Acotar Rant
Whenever I see shit like ‘Tamlin is depressed and wants to die because Feyre left him’ ‘He’s so desperate for Feyre and that’s whats driven him to this point.’ All I can think is, do we just collectively think Tamlin is immune to trauma??
To even grasp this situation you have to go way back before the book even starts. Tamlin was preyed on by the pedophile that helped ruin his childhood who then cursed him because he told her no.
He then had to watch all his close friends die in vain for him while he desperately searched for decades for another solution. He brought in refugees fleeing from other Courts. He. Carried. His. Dead. Citizens. And. Hand. Buried. Them. And he had to do it all without ever being able to fall apart.
The Feyre came along, and he learned to care for her. He didnt want her to just be used to break the curse because he didnt want to just be using her. He fell in love with a person that saw past the mask (both figuratively and literally) and allowed him a safe space. One that had long ago been stripped from him.
Then she was sexually assaulted, tortured and killed in front of him. He watched the love of his life die for him and he was completely unable to do anything about it.
Then he was given another chance to protect her and he took it. Granted this is not to excuse his actions, but there has to be some nuance given to the fact that he watched her literally die and was by the grace of God given another chance.
Then this same girl that he loved and desperately wanted to protect from the same thing happening again, was kidnapped. This same woman then tricked him into believing she had once again been raped by the same monster who assaulted her under the mountain and killed his family.
The very same woman then mind raped his sentries, his friends, and then proceeded to destroy his Court which he had spent decades trying everything in his power to protect, from the inside out. Then allowed Hybern to rampage through, destroying a neighbouring Court in the process.
He had to watch his people die all over again, when Feyre lied to him, he saw her dying under the mountain all over again. And he still went to war! He was spying on Hybern and gave over vital information about them to the High lords!
Then he dragged Beron out by his neck to fight for Prythian.
And when all was said and done he helped bring back the monster that had destroyed him mentally all for the sake of the girl that had killed his people.
Then he left them all alone in the end. Spring was abandoned and him along with it. This man, who very clearly has abandonment issues from the fact he was rejected by his family and beat within an inch of his life to the point he ran from home to the War Camps, was left completely by himself.
Lucien does come to see him once every now and again, but I also don’t blame Tamlin for not wanting him too. Considering even though Lucien had extremely valid reasons for leaving when he did, he still left Spring for dead without an explanation.
In the end, it is not ‘Tamlin needs to get over himself and his ex’ its Tamlin needs an extreme amount of mental help. He is a survivor as much as the rest of them.
Not even Feyre was able to recover from her mental health without a ton of fucking help. No one was, everyone got their support groups in the end
Tamlin went through it all without ever taking himself into consideration and still made it. He deserves to be able to fall apart.

I can't let you go
pairing: wooyoung x reader (gender-neutral)
genre: sweet, fluff, mentions of drunk wooyoung
description: drunk wooyoung comes home clingy and missing you
a/n: can’t stop thinking about cute domestic life w wooyoung so i had to write this ^_^
Most Friday nights you went out with Wooyoung and his friends but tonight you were in bed asleep by 9pm instead. Going out to a bar or someone’s house to play games was what you and Wooyoung usually do on Friday nights while leaving the rest of the weekend for just you two. Although you know nobody will be upset at you for not going tonight, you still feel bad. Wishing you could go and be with everyone without struggling to stay away.
Being a kindergarten teacher was not easy and this week was especially long since it was the first week back after spring break. The kids were hard to manage because they were grumpy and had too much energy. You were exhausted from this week and all you wanted to do was sleep the weekend away.
Hours after you fell asleep you woke up to the sound of banging and what sounded like someone stumbling around. You got out of bed to see what was happening and to make sure Wooyoung was okay since you figured it was him coming home. Walking into the entrance area your thoughts were confirmed as you see Wooyoung leaning one hand on the wall trying to get his shoes off but failing.
“Wooyoung?” you whispered trying to catch his attention.
He looks up and instantly smiles so wide and forgets about his shoes as he stumbles towards you, “baby! baby i missed you”
The impact of his body crashing against yours in a tight hug almost made you fall over but you held him up against you. You giggled at this and Wooyoung pulled back to look you in the face. His eyes were barely open and he had a soft lovesick look on his face. Wooyoung was an energetic drunk, he was loud and fun for awhile but after a couple hours he turned soft and mellow. This means with you he was extra soft and clingy, not letting you go.
“You’re back already woo? It’s only midnight baby”
He cupped your face in his hands and pouted, “i missed you too much, i couldn’t bear to be without you anymore.”
“okay woo, let’s get you to bed now” you laugh and grab his hands so you can sit him down and take off his shoes. As you take off his shoes and jacket Wooyoung tells you about everything that happened while he was out. It makes you giggle because he is slurring his words and jumping from topic to topic.
In the bathroom to wash up before going to bed he wraps his arms around you from behind, nuzzling his face into your neck.
“I can’t help you wash up if you are hugging me” right when you say this Wooyoung started whining shaking his head.
“Nooo, i want to be close to you!” he whined, “you’re so warm and soft, i can’t let you go”
You remove his hands from your waist and moved him to stand beside you at the sink while telling him “you can hug and be as close as you want when we get in bed”
He was still pouting but didn’t put up a fight. Putting a hairband on him to push his hair back you admire his face before leaning close to leave kisses. The bathroom is filled with giggles from Wooyoung as you continue to kiss all over his face. You pull away to finish washing him up and you can’t help but feel happy as you take care of him. Dating Wooyoung for the past five years has been the best time of your life. It’s at times like these, in these soft moments, that make you appreciate your life with him even more.
Wooyoung is almost falling asleep by the time you get him to the bedroom and change his clothes into sleeping clothes. When you finally get him into bed and turn to leave for water he is immediately alert and grabs onto you.
“wait don’t go please” he pleads looking at you with confused sad eyes but before you can get a word in he continues talking, “please stay with me, i love you so much and i need you in my life and by my side forever.”
Tears start welling up in his eyes and you shush him before climbing into bed next to him, “it’s okay, i won’t leave you ever i promise”
“pinky promise?” he sniffs and holds out his pinky. You lock your pinky’s together before you both kiss your thumbs and he smiles pulling you close to him.
Combing your fingers through his hair Wooyoung sighs, “there’s nothing better than this, than being with you”
“i love you woo” you smile
“i love you lovey” he mumbles kissing you and hugging you close, “never letting you go”

“We’ve only been dating for three weeks, Y/N. I don’t see what the big deal is. We can just go back to being friends while I see how this plays out.”
“It doesn’t fucking work like that, Eddie! Not for something like this!”
You sighed, remembering that night four years ago as if it were yesterday.
The memory of all the pain, the hurt, the anger you felt back then rose up to the surface of your mind. You vividly remembered how sick you felt, how fuzzy your head became, how much your heart broke.
“If things don’t work out with Chrissy, we can pick this up right where we left off, I promise.”
But instead of making you rage or even have a panic attack, watching Eddie on stage from across the bar just made you sad.
Sad for so many years of friendship ended.
Sad for a romance that had only just begun.
And sad that looking at him still made your heart ache.
“I’m not going to settle for being second place, Eddie.”
It had all been so great at first, all those years ago. Eddie asking you out had been a dream come true after falling hard for him years before in middle school. While you knew he had a sweet side, you didn’t know how sweet until you were the object of his affection.
There were a few dates, a few hangouts, a few steamy nights in the back of his van. It was amazing and everything you had ever wanted with Eddie
But then he started dealing to the newly single head cheerleader at the start of Spring Break and soon it was all over.
Despite the fact they hadn’t spent time together since middle school, Eddie’s childhood crush on Chrissy Cunningham had carried over throughout the years. Seeing and talking to her on a regular basis brought it right back to the surface, especially once they began hanging out after each deal.
Since your relationship was so new, not many people had really figured out that the two of you had made the transition from best friends to lovers. The guys in Hellfire knew, your other best friends, Robin and Nancy, knew but that was really about it.
And so, when Eddie told you that Chrissy asked him out, you couldn’t be mad at her. It was an honest mistake, especially since you and Eddie were on the opposite end of the social caste from Chrissy.
However, you could be mad at Eddie since he told her yes.
It was the most bizarre experience of your life, listening to him tell you how much this meant to him having Chrissy notice him, and how excited he was about it, and how he knew with you being his best friend that you would understand that he had to see where things went with her.
You most certainly did not understand. Who would?
This resulted in an argument that ended all aspects of your relationship with Eddie, both the long term friendship and the new romance.
Once the words were said and ties were severed, you were both quiet as you gathered up the belongings you had left at the trailer over the years. You were quiet as you walked through the living room, passing by were Eddie sat on the couch, eyes downcast. You were quiet when you walked out the front door, careful like you always were to not let the screen door slam behind you.
And you somehow managed to stay quiet until you were alone in the confines of your room, where the dam finally broke.
Luckily, you only had to put up with seeing them together at school for a little over one month. Once you all graduated, you hadn’t seen Eddie at all except for in passing, neither of you acknowledging the other.
Presently, your friend, Gina, elbowed you a bit roughly in the ribs.
“Hey, no sad faces on my birthday!” she giggled at you, already a bit tipsy.
“Hmm?” you said, finally breaking your gaze away from Eddie to look at her. “Oh! Sorry.”
“You alright?” she said, eyeing you worriedly. “For a second there, you looked like you were about to charge the stage and punch that lead singer in the mouth.”
The visual her words conjured up in your brain made you chuckle, but you shook your head.
“Nah,” you said. “That song just reminded me of someone I used to know.”
Gina nodded knowingly and patted you on the arm. She understood all too well what kind of power music had. Sensing the need to cheer you up, she broke off that line of questioning and steered you back into the conversation at the table, which steered your thoughts away from Eddie.
The conversation flowed for the remainder of Corroded Coffin’s set, as well as afterwards. Once the band was offstage and the sound system switched back over to the jukebox, it was a lot easier to hear each other.
Having spotted you in the crowd, it wasn’t long before Gareth, Jeff and Grant made their way over to you to say hello.
They never stopped being your friends after the breakup. They had been just as surprised as you by it, always figuring the two of you would end up together, and we’re a bit angry about the whole thing.
So angry, in fact, that when Chrissy broke up with Eddie two months after graduation, Jeff called to excitedly tell you all about it.
Chrissy thought they were just too different. They didn’t have much in common, she said. Their interests were too varied, their life goals on different paths.
While you could have told Eddie all of that yourself beforehand, and did, you didn’t feel vindicated like Jeff sounded.
