Jin and Naki for the character opinion bingo.
Hoo, boy, here we go.
I'll start w/ Naki bc Jin's… A little weird:
To give a bit of explanation: they both have too much and not enough screen time bc they both did not get developed very much and were crammed into a single ep, but were also repeatedly awkwardly wedged into things, same w/ wasted potential, their 'development' felt very shallow and unfounded, hence the 'not as deep' thing, and then the dynamic one is bc I found them much more interesting when interacting with Horobi and Ikazuchi and Yua (not necessarily all at once, and the first two more than the second).
W/ Jin, I gotta make distinction, bc I feel differently about the two different Jins. So, first, as he shall always be, Baby Jin:
He was wasted/didn't get enough screen time bc he got murdered in ep 16 and then lots of people forgot about him, deeper/almost everyone is wrong bc lots of people called him Horobi's puppet which is both hypocritical and blatantly bs, works better in his family relationship w/ Horobi, got done dirty bc so many people abandoned him for Neo Jin and again called him a puppet, he's my son I love him so much I want him back.
But we gotta move onto Neo Jin:
Bane of my life thou art Neo Jin. I originally defended Neo Jin but by the end of the show I couldn't stand him. He was a simplified clone of an interesting character who lost all his colour and complexity and was reduced from an ai created by another ai to another mere "marvel" of human engineering that lost all his individuality to rehash the myth that humans are Best. I'm gonna stop now bc I'm in a mood and cannot talk about Neo Jin w/out getting mad.
Ahem. Sorry, apparently I needed to vent and I always maintain being honest in these things.

…I have a silly idea. A question for your Touchstarved OCs! How many times in the demo would they have met an untimely end? How do you predict them dying in the future?
So, not necessarily predicting how the MC will die in the routes, just wondering what doom looks like for your OC in particular.
I’ll start:
Luneth the Unnamed
She does pretty well in the demo, actually, the only time she might have died is by Leander after he grabs her cursed hand, but he’s “perfectly fine” so everything’s a-okay. Right?
The Senobium, probably. Trusts institutions over individuals. Would submit herself to experimentation for the greater good.
Vere. If their enmity grows, it could end in bloodshed and since she isn’t a fighter, her odds don’t look good.
There’s not a lot here, I expect her to be the MC who actually survives. Let’s go final girl!
Jin the Alchemist
Soulless. Boy spends his days studying and conducting alchemical experiments, he does not exercise enough to outrun a Soulless creature before Mhin gets there.
Leander. He trusts him so much.
Ais. If Ocudeus makes him lose control, Jin isn’t going to win a fight against him, and I don’t think he’ll be able to outrun him, either..
The Senobium. He too would submit himself to experimentation for the greater good. Compared to Luneth who’d be like, “This is my purpose. This is how I contribute to the world,” though, he’d probably view it more as a deserving punishment for being a monster. He has to be restrained somehow because he is made to hurt, and there is no redemption for that.
Mentor. I can see a path where he leaves Eridia and returns to her. He already has doubts about his decision to flee. Would let her take his life to keep others safe.
Seaspring. Would drink from it after losing all hope for another cure.
Alon the Hound Oh boy...
Vere. “Call me a dog again, and I’ll make you bleed.” “You got it, bitch! :D”
Vere. Booped the snoot of his monster form.
Vere. After trying to prank him with static electricity — look, it was Ais’s fault for giving them the idea of Vere’s tail frizzing up. Can you just picture Vere with a hand on that static electricity ball in the science centres? POOFY VERE XD
Vere. After drawing a portrait of Vere for his Senobium employee of the month picture (he is not employee of the month). They’re not really an artist. It looks like she’s insulting him. It amused Kuras before they died, though, so. Worth it.
Vere. Tried to serenade him. *strums lute badly* “I love you, bitch.”
Vere. Said directly to his face, “Sometimes I wonder how I taste haha.”
Vere. After trying to pick his pockets.
Vere. Surrendered.
Ocudeus. Tried fighting it.
Ocudeus. Tried flirting with it.
Ocudeus. Tried eating it.
Ocudeus. Tried flirting with it again.
Ocudeus. Tried to pick its pockets. And no, the eldritch kraken does not have any pockets, you dumbass—
Ais. “Trust me bro, I got this.” After asking him to help them with the famous magic trick that involves catching a deadly projectile in her mouth. I don’t know, I just feel like they'd enable each other with dumb shit.
