Kim Jong-un’s vile ‘Pleasure Squad’ where virgin schoolgirls are selected to ‘entertain’ North Korean rulers

Within the walls of his ultra-protected palaces that his Pleasure Squad provide entertainment for high-ranking North Korean officials. The 2,000-strong harem is said to be made to sing and dance for the nation's elite — but also take part in bizarre sexual games and orgies. It's made even more disturbing by the fact that some members of the Pleasure Squad are said to have been as young as 13, taken directly out of school into sex work. Defectors from North Korea even say the girls have to undergo invasive medical examinations to prove they're virgins before they can join.

Here's the disturbing story of how the Pleasure Squad was founded — and was brought back on the orders of Kim Jong-un.

The Pleasure Squad or Kippumjo began during the reign of North Korea's founder, Kim Il-sung, who is still considered the country's Eternal President, despite dying in 1994. In the late 1970s, at the height of his power, he sent out his officials to scour the nation for its most attractive young women and girls to act as singers and dancers. Some of them also began working as maids, but the most sexually attractive were ordered to become "comfort women" for powerful officials. Many were aged around 13 and 14, and were sometimes even recommended for the sick service by their schools. Kim Il-sung targeted virgins specifically because he believed having sex with them allowed him to absorb a girl's "ki" or life-force.

Authorities would tell the girls' parents their daughters were being taken on an important mission to serve Kim Il-sung, and they had no say in the matter. The girls would then be kept in party leaders' mansions and were expected to do whatever they were told. Officers in the North Korean military often took the women as wives after they were "retired" from their sexual duties in their 20s.

Once they're taken into the Pleasure Squad, girls are then sorted into different units. Some are expected to sing and dance, while others primarily give massages and are sometimes even sent overseas for their training. But a third strand of the Pleasure Squad, the Manjokjo, are explicitly tasked with providing sexual services.

After Kim Il-sung's death, his son, Kim Jong-il, maintained the Pleasure Squad and had a string of mistresses to boot. And other members of the Kim dynasty were said to exploit the girls too.

Kenji Fujimoto, a sushi chef who worked for the Kims between 1989 and 2001, claimed that Kim Jong-il's brother, Jang Song Thaek, would "audition" girls for the dictator during his reign.

Only a few details of the Pleasure Squad's activities has been made known to anyone outside North Korea's cloistered communist regime. In 2010, a woman known as Mi Hyang defected to South Korea, claiming to have been in Kim Il-sung's Pleasure Squad for two years. She said she was recruited aged 15 while in school.

"They inspected all the female students and put aside some of them, including me, and made a detailed record of my family history and school record," she wrote on a blog. "I was asked whether I ever slept with a boy. I felt so ashamed to hear such a question."

Lee Il-nam, Kim Il-sung's nephew, mentioned the Pleasure Squad in a memoir he published while living in exile before being murdered in 1997. Lee painted a picture of wild parties at Kim's resident in Pyongyang which would last until the early hours of the morning focusing on booze and sex.

“The routine at the parties included eating, drinking and dancing, but usually ended with erotic games,” Lee wrote. “A favourite was a game in which the losers had to take off clothes one by one. It was enforced, regardless of men or women. "If they got heavily drunk, the also played a hair-shaving game. If men lost, part of their head hair was shaved, as if it was mown. For women, their pubic hair was shaved.” He added that some parties were solely devoted to sex when Kim was in a "particularly good mood".

The Pleasure Squad that was started in the 1970s disbanded when Kim Jong-il died in 2011 and his son Kim Jong-un came to power.

That's thought to be because Kim Jong-un was said to trust no one in his father's administration — including the women and girls of the Pleasure Squad.

"The women who entertained his father knew many secrets and they have now been ordered to promise not to reveal any information before being sent back to their hometowns", said Professor Toshimitsu Shigemura, a North Korea expert at Tokyo's Waseda University, The Telegraph reports.

Each of the women was thought to have been given pay-offs of around $4,000, which is a staggeringly large amount of cash in poverty-riddled North Korea.

They were also given electrical appliances to buy their discretion.

For four years, the Pleasure Squad was completely discontinued.

But then in 2015, reports emerged in South Korea that Kim Jong-un was on the hunt to recruit new girls and women for a Pleasure Squad entirely of his own.

Yami and Charlotte slowly walked through the town of Kikka. Tomorrow they each had a mission that would be taking them away from the Capital, so they decided today they would go out on a date and just have alone time away from ‘the kids’ aka their squads.

Yami held her hand gently as they walked through the crowds of people. It was firm enough so Charlotte would accidently get lost, but it was gentle enough that it didn’t hurt her hand.

“ Do you want to go eat at that fancy restaurant that everyone’s talking about?” He asked before pulling something out of his pants pocket. “ I have a coupon for it, you’d get your meal for free!” He added proudly as he flashed the coupon in front of her. Charlotte snorted.

“ Of course you have a coupon for it.” She said with a chuckle and a shake of her head.

“ What? There’s no reason for food to be so overpriced when it’s a literal necessity in order to live.” He grumbled as he put the coupon back in his pocket, the blonde haired woman nodded in agreement.