No, you actually felt really bad for Eddie as Jeff was filling you in about it all.
Despite how hurt you were, you did still care about Eddie and you really hoped it would work out for them. You didn’t want Eddie to go through what he put you through. Plus, now he had to live with the knowledge that he sacrificed one of his oldest friendships with someone who truly loved him for nothing.
Okay, so, maybe you were a little vindictive and that latter bit was nothing more than wishful thinking on your part, nut everyone has dark thoughts like that from time to time when they have been hurt.
But, from the sound of it, Jeff was feeling vindictive enough that he really wanted Eddie to think about that exact thing, too.
“Give him a few months,” he said. “He’s going to realize how much of a dumbass he was. You’ll have him back before you know it.”
“Jeff,” you sighed. “I don’t want him back.”
“Don’t you still love him?” he asked. “Four months isn’t long enough to get over someone you liked that much for so long.”
He was right and there was no point in trying to deny it.
“Of course I do,” you said. “But no matter what, I’d always be his second choice. I would think about that every day, that he’s only with me because Chrissy didn’t want him anymore. I’m not going to do that to myself.”
Thankfully, the topic never came up again, but you were even more thankful that Jeff’s prediction didn’t come true. Eddie never tried to contact you in the years since then.
The guys didn’t visit for long before going to hang out with their friends who came out to see them play.
After some time had passed, the bar had gotten busier and the noise level of the crowd started to get under your skin. You excused yourself away from your friends to step outside for a cigarette and a bit of fresh air.
Not long after you settled back against the building to smoke, you heard the door of the bar open.
“Those things will kill you, you know,” came a familiar voice.
You looked over to see Eddie walking towards you, lighting his own cigarette.
“So I’ve heard,” you said, taking a drag off yours.
Eddie came to a stop near you and, leaving a few feet between you, also leaned against back the building.
“Nice night tonight,” he said, looking up at the sky.
“Yeah, it is,” you agreed, as you gazed across the parking lot.
And then silence.
While you’d imagined what you would say to Eddie if he ever talked to you again plenty of times, you found that you weren’t as riled up by his presence as you’d pictured yourself in those scenarios. You felt pretty neutral about his presence, not really bothered by it except to wonder why he followed you out here.
You didn’t have to wait long to find out.
“Hey, um,” Eddie said, breaking the silence. “I just wanted to say, I’m sorry I was such a dick to you. That was a bullshit move I pulled, and I’m really sorry.”
You turned your head to look at him. Eddie was still looking at the sky but lowered his gaze to meet yours. You could see that he was genuine. It was all over his face and in his eyes.
While you’d also imagined what you would say on what you thought was the incredibly rare off chance you ever got an apology from Eddie, you suddenly realized none of those responses you always saw yourself saying seemed appropriate anymore.
Instead, you nodded politely to him.
“Thank you,” you said. “I really appreciate that.”
Eddie nodded in return, then you both looked away to stare at the pavement.
Neither of you spoke again until after you had finished your cigarette and ground it out on the sidewalk with your heel.
“Hey, Y/N?”
You looked by over to Eddie to find him watching you with a nervous expression.
“Would you ever want to go out sometime?”
You stared at him for a moment, seriously thinking it over. He watched you, waiting patiently for your answer.
This was another one of those scenarios you had thought of often, especially after Jeff had put the idea in your mind. But, unlike all those other scenarios you had thought of, this one you never could imagine how you would react to.
After you thought it over, you met his gaze and slowly shook your head.
“I told you, Eddie,” you said. “I won’t settle for second place.”
The disappointment was evident in his face, but he nodded understandingly.
“Can’t blame a guy for asking, can ya?” he asked, throwing you a halfhearted grin.
“No, I can’t,” you agreed, but didn’t return his smile.
You walked past him to head back inside, but then stopped halfway to the door. A spark of anger suddenly ignited into a tiny fire in your brain. It took a lot longer than anyone would’ve thought, but Jeff’s prediction had come true.
And, after four years of radio silence, that suddenly struck you as the most ridiculous thing you had ever heard.
Suddenly, you found yourself turning around.
“Hey, Eddie?” you said, keeping your voice steady despite your sudden anger. “Can I ask you something?”
He turned to you with a hopeful look on his face.
“Anything, sweetheart.”
It took you a moment to figure out the way you wanted to phrase your question.
In the meantime, you looked him over while he patiently waited. You couldn’t deny he was as gorgeous as ever, especially when he was still flushed and hot from the flushed high of adrenaline of performing on stage.
Briefly, your mind flickered back to the memories of the nights you came to see Corroded Coffin perform while you were dating. Eddie nearly ravaged you after each show, leaving you sore, walking slow and grinning for days.
Judging from the slight dilation of his eyes, and the way they kept flickering to key spots on your body, you knew all it would take is a word from you and his lips would be at your throat, his hands wandering all over your body in all the places you’ve missed them.
But even as your anger drained away as you looked at him, you decided you needed to know the answer now that the question crossed your mind.
“Looking back on it now,” you said slowly, keeping your tone even and measured. “Was it all worth it?”
Eddie studied your face for a moment then his expression fell into one of regret as sighed sadly and looked down at the ground.
Even though he said nothing, he spoke volumes. It was all you needed for an answer.
You turned around and went back inside the bar, not feeling any happier now in the least.

you had been well aware of these strange things that went on in hawkins. hell you were involved since the day will byers went missing.
you were friends with steve, worked with him during summer where you made your new friend robin. until a human meat monster comes in along with russians torturing the three of you while two kids try to save you.
but that’s in the past now. or at least you tried to put it in the past, newsflash. it didn’t work with everyone reminding you about it or talking about it like it’s the new hot gossip. while you were practically over with your junior year of high school. it was finally time for spring break. you were so close only one day left! although there were some cons to this spring break ahead of you. for some reason you had been starting to see things. clocks for some reason? your nightmares, the headaches, the random clock that would show up, a magic wizard killing teens…
you could get away from the school for two weeks that’s so exciting. it’s even better now that you don’t have to see the boy that had been pushing away from you. your ex eddie. it was hard to walk past his table to get to either max or robin without dustin or mike calling your name. while he was present.
finally. the day was over, max invited you over for a little sleepover it sucked that she lived right beside eddie. the two of you were feeding her dog when his van pulled up. making the both of you turn, and you saw him hoping out locking eyes with one another. before he walked into his uncles trailer.
then seeing another presence following him, the girl you knew eddie had been ditching you for, chrissy. you didn’t blame her though, it was actually far from her fault. max placed her hand on your shoulder. “y/n, you ok?” you let out an agitated sigh “yeah i’m fine” flashing her a small smile. “how about we get ready for bed and watch a horror movie.”
however the power started acting weird. and the two of you heard eddie scream the watch him drive off like a crazy person but just continued on with your night.
you didn’t even get to finish the movie without the two of you being knocked out. a nightmare had taken you once again. this time you were in a long hallway with doors plastered from left to right. and a grandfather clock inside of the wall at the end of the hall. it felt like it kept getting further and further. and that noise no matter how far the wall was the noise just kept getting louder as if it were right beside you.
a door to the right creaked open and there were your friends. however they were dead with flies coming out of their mouths while swarming their bodies. you watched in horror the sight was sickening. while trying to leaving the room you were met with a door slammed shut.
and a deep voice behind you. “you’re next, but don’t worry. i’ll take the pain away.” “w-what?” it felt like the floor was snatched beneath you.
you were falling for what it felt like an eternity before shooting up on the bed while sweat beads were rested on your forehead while it felt like something was punching our skull over, and over. “holy fuck.” max wasn’t beside you anymore or she was probably out in the kitchen.
police sirens were heard in the distance but got louder as the approached a near house. following the noises max caught sight of you and the two teenagers ushered outside. they were at eddie’s house.
“looks like that munson boy’s up to no good again.” while his uncle sat in the porch looking stressed, or traumatized even. y/n and max took a closer look the scene in front of them made their stomachs churn. Chrissy cunninghams lifeless body sat right there on the floor. it felt like the world went quiet until an officer came scared them back into the house. “you kids can’t be out here, get back inside.”
y/n and max had a feeling this had to do with the past encounters they had before. there was no way a human could possibly do what had been done on that poor girl.
“ok, what the fuck did we just see.” y/n said as calm as one could be. max was struggling to form the words that were going on in her mind. “we should go see dustin.”
“Chrissy cunningham?! you’re sure it was her?” “yes, she was in her cheerleader outfit when we saw her with eddie.” “you tell all this to the cops?” dustins voice sounded unsure about this information pacing back and forth. “no, no but we can be the only ones that saw them. i mean, they stick out like a sore thumb”.
“Eddie the freak. and chrissy the cheerleader.” “Eddie’s probably suspect number one right now.” the boys facial expressions changed like a gust of wind knocked his hat off. “no way, eddie didn’t do this” max’s face made an iffy expression. “no. way.” “honestly, i don’t really think eddie did it either.” y/n spoke with agreeing with dustin. “i mean we saw her body there’s no way any person could possibly do this.”
“well we can’t rule it out.” “yes we can.” “the only person nice to mike and i when we got to high school was eddie.” “they said the same thing about ted bundy.” y/n’s head tilted and eyes narrowed looking at max.
“are you comparing him to ted bundy?” “n-no! we just can’t presume anything plus it doesn’t look good for eddie.” the three teenagers took a seat on the bed “why didn’t you guys tell this to the cops.” they sighed. “something happened, in the house. the power went crazy. and we heard eddie scream then drive off like a maniac.”
“what if this wasn’t something you could see.” y/n stuttered. “but that’s impossible plus the only person that actually knows.” “eddie”.
the three of them went rushing out of the house not before Ms. henderson scolded them “dusty where are you kids going? you heard the news it’s not safe.” “you’re right so we’ll be extra careful. thanks mom, i love you bye.”
the trio sped off to the video shop. “y/n what are you doing here? it’s your day of-“ max cut steve off “steve we need the phones, all of them.” robins and steve’s eyebrows knitted together. “huh?”
dustin jumped over the counter the the three older ones yelling at him. “guys you could play around out here on monday but it’s saturday our busiest day.” dustin ignored them and continued looking up eddie’s friends phone numbers.
“yeah do one of you wanna strangle him or should i do it.” steve said glancing from robin to y/n. “guys fill them in.” “fill us in on what..?”
now all of them were on the phone with his friends. while steve was flirting with customers. until max got someone ‘reefer rick’ however they knew nothing about this man. till steve recommends the police. “we’re trying to prove him innocent steve.” now the five of them surrounded the computer narrowing out all the ricks in the system.
after finding one that might just be the one they sped down to the home by lovers lake.
even though y/n hated eddie for falling out of love with them and the way they had to find out. the way he was so up front about it.
the two of them met up in the woods behind the school whenever they could. y/n quickly picked up when he wasn’t showing up to dates, or movie nights, never kissing them, or picking up calls. watching him share a glance or two with chrissy.
