." Volo said and you scoffed.
"Says you..." You murmured, "Did you really never feel anything for me? It was a lie this entire time?"
"I..." Volo said before groaning, "I think what I hate most about you is how much I love you. It's disgusting and unneeded; it's distracting. If i hadn't let my feelings get in the way, I would've succeeded."
You were left speechless at the sudden confession before you let out a sigh and small smile, "Well, at least you're being honest now..." You said, walking over to him and grabbing his hand, "Can we start over, Volo? Before this whole thing started?"
Volo didn't move away from your hand, but he did take a moment to stare at it, "We can't go back." He said, his eyes looking pained, "What's done is done. There's no pretending like this never happened. If I ever tried going to one of the villages, they'd attack me on sight."
"Then let's move forward...you know you always did tell me all about the regions you had visited. They wouldn't know anything that happened." You murmured, playing with his hand. It was warm and felt right.
"You want to leave Jubilife and run off with me?" Volo asked, his voice just letting you know how ridiculous he thought the idea was. "That's the worst plan you've ever come up with."
"Then how about I just stay here with you, on the outskirts of the town. I don't really care about what happens. I've done all I can for Jubilife...the pokedex is complete. I've already done what I've set out to do." You said before looking up at him, "You know...we could always discuss things inside over a cup of tea...I brought some stuff with me."
Volo sighed before giving in, "Fine...you win this time. Come on." He said, already heading to his home with his hand in yours. This wasn't some magical, fairytale kind of love you had always hoped for, but it was the start of something special. You just knew it.

I have a fever and feel terrible, do you have any headcanons of Volo being sweet to reader? 🥺
- Litwick anon
Your wish is my command!
Volo at his sweetest
Tumblr media
We all know that Volo's love for you and hatred for you are the same. Especially after the incident, he seemed to forego a lot of his nice performative mask for something a little more snarky and devilish. To him, you are an idiot, but you are an idiot he can't help but love. His words can be sharper than an Overquil's spine, but he could never hurt you in the way he wanted to in the past. Where am I going with this? Dear sweet reader I'm about to tell you the way he reacts when he sees those tears fall from your face. When he realized that he had gone a little too far. That's snarky smile disappears, betraying a horrified look on his face. His sultry voice turning into a soft one as he bends to your eye level to wipe your tears from your face with his thumbs, murmuring apologies and calling you the sweetest words.
However, if it weren't him that made you cry, that softness that he used as comfort, you would turn into pure white-hot rage. As he stares down his newest victim like they are the scum of the Earth. If it weren't for you holding his sleeve, he would have killed that man.
Is it weird that Volo wants to be the only one to see your tears? When you're crying he tries to stress you and wipe them away and when someone comes looking for you, he either hides you or shoos them away. Is it strange that Volo finds it sort of cute that you could be so vulnerable with him than you trust him so much even considering 'the incident.'
Maybe you're not feeling sad perhaps you're sick? Volo is exceptional at medicine he had to be when he would go backpacking in the wilderness for days weeks on end. As much as Volo claims how annoying you are and how much he hates you, he does tend to get overprotective in your most vulnerable moments if you so much as move from your bed while you're sick, you won't hear the end of it, as he urges you to lay back down. Even though he is a stickler for your well-being, he would still ask for a kiss. Even If you deny him he would just laugh and smirk. "as if I care a sickness can't stop me."
He does not want you to say a single word the next morning when he ends up being sick.
When Volo is laying with you he just cannot be part of you. He has to have his body lying as close to you as possible with one hand wrapped around you or maybe both. With his face buried in your shoulder. Perhaps he was just too tired to be his usual snarky bastard self as all he had energy for was holding your body close to him and gentle kisses on your shoulder and neck.
And if he catches you nodding off in the soft grass, he can't help but have his heart swell. His cheeks go pink when he carefully stalks closer to you, the storm gray eyes Shining as he brushes your hair out of your face to get a better look at you. Captivated by how cute you look sleeping there underneath the warm sun, he wished he had that weird Contraption with him so he could take your picture and keep it forever.

