I think Amos would have a bouquet of Cecelia flowers that never wilt in her room in the tower. Her dress was adorn with dozens of them. Its still there, in her closet. Not a single speck of dust on it while the cabinet itself has ages centuries. She wants to pluck out ever single petal, burn it all away til nothing but ashes remain. She wants to try it back on, have the world dazzle at its splendor. There were greenhouses made specifically for her, to gift her gift upon gift. It was just a number to him at the end of the day. An automatic routine. But she was human, she always has and always will be. The cecelias, once a symbol of their union, are hee friend's favorite flower. The symbol of his rebellion. The symbol of her separation. And so like her oaths, the bouquet slowly rots and her dresses will be consumed by moths.

DC Comics Characters as Mauraders

So this initially stemmed from my bi yearly harlivy brainrot session where I thought "oh my god, Dorcas and Marlene are so Ivy and Harley." Specifically Dark Knights of Steel Harlivy (I would bury an army for you) (In return you will live here with me/ In return you won't fight in the war. This again? This always) . Want me to explain- gladly. Marlene "dive in head first, my blood runs red and gold, if I go, I will drag you to hell with me" McKinnon, working for The Order and thinking "hey this is kinda sketch, I don't know if we can trust Dumbledore" and Dorcas "every acquaintance is a new connection to better myself, killed by Voldemort personally, I will slither on my stomach if it means I can slice as your Achilles tendon and watch you fall" Meadows being the Anti-Heroes needed to end the Voldemort. They know they must fight in the war, they just need to fight on their own side.

And then I thought- why stop at them. So I present, the Mauraders as DC Comics Characters:

Starting off strong, James and Lily as the Iconic Blue Boy Scout and Pulitzer Prize winning Lois Lane. Do I need to explain? The Kal-el is so James/Mirrorball coded, and if James ever became a supe, Lily Evans would be the first to know.

After this, we have Remus and Sirius as Bruce and Selina Kyle. Remus is so Bruce Wayne- an orphan with a bad experience with animals at a young age. Reserved and quiet but a commanding authority figure that eyes turn to in times of need. Like, Remus is so batman but Brucie- oh that all Remu. Remu is a cassanova that everyone has a crush on, the life of the party that drinks iced tea at Gala's and is always limping or wincing over something. Sirius, well for a second I did switch the two and have Sirius be bruce but no, Sirius is so Selina. Sirius steals diamonds from museums, knowing that he has the money and Remus could buy them if he really wanted because "well where's the fun in that Moony." (Sirius has a huge platonic obsession with Superman and when Remus makes the Justice League he is ELATED. He loves going to HQ and telling embarrassing stories to James. He even let it slip that he calls Remus Moony and now all of the Core Members do it too. He loves hates it.) (Also, Sirius is friends with Marlene in any universe and he loves that it annoys Remus a little bit. When Harley/Marlene finally joins the league, they celebrate by breaking into a new art exhibit)

After this we have Pete as Barry "I could have finished this myself but that wouldn't be as fun" Allen. Pete is kinda just at the meetings as a favor to James and doesn't understand why Batman won't just let him take care of the Joker himself. Peter is nice and always a bit confused as to what is going on. Batman used to scare him, but shortly after learning about Moony, the two started bonding over nerdy shit together.

With the Arrowverse being the origins of my love for D.C (yes, I know it isn't comic accurate, but middleschool me loved it so fuck off), I have to make Mary as Dinah. I don't know much about comic accurate Dinah- a problem I plan on rectifying in the future- but her general "I'm done with this shit" vibe is matches Mary "i'm leaving the wizarding world and not turning back".

Summary: Shortly after Gajeel joined Fairytail, you two started to get close. Everyone knew there was something between you two, but you two would never admit it. Even after everything you guys have been through.

Your P.O.V.

You’re walking in between Lily and Gajeel as you three head home from a job. It was one close to home so it was quick and easy.

“Y/N, you’re awfully quiet for us just finishing a successful job.” Lily starts

“Oh! Sorry! Just admiring the city!” You laugh “I feel like we haven’t been able to walk through town for a while without people gushing over us.”