“you’re dealing to chrissy now?” y/n said looking up from the book in front of them. “that’s shocking.” eddie shook his head in agreement. “just don’t leave me for her.” y/n joked trying to see him laugh instead he hit them with a scoff and rolled his eyes. “seriously y/n” “what? i’m just messing with you.”
oh and y/n knew all about his little crush from middle school.
they had agreed to meet up at their spot in the woods unbeknownst that they would find him there with chrissy. watching from a distance to where they did see them they saw eddie being all cheerful, happy, he was giggling and she was too, eddie was giving her the opposite of what he was giving to y/n.
they watched their boyfriend have a wider smile on his face than the one he gave them in the morning. y/n walked back not caring if a twig broke turning their attention onto them. chrissy didn’t seem to hear it from her laughter but eddie heard it. and caught sight of his partners figure get smaller and smaller with every step they took. he knew he was royally fucked.
“hey sorry but i need to be heading home.” the deal was cut short and he raced after them with chrissy going in the opposite direction. luckily for him he was able to catch up. “hey y/n wait!” he spoke quietly grabbing their shoulder and turning them around. “just leave me alone eddie. i’m tired of this.” “tired of what?” y/n swayed their head with a sarcastic smile and laugh. “you keep forgetting about me for her. don’t even try and say it was just a deal. because you know it wasn’t. just fuck off at this point.”
“no, no, no, no. don’t walk away. i’ll make it up to you, i promise i will.”
the first time they had hung out in what felt like months y/n felt him pulling away. “eddie” his eyes tore from the screen to look y/n in the eyes. “hm?” “why don’t we go on dates anymore?” he looked at the ground. “uhm don’t know i guess we’re too busy.” they winced at that stupid excuse and let a single tear hold down their cheeks. “that’s such bullshit.”
his heart rate picked up. “what?” “i know you don’t want me eddie. you want her. why won’t you just admit it? were you set on leading me on until i couldn’t take it anymore?” he was at loss for words while being met with questions he could never answer without straight up saying ‘i don’t know’. “i-well.” he stumbled over his words. he looked guilty. “you don’t want me eddie. do you?” “i- i’m sorry y/n. i don’t love you anymore.” that was the last straw. “you should’ve just broke it off with me. you wasted my time.”
they grabbed their shoes lacing the strings and opened up the door. “wait- don’t leave. it’s raining let me drive you home and we can talk.” the door shut. and y/n walked home tears that night. 7 months of their life. wasted for nothing. and for what?
the next few days were absolute hell. it sucked you were good friends with dustin and mike, because he was too, they caught on fast when they weren’t showing up to the campaigns anymore and scolded eddie. all they wanted to do was go home but was stop by mike.
“y/n do you have a minute?” “no.” they just stopped hanging out with them altogether.
those words would repeat over and over again. but the real question was why does y/n care so damn much? very valid question as surely most people would turn away and not give a shit.
they pulled up to an empty house on liptom. “looks like no one’s in the-“ dusting started banging on the door. yelling out his name. when y/n saw a shed. “hey guys? i’m gonna look in the shed.” max followed behind feeling like it was necessary.
the place had food wrappers and they started analyzing it. till steve started poking the tarp with an ore. “he might be in here.” “hey i think someone was here.” “maybe he got spooked and ran away.” “don’t worry steve with help us with his ore.” with a figure popping out from under a blanket.
half scaring them all to shit. “wait wait wait.” “EDDIE STOP ITS DUSTIN!” forcing steve to drop the ore. “it’s my friends you know robin from band. this is max the one that never wants to play d&d and you know n/n obviously.” he said trying to lighten up the mood. “i swear on my mothers life.” the younger guy said ushering everyone else to agree with him. “yeah, yeah we swear on dustin’s mother.”
eddie sat down and was shaking and flinched at the touch of dustin’s hand. “we just want to know what happened.” y/n said taking a closer step. “you won’t believe me.”
“try us.”
“her body just- lifted up into the air. and just stayed in the air. and her bones started to snap.” he paused “it was like something was inside her head. pulling. and i left her there.”
he was looking from dustin to robin to max and steve but refusing to make eye contact with y/n. “you all probably think i’m crazy.” “no we actually think the opposite eddie.” “don’t bullshit me.” “we aren’t we believe you.”
they start explaining the upside down. and how hawkins isn’t totally a good place. y/n bent to his level “the monsters have been back before and if they’re back again. we need to know. did you see anything?” “like dark particles?” “like dust almost. swirling dust.”
“no man. it wasn’t anything you could see. or touch.” max and y/n exchanged a look. “i tried to wake her it’s like she was in a trance.” “a spell.” “a curse”
“vecna’s curse.”
“an undead wizard with great power.”
all of them were trying to piece together what the fuck was going on in this town. then dustin spoke up.
“we’ll get you some food and try to find some information. y/n i need to go stay here with eddie.” he said as if they had no choice and tossing a walkie-talkie into their hands. “WHAT THE FUCK? NO? i’m not staying here with him.” automatically protesting. “yeah i don’t really think that’s a good idea.” max said trying to defend y/n’s situation.
“he needs someone with him.” “yes i agree but that someone will not be me.” “y/n listen-“ eddie attempted to butt in the conversation but failed miserably. “shut up.” “i’m not staying here with him dustin.”
y/n watched the four of their “friends” drive away without them. “you gotta be fucking kidding me.” their intention was to talk to themselves but ended with eddie hearing it. “y/n can we just talk.” they ignored him by walking off into the house.
finding the closest room and slamming the door in his face. y/n spent the last hour talking to max on the walkie-talkie. “i can’t believe you let them drive off without me max. i’ll never forgive you for this one y’know.” “i know i’m sorry. it’s getting really late. i’m sorry again. goodnight.” y/n sighed to themself. “goodnight.”
slowly dozing off. before rudely interrupted by 4 soft knocks from the other side of them door. “please y/n i just want to talk.” he got no response. “i know you’re awake, i won’t come in but just listen to what i have to say.” y/n sat up and sat in front of the closed door keeping the two apart.
“i don’t need closure eddie. you already said it. you don’t love me anymore.” their voice cracked while eyes were brimmed with tears. lifting their hand up to lock the door that sat behind them. eddie heard the click. “you don’t have to respond y/n just listen to me.”
“ok look i’m sorry. i’m so so sorry, the second i realized i wanted chrissy and thought i fell out of love i should’ve broke it off. but i didn’t and i missed out on our dates, our movie nights. i missed everything i know. and i shouldn’t have. i wasn’t there for you. i lied. i wish there’s a way for me to go back and fix it but i can’t. you’re the most amazing person i’ll ever meet, and i was stupid enough to not see that.” there was a long pause.
“i was wrong y/n, i was wrong when i said i didn’t love you anymore. i still do and i realized this since you left my house that night, i shouldn’t have let you walk out..” the silence between them was awkward and uncomfortable. “i love you.”
their nose flared, what do you even say after your ex who told you no more than 5 weeks ago that he didn’t love you anymore, does in fact still love you?
“no you don’t eddie”.
he heard foot steps getting further from the door and shuffling noises from the bed and heard the lamp cut off. there’s no way he was recovering from this one anytime soon.

Asshole
Chris’s first impression was not great
A/n: I’ve had this idea saved in my drafts for an embarrassingly long time
Tumblr media
It was routine for anyone. You take your partner to meet someone, and the first question is always how did you two meet?
It got annoying with other relationships; having to embarrassingly admit you met on tinder or the boring we met in high school story that no one really cares about. Until your latest boyfriend came around and made the worst question one of your favorites.
“So, how did you two meet?” Your cousin asked excitedly, looking between the both of you. You looked over at Chris with a smirk as he rolled his eyes, letting you tell the story.
. . .
You were in Vegas. It was spring break, and you were relaxing by the pool, eagerly soaking in any noise that wasn’t a professors voice.
You had just ordered a drink when a body bumped past you. You turn in annoyance for a quick second before feeling your foot bump into something. Bending down, you pick up the wallet and realize the guy that bumped into your shoulder had dropped it.
“Hey,” you called for him, tapping his shoulder.
“I’m not taking any pictures,” he snapped, not bothering to turn around.
“But I just-“
“I’m not giving you anything,” he turned making you stop in your tracks as raised his voice slightly. “Just go away.”
He kept walking, as you held the wallet in your hand, tapping it against your palm a few times before finally opening it. Maybe you had the wrong person. You pulled out the identification.
Christopher Robert Evans
You continued looking through the wallet, trying to find a number of anyone you could contact, but there wasn’t any. “What an idiot,” you breathed out.
You have one last look in his direction, seeing that he had officially walked out of the pool area, and turned back to your sitting area where your friends were giving you strange looks.
“Where did you go?” She asked as the waiter brought you your drink. You gave him a quick thank you before turning back to your friends.
“Someone dropped their wallet, and when I tried to return it to that someone, he got very angry and basically stomped off like a child,” you shrugged.
Their brows furrowed in confusion. “Who?”
“Chris Evans,” you mouthed, unsure of who’s were ears may be listening. The girls eyes quickly widened in disbelief. “I couldn’t get anything out, he just starting screaming about no pictures. Like, I don’t want a fucking picture with you, I’m just trying to be a good person.”
“Should you take it to the cops, report it as lost?” One of the girls suggested.
“Probably,” you admit with a smirk. “But I could also hold onto it with the hopes of him coming back to look for it and make him answer for his actions.”
“You’re an asshole,” she giggled.
You shrugged, “he started it.”
You all went back up to your room a few hours later, showering and getting changed for dinner. You decided to wait for them in the hotel lobby, loving any chance you got to people watch in a city like Las Vegas. It didn’t take long to notice the tall man walking up to the front desk. You could hear him from where you sat, asking if any lost wallets had been turned in. You pulled it out of your purse, holding it up in the air for him to see.
You were the first thing his eyes landed on when he turned in frustration. It showed on his face that he remembered you, a look of realization falling over his features as he walked over to you.
“Take a cold shower?” You asked. “Seems you had some steam to blow off.”
He sighed, nodding his head. “I’m sorry. I just- I was having a bad day and so many people had been approaching me wanting something. It was no reason to get angry with you, but I just needed a break.”
