Today's the day! He's going to love it.

She hopes he loves it. 

But her hopes are so high that she's flying.

Julie would normally pause to admire the gorgeous floral displays that stand between her and the counter, but she can't. She flies there with a smile and a hummingbird heart, which smacks against the folder she's clutching to her chest. 

Reggie isn't busy, thankfully, and he welcomes her with bright eyes and a wide grin. “Julie! How can I help my favorite customer? Another tattoo collab?” 

She huffs a laugh. “Please, you give me more flowers than I pay for. And no.” 

He shrugs, as if to say touche, and then glances between her and the folder expectantly, leaning forward on his elbows.

She pushes the folder across the counter and rocks on her heels, biting her lip so she can't run her mouth. 

She'd rather let her gift speak for itself. 

His breath catches as soon as he flips the folder open. He traces the edge of pressed, then inked, petals reverently. 

“You kept—did you draw them all from memory? Did you keep—all of them?” 

“Just that one,” she admits. “I took pictures that I used for the drawing. Do you like it?”

He lets out an incredulous laugh, which finally prompts her to look at his face. 

A blush has bloomed bright and high in his cheeks, accentuated by his sweet smile and the shine in his eyes. He looks pleased. Her stomach flutters at the sight. 

Her own cheeks warm as he finally says, 

“How could I not? Julie—this is amazing.” 

“Oh,” she breathes. “Um…I'm glad. I'm glad you like it. Thank you.” 

He laughs again. “I should be thanking you! But I am curious about one thing. Why'd you go for the sunflowers I first gave you and not any of the dahlias?” 

She tears her eyes away from his sunny face, which blessedly makes it a bit easier to think, and looks back to the colorful sketch and pressed flower. They burst with as much life as she could capture. 

“It just felt…very you. And you're always giving me beautiful bouquets for the shop…I wanted to give something back. To save some of that beauty for you, I guess. Does that…make sense?” 

She cringes a little, flushing more fiercely. Explaining it sounds so weird out loud…so much for letting the gift speak for itself. She could've stopped one sentence in. 

“Anyway. Tell me to shut up at any time.” 

He snorts. A gentle hand tilts her face up. 

“I won't tell you to shut up. If that's okay?” 

That damn smile might be the death of her.

But, she thinks as she nods and he leans in, she's pretty sure that she'll die happy.

OMG the generator game me Gilmore Girls and flower shop. This seems ripe for so many things. Taylor would be insufferable about regulations

So everyone knows that either Stars Hollow attracts weird people, or if you live there long enough you become Like That.

Taylor was a little apprehensive when he heard that the building next to Doose's market was bought by a bunch of former rock stars. Okay, so they only had the one album before the lead singer blew up at the record company for not letting him have creative control, their rhythm guitarist ran off with half their songs, and the other two went 'fuck it this isn't worth it anymore'.

(Lane breathlessly tells Rory all about this when she finds up three fourths of Sunset Curve is moving to Stars Hollow.)

They also bought a big house on the edge of town, with some land.

Nobody is exactly sure who lives where. Like, do the drummer and his cute skateboarding husband live in the house and the other two live above the flower shop? Do they all live in the big house? Is the apartment above the flower shop just storage? Are they growing something illegal up there?

(Taylor tries to get up there so many times will all kinds of HOA and town bylaw nonsense and they never let him. Luke Danes encourages this. And maybe trades tips with Alex about how to further annoy Taylor.)

In fact, they all live in the big house but also sometimes above the flower shop (it's Luke's Writing Den. The suspicious activity that Taylor thinks is Weed is really just Reggie trying to breed a new type of lily. They sometimes crash there after town festivals or when one of them needs some alone time.)

Reggie is the person who mostly runs the flower shop. He likes talking to people and he likes making bouquets, he took an online class!

Some old lady eventually takes pity on him and teaches him how to do it correctly. And tells him what thorn strippers are.

Alex does most of the gardening. He finds it relaxing. Sure, not all of their flowers and plants are home-grown but it keeps him busy. He also likes taking dance classes at Miss Patty's.

