anyway in the past week the irish government has voted down two motions which would have condemned the genocide in gaza.

i need everyone to stop lionising ireland as if its not also a european government with strong ties to the us. american weapons pass through shannon airport and will continue to, because yesterday the motion to stop that was voted down 83 to 50.

other governments have done much more but somehow people still act as though ireland is the ultimate palestinian ally and exempt from criticism on its handling of palestine bc it was once colonised, even though that past experience clearly isnt being taken into account by the irish government when creating policy.

i live here i know there’s a lot of public support and sympathy for palestine, which is great, but that isnt reflected in government, and i think ireland should be treated like other countries whose governments have done nothing.

memories better left forgotten

i was emotionally groveling over how phos and shinsha's last moments together were tainted with anguish and sorrow... 🙂 i think it's interesting to see the progressive shift in shinsha's confidence, indicating how much their resolve grew since their first encounter with phos.

out of the two, shinsha is the only one who remembers their promise and the extent of its deep significance. between letting go of the notebook and crushing the mercury-formed figure of young phos, it felt like shinsha forcibly wanted to distance their old feelings for phos, at least the memory of the version who actively wanted to save them in the first place, in order to protect adamant.

nevertheless, i'd like to think shinsha's efforts didn't fall through considering how clearly they could recall their gratefulness to phos since the last few centuries the promise was made until the very end. ^_T

being in the supernatural fandom is so funny. there are pages-long essays about characterization, metaphors and picture. there is a lot of crack. the fandom is divided whether you ship world's biggest age gap or incest. one of the main actors has an ao3 account and has probably read the fanfiction. another one of the main cast made his own fanfaction and turn it into a tv show. your favourite characters dies, you laugh bc it wont last, the stay dead for a little bit too long and you start to get worry, they get resurrected and damn, these writers dont know when to stop, its the third time they died and came back, fucking commit to it. we all hate the writers and producers. literally invented queerbait and we all fell for it. a random character from a totally unrelated show is canon bisexual and wow, we are trending. you want to defend your fav character and your main obstacle is your fav character (you gaslight yourself into "all fault is on the writers not my baby"). we out-trended the us elections and contine to trend on every anniversary of that day. we discuss which season is the best like they arent a recycled plot we already seen. the show was meant appel to conservaties and the fandom is made of gay people somehow. the main characters are alcoholic murderers that do extremely questionable stuff every season and we love them for it. someone outside the spn fandom finds out you are in and they look at you like you are insane and you cant even blame them.

God. I love s2 Amity, don’t get me wrong, but. S1a Amity’s vibes are just sooooo fucking iconic. This girl hasn’t had more than four hours of sleep in three years. She dislikes her siblings and they genuinely loathe her in return. She has a mental breakdown after accidentally cheating in a competition. Say what you will about Emma 2020 but here are the things that it did get right:

• Frank and Knightley awkwardly staring/glaring at each other at odd moments (like it is so clear how envious Knightley is of him)

• Emma is both endearing and insufferable, which is a balance that is difficult to obtain

• Harriet is adorable

• Robert Martin has the saddest puppy-dog eyes ever

• Their two male servants were SO FUNNY and once you notice them you see them everywhere, like they were witness to pretty much everything that happened in this movie like they know EVERYTHING

• Mr. Knightley singing and playing the violin!!! !!!!!

• How happy Harriet is when Mr. Knightley asks her to dance, she’s BEAMING

• THE DANCE BETWEEN EMMA AND MR. KNIGHTLEY??? WHAT WAS THAT????

• Emma crying after Mr. Knightley lectures her at Box Hill

• You might say that they make Knightley’s love for Emma too obvious, and that’s a valid critique, but that does mean that we also get to see Knightley going through The Horrors. That man is Distraught and I love to see it

• Specifically I mean when he dramatically flops on the floor at Donwell and his servant very quickly leaves the room like “nope I’m out.” 10/10 he reserves the right to be dramatic in his own home and I’m living for it

The central continent of my worldbuilding world is dominated by marsupials and monotremes, and birds. There are several species of thylacine, and one — which is essentially our Thylacinus cynocephalus — is domesticated.

They are a recent domestication, with about 250 generations having passed. Compared to the wild ancestors, they have similar builds, but with more colours, variation in size, and longer lifespans (12-20 years). They have lost their natural reclusive nature and though shy, are friendly and inquisitive and trainable to a point. Most prefer to be solitary or tolerate the presence of 1-2 others, though get along well with other calm-tempered species. Their prey drive is greatly reduced but many suffer anxiety in loud or busy environments.