“I understand,” you smile at him. “I’m no celebrity, but I’m sure it’s not easy.”
“So you aren’t angry,” he clarified, making you laugh.
“I was extremely annoyed at first, but no. I’m not mad at you.” You hand him the wallet back, and he stuffed it into his back pocket. “Not even gonna check if I took anything?” You joked.
He laughed. “I wouldn’t really be mad if you did. I’m the one that didn’t take it back when you tried.”
“Well, shit, give it back, I want a $20.”
You both burst into laughter at your sentence. “Maybe I can offer something better- I don’t have any plans tonight. Would you like to go to dinner with me? As an apology.”
You breathed in a sigh, wondering how you were supposed to reject a hot movie star. “I had actually-“
“Don’t say no!” Your friend shouted from behind Chris, startling the both of you. “She would love to go.”
Chris stood patiently waiting for your answer. “I would love to join you for dinner,” you answer finally, blushing when he offered his arm to you. Your friends silently cheered behind him as he turned to them.
“Promise not to keep her too long,” he said politely, as if they were your parents.
They flicked their hands and shook their heads. “Keep her as long as you want.” “Don’t even worry about it.”
Chris chuckled at their response and turned back to you. “See you later,” you waved at them as the two of you walked out of the hotel. As you reach the door, you turn back to mouth at them oh my god as they gave you thumbs up, mouthing back good luck.
“Compliments of the chef,” the waitress said, placing two spoons and a small plate with a slice of dessert on it between the two of you before turning fully to Chris. “He’s a big fan and actually showed up today in a Captain America shirt.”
Chris smiled shyly at that. “Well, let him know I say thank you, and the food was incredible.”
“I will. Um, and are you guys on two checks or one?” She asked looking between the two of you.
“Two,” you say, right as Chris says “one”.
You both look at each other, unwilling to let the other win. “I gave you so much trouble today, don’t worry about it.”
“It was not a big deal,” you tell him, pulling your card out of your bag. “Take my card,” you turn toward the waitress, feeling bad she had to stand through the situation.
“Don’t take her card,” he objected, holding his own out for the waitress to take.
She laughed awkwardly. “I’m sorry, but I have to stick with the girls,” she said as she grabbed both cards. “I’ll be right back.”
“I have to use the restroom really quick,” you excuse yourself, grabbing your phone but leaving your bag behind. You dial your friends number, hearing the dial tone barely ringing before they pick up.
How is it going?! Is he as amazing as he seems on tv? If y’all smush, can I watch? Omg, you better put out tonight!
“Oh my god,” you gasp as you’re bombarded with questions from your friends. “Fucking chill out. It’s not even a date. I doubt he’s trying to fuck me.”
“He’s a man, of course he is,” one of them replied, making you giggle. “But, whatever, tell us everything!”
You turn to look at yourself in the bathroom mirror, smiling softly thinking about the man waiting for you at the table. “He is a perfect gentleman. And I don’t ever want tonight to end.”
“Awww,” they both say. “Can we be bridesmaids when you get married?”
You roll your eyes, fixing your hair a little. “Don’t give me hope.”
“He likes you!” Your friend exclaimed, giving you the confidence boost you needed. “Any normal person would’ve said thanks, maybe give some cash as a reward, but that’s it. He wouldn’t have invited you to dinner if he didn’t like what he saw.”
“Liking what you see and liking the person they are, are two different things,” you shrug.
“And if he can’t see that you’re just as beautiful on the inside then he doesn’t deserve you. That’s his issue, not yours.”
You sigh, not knowing what else to say. “I really like him.”
“I can tell,” your friend laughed. “Don’t let it get in your way though. Stop being nervous, and just have fun.”
You nod, “you’re right. Okay, I got to get back. Thanks for the pep talk. I’ll see you guys later.”
You hang up, take on last look at yourself in the mirror, trying to freshen up as much as you could, and made your way back to the table.
“Sorry for taking so long. There were a ton of people in there,” you tell him as you sit back down, the waiters following soon after to return your cards and checks as she wished you both a good night.
The two of you signed off on the checks and left, taking your precious time walking back to the hotel. “Thank you for inviting me to dinner. I had a lot of fun,” you turn to look at him as you made it back, Chris offering to walk you all the way to your room door where you stood now.
“I had a great time, too,” he smiled at you and you could feel the blush coming to your face. “And I’m sorry, again, for being an asshole to you earlier. My mom would be so embarrassed.”
You giggle softly at the comment, finding it so sweet. “Well, she did a good job raising you.”
“Thanks,” he also softly chuckled. The both of you stood there for a second in silence as you held onto the hope that he would ask for your number. “Well, um, have a good night. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.”
“Thank you, you too,” you smile as you watch him turn and walk back towards the elevator as you unlocked the door, catching his eye contact as you step inside and close the door. “Did you hear everything you were hoping to hear?” You called out, knowing your friends had their ears against the door before you opened it.
“No, now sit your ass down and tell us how it went.”
You did as instructed, telling them everything, both to include them, but also in hopes of committing it to memory. Once they were pleased with the information they got, you took a shower and put on fresh clothes. You pull your journal out of your bag and toss it on the nightstand when you noticed something poke out the corner. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, you open the book to find out what it was.
It was a folded piece of paper that you opened to find two twenty dollar bills and a phone number. Since you asked so nicely ;) was written on the paper beneath the dollars. You rolled your eyes, but couldn’t help feeling like a giddy little kid, quickly grabbing your phone and entering the number.
Thanks for cash, but I only requested $20…
You clicked send and anxiously watched for his reply.
I guess that means we’ll have to see each other again so you can return one
That can be arranged

i'll be your dream
written for @sterekfests week one prompt: school is out for summer, @sterekweekly word prompt: explore, and @sterekbingo square: wolves are known
Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski Characters: Stiles Stilinski, Derek Hale Additional Tags: POV Stiles Stilinski, Alternate Universe - Different First Meeting, Alternate Universe - Werewolves Are Known, Pining Stiles Stilinski, Alpha Derek Hale, Summer Vacation, First Kiss, Getting Together Summary:
After years of pining, Stiles was surprised to find out that his crush on Derek wasn't so unrequited.
The party in the preserve was in full effect by the time Stiles got there. Drinks were flowing, the fire was blazing, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Of course, they were. School was over and they were all back home in Beacon Hills, celebrating summer break.
Stiles plopped onto a log that had been rolled over for seating. A surprisingly chilly gust of wind rolled through the clearing, causing Stiles to wrap his arms around himself for warmth. No one else seemed affected, but they were closer to the fire. He supposed that some of them were also supernatural, and they tended to run warm for the most part.
As he watched everyone laughing and talking over each other, a familiar voice called out from behind him, "Cold?"
Stiles froze for a second before glancing over his shoulder, eyes widening at the lone walker making his way over.
Derek Hale.
Also known as Stiles's crush of epic proportions. Not that Derek had any idea. Hell, Derek probably didn't even know who Stiles was. He was a few years older, already a junior, when Stiles first saw him at Beacon Hills High School. Derek had been an upperclassman assigned to show the freshman around during orientation. That had been four years ago. Derek hadn't noticed him at all that day or year. Or the one that followed. And then Derek graduated.
Stiles went the next two years without seeing Derek more than a handful of times and eventually got over his crush. Or so he thought. But then Stiles graduated and was surprised to see Derek across the quad when he started at university that fall.
Derek had been tossing a frisbee around with some friends. He'd leapt in the air to catch it, and Stiles damn near choked on his tongue when his shirt rode up, revealing all that smooth skin and heavy muscle. Derek had been a little leaner in high school but had apparently bulked up quite a bit. Not a surprise since he was athletic. As soon as Stiles found out Derek was on the baseball team, he always went to every game just for that extra glimpse of Derek and his dimpled smile.
Which naturally meant that as soon as spring hit, Stiles looked up the schedule for the university’s baseball team and, yes, attended every home game he could.
Needless to say, his crush came roaring back.
Derek's chuckle jarred Stiles from his memories, and he was encased in warmth as Derek placed a leather jacket around his shoulders. It was the one Stiles had seen him wear often. Stiles couldn't help but inhale deeply. It smelled like grease, motor oil, and gasoline, which made sense since Stiles knew Derek worked at the local garage during the past few summers.
"You looked like you could use this," Derek said, sitting beside him. "You're Stiles, right? I'm Derek."
Stiles had to bite back a gasp as Derek's arm casually brushed against his.
"Y-yes," Stiles stammered as warmth crept up his cheeks. He always blushed so easily, but thankfully he could blame it on the cold. Probably. He couldn't really think right now because Derek knew his name! "I'm Stiles."
Derek smiled, those damn dimples popping through the dark scruff on his cheeks, and Stiles's heart tripped over itself. He could only hope that Derek wasn't able to hear it over the noise of everyone around them. Damn werewolves with their enhanced hearing. Especially since Derek was an alpha.
"I saw you around campus this year," Derek said, and then someone called his name and he nodded to them before returning his attention to Stiles. "So, what are you doing over here all by yourself?"
"Just taking in the scenery, I guess." Stiles was glad his voice didn't betray his nerves. It was as if a kaleidoscope of butterflies had been released and were fluttering around his stomach.
Derek had seen him around school? That was strange since they weren't in any of the same classes. Hell, Stiles didn't think they even shared any buildings since Derek's studies were focused on architecture for his major while Stiles was taking classes geared more toward criminal justice.
"What about you?" he asked, surprised he was still able to speak. Seriously, Stiles's mind had shorted out the moment he recognized Derek's voice.
What were words? Stiles wasn't sure he'd be able to recite the alphabet at this point.
"I just came to hang out with some friends." Derek smiled again, and it was the most amazing thing to witness. He smiled with his whole face. His eyes got a bit squinty, crinkling in the corners, lips parting to reveal his bunny teeth, and his nose scrunched up in a way that could only be described as adorable.
Captivating.
Beautiful.
God, Derek was so fucking unrealistically gorgeous. In every way. And Stiles couldn't help trailing his eyes over Derek's face and down his body. He was chiseled, sculpted, carved, hewn…pick one. Derek was all the adjectives there were for hard, masculine beauty.
And for some reason, his attention was on Stiles right now.
"Actually, that's a lie," Derek said. His smile turned shy as he ducked his head. "Um…Erica actually told me you'd be here."
"Erica…Reyes?" That was the only Erica that Stiles knew. She was in a few of his classes since they were both freshmen. They were friendly—study buddies who, on occasion, would send each other TikToks when they were bored.
Stiles would ask how Derek knew her, but she'd started dating Boyd, Derek's best friend, a few months ago.