“Ever since we won the Grand Magic Games.” Gajeel chuckles

“Ever since you and the team won. I had nothing to do with it.” You correct

He slightly pushes you away, quickly pulling you back toward him. You look up to see the smile on his face, causing you to smile back.

You would never tell him, but Gajeel had your whole heart. Ever since the beginning, he’s been by your side, threatening anyone who tried to get near you. That’s just the kind of relationship you guys had. You didn’t plan on telling him how you felt. Only one person knew, your best friend, Levy.

“Promise to never leave my side?” You say, nearing the guild hall

“Never. Not even the dragons or Zeref could tear you from my side.” Gajeel says, a smile of his face “Short stack.”

“Metal head.” You joke right back

“Both of you…” Lily laughs as he just shakes his head

You three were too busy laughing that you both didn’t see the purple shadow flying toward you. Feeling the thing wrap around you, you let a scream of surprise out before feeling yourself getting pulled back, harshly. You reach to grab his hand, barely missing it as he tries to grab onto you.

“Y/N!” Gajeel yells

“Gajeel!” You hear a voice cheer “Just the man I wanted to see!”

“Jose…” Gajeel growls “Put Y/N down!”

“Where would the fun be in that? It’s clear your heart has been softened by this fairy.” He taunts “What happened to hating the fairies? To being the fairy hunter you were?”

You struggle against the purple ghosts around you, trying to ignore the pain that was starting to flow through your body. You look at Gajeel and Lily, both of them prepared to fight.

“Gajeel…” you whisper

Gajeel let’s his guard down for one second, letting Jose land an attack, knocking him back into a tree. You watch as Jose throws Gajeel and Lily around, not giving them a chance to get up and try to fight.

“Join me Gajeel! Come back to your glory days!” Jose bellows

You feel Jose as he laughs, starting to give into the pain that this spell was giving off. You felt another ghost wrap around your throat, starting to cut your air supply off.

“Put her down!” Gajeel growls

You try to reassure him, trying to give him a fake smile as you pull at the ghost around your neck. You guys weren’t far from the guild, if you were to let Jose do this, they would eventually come and find Gajeel. That’s all you cared about.

You look back toward him, watching as Lily is in his bigger form, support Gajeel.

“Gajeel… Lily… leave. I’ll be okay.” You gasp out, already feeling yourself start to lose consciousness

“Y/N!” Gajeel yells again “Keep fighting!”

You knew this was the end, there was no way out. Jose was keeping Gajeel at a distance. Jose knew how to beat Gajeel, even if Gajeel has grown since his time in that guild.

“Gajeel… I love you.” You manage to get out before your world went black

Gajeel’s P.O.V.

I watch in horror as Y/N’s body goes limp in Jose’s shadow. Jose’s smirk on his face as he watches us.

“Should’ve never let your heart go soft.” Jose starts “It was never a good look for you my boy.”

I watch as Jose sets Y/N’a body down. My body frozen in my spot before I feel my body overwhelmed with anger.

Lily let’s go of me, my entire body turning to iron. Jose looks impressed before his smirk comes back, egging me on.

“Gajeel, we should get back to the guild. Warn everyone else.” Lily tries to reason

“I didn’t get to tell her. He deserves to pay for her life.” I growl

Lily shrinks, shaking his head. He flies towards Y/N, checking her pulse, a frown immediately seen on his face.

I glare back towards Jose, letting my body do it’s own thing. The only thing it knows how to do, fight.

Levy’s P.O.V.

I hear the doors burst open, Pantherlily standing at the door, frantically looking around.

“Lily!” Happy starts

“We need help. Jose… Jose, Gajeel’s old master. Attacked us on our way back. Gajeel needs help.” He says

“What about Y/N?” Lucy asks

Lily shakes his head, no words being able to form. Lucy looks at me as I connect the pieces. I stiffly nod, following Lily towards the sounds of fighting.

“Iron Dragon Roar!” Gajeel yells

I see the scene come into sight, Gajeel standing in front of Y/N’s body. Jose pinned to the tree, the metal holding him in one spot.

I slow down to a walk, watching as Gajeel goes back to normal, dropping to his knees as he turns toward Y/N. I see the tears streaming down his face as he slowly picks up her body, bringing it into his own.