I sincerely hope I’m sending this request correctly. I wanna ask for a pokemon request where reader has a full Unown team with the Paldea crew reaction(Arven, nemona, penny) and maybe the blueberry academy crew reaction. I love unowns they’re my funky little letter guys. Basically the reader is an Unown enthusiast who only ever has unowns and only ever used Unowns. They have all the forms but the six they use are just the ones they took with them to Paldea. They went through Paldea and became champion with a full Unown team. Same with the bb league. I just think it’d be funny to see everyone’s reactions to that. Their partner mon would be Unown O and the other five you could pick cuz Unown O is my favorite letter. And also if u could write the unowns being affectionate with the reader and vice versa. I just like seeing trainers bonding with their pokemon. Thank you and I enjoy your writing!
(Side note: Honestly if ScarVio was able to have unowns in it you’d bet your ass I’d do a full Unown run. I’ve done it for other games. Was disappointed and sad I couldn’t have any unowns in them, sword/shield too.)
I LOVE the Unowns omg. I got a plushie of V and I'm still trying to get shinies and alphas in PLA
My favorite is F because it looks like a little stick figure but I adore all of them very much <3
Tumblr media
.......
General
Ever since discovering the Unown in Johto (Ruins of Alpha) and the two additional forms in Kanto (Tanoby Chambers), you found your calling as a trainer.
An Unown trainer, to be precise.
Unown O was the first one you caught, and has been your battle partner ever since!
You've become something of an enthusiast, asking researchers what they've discovered and documenting the Symbol Pokemon as you collected them.
You've caught so many that you actually encountered a shiny or two--each capture being a success.
Their existence, connection to Arceus, home dimension, and "secret power" when more than one are gathered were all fascinating to you and made you wanna learn more.
You even incorporated some of their designs into your outfit: like gloves and socks that had symbols printed on them, keychains and charms on your jewelry and/or backpack..etc.
All 28 Unown grew to love you, and the ones in your party are super affectionate when you bring them out.
Their favorite game is hide n' seek (taking after their "ancestors" from PLA) around your home, and you like to play along.
Ofc people are wary around Unown given their mysterious nature, but you vow to break that stigma by feeding them treats and letting them nuzzle up to you, showing others that they're just like any other Pokémon: companions who deserved as much love and affection as a Pikachu.
After parting ways with your friends in Kanto and Johto, you don't leave without gifting them an Unown that was the first letter in their name (for Blue you left him a Shiny Unown B...which he still brags about to this day).
You decided to move to Paldea to take your Pokémon training more seriously, attending school and showing off your Unown since they're not native to the region.
Your team consisted of O, as well as N, E, F, R, and M--referring to what all 28 are collectively called (One Form).
Despite knowing they can only use Hidden Power and nothing else (plus the drawbacks from having a psychic-only team), you defied all the odds when you took on not one but TWO championships and won.
And of course, the friends you've made during your journey all got to know the Unown personally.
Paldea
Arven
At first, he thought your Unown team had more to it...until he realized that was ALL you brought to the battlefield.
Just funky letters that only knew one move.
"Oh come on, you're never gonna win with a team like that-"
And then you go and beat him with a team like that, and it shuts him up.
But Arven just rolls his eyes to the sky, making the excuse that he's not used to battling, and moves on.
As you get closer to him, though, and help him take down the Titan Pokémon around Paldea, he warms up to your team and admits they're kinda cool.
He'll only shoo them away if he's making a sandwich, not wanting to be crowded (but tbh he can tolerate Unown O's presence more than your 'raidon's).
You presented him with picks inspired by the designs of some Unown (I, K, T, Y, and !) to hold the ingredients together, and he's thoroughly impressed by your dedication to the craft.
You joked about selling them if you ever went into the art of culinary--yet Arven tells you to seriously consider it.
After the fight with the AI Professor in Area Zero, he sees your entire team pop out of their pokeballs, clearly stressed from being locked inside due to the Paradise Protection Protocol.
You never did a battle without them and were afraid they couldn't protect you, but you reassured them you were okay, letting them stay out during the journey home.
Only then does he realize that sure, they're weird little guys that don't seem all-that powerful, but you treasure them all the same.
Nemona
While she was confused about you not using the Paldea starter the Director offered you..she's HYPED when your real team comes out to play during your first match together: One made entirely of Unown, a Pokémon not even native to Paldea.
She may have read about them in some textbook unrelated to battling and glossed over them.
But to see them in battle left her extremely impressed and asking you dozens of questions afterwards.