Luke actually has nothing to do with the flower shop except that he hangs out there a lot. But he also does that at the music store. And at Luke's. It's very confusing to everyone for a while. Some people have started to distinguish them as 'Beanie Luke' and 'Baseball cap Luke' or 'Coffee Luke' and 'Music Luke'. Or even Luke-Luke and Luke. (Luke Danes is of course Luke-Luke and he hates it.)

Luke tries to play for tips ones and nearly comes to blows with the town troubadour.

He really likes Hep Alien though and encourages them whenever he can.

Luke (Patterson) quickly rises to Gilmore levels of 'should not have coffee but will get it anyway because he doesn't take no for an answer'. Except where Lorelai and Rory usually plague the diner in the mornings, Luke comes just before close.

Alex and Willie would go so hard for the dance marathon. Reggie would beg Luke to be his partner and they'd drop out after like two hours because Luke never actually went to bed and has been up for 24 hours straight and Reggie got distracted because someone brought their dog.

Okay but you know that in between Max and Luke, Lorelai tried to date Reggie and Lane nearly exploded because YOU COULD HAVE A MEMBER OF SUNSET CURVE AS YOUR NEW STEPPARENT RORY and Rory was like: yeah no I'm pretty sure Grandma made him cry at Friday Night Dinner and he and Mom are better off as friends.

Reggie is Very Relieved when he and Lorelai break it off after like two weeks and Diner Luke stops glaring at him and will make him hot chocolates again.

Miss Patty and Babette have this bet going who will have the longest slowburn, Luke and Lorelai or Other Luke and Reggie.

Luke and Lorelai actually win and get together first and the only one who called it was Alex.

“Hey there, Miss Butterfly,” Reggie enthusiastically greeted, referencing a portion of the design she wanted and that he helped come up with when she came in for her consultation.

Headcanon: Willie has one tiny tattoo and is super proud of it♡

He absolutely does!! And he definitely tattooed himself.

If it's canon verse then it's probably a faded stick-and-poke he did before he died, only somewhat sanitary but he felt really badass. Also it didn't get infected, you don't have to worry, Alex.

If it's a modern au then Willie either got a somewhat more sanitary stick-and-poke kit, or if they were feeling even more adventurous, a cheap tattoo gun off of Amazon. Willie did one silly little tattoo, Alex confiscated it out of fear that Willie would hurt himself (with Willie's approval, it was probably for the best) (the tattoo looks really good tho)

I'm just not sure what design it would be. I think it depends on the verse, but I definitely wanna say it would be skating related.

How about tattoos and childhood friends. I like the sound of that one.

Oooh, the muse wants to go angsty with this one. And it got surprisingly long so I'm putting it under a cut.

So, Carrie is successful with the Candies, Julie (even more) successful with the phantoms and the two of them manage to stay mostly civil whenever they're forced to interact during awards shows or whatever but everyone knows they don't really get along and that there's beef. The media tries to pry but they're both evasive.

If this isn't a shippy story, Julie is probably married to Luke by this point and she mostly tries to just ignore Carrie's existence and concentrate on her career, her husband and also whatever future plans they may have.

Carrie probably has a string of pretty but meaningless boyfriends, tbh, and I could also see her starting petty beef with the girls in her band so maybe only Kayla is left from the original crew, the other spaces taken over by new candies.

But Carrie is Fine! Everything is Great! She's gorgeous and famous and rich and lives the good life but. ... something is always telling her that she isn't good enough. That she works too hard when other people seem to never have to lift a finger for their success (which isn't true of course but you know).

But she goes to therapy (her Dad insisted) and has a moviestar boyfriend turned fiancé and she doesn't care that the media just found out that Julie is pregnant because she doesn't even want that picket fence life with five kids Julie always talked about.

And then everything starts crumbling. Her moviestar fiancé cheats on her with a costar, her Dad is diagnosed with Something (but potentially fatal) and in the hospital, and she gets into a bad fight with Kayla that has the potential to be the breaking point for their friendship and Carrie spirals out and crashes and drinks too much and she doesn't know what she did wrong! Why was she already so unhappy even when she seemed to have everything she wanted? Why is everything so terrible now?

After a bad night and a morose day, she gets into her car and starts driving and she has no idea how she ends up on the Patterson-Molina doorstep but here she is.

Julie is not happy to see her. She's in the middle of putting groceries away, and waiting for Luke to get home so they can have a nice night out before their nights will be all eaten up by the baby, and the neighbours's gardeners have been going on her nerves all day.

