DPXDC Prompt #128
No one was quite sure what happened, They had gone after Joker and while Batman was hesitant to allow Hood along he had gotten better about his anger and everyone else was busy with other rouges. one second Red Hood had a gun in Jokers face the next, there was a shift in Hood like he wasn’t himself anymore. Unfortunately it finally happened for Hood, his soulmate had reached 20 years of age and the two switched places. The person controlling his body now though was Danny Fenton who happens not to like clowns.
Danny was panicking and not realizing he was holding a gun pulls the trigger causing the Joker the go flying and Danny’s panic to increase 10 fold. He whips his head to get a look at his surroundings and that’s when he panics further and slowly places the gun on the ground and slowly raise his hands into the air. There in front of him was Batman and he knew he was in trouble. Still panicking he squeaked at the dark knight’s approach, “I’m sorry!! I- I guess I’m this guy’s soulmate. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone”
Jason meanwhile wasn’t fairing any better. He was pissed the clown was right in front of him and he was so close! He was in this scrawny body, his soulmate happened to be in Gotham but by the looks of it, he was in rough shape, a small fever was forming and it seemed like he had bandages wrapped around his torso. Jason doesn’t know what happened to him but he’s taking him to Alfred, he wasn’t going to let his soulmate bleed out in an alley even if he did have the worst timing.

Guys, I'm so sorry. But here's this!
~~~~
Danny blinks and he is somewhere else. He’s sitting at a dining room table, surrounded. There are so many people here. They’re all talking over each other, some yelling, some laughing. This scene comes as a great surprise to him, who -one blink ago- was trying and failing to do his homework at home in his room. Danny shoots up, his chair making a horrible noise as he pushes it away so fast it tumbles over. Everyone in the room turns to look over at him like he’s insane.
“Oh my god, who are you people?” Danny did not mean to say this out loud, but at the sound of his voice he startles. Danny takes a moment to assess, and then, “Oh my god who am I?”  He is tall, and big, and this is certainly not his body, what is he wearing.
The boy sitting to the right of Danny, a little shorter than he is, with black hair and blue eyes (though now that he’s paying attention that does describe most people in the room),  starts chuckling lightly. “Uh, Jason? Are you good?”
Danny turns to stare him right in the eyes. “What day is it?”
And he can tell the concern around the table is just ratcheting up every time he opens his stupid mouth.
“Did you hit your head on patrol?” The voice comes from the only blond and one of the only girls in the room, who's to the left of the person across from him. The person across from him is another boy with black hair and blue eyes who is studying Danny in a way that makes him uncomfortable, that under-a-microscope look that makes you feel like you’re failing at something.
“I have no idea if Jason hit his head.” Danny says. “I was just trying to remember if it was my birthday.”
And if he thought the room was busy when he first arrived here it is absolute pandemonium now. Everyone starts shouting and asking questions that he can’t even hear over the shouting. Someone with white hair in a suit just came through a door he didn’t even see earlier to stand by the only person not shouting, who -Danny would guess- is the only other adult in this room, witting at the head of the table. He also has black hair and blue eyes, and where almost everyone else’s reaction was panic, he froze instead. The person across from Danny also isn’t shouting, but the person next to Danny on his right has now fully stood up and looks like he might actually jump across the table to win the argument he ended up in.
“Are you Jason’s soulmate?” is the main gist of the shouting that Danny can interpret but he’s more concerned with actual Jason at the moment. If they switched bodies... Then Jason might be in trouble…
“Hey, I forget, how long is this body swap supposed to last again?” Danny asks.
“Until you and Jason have physical contact. You have to actually meet.” The boy sitting across from him explains. He seems like one of the only ones that heard Danny talk, everyone else was still shouting.
“Oh, that just seems terrible. What if we’re in different countries or something?” Danny complained. “Everyone in the world is just supposed to be able to drop everything and afford to fly across the world. The universe is really trying to screw people over now. Honestly, am I in a different country? Where even are we right now?”
“You’re in Gotham.” This voice was new, coming from the head of the table to Danny’s right.
“Oh no. Nope.” Danny started backing away from the table, almost tripping on his overturned chair. “Absolutely not, no, how do I get out of here?” He starts earnestly looking for a door to get out of this place, but there are three doors he can see and he has no idea where any of them go, and doesn’t this room have any windows? What kind of a room doesn’t have any windows? Do they like to eat in a basement?
