I'll make my own post actually. I think it's an under appreciated detail and piece of characterisation how the courier is buried not only fully clothed but also carrying stimpaks, caps, and their weapon of choice (and we know its THEIR weapon because the game gives you whatever type of weapon you scored highest in with skills). And sure its just a game mechanic thing but they could have just as easily had Doc Mitchell say "here's some stuff of mine to help you out" but he explicitly says "here, this is all you had on you". Also I need you guys to ignore the DLC dumping all that shit on you at the start of the game okay forget about it. I know it's funny but it's not what I'm talking about
It's interesting no matter who you pin this behavior on. If it was Benny preventing the Khans from robbing the courier as they would any raider victim, then that's just another layer of him thinking he's being respectful about the ordeal. Or at the very least enjoys having power over the Khans and ordering them around.
However my headcanon is that it was the Khans who buried the courier in this way. And I say this because they bury the courier in the same way they bury Chance, another Khan whose grave you can find in game, in his armor and with his weapon. And I just think it's fun and interesting to think that these guys who, from the comic we know wanted no real part in any of this and are only here for money, laid the courier to rest in the most respectful way they knew-- like one of theirs.
And actually according to one of the trailers the couriers hands are unbound while in their grave so. And they're still fully clothed. So actually Doc Mitchell giving the courier the vault suit is more likely because he had to dispose of their og clothing because yknow. It'd be filthy from being in the ground and on the couriers comatose body (do you know what the body does when it's comatose. Trust me you don't want those clothes back) and also knowing emergency medicine the courier was probably cut out of their clothes because if you're concerned about a head/neck injury cutting clothes off is less disruptive then trying to wiggle an unconscious person out of them and possibly causing more damage.
Anyway. Either way the Khans and Benny still show more respect to the couriers "dead" body then the courier/you the player show to any of your victims I mean. How many powder gangers did you strip naked and leave to rot under the desert sun? Or legionaries? Or raiders? Or the Khans themselves? Much to think about

The Followers/Khan debate isn’t about stuffy nerds who read theory vs druggie bikers it’s about anarchist solidarity and most importantly it’s about Papa Khan and Julie Farkas recreating this photo

I know we all love Benny as a cringefail loser but does anyone else kinda wish his ingame counterpart was more like his All Roads counterpart? Like the way everyone describes him before you actually meet him is more on par with his All Roads counterpart like yeah he ambushes you in your suite and leaves after you sleep with him and was intended to come back and try to kill you after you free him from The Legion but he's honestly a cringefail loser about it all and every NPC describes him as if he was the spawn of Satan when he's actually so pathetic you can't even consider him a threat when in All Roads he was a slimey sneaky evil bastard like there's times where I forget ingame Benny and All Roads Benny are the same character given how widely different they are from each other

about volga
hes mute (autism),
loooves to draw and make paint out of questionably safe materials (autism),
really into woodcraft, mostly children toys and masks (autism)
and loves their dad very very much.
they're a bit of a rebel teenager stereotype with an UNEXPECTED TWIST where volga actually respects his elders and is a big part of his community. volga is also a furry and his super-mysterious-vigilante mask is their fursona called the bullsparrow (all rights preserved).
so yeah, volga is a certified cool guy of the young generation of khans because they're mysterious (mute) and potray themselves in an unconventional way (furry).
i kinda got too much into the jacket i forgot i had to design a character 😭 but i think its great. also the handprint on the back is bleached out by volga and is a handprint of his dad, because nicodemus loves to pat his son on the back and volga is very sentimental about it.

My headcanons on FNV characters who I think does art!!! Basically this is what I imagine different characters may like to do. I've included some of this in a fanfic of mine
1. Boone- I imagine he's a doodler. Lots of random spare time in his past led to him picking up a pen or pencil and doing little sketches in the margins or on old receipts or something. He does not consider it drawing, he doesn't consider it good, he doesn't show anyone. If you ask, it gets put away (or tossed or burned). I imagine if you get close to him, he's more lenient and might show you if you ask.
2. Pacer- I imagine he finds spray paint and markers and likes to tag Freeside with graffiti. His skills began at "Pacer was here" then eventually he got better to where he was creating a full artwork. I imagine he makes a brutal and angular NCR soldier with no face painted onto a building to look like he's storming through with his gun at the ready. It's stylized and emotional in an angry way. He probably does poke and stick tattoos too.
3. Lily knits and crochets. This might actually be canon, but I'm not certain. You better bet she knits her little pumpkin a satchel for traveling and even a blanket for road trips where you might need to lay down some bedding on the road. Se probably knits socks for Raul's cold old man feet. She probably crochets Veronica a dress too while she's at it. Oooor better yet a lacey shawl for over her dress.
4. Someone in the Great Khans is really good at ceramics due to their location and resources I bet. I don't know much about the Great Khans and the specific people, but maybe someone in Manny's family made/make the pottery for the tribe. Hell, maybe they even made ceramic bongs to go with their Chem exports. I have no clue. This is less of a headcanon, and more of just a vibe I have.

you know what? i think the NCR and the legion would both be like ultra pretentious about horses, the higher the rank of the soldier the less mutated their horse is with caesar and oliver both having if not a completely "normal" horse then a horse with the least obvious mutation.
meanwhile in the great khans camp "this is tarantella, we call im that because hes got 8 legs and does a sweet little dance when hes happy! he isnt the fastest but hes fucking STRONG, he can drag around one of those old semi trucks if he wants to. we love him, hes super sweet with the kids"

Fallout: New Vegas: Jerry the Punk
Tumblr media
Were you previously aware that if the player tells Julie Farkas that Jerry the Punk has no skills whatsoever, she will still let him join the Followers?
He will be sent on the next caravan to take inventory on the “Pre-War Unexploded Munitions Collection” back west.
Jerry the Punk is an avid poet, which is the result of the Followers bringing the tribe science, history and poetry books as a child.
You can read about Jerry and his poetry here:

I know Bethesda fucked over the devs on fallout new vegas in many ways but especially on time constraints but the so called 'multiple options' to resolving Oh My Papa fucking reeks of bias at best. You can't even politely ask Papa Khan about his history and people let alone thoughtfully. Also where in most cases you can ask someone, when they're at the crossroads of an important decision, on what they want to do at that time the courier notably can't ask Papa what he wants for his people or even suggest he consults with his advisors. All two decisions are for the sole benefit of the NCR and NCR only (if you don't side with the legion) and those spectacular choices are leave these lands or die as martyrs. :))))))))))))
