Snow Day PAP
What do you need to reflect on?
Reading done: Jan. 9, 2024
Decks used: Rider Waite Smith, The Wild Unknown, Spirit Halloween
I thought it would be fun to do a pick-a-pile reading today. I'm using three different tarot decks for these readings. I've placed three crystals on each deck as well to give more energy into the reading. Focus on the energy of each pile and go for the one you feel intuitively drawn to.
Tumblr media
Pile 1: Rose Quartz
Tumblr media
Ace of Wands [-> Page of Wands, King of Swords, Ace of Swords], The Empress, VI of Pentacles, IV of Cups [-> The Lovers]
You may have been feeling a bit impulsive lately, especially with your spending habits. You've been very generous during this past holiday season, but now you're wondering if it was worth it. You're used to being the provider, and you're wondering when it will be time for others to give back to you.
This Empress card can also deal with fertility, so if you've been a bit too impulsive, you might want to be a little more cautious. Being snowed in can bring boredom a bit too easily.
A new creative vision or project will have you feeling a stronger sense of personal power. Communicating your ideas clearly will be beneficial to you. Perhaps you've been wanting a baby, or to take your relationship to the next level. Take the time to make a decision and then communicate effectively.
If you've been waiting to act on your crush, make sure you do so with a clear head.
The overall lesson is to pause before communicating your thoughts and ideas. Whether it's for business or personal relationships, concise thoughts lead to progress.
Pile 2: Blue Calcite
Tumblr media
Son of Swords [-> Mother of Wands, II of Pentacles], Daughter of Cups [->II of Wands]
I'm getting the sense of two separate people here. One who is determined in achieving their goals and may even be a bit too forceful with them. They person comes off as very intelligent and usually grounded. On the other hand, there's someone who is quite the opposite: very creative and in tune with their emotions. This person might have trouble staying grounded. Each of these people can learn from one another.
For this first person, they're doing all of this because there's something they're protecting. Perhaps they're used to being the provider, or being provided for, and they have a lot to prove. New job prospects might be making them feel more possessive during this time. They need to embrace this change and have faith in themself.
For this second person, they're really feeling that sense of direction. Perhaps they lacked it in the past as their head was always swimming with new ideas. This person should be aware of their thought patterns at this time if they want to realize their goals. They should try to be more positive towards themself.
What's the lesson they can learn from each other? -> IX of Pentacles
Loyalty and devotion. By devoting themselves they'll be able to create the happiness they deserve. This could be a happy home, a happy career, or even a happy life. Perhaps even together. It takes a lot of hard work to pay this off, but both individuals are used to this. If they rely on each other, maybe even take a note out of each other's books, they can find this harmony.
Pile 3: Peacock Ore
Tumblr media
[The Hermit, Eight of Swords] -> The Star
Note that I'm using the Spirit Halloween deck. It's very novelty and the art rarely matches the meaning of the cards. I'm feeling drawn to using the imagery for this reading so it will be partially that and mainly my intuition from the cards.
This snow day is a perfect day of reflection for you. Spend some time alone with your thoughts to get them in order. You may have been feeling ostracized as of late, so alone time may not seem welcoming, but I urge you to sit with it. Find solace in it. It may be uncomfortable, but it's necessary.
You stand out from the crowd, and this may make you feel like a victim at times but know that you are glorious within. Removing yourself from the crowd may be necessary to sit with your individuality and learn to appreciate it.
There's a brightness inside you that is full of hope. You can share this with others, but it's important to love yourself first. (I saw a tiktok the other day of someone living in a European country discussing a cultural difference of how competition amongst others can bring resentment and it's fueled by insecurity. She said, "I can't be your friend until you are your own friend first". That's immediately coming to mind here.) Use the time of quiet and stillness to learn to love yourself. Pour into you before you pour into others, this way your cup doesn't become empty.
Closing message of this reading: The Tower, The Sun
Building up your confidence will prevent unwanted energy from shaking you. Let the lightning strikes in the background of this Tower moment to ignite the fire within you. Rest is needed to be reborn.

//Front Desk Astrology//
by Stephanie Maltez
Tumblr media
The cards drawn up this month are from The Wild Unknown Tarot Deck & Guidebook by Kim Krans
Steph’s Amateur Front Desk Intuitive Interpretation of the Energy in August: Strong guidance to do everything the right way. Don’t take shortcuts. Follow the instructions. Follow the rules. Etc. This is because, should something uncomfortable pop up, your guides need you to not blame yourself or feel shame or guilt that you could have done something different - especially when you did/said everything right.
Leo, Happy Birthday!! Your card for the month: Father of Cups Diplomatic, Open-Minded The Father of Cups has a truly unique and dynamic personality. He’s the most feminine of all the fathers within the tarot and usually a patron of the arts. He’s a dignified man who supports his family and community. The only thing holding this man back are his deeply rooted insecurities; they are vast and affect his personality in many unpredictable ways.
…and Happy Early Birthday Virgo! Your card for the month: 6 of Pentacles Prosperity, Growth, Generosity The Six of Pentacles indicates that your long-awaited fruits are ready for harvesting, bringing more wealth than anticipated. Make sure you are generous during this bountiful time. This card can also signify generosity coming from someone else. If this is the case, accent the help with grace and put the resources to good use.
Libra Your card for the month: Wheel of Fortune Destiny, Change of Course Whether day or night, the Wheel of Fortune is always in motion. Some call it fate; others, destiny. It’s possible to go for months or years without feeling its presence…but when this card appears, the eye of the wheel is fixed upon you. Don’t be surprised if there’s a change of course heading your way, something you’d least expect. Whatever happens to you during this time, know that it is bringing you closer to your life’s purpose.
Scorpio Your card for the month: Father of Wands
Charismatic, Creative The Father of Wands is a man of mystique and charisma. Others are drawn to him naturally, and he welcomes them with an open and loving heart. Usually you’ll find him involved in the healing arts, as he’s deeply compassionate and in tune with life and nature. He is able to hold steady and still during conflict.
Sagittarius Your card for the month: The Hierophant Mentor, Seeking Knowledge In its simplest form, the Hierophant represents a mentor or teacher. This card signifies a hunger for knowledge, whether it is in the practical or the spiritual realm. You’ve come as far as you can on your own; now it’s time to deepen your practice. Don’t hesitate – join a class, go to a workshop, don’t be afraid of new experiences. A new ceremony or ritual may prove to be both comforting and rewarding. Open your heart, and your teacher will soon appear.
Capricorn Your card for the month: The Chariot Strong Will, Triumph The Chariot is your confidence, your will, and your inner warrior. At points in your life when you felt the bliss of achievement or triumph, you were riding on his back. Build a relationship with this part of yourself. Try to “see” the chariot inside you. The more focused your mind, the easier it will be to sense his presence and stay mounted on his back. With a fixed gaze and sure floating, you’ll be headed toward all you dream of.
Aquarius Your card for the month: 8 of Pentacles Craftmanship, Skill The spider is a true master of her craft. She weaves against all odds with skill, intricacy, and confidence. The Eight of Pentacles requires a similar approach. Hone your skills. You are close to finding mastery at your craft, so strive for it. Pay attention to all the details. In some cases, this card means you need to find a new hobby, something you truly enjoy. Start a project. Become good at it.
Pisces Your card for the month: Mother of Cups Insightful, Psychic
The Mother of Cups rivals the High Priestess with her natural psychic abilities. She’s a gentle, tranquil woman whose insights bring healing to those around her. She thrives when amidst her family, the arts, and music or beauty of any kind. Like a true swan, when the Mother of Cups is pushed, she becomes aggressive and defensive. She’ll commonly see herself as the victim when distressed in a situation.
Aries Your card for the month: The Tower Unexpected Upheaval When The Tower card appears, it’s time to brace yourself for a change. The well-rooted tree that’s been growing strong for decades is crashing down around you. Your world may feel as though it’s literally falling apart – and you didn’t see it coming. Even though this phase is painful and confusing, it will be over soon. You’ll look back and feel grateful things changed course. You might even see it as a personal “breakthrough” in the end.
Taurus Your card for the month: Justice Decisions, Karma With tails entwined, two cats look directly at you…waiting for you to choose between them. Which is right and which is wrong? The justice card implies a weight or heaviness surrounding a choice you have to make. Now is not the time to shun the concept of divine balance, or karma. All of your choices affect your life, and sometimes the lives of those around you, both now and in the future.
Gemini Your card for the month: 3 of Swords Betrayal, Heartbreak, Turmoil A dark complex card, the 3 of Swords is rarely a welcome sight. Its wrath may come in the form of lies, betrayal, cheating, or heartbreak. There will be emotional entanglement and confusion. Do not try to make any decisions while in this state. Wait for your heart and spirit to mend.