“Jason- not Jason. Uh, you need to calm down, everything will be fine alright, We’ll get you and Jason introduced no problem.” Danny swivels to track the voice and it’s the one who was sitting next to him, he’s walking towards him with his hands up and out in front of him.
“I have to get home.” Danny breathes.
“We can get you there, promise. Now, I’m Dick, can you tell me your name?”
“Your name is Dick? Who named you Dick?” Danny is so confused he’s stopped panicking. “How old are you for you to go by the name Dick?”
“Okay, rude.” Dick sounds like a petulant child so Danny’s estimations for his age are continuously dropping. “I’m 24.”
Danny snorts. “Okay.” The blond girl starts laughing over at the table. “I’m uh, I’m Danny.”
“Nice to meet you. Sort of. I’m Tim.” The guy from across from him had made it over to stand next to Dick. “There’s a lot of us here today so the one laughing like a hyena is Steph. That one there is Duke.” African-American, still with black hair but he has brown eyes and waves once introduced. “Damian is the short one next to him, and Cass was sitting across from Dick earlier. Our dad, Jason’s dad-”
“Not my dad!” Steph interrupted. Tim waves her off.
“Everyone but Steph's dad, is over there, Bruce. Alfred, our butler is the one next to him.” Alfred gives a slight nod to his head. Bruce is just staring at him.
“So, names out of the way. You said you wanted to go home, where do you live?”
“Amity Park.”
DpxDc AU: Soulmates only meet in the afterlife...And Danny is dead half of the time.
It was the general consensus that Soulmates did indeed exist, and that there were a couple of hints to know if your soulmate was, but you wouldn’t know for certain until you died. This was often devastating for widows of non-soulmates but... Widows could hear the voices of and feel the phantom touches of their Soulmates. That after their loved one passed away, they didn’t truly leave them.
Soulmates always traveled to the infinite realms together in a pair, unwilling to pass on without the other. This leads to the ghosts that seemingly never moved on and gave Danny so much grief, they needed to pass the time until their loved one died some how.
Danny dies and feels himself talking to himself more often while transformed into Phantom, kicking butt and taking names aside. Just small things to reassure himself, nothing more than an instinct to process the situation he was in with this insane life he was living.
I’m going to be okay, I’m going to get out of this.
I swear to all the ancients that Casper High better make a statue in my honor.
Mom and Dad don’t mean it.
The fundraiser to rebuild Poltergeist Avenue is going to be ridiculous.
Mom and Dad wouldn’t mean it if they really knew.
Nasty burger really should rebrand but my goodness is this the best shit ever.
It takes a few years to think about the fact that he might have a soulmate who could hear him- how unlikely would that be though? It’s not like he was haunting the person, so it probably wasn’t any big issue. Was there a proximity thing involved? Clockwork sighs and gives him no true answers.
...
Tim has been hearing the voice of his Soulmate for years. Not...All the time though. He’d mapped out the time frame by which he did hear the additional male voice, accumulated enough data to determine a general profile and geotagged a few of the landmarks mentioned to find the most likely town. Restaurants, street names, highschools, and notable names all help Tim to find what he’s looking for. The concerning amount of comments on his soulmates parents make Tim’s blood boil and motivate him all the more.
Thing is...Amity Park is under a complete media blackout. The challenge nearly makes him swoon, as if his dead soulmate were leading him towards his favorite hobby (taking down corrupt groups of assholes with too much power, cult or government, was his ideal pass time). He just wants to know who his soulmate was. He wants to know who is waiting for him.
Arriving undercover and unannounced as a random tourist, Tim cannot find his soulmates grave. Can’t find anything about the person who died all those years ago and had spoken in his ear ever since. He’s about to storm the Mayor’s office, his plans for the GIW already in motion, when a ghost attack begins.
Phantom arrives and suddenly Tim understands who exactly he’s been looking for. Getting into the crosshairs of the fight, Tim pulls a few RR moves and Phantom cautiously approaches him after capturing the assailant ghost.
“I’m here because you’re my soulmate, and it’s very interesting that you only talk to me during non-business hours. Care to explain what you’re doing between 9 am and 3 pm, Monday through Friday?”
“Uh... High school mostly. Wait you can hear me? You’re my soulmate?”
Cue Danny de-transformation, explanation of his death and ability to die on command, and Tim’s very softball interrogation with his presentation on how he found Danny through the small conversational phrases.
They kiss as the GIW headquarters explode in the background.