“ I know, and you’re right. So let’s go somewhere else where the prices are more…reasonable.” She suggested, she watched as Yami sighed and nodded in agreement.

Charlotte knew he just wanted to take her somewhere nice like she deserved, but what he didn’t realize was that she didn’t care where they ate, as long as they were together it was fine with her.

Suddenly the dark haired man froze, causing her to frown. She looked up at him and saw a serious, yet confused, look on his face.

“ Yami? What’s wrong?”

“ Nothing, it’s just, I thought I recognized a couple of people’s Ki. But there’s no way it could be them.” Yami said with a shake of his head, and Charlotte frowned.

“ Who’s Ki?”

Before he could answer Charlotte heard a gasp come from in front of them, and she watched Yami’s eyes widen in surprise. The blonde haired woman turned to look and a gasp of surprise also left her lips.

Standing in front of them was Nozel Silva and Vanessa Enoteca, and they were holding hands!

“ U-Um…” The pink haired witch started as she tried to quickly come up with something to say.

“ I thought you were staying at the Hideout?” Yami asked curiously, Vanessa’s purple eyes widened.

“ I was! But then I decided it was too loud in there so I came out instead!” She told him with a laugh, but Yami’s eyes narrowed and his attention turned to Nozel.

“ Then what are you doing here with Braid Boy?”

“ Oh…that? Well we just-!” Vanessa started as she scrambled to find an excuse.

Charlotte could already see what was going on, it was obvious the two were also out on a date. Although she was surprised since she hadn’t even known that the two were aware of each other’s existence. But seeing them holding hands and seeming to have been enjoying each others company, before they ran into Yami and Charlotte, showed Charlotte that the two really seemed to like each other.

“ We’re out on a date.” Nozel told them seriously, causing Vanessa to turn and look at him in surprise. Charlotte also looked at him in surprise, everyone knew Nozel was blunt, but for him to be that honest in front of Yami when everyone knew he was protective of his squad members? It was shocking.

“ Do you have a problem with that?” Nozel asked, and Yami just looked at him. Neither Vanessa nor Charlotte recognized the look, it appeared to be something akin to annoyance.

“ And if I did? Then what Braid Boy?” Yami asked with a slightly raised brow.

“ Then I would say that sounds like a personal problem that you need to work out on your own.” Nozel replied coolly as he looked at the man standing across from him.

It was like a cold tension was hanging in the air. Yami scoffed and rolled his eyes.

“ Like I’d take advice about working on ‘personal issues’ from you.” He responded casually, causing both Charlotte and Vanessa to look at each other for a moment, both trying to decide if they should step in or just let things play out.

The men then just looked at each other, neither one wanting to bend or break.

“ C-Captain Yami I-.” Vanessa started but Yami cut her off.

“ Do you trust him?” He asked, and Vanessa nodded.

“ I do.”

“ Do you like him?” He asked, and he watched as Vanessa's eyes darted around for a moment, as though she were a bit unsure as well, before she nodded again firmly.

“ I do.”

Yami nodded, took Charlotte’s hand once again, and walked past the other couple.

The two walked quietly for a while. Charlotte was unsure of what to say or ask, and she knew Yami could sense her unease with his Ki even if she tried to hide it.

“ I’m fine.” He told her softly, he looked at the blonde haired woman with a smile and he squeezed her hand gently.

“ You’re not worried that she’ll get hurt?” Charlotte asked curiously, and Yami shrugged.

“ I am worried about that. She’s a good friend and squadmate, and I only want the best for her and I want her to be happy.” Yami started. “ But she’s also a grown woman who can make her own choices, and if being with Nozel gives her all of those things, then I’ll give them my full support. Even if I don’t like Braid boy very much.” Yami added with a chuckle, and Charlotte chuckled as well.

The two then continued down the street, enjoying their date, while Yami laughed about how he was going to tease Nozel about it when he got back from his mission, while Charlotte tried her best to deter him from doing that.

And A Drabble (Though it's much longer than a drabble and based of an old idea of mine that I never did anything with)

“So you're… me?” Asta asked, wary of the stranger in front of him who had not just the same Ki, but the same swords, same hair, same colored eyes, and if that brief glimpse during their clash was to be believed, the same Anti-Magic Arm.

Though that is where the similarities ended, especially in the department of Attire and physique.

The man in front of Asta was almost a head taller than him with a slightly thinner build, despite that, Asta got the feeling this guy was stronger than him five times over in physical strength, and as opposed to the white suit and long red coat he always imagined his future self wearing in his dreams the man before him and his squad seemed more like a mixture of the people Asta admired most among those he wished to succeed.

The Chief Of Elves Licht, The 27th Wizard King, Conrad Leto, and The 28th Wizard King, Julius Novachrono.