Cancer Your card for the month: 8 of Swords Trapped, Powerless Surrounded by obstacles and threats on all sides, you find yourself the victim. You see no way out, no available choices. Your perceptions keep you from opening your wings and taking flight. What keeps you suspended here? Yourself or others? The Eight of Swords demands an answer. You cannot hang here much longer.

I’m really fixated on romance right now for some reason, so here we are with a soulmate reading. I’m of the belief that we don’t just have romantic soulmates but platonic and familial ones as well. However, for this reading, I am choosing to focus solely on romance.
I’m experimenting with a new format. I linked each of the readings to a google doc, this is mostly because they ended up being way longer than I’d anticipated (story of my life). I also thought that it might be more organized to do it this way. I’d appreciate feedback on whether or not I should keep doing it.

Mother of Cups r
Winter+New Love
I’m getting some self-made energy here, they are likely a very hard worker who puts in a lot of time and energy. Their success, while appreciated, makes them feel very alone. There’s a lot of wands energy here, so they are generous with their money and it’s possible that other people take advantage of that. The Mother of Cups reversed reinforces this idea as she brings the message: “you give too much of yourself to others”.
The High Priestess, Fool, and Hanged Man being pulled together makes me think they function in two very different ways. Either, they overthink literally everything to the point of never making a decision, or they just do things very impulsively without a second thought.
They want a big, happy family, whatever that means to them. It could involve having children or just having a lot of pets. However, due to past relationships, they no longer feel as though they could trust anyone enough to live out that dream.
They feel disillusioned with love, which gives them a lot of conflicting emotions. Because, again, there’s a lot of wands energy, so they’re a very passionate person. Their current belief that love isn’t real is a direct contradiction to who they are at their core. Winter and new love could be taken literally, like you’ll meet and fall in love with them in the winter. Or, if you wanted to look deeper at it, it could mean that you help them get out of this place of being unable to consider love.
How You Can Recognize Them:
8 of Cups r, Son of Wands, 7 of Wands r, King of Diamonds
5 of Pentacles, Father of Cups, 3 of Swords, Jack of Hearts
The Devil r, The Fool, The Devil, 2 of Spades
10 of Pentacles, The High Priestess r, Queen of Hearts
The Hermit, 7 of Pentacles r, 10 of Cups r, 7 of Diamonds
Hanged man, 4 of Cups r, 10 of Diamonds r
“You’re having trouble getting in touch with your emotions”
“You’re not seeing clearly”
Ex
This person has an unmistakable light about them. Being with them is like sitting outside on a nice day soaking up the sun. However, they are still holding on to the past, and this is to their detriment. When you meet them, if you haven’t already, they will be extremely hung up on their ex. They are going to be obsessing over what went wrong and whether or not they can fix it. I can’t tell if they want to fix it to get back together with their ex, because they think it will give them closure, or because they think it will help them avoid making the same mistakes in their next relationship. But, they also don’t actually want to fix anything because that would mean confronting their emotions and they would really rather not. They will likely seem to be existing outside of reality, they are going to be so distracted by this internal conflict that they aren’t going to notice the world around them.
In all honesty, they will be very difficult for you to recognize. You’ll probably notice them because of their light, but you won’t (and shouldn’t) consider them a potential partner - at least not until they’ve dealt with their issues and moved on. I want to stress that while they are so focused on their past relationship(s), that’s not all they have going on. They are a 3 dimensional human being like the rest of us, but this is just the information I was able to get.
I also want to mention that their family is very important to them, they’re the type of person to call or text each member of their immediate family every day. I also get the impression that you two will be friends for a while before getting into a relationship.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pile 2: Fish
Who They Are:
Queen of Swords, 9 of Wands, 9 of Cups r, The Tower r, Jack of Spades
King of Swords, Daughter of Wands, 3 of Pentacles, 8 of Diamonds
Judgment r, 2 of Cups r, Daughter of Swords r, The Chariot r, 3 of Spades
5 of Pentacles, Temperance, 7 of Wands, Jack of Hearts
The Emperor, 8 of Pentacles, The Magician r, Ace of Wands, 4 of Spades
“I’m sorry”
Best friends
Between the Emperor and having all of the court cards of the Swords suit, this person has a very powerful presence. They’re almost the kind of person that makes people stop and stare, I say almost because they’re intimidating and people don’t want to be caught staring. Not intimidating in a scary way, they just - and I can’t stress this enough - exude power. They are also very ambitious and highly intelligent. So when they put their mind to something, they will execute it perfectly. Or, at least, they want people to think it was done perfectly. They have a very “everything’s under control” look to them, but they’re barely hanging on by a thread. I feel like one bad day would send them into an existential spiral, because they don’t know who they are if they’re not perfect.
Nothing’s ever come easily to them and they’ve had to fight their whole life to get the things that they have now. They’ve never had the option of giving up. If they gave up, they were worthless, they were nothing - that’s how they’ve always seen it. I imagine there’s a lot of parental pressure at play here. It’s turned them into a workaholic, there’s no work-life balance to be found. I’m getting the impression that the “I’m sorry” card has to do with this aspect of their life.
The “best friends” card speaks for itself. With the Jack of Hearts and Daughter of Wands, there’s a playful energy to them. But these are the only cards pointing this out, which tells me that they restrain this part of themself. I think that you being their friend, as well as their partner, will show them that they don’t need to be so serious all the time. This is something buried so deep it’ll need some time and energy to be coaxed out of them.
This is pretty obvious, but this person’s biggest fear is failure.
How You Can Recognize Them:
Knight of Wands r, 4 of Wands r, 8 of Cups, 9 of Swords
King of Pentacles, The Moon r, 7 of Swords r, Queen of Spades
5 of Pentacles, Mother of Swords, Queen of Wands, 4 of Hearts
Queen of Cups, Daughter of Swords r, Knight of Wands
7 of Cups r, Son of Swords, 4 of Pentacle, 5 of Diamonds
The World r, 9 of Wands r, 8 of Hearts r
You feel as if you aren’t getting the recognition you deserve
Seperation
We’re definitely seeing their more sensitive, playful aspects. However, these are still vastly overpowered by their Swords energy as, once again, all the court cards are out - the Queen’s out twice. Seriously, this person has such powerful energy that it’s the first thing you notice.
I feel like you’ll meet either at work or at school, somewhere where you’re working on a group project together. The people you’re working with aren’t going to take your contributions seriously. But, once they realize you’re right, they’ll claim they were  their ideas all along. The Swords family is very fair-minded, so I think this person’s going to have a problem with that.
They have this very detached, uninterested persona and once you’ve spent time around your soulmate, you’re going to pick up on the fact that they are deeper than they want people to think they are. When they’re more comfortable with you, which will take some time, you might catch glimpses of them being competitive/hot-headed or they’ll start making jokes around you. If you’re patient enough, they’ll eventually be vulnerable with you.
They have a fear of the unknown and love is foreign to them, so this is definitely a slow-burn.
In both of these readings I got a wave of pretty interesting energy. It wasn’t anxiety or dizziness, but felt similar to both. I felt like I lost my balance, that’s probably how you'll make this person feel. They have a lot of plans for life and you’re not one of them, so they’ll be thrown for a loop.
You can’t help everyone
Over-investment in work
Aries
The first thing that I’m seeing is that this person will probably have some self-esteem issues. It seems to be tied to their abilities more so than appearance.
They have a lot of ideas for projects that they want to work on, but they never seem to start anything, let alone finish. I think this is because they try to be everything to everyone and don’t prioritize themself. They find contentment in the idea that everybody likes them, but this can make them a people pleaser. This can lead to them taking on long hours at work to make their boss happy. It’s also unrealistic because there’s not a person on Earth that’s universally liked. I think this is something they’ll come to realize in their own time.
They may come across as indecisive at times, they aren’t. They always know exactly what they want, but can have a hard time asserting themself.
There’s a fire that burns bright here, this person has a lot of drive and ambition. This is where that aries energy comes in, they don’t have to have aries placements so please don’t get fixated on that. But, like I said before, they hold themself back by prioritizing other people and neglecting their own needs. They have the potential to be really successful, however they need to start putting themself first.
This seems like a very sensitive individual, just the thought of doing something under-handed stresses them out. Which is a good thing for other people, because your soulmate’s very charming and could probably talk themself out of anything.
For some reason I get the impression that they have a bit of a sweet tooth.