Dead on Main Soulmate AU
First words your soulmate says to you are written on your skin. Jason didn’t understand his for a long time- it looks like an insult, but he has absolutely no idea what it means, both before and after his death.
Eventually, it starts to make a slight bit more sense as Trendy Lingo advanced, and he hears Steph and Tim and some other teens using something similar. Still, he doesn’t understand why they’re said, and so Jason is completely unprepared for when he’s approached randomly by some guy while walking down the street after a particularly violent pit rage.
“Sir, your vibes are rancid.”
Jason freezes. The pit writhes in offense, because what the fuck, but at the same time his heart is beating out of his chest, because what the fuck?
“Oh ancients that sounded rude.” The guy says, eyes widening like he can’t believe he said that. “I mean- I just- are you okay? You don’t feel okay. You feel really, really sick, like your soul got marinated in corrupted ecto, and do you want help?”
Jason keeps staring. The guy is cute, dark hair and blue eyes that seem just a bit too bright to be human, freckles disappearing behind an embarrassed flush.
“I don’t want to overstep, because you’re giving off a whole lot of “fuck off don’t talk to me”, but I didn’t wanna just ignore you because I’m pretty sure a lot of the anger and bad vibes are coming from the corrupted stuff and I’m pretty sure I can help with that? If you don’t want help just tell me to fuck off or punch me in the face and I’ll leave but-”
The stranger takes a nervous step away, and Jason lunges forwards before he can think, everything in him rebelling at the thought of his soulmate leaving, from his own thoughts to the pits themselves.
“Please don’t leave.” He gasps, hands squeezed tight to his soulmates arm despite the twinge of pain from his bloodied knuckles. His soulmate’s eyes widen in shock, mouth dropped open, before he breaks into a bright, amazed grin.
“I won’t, I promise.” His soulmate says, reaching up to hold onto Jason’s arms in turn. His touch is cold, even through Jason’s jacket. “I’m staying right here.”
Jason leans into the touch, sagging with relief. He can feel the pits receding, the anger and pain and fear fading as his soulmate gently runs his hand over his back.
He feels, for the first time in a long time, at peace.
“…seriously though, wtf happened to you, you reek of bad death juice.”
DP x DC Prompt #4
In a world filled with soulmate’s, most people are born with the first words your soulmate says to you. Those born without a soulmark? Are destined to die young.
Daniel James Fenton wasn’t born with a soulmark. Neither was Jason Peter Todd.
That’s why it was a little surprising to both of them when they wound up coming back after dying. With words on them nonetheless.
I've been reading sad prompts again and need some happy:
Soulmate AU Jason/Danny
In this universe, on the youngest soulmates 18th birthday, the two people swap bodies for an amount of time. I think typically in this type of soulmate story, it's supposed to happen when they're asleep (they wake up in the other's body), but the chaos of it happening when they're awake/in the middle of something is too funny. Maybe they switch at the exact minute the youngest was born?
Anyway, imagine:
Danny is suddenly in the body of tall muscular beefcake Jason and Jason is in the body of is-this-a-child-? Danny (short twink king Danny).
1) They switch when Jason is in the middle of family dinner at Wayne Manor.
2) They switch when Red Hood is in the middle of kicking the shit outta someone.
3) They switch during Danny's daily ghost battle. (Danny was flying when they switch, so Jason immediately falls 50 ft to the ground)
4) [Angst] They switch while the Fentons are in the middle of vivisecting Danny.
5) They switch while Danny was in the Ghost Zone and Jason is very stressed about being in some sort of Lazarus realm.
6) The switch while the Batfam is in the middle of fighting Joker. Danny throws Jason's gun in the Joker's face and then just starts pummeling him. Danny does NOT like clowns and this one's clearly an asshole.
7) They switch while Jason's in the middle of making dinner and Danny does NOT know how to cook.
8) Jason is the younger and the Batfam decides to try to look as normal as possible, so they set up a birthday party for Jason. When they switch Danny has a moment of 'Oh fuck no' because his soulmate is rich.
9) Jason is younger and Danny is very concerned about how shitty his apartment is. Were those gunshots?!
Danny and jason clown soulmark
Danny and jason HATE clowns, hates them with a passion
If danny sees a clown and they need a kick in the ass, he's gunna give them one
Jason, at witnessing a clown will shoot first and ask questions later( this resulted in alot of bribes with the circus from bruce)
So it wasent a suprise that when they finally got their soulmarks and it was a clown dew to their mutualhatred of them, they had similar reactions, the thought that their soulmate was a clown made danny want to punch something, jason is slightly terrified the joker is his soulmate,
So after a few years danny is 17 and jason is 19/20 they meet for the first time.