He wore a black and red jacket similar in design to the one Conrad once wore that was held closed in the center by a silver five leaf clover, under the jacket was a battleworn silver breastplate and a shirt similar to the one Licht wore when he was brought back though without the blue undershirt underneath, around his waist was the same belt Asta wore at this very moment, though resized and with several more pouches on its outside, presumably for carrying whatever curiosities the man found, he wore a pair of black pants, and black boots where those pants were stuffed into, following what few rules that all squads must follow for uniform, finally, Over this all, was a simple black cape draped over his right arm and held in place by three silver chains that connected to the steel pauldron on his shoulder which went under his left arm and wrapped around his back where it connected to the pauldron once more.

“In a way yes, but also no. It would be more accurate to say I am a possibility of what your future self is. I am The King, and if you want Clover to see the dawn, you will be helping me.” The King stated without hesitation.

“And what if we don’t feel like lettin’ the brat run off with some crazy person who calls himself the “Possibility Of A Future”?” Captain Yami asked gruffly.

“I was asking out of courtesy, whether he wishes to or not this young man is coming with me. Though you are more than welcome to try and stop me Captain Sukehiro.” The King said with a taunting tone of almost absolute power in his voice as he stabbed the massive black greatsword in his hand into the ground.

In an instant Yami was upon the interloper, katana drawn and body low to the ground in a stance not too dissimilar to that of a runner’s as he swung the blade upward at the man.

However by the time the foreign blade was where The Man stood all that was there was air.

From behind Yami the man spoke.

“I had hoped to avoid fighting you Captain, but in a way, I am quite glad I am. To have the opportunity to fight you at the prime of your power and while you are fighting to protect your family, it's not an opportunity I have ever been so unfortunate to be faced with, until now that is.”

“Well then, ain’t this a lucky day for ya… kid.” Yami told the man, keeping his voice quiet enough to avoid telling the entire squad but loud enough for The King to hear him.

“Heh, Indeed it is!” The King muttered with a laugh as black and red flames ignited along the length of his left arm, the battle between the two only just beginning.

summary: Caulifla and Gine join Bardock’s crew, the two being inseparable and best friends. A year into their recruitment, they both realize they love Bardock. On their day off they enjoy it lounging off in the open fields, catching a certain saiyan’s attention.

Gine and Caulifla are inseparable. From the moment these two were born on planet Vegeta, their ki collided amongst each other as they were drawn to each other almost immediately. As the two grew up, they decided to live in a house together. Gine would take care of the house and cook while Caulifla would go on missions and make sure she was strong enough to protect herself and Gine.

Lucky for the both of them they were enlisted in team Bardock, though Gine was a bit hesitant to be in such a team. Caulifla still kept her strong vow of protecting Gine.

Today was their day off while the rest of team Bardock was off doing their own missions. Caulifla and Gine didn't mind, as long as they had each other to keep company.

The enchanted forest is one of the saiyans' favorite spots to go to for relaxation. Caulifla found it while adventuring around once, and then the very next day she brought Gine along with her. Since then, they always came here to get away from their troubles or to ease some stress.

"I can't believe it's almost been a year since we joined team Bardock!" Gine declares happily, her tail wagging as it thumps on the grass.

Caulifla rests back on the ground with her hands behind her head. She allows the tree's cherry blossoms to provide shade. "Yeah, who would've thought we'd be the two lucky girls to be on that squad? Pretty cool huh?" She says with a smirk but keeps an eye on Gine.

Gine grasps a fistful of the grass before swallowing her embarrassment. A flow of scarlet takes her cheeks as she then says, "Uhhh, listen . . . Caulifla . . . I believe I've grown feelings for someone on the Bardock squad." Gine could practically feel her heart hammering in her chest.

"Really?" Caulifla opens both eyes as she turns her head to look at Gine. "I . . . Have fallen for someone too." She admits quickly.

Gine smiles wide, glad that someone had taken the heart of her best friend. After all, she deserves to be happy. If Gine had to assume who Caulifla had fallen for, it had to be Tora. Tora goofed a lot with her and would tag team with her if she wasn't with Bardock. Caulifla talked to him more than she did with Fasha, and they had lunch a couple times.

Caulifla couldn't believe that Gine finally found someone she had fallen for. Once upon a time, did Caulifla consider her more than a friend, but figured that maybe Gine was only attracted to the opposite gender. Then again, she was starting to get really close to Fasha and wouldn't be surprised if she already had a sexual thing going on with Fasha.

"That's amazing! How about on the count of three, we reveal who we like?" Gine says, keeping that big smile.

"Yeah, sure thing!"

"One . . ."

"Two . . ."

"Three!"

"Bardock!" They both say in unison and then gasp in horror. The saiyans were too stunned to speak and chose to be silent for a few moments.

" . . . N-No way . . . You like Bardock too?!" Caulifla says, sitting up slowly as she stares at Gine long and hard.

Gine felt ashamed that she had fallen for a man that Caulifla loved as well. " . . . I can stop liking him so you can be his mate." Gine sheepishly says while her heart sank to her stomach. She'll get over Bardock overtime, but she would never be happy being with Bardock while Caulifla was secretly hurting. She winces as she feels Caulifla's hands grip her shoulders.

"Gine, what the hell! I'd rather you be happy with Bardock! Forget about me, I'd rather value your friendship than my own happiness!" Caulifla says as the two look at each other, unable to read the mixture of emotions that laid in each other's eyes.