"Yeah. I hope that's alright. She mentioned that you lived here too, so I asked around about you." Derek shrugged as if it were no big deal, but holy shit. Derek had noticed him at school. Had asked about him.
Shit. Was Derek interested in him?
Stiles didn't want to assume, but their arms still brushed with how close Derek was sitting. And then there was his smile and the way he kept his attention on Stiles despite all the people around. Some of whom had been trying to get Derek to notice them.
He didn't.
Stiles imagined that he was doing a damn good impersonation of the mind-blown emoji right now. Hope bloomed in his chest at the thought, making his words come out faster than he'd intended. "I…wow. That's…very flattering. What did you want to know?"
Derek grinned. "Everything."
It was said with such sincerity that Stiles had no choice but to believe him. And then Derek reached out and brushed his knuckles against Stiles's hand, and it was like an electric jolt shot straight through him. It was impossible to hold back the gasp that escaped Stiles's lips.
Derek chuckled, and the sound was like a melody of sweet bells.
"Everything, huh?" Stiles licked and pulled his bottom lip between his teeth, watching the way Derek tracked the movement. The way his pupils dilated and his breath caught in his throat. "Well, that's an awfully big request. Where do you want me to start?"
Derek’s eyes sparkled in the light of the fire as he smiled. "From the beginning."
"That might take a while," Stiles said with a laugh, feeling as though they were suddenly cocooned in their own little world at the party. Everyone else faded away until it was just them. "Do you have time?"
"For you?" Derek asked, eyebrows raised in anticipation as he leaned closer. "Absolutely."
"Alright. From the beginning then." Stiles turned toward the fire as it crackled, giving him an excuse to avert his eyes as Derek's gaze seemed to bore into him. God, Derek was almost too gorgeous. It was unnerving.
But also, he was so captivated by Derek's presence that he barely realized time passing as he spoke. First, an hour and then two. People trickled away as the party died down, but still, they didn't move. Derek sat there, patiently listening, and Stiles felt like the luckiest person alive.
Making conversation was easier than usual; the words and stories flowed without effort. It was as if they were childhood friends, reconnecting after being apart. And Derek wasn't just listening to respond. He seemed to genuinely want to get to know Stiles more. He commented and asked questions, especially when Stiles talked about his mom. Something he usually avoided since most people got weird and awkward, not knowing what to say when he brought up her death. But Derek made Stiles feel seen.
He felt utterly content and alive for the first time in a long time.
It was the best feeling in the world, and Stiles hated when the fire eventually died, and it was time to go. He eased himself up from the log, blushing when Derek rose with him and placed a hand on the small of his back. Derek didn't move it as they headed to their cars, as if he couldn't bear to break that bit of contact.
Unfortunately, it was a short walk.
"Here," Stiles said, shrugging Derek's leather jacket off, but Derek shook his head.
"Keep it."
So Stiles put it on properly, chuckling at the way it enveloped him.
"Looks good on you," Derek said, his voice low and rough, almost coming out as a growl. Then he looked deep into Stiles's eyes, and when he spoke, his words were laced with hope. "Can we do this again? Soon?"
"Yeah, I—" Stiles swallowed hard, his mouth suddenly dry. "I'd really like that."
Like, really like that.
Derek nodded and smiled, his gaze not once leaving Stiles's face as he stepped closer.
Stiles could read the intent in his eyes, in the way Derek licked his lips. So he wasn't surprised when Derek reached out and hauled him close, kissing him.
It was like fire and electricity. Sparks and pleasure. Every single molecule in Stiles's body lit up and he shivered in delight. It was as if Stiles had never been kissed before, and Derek had just gone and shown him what it was all about.
When they parted, air rushed into Stiles's lungs. He was lightheaded in the best way. Menacingly happy, and it took everything not to giggle like a fool.
Stiles wet his lips, chasing the taste of him. Wanting more.
Derek brushed his thumbs against Stiles's cheeks as he cradled Stiles's face, leaving a searing path of heat and electricity in its wake. He pressed their foreheads together, and his breath fanned over Stiles's face as he whispered, "Tell me you felt that too."
Stiles could only nod. His heart beat so fast he was sure it was about to burst out of his chest. This moment was surreal. Life changing.
"Good." Derek smiled as he stepped back, and Stiles immediately missed the press of his body against him. The way he held Stiles's face as if he were precious. His hands left a tingling sensation behind, and Derek flashed Stiles a final grin before opening the Jeep door for him. "How about I give you a call tomorrow."
"Don't you need my number?" Stiles asked as he climbed in, even though he was still in a bit of a daze. Derek had kissed him. He'd kissed Derek Hale. It was something he'd never even dared to dream about.
But now, as he touched his fingertips to his lips, he knew something special was beginning.
"I, uh, I already got it from Erica." Derek ducked his head again, but Stiles could see the way his lips quirked up.
Such a smug asshole and Stiles couldn't help but swoon at the confident display. Especially when Derek winked at him before closing the driver's door and jogging over to his Camaro.
As Stiles started the engine, his phone pinged with a notification.
Unknown: Hey. It's Derek. Now you have my number too.
Stiles quickly saved Derek's contact, sending back a heart-eyes emoji. A silly smile tilted up at the corners of his mouth as he thought about what might lay ahead, exploring this new relationship, and he absolutely could not wait.

fall in love - jake kiszka
a/n: just something small :) i had this idea for a second part to a past fic, but i'm not getting around to that anytime soon, so i just made it its own fic. i also finished this at like 2 in the morning so excuse any bad writing or mistakes
another a/n: i have a new taglist form so please be sure to fill it out if you'd like to be tagged in my works! i’m starting fresh so if you haven’t submitted a form, i have not tagged you :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“can i ask you something, jake?” you speak up, turning your head over to look at your boyfriend. he turns his head to look at you as well, raising his eyebrows in question.
the two of you were laying on the trampoline in the back of his family’s house in frankenmuth, visiting his parents for a couple weeks while the band has a break from touring. since it was a warm summer night, you two decided to have a little sleepover on the trampoline, underneath the stars.
“you can always ask me anything, you know that,” he replies, his right hand coming up to stroke your cheek softly.
“when did you fall in love with me?” jake grins a little and keeps his hand on your face. but seconds later, he moves to sit up, the comforter falling off his chest and onto his legs. you follow suit, desperately wanting to know.
you two haven’t been together for long, just under a year, but you and jake have known each other since forever, since you were freshman in high school. but with the band taking off and them getting signed a few years later, neither of you were able to admit your feelings.
but with you getting to see them in michigan when they were just on tour, you and jake met up after the show and admitted everything to one another, leading to a relationship blossoming.
that night, jake had told you that he’s loved you since you were young, but he never said anything further about it. but now, you wanted to know just how long it has been.
“remember when the band was first starting out? how we’d play in our garage and that was what we were used to? no audience, just us?”
“yeah. and i’d come and sit and watch you guys because you wanted me to hear.” jake smiles and nods, reaching for your hand.
“and do you remember the first gig we had? at jan’s bar?” nodding along, you wait for him to continue, not having any idea where this was going. “i had trouble facing the audience. i was so used to it just being us four, and occasionally our parents or a couple friends.”
“your mom even had to tell you that they want to see you,” you step in quickly. jake laughs and looks down at your entwined hands.
“she did. but you…you were the one to help me the most.”
“what?” you gasp softly, your free hand falling on his bicep.
“after our second song that night, you ran over to my side of the stage and waved me off as josh talked to the crowd. you gave me this little pep talk to get me to look to the crowd instead of with my back to them. you told me that you’d be standing in the back, on my side, waiting to see my face. to imagine that it was just you in the room, no one else, like we were back in our garage. to just focus on you, not the crowd.”
flashbacks of that night come to your mind as he recalls the moment. it is vivid in your mind, the way jake was so nervous he was shaking, you taking his hands to attempt to calm him down, his pick still between his fingers.
“and as soon as you went back to the crowd, i walked back on stage, turned around, and saw you. in the back of the bar, smiling widely upon seeing me, clapping along with everyone else, bobbing your head along to the beat. i…i felt all my anxiety wash away as soon as our eyes met. i had so much confidence all of a sudden, and it was all thanks to you.”
“oh jakey…”
“and that’s when i realized i had fallen in love with you. if it wasn’t for you, i don’t think i would have made it as a guitarist. because of you, i found my confidence to face the crowd, and everything i have today, i own it to you, my love.”
your heart bursts in your chest at his confession, tears springing to your eyes. you fall into his arms and shove your face in his neck.
“jake, i-i wasn’t expecting that,” you sob out, not at all thinking he would say that last thing.
“you are the reason i am where i’m at. with a couple guitarist of the year awards, the ability to go out on stage every night and feel so confident and safe because i imagine you, somewhere in the room, waiting to make eye contact with me.” with each word he says, more tears stream down your face. “thinking back to that night even helps me get on stage some nights. when i’m feeling so lost or anxious, i think of you and what you told me all those years ago.”
“i love you,” you whisper, pulling back to cup his cheeks. you crash your lips onto his, the force of your body making jake fall on his back, with you pressed to his chest. his giggle breaks the kiss for a moment, but he soon collects his laughter and goes back to moving his lips against yours.
“i love you too, my darling,” he mumbles against your lips, his hand trailing to the back of your head to keep you pressed to him.
you continue kissing for a little while longer, just because you missed him so much, and could never get enough of the way he tastes and the way his lips feel. you finally pull away to catch your breath and fall back beside him, though still keeping close to his body, curling into his side.
“come on tour with me,” he asks, or really demands, after a few minutes of laying in silence. gazing up at him, a smile begins to tug at the corners of your mouth.
“really?” you confirm.
“yeah. i need my lover, and my good luck charm, with me. i hate being away from you for so long. just come on the rest of the tour with us, please?” his voice holds so much pain, making you wonder what he went through alone when you were apart. he was always open with you, but there were still some things he was scared about telling you, and you respected that.
“i’ll have to move some things around, but i’ll see if i can make it work,” you tell him.
“i can’t be away from you anymore. i thought i could do it, but i can’t. i miss you so much, it’s hard to sleep at night, all i can think about is when i’m going to have time and call you, i need you with me.”
“why didn’t you let me know you were struggling with that?” you ask softly, stroking his cheek. he sighs and his eyes flutter closed, a shiver running through his body as a sudden gust of wind blows over the both of you.
“i was scared. i wasn’t even sure what was happening to begin with, so i thought it would go away. but after sleeping next to you every night for the past five months, then nothing for the next two, i guess i got used to it, and you comforted me, so because i didn’t have that, it was hard.”