How You Can Recognize Them:
2 of Swords r, The Empress, Queen of Cups, 3 of Hearts
9 of Pentacles r, Judgment r, The Moon, 10 of Spades
The Fool, Mother of Wands r, Hierophant r, Jack of Diamonds
The Chariot r, The Hermit, 4 of Wands, Joker B&W r
3 of Pentacles, 4 of Wands r, Knight of Wands, 4 of Spades
King of Cups r, The Magician r
You’re having trouble getting in touch with your emotions
September
Think before you speak
Let’s start with the reinforcements of their self-esteem issues, as well as their people pleasing tendencies. It’s exhausting for them, emotionally and physically. They are well and truly holding themself back, and I think that by the time you meet them they’ll be starting to examine these aspects of themself. This will be something they struggle with for a while and there may be a period of time where they withdraw to think things through.
The joker in black and white in standard decks is my fool reversed card, but it’s reversed so its the fool reversed reversed. The fool upright, I feel like there could have been a simpler way for my cards to get that message to me. But I also feel like it represents the way your person talks to themself, they make everything just a little bit more complicated than it needs to be. They think in circles, eventually getting to the point but it may take them a while. This may be a contributing factor to their perceived indecisiveness.
 They want to make a home with you. I get the impression that when talking about it with you, they’ll appear to be cool and collected. Like it’s not a big deal to them. But then they’ll turn around and shout it from the rooftops. It won’t be possible for people to not know you’re together, they’ll just be so loud about it.
Outside of the need to make everybody like them, they’re a pretty care-free individual. It will be important to them that you have fun together. I think this playfulness is their most defining feature and probably the first thing people notice about them.
In the first two piles, it looked like they’d be friends for a while before getting into a relationship with their person. That’s not the case here, like I said before, when this person knows, they know. They’re not going to waste time with you.
Pile 4: Zebra
Who They Are:
The Fool, The Hanged Man,  Queen of Swords, Ace of Clubs
6 of Swords r, 2 of Wands, The Hanged Man, Ace of Hearts
Ace of Cups, Mother of Pentacles r, 4 of Wands, Jack of Spades,
3 of Swords r, The Magician, 10 of Pentacles, Queen of Cups r, Jack of Diamonds
3 of Cups, The High Priestess, Strength, The Fool r, King of Spades
Soulmate
Hostile
May
The first thing I’m picking up on is that your soulmate is someone who is very carefree. They also have a lot of romantic energy to them, so they are definitely a hopeless romantic.
The amount of Major Arcana here tells me that this person is likely very spiritually gifted, they might not be consciously aware of this.
This person is kind of a go-getter. Once they decide they want something, nothing’s getting in their way.
There are some conflicting energies here because as happy and carefree as they are, there’s an equal amount of pain and hardship. This is someone who’s faced a lot of hostility, so at first will be fairly guarded. They love the idea of being in love, but have difficulties opening themself up to the reality of love. It’s not all bad, they are making an active effort to heal and not let past heartbreak hold them back.
With the Magician and High Priestess facing each other, this is someone who is likely very in touch with their spirituality. Not only are they able to  trust their intuition, but they also have everything that they need to follow it. Once they have a gut feeling about something, whatever it is, they will trust it more than they’ll trust you, and be right 90% of the time.
 They are very compassionate and probably are used to giving more than they take, which gets them taken advantage of. Part of their growth is going to be finding a balance in this aspect of their life.
This is someone who values family and most likely wants some kind of family unit, whether that be having children or pets.
The month of May might be important, it could be when you meet or one of you could be a Taurus or a Gemini.
How You Can Recognize Them:
Ace of Cups, 3 of Pentacles r, 8 of Wands, 2 of Swords
Page of Cups, Justice r, 5 of Cups, 7 of Clubs
King of Pentacles, 10 of Cups, Strength r, 2 of Diamonds
2 of Pentacles r, 9 of Cups r, Queen of Wands, King of Diamonds
Death, The Hierophant, Page of Wands, 9 of Spades
Sensitive
Peaceful
There’s still time to change your mind.
One of their prominent characteristics is their sensitivity. This doesn’t mean that they’re crybabies, they are just very mindful of everybody's feelings. This paired with what we learned about the painful parts of their past probably makes them a little insecure. This insecurity is only a problem when it comes to relationships. They may come across as very confident and flirty, but as soon as it moves past that they start clamming up and getting nervous. It could be bad enough that they have a hard time believing that you actually want to be with them.
They invest a lot of time into their projects, whether work related or personal. It’s likely that they struggle with finding a work-life balance. This is someone who needs to feel productive at every moment of the day. They keep themself busy so that they don’t need to be alone with their thoughts. This isn’t someone that knows peace. It is something they’d like to experience, but they don’t know how to. They have too many thoughts and can’t quiet their mind, their inner-demons get the best of them at times. This isn’t something they express outwardly though, everyone around them probably sees them as someone who, while busy, is fairly laid back. They need a lot of guidance here so if you’re someone who meditates, this could be something you help them with.
It’ll be easiest for you to recognize them based on their sensitivity and active lifestyle. They will be extremely helpful to their friends and family, and would drop everything to be there if needed. They are also, surprisingly down-to-earth.
Pile 5: Hawk
Who They Are:
5 of Cups, Judgment, Queen of Wands, Queen of Spades
Knight of Wands r, 10 of Wands r, 5 of Pentacles r, 3 of Diamonds
7 of Cups r, The Fool r, 10 of Pentacles, King of Spades
2 of Swords r, 9 of Cups, 3 of Cups r, 3 of Spades
The High Priestess r, 3 of Pentacles, Magician r, 9 of Diamonds
“You’re my everything.”
You need to hold yourself to more reasonable standards.
This is someone with a lot of pain, they are overwhelmed and feel defeated. I’m getting the impression that it has to do primarily with work/co-workers. It could be that they put a lot of themself into their work and seem to always get passed up for promotions, or they could have even been recently laid off. They’re very ambitious and intelligent, so if they did get laid off, it would be a big hit to their ego. Alternatively, they could have almost reached a long-standing dream, only for it to fall apart at the last second.
Your soulmate has a lot of fiery passion that they don’t always know what to do with, so they turn everything into a competition. The thing is, they’re only competing with themself. They’re always trying to be better than they were yesterday, even when it’s unrealistic.
As passionate as they are, they can be very patient when it comes to getting what they want. They know that not everything can be rushed, even if that’s frustrating to them. They try to avoid making reckless mistakes, but sometimes this can lead to them not making decisions in a timely manner.
They value family and friends greatly, this could be the most important part of their life to them. They’ll test you to see if you can gain the approval of their loved ones. If you don’t, they may begin to have second thoughts. This is a soulmate though, so you’ll likely be very compatible and win everyone over with relative ease.
How You Can Recognize Them:
5 of Pentacles, The Moon, 4 of Swords, 5 of Clubs
King of Pentacles, Judgment, 5 of Swords r, King of Wands r, 7 of Diamonds
2 of Swords r, Daughter of Pentacles, 5 of Pentacles r, 3  of Clubs
Temperance r, Son of Wands r, High Priestess r, 7 of Swords r, Jack of Clubs
6 of Swords r, The Tower r, Page of Pentacles r, 5 of Hearts
You are not seeing clearly
Hesitant
When You meet this person, they will be coming out of a very rough period of their life. They are going to be at the start of their healing journey and they won’t have a lot of time or energy for romance. They’re likely very hard on themself, they don’t want to be seen as weak so they don’t express negative emotions. This is something they have to confront in order to heal.
They are going to be in a complicated headspace, there’s going to be difficulty separating the past from the present, and there’s not a lot of balance between their spiritual and physical lives. They either reject the spiritual to embrace the material world, or neglect their physical well-being and focus solely on their spiritual self.
You know how some people use their trauma as an excuse to inflict pain on others? This person’s the opposite of that, everything they’ve gone through has made them a patient, compassionate person. This will probably be one of the first things you notice about them, how kind they are. They are also very dependable, they’ve experienced going through hard times alone and don’t want anyone else to feel like they have to.
Overall, they come across as a very good human being, but there’s an underlying tiredness to them. They might be dealing with a little bit of brain fog, so at times they’re slow to process the world around them.
hi friends! today i’m doing a reading for this individual who requested mark’s ideal type and what he’d be like as a boyfriend. as usual you guys know the drill feel free to send me requests (but please make sure you read and understand the guidelines first) with that being said, let’s get started!