How?
Well the fentons were visiting gothem and got caught up in a joker attack, danny the second he caught sight of the joker himself,
Slowley took off his hoodie, handed it to jazz...and proceded to spider drop on him, hissing, biting and clawing and the joker couldn't get him off
And thats what the batfam walked into, a twink going feral on the joker while 2 people watch in pride and 1 in exasperation
After the CHALLENGE that was getting danny off the joker batman and red hood approached the kid tland asked why he attacked the joker
Danny smiled a too sharp smile, pulled up his sleave and said "my soulmate might be a clown but that dosent stop my hatred of them" danny then spit out a mouthful of jokers blood
The batfam, who recognised the souldmark, were thinking 'they really are made for each other'
Meanwhile jason is wondering when his birthday is so he can marry him legally
Clownmates
Danny and Jason both hated clowns, that really wasn't a secret to any of their friends or family; but for that to be what connected them with their respective soulmate was just ridiculous.
You see, the way you can recognize your soulmate is by the distinctive mark that appears anywhere on your body, since the moment of your birth you receive what will be something significant to both people engraved on you, in Danny & Jason case the mark was in their arm.
That's why after came back to life, Jason wasn't amused that his soulmate had anything to do with clowns, the obviously recognizable smile gave him chills, and for a while he couldn't sleep at the simple thought that the damn Joker was his soulmate.
Something similar happened to Danny, when he was little he loved circuses, thinking that his destined person would be there, but after all the trouble with Freakshow he didn't even dare look at his arm, how could the person destined for him be associated with those vile creatures?
That was the trick that nobody bothered to clarify, significant did not mean positive; honestly they both should be thankful they didn't have some 4, or other reference to death marked on their body.
Because of that reason they both hated Valentine's Day, they didn't dare to look for their supposed soulmate out of horror of discovering them in a circus, it was simply cruel. Danny couldn't stand the reminder of love because he associated clowns with bad things, and he didn't want to think that his soulmate was bad.
So when both Danny and Jason found themselves in Gotham, about to sneak into the clowns dressing room and probably ruin their makeup and decorations out of pettiness, they found themselves looking at each other in concern, and stared before backing off.
Before either of them had a chance to say anything, a clown found them and frowned at Jason claiming his Valentine decorations, Jason grunted and handed them over as Danny watched the scene annoyed "I really hate clowns" he muttered as he watched the scene, when Jason delivered the decorations his shirt sleeve went up a little and Danny noticed a peculiar...smile.
Getting a horrible hunch, the halfa rolled up his own shirtsleeve, revealing the same smile that he had been seen on Jason's arm.
"This must be a joke"
An idea that I finally turned into a prompt.
Danny and Jason died decades apart, in different ways, multiverses away from each other with unrelated causes of death. Somehow, after Danny's death, through some reality glitch or ghostly loophole their souls end up connected even though they logically shouldn't be.
Ghosts usually become connected if they die in the exact same place on the same day down to the second with death's that correlate with eachother. Needles to say there aren't many connected ghosts and Danny and Jason definitely shouldn't be one.
Danny didn't even exist when Jason died at fourteen. Jason was almost thirty when Danny died. Jason died in a warehouse because of the Joker. Danny died anytime and everywhere at once because of a stupid dare and an unfortunate Portal design. Danny was revived by the very thing that killed him instantaneously. Jason was revived by the Lazarus pits a year after his death. Danny became a hero after dying. Jason was a hero before he died. Jason got a funeral while Danny parent's didn't even realize he was dead.
Both of them died because they were brought closer to things they never should have seen and both of them came back missing a part of themselves.
It is unclear why they're connected but Danny isn't all that confused when he starts dreaming of being a morally gray crime lord/vigilante with a strained family life and a grudge towards the local clown population. He's just pissed he's backseat driving this guy like he's the only member of this guy's twitch chat. The guy barely responds to Danny's genius commentary :c
Jason is very confused as to why at random intervals of the day goes from screaming for violence to calling his family furries, cracking jokes, bullying the criminals (and occasionally him and his family) with snarky remarks and cheering whenever anyone did anything remotely athletic. He can't decide if he likes the new pit better but he definitely doesn't like hearing the pit ask him about it's middle school homework.
