Patch Me Up

Jimmy Hopkins X Fem | Reader

Summary: Jimmy always gains wounds on his hands from all those fights, and you help to patch him up, every single time. Attention: Mentioned/Non-graphic Violence

(A/n): This is a new fandom I have been intersted in for a while now, that’s why I’ve been away writing for BULLY, since there is not much on all the sites I have looked. There are a lot of interesting characters in this Game that I get to play even! I think some will like it as much as I do. _________________________________________

"Oww..." Jimmy hisses as (Y/n) cleans up his now very open and bleeding knuckles, she clicks her tongue in silent judgement while resuming her magic tricks of healing. Jimmy remembers (Y/n) telling him that she wanted to become a doctor of sorts, and he believes wholeheartedly that she can achieve that dream of hers. With the number of times, she has helped him with any minor injuries he's had over time.

Cleaning the blood off Jimmy's hands, other people's blood mixed with his own. (Y/n)'s hold on his fingers is firm yet tender, not to hurt him but just to keep him still. This isn't the first time (Y/n) finds herself treating the wounds on Jimmy's hands. She tried to reason with him the first few times to stop fighting with everyone and everything, but it happened again...

After cleaning the wounds, (Y/n) takes the bandages she had prepared for later, loosens the strip to wrap up his hands and dresses the wounds. "This is the point where you tell me off," Jimmy speaks up after a moment of silence and merely watches her work. (Y/n) chuckles and lightly shakes her head, her gaze still remaining on her friend's wounded hands. "Do you listen to that?" she quips, finally looking at him with amusement. Jimmy can't help but laugh as well. She seemed to have realized that scolding him doesn't work. "Only a little bit." He replies, his hand limb in her hold as she keeps wrapping the bandages around his palm neatly, then she moves on to the other hand.

"I can see that." (Y/n) gestures with her gaze to his most recent injuries. Jimmy hisses in discomfort again as she tightens the bandages, "Yeah, yeah... Whatever." He dismisses and looks away into the furthest corner of his room. There it is... The moment that's always so painfully awkward. "whatever, whatever. That's all you can say..." (Y/n) whispers a quiet complaint to herself while continuing to patch him up. Jimmy doesn't reply to her complaining, merely watching her wrap the thin bandages over and through his fingers.

He never admits it, but for some strange reason, he likes this moment. It's calm, there is nothing else but (Y/n) and him while she bandages his war-torn hands up so the 5th time this month alone.

"There we go! As good as new!" (Y/n) gleams at her finished work, Jimmy's hands wrapped in bandages. "You need to keep this on for a few days. I'll refresh them for you tomorrow." (Y/n) looks at Jimmy and smile kindly. Jimmy looks away and examines the bandages, then grins back at his friend. "Yeah, that's good. Thanks, (Y/n)." He tests the agility of his own fingers while his palms are neatly dressed. (Y/n)'s smile doesn't fade as she leans on his knee to stand back up from the floor.

"It's no problem at all, Jim." (Y/n) moves over to her personal medical kit to clean everything up and dispose of the bloody rags. "Guess it's for good use after all." She has hardly used the medical kit on herself as she had initially intended... Luckily. But this is a rather violent school among the students, mostly the boys that get into physical fights on a nearly daily basis. Now, (Y/n) doesn't like to see her friend; Jimmy in pain. So she agreed to help him with whatever wounds he obtained. Jimmy never protested about it and eventually became friendly after the fourth time. (Y/n) never complains about having to patch him up every time, and he is grateful every time. And he feels like just saying 'thanks' is not enough to make it up to her. ~~A Week Later~~ Jimmy hasn't seen (Y/n) all day. And to be honest, he was getting a little worried. In the late afternoon, after classes, he started to ask around for her and the people she is closest with. The only person who had a good lead was Ricky from the Greasers, who (Y/n) is on good terms with. "Yeah, (Y/n) tried to defend some Freshman pipsqueak from one of the Bullies. They started to fight, and (Y/n) took a few hits before she fled." Ricky explains what happened, a look of concern on his face. "And you just stood there and watched?!" Jimmy accuses angrily, but Ricky is quick to defend himself and his hands in defence, shaking his head frantically. "No! Of course not! I tried to help her when she ran away, but she is really fast, man." Ricky defends. Jimmy doesn't want to hear anything anymore and walks away from the Greaser without saying anything to him. "Just make sure she's okay!" Ricky calls after Jimmy, and once again, does not get a response. Jimmy now knows for sure that (Y/n) got hurt in some way, and he only grows madder. He is ready to pummel whoever dared to hurt her into the ground, six feet below if he gets the chance to. His rage does not last very long when he hears an almost inaudible sob coming from behind the wall before the girls' dorm he just stomps past. He assumes that it must be (Y/n), which seems like the next best conclusion in his mind. And he was right, upon approaching and investigating the noise. He finds (Y/n) leaning against the wall, sniffling lightly. Beatrice is by her side attempting to comfort her. "It'll heal in a couple of days, (Y/n). And the bleeding will stop on its own, keep your head forward, not backwards." She pushes her back to keep her leaning forward, her nose pressed in a bloody tissue. "What happened to you?!" Jimmy takes a defensive stance. Ready to attack anyone she'd point at, at her expense. (Y/n) doesn't look up to meet his eye, but Beatrice does, looking at him solemnly. "She got attacked by Wade when defending a Freshman. That's what she told me." Beatrice confirms what Ricky has told him had happened. Jimmy sighs deeply in an attempt to calm down slightly to be able to help you. "Where is your medical kit, (Y/n)?" He asks once he has calmed down, but she doesn't respond vocally and only points in the direction of the girls down, Jimmy assumes that it's in her dorm. And without a second thought, he goes to look for it.

He came back a moment later with (Y/n)'s medical kit in hand, along with a cold rag for the bruises.

Once Beatrice notices Jimmy return, she stands up and coughs awkwardly. "I presume you've got this. I need to get a jump on chemistry." He assumes that Beatrice got uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. Doesn't matter, he can handle this. Jimmy takes a seat right next to (Y/n) with the medical kit on the other side. "come 'ere..." Jimmy grabs (Y/n) by her shoulder and makes her turn to look at him. She lifts her head from the tissue, dried blood covering her nose and mouth, a bruise forming under her right eye. Jimmy takes the rag and runs it over the forming bruise as gently as he could. (Y/n) eventually relaxes as it is his turn to patch her up. "I was stupid... Thinking I could take him on..." (Y/n) scolds herself while Jimmy cleans the dried blood away from under her nose. "Yeah, you are," Jimmy adds to her scolding, causing her to laugh a little. But her laugh was cut short with a little hiss of pain as Jimmy presses the rag on the bruise a little too hard. "Sorry..." Jimmy quickly apologizes. Once the blood is completely gone, Jimmy lets (Y/n) hold the rag over her bruise. "Thanks for helping me." (Y/n) gives Jimmy a look of sincerity. Jimmy looks down at the ground and shrugs, a little flustered. "Yeah, No problem..." He replies. "It's about time I pay you back for all the times you helped me." He explains while cleaning up the medical kit just like he has seen (Y/n) do so many times before. "You're a good friend, Jimmy." (Y/n) says out of the blue. Despite being in pain, she manages to smile a little, or maybe the pain has ceased by now. Jimmy laughs, "And you are too. Even if you're too reckless for your own good." He replies with a grin as turns back to his friend. She laughs, "Same to you!" She gives Jimmy a playful punch on his arm. Jimmy feels very accomplished, he got the chance to repay (Y/n) for all the times she has helped him. _________________________________________ Here is the first one.