“I’ll come with you,” you finally state. “i hate knowing that you’re in pain and struggling alone, so don’t worry. i’ll come with you. i mean, i really do want to, but knowing how hard it’s been for you, i don’t want you to go through it anymore.”
“I love you,” he repeats, kissing you once more. you snuggle closer to him, nuzzling your face in his neck.
“you’re my world, jake. no more being away from each other, okay?”
“so does that mean you’ll move in with me?” he wonders with a smirk.
“i thought you’d never ask.”

If you were given the chance
ScaramoucexReader (no pronouns used)
Warnings: Angst with no comfort ( don’t we just love that), kind of bad, kind of rusty writting and emo.
To others, Scaramouche seemed like a hard person to talk to. In the halls he wore an unreadable expression so it was kind of impossible to really know what he was thinking about. But if you were able to push past that cold extroxier, you'd be able to experience his fun, talkative but also teasing side of him. If you were lucky enough he might’ve gone up to you a few things during school, just to tease you for something of course. If you were able to breach all these stages, it wouldn’t be a surprise if you had grown to like his friendly side and gain a little crush on him.
A little crush was an understatement to say the least, you were one of the “lucky” people to have overcome the semi-awkward convos and move over to hearing each other's voices rather than texting and the more you talk to him, the more you’re falling into a deep hole called love.
The way he carried himself over text was something but let's forget about his way of words, you were ashamed to admit but it did something to you. But you know you shouldn't, the things you’ve heard from people were, let's say, not the brightest flags a man could have. The fact you’ve gushed over him so much to your friends but they’ve told you he wasn’t a good guy and you should stop talking to him over and over but everytime, you never listened.
Maybe this is the reason that this happened to you, you’re sitting in your room balling your eyes out. Maybe if you had listened to all the warnings from your friends, maybe if you had never replied to his story of him falsely saying he was moving and never coming back to your home city, probably just wanting people to ask him if he was serious or not, this wouldn’t have happened. Just maybe you wouldn't be here but what's done is done.
You remember that day like it was just a few hours ago, you two had been following each other on instagram for quite awhile, since december and it was now end of march, just in time for spring break. You two had talked before that, just short and random conversations about a story he had replied to or it was you who started the conversation, doesn't matter.
You were randomly scrolling on instagram stories like you usually do and you had come across his, it said something like “finally leaving this stupid city” I mean it wasn't wrong but it was surprising so you thought, you haven't talked in awhile so what's the harm in talking to him again you know? so you did. The conversation went a lot like back and forth of him saying he is but truthly he was lying.
But that was the conversation that started everything.
All those late night calls, even listening to his whole 5 hour playlist he had made because you asked him about his music taste, it had played in the background while you studied for at least three days.. Every Time you had gotten a text from him your heart started to race as if it was about to sink down into your stomach from nervousness and excitement.
You enjoyed every single call you had with him even though your first time ever calling with him you said some pretty questionable things,
“Bro I’m actually so cold right now” “You’re what?” he asked “ I'm shivering right now for some reason” “bro what??” followed with a laugh.
his laugh.
He had this unique laugh that if you heard it in the background of a noisily video, you would be able to point it out. Everything about him was so different from others,
it ranged from his jellyfish-like hair style or even his hair colour or maybe it was the raspiness of his voice when he talked or how it changed the more he talked turning into something very soft and comforting, maybe that was another big reason you could not stop liking him. He was so different from the rest and that made him so attractive and so interesting at the same time.
You even stayed up late at night just for him to fall asleep over call then you would leave because you were afraid that you were going to say something weird in your sleep if you ever stayed on call.
You had spent nearly every day of your spring break and nearly a full month talking to him just to find out,
you weren’t special.
You had found out from him that he actually had a crush already. In that moment your heart dropped so far into your stomach , you weren’t at all aware of this. You were rethinking all those times you were calling with him and he would say these flirty things towards you or put his arm around your shoulder at random times in the hallways, as if he liked you or something. Apparently he didn’t.
At that moment it turned sour. You tried acting as if it didn’t bother you, why would it? It wasn't like you two were dating or anything. You had no right to feel upset about this. Even so, you felt regret and sadness overcome you. You felt like you were strung along just for his amusement.
After that night you had a lot to think about, how it even went wrong with him and how he didn’t even feel anything towards you. You went through a cycle of emotions and even went through some tears. But even so, even after feeling used for entertainment when his crush couldn’t talk at that moment or when she was busy or even after being used as a puppet he would just string along him, even after all these emotions he put you through, you think to yourself;
You don’t regret it.
If you had a chance to turn back in the past and change anything, you wouldn’t, truthfully you wouldn’t have it any other way, as bad as it sounds its the truth. You would even go as far as saying, if you could, you would relive it all over again.
These were times which really made you happy , maybe it wasn’t good for your sake and wellbeing but how were you supposed to know? Maybe you were just too delusional to even recognize the big bright red flag, maybe even too delusional to see the problem.
After you had woken up and realised he wasn’t worth your time anymore, you started slowly but surely gave him less attention then before, as if he even noticed it, but you still did it. But the moment you stopped reaching out and started the conversations, you notice you never got any back.
You stopped trying to look for him in the hallways, searching for that figure you knew too well. But it was so hard, when everytime you would give him one small glance he would show up in such an attractive outfit suiting him so well or hearing him laugh about something, which made it even harder then it was before to move on.
The more you stare and notice him you are reminded of all those times you two spent late at night talking to each other giggling to one another, sharing things about each other that the other party might have not known of, as if you weren’t the only person he did these things with. All you could see in him was those memories that were once real and were real happening in real time, but now,
it was as if there wasn’t anything between you two before, like you never existed and were never part of his life in the first place.
Even putting into account all the circumstances if there was ever a chance, if he ever gave you the chance; to go back and relive all these feelings and moments even if it ended the same, you would take it.
A/N: Hello everyone! HII omg i haven’t written/published anything in a hot minute (two years HELPEEL) anyways um i think this kind of turned out cring but also not yk? Like a Rainbow in the Dark - Chapter 1 Leaving the life you led before we met
Tumblr media
Summary:
You are a new student at Hawkins High, trying to run from your past. You thought you wouldn't find people who would truly get you in this small town, but maybe you were wrong ...
TW// 18+, none for chapter 1, smut in future chapters.
Author's notes :
This is my first fic that isn't a one-shot. I hope you'll like it. I'm very nervous about it. English is NOT my first language so I apologize for any mistakes.
You quickly got out of the car, ignoring the cheerful encouragements of your grandmother. You walked fast toward the front door, making your way through the other students who were pressed together in the hallway. It was your first day in this school that would only be another prison until freedom in two years. If you were able to convince your grandmother to be homeschooled you would have been free for a while already and you’d be far away, in California. But according to her, you needed more routine and discipline. You were living with your grandparents for less than a week now, and they tried to give you some time to adapt to your new life. It was the week before spring break, you tried to convince them to let you start after the break but they were afraid you’d fall behind. You were only in need of a few classes to graduate, but because of the school system, you couldn’t do all of them in a year. You did fall behind during the previous year, otherwise, you would have gotten your diploma in time this Spring. All that situation with your mother took a turn for the worst putting your school almost last on your list of priorities. You didn’t set foot in a school in months. You were surprised somewhere even wanted you, but in a small town like Hawkins Indiana it wasn’t impossible apparently. You got to your locker and looked at your schedule one last time before you had to get to the classroom.
The students looked at you with a surprised look when you got into the class but you ignored them. You weren’t dressed like the other girls in your class, they were wearing beige dresses and white skirts, floral prints, and turtlenecks. You were wearing a Megadeath t-shirt and a black mini skirt with your doc martens. Your makeup wasn’t fitting in with the crowd either, while you were wearing dark eyeshadow and lipstick they wore blush. You were also fat and they were thin. You weren’t fitting in. The teacher introduced you quickly to the class and you tried to follow as much as you could. At the end of the class, he had a list for you of readings and homework you would need to do to be up to date with the class plan. You’d need to work on it during Spring break. Your next class was only in two hours but you didn’t know the town enough to trust yourself to explore it. You went to the cafeteria to get some time to yourself. You got to an empty table and got your big notebook out of your bag. You started writing while listening to your favorite Iron Maiden record with your headphones. A bunch of dudes, basketball players if you could judge by their uniforms, walked in front of you and laughed while looking at you. You didn’t hear what they said thanks to your headphones. You lifted your head and saw someone walking towards them looking angry. You took off your headphones to hear their conversation.
‘’ What did you just call her ?’’ The newcomer asked the basketball players.
‘’ Don’t get involved, Freak !’’
They all laughed at that.
‘’ Don’t ever say a thing about her again Carver! You can insult me all you want, but leave her alone.’’
The young blonde man who was apparently named Carver took one step closer to the tall man.
‘’ Or what ?’’
The man smiled deviously before leaning towards Carver and whispered something in his ear. Carver froze for a moment and made a motion for his friends to leave, they went to a table on the opposite side of the cafeteria. My knight in shining armor walked towards me smiling. He had long curly brown hair that brushed his shoulders. He was wearing a baseball tee black and white with Hellfire Club written on it, it had swords and a devil face on it as well, a sleeveless jean jacket was over his black leather jacket, and his black pair of jeans was ripped at his knees. Maybe I am at my place here, you said to yourself as you took a better look at the patches and pins on his jacket. All bands you loved. He sat next to you, his legs spreading wide.
‘’Are you alright ?’’ His chocolate-brown eyes were full of worry.
‘’Oh, yeah. I’m used to it.’’ You tried to laugh it out.
‘’You shouldn't.’’
You lifted your palms meaning to say it is what it is.
‘’I never saw you before, are you new? I feel like I’d notice you before today.’’ He was playing with one of his rings.
‘’First day’’
He basically jumped to his feet and screamed.
‘’Welcome to Hell !’’ While doing a curtsey
You burst into laughing while he got back to his seat, ignoring all the stares the other student were giving him. He smiled and got closer to you almost whispering in your ear.
‘’ I shouldn’t stay with you too long, it will destroy your reputation and you won’t be able to make any friends.’’
You snorted.
‘’ I don’t think I’m the perfect friend for most of these people. Anyway, I’m not here to make friends, I want my diploma and run like hell out of here.’’
His smile got bigger as you were talking.
‘’ Well, in that case, would you like to come sit with my friends and me? If you aren’t afraid of getting unsolicited insults and various names thrown at you. We are very inclusive. I’m also here to get my diploma, I was supposed to graduate last year.’’