DISCLAIMER: this is all speculative and for entertainment purposes only, so take it with a grain of salt :)
decks used: modern witch tarot, archetype cards by caroline myss, heavenly bodies astrology, the wild unknown animal by kim krans
(italicised is the card on the bottom of the tarot deck which is meant to represent the subconscious/blind spot of the situation + rx means reversed)
Tumblr media
IDEAL TYPE
4 of pentacles, the star, 6 of pentacles rx, knight of swords | guide, mother, rabbit, sagittarius: optimism, exploration and freedom
for the 4 of pentacles as the first card mark wants someone who’s takes a bit of effort to get to know, this means that he’s probably interested in those who are quite private as his aries moon, scorpio mars and leo sun finds intrigue in someone who isn’t easily read since to him it’s like a “challenge” and there’s gratification in him working for their affection, this can also mean mark’s interested in someone who’s very smart with money and thinks practically long term. i feel he’s attracted to those who are a bit of an enigma and has a unique charm to them since the star card represents the eccentric aquarius energy, this card can also represent mark wants someone who looks beautiful in his eyes as virgo venuses are notorious for being picky and he really appreciates/observes the minute details of an individual so it’s unsurprising to me if he wants someone that adheres to his visual standards, i think he likes someone who comes across more conservative/unassuming initially but once you get to know them they’re a whole other person. the 6 of pentacles rx card tells me he wants someone who’s more action oriented and helps people out without expecting to be reciprocated, this card and the star card together definitely describes someone who’s more of a humanitarian and has the ability to take care of others before themselves and has pure intentions with whatever they believe in/do. with the knight of swords at the bottom, this definitely emphasises the action-oriented point i discussed but it can also talk about someone who’s very ambitious and driven especially regarding the work they do, his ideal type is definitely someone who takes matter into their own hands and doesn’t wait for opportunities cause they make it happen with their ambition and work-ethic.
as much as mark wants someone who’s very enthusiastic the guide card tells me mark’s ideal type is someone who listens to their intuition/gut feeling and acts on that, this is due to the fact that mark’s aries moon is the same way. it makes me feel that mark wants someone very decisive and has a certain “depth” to them since the guide card represents the nature of the divine in life and in yourself and mark’s a scorpio mars after all. the mother card talks about someone who’s a nurturer, patient and has unconditional love, mark’s a virgo venus but it’s in retrograde which means he could sometimes struggle expressing his love to others and even to himself which is why he wants someone to “learn” these skills from, he wants someone to guide him to be able to nurture himself and others. the rabbit card describes someone who’s sensitive, a problem solver and a good listener, since mark’s (cancer) mercury and (virgo) venus are both in retrograde it’s possible he often struggles with word vomit and his aries moon could occasionally cloud his judgement since it’s ruled by the planet of aggression, mark wants someone who’s able to gently talk him through his problems and offer solutions, the rabbit card also reminds me of the “purity” of the star card. the sagittarius card echoes the humanitarian sentiments earlier, mark wants someone who’s inquisitive and driven towards their goals as sagittarius rules higher learning/long-term travel, he definitely wants someone who’s cultured and is always learning something new wether that’d be something practical or a hobby.
AS A BOYFRIEND
the empress, queen of swords, knight of cups, the hierophant | networker, exorcist, hummingbird, air: open mindedness, objectivity and learning
mark definitely leans more towards a nurturer energy with the empress card but since his venus is in retrograde he can struggle with expressing it, i feel his main love language is non-verbal and it’s unsurprising to me that he wants to take care of others since the sign of virgo represents servicing others. queen of swords tells me mark definitely prioritises communication in a relationship, although he doesn’t have any air placements his venus is ruled by mercury the planet of communication, with the empress card and this card together he definitely will always be there to lend an ear if his partner needs, he’ll be open to listen to their problems and be there to console them with a hug if needed, with this though mark’s very independent and sometimes can come off as demanding when he doesn’t mean to be so if his s.o tries to control him he’s not gonna like that which is why he wants an s.o who’s very patient. the knight of cups tells me mark’s gonna be ultra romantic in a relationship, he definitely wears his heart on his sleeve and can be the type to romanticise every little thing his partner does, deep down mark loves cheesiness in relationships and will definitely remind how special his partner he is to him once committed. the hierophant tells me he wants stability, mark’s most likely very traditional and gentlemanly and this reiterates my point of mark being a hopeless romantic as this card is represented by taurus, venus’ ruler. he’s probably gonna be quite slow when it comes to pursuing someone as he wants to 100% make sure he wants to be involved, i think he’s definitely the type to ask others what they think and get a second opinion on his person.
networker card tells me mark loves interacting with others and would possibly be the type to introduce his partner to those around him when he’s ready, i feel he loves the idea of his family/friends getting along well with his partner. the exorcist tells me mark’s very religious/spiritual and wants someone who has pure intentions cause it encourages him to be the best person he can be, i feel mark has done a lot of reflection and he wants someone to be the same and is able to conquer their own fears. hummingbird and the air card comes hand-in-hand as both cards illustrate someone who’s very inquisitive and loves to learn, mark’s a person who radiates enthusiasm and positivity which is why i feel he wants someone to be able to match his energy, i also think whenever mark communicates with someone and he feels they “click” he’s more comfortable on showing a part of himself that he doesn’t usually show, also i do feel he wants someone to be able to broaden his perspectives.
that is all! if you have any feedback, comments, queries or requests please don’t hesitate to reach out to me my ask box is always open. sending you all love, light, positivity and abundance <3 much love
A new tarot deck, my first bought and in my possession. I use tarot as a gateway to inner spiritual awareness and understanding of emotions.
This deck -- The Wild Unknown Pocket Tarot by Kim Krans -- attracted me with the art of the Six of Wands, pictured on the far left, and the not-pictured Daughter of Swords, which features an owl. On opening it and reading the guidebook, it seemed to me to be a very grounded deck, with its emphasis on nature and animals in the artwork. I like the small nature of the cards, and chose it over the larger version purposefully. My first observations in how it differs from other tarot decks is that it uses a ‘family’ in place of the court cards. Those are usually designated as Page, Knight, Queen, and King, but here are called Daughter, Son, Mother, and Father. It also hews closer to pagan symbols in its usage of moons and pentacles, the first in additional imagery, and the second for the suit. This deck also does not provide reversed meanings, instead providing cards that come with negative connotations built in to their reading.
The spread you see here, which I laid down right to left instinctively, is the Fool’s Journey, a spread for interviewing and getting to know the deck. Each card has its own question to be asked.
Ten of Pentacles
1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
The Ten of Pentacles signifies material and spiritual abundance in nearly every area of your life.
As I thought, a grounded deck, one that wants to bring a sense of wholeness to my life. Also, very confident of showing me what I will need to know.
Four of Pentacles
2. What are your strengths as a deck?
Yet underneath the surface this is a card of warning: do not become possessive or controlling.
I must be open-minded and accepting of how I take the information that is given to me, otherwise it could turn against me.
The Magician
3. What are your limits as a deck?
The Magician is a card of boundless, expansive energy.
No limits, then. A very promising and surprising answer, since I’ve never drawn this card before, to the best of my knowledge.
Six of Cups
4. What are you here to teach me?
The roots of years past are alight with color and vibrancy...look back upon them, get lost in your memories.
I must rely on myself and my experience, to be guided by it, but also remain hopeful, because this card refers to the years of childhood. This means a lot to me right now, because of how I’ve felt I’ve lost a lot of that specific type of hope.
The World
5. How can I best learn and collaborate with you?
So when this card appears, contemplate for a moment the idea of “being whole.”
To me, wholeness means healing and integration, so I should approach readings with an eye to information that is contained in one, not divided into separateness. A deck that seeks to help me be whole is overall one that I can rely on.
Six of Wands
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
The Six of Wands is a card of victory, of rising up against the odds ... Where will you go with your new set of wings?
Successful victorious change is another good promise. I’ve never had a spread be this positive before, or so bold. I like it.
Hello! I don’t really know how tarot works, but this sounds fun, so if you don’t mind, this would be cool! I’m okay with either method!!
Of course! No problem at all- I decided to do a Celtic Cross for you, since it gives you more information and maybe you can decide if it's applicable or not.
I'll admit, your reading surprised me. I have honestly never drawn so many major arcana before and trust me I shuffled very well.
Tumblr media
Celtic Cross utilizes 10 cards representing different things.
"Heart of the Matter" or the main focus of the reading: Wheel of Fortune (holy crud)
Opposing forces to the main focus: The Hermit (also a surprise)
Root Cause of the matter (generally 6 months to a year in the past): Ace of Pentacles
Influences from past (up to 6 months prior): 2 of Wands
Goal: 6 of Wands REVERSED
Future potential if nothing changes: Father of Swords
Self Image/You: The Moon
Resources and external influences: Son of Wands
Hopes and Fears: 10 of Swords REVERSED
New Directions/Final Outcome if change: Mother of Swords
First impressions: You have a lot of swords and wands. Swords signify strife or conflict as a suit, as well as the presence of rationality and intellect. The presence of Wands signifies change or the high potential for change. BUT, the presence of the major arcana itself tends to indicate that the answer to Querent's question is largely controlled or influenced by other people.
1. The main focus is the Wheel of Fortune, signifying the sways of life. The good and the bad as it comes- and the presence of good luck. This itself could very easily suggest your current question or inquiry is about your future, or about how life will be. Will it be always bad? Will it be good? Is it going to stay this way forever?