But. Carrie is a mess. And you don't turn away people when they're hurt. Even if they hurt you in the past.

So she invites her in and parks her at the kitchen counter with a glass of water while she continues to pack away the groceries and glances at the clock on the wall, wondering when Luke will be back and how she can get rid of Carrie.

It's awkward as hell for the both of them, Julie is bristling with old grudges and Carrie still doesn't understand what she's doing here but eventually they start talking and then they continue to talk and the more they talk the more it becomes apparent how they both suffered from losing each other as a friend.

Julie is startled when Carrie admits that she never really understood what it meant for Julie with her Mom being sick until now that she might lose Trevor and then apologises for not being there for her more.

Carrie is surprised when Julie admits just how much it hurt to lose Carrie as a friend because Carrie somehow always assumed Julie was just fine and better and more talented anyway so why would she need Carrie (hello inferiority complex masked by a superiority complex).

Julie finds she's starting to forgive Carrie. They were just teenagers after all. They knew nothing. They were trying to figure out themselves and the world.

Carrie realises she really is happy for Julie, for the doting husband and the baby and the band.

The doting husband is, btw, VERY surprised to find his wife's arch nemesis in their kitchen once he comes back, and both of the women laughing about old stories with tears in their eyes.

He ends up ordering food for the girls and sets up a boy's night so they will have more time to talk with each other (but making Julie promise she'll text him 911 if anything happens with Carrie or the baby. Julie rolls her eyes but promises.)

The night grows long, Carrie and Julie ending up outside on the patio, lounging and remembering their childhood and swapping stories of the moments since when they've felt insecure or did mistakes because neither of them is perfect actually. And that's okay.

After a lull in the conversation, Carrie sighs and takes off a wide signature bracelet she always wears and turns her wrist so Julie can see the tattoo there (I'm not entirely sure what it is, a dhalia is more Rose coded so maybe the pattern of Julie's stars and moon necklace or just a letter 'J' or something).

"I've always carried you with me, you know?"

Julie laughs and (awkwardly because pregnant) removes her shoe and sock. She has a little wrapped candy tattoo on her ankle.

"Yeah, me too."

It takes time to heal a broken friendship like that. And once the calm mood of the night has given way to the glaring sunlight of day, things return to awkwardness again but they both decide to make a conscious effort to try and heal what was broken with more understanding of who they are and who the other person is.

Their respective bands/families are surprised but try to support it although Luke, Reggie, and Alex all (independently) give Carrie a shovel talk with the gist of "we're watching you and don't hurt our girl again." Flynn is the one that takes the longest to be won over and she continues to be grumblingly hostile but even she has to admit at some point that maybe Carrie did actually change and that holding teenage grudges isn't the most mature thing to do. From then on the hostility is more teasing than real and Carrie plays along because she knows Flynn has a lot of fun with it.

And of course Carrie manages to rescue her friendship with Kayla and Trevor recovers ;D

Louis Tomlinson in Tampa, FL

Louis Tomlinson is, and will always be, an absolute rockstar! Louis took Tampa by storm on Friday, July 14th at our very own Yuengling Center, located on the University of South Florida Campus, as part of his Faith in the Future World Tour. Dedicated fans with general admission floor tickets began lining up as early as 9am for their numbered wristbands, per the policy set forth by Louis' team to dissuade overnight camping. Later that day, they returned to line up in their places to enter the venue.

Once inside, fans were regaled by powerful and emotional ballads from the first opener, Andrew Cushin. At just 23 years old, Cushin puts on a show filled with passion and left fans absolutely floored! Next came a band by the name of "The Snuts". Originally from Scotland, the Snuts know how to put on a show. With high energy songs like "Seasons", fans were jumping around & filling the center with fun dance moves and smiles.

When it finally came time for Louis to take the stage, fans were absolutely brimming with anticipation. Fog and strobes filled the scene as the opening notes of Louis's song "The Greatest" began to play. Louis' band made their way out onto the stage, and the screams were deafening as we awaited the man himself. The crowd absolutely exploded as Louis finally appeared, and proceeded to put on one of the best shows I've ever seen!