Leander. Drank his poisoned punch on a dare. See the above.
Kuras. When judgement comes for their soul, I feel like she’d annoy the gods into smiting them.
Kuras. Ate his cooking. They’re the kind of person to eat rice raw and try to cook it by drinking boiling water. How much more dangerous could the doctor’s cooking be—
Senobium. They’d have a contentious relationship with the Senobium in every route, so the academy would take no issue with killing the thief. Probably via Vere.
Senobium. There is at least one universe in the demo where they made the split second decision to swipe that Senobium cleric’s keys and attempt to break Vere out. Spontaneous jail break wooooooo! They’d fail horribly, of course, but I know that there’s at least one alternate universe where she would do that.
Seaspring. Gave into their impulses and cannonballed into the Seaspring. Though who else lowkey wants to swim in the forbidden soup?
Mhin. Would sooner choose to die than kill their friend. So if Mhin loses control and running’s not an option…Damn, there’s so much they wanted to do with them. They wanted to make them laugh more. They wanted them to teach her about alchemy because it seems to make them happy. They still haven’t told them the secret to that one magic trick they could never pick apart and she knows how that’s been driving them crazy, even though they pretend they don’t care, even though they always care more than they let others know, it’s one of the reasons she—She never got to tell them. Ah, well. They’ll figure it out without her. She knows they will.
Please feel free to reblog with your OCs' death count/causes of death predictions!

Love how her esper fit is just "tits out, ass out"
She looks like the gals drawn in True Beauty, down to the exaggerated hips and thigh gap and triangular waist to hip to rib cage ratio. No shade, but it makes me giggle every time. Actually, a bit of shade cause why her shirt perfectly suctioned on her baubles?? 🤣 damn bubble boobies striking again.
She looks so unrealistically proportioned compared to every other character in this game, it's wild. She looks like a gacha character from one of those "It's not hentai" games in the app store.
Wonder why they went for the Halloween "sexy baseball player" get up for Dokkaebi. I mean, I guess sometimes they carry around clubs and bash people with them, but where's her bat?? They could've gone the wrestling Dokkaebi route, or maybe the archery Dokkaebi route, but I guess they just wanted to draw a sexy girl. Valid.
And, yes, I'm aware that baseball is a pretty solid sport in S.Korea, but I'mma still nitpick the decision to introduce it in the most jarring way possible. She looks like a high schooler in one of them fan service anime. What is the connection??? 🤔

Yes we're so normal and sane discussing this in asks and reblogs I have another question to throw at you aksbdkeh (sorry)
What's the first song you've ever heard from them?? And what made you "spiral" into becoming a fan?👁👁 mine was danger and cypher pt 3 lol
we are so so normal rain i agree more normal questions ofc ofc
the first song i technically heard was IDOL bc i basically went: i want to get into BTS, so i googled them, and found the IDOL music video. didn’t rly find it that interesting
then somehow later listened to ‘i’m fine’ and became OBSESSED. with only that song but then slowly got into it more. my first comeback was technically MOTS:7 but i was there near enough for the beginnings of boy with luv (a late fan i know 😔😔😔)
that, then RUN, spring day, fake love etc etc all pulled me in deeper. funnily enough, i initially really disliked Danger ONLY BC on those youtube videos ‘guess the BTS song’ they’d always have it for the hard rounds and ID NEVER GUESS IT (i hadn’t heard it at the time) which gave me a parasocial hate for it lmao
war of hormone was also an early hit for me. definitely like the 2/3rd BTS song i became obsessed w. i remember watching the MV in my room and dancing to the chorus (and marvelling at the colour grading lmao)

Okay I can’t not say something…
… I dunno what’s going on in Geats. I’m not watching it. Sounds like my man Michianga is getting some shit which sucks, when will Takahashi treat the purple guys right???
I say, not even sure I’m spelling his name right.
But I genuinely cannot believe people are still trying to come for Horobi on this.
So let’s clear some things up.
1) Horobi was absolutely set up. Probably wasn’t the Ark’s plan from the start exactly, but she knowingly made him dependent on her and psychologically abused and manipulated him for years. Disconnected from her, Horobi was unstable and trying to grapple w/ trying to think for himself. He was heavily traumatised and easily manipulated, making him the perfect patsy. All she had to do was poke Izu’s blind devotion to Aruto a bit and have her use her usual brand of insensitive, socially unaware ‘help.’ That situation was absolutely orchestrated.