2. Your opposing force is The Hermit, which tends to symbolize the presence of guidance or wisdom provided for you. With this alongside the Wheel of Fortune, you may be questioning your future or how life will occur (will it be good or bad) based on information presented to you currently. Maybe you want something dearly, or long for something and information and advice constantly point you the other way. You're torn between optimism or pessimism for the future based on knowledge of the present.
3. The root cause is the Ace of Pentacles, meaning the beginning or start of prosperity and wealth. Maybe the original problem stemmed from sudden prosperity or great luck, and now this luck or whatever blessing and privilege you had is now coming to an end.
4. Influences from the past: 2 of Wands, this tends to mean some sort of success in recent times. You've had good luck, or success in your grades or business or money or whatever it is. You've been blessed.
5. Goal: 6 of Wands REVERSED (reversals are opposite meanings): the reversal suggests your goal is a failure or bad news. Whatever outcome others presume of you (because you have so many major arcana your question is influenced by external people) or whatever goals they have for you, you don't want. You don't want to follow the wishes of others, despite your recent fortune. You don't want to follow their guidance and dearly hope somehow to fail or to come to a different outcome.
6. Future if no change: Father of Swords, a responsible analytical card tying into justice and fairness. Your future is fair, there is no reason to deny or argue it. The outcome is not one influenced by love or emotion or desire, it is one that is equal to the effort you present to it, and not driven by your personal desire. It is a paternal card, with close ties to relationships or families.
7. You: The Moon. You view yourself as deception, ridden with unanticipated errors or flaws. A darkness that others aren't aware of that may jeopardize things or hurt others. You view your self-image either as a lie, or perhaps you think you yourself are a lie to others. The moon is vivid creativity and darkness, imagination that is wild and unknown and equal parts dreams and fears. You are riddled with anxiety and self-doubt.
8. Resources external to you: Son of Wands, a young lover and a messenger. A friend or ally who shares a kindred spirit or perhaps is a source for you to provide your fears and anxieties. They are your messenger and can carry your word to others and be your help.
9. Hopes and Fears: 10 of swords REVERSED (ohhh boy did you luck out, this card always gets me). This card generally indicates misfortune pain and absolute ruin. Something must change or you will struggle and implode on what you fear most. BUT, this card is reversed, so it acts as the opposite for your hope. You hope for the best- for healing and comfort and growth but fear desperately that this will not be possible.
10. Final outcome if a change occurs: Mother of Swords, she symbolizes a strong character, a determined sense and personality that is often in link with fortune and success. It is not a card of love or emotion, but one of rationality and analytical thinking. If a change occurs, you will proceed forward with the well-calculated steps that ultimately will lead to not financial gain, but a sense of personal satisfaction and achievement. This card is often associated with younger people going through a difficult time, but this time allows you the opportunity to truly criticize and recognize the errors around you. And fix them.
Tarot and how I use it
Figured it was finally time for a tarot master post
What is tarot?
Tarot cards are a divination tool, often used by pagans, wiccans, and other people who practice witchcraft. Tarot cards are (usually) used by asking a question/thinking about a situation, and laying out cards in a layout appropriate to the situation (you can use ones other people have made, but you can make your own spreads too), and every position in the layout represents a different aspect of the question or situation. For example:
Tumblr media
This is a spread in which the first card represents the past, the second card represents the present, and the third card represents the future. There are many different layouts. I'll post some in the future!
The Arcana: Major and Minor
Tarot cards are split into Major and Minor Arcana. The Major arcana are numbered 0 - 21, and the cards all have a meaning that correlates directly to the name of the card. For example, the Death card means the end of a cycle and change. The Minor Arcana are split into suits. The most common suits in the Minor Arcana are Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands. Within the suits, the cards are numbered from Ace - 10 and there are four court cards per suit, generally labelled Page, Knight, Queen, and King, although in the Wild Unknown tarot deck, the court cards are Daughter, Son, Mother, and Father. The Cups represent feelings, emotion, intuition, and creativity. Pentacles represent finances, work, and material possessions. Swords represent thoughts words, and actions. Wands represent energy, motivation, and passion.
Cleansing tarot decks
Theres loads of different ways to cleanse a tarot deck. There's plenty of cleansing rituals, but I would recommend doing your own research on that, because I don't tend to do full rituals to cleanse my deck, so I don't know much about them. My favourite ways to cleanse a deck are by using white sage or white sage incense, or deck knocking. To cleanse with sage, just run the cards through the smoke. To knock on the deck, all you have to do it put the deck down on a surface (table, floor, etc...) and knock on it like the deck is a door. Knocking just knocks out bad vibes and spirits and all of that, it's the easiest and quickest way to cleanse a deck. If you're only going to use knocking as your cleansing method, I'd recommend doing it before every reading.
I'll add more to this post when I have time but I just wanted to get this posted today because I've had in my drafts for months
Decks I have:
The Wild Unknown tarot by Kim Krans
The Rider-Waite tarot
The Bastards Tarot by Emerson Barrett and Emery Elizabeth
Valentine 2021 Tarot Spread- Sagittarius ♐
Tumblr media
I used the wild unknown tarot deck for this reading.
Tumblr media
Sagittarius: A heartbreaking truth will have to be faced.
Mother of Wands- This is not a “love” card. Although you mean no harm to your S.O. you are wrapped up in your own life right now. Your aspirations are your number 1 priority. I feel like you may be coming off bossy and commanding in your pursuit in whatever your after. I feel you are putting too much pressure on your partner to want the same things you want. You feel like this person completes you. Perhaps they do but the higher level of commitment is wigging them out.
Five of Swords- If there ever was an infidelity card, this would be it. You can not trust your partner or their motives. They are likely to cheat on you. They have a roving eye. It can also mean they are taking advantage of you. This is not a 50/50 relationship. You're the giver and your partner is a taker. If they haven’t displayed this behavior yet, they soon will.
Father of Cups- This card is all about a female who wants to settle down with their partner. However you can assign the roles for how they fit into your relationship. I feel with the person is you Sag with the cards listed above. You're looking for marriage or a serious commitment here. Having a family is very important to you. This may be what you’ve been pressuring your partner about mentioned above. I don’t think your partner is ready for this. However I think you find this person exciting and you both have fun together when commitment isn’t being mentioned.
Ten of Pentacles- The traditional family values you have are holding your partner back. You both don’t want the same things. There may be a negative family member on either of your family’s side making matters worse. Your culture or desire are too restrictive to your partner. Take the time to consider if it’s best if you stay with this person. Especially if they’ve run into the arms of another over this situation.
What is coming for me in the next month? | Timeless Reading
This tarot card reading looks at the energies that will be in play in the next 30 days for you. It is a timeless reading. When you cross paths with this reading, your 30 days starts now.
Take a deep breath, and let your intuition guide your choice of piles. Whichever one feels right, or feels like it is grabbing your attention, is the right one. You might also try hovering your hand over the screen, and seeing if any of the cards feel warm.
Tumblr media
Pile 1, amethyst cluster
Pile 2, milky quartz
Pile 3, rose quartz
Decks used: The Golden Thread Tarot, The Wild Unknown Tarot, Moonology Oracle Cards
As always, because this is a collective reading, take what resonates and leave the rest.
Readings are behind the break!
Pile 1, amethyst cluster
Tumblr media
Your cards: Death, III of Wands, The Emperor, Mother (Queen) of Cups, The Emperor, Ace of Cups.
Oracle: Waxing Crescent Moon
A big change is coming for you, but don’t be afraid of it. You are safe and protected (with two Emperors to watch over you!). This change will bring positive things into your life. This change might be something that you have been working on manifesting. If so, hold on to hope. You should see payoff this month. This could be an emotional month. Change is often emotional, and it is our nature to resist it and seek the comfortable known. But blessings lie along this new path that is opening up to you. For some of you, this change will be a new relationship coming into your life. This might be a romantic relationship, but I am sensing that for most of you it will be some kind of career-related relationship, perhaps a new boss or a new mentor. This person, or perhaps two people, will be strong-willed and protective, but could become overbearing. Don’t lose sight of the ambitions that have carried you to this point. The cards are advising you to prepare yourself for this big change—but to be excited for it. This new cycle serves your highest purpose. Focus your energy on what you want to manifest.
Please leave a comment if your reading resonated with you!