When Louis began his performance, I was absolutely speechless. His voice is absolutely incredible, with the most beautiful and unique vocals of any vocalist I've ever heard. Louis sang his heart out, songs like "Bigger Than Me" and "Face The Music" from his latest album "Faith in the Future", while also bringing out some oldies from his debut album "Walls" with songs like "Kill My Mind" and "We Made It". Fans went absolutely nuts for Louis' cover of "505" by the Arctic Monkeys, and then completely lost it to Louis' new rock rendition of one of his earliest singles "Back to You" feat. Bebe Rexha. Louis sings each and every word with so much passion, and every one of his songs is an absolute work of art! Louis also takes every possible opportunity to thank his fans, saying time and time again that he wouldn’t be here if it weren't for them, and expressing just how much he loves them. At one point, Louis even took the time to sign a tattoo for a fan, a common request from his tattoo-obsessed fanbase. Louis was constantly cheesing at fans and looked to be having the absolute best time on stage, and we just couldn’t get enough of him!

As Louis' left the stage proceeding his final encore, something incredible happened. One particular fan in the crowd began belting out the lyrics to "No Control", a song by One Direction that is famously known to be written by Louis himself. The entire crowd then began singing along, me right along with them, serenading Louis backstage with this and another 2 songs from his One Direction days in a nostalgic sing-along. The camaraderie within the crowd was beautiful, and it was so touching to see music bringing fans together like this.

Louis then took the stage one final time, performing an acoustic "Saturdays" under one single glowing bulb, the iconic "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" by the one and only One Direction, and finally finishing off with an off the charts performance of "Silver Tongues". Fans at the barricade scrambled to get as close as possible when Louis climbed off stage and sang the final few lines from on top of the barricade itself. Louis pulled himself out of the crowd, said one final thank you, and left the stage. With that, Louis concluded his final Florida show date of his Faith in the Future World Tour.

I could not stop smiling throughout the entirety of this show, from the incredible openers to the iconic Louis Tomlinson. As a longtime fan, I'll never get tired of seeing Louis perform, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! Louis was born to perform; From his early days as the lead in his school play of "Grease" to his chart topping years in One Direction, to now, taking his solo career to new heights every single day. It's only up from here for him, and fans and I alike cannot wait to see where he takes us next!

BTTMW2 Recap - Day 2:

I'm sorry for all the spelling and grammatical mistakes; I typed this on my tablet so auto-correct keeps "correcting" my words.

JATP ending:

So, in the M&G Kenny made us pinky swear that we won't disclose anything JATP-related we talked about. Nothing has changed, though: The show remains cancelled (no season 2; no movie)

Neither during the M&G nor the panel they talked about a tour.

Kenny is still very angry at Netflix because of it

But he's working on new projects and is very excited about them

During the panel, a fan asked about the ending and Kenny refused to give an official answer. Instead he let Madi, Owen, and Jeremy talk about how they imagined the end:

Madi: No ending

Jeremy: Every Phantom gets the ending that they needed as individuals, not as a band. Maybe one coming back to life while others cross over

Owen (joke answer): Alex and Willie move up and become the main ship. The show gets renamed and focuses on them building a family

Owen (real answer): They move on and meet Julie's mom

JATP in general:

They were asked about with whom (character-wise) they'd like to be friends with: Jeremy with Reggie, Kenny with Willie and Alex.

They want to be friends forever. Their friendship is very important for them.

Even though the Orpheum Tour (All the billboards around the globe with "save JATP") didn't get us what we wanted, it left an impact. According to Kenny, many people in the film industry were impressed. And the cast is so grateful about it.

JATP cast fun facts and my unrelated rambling/experience:

Kenny likes Charlie so much because he reminds him of a character he used to play in a musical that set him free and inspired him to become evolve from an actor to a director

Charlie's tattoo "Raison d'être" that he has on his wrist is written in Kenny's handwriting as he inspired it and there's an entire story behind it why this statement is so important to Kenny ... it included raisin bread

Kenny is so inspiring as a person. When he talks about his passion he's just so encouraging. There was so much energy in the room

Charlie liked the wolf on my shirt which is weird cause it was actually a fox.

Mission accomplished: I spoke German to Owen

I wore my "Ghosted" shirt for the Sunset Curve Trio. Jeremy approved. (Btw, I love how this photo turned out.)