They could just change their type when attacking??? She read about Arceus supposedly having that power, but it's awesome that these little letters/symbols can, too!
Despite thinking you'll bore her by having no strategy except "use hidden power", Nemona NEVER wants you to feel discouraged!
She wants to battle your team every time.
As you fight your way through the Pokémon League and all the way up to the Elite Four, she's rooting for you 100%, praising your Unown for overcoming even the toughest terastalized foes.
Knowing your party members, they LOVE praise and are very friendly towards her and her own Pokémon.
If any of them have timid/lonely natures..her words give them a big confidence boost.
And it reflects in their reaction times and how often they'll heal their own status conditions or tank OH-KO hits.
She says you're helping them get stronger every day, but you give her lots of credit, too, for helping you get this far.
Penny
While dealing with Team Star, Giacomo's dark team put your Unown through a world of hurt...
Penny had been watching the battle, worried that he was going to be the reason you failed to squander the organization.
Yet by some miracle, your team came out on top!
Only then does she realize you were more than capable of taking down all the bases.
Unown P comes out to greet her while you've doing an LP exchange, and it scared her pretty badly.
Especially as it just...stares. Occasionally blinking once or twice as she tries talking to you.
Conversations are hard enough for her already, and staring doesn't help matters, so she gets ready to leave-
But then its tune changes when you pat it on the head(?) and it trills happily, snuggling up to you.
Penny had to do a double-take, wondering how it managed to look so cute..but she dismisses your concerns when you asked why she made that face.
Later, after revealing she's the leader and becoming your friend thereafter...she still gets anxious around the Unown from time-to-time, but eventually warms up to their presence.
You don't treat them any differently despite their mysterious nature.
If anything, you care for them just like anyone would a cute Eevee: by spoiling them with love, treats, and sweet words of encouragement.
Penny felt like a hypocrite for being scared of them, considering people used to be scared of Team Star--yet they aren't as evil as everyone made them out to be.
They used to be lonely and misunderstood, just like the Unown were before you found them.
BB Academy
Kieran
When you showed off your team for the first time, Kieran was stunned.. remembering the things he read about them but didn't know they could actually be caught.
All he says when you show him Unown K is "wowzers".
And the journal entries you've logged turned his eyes into stars.
You show him all the photographs of ruins and Unown blending in during your trips to the signboards, rambling about what you've seen and discovered.
He loves listening to your tales..and wishes he could see those places with you.
But what he didn't like, however, was whenever you two had a battle in which your Unown only needed one command to win. You didn't have to try at all.
Even with his team's most supereffective attacks..speed and dumb luck were on your side, crushing his confidence and making him jealous.
It doesn't help when you still decided to keep Ogerpon despite you saying you only ever used Unown.
It wasn't fair.
And ofc by Indigo Disk, Kieran wants nothing more than to destroy your team, insulting them under his breath when he thinks you can't hear him.
You just scowl and cover their nonexistent-ears while they nuzzle up to you--although deep down, you knew he didn't mean those words.
He's just pissed off that he lost sleep and his appetite over training his team, giving them the best moves and items to utilize on the battlefield..only for you to sweep the BB League with a simple command.
He managed to OH-KO one Unown with Incineroar's Darkest Lariat..and that sinister grin you saw on his face was most unnerving.
But you still claimed victory over him and he takes the loss hard.
Down in Area Zero, he's convinced that the "Hidden Treasure" Terapagos can take down your "Hidden Power" team..
But after seeing them form a shield (similar to the crystal one in the Spell of Unown movie) that protects him when the legendary goes rogue..it changed his perspective.
Only then he understood why they were so powerful.
As the Unovian Pokedex said: Alone, nothing happens..but together, Unown are strong and invoke a great power.
When the dust settles, O floats into Kieran's hands, healing the pain in his wrist caused by Terapagos breaking the masterball.
He felt so so guilty for the name-calling and his desires to hurt them. Yet they've all forgiven him.
In a way, Unown remind you of him: small and unassuming, at first glance..but full of great power that's waiting to shine.
During Mochi Mayhem, K stays by his side while he holds off the possessed townspeople and you capture Pecharunt, growing quite attached to him.
And after coming back to the academy, you decide to trade him that Unown, hoping he incorporates it into one of his teams. Be it casual or competitive.