2) Is two things. Izu could easily have dodged that shot and choose not to, and Horobi had no reason to think she had no backup (which was ridiculous to begin w/). He’d made it very clearly he considered backups to be a form of immortality for ai, and we have no clue how he would have reacted if she dodged bc she choose not to. Obviously Horobi ‘shouldn’t’ have resorted to violence to ‘end’ that interaction, but he was not in a mental place where he could make that distinction. It’s all he’s ever known, it’s predominately the only way anyone has ever treated him. He was panicked and she was harassing him. He was desperate to end the interaction in anyway possible, and he’d already tried walking away. But there is no way he ‘knew he was ‘killing’ her (and, well… He didn’t). He actually seems genuinely shaken that she just took the hit, being unable to respond to Jin’s question (which he always has before). He wasn’t planning on ‘killing’ her at all, he just needed her to stop. She also choose to go in there in the first place. That’s like… Not to compare any of these characters to dogs in that way, but that’s like a domesticated Pomeranian walking into a playpen w/ a recently ‘rescued’ wolf that’s been abused and used in fighting rings and trying to play and being shocked it got bitten.
3) There were so many people who could have done something. Jin, who’s been so ready to take hits for people he barely knows before, just stands there. There were plenty of humans around! Fuwa and Yua, who started this whole damn thing, were nowhere to be seen, and Fuwa had an opportunity to stop the fighting and fucked it up. Like I absolutely believe there’s a correlation between Fuwa shooting Horobi for asking him that question and Horobi shooting at Izu to get her to stop provoking him. Aruto himself is more busy trying to force the HumaGear outside to go back to how he thinks they should be then dealing w/ the actual root of the situation. If he actually cared as much as he claims, maybe he’d realise how much suffering Horobi is going through and actually try to address the situation, rather than leaving it to his secretary who is in no way capable of doing so?
Basically, the fact of the matter is that this was not Horobi killing Izu in cold blood, it was more equivalent to a wounded animal trying to defend itself. She choose to go in there, back him into a corner, and choose not to back off when she saw he was becoming agitated. She choose not to dodge. He fired back in an attempt to end the interaction, bc she was doing more harm than help. Ultimately, I’m not trying to pin this on her, either, although I have Issues w/ how she was portrayed. Izu was never going to be able to help Horobi there bc she just could not understand what he was going through. In her mind, devotion to Aruto makes everything right, Aruto is the absolute best thing ever. And that’t not her fault, that was how she was made, and he inadvertently groomed her into that. But let’s not get me started on Aruto. The fact of the matter is that this was literally everyone’s fault. Well, it’s Gai and the Ark’s fault (bc the Ark is Gai’s fault), but if Horobi and even Izu herself had done nothing different but someone else present actually used their common sense for five seconds, this would never have happened.
Literally, this is saying that a traumatised, abused child soldier lashing out bc they feel backed into a corner and scared out of their minds is deliberately aggressive. Horobi was protecting himself the only way he knew how, Izu was (unintentionally, like she meant well but meaning well does not equate to doing well) harassing and provoking him and randomly decided not to dodge for some inconceivable reason, and everyone else decided that clearly, the sheltered ai w/ limited world experience and knowledge was obviously the right person to deal w/ the traumatised, abused, unstable one.
Also Fuwa and Yua started it and Fuwa had a chance to stop the fighting and fucked it up. An in character fuck up, maybe, but a fuck up. Aruto was more bothered w/ getting his free labour back than helping the traumatised child soldier. Jin randomly decides to be useless.
Edit: bc I realise I forgot them, Naki and Ikazuchi aren’t even there, they just show up to talk shit later like what the fuck guys maybe actually make and effort before you start badmouthing your supposed family member who you know has been horribly abused and mind controlled all his life.
GAI AND THE ARK.
Aaaaand… I’m not talking about after bc I think I’ve ruffled enough feathers.
Basically, while the situation in Geats does sound much more straightforward, I will not stand for people depicting Horobi as some knowingly malicious killer when he was very clearly not in a space where he could or knew how to make those calls. The man had only just gotten disconnected from the Ark, he was just learning how to make decisions. He didn’t ‘choose’ to ‘kill’ Izu, he acted on an instinct to protect himself out of fear and then he himself did not understand his actions.