You explained quickly your situation. He got up with a huge smile and he reached his hand towards yours.
‘’ I think we will get along. I’m Eddie.’’
You took his hand and introduced yourself. He guided you to a table with five other young men. He made a gesture to one of them so he could move to another seat, leaving you the seat next to Eddie. He introduced everyone as part of his D&D Club, Hellfire Club which explained the shirt and part of them were in his band. Of course, he was in a band. They were talking all at the same time about their current campaign that would conclude the following week. They tried to include you in their conversations but you didn’t know much about D&D. The bell rang and everyone went their way, except your knight.
‘’ You’re not going to class ?’’
‘’No, I’m done for the day.’’
‘’And you are staying here ?’’
‘’I didn’t want to leave you all alone on your first day. You have another class in an hour ?’’
You nodded. You were happy that he chose to stay with you.
‘’You’re not into D&D ?’’
You told him that you never played and didn’t know much about it. He got very passionate about it and started to talk about the game and why it was amazing. You loved to learn about people’s passions.
‘’Maybe you could come to see us play one night.’’
‘’Yeah, maybe !’’ He smiled at your answer.
The next hour was spent talking about your classes and teachers, you learned that you were in the same science class that you just got out of, you didn’t notice him since he was sitting in the back of the class. He walked you to your next class and waved at you to say goodbye. Once in the classroom, a girl took you to the side.
‘’You shouldn’t associate yourself with him, he’s not someone … good.’’
You snorted at her.
‘’You don’t know me.’’
‘’Exactly. You don’t want a bad reputation on your first day, everything is known in a small town like Hawkins.’’ You couldn’t believe the nerve of this girl.
‘’So everyone knows you are a bitch ?’’
She looked at you, mouth opened wide and she turned around quickly. You don’t think she will want to be your friend anymore. After the class, your grandmother came to pick you up and she inquired about your day. You told her you didn’t really make any friends and that your list of homework for the break was already very long. She seemed happy to notice that you were taking your schoolwork seriously. Once at their house, your house actually, you went directly into your new room and you put your headphones on to listen to your music as loud as you could. You didn’t work on schoolwork that night. You did write a lot. Writing was the only thing that was working to get your feelings out of your head. You fell asleep before dinner.

Acotar characters as their Taylor Swift Albums
Debut - Tamlin
The violin
Also Tamlin just can’t let go of the past and his childhood trauma
He is a baby and selfish as such
But underneath it all, he does have a heart yearning for love and acceptance
Fearless - Feyre
Come on, she went into those woods knowing she could never come out, she taught herself to hunt and kill, she willing left her family behind to save them
It’s hard to win her over, to make her fall in love, but even though the process is long and hard it’s worth it
She has a love for life and art and people that can’t be matched
She is never afraid to dance in the rain in her best dress as long as it’s with her Romeo, Rhysand
Speak Now - Azriel
For the spymaster, he is meant to be quiet and hiding in the shadows, so when he speaks it means something
He is no stranger to pain and fear, but with that he has grown and matured and made a life for himself in friendship and his found family
He is not afraid to take the big risks! And a lot of times they pay off and he can soar from there
Red - Cassian & Eris
Cassian
Red is passion, it’s heat, it’s love
He’s protective to his very core and with that comes so much love and loyalty and respect
He fights for what he believes in and no is not an answer he ever cares to hear, but with this strength comes also his greatest weakness
Finally, he is just an autumn album, his allergies keep him away from spring anything
Eris
Red is fire, heat, hatred
He burns with jealousy and want and desire for things he knows he can’t have and it continues to eat at him
His anger is a mask of various degrees and he uses it to his advantage, he makes those under his command listen through fear more than loyalty
He’s also an autumn court baby! Red is all about that time of year
1989 - Gwyn
She defies her role and changes everything for the love of friendship and change
She knows what she’s doing could either make or break her, and she decides to go forward with it anyways, deciding that this is her life and what she wants
Her fears are her power, and with her power comes control and resilience
She doesn’t let her pain define her life, instead she lets her love define who she is
She is fluid and graceful, her voice high and clear, and she’s also just a little silly and well meaning, water is her friend and so is 1989
Reputation - Nesta
To be in your Nesta era is to be in your Reputation era
A love album masquerading as a break up album?? That is all Nesta
It’s sexy and flirty and fun, it’s cagey and edgy, it’s Nesta and the passion she embodies and loves
She is every bit as passionate as Cassian, but she holds it in until it’s just them, needing the intimacy that they create together
(I swear Dress is Nesta around Cassian)
Lover - Amren & Rhysand
Amren
Don’t tell Amren that she’s Lover, she’ll deny it and claim to be Reputation
She gave up everything for those she loves and that is Lover
She wears her heart on her sleeve and she loves so openly and deeply
She does have a temper and carry’s a deep sadness in her, but she moves through the world with love and kindness in her heart
Rhysand
Love is his world, it’s Feyre and Nyx, it’s Cassian and Azriel, it’s Mor and Amren and even Elain and Nesta
He fights for those he loves and he loves and cares for everyone he meets
He helps those he hates, Tamlin, Lucien, Nesta
He lets his family and friendship become his world, and he holds on so tightly to them that the fear of breaking is his greatest fear
Folklore - Elain & Lucien
Elain
An endless garden of beautiful flowers and memories of happier times haunt her in her worst times
A torrid affair with a love that betrayed her over and over again
A love triangle she doesn’t know how to choose between and yet her choice is so clear and obvious at the same time
Summer, glorious and beautiful summer which turns its back on its lovers
Lucien
He knows where he doesn’t belong and that is Autumn
He longs for long nights and warmth and love stories that work and come out on top
He is a wandering soul searching for a home in the memories of a haunted life
He yearns for Elain, and warmth and peace and the gardens
Evermore - Emerie
All of her homes have burned down around her and yet she still survives
Her strength is both her greatest weakness and her best attribute
Her friendship is hard won, but it’s true and beautiful and she will kill for her friends
Her kindness is hidden behind walls of pain and sadness, but she shine through it all anyways
Midnights - Mor
Her trauma is hidden behind the glimmer and glam she lets herself be seen in, no one can see her cry if her face is already glittering
For every good moment, she has an endless amount of fear and vengeance ready to roar behind it
Her friends are her family and she sees no in between, love is love is love
While she hides part of herself away, she also gives more and more to the world than they ever know

My Favourite “Break Your Heart” Songs
I replied to a post of @jerzwriter ‘s about love songs and admitted that while I know a few, my writing taste leans towards songs about bittersweet or lost love. So I decided to make a list of my favorites. I’m sorry in advance.
1. I Would Have Loved You Anyway by Trisha Yearwood. This has been number one in my writing playlist for almost two decades now much to my husband’s chagrin. I think he could happily never heart it again 😂 but to me there is no better bittersweet song about love gone wrong. “… If I'da known the way that this would end/ If I'da read the last page first/ If I'da had the strength to walk away/ If I'da known how this would hurt/ … I would've loved you anyway”. There is just something so powerful about that. Not every love story lasts forever, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth it.
2. Dynasty by Miia. This song is my unofficial theme song for “Portia: A Roman Tragedy”. The idea of we could have had it all but then we didn’t. “Thought we built a dynasty that heaven couldn't shake/ Thought we built a dynasty like nothing ever made/ Thought we built a dynasty forever couldn't break up”. The first time I heard the song (in a fan video), I went “ohh, that’s the tragedyverse”, it just sums it all up for me.
3. What Might Have Been by Little Texas. I have always been haunted by the possibilities of “what might have been” and this song just sums it up in such a beautiful way. “We could sit and talk about this all night long/ And wonder why we didn't last/ Yes, they might be the best days we will ever know/ But we'll have to leave them in the past./ I try not to think about what might have been/ Cause that was then and we have taken diff'rent roads/ we can't go back again there's no use giving in/ And there's no way to know/ What might have been”. You can’t go back, you can’t ever know what could have been.
4. Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac. Of course this song is on the list. The lyrics, the haunted way she sings, the video of her signing it in 1997. This song is heartbreak perfection. “Time cast a spell on you, but you won't forget me/ I know I could have loved you/ But you would not let me”.
5. Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift. This is just a beautiful song (and a great video). “Nothing lasts forever/ But this is getting good now/ He's so tall and handsome as hell/ He's so bad, but he does it so well/ And when we've had our very last kiss/ My last request is/ Say you'll remember me/ Standing in a nice dress/ Staring at the sunset, babe/ Red lips and rosy cheeks”.
6. Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter. I have loved this song since I was a teenager (and the “when 30 was old” line hits particularly hard at 40) and as I have grown the song’s impact on me has changed and now I really appreciate the bittersweet look back on first love and how that kind of love only comes along once. “There's nothing time hasn't touched/ Is it really him or the loss of my innocence?/ I've been missing so much”
7. Already Gone by Sleeping At Last (it is a Kelly Clarkson song, but the version I love is a cover). “Started with a perfect kiss/ Then we could feel the poison set in/ Perfect couldn't keep this love alive/ You know that I love you so/ Ilove you enough to let you go” but also “Remember all the things we wanted/ Now all our memories, they're haunted/ We were always meant to say goodbye”. This song just hits so hard and sums up the idea that some things are always meant to end (are you sensing a theme 😂?)
8. Didn’t We Almost Have It All by Whitney Houston. Another one that I have played over and over until my husband never wants to hear it again. “Didn't we almost have it all/ When love was all we had worth giving?/ The ride with you was worth the fall my friend/ Loving you makes life worth living”.
9. Don’t Speak by No Doubt. Another one that goes back to teenage Misha. I think this one got me a few break-ups once upon a time. “Don't speak/ I know what you're thinkin'/ I don't need your reasons/ Don't tell me 'cause it hurts”.
10. Beautifully Unfiniished by Ella Henderson. “But maybe all that we are meant to be/ Is beautifully unfinished/ And I hate you, and I love you/ And I wish you'd go away/ And I hate you, and I love you/ And I wish that you would stay”. I love the pain of this song, the love and the hate, the idea that something is ending when you don’t want it to but you know it has too.
Narrowing it down to 10 was hard and there are lots of other regular songs on my writing playlist, but these are my favorites (although honourable mention to “Last Kiss” by Pearl Jam). If you feel like writing some angst, I highly recommend putting on some of these songs. I definitely have a “type” when it comes to my favorite music, there is something about the end of a love story and looking back that really hits hard for me.