DPXDC Prompt #122
In this AU you can find your soulmate after you die in the infinite realms. A ghosts core will hum and purr really loudly when they’re found. Danny and Jason are the same age but Jason dies and is resurrected before Danny has his accident. They don’t meet in the zone but because they’ve both got ectoplasm in their systems Danny’s core starts to purr when they meet one day as adults.
Jason thought the guy was cute but something was off about them. For one why they hell was he staring at Jason and two was he purring?
Dead on Main AU 3
Masterpost
So this one is a bit longer, but that's because part of it is the same phone conversation from the other side.
~~~~~
“Road trip!” Dick calls out. All of the- siblings(?)-younger people start to scramble before Bruce calls out for them to stop.
“This is going to be a 12 hour drive one-way, which means we won't be back until dinner tomorrow at the earliest. Not all of you can go.” This causes a lot of frowns and Danny holds in a chuckle. They start arguing over why they should be able to go and Bruce pinches his nose, right between his eyes as they shout at him.
“First and Foremost, I do believe that Masters Duke, Damian, and Stephanie have school tomorrow.” Alfred inserts. Everyone quiets to listen to him, Danny notes. Everyone else they’ll talk over, he must be important, be extra nice to him.
The three must sigh and sit back down at the table.
“Cass, if you wouldn’t mind staying to keep them out of trouble overnight. I’m sure Alfred will see them out to school.”
Cass shrugs, then signs at Dick who responds “Of course!” Danny hadn’t realized that she was speaking sign language this whole time.
Bruce then turns to face Dick and Tim. “You have absolutely no way to keep us from coming.” Dick sing-songs.
“You both have work tomorrow.”
“Actually, Dick and I called out ten minutes ago, family emergency.” Tim shrugs. “We won’t be in for a few days unless things change.”
“Alright, go grab your things.” They both whoop and you can just tell they were both about to start running when they catch eyes with Alfred and just start walking really fast. “Pack light, and grab some changes of clothes for Jason!”
Before they can leave a phone starts ringing. They all look around before all eyes settle back on Danny. He feels around his pockets for where the phone is, before pulling it out and seeing his own number on the caller ID.
“Oh, it’s me!” Danny hurries to pick up as he hears someone mutter “Why didn’t we think of that?” from the table. Dick and Tim are almost immediately right next to him as he mumble out a hello.
“Um, hello, Jason?”
“Yeah, this is Jason. You with my family?” His heart thumps when he hears his own voice coming out the other side of the phone. It somehow makes the whole situation seem a bit more real then it did before.
“If the people that were in the room with you before are your family. I really only have confirmation that one of them is your dad.”
“Hey, we’re his family”
“We’re all his brothers and Cass is his sister.”
“Have those motherfuckers not even introduced themselves?”
So much talking at once, Danny tries to focus on his own voice coming through the phone. It’s a little deeper than it usually is, gruffer and lilted like it’s trying to talk in an accent the mouth isn’t familiar with shaping. Danny supposes the voice he’s speaking with now must be doing the same.
“Sort of. Eventually.” Jason sighs loud enough to hear over the phone and Danny chuckles at the response.
“Right, well your name is Danny right?”
“Yeah! Have you talked to my family yet?” They were all home the last he checked, and Jazz usually tells him before she heads out.
“No, haven’t left your room. Your name was on your homework though.”
“Oh, please do not judge the homework.” Danny rubs a hand down his face just thinking of that - his homework- being his soulmate's first real impression of him.
“Didn’t even look at that part. So, I’m assuming that you guys are coming to me?”
Danny shakes off the embarrassment “I think so?”
“Of course we are!”,  “Was he not paying any attention as we decided who should go?”, “We were just planning.” There are so many people talking at once again.
 Danny pulls his face away from the phone and turns to the room at large “Stop it, buzz off!”. He turns to face a wall and takes a few steps away.  “They said yes.”
“Please tell me they’re not all planning on coming.”
Danny hums, focused on something else. “Look, I do need to warn you…” what if he goes ghost, can he go ghost with Jason in his body? What are his parents working on today? “ about a few things actually. Jazz, my sister, her room is across the hall and she’ll be able to help you if you. I sort of have… like a medical condition. I would rather explain that to you in person, but she’ll watch out for you if you go meet her.”