"B-But, Caulifla . . . I love you too and would rather keep this relationship we have now instead of sacrificing it for some dumb temporary feelings we have for our captain!" Deepscan/The "Slayer Army"

Why, When, and What: The first group of Slayers gathered by Buffy Summers formed a group to continue protecting the world from supernatural evils. Buffy is good at a lot of things, though, but running such a large organization was a bit beyond her scope and she stepped down as leader. From there it, was eventually, re-organized into the Private Military Company "Deepscan." From there, they would continue to monitor for threats, as well as offer to be hired out to aid in putting down supernatural threats among other work.

And because they were a cadre of largely good-looking young women bodyguards, they alternated between saving the world and humoring the egos of insecure rich men.

The vast majority of the company members are Slayers, but it is not a pre-requisite (there are books to go over, some of which bite).

The main base of the “Slayer Army”/Deepscan has 10 witches in employ and usually has about 100 slayers in 15 squads of 5 to 7 members at any one time.

These Stats represent Buffy Summers at the Start of Season 8. As time goes on, she becomes even more potent. While the events of Season 8 and beyond are subject to interpretation within the Crossover Universe, the rough of it sees her, by the end of Season 8/start of Season 9 having Strength and Constitution 10. By the end of Season 9, Her Dexterity is up to 11 at this point, as is her Strength. By season 10, the Slayers join the Unseelie Accords properly, if only to increase allies. They manage to argue successfully that they have a right to hunt vampires as they do humans. She gains 5 levels of Supernatural Contacts and Dexterity 12. Season 11 sees her strength hit 11, as well as cementing her status as official arbiter of all Slayer matters.

Satsu is one of the key players in the new Slayer organization, as Buffy’s right-hand woman (and girlfriend), she is privy to all sorts of things. She eventually begins to train in the use of Ki as the seasons progress, as well as becoming the head of the Japanese branch of the Slayer Organization. She also slowly increases her stats to Strength and Con 9, and Dexterity 10. She is a Beginner/Disciple by Mid-Season 8, and a Soldier in Season 9 and 10.

Her go-go Ki moves are Acrobatic Multi-Tasking, Breather, Spinning Strike, Wall Walk, and Massive Blow.

In 2005 she joined the Beyond Corporation with several other supernatural beings, only to find out that they were a terrorist cell about to test unusually weapons of mass destruction across the United States...

As time wore on, she grew more potent as a Slayer, possibly because of the Bloodstone Gem, rivaling Satsu and Faith in terms of overall power (IE: eventually she has Strength 10, Dexterity 10, and Constitution 10).

Zuzha Yu a.k.a. This is a tad bit late lol. I fell asleep finishing it up last night. I hope you guys are enjoying these!!

Day 15 Christmas Carols

Christmas was Jakes favorite holiday. From all the sweet goods that gets baked, to the decorations, down to being surrounded with his family. Everything was perfect for him. This would be the first year that he would have a white Christmas though.

He was stationed in Maryland, so he was excited to have snow everywhere, and just to see the neighborhood kids playing, it made him wish he was young again. Growing up in Texas, snow was few and far in between, so he was use to have a summer Christmas.

Jake was walking around downtown with a fresh coffee in hand. The city already had the decorations up, the tree in the middle of down town, families where everywhere making the most of the cold weather.

Jake decided to take a break from walking around and opted for a bench that looked over the main area of down town. He took out his phone and snapped some quick pictures to send to his mom and sisters, as well as the dagger squad group chat.

“Babe? I've been looking all over for you. I told you I was coming back.”

A young woman took the seat next to him, fairly close as she wrapped her arm around his, he was about the protest until he looked behind her and saw she was being closely followed by two men. The protector in him kicked in as he took the arm, she had a grip on, and wrapped it around her shoulders bringing her closer to him.

“Yeah, I know, but I needed to sit.”

The guys didn’t move for a moment. The woman’s face held fear in her eyes as she looked up at him and smiled. Jake took this time to sale the act they were putting on, and leaned in, closing the gap they had, allowing for his lips to touch hers.

The kiss was short but sweet, making sure the men who followed her know that she was protected.

The young woman pulled back first, her face still holding the beaming smile. The men finally took the hint and sped walk past the bench the two were taking up. The woman watched as they walked past her and let out a shaky breath, and right behind it her eye started to water up a bit. Jake instantly bought her closer to his chest for a hug, he could tell that she was scared, and she went to the first person she laid her eyes on.

“Hey, hey, hey, it's okay. They’re gone. I’ve got you.”

Jakes grip on the woman tighter as if she would be pulled from his arms in any second.

“ I’m sorry I did that to you-“

“No, you don’t apologize for anything. You did what you needed. I should be apologizing. I kissed you.”

The young woman chuckled while wiping her tears away and letting some space come between them. She stuck out her hand to him in hopes of a proper greeting.

“Nice to meet you, Destiny.”

“ Jake.”

He shook her hand as he glanced over her, she was bundled up but still in a cute way with her trench puffer coat and tan boots to match. Jake thought the woman was beyond any words he could come up with.