“I love you too.” He says

~~ Time Skip ~~

I straighten out my dress, staring at the grave in front of me. The entire guild behind me, all of them crying over the loss of their friend.

“Levy, is Gajeel okay?” Lucy asks

I look at her before glancing towards the tall black haired dragon slayer in the distance.

“I don’t know.” I answer honestly “They loved each other. But never got to tell each other till it was too late.”

Gajeel’s P.O.V.

I watch as everyone leaves Y/N’s grave. Levy stops next to me, staring behind me. Her shoulder in line with mine.

“She really did love you.” She says

“I know. She told me.” I answer “Don’t go overworking yourself kid. She wouldn’t want that.”

“She wouldn’t want you distancing yourself either. She wants the best for all of us.” She reasons “Don’t be a stranger.”

She walks away as I walk more toward the grave, kneeling in front of it. My hand coming to rest atop of the stone.

“I loved you too.” I whisper “But heaven’s too far away to stay by your side short stack.”

I stand up, looking up toward the sky, taking a deep breath. The sun baring down, the warmth hitting my body as I turn around, fixing the suit jacket.

“I’ll be back.” I promise

i have these new plants that i got right before and right after my top surgery and they're both pushing out new growth after our first frost in hardiness zones they're not built for after a severe depressive episode where i neglected to care for them and i just. wow. my mental health is usually directly tied to how my plants are doing so if that could hurry up and transfer over to me that'd be great

#they are a peace lily and a purple shamrock if u want to know #i'm not good with corm/rhizome plants so these are New Adventures for me #i split the PL in two and downsized the pots #and the oxalis is struggling bc it's in a pot without a hole but it's pushing out two new heads so #the peace lillies also got attacked by bean... so they had to have some extreme hair cuts #bean is fine she's eaten staples before #i stg this cat has a stomach made of steel #they each have two new leaves coming #my post

ON PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE

-> ONCE, long before he'd decided to travel the stars there'd been a woman who'd danced waltz into his life with a coat he'd thought ill-fitting trailing behind her without a care for anyone trampled in her WAKE. Perhaps it was love at first sight, or more accurately when those gloved hands wrapped around his wrist and pulled him into following her in running from the authorities that followed her for yet another of her escapades.

He'd gone along with her smirk, allowing her to lead him on an ADVENTURE that he'd become fully engrossed in, days together turning to nights beneath the stars, weeks into months as she followed the path of her supposed destiny. He knew, of course, that it had been a spur of the moment when she'd grabbed his wrist, yet still he'd remained by her side night after night without a care. Truly, Kafka had little care for normalcy when she'd presented the twin bands with her all too familiar smirk.

They laughed when the girl who refused to give her real name revealed she'd gotten herself officiated for the occasion, demanding the right to certify it despite one being a truly wanted criminal and the other having no homeworld to speak of. It was rare he saw her smile so genuinely, yet his wife had that day, discarding the stylised contact lenses to display how genuinely she felt. Eden, Sei, had been their surprise, that man dropping her into their laps with little explanation beyond that accursed fate.

Oh his dear beloved Sei, how he felt so delighted in the moments he stole her away from being trained to teach her of the world that awaited her beyond the routine that destiny's slave dictated she be kept to, the memories he'd shared and stored for his daughter, letting those hands grasp the gem he'd become the keeper of, watching the blue light that hummed against her skin designate her as the next to bare witness to reason.

Kafka had told him, warned him, that her memories were to be taken, that their beloved Sei couldn't remember more than her, so he schemed and waited. Memory upon memory sealed inside the cane, memories of the happier moments where fate dare not dictate the outcome. And so he departed from the hunters, a pocket watch engraved with two names hidden in his breast pocket and a plan to overcome spirit whispering through machinations born for the inheritor of reason.

He'd waited, travelled the express for that destined moment when the star burst from her chest, and then he'd struck, syphoning the power and implanting the memories they'd safe guarded for their daughter without a care for the plans of others.

Gajeel and Levy, with Lily's help, were choosing a suitable name for their baby.

The exceed eventually proposed the name Steel, but Gajeel said no, as in Phantom's time, he was known as Black Steel, and people feared him.

Gajeel doesn't want his son to have that name for any reason in the world.