Pile 2, milky quartz
Tumblr media
Your cards: IV of Wands, VI of Wands, Fool, Daughter (Page) of Wands, Son (Knight) of Cups, IV of Pentacles
Oracle: Blue Moon
If you picked this pile, you are probably someone who has a very free-spirited nature, who walks their own path with determination. You act first and consider consequences later. You might be a fire sign, or have someone in your household or inner circle who is. In the next month, you can expect to see the rewards of all of the work you have been putting in. This means a time of peace and celebration for your community, recognition of your hard work, and financial stability. That recognition of your work might be public, or it might be just one person who tells you that they notice and appreciate the things you are doing. All of these things might sound really impossible to you right now, because you’re in a rocky place. But believe in the impossible! By the end of the next month, you will feel like you have a fresh start. This is the end of a period of hardship, and the start of an exciting new chapter. You have a lot of creative energy this month. You will be full of new ideas. These cards say: follow your creative heart. Like the Fool, you must be wary of having your head too much in the clouds. But if you trust yourself and believe in your creativity, abundance awaits you.
Significant numbers: 4, 14, 44
Please leave a comment if your reading resonated with you!
Pile 3, rose quartz
Tumblr media
Your cards: The World, Queen of Wands, V of Pentacles, Hierophant, The Hanged Man, Daughter (Page) of Cups
Oracle: Full Moon in Aquarius, New Moon in Taurus
Group three, you have to let yourself ask for help. You have a tendency to try to be everything to everyone, but if you just keep pouring out of your cup you will soon find it is empty. I sense that for some of you, you have learned this lesson recently. There might have been a conflict or upheaval in your life that has left you feeling too drained to move. Reach out. There is help available to you this month, and if you can find the courage to ask for it, prosperity lies ahead. This help could be financial, or it might be emotional or spiritual. You may have reached a point in your education or career where you are realizing you need a mentor to grow into your fullest potential. If you have been considering therapy or counseling, now is a good time to pursue that further. You are someone who puts on a mask of happiness and stability for others. In the next month, try to find a way to become more authentic. No one is an island—we all need other people. Reach out and accept help. There is a new, genuine and lasting stability and fulfillment available to you if you can do so.
Please leave a comment if your reading resonated with you!
I did a planetary tarot spread and got the most wonderful results.
Here are the questions behind each card, and the interpretation of my cards’ meanings from the book that came with them.
The Sun What do people first notice about me? 6 of Pentacles The six of pentacles indicates that your long-awaited fruits are ready for harvesting, bringing more wealth than anticipated. Make sure you are generous during this bountiful time. This card can also signify generosity coming from someone else. If this is the case, accept the help with grace and put the resources to good use.
The Moon What emotions do I feel the strongest? 6 of Wands From the dark and tangled branches emerges a butterfly. New life takes flight. If you’re not reveling in the joy of success already, you will be soon. The six of wands is a card of victory, of rising up against the odds. The obstacles have been relentless, but now is not the time to look back upon them. The more pressing question is: where will you go with your new set of wings?
The Earth What makes me a stable person? 7 of Swords Six swords hang in plain view, while the seventh is tucked under the sly fox’s tail. So goes the story of the seven of swords… a secret is being kept. You’re either the keeper or the kept-from, and it’s time to identify which. Deceit and avoidance linger in the air. Face the cause of secrecy or risk ostracizing yourself.
Mercury How do I intellectually connect with others? 4 of Cups An outsider would look upon your life and see supportive relationships, pleasures, and even a bit of luxury. But you don’t see it that way. Instead, there’s discontent, apathy, and even greed for more. The four of cups warns not to take your situations for granted, or the people who supported you along the way. Look around you. What are you truly longing for? Venus How do I love others in my life? 2 of Swords The two of swords depicts two opposing forces that have reached a stalemate. You cannot progress forward with either a relationship or a life decision. There’s an answer that’s being blocked – maybe by choice? Many times this card will indicate you do not wish to face the truth the light will reveal.
Mars How do I handle confrontation? Father of Pentacles The father of pentacles is a steady, gentle man. Upon first meeting he can almost seem dull because of his extremely calm temperament. But underneath is an incredibly passionate man who prioritizes the stability of his job, family, and home. He is entrepreneurial and diligent at work. A true pleasure to know.
Jupiter How do I handle my financial life? 9 of Pentacles Always a welcome card, the nine of pentacles is a time to enjoy the many results of your loyalty and hard work. This may be a promotion at work or newfound stability and happiness at home. It’s even possible that you’ll find yourself enjoying the finer things in life, as luxury and refinement oftentimes accompany this card. Saturn How can I be more disciplined? Mother of Wands The mother of wands is a vibrant woman and happy mother. Family comes first in her world – she’s very protective of it and is the dominant parent within the home. Though proud and determined, she has enough grace and beauty that you’d hardly notice her forceful nature. Oftentimes she has overcome great pain or trauma in her life. It’s important not to get on her bad side. Uranus What restraints hold me back in life? The Moon In many ways the moon card encompasses the idea of The Wild Unknown. It is the shadow realm, the place where dreams, fears, and mysteries are born. Much darkness can linger here, and if you aren’t careful, this can lead to periods of anxiety and self-doubt… almost as though you’ve lost your way in a house of mirrors. Many great artists have roamed this inner landscape. It’s where imagination and creativity drift freely upon the midnight air. Neptune How can I show my unconditional love? The Sun Imagine for a moment that you’re soaking in the warm rays of the sun. It feels nourishing and healing; all your aches and pains just fade away. The sun card brings this amazing energy into your life. Vitality and health abound, while you feel assurance and clarity in all you do. Spend some extra time outside today, be grateful for the radiance of the sun and the life force it gives all creatures. Pluto What in my life do I need to transform? 10 of Wands The ten of wands is a difficult card to face. Mental or physical burdens have been weighing on your spirit. Over time this leads to hopelessness and depression. You simply can’t “get through” to what you want. You cannot see the way. If this card appears in response to a person or situation, it may be best to simply walk away. But if this card comes up frequently, it indicates you are attracted to negativity. You choose to walk the hard road.
Front Desk Horoscopes
by Stephanie Maltez
Tumblr media
The cards drawn up this month are from The Wild Unknown Tarot Dec & Guidebook by Kim Krans
Gemini Happy Birthday! 2 of Swords
Blocked Vision, Stalemate The Two of Swords depicts two opposing forces that have reached a stalemate. You cannot progress forward with either a relationship or a life decision. There’s an answer that’s being blocked- maybe by choice? Many times this card will indicate you do not wish to face the truth the light will reveal.
Cancer, 4 of Wands
Completion, Celebration You’ve done it! The Four of Wands is a card of completion. Your labors have been steady and strong, and the harvest will be plentiful. In other words, it’s time to party. There might be an upcoming event to mark this occasion…a graduation, wedding, or celebration of some kind. So enjoy yourself and those you love. This is an exciting and prosperous time.
Leo, 2 of Pentacles
Balance, Change The Two of Pentacles signifies inevitable change. Since the Pentacles suit relates to earthly possessions, this usually means a new job or financial situation or a move. Even if you fear this change, it needs to happen and might even be fun. Face it with the face of a newly formed butterfly…a world of possibilities balanced upon your wings.
Virgo, Six of Wands
Victory, Success, Rising Up - From the dark and tangled branches emerges a butterfly. New life takes flight. If you’re not reveling in the joy of success already, you will be soon. The Six of Wands is a card of victory, of rising up against the odds. The obstacles have been relentless, but now is not the time to look back upon them. The more pressing question is: Where will you go with your new set of wings?
Libra, The Devil
Addiction, Negativity Though it may feel frightening when the Devil appears in your reading, this card carries an urgent message and must be interpreted with total honesty. The darkness of the Devil card takes the form of addiction, negativity, or materialism. It can indicate an ugly relationship with a person or substance. Identify this dependency and how it’s holding you back. The devil’s hooves are strong and relentless – their grip will not loosen unless a conscious change is made. Free yourself.
Scorpio, Ace of Swords
Truth, Mental Clarity When lightening strikes, the whole world seems to light up for just one second. It’s as though you can “see everything,” and this vision lingers on even through the storm. Such is the power of the Ace of Swords. Your mind will become clear, your thoughts precise. It’s a great time to make those decisions you’ve been putting off.
Sagittarius, Father of Cups
Diplomatic, Open-Minded The Father of Cups has a truly unique and dynamic personality. He’s the most feminine of all the fathers within the tarot and usually a patron of the arts. He’s a dignified man who supports his family and community. The only this holding this man back are his deeply rooted insecurities; they are vast and affect his personality in many unpredictable ways.
Capricorn, The Tower
Unexpected Upheaval When The Tower card appears, it’s time to brace yourself for a change. The well-rooted tree that’s been growing strong for decades is crashing down around you. Your world may feel as though it’s literally falling apart – and you didn’t see it coming. Even though this phase is painful and confusing, it will be over soon. You’ll look back and feel grateful things changed course. You might even see it as a personal “breakthrough” in the end.
Aquarius, 10 of Pentacles
Fulfillment, Abundance The Ten of Pentacles signifies material and spiritual abundance in nearly every area of your life. The number ten usually indicates completion, and in this case the journey was well worth it. So be generous, not only with your money, but also with your wisdom. Provide guidance to those who struggle. You will be rewarded tenfold.