Got the "Stand Tall" pose photo. Was great. But I was to short to reach Owen's hand. 🤣

Can't say it enough: They are just incredibly nice and down-to-earth people. All of them -- not just the JATP cast. They really wanted to make you feel comfortable around them.

The autographs for Charlie, Owen, Jeremy, Madi, and Mitchell took so long caused because they really talked to their fans and wanted to know so many things. (Unfortunately, that's also why some people didn't get autographs because they were running out of time.)

Also big shout-out to all the fans who were there. Just as nice as the cast

DreamIt on the other hand: Well, most of the staff tried to be helpful. But the lack of information in English was just not funny. (French people really living up to their reputation, I'm afraid.)

Rulie, Flower/Tattoo Shop AU

The first thing Reggie noticed about the woman who ran the new tattoo shop next to his flower shop was that she was beautiful. The second thing he noticed was the beautiful dahlia tattoo that covered most of her forearm.

So of course, when the shop was celebrating its grand opening, he went to congratulate her with a big bouquet of dahlias. In a vase, of course. He didn't think a newly opened tattoo shop would have vases. The way the tattoo artist - Julie, she introduced herself - smiled at him made his heart flutter.

She carefully placed the vase on the counter, and introduced him to some of her friends and family. The DJ turned out to also be their piercer, and the guy with the big camera taking pictures of everything was her dad.

In turn, Reggie stuck around and introduced the other people who had shops on the street, who came by after their own closing to say hi. Luke from the music shop. Alex and Willie from the queer bookshop slash cafe. Nick from the pet store.

Every other week or so, Julie would come into his shop to get new flowers for her store. "After all, I have the vase now," she joked. When the dahlias weren't in season anymore, she asked for his suggestion. He made her a beautiful bouquet, severely undercharged her, and winked as he said it was the Beautiful Lady discount.

"But it's not like I can return the favour!" he complained, flopped dramatically sideways on the cozy patched up couch in Alex and Willie's bookstore. His shop was closed for lunch, and he'd gone over to get himself a muffin and complain. "It'd be weird to go and get a tattoo like, every month."

"Why not?" Willie asked, from where he was shelving books. "You'd look hot all tatted up. And Julie does great botanical tattoos, I've seen her work."

"I would look hot all tatted up," Reggie pouted. From behind the counter, Alex snorted. "Except I'm afraid of needles. The last time I had to get vaccinated I fainted in the chair."

He looked up at Willie from where he was sprawled on the couch, no doubt looking incredibly pathetic. "But she's so pretty. I just want to spend more time with her. I keep making her fancier, more difficult bouquets just so I can get to talk to her longer."

"You're such a dweeb," Alex sighed. "Just ask her out."

"No!" Reggie said. "What if she says no? I don't want to make things weird. Do you think I could get lost in her eyes so much that I don't feel her stabbing me with tiny needles over and over and over?"

Willie looked down at him with some mixture of sympathy and mirth.

"Why don't you ask her?" he grinned, and Reggie shot up. On the other side of the couch, Julie stood, her hand over her mouth to hold back her giggles.

"Julie!" He flailed. "Um... hi."

"You don't have to get a tattoo just to spend time with me," she said, smiling. "We can try coffee first. Though if you do want a tattoo, I'd be happy to help you out."

For their first anniversary, he did finally get that tattoo. And every time he got woozy, Julie would stop and give him kisses until he felt better.

I feel like every time I watch this first HGC episode, I have more questions about Willie and his background there. Cause like... he genuinely enjoys the show. He has fun jumping in and dancing. He tells the guys they should come back for movie nights. But also... he knows about the stamp, he's clearly seen it in action before. He knows Caleb is dangerous, but he doesn't think he's a danger to Alex and the other guys, despite them having ghostly abilities that he's never seen before. I just... I have so many questions...

YO do the rhinestones on the lining of Caleb's jacket match the ribbons Julie wears in her hair a couple times?!!!

-Smut (I'm asexual, so for me, it's uncomfortable to write. It's a personal preference. Plus, I've never written it before, and I would like to work in education as well as write, and do not want it showing up during background checks. Please respect this).

-Scenes with drug abuse of any kind.

-Zoophilia.

-Pedophilia.

-Gore.