“I wanna thank you for that, and I can see that you’re trying to enjoy the Christmas festives so I think I’ll let you be.”

Destiny moved to get up to allow the man to be alone once more but his hand stopped hers from making any steps and pulled her back beside him. Jake placed his arm back around her shoulders as he tried to hide his smirk behind the now semi warm drink in hand.

“I don’t think those guys are gone just yet. Stay, enjoy the festivities with me.”

A smile coated Destiny’s face as she let herself get comfortable in his hold again. Even though she was in the puffer she could still feel the warmth radiating off of Jake as he tried to pull her in closer. To anyone walking by they looked like a regular couple, watched other families make memories. This was slowly bringing a memory either of them would be able to forget as well.

“Favorite Christmas thing to do?”

Jake spit out the question randomly, the silence between them was comfortable but he wanted to learn about the girl he kissed. The question sounded harmless but it wasn’t something that she could answer.

“I don’t know I never really celebrated Christmas”

“What?you serious?”

Destiny nodded while she looked over the families laughing and taking pictures, she started to think back over her own childhood. Becoming an orphan so early at age ten, she never really cared about family holidays, even when she was adopted out, the family that she was with tried to make her feel at home as much as they could but she only let them in so much. Losing her family took a toll on her.

Jake listen as she explained a small piece of her background to him of not having parents, he wanted to understand her and let her know that she didn’t have to be alone anymore. Destiny watched as Jake stood from the bench and held his hand out. He waited until her small cold hand met his and pulled her up with him.

“Where are you taking me.”

“We are going to start some Christmas traditions on our own. Come on darling.”

Lacing their fingers together, and putting them in his pocket as an attempt to keep their hands warm, Jake led the way. He saw a make shift town shop a few streets over and thought that would be the perfect place to start.

They walked though following the path the stalls made them. Each stall had beautiful home made gifts and a few warm snakes here and there. Destiny was looking at some of the bracelets one of the stalls had. It was silver and thin, with a small blue stone in the middle. It was classy, and reminded her of the times she would watch her mother get ready for date nights with her father, something that she loved to watch.

“You want that one?”

“Oh I was just looking.”

Jake saw how she ogled the bracelet and before she could protest once more he already asked the vendor to package it up. The vendor lady smiled at the two as she handed them the bag.

“I hope the wonderful couple has a beautiful Christmas.”

Jake took the bag and thanked the older woman before walking away, he was determined that Destiny was going to have something to remember on this day.

Their walk continued a bit more before the two stopped for hot cocoa and to rest their legs. Destiny hated to admit it, but Jake was right. Being alone during this time of the year isn’t ideal, and she knows that her mother is rolling in her grave every year to see that she doesn’t keep up with any Christmas things they did when she was a child, so it felt good to finally do something and to have someone to do them with.

Jake could see that she was in deep though. He wondered if she was thinking about her late parents or her adoptive ones, if she was reminiscing on the things she use to do with her family, or if she has reached out to her adoptive family yet. So many questions were going through his mind as he watched her finish the hot cocoa cup and toss it in the trash next to them. She turned to face him with a smile on her face.

“Alright, what’s next?”

Jake was almost shocked when he saw how eager she was to try something else. Destiny decided in that money to herself that she would finally start living for herself, with her parents memory in her life.

“Well what do you want to try?”

Downtown was fully of fun things for them to do, many were meant for kids but that meant nothing to the two of them. Destiny started pulling the man around as she was finding things left and right for them to try out. One was taking a photo as Mrs & Mr Clause. Jake remembered ditching back home in Texas with his family but never being tall enough to reach the hole so his dad had to lift him up. They took a few funny photos before going off to the next thing that caught their eyes.

They even took a quick break to make some childish Christmas tree ornaments. Seeing the smile light up Destiny’s face was the highlight of Jakes day. Going from almost being kidnapped to making a paper foam snowman ornament, it was something he needed to capture. So without doubting his next move, Jake took out his phone and took photos of the moment he wanted to never forget, a moment he wanted her to never forget.

Destiny held both of their snowmen side by side and compared them to one another as a muffled laugh came from her.

“Hey, you are not going to laugh at my frosty.”

“I’m not laughing just admiring his uneven eyes.”

Jake smiled as she laughed again, hearing that laugh was slowing becoming a favorite of his, he teased his hand out grabbing the one that held his snowman and stuffing them both in his pocket. The two were having the time of their lives before they realized it was getting dark.

Jake wanted to squeeze in one more thing hoping that she soundly notice. Destiny could see that he was looking looking for something or somebody, and when he found what he needed Jake quickly started moving before she could notice what he found.

“Whoa there speedy, some of us have short legs.”

He chuckled out a short apology as the speed walk quickly turned into regular pace for them again. Destiny took the time to look back on the day. From being followed from her friends house, to being with the most beautiful man that’s she’s met in a long time, seems like a pretty good ending to a day, not to mention Jake making her realize that she finally needed to be her own person again.

Destiny was thankful to Jake for the day they had. He took time out of his personal day to make it something about her and that would be something she doesn’t thing she would ever forget.