“I can do that. Anything I should look out for?” Weird ice mist coming out of your mouth would be pretty unexplainable at the moment, but random things shooting at him can be avoided!
“My parents leave all kinds of weapons around the house, and sometimes they’ll target me-you- at random, so try not to touch anything, and either stay upstairs or have my sister take you somewhere in town. Whatever you do, don’t go in the basement, the lab is down there.” Almost everything in that lab is to be avoided, although since he is already in Danny’s body he shouldn’t be bothered by the potential radiation.
“Kid, what?”
“This is really an in-person talk.”
Danny does not know how he would explain this over the phone, with a room of eavesdroppers behind him. Although they’ve become respectfully quiet, more whispers than anything now.
“Sure, okay. Find Jazz, preferably leave the house.”
“Yep!” That would be best, Jazz will definitely help him. “Is there anything I should know?”
“Shit, if I had time I would give you a warning about everyone in my family individually, but for now… I don’t know if this will translate over…” It will, but there’s really no way to explain that. “I have… I guess it’s sort of a health condition as well. My family knows what triggers it, and they should be on their best behavior right now anyways, but if you wouldn’t mind putting someone on the phone I can threaten them properly.”
Danny laughs and puts the phone on speaker before calling out to the room, “You’re on speaker!” so everyone in the room knows as well as Jason.
“I swear to god if any of you scare him, hurt him, or anything I’m going to kill you. I know everything you love and if you don’t act normal, just know, it will be destroyed.”
“Yeah, yeah. Jay, this is your soulmate!” Dick has bounded back over to Danny, right up in the personal space.
“Also, most of us love you so that threat doesn’t work as well as you think it does.” Steph yells from the table, where she continued eating at some point.
“Bitch, I died once, I’ll do it again. Don’t test me on this right now.”
Danny starts laughing so hard he doesn’t register everyone else in the room having frozen at the outburst.
“Oh, wow, same.” Danny gets out once he can breathe again.
The room is staring at him again, but they seem to do that a lot.
“You must be Jazz.” They hear coming through the phone. “I’m Jason.”
“Jazz!” Danny calls out.
“Danny would like to talk to you.” There’s a small shuffle.
“Danny?”
“Hey, Jazz! So, apparently I’m the younger, so today’s the day. I’m with his family right now.”
“You have a plan? Are you coming home?”
“Yeah, just. Would you mind keeping an eye on Jason until I get there? It’s going to be a long drive so could you make sure nothing shoots him and that he gets edible food?”
“I’ll take him to Nasty for dinner, don’t worry.” Danny sighs in relief, he knew Jazz would help, but he did not need his soulmate food fighting with dinner.
“Sounds good, he’s in my body so he shouldn’t really be poisoned but Mom and Dad still can’t really cook. Speaking of which! He is in my body so if anything happens with the, um, medical condition, help him through that as well.”
“Of course, Danny.”
“Thanks Jazz! We were just deciding who was coming along, but apparently, it's about a 12-hour drive? So, you guys won’t see us until tomorrow.”  There’s a lot unspoken in this conversation, but Danny knows she’ll do her best. “Try not to interrogate him, and no psychoanalyzing!”

I got something of a prompt for you soulmate au where Danny rejects Jason as his soulmate
The question is why? Is it a "we've never even met before so why has my soulmate rejected me?" Fic or a "Oh my stars! You're that guy who put a bunch of severed heads in a bag" thing? Perhaps its a Jason has a pit rage episode that leads to: "You punched me in the face. I promised myself and Jazz that if anyone im dating ever becomes physically violent with me I'd dump them immediately" situation?
All are juicy

DP X DC WRITING PROMPT #20
(#) = Notes at the end of post
(*) = Other ideas relating to the prompt
To Let Sleeping Dogs Lie
Jason stayed dead for about six months before he was resurrected. That left his spirit plenty of time to fully manifest in the ghost zone, but time flows a little weird in the Infinite Realms so it feels like he's been dead a lot longer.
Regardless, six months is enough time for him to make plenty of friends and enemies alike. Enough to fall head over heals for the white-haired boy named Danny who just so happens to also be his king. Enough time for Jason and Danny to finally confess their feelings for each other and form a relationship. Enough time for them to grow to adore each other down to their very cores. Enough time for Jason to become the King's consort and earn the title of Prince of the Infinite Realms.