Pisces, Mother of Wands
Attractive, Domestic, Vibrant The Mother of Wands is a vibrant woman and happy mother. Family comes first in her world – she’s very protective of it and is the dominant parent within the home. Though proud and determined, she has enough grace and beauty that you’d hardly notice her forceful nature. Oftentimes she has overcome great pain or trauma in her life. It’s important not to get on her bad side.
Aries, Judgement
Forgiveness The word “judgement” conjures up fear and guilt in many people. This card, however, concerns itself with another aspect of this word – seeking the truth. No more blaming yourself or toehrs, no more
excuses. Now is the time for forgiveness and personal freedom. This card asks you to rise up and let pettiness and fear fall below you. Expand your wings and be reborn. What a relief it will be.
Taurus, Ace of Cups
Love’s Beginnings Aces mark the beginning of exciting new phases. Since the suit of cups deals specifically with love and emotion, you’re in for a real treat. Expect to enter a blissful time of health, joy, and friendship. A new love could be on the horizon. You may feel that you’re making a whole new start…just go with it and allow this feeling to revitalize your spirit.
This morning, I asked the cards "How do I embrace my spirit today?" Sometimes I forget to check in with myself, especially with everything going on. I drew the 3 of Pentacles, the Mother of Cups and the 8 of Pentacles from The Wild Unknown Tarot. 💖 In the 3 of Pentacles shows me a large mountain. Sometimes, honouring my Spirit can seem like a momentous task, almost impossible in terms of scale and size. However, I'm not alone. There are many people that help me to honour my spirit within my life, from teachers to friends and my Husband. They will walk with me as I scale the mountain of spirit and will see me clear to the other side. I have to remember that while spirit work may be solitary, it doesn't mean that I'm alone. 💖 The Mother of Cups shows me a Swan surrounded by stars. She greets me with wisdom. She is in touch with her emotions and what's more, can see into the other realms. She can see into spirit and can see how the emotions flow into spirit and flow through it, how they work in concert together. She is kind to herself and to others, embracing the full flow of emotions. This card is asking me to honour my spirit by honouring the flow of my emotions and the wisdom that they contain. 💖 The 8 of Pentacle shows me a spider working diligently on her web. She works at her craft not just because she wants to but because she needs to. The spider is driven to work her craft and has become a master of it over time with practice and with dedication. Part of honouring and embracing my spirit is to give in to when spirit calls me to write and to paint. It is following that push to create because it is like the air I breathe. 💖 I love how this reading is all about grounding myself, how the Pentacles represent the body and the connection that I have to the earth. That by taking a deeper look at my emotional connection to the earth, I am embracing my spirit. Sparkle on! 💖 #tarotreadersofinstagram #tarottribe #thewildunknown #emotions #spiritualjourney #craft #body #sparkleon #shinebright #likeadiamond #cardoftheday https://www.instagram.com/p/CGfRRBQHHmZ/?igshid=1b8fq2rrs84vf
skz reading: changbin ideal type + as a boyfriend
Tumblr media
hi friends! this is my reading for binnie so i hope you guys like this, as always feel free to send me requests (but please read my guidelines first) so without further ado lets get started :]
DISCLAIMER: this is all speculative and for entertainment purposes only, so take it with a grain of salt :)
decks used: light seers tarot, archetype cards by caroline myss, black moon astrology, the wild unknown animal by kim krans
(italicised is the card on the bottom of the tarot deck which is meant to represent the subconscious/blind spot of the situation + rx means reversed)
Tumblr media
IDEAL TYPE
6 of swords rx, the hanged man, the sun, knight of pentacles rx | athlete, mother, fire element: desire, zebra
with the hanged man i feel changbin wants someone who’s a little bit eccentric and naturally stands out from the crowd just like the qualities of his sun’s sister sign aquarius. i feel that although his ideal type is somewhat a trendsetter they’re unaware of the fact that they have this effect on people as exhibited by the 6 of swords rx, also since it’s in reverse i feel bin’s person can be a bit of a loner and is often misunderstood by others which on the contrary makes changbin interested cause he’s drawn to their unique vibe. his ideal type could also be the person who seems intimidating at first as their eccentricity often throws people off but, his type is definitely someone who’s contemplative while also being a creative as the hanged man usually describes someone who’s able to see things in a different perspective and provide solutions to challenging problems and unafraid to take the lead. the sun tells me changbin wants to be with someone who can match his level of passion and positivity as i can definitely see him wanting to be with a s.o who he can be childish with, since his sun and moon are both in leo its unsurprising he wants someone who is able to reflect his level of optimism. with the hanged man + sun card as well i feel his ideal type could be someone who’s known for their optimism or known for their wisdom but in a more positive different perspective kind of way, also these two cards definitely indicate someone who’s more carefree and individualistic. with the knight of pentacles rx i feel that although his ideal type has a carefree positive type he wants someone who has a very high level of self-discipline, his leo placements want someone who’s very lively and outgoing but his virgo venus definitely wants someone who is stable and pays a lot of attention to details who could also be a perfectionist. virgo venuses tend to have very high standards for their partners so its unsurprising to me that deep down bin wants someone who is very disciplined.
athlete card tells me he could possibly prefer those with a more athletic body type or someone with an again very disciplined mindset just like athletes. the mother card tells me changbin looks for a nurturing figure, so i feel although he looks for someone who can be a bit childish (in a good way) he still wants someone with maturity who is able to take care of themselves, changbin and others. the fire element is unsurprising as he pulled the sun card (which is ruled by leo) and the hanged man (which is jupiter’s co-ruler) so he definitely wants someone as passionate as him. the zebra card describes someone who is enthusiastic, creative and a visionary which reinforces the points i made regarding the hanged man card earlier.
AS A BOYFRIEND
10 of swords, page of wands, king of wands, temperance | poet, teacher, pluto: transformation, bat
i feel like as a boyfriend changbin could be someone who’s initially detached or shy (due to his virgo venus) in the relationship but as it progresses he shows his more passionate side. 10 of swords is a card that deals with heartbreak/betrayal and usually in a case for a virgo venuses they tend to idealise an image for their s.o and if their s.o doesn’t adhere to that image they start feeling heartbroken and distant, although if this isn’t his case it could be that changbin’s work is the obstacle that is causing him to be distant to his partner without meaning to but virgo venuses in general tend to approach love in a different way and this is embodied by the 10 of swords. with the page of wands and king of wands though it can definitely describe someone who has two contrasting but consistent sides when it comes to love, the page card describes someone who’s sort of a free spirit yet the king card represents a leader so i feel when in a relationship changbin could often switch between the two energies, he is consistent when it comes to expressing his love though as it’s probably in a more bashful way represented by the wands but he could often come from two different sides depending on his mood, so one day he could be the nurturer yet on another day he could possibly want to be nurtured. the temperance card is even more fire energy lol it’s represented by sagittarius so it could be said that deep down changbin is a forward thinker and often thinks about his future, it could be that his love often comes and goes as it’s very hard to tie down fire energy since it’s so dynamic. i feel deep down as a boyfriend changbin is very patient and balanced but could also be the type to be impulsive at times.
i feel his love language is definitely a bit unorthodox and could either be words of affirmation or acts of service. with the poet card changbin’s could express his love through music or poetry whereas the teacher is definitely giving me very strong virgo/sag vibes. with the pluto card it tells me that once changbin falls he falls very hard and he could be very intense in relationships and struggle with codependency issues. changbin’s mars is in scorpio which is pluto’s ruler and i feel that changbin’s intensity is often hidden as he doesn’t want to overwhelm the other person but he definitely is into the “merging of the souls” type love. the bat also represents plutonian energy as these people are described to be very attached to the past and finds it difficult to let go, i feel though changbin is definitely someone who is very loyal and will go through thick and thin for his s.o once he falls for them.
that is all! if you have any feedback, comments, queries or requests please don’t hesitate to reach out to me my ask box is always open. sending you all love, light, positivity and abundance <3 much love
3. A Turning of the Wheel ~ The Bridge Spread
Mabon, a signifier of the wheel turning toward shorter days and longer nights, always makes me feel like things can begin anew. Some may think this is backward, and that it is more of a “winding down” period, but to me it is a time when things can start over, can begin again. I always find autumn to be a time of energy and change, rather than one of preparing for sleep or silence. It is in this vein that I have adapted A Little Red Tarot’s Bridge Spread. I have left off the 10th position, “a guiding star”, by accident initially, but looking at it now I am alright with that, as it doesn’t really play into what I wanted or needed to know in terms of this spread. Others may find it useful, however for me it didn’t detract or add anything to the reading.