Finally coming to a stop, Destiny looked around, Jake had found a way for them to see most of down town, the tree lighting up the night made everything more perfect. Destiny looked over at the man like a kid, eyes lighting up when she saw every decoration that the eye could see from her standing point.

“I think this would be our last stop.”

Jake held his hand out to her once more pulling her out of the way of other couples standing on the bridge as well. She looked down at the rails and saw that it was covered in locks, some heart shapes, others just normal locks.

“Where are we?”

“It’s called lovers locks.”

“Lovers locks? Where couples do-“

“Yeah.”

Jake started to look down at his feet now realizing that this might not have been a good idea. This is a girl me met a few hours ago and he is standing in front of a fence with locks on them symbolizing couples undying love. So many things were going through his head at that moment seeing that he may have made a mistake, but this was the only place he saw where she would be able to see over main downtown.

“If you’re weirded out please let me know. I didn’t think this though at first.”

“Jake I love it.”

Destiny walked up to him taking his hand back into her own. Something about all of this felt right to the two. The meeting, the day, spending time with one another, most of all making memories.

“So would now be a good time to point this out?”

Jake pointed a over their heads, Destiny’s eyes followed closely as she saw the mistletoe dangling over their heads. She looked both ways and saw there strapped to the string lights that was hung up every couple of feet. Jake watched as that smile he was growing to love came back to her face as she looked back at him. Destiny thought the man was slick but loved the fact that this may be the end of the night for her. What made the moment even better, the speaker by them started playing one of her favorite Christmas songs.

“ you know, I think Eartha Kitt was on to something when she made this song. “

Jake paid attention to the songs that played in the background as he matched the smile she held. Knowing this was the perfect moment, Jake moved his hands to her cheeks, muttering a soft apology for his cold hands before brining their lips together once more.

This time something was felt in this kiss, the warmth, admiration, the kiss meant more to the both of them. Jake deepened the kiss ever so slight, for a split moment he thought he heard a soft moan slip from her lips but summed it up to the song playing.

Destiny wanted this man and she wanted more from him, she wanted this every holiday, she wanted to be able to make her own traditions with a love one, and Jake just might be the jackpot she was hoping to hit.

Pulling away when they both needed to breath, Jake allowed his thumb to dance over her cold cheek before letting a small chuckle slip.

“Thank you Eartha for the Christmas carol, and thank you Jake for making this day the best one of my life.”

Pulling her in for a hug, the both turn to leave with new hopes in their hearts.

“You do know that wasn’t a Christmas carol right.”

“Shut up Jake, let me have my moment.”

Chapter 35: The Beginning of the End

Hi guys! Here’s chapter 35, and I’m sorry it’s taken so long! We only have 4 chapters left so we’re nearly at the end hehe 😁, this chapter is mostly a set up for 36 where all the fighting happens, but there is a Yamichar moment in this chapter hehe. I hope you all enjoy 🥰!

As the group finished coming up with a plan they began to divide the city up into sections that each family would try to protect.

“ Yuno, Neva, Miku. You’ll be taking the north section of the city.” William said as he pointed on the map, the three nodded.

“ Alright brats,” Yami started as he looked at his squad members. “ Grey, Gauche, and their brats will take the east section of the city. Zora, Nebra, and their brats will take the south section, and Asta, Noelle, and their brats will take the west.”

“ What about us Captain Yami?” Finral asked, a slight nervous tone in his voice, Yami looked at them with a grin.

“ You three will be with us and Vangeance, we need Ezio close by so we can trap Noir with his magic. So the rest of us will be in the center here.” Yami said as he pointed in the center of the map, Finral and Ezio both went pale.

“ Don’t worry,” Hikari said. “ You'll be closer to the south and we’ll try to keep Noir as far away from you three as possible until Ezio’s portal is ready. Then we’ll take her to you.” Hikari added and that only made the two pale further.

“ Oh come on you two,” Vanessa said cheerfully as she threw her arms of Finral snd Ezio’s shoulders. “ We can do this, besides if anything were to happen Rouge would step in. We’ll be fine.”

“ I’m going with them.” Josslyn said as she stepped towards them, and Hikari frowned.

“ Joss-.”

“ No! I’m going with them, period.” Josslyn said determinedly, and Hikari could see it in both Josslyn’s Ki and in her green eyes.

She was worried about Ezio.

Hikari knew that the pink haired girl cared more for Ezio then she let on, but she was her own worst enemy and would always get in her own way when it came to her feelings for Ezio. But Hikari knew deep down that the girl genuinely shared the same feelings for the pink haired boy that he had for her.

Vanessa walked over to Josslyn and placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a kind smile.

“ It’ll be okay, Finral and I will do everything in our power to keep our son safe and we probably won’t be too far from you and your family if something were to happen. But don’t you think your family will need you more?” Vanessa suggested kindly, when Josslyn turned to look at her family she noticed Ace had a pleading look in his eyes.

“ Please big sis.” Ace asked softly as he walked towards his sister and grabbed her sleeve, Josslyn looked from him to her ‘parents’.