Not enough time, however, when Jason's spirit is unwillingly dragged back to the broken husk of his body buried in a coffin six feet under. Not enough time when the sheer amount of trauma his body and mind suffered causes his memories of the afterlife to sift out like grains of sand through a colander, mindless in his continued existence and search for a man named Bruce that he only half recalls.
Not enough time for when his body is stolen and dunked into the foulist pools of ectoplasm to ever surface in the living world and he comes back with unbridled rage he only half understands. Where is he? Where was he? Why does green flood his vision? Something is missing but why can't he remember? He shouldn't be here. Why was he here?? (1)
Jason tries to navigate his way through the world he'd previously left behind and discovers what happened after his death. The Joker was still alive. Another child was running around in a traffic light costume in the dead of night. Bruce had replaced him, seeming to forget he ever existed and the consequences of training a child to be a vigilante. That just won't do. He cries. He rages. He plans.
Meanwhile, the King of the Infinite Realms is apocalyptic over the fact that his lover was ripped from his arms, their kingdom, their home. He can sense Jason's torment like echoes in a cave. Can sense when his body enters the fringes of his territory when dunked into the toxic Lazarus waters created by the previous king. How dare they taint his lover's spirit with such filth?! Danny's core rears its head, chanting, growling to protect his soulmate.
Danny is beyond unhappy and he's about to make it everyone's problem.

(1) Jason forgets everything he experienced in the afterlife with Danny and is even more confused than he previously would have been when resurrected. Memories only come back to him in bits and pieces when he comes into contact with beings of the supernatural and Danny himself or possibly when he sleeps.
(*) I believe an interesting way to show the events and progression for this prompt would be to switch back and forth between the current events of Under the Red Hood/Phantom's anger and the days they spent together in the Infinite Realms before they were literally torn away from each other. Either as standalone info or through the dreams Jason has as he sleeps but doesn't remember when he wakes.
The events of Under the Red Hood still happen, there's just the question of where he even was for the six months that he was dead added into the equation. Dead on Main tossed in there for flair, because why not? Been seeing a lot of "Jason becomes Danny's Fright Knight" fics, but I wanna see one where they're literally just a royal couple who rule the Infinite Realms with a just and fair hand.

DP x DC Prompt: Soulmate Wings AU
Ever since coming back to life from the Lazarus Pits, Jason had always felt off-kilter. Initially he just attributed it to his changed appearance via the Pits and eventually adapted, yet still the feeling lingered. Even after reuniting and beginning the process of reconciliation with his family, the off-balance feeling still remained. Of course, he kept this a secret from everyone else, never breathing a word to his team nor to his family, least of all Bruce. That is, until one night while on patrol as Red Hood, he encounters a glowing meta, with floating white hair that seemed to defy gravity, and eyes that shone an intense Lazarus green. But what was truly prominent of the meta's appearance, was the shimmering ethereal blue-gold phoenix wings that sprouted from the shoulder blades.
More ideas/headcanons:
Jason's ghost form and Danny's ghost forms have wings, neither human forms have wings. Both have phoenix wings, Jason's in fire of red orange yellow, and Danny's in blue and gold for his ice and electricity (inspired by ice phoenix designs).
Danny can see Jason's wings (and therefore is able to identify Jason as his soulmate), but whether Jason can see Danny's will be up to interpretation. If Jason can, it would be interesting to see him bewildered and trying to research into it, maybe pulling Duke along due to his meta powers. Which eventually leads to the rest of the Batfam finding out. Babs and Tim start their own research while the rest of the Batfam teases Jason relentlessly. If Jason can't, it would still endlessly confuse him due to Dannys attempts at wooing him and concern the Batfam with the disturbing number of gifts being sent to Jason.
Once Danny realizes Jason is his soulmate, he starts trying to woo Jason. But since he really only knows Jason is his soulmate via his ghostly form, he attempts to ghostly court Jason, which gets misinterpreted by the Batfam as possible threats towards Jason's safety. Like, Jason just gets sent ominous presents with no explanation with themes and symbols relating to death. In one instance along with the usual death presents he also gets a red duck candle allegedly able to ward off any demons in the vicinity.
Most interactions between these two are when Danny's Phantom and Jason's Red Hood. Although Danny's wings would be on full display, Jason's would mostly be an outline until the Pit becomes agitated and flares up, in which the wings become more visible (and possible other ghost traits may appear). There may be a few civilian interactions thrown here and there in which it's possible that both are able to see at least a faint outline of what appears to be wings on the other.
Danny's presence may also influence the Pit. Whether he makes its effects better or worse will be up to interpretation.