-Excessive violence (lots of blood, stabbing, shooting. Fight scenes are fine.)

-Anything homophobic, zionist, transphobic, Islamophobic, xenophobic, anti-semitic, racist, sexist, ableist or discriminatory in any way, shape or form. I will write about experiences of ableism for a disabled character, homophobia for a gay character etc but will not write works with the message that these forms of discrimination are acceptable. It should go without saying that they're not.

-Pretty much any non-sexual kink. Again, a personal preference.

-Omegaverse stuff. Or anything with dark, damaged "alpha males" with anger issues involved.

Unless you paid an extra £5 for a fic to come out quicker, commissions may take me up to a few weeks, depending on how many I have to write, my uni workload and stuff going on in my personal life. I will keep you posted about it consistently.

For the AU combos: I got tattoo parlor and ballet and all I can think about is the line from the Avril Lavigne song now so--do with that what you will lol

(OMG! Sk8er Boi is a song I”ve actually considered turning into a fic before. The problem was I couldn’t decide which ending I liked best because I came up with three of them. And the longer I think about it the more varieties I think up for this idea)

Anyway! So sticking closer to the generated Tattoo parlor and ballet AU, we’ll use some of the beats of the song but not stick too closely to it. 

Reggie works at a tattoo parlor while he and his friends try to get their band to a point where it can be their primary income. Carrie meanwhile helps out at the dance studio that is near the tattoo parlor where Reggie works. It’s a way for her to network and also help pay for her schooling. 

Reggie and Carrie bump into each other during a serendipitous moment where their breaks lined up. Reggie does his usual friendly flirting thing, but backs off a little when it becomes obvious Carrie  is not interested, i.e. Carrie tells him she is focusing on school and work and does not have time for a relationship. Also still in a bit of denial/recovering from admitting her on again off again NIck situation is officially off for good.

Reggie continues to try and hang out with Carrie. Not in a relationship way, but in a ‘it’s always nice to have another friend’ way. Keeps trying to get her to come to one of their shows, which she keeps making excuses or has legitimate scheduling conflicts. 

Eventually she agrees to go to one of Reggie shows but on the caveat he attends one of her recitals the next prior, which he readily agrees to. Just as she’s ready to admit that maybe she has feelings for Reggie, he doesn’t show up to the recital. Which she just angrily takes to mean that she should just focus on school and work. Even starts work at a different studio.

A few months later after she’s calmed down slightly and letting her curiosity get the best of her she looks up his band and learns that they’ve disbanded, for reasons not mentioned in the article. Although doing some further digging unveils it was a series of misfortunes, some drama with their rhythm guitarist, and missing what could have been their big break due to serious case of food poisoning(the same weekend of the missed recital).

She goes to see if she can find him at the tattoo parlour but learns he also quit and no one there knows where he went. 

Jump cut to a year to a few years later, and Carries students are all talking about this new up and coming band Julie and the Phantoms. One of her students shows her a video and Carrie nearly accidentally steals their phone after recognizing Reggie. 

Her coworker Kayla confronts her about her weirdness and then further insists that they should go to a show. Because serendipitous moment number two the band happens to be performing relatively close by. 

Carrie’s not sure what she’s expecting to happen. Not like Reggie will really be able to see her from up on stage. She doubts he’d recognize her. Most of all she keeps admonishing herself for even entertaining this idea and getting her hopes up. 

Hopes which nearly shatter into oblivion when she sees how Reggie and their lead singer Julie are interacting with each other in all of the interviews and concert videos she can find. She can’t find any personal social media, at least none that she recognizes as them, and the two refuse to make any sort of official relationship statement despite all the rumors circulating around them.

Kayla ends up surprising Carrie with ether a meet and greet or backstage passe…maybe both? Anyway, Carrie tries to act like it’s not a big deal, because it shouldn’t be, she and Reggie were never a thing. 

Reggie doesn’t immediately recognize Carrie but he does clearly find her familiar with how he keeps glancing at her in line. The lightbulb goes off after Carrie mentions her name and is very apologetic but overall excited to see her again and introduce her to the rest of the band. 

This is where we can either go full on happy Sweet Tarts ending, semi-tragic bittersweet Rulie ending, or my personal fav the Regal Jewelry ending.