For better days
Javy Coyote Machado x gn!reader
It had been the phone call you had been dreading. Sure, it was just training, it was just a bird strike, it was a bumpy ejection but Javy was still in the medical wing. The only thing you were truly grateful for, was the fact you were only an hour and change away from North Island. That this didn’t happen while he was on a mission, out at sea, somewhere you couldn’t get close to him and see for yourself that he was fine.
Tumblr media
This came about all thanks to @hell0darliing. We had a bit of a chat about how Jake felt when Javy went into G Loc, and what happened afterward. After a brief google, I saw he would have been fine, but I still had the feels so this happened. I'm sorry Phoenix wasn't in this like we discussed.
WC: 760
Warnings: Javy birdstrike. Hospitals. A comforting Jake. Not edited, any and all mistakes are my own. Reader is a bit of a crier. Oh, italics.
The tears on your cheeks have dried by the time you arrive at the Naval Base. You’re thankful that Jake called ahead to security, getting you clearance to go straight through. They direct you to medical and where to park, and you nod, unsure that the tears won’t start again the minute you open your mouth to speak.
You’d left work the minute you had hung up the phone with Jake, the other man’s voice near breaking you in two.
“There’s been an accident, he had to eject.”
“Is he okay?”
“Yes and no, he’s alive, but he’s not awake yet.”
You let out a choked off sob at the words he’s alive. It’s bad enough that Jake has to call you, even worse that it warrants telling you that he’s alive.
“I’m coming down.”
“Should you be driving right now?”
“I don’t give a shit about that, Jake, I’m leaving now.”
“Okay, I'll get it squared away.”
You could tell he wasn’t impressed with you driving down right now, but you were past the point of caring. You told your boss that there had been an incident and you needed to leave. They didn’t question your tear-stained face, and let you leave early.
You walk into the building that security explained to you and straight up to the nurse's station. After explaining who you were and why you were there, you follow their directions down the hall. Your eyes search frantically for the familiar blonde head of Jake, trying to find the one person you know in this maze of hallways. You feel the tears well again, this time in frustration that you can’t find him. You walk past a hallway, glancing down for a moment, before moving on. But the name Hangman reaches your ears and you turn back around.
“Jake?” you call out, the tears in the corner of your eyes blurring your vision. The pilots around him part and he comes into view. You take a few short steps towards him, but he’s the one who take the long strides to catch you as you fall into him.
You feel the eyes of the other pilots on the two of you, but you really don’t care.
“He’s okay, he’s awake. I’ve already chewed him out for making me make that phone call. He scared me too.”
And in your haste to get here, desire to ensure he was healthy and fine, you’d forgotten that Jake was his best friend, had known him longer than you had. They were basically brothers in everything but blood, and you couldn’t begin to imagine what had been going through his brain in the last few hours.
“I’m sorry Jake, I’ve made this about me. How are you?”
“I’m better now that he’s awake...”
“He’s awake? Why didn’t you...”
“I just said that, do you not listen?”
You apologise, a sheepish laugh springing from your lips.
“Can I see him?”
“Uh, Mav’s in there with him now, but sure.”
You nod, and allow Jake to lead you back towards the group hanging out in the hall. He introduces you quickly to everyone, an expression of understanding seems to fall across all of their faces, and if you weren’t so worried, you’d find it amusing.
He keeps his arm around you to hold you steady as he knock gently on the door and walks you in.
“Mav, can this wait?” he asks the older man standing by Javy’s bed, but it barely registers with you as you pull yourself from him and walk directly to Javy. You take a hand and press a kiss to his forehead, a watery smile on your face. You don’t even notice that Jake and Mav have left as you sit down next to the bed.
“What’re you doin’ here baby?” he asks, confused by your presence, “you’re supposed to be at work.”
“You nearly died Javy, Jake thought it might be important to call me.”
“But I didn’t die.”
“No, you didn’t, and you’re not allowed to either.”
“Aye aye, Captain.”

GET TO KNOW THE MUN. respond to the prompts out of character!
Tumblr media
what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have ?
at first, i had gained interest in rod from seeing a comparison of him to another one of my all time comfort charas (glenn harod.) when i found out about him and stephanie, i cried at the thought of a middle aged protestant reverend accepting and unconditionally loving his butch lesbian daughter without any preaching to her, it really solidified my interest in him as for making this blog, it was a combination of my wife @dollene encouraging me and being very excited for it, and i will shamelessly say i was excited about the potential of writing with @moralpuppet now that i had a newfound appreciation for orel and sav's writing of him ♡ ♡ ♡
is there anything you don’t like to write ?
i'm not the best at writing heavy angst these days, i have to take breaks on stuff that's super intense or it can get to me a bit. i also only rly write nsfw with @dollene / discuss nsfw topics with ppl i'm very close to ^^
is there anything you really enjoy writing ?
i love writing mundane scenarios a lot ! seeing characters in each other's daily routines, exploring mannerisms, etc. love that stuff !
how do you come up with headcanons ?
analyzing what i'm shown and going off that + my own experiences i've either lived or seen. headcanons are very fun to make bc i ADORE analyzing people and figuring out how they think, talk, move, etc. i could spend years analyzing characters (and i have,) it's a huge passion of mine
do you write in silence or do you play music ?
it depends ! since my mind is always constantly making noise anyways, i like to have some level of noise to quiet that part and let me focus. sometimes it's music, but i also enjoy listening to slime asmr videos, voc.aloid (as i can't understand the lyrics most of the time,) random videos / movies, or animals making noises. lately i've been writing listening to wrinkle the duck
do you plan your replies or wing them ?
plan plan plan ! in general, i'm a huge planner as is, and that comes into play with writing too.
do you enjoy shipping ?
to a degree ! every character i've written as of late has been exclusive to one other character and interpretation (usually just writing it with my wife,) and i do enjoy it very much ! but in terms of casual shipping that's just in general a no-go
what’s your alias / name ?
theo, though in the past i went by mothman for several years
age ?
24
birthday ?
october 28
favourite colour ?
oranges, greens, yellows and browns
favourite song ?
i don't have any technical 'favourites' atm, but i love kiltro and glass animals a lot as artists
last movie you watched ?
shrek 🫶
last show you watched ?
i'm almost in a continual state of rewatching m.oral or.el tbh
last song you listened to ?
rev.erend putty is a babygirl .........
favourite food ?
i've been loving making paninis lately ! i also love macaroni with tomatoes and smoked gouda, yum yum
favourite season ?
autumn ! i've always been a big fan of the fall since i was a child, though i've also been appreciating spring a lot too lately
do you have a tumblr best friend ?
many of them ! so many that i've dedicated a portion of my personal neocities to have a little friends section, which of course includes @dollene as my bifey and my lil puppet family ♡

Please may I have a Spy x family scenario of when Becky first met Greige Forger on his first day in the Eden Academy (he just had his sixth birthday and he transferred to Eden Academy because he moved up a school and he was actually smarter than he looked) and had an instant crush on him..it was rather awkward for Anya to say that Greige was her cousin. Greige found her incredibly overwhelming and she was clearly the type of person who wasn't considerate of his personal space and yet Becky was now imagining a wedding and having kids with him and then..Greige pulling a "She's scary" face when he hid behind Anya..Greige just only started. Becky was nice about it when Greige apologised for calling her scary..he had too many experiences with his mom's boyfriend and his aunt.
https://www.tumblr.com/justsomeoneintoomanyfandoms/733220789237727232/please-may-i-have-a-spy-x-family-headcanons-of (referring to this. Juvia Forger is Loid's younger sister age 25 and Greige Forger is Juvia's five year old son and everything)
Hi! Thank you for you're request! Sorry it took so long. I hope you like the scenario!
If you'd like to read more about Greige Forger and his mother, Juvia, you can find some headcanons about their relationships with other characters here.
Fandom: Spy x Family
Characters: Anya Forger and Becky Blackbell x Greige Forger (platonic)
Word Count: 0.5k (591 words)

“Okay Greige, you’ve got your bag?”
The young boy nodded at his mother.
“Your lunch?”
Another nod.
“And you know I love you so so so much?”
A final nod and a small smile.
“Okay then.” Juvia leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss against Greige’s forehead. She then turned to Anya, who stood next to her son. “Look after him for me Anya.”
Anya raised a hand to her forehead, saluting her Aunt with a serious expression. “Yes ma’am!” She turned to Greige, holding out a hand for him to take. Using her telepathy, she could tell her cousin was very nervous about his first day at a new school.
Greige took Anya’s hand and let her lead him through the gates of Eden Academy. His lower lip wobbled slightly the further he walked from his mother but he managed to keep his tears from falling.
“Anya!”
Anya winced as Greige squeezed her hand tightly at the loud noise. She turned to see Becky running up to her.
“Hi Becky!”
“How was your weekend? I went to the beach and-” Becky cut herself off, staring past Anya to where Greige was standing, partially behind his cousin.
Oh, he’s so cute!
Anya squinted at her friend. Was Becky in love with Greige? She just met him, she didn’t even know his name yet.
“What your name? I’m Becky Blackbell, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” She held a hand out to Greige, a blush lighting up her cheeks.
Greige made a squeaking sound and hid further behind Anya, gripping her hand tighter. Becky leaned to the side to look around Anya.
He’s a bit shy but he’s so cute! We’ll get married in the spring with all our friends and family. I’ll wear a white ball gown wedding dress and we’ll have a three tier cake. No, four tiers!
“What’s wrong, I’m just saying hi!” Becky leaned further around, taking a step towards Greige.
Greige made another startled noise and let go of Anya’s hand so he could run around to her other side so she was between him and Becky. Becky followed him, slowly at first but soon faster. Within a few moments, they were running around Anya, who stood in place, baffled as she listened to the thoughts of both her friends.
We’ll have a bunch of kids together!
Scary, scary, scary!
Actually, now that Anya thought about it, Greige was saying that out loud, not just in his head.
Kids were strange…
~ The rest of the day went smoothly after a teacher had come to break up the chase. Greige stayed close to Anya but whenever Becky was around, he made sure his cousin was between him and the other girl.
At the end of the day, Becky came up to Anya and Greige in a far more quiet manner than she had throughout the day.
“Greige, I’d like to apologise for being so loud earlier. I should have been more respectful.”
Greige took Anya’s hand again but didn’t hide behind his cousin. “It’s okay.” His voice was soft, “I’m sorry I called you scary.”
Becky looked like she was about to start fawning over him again but restrained herself. She held out her hand. “I hope we can be friends.”
Greige paused but then let go of Anya’s hand to shake Becky’s. This time Becky couldn’t restrain herself. She let out an excited squeal and Greige jumped back.
Anya shook her head with a sigh. She was going to have a very interesting mission ahead of her.