You didn't know? Part 2
Soulmate AU | at age 18 you stop aging until you find your soulmate {with some twists}
Part 1 | Next Part
He was 15 when his soulmate died.
It wasn't for that long the only reason he noticed is because of who he is. He's been obsessed with soulmates for quite awhile, a lot of his books did cover the magic of soulmates. Besides he is The Boy Wonder, the one who believes Robin is magic.
Of course he'd pay attention to the importance of a soulmate. To every little possible thing about the bond between two souls. Because having a soulmate is the only thing that he had when he was just Jason Todd the kid from Crime Alley.
Jason wanted to protect his soulmate, being Robin helps him towards his goal. But right now that goal is on hold...
25...24...23...
Right now he wanted his dad.
17...16...15...
Where is his dad? Where is B?
10...9...8...
Jason was hurting, he was injured very bad.
3...2...1...
Jason died at 15 with a cry for his dad and a apology to his soulmate on his lips.
Authors Note: I am doing more parts, I am trying to reclaim/relearn writing after the American Education System ruined it for me. Is it perfect no, but also once I am done I will read any peoples additions to this. But until then I cannot or I will not be able to finish this.

The Red String of Fate Hits a Snag
Chapter 1
(TW: Swearing and some abuse, implied drug use)
“Mama! Mama!”
“Jason, shhh. You know Daddy doesn’t like when you shout.” Catherine said, grabbing her little boy’s hand and tugging him closer to her and out of reach of her husband.
“But Mama! I was a baby!” Jason exclaimed, his eyes bright with childlike wonder.
“Damn idiot brat,” Willis growled in irritation. “Course you were a baby, had to come from somewhere didn’t ya? Expensive as fuck little shit you were with all those diapers.”
“No Daddy! I was a baby now! I was playing but then I was somewhere else and I was a baby!”
“What the hell is he babbling about now?” Willis asked.
Catherine winced, hoping this wasn’t going to start a fight. “What do you mean honey? Did you see a baby out the window?”
“No Mama! I didn’t see a baby! I was a baby! But the baby was there too?” Jason’s little face scrunched up in thought. “I was there and the baby was there but we were both the baby. There was a lady there too…that must’ve been his Mama! She called him Danny.”
“Oh,” Catherine said a bit breathlessly. She hadn’t expected this… Jason had a soulmate?
“You tryin’ to say you had a vision?” Willis scoffed and stood up, crossing the room to loom over Catherine and Jason sitting on the couch. “You lyin’ to us boy?”
“No Daddy! I’m not lyin’”
Catherine held her breath as Willis’s face contorted in anger. He reached out and roughly grabbed Jason’s arm.
“You’re makin’ it up you little brat!”
“But”
“No! You listen here!” Willis shook Jason slightly. “Crime alley kids don’t have soulmates ya hear me?! None a that fairy tale shit happens to us so I don’t wanna hear any more lies outta you. You got it?”
“But Daddy…”
Willis gripped his arm bruisingly tighter. “Crime Alley kids Don’t. Got. Soulmates. Say ‘yes sir’.”
“Yes sir,” Jason said quietly.
“Good, now get”, Willis released Jason’s arm and went back to his chair, popping open another beer as he sat down.
Catherine quietly herded Jason towards the kitchen and picked him up to sit on the counter while she grabbed an ice pack from the freezer.
“Wasn’t lyin’ Mama’” Jason said sullenly as she pressed the ice pack to his arm.
Catherine swallowed and glanced at the door hoping Willis wasn’t listening. They were running low on money again and he’d been stewing about it all day. She didn’t want to set him off again.  “It’s not a lie if you’re playin’ make believe baby.”
“I wasn’t playin’ make believe Mama! It was real!”
“Shhh Jason, you don’t want to upset your Daddy do you?…it’s okay to play make believe…you’ve got a real good imagination and Mama’s proud of you okay?”
“But…” Jason wavered looking confused. “Mama…it was real.”
“Shhh honey, lotsa things seem real when they aren’t. Now why don’t you be a good boy and go play in your room? Mama’s gotta take her medicine.”
“Okay…”
Catherine lifted Jason down from the counter and patted his head as he walked towards his room. She felt guilty for lying to him but it was all for the best. This way Willis would be happy and Jason would be safe. Besides, he was so small he probably wouldn’t even remember this and he’d have other chances to find his soulmate someday.