Carmine
Back in Kitakami, she laughed at your "puny"-looking letter Pokémon, thinking them to be weak as she sics Poochyena and Polteageist on them.
While their dark/ghost moves hit the Unown hard, it's Unown O who takes them down with critical hits..and Carmine got LIVID.
She impressed you're sticking with a team that appeared in ancient texts, although that doesn't dissuade her from teasing you about them for a while.
Ngl you nerding out over Unown facts and studies you've recorded reminds her of Kieran infodumping about Ogerpon.
Your Unown just glare at her, and you gotta call them back to your side before they try attacking her outside a battle.
However as time goes on and she warms up to you, meets Ogerpon, etc..she grows to like them more, too.
Eventually she's cheering them on as they take down the Loyal Three and tank their poison attacks.
By Indigo Disk's events, she comes around to genuinely smile at their presence.
Although she had concerns Kieran's new team would be too overwhelming for them...
Yet your team of hieroglyphics won anyways.
And down in Area Zero's underdepths, they invoked a great power to shield the siblings from Terapagos' attacks, protecting the two people who once hated and mocked them with all they had.
As they both break down in tears, some Unown come out of their pokeballs to comfort them, and O stays on your shoulder as you exit the cavern together.
A few photobomb the selfie you take with the twins back at the academy (as well as Kitakami's festival), but it's alright.
Carmine will allow it because you treasured them and they DID save her and her brother's skin.
Drayton
While you did struggle during his trial (due to his "Terarium Pokemon-only" rule), the actual battle caught him by surprise when your Unown swept the floor, taking down his dragons.
How Unown F was able to withstand an Electro Shot was beyond him, but it was sturdy enough to finish the fight with a Fairy-based Hidden Power.
After winning, you both take a selfie in commemoration, with you passing F to Drayton like "can we get an F in the chat" and him humbly accepting it.
It was all in good fun, and looking back on it in your scrapbook made you laugh.
But what you didn't feel good about was him rubbing your victory in Kieran's face after you win the championship, further shattering the kid who nearly keeled over trying to make the perfect team to beat you..only for some "letters" to kick him down into the dirt.
"Wow, that's tough..now are you gonna take the F or L, ex-champ?"
He forgot this kid doesn't understand much internet lingo, but Unown F and Unown L didn't appreciate his jokes, and neither did you.
But after the events in Area Zero, you let it go, eventually deciding to trade him Unown D as your way of thanking him for helping you get close enough to knock sense back into Kieran.
Crispin
Let's face it, he's gonna be staring at your Unown like a Magikarp out of water and ask how they eat..
Or if they eat at all for that matter.
Their eyes just blink and poof, their share of the meal is already gone.
He knows they're psychic Pokémon, but still...
His favorite ones are definitely C (bc of his name) and S (for Spicy), though he's eager to see how your team fairs in battle when you clear his trial.
You warn him it might be "boring" but he acts like you insulted his cooking and begs you not to say that again.
"Every Pokémon battle gets me fired up!!!!! Don't downplay yourself!!!"
Even when your Unown easily douse his Pokémon's flames with Water-based Hidden Power (and Fire for his Exeggcutor), he still had a blast battling you, realizing those little letters are full of vigor and surprises!
He's eager to see what supereffective type they're gonna use next.
When you eventually decide to trade, you contemplate giving him an extra Unown F you had..or a C.
But you settle for the latter, and Crispin promises to feed the little guy well!
Lacey
Unown are small, simple, and make trilling noises...all checking off her criteria of "cute" Pokémon!
Although knowing they're connected to Arceus--the literal god of all 'mons--is an unnerving fact, she agrees that they're adorable and deserve to be treated as such.
She gets to learn your team's different natures, and likes how you're trying to convince people that they're not as scary as the old legends present them.
They love nuzzling up to you, resting on your shoulder and/or head, twirling around, and playing with the local Minior.
That being said..Lacey gets shocked at the punch they pack during battle, with them using Poison or Steel-based Hidden Power to take down her fairies.
It's always the most unsuspecting Pokémon who are the most powerful.
Even if you worry about the battle being boring since all you can give out is one command, she's gonna turn your pessimistic thinking around!
Unown F is her favorite since it's looks like a stick figure, but Unown L is also pretty neat..yet she wonders why Unown ? and Unown ! look tired all the time...
When you trade her a letter/symbol, she's thrilled to welcome yet another cute Pokémon onto her team!