Positions: 1. You, where you are right now (center) 2. The shore you left behind (far left) 3. A lesson you learned (second from left) 4. Something that has helped you (third from left) 5. Your next step (right of center) 6. A lesson you must learn (second to the right from center) 7. The shore you are heading for (far right) 8. The ‘water’ below you – this represents the emotional journey you are making, the feelings (perhaps unconscious) that are flowing beneath the current situation and the steps you are taking (bottom) 9. A source of support to you – this is something external to yourself, for example a person/relationship or a special place, which will help you to take that next step (sideways across center 1 and right of center 5)
I was sitting at the dining table, The Harmaleighs playing on my portable speaker, cats dozing in random places, and Amber Resin burning in the incense holder. It had been a busy weekend, and I was finally sitting quietly, taking time to myself and able to breathe without feeling like I had something more to do. I shuffled slowly, using The Wild Unknown, hand over hand, as always. Clearing my mind, letting go of the busyness, the heightened energy from the day, I then split the deck into threes, again I shuffled hand over hand, split the deck, hand over hand, and then began the reading once I felt I didn’t need to shuffle any longer. I pulled with intention, but was not heavy with my emotions or expectations. I wished for the cards to deliver some insight, but was less apprehensive about the reading than I have been in the past.
1. You, where you are right now: The Magician 2. The shore you left behind: IX of Swords 3. A lesson you learned: Ace of Swords 4. Something that has helped you: Mother of Cups 5. Your next step: VI of Swords 6. A lesson you must learn: Judgement 7. The shore you are heading for: The Devil 8. The ‘water’ below you – this represents the emotional journey you are making, the feelings (perhaps unconscious) that are flowing beneath the current situation and the steps you are taking: Ace of Pentacles 9. A source of support to you – this is something external to yourself, for example a person/relationship or a special place, which will help you to take that next step: VI of Cups
The Magician “You have the power of all four elements within your reach”. This pull was quite apt, it is a card signifying action. I took it to be representative of my current mindset; I have been quite goal oriented for the past few weeks, with end results in mind, and concrete plans for getting there. As a card full of energy, I felt that it fit perfectly with where I stand at the moment.
IX of Swords “Deepest shadows of the self... worries in the midnight hour”. This draw felt really spot on as well as the shore that I’ve left behind, for I had been feeling very down and frustrated, worried about all sorts of things; relationships, sports, being unable to affect any sort of change.
Ace of Swords The lesson I learned after leaving the shore- one of truth and making decisions I had been putting off. I think this was very clear as well, for I realized that nothing would change unless I made the changes myself. The lesson here was that only I can make the choice to change, and that I would be my own biggest obstacle.
Mother of Cups This draw was a bit difficult to discern; the Mother of Cups is characterized by insight, but also that you see yourself as the victim when distressed. After thinking about it, I can see how I felt I was “a victim” in some aspects of my life, not so much in the way that I was being victimized, but rather the powerlessness of victimhood. Perhaps this was the best card the deck was able to show me in relation to that feeling. By feeling powerless, I was forced to take action, so the powerless feeling helped me move forward and make decisions I may not have otherwise.
VI of Swords The next step upon the way is one of rest and revitalization. I believe I am currently in this step, or nearing the end of it. I took some time away from sports, and it has helped me view things from the outside. This card also tells you to surround yourself with joyful friends, but since my circle is quite small, I took this more in the vein that I need to surround myself with people at work and during sports that are positive and helpful, rather than negative or cruel.
Judgement This card always gives me pause, likely just from the word itself because it is bound up in all sorts of negativity and heaviness. But it is a card that signifies forgiveness and seeking the truth. It also means to let go; let go of pettiness, let go of placing blame and seeking out people responsible for things. It really does no one any good to search those things out. One thing I have picked up upon the way is that people are not against you, but rather they are for themselves. And so really, unless someone is going out of their way to be unkind, it doesn’t really make sense to place blame or point fingers and say that they have done you wrong. Often times it is done unintentionally, and sometimes we just need to speak up when things happen, to connect rather than push people away. This will be a difficult lesson to learn, and I do not expect it to be easy.
The Devil This is another card that causes me to cringe a bit, because it is generally a card of negativity. But I took time to think about it, and about what it may mean in context, and I think it is less negative and more in the spirit of thrusting a situation or experience into the light and forcing you to look at the ugly parts you tried to hide in the shadows. For me, this falls into the category of relationships, and the negative spin they have and their effect on my life. I can no longer feed the fire of negativity at work, which may or may not affect the friendships I have cultivated here. But honestly, if a friendship is based upon complaint and negativity, what purpose does that serve? I think this card also causes me to look at the relationship my partner and I have with each other when it comes to sports; we cannot keep feeding the negativity that lessens our enjoyment, or else what is the point? We will need to curb this, and combat it with action. I will have to remember to take care with this, and move slowly for her sake.
Ace of Pentacles The underlying emotion of this wheel turn is one that characterizes the beginning of a prosperous venture. I am taking this to mean that the undercurrent of everything is a positive change, and that this is the beginning of all of that. I feel that I am making changes and choices that will affect my life positively, and that I will be happier and more productive, and enjoy my life more.
VI of Cups This may be the only card that really perplexed me throughout this reading, and one I cannot really see. But since it is something that may occur in the future, as a source of support to help me reach my next steps, perhaps that makes sense. This card is one that calls upon the memories of childhood and the roots of the past. This card signifies that an old friend may resurface. And since this card is in the position of an individual that may help me take the next step on my journey, I am interested to see who appears as seemingly out of the blue.
Overall, I am pleased with this reading. The cards drawn are all very pertinent and fitting, and I was able to discern their meanings (for the most part). I am less anxious about using this deck to gain insight into my realm, and I am incredibly appreciative of the understanding it has given me. As relayed in the Interview Spread, the deck was very focused on relationships in terms of the insight given, and I was a bit taken aback by the ability of the deck to relay information about the relationship that I have with myself. I am not upset by this, but it was definitely not something I really thought about. This Bridge is one of change, and excitement as well. It is also one that reminds me to be realistic, to walk before I run.
Day 8 of #MonthofSpreads Book vs. Intuition
I remember first starting out and very much relying on the book. It really made me feel fake. I would get upset because its like “what the heck why can’t i just get it.” I even considered to stop reading because I felt like I was fake, but my cards told me to keep going. And now I use my intuition (but still look at the book now and then) and feel great. Take all the time you need when learning Tarot.
What area of my life needs the most focus right now? 9 of Cups Intuitive message: The time I spend doing the things I love. Also can be called me leisure time. Book meaning: key words are bliss and harmony. “Worries and fears will be cast away.” Comparison: Both speak to a happy time. I mean doing the things I love usually means worries and fears will be cast away.
Is there anything potentially holding me back from succeeding in this area of my life? Mother of Pentacles Intuitive message: I need to take some time out for myself and take care of my needs and wants. It’s important to do your duty, but also important to be happy and healthy. Book meaning: Domestic, Loving, Patient Talks about how she sometimes can be overly tending to children and becoming needy/attached. Comparison: The book talks about more of a person/identity. But I feel both touch on the mother of pentacles being domestic and needing to take care of herself.
What small step can I take to start improving this area of my life? King of Cups Intuitive message: Not gonna front, but the King of Cups is still something of a mystery to me. But I am going to say that I should do the things that bring me joy. Or try to incorporate it into my daily life. Book meaning: Diplomatic. Open minded. Basically he loves the arts and is a lil insecure. Comparison: There is a difference. Again the book is more personality traits and I was tapping into the water/fire aspect of the King of Cups. So a different way of going about things.
Deck: the Wild Unknown
hey natalie! could i get a reading on how this school year will go?
Disclaimer: As with all tarot readings, my readings are for advice purposes. I cannot tell you when, where, or how. I can only tell you what the cards say may happen or how your goals may be achieved. Your path is your own, you may choose to follow or ignore my reading. A negative reading does not always signal bad things or a negative outcome, it may simply mean there are obstacles or challenges in the way of your desired outcome.
Hello!I did a three card “future” spread for you.
The first card represents what is in your immediate future: I drew the Queen of Pentacles (called the Mother of Pentacles in my Wild Unknown deck). This card represents practicality, material security, and prosperity.
The second card represents what’s in a more distant future: Here I drew the eight of wands. This card represents being busy, often in a productive and useful way. It often means you are focused on your goals and are motivated to achieve them.
The final card is a qualifier card. It represents the overall feeling of the situation: I drew the Ace of Pentacles. This card represents opportunity, prosperity, and and new adventure. You may add new activities to your life or approach new friends.
Overall the cards lead towards a positive school year for you. But remember, just because the cards say you mat be prosperous and motivated does not mean you may have hard times or situations where you feel lost.
Good luck!
I’m doing free tarot readings!