“ I could use your help, especially since Ice Princess over here won’t be of much help in battle.” Zora said as he glanced over at Nebra, who scoffed and glared at him.

“ Like you will be of much help, you’ll probably be off looking for stink bugs or whatever, commoner.” Nebra said before turning back to Josslyn. “ I guess, I could use your help. That way I’m not outnumbered 2:1.” She grumbled, Josslyn let out a sigh.

“ Fine, I’ll…help you guys out.” She told them hesitantly. “ But only because Ace asked me, I don’t really care if you two struggle or not.” She added.

“ Alright, now that we have everything sorted out I think it’s time we start the plan.” William said and the group nodded, but before they got the chance to leave Miku hesitantly raised her hand.

“ What,” she started softly as she looked at everyone. “ What’s going to happen to Kya once you separate her from Noir?”

The group all looked at each other, with the Zogratis siblings none of them had made it out alive. Vanica had her life force taken by her devil, Zenon had developed a devil heart and was killed when Yuno had sliced it in half, and Dante was nearly dead himself before Magna had dealt the final blow.

The adults had no idea what to tell her.

Brielle walked over to her cousin and grabbed her hands, she had a determined look in her eyes.

“ We’ll save Kya no matter what!” Brielle said, sounding so much like her father, Miku blinked and Yuno and Neva both knelt down to the dark haired girl's level.

“ She’s right, we’re going to do everything we can to save her.” Neva told her and Yuno nodded in agreement.

“ What happened to the Zogratis siblings won’t happen to Kya, I won’t let it, that I can and will promise you Miku.” Yuno said as he patted her head and had a determined look on his face.

As Miku looked around at everyone she saw, they all were determined to save Kya, that they wouldn’t let anyone else die because of Noir. Miku knew deep down that they really couldn’t promise anything, but for some reason she believed them. She believed that everything would turn out okay, and that her little sister would be returned to her safely.

After the group comforted Miku they all went to their posts, Charlotte walked beside Yami as Hikari went ahead with William and the Roulacase family.

There was so much she wanted, no, needed to say. She wanted to tell him that she heard his and Hikari’s conversations, both when Alistar passed and when Yami told their ‘daughter’ that he didn’t feel good enough to be with Charlotte.

She wanted to tell him how wrong he was, how he was the only one she wanted to be with. How she didn’t want to marry or date some nobleman who only saw her as a ‘prize’ and not a human. She wanted to tell him that the only reason her curse had been broken was because of him, because he stole her heart.

Now wasn’t the time, that she knew, and it would be cliché of her to confess her feelings for him right now before some great and epic battle again but…

“ I like you.”

Yami stopped in his tracks, he didn’t turn to look at her. Instead he just stood as still as a statue.

‘Dammit Charlotte why did you let that slip out now?! I thought you weren’t going to be cliché or make the same mistake twice?!’ She mentally scolded herself as her face turned beat red, she couldn’t believe she let those words slip out of her mouth!

“ I-I, what I meant was I like your plans and ideas for this! T-That’s what I meant!” She quickly tried to cover, but she knew that it was a weak lie that Yami could see through. She looked down at her shoes in the hopes that Yami would ignore what she said and just keep walking.

Instead, Charlotte suddenly felt something wrap around her and pull her close. When she looked up she noticed Yami had wrapped one arm around her in a hug.

“ Y-Yami?” She stammered, her heart racing and her face steadily becoming more red. Yami didn’t say anything for a while, instead he just held her close.

“ When this battle is over, you and I are going to talk about this because there are some things I have to tell you too.” He told her softly as he let her go. “ But right now we need to focus on beating Noir.” He added, Charlotte noticed his face was a little pink as well.

This was the first time she had ever seen him so embarrassed before.

“ You’re right. When the mission’s over, we’ll talk about this.” She agreed, Yami nodded before turning around and walking ahead again, with Charlotte following behind him.

She couldn’t help but hope that the battle with Noir would end quickly.

Back at the Lumi Castle

“ I think you and I need to have a long overdue chat.”

Discordia scoffed as she crossed her arms, she really didn’t feel like talking to anyone at the moment. Especially not to him.

“ You can leave, I have nothing to say to you.” She told Nacht curtly, but Nacht quickly walked over to her.

“ Well that’s funny because I have a lot to say to you.” Nacht told her Discordia let out a dramatic sigh before turning back to look at her cousin.

“ What pray tell do you have to say to me?”

“ I know about your daughter.” Nacht said, he watched his cousin's eyes widen and he swore he saw her begin to shake. One thing that was certain was the mana suddenly became more intense.

“ What about her?” Discordia asked, the smile on her face looking incredibly forced. Nacht knew he had touched a nerve.

“ That she was taken from you, and that now you’re using a devil as her replacement.” Nacht said coldly. “ Devils are not children, they’re more like pets if I’m being honest.”

“ ‘Pets’? You see them as pets?” She said with a humorless laugh, suddenly her cool facade completely deteriorating. She looked at her cousin with some of the coldest eyes he had ever seen.