Amarys
Considering their affiliations with ruins and Arceus, the existence of Unown have always piqued her interest.
And you so-happened to be a walking encyclopedia of anything related to the Symbol Pokémon, given the journals you've written on their mannerisms.
Amarys likes reading them over, and thinks a quiz involving the Unown Alphabet would be good to have at BB Academy.
On the other hand, after your battle to climb the League rankings, she wonders if you've ever used other Pokémon..only to find out that you never did.
All you know are Unowns.
She won't force you to change your team members, seeing as they were able to beat ALL of the league members--including Kieran.
But she suggests you had one Unown use Hidden Power on its battle partner, who could hold onto a Weakness Policy.
Yet you're adamant, saying "why would I want one Unown to hurt the other just for a temporary attack boost? :((("
Your team members are besties, your cuddle buddies..how could you do that to them???
Amarys is genuinely touched by how much you care for your Unowns, and vice versa.
Speaking of which, Unown A started hanging around her more often..and she cautiously tries to pet it, surprised by its happy trills, but otherwise acts nonchalant.
When you both decide to trade, you give her that Unown and she promises to look after it.

Would you ever write Professor Laventon headcannons where he's more of a father figure than friend to the Reader >- >?
it's been a minute since i've played PLA, and my first time writing Laventon, so I hope this suffices.
Fatherly! Laventon and Reader headcanons
Tumblr media
Ever since you fell from the rift in the sky with nothing but the clothes on your back and your knowledge of pokemon, Laventon has worried for you.
There's no doubt you're vulnerable in this new situation, and it doesn't take long for Laventon to become attached to you.
He knows you're capable; that much is crystal clear. Your talent for pokemon handling is nothing like anything he's seen before!
But pokemon can be dangerous, and sending you out into the field by yourself, while useful, always leaves him with nervousness coiling in his gut.
He's always so relieved when you return, and will always fret over you, no matter what state you return in.
Try to exercise caution, though. If you come back hurt, he'll probably have a heart attack.
He likes to sit with you at the Wallflower over some potato mochi, talking about your discoveries that day and how it went.
Speaking of the Wallflower, he often treats you there. He wants to make sure you're eating well, and will often send you out with some extra food tucked into your satchel.
He's always delighted to see you come back with a new discovery or pokemon, particularly when that starter of yours grows up.
If you have downtime, he'll invite you to come and sit with him in his office. Not to work or anything, but to just quietly enjoy each other's company. He'll probably still end up working, though.
A few times he's gotten so absorbed into his work, and when he finally snaps out of it to check on you, he only finds your sleeping form slumped against the desk with your pokemon around you.
He's not quite able to move you, but he'll settle his jacket on you like a blanket, trying to be quiet and not disturb you.
Having come from Galar he's used to somewhat colder weather at times, so if it's particularly chilly he'll lend you his hat, chiding you about your safety and health.
He tries his best to care for you. It may come off as clumsy at times, but there's no doubt he cares for you and has come to see you as his own.
A very proud father.

ONLY IF YOU ARE COOL WRITING THIS. IF NOT JUST DELETE BUT LIKE DARK FIC STUFF???? Hear me out, Volo, right? Psychopath right? Yandere????👀👀👀Cuz like...what if instead of a battle he uses Giratina to somehow brain wash Y/N into being his worshipper but then he gets too caught up in that gorilla grip to care about destroying the world and it works out because he'd become obsessed with Y/N
Ok but like what if shes into it too👀
She felt as though she were a stranger looking through her eyes as she choked on his cock. It wasnt a matter of hating this. In fact, before the battle began she would have happily been in this position.
"Look at you. Some chosen hero. You...fuck...look wonderful swallowing me down. I always knew you would. I cant wait to fuck you even more senseless than you already are." His head rolled back as he gripped her hair, forcing her to deep throat him before pulling back. "Present yourself for me."
Volo watched with pride as she stripped down and bent over a wrecked pillar, practically displaying her soaked cunt for him.
She was practically crying out inside, begging for him to stop teasing and to just fuck her already. Instead he rubbed the fat head of his cock along her folds, relishing in how she twitched and rocked back.
"Be honest. How much do you hate me?"
"I dont," she whined. "I need it. I need to serve your cock. I wamt to worship you, please."