“ What if it were Morgen? If you met a devil who was exactly like Morgen, could you treat it as just a ‘pet’?” She asked him, and Nacht froze for a moment.

If a devil appeared that was exactly like Morgen? He didn’t quite know how he would react. It would be a shock, of course, but would he treat it the same as he treated his other devils he had?

“ You’re a hypocrite.” She told him. “ You want to scold me and yet you would probably do the exact same thing I would.”

“ I would destroy it.” Nacht told her coldly. “ It may look and act like Morgen, but it isn’t him. At the end of the day Morgen, our Morgen, is dead. No devil could ever replace him.”

He watched something flash in Discordia’s eyes, it was an emotion he didn’t recognize. She was angry, but there was something else in there too.

“ So you would ‘destroy’ it. Just like how you want to destroy my child?” She asked, her voice dangerously low.

“ Discordia, she isn’t-!” Nacht said and he suddenly felt something cut his cheek, when he looked he noticed one of Discordia’s blood knives sticking out of the wall.

When he turned back to face his cousin he saw a dangerous smile on her face as she began to use her blood magic.

“ If you want to destroy my daughter, you’ll have to go through me first, dear cousin.” She told him as she held a bunch of throwing knives between her fingers.

Nacht sighed, he should have known talking to her rationally wasn’t going to work. But it was better to have tried and failed than to not try at all.

“ Have it your way then, dear cousin.”

Back at the border of Spade and Lumi

Yami and the others waited and waited, he had given each family a communicator so they could all talk or ask for help if needed.

“ Alright everyone, they’re about to arrive. Make sure you’re all prepared.” Yami said he heard a bunch of ‘yes captains’ from everyone.

“ Do you think Ezio will be able to figure out his new magic in time?” Charlotte asked as she stood beside Hikari.

“ He will. I have faith in him.” Hikari said confidently, and Charlotte chuckled.

“ Hopefully you’re right.”

Suddenly Yami felt someone come to stand beside, when he turned he noticed it was William. The two stood silently as they stared out over the horizon.

“ I wanted to ask you something, Yami.” William said, and Yami nodded as he pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and began to take a drag.

“ Go ahead.”

“ It’s about Kya, I think I know how we can save her.” William said softly so that Hikari and Charlotte wouldn’t hear. He didn’t want to give them false hope in case his plan happened to fail.

“ You can save her? How?” Yami asked curiously, he also made sure to keep his voice low. This conversation would only be between them.

“ I can use Yggdrasil. It’ll take quite a bit of my mana so I may not be able to help much in battle. But if we manage to separate Kya and Noir like we did with Dante and Lucifero, and she still has some of her life force, I can use Yggdrasil to heal her and take her away. There won’t be much time, so I’ll have to be quick when I grab her.”

Yami stood there in thought, it was a good idea, and considering William’s spell had managed to heal quite a few of his Golden Dawn, it was worth a try. But the issue was the timing, they would have to give William an opening to use his spell and keep Noir distracted until he carried the girl away safely.

“ It’s worth a shot. I’ll give you the opening you need.” Yami told him, and William nodded. Yami turned to look at William, he knew the man felt regret at not being able to save his son. So now he was going to make up for it by trying to save his squadmate's daughter.

“ I’m sorry about Alistar,” Yami said suddenly. “ I never got the chance to tell you that before.”

William took a deep breath and nodded, he knew Yami had other things on his mind during that time and Hikari needed him. He gave Yami a small smile.

“ Thank you Yami.”

“ Captain!” Yami suddenly heard someone shout from his communication device, he pulled it out of his pocket.

“ Noir’s army is here! They’re approaching the North gate-.” Yuno started before someone cut him off.

“ Captain Yami sir, this is Asta! We have people coming to the west gate too sir!” Asta shouted loudly.

Suddenly a barrage of voices began to shout one by one through the device, Noir’s army had the city surrounded. Yami and the others felt an intense mana come towards them and turned to look.

“ Aw, were you all waiting for me?” Noir said tauntingly as the wings behind her disappeared and she landed on the ground in front of the group.

“ You took your dear sweet time in showing up.” Hikari stated as she pulled her Katana out as well as her grimoire, the others did the same.

“ Sorry, I had places to go and people to possess. You know, devil things.” Noir said with a shrug, the group could suddenly feel mana going off at all the different gates.

The groups were fighting.

“ Oh dear, looks like your friends are going to struggle a bit. They really thought I’d come by with only peasants, there’s nobles and royals in the bunch as well.” Noir said with a grin, Yami let out a chuckle.

“ Now who’s the one underestimating people?” He asked. “ Trust me, those kids will be able to handle whatever you throw at them.”

“ Oh I have no doubt that they’ll at least be able to handle them in the beginning. But my question to you four now is,” A wave of strong mana suddenly radiated from Noir as she smirked at them. “ How long will you be able to handle me? After all, I’m much stronger than those at the gates.”

“ We’ll be able to handle you just fine!” Yami said confidently as he and the other began to get their spells ready, Noir began to laugh as she did the same.

“ While I admire your arrogance, I think it will be your ultimate downfall, Captains.”
