Riddle and Jamil are able to maintain a relationship based on mutual respect and the desire to keep you protected from other people. But before that happens they have things to discuss and deal with it, Jamil doesn't like how restrictive Riddle is and Riddle feels insecure that you'll like Jamil more for all the things he knows how to do.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Although when they resolve these issues, they are quick to work to make you fall in love with them and propose a three-way relationship, Jamil and Riddle will always make sure you feel comfortable with them, whether this is your first time having a poly relationship or not.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Riddle has no knowledge on what is expected in a romantic relationship but he did read quite a ton of romances. He is a little nervous but he doesn't show it, maintaining a gentleman persona around you, opening doors and accompanying you wherever you need to go, lending his ear to your problems and coaxing you to spend time with him and Jamil. He's not that touchy, both because he is not used to it and because he is too mindful of your boundaries and won't do something you don't explicitly want, he has more of a acts of service as his love language, but he occasionally likes to hold your hand or put one of his arms around your shoulders. He do more romantic things as your relationship progress and you're both comfortable with it.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Jamil, on the other hand, is more relaxed with his affection to you, he knows you truly loves them both equally and he adjust himself to what you're more comfortable with. Though I do see him as someone who has more of a acts or service and quality time person, he absolutely love to spend his free time with you because you breath new air onto his stagnant life, you are a sight for sore eyes. And he is left giddy everytime you come to watch him play, scoring multiple times just to hear you cheering for him.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Jamil sometimes helps Riddle articulate his thoughts, though he does find funny how much Riddle fumble awkwardly around you.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Having a sister, Jamil knows quite well what get a girl's heart swelling happily and he does all sorts of things for you. He even let you using as a model for you, braiding his hair and painting his nails. Jamil likes gifting you things, though he rather likes making them himself. Turns the gift into something more personal since he was the one who created it. He can makes jewelry for you, can knit, sew and weave you clothes.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ And while Jamil makes you those things, Riddle remain more suave, writing little poems or passing you little cute notes to remember you to drink water and take care of yourself. If Jamil provides for more on the material side of things, Riddle works more on your emotional, always checking on you.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ They fall in sync very quickly and understand each other very well because of their love for you, almost being able to communicate through their looks. Sometimes they send each other photos and videos of you or exchange names about people that are being a bit too flirty and touchy with you, people who ended up missing and a bloody mess, oops. You're like the light in the end of the tunnel for them, the only good thing in their life and they spoil rotten. Attention, affection, everything you could ask for. They only ask is that you don't let your light be tainted by those other peoples.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ While on NRC, you guys normally have study dates or baking dates, chitchat on Riddle's unbirthday parties, or just do something you really want to. You also have regularly sleepovers on your dorm.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ Things got complicated on vacation because Jamil and Riddle lives in different countries, plus Jamil has to deal with a lot being Kalim's servant. You three have to think of a way to deal with it everytime.

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ They don't punish you, they can't. Riddle can collar you, sure, but that won't stop you, if anything you'd be angry. So Jamil is usually the one to make you stop acting a certain way using his unique magic on you while cradles your face lovingly in his hands as he stared into your eyes. Your eyes slowly rolling back and your mind foggy, but it's ok, they've got you. Just stay pretty and love them as much as they love you.

Thinking about a poly Thorfinn/Canute/Reader and they both happen to be yanderes. They meet you while Thorfinn and you were guarding the young prince. Thorfinn has known you for several years and has grown close to you over that time, so naturally he is possessive and overprotective of you. You are in a band of ruthless mercenaries, not to mention Askeladd; why wouldn't he act the least bit protective over you?

Then you add Canute to the mix, and suddenly Thorfinn is threatening to knife anyone who comes close enough to either of you two. For what it's worth, his feelings stem from his fear of losing the only healthy person who has been consistent in his life. His father was killed, Askeladd is toxic, and the rest of the band just has bloodlust. Okay, maybe Bjorn is a small exception because he does act like a mother towards Thorfinn sometimes but still ultimately sides with Askeladd. Still, you are the only one who is allowed to patch up his wounds and sleep next to him at night.

So then we have Canute, who is barely able to talk with you because Thorfinn is staring daggers (both figuratively and literally) at him. So as their travels progress and Canite gets bolder, he slowly grows closer to you, and Thorfinn hates that. He would kill the pretty little blonde if it weren't for Askeladd promising him a duel if he kept the prince safe.

One night, it all comes to a climax when you are sleeping next to Thorfinn. They both end up in an argument over their behavior, and Thorfinn accidentally outs himself.

"Why do you have to be such a stupid, pretty little blonde?"

"You think I'm pretty Thorfinn?"

"That's not what I meant, Princess."

Thorfinn gets all pouty and embarrassed.

Canute feels like he has the upper hand just this once, so he proposes sharing you between the two young men. Thorfinn is almost entirely opposed to this idea, but for some odd reason, he nods and agrees with Canute. Only if Thorfinn is allowed to stay near you at all times.

Thorfinn and Canute are two completely different yanderes whose tendencies stem from the same thing: fear. Thorfinn has a fear of losing you and wants your love and attention (even if he won't admit it). Canute has a fear of not being loved, as he isn't loved by his father, and he wants to be loved by the person who has shown him some love. Thorfinn is aggressive and very outward about how protective he is of you, while Canute opts for a more quiet and cunning approach. Oh, they were bothering you? Either Thorfinn is straight up murdering them, or Canute will order someone to take care of them for him. Thorfinn needs your attention and praise constantly (in his distant and grumpy way), while Canute is content just being looked at by you. Thorfinn is possessive, while Canute is obsessive. Canute will practically worship the land you walk on, while Thorfinn will see you as his only equal.

They are opposites, yet they mesh well together.

They don't realize that they also have feelings for each other until after the King and Askeladd's deaths. Thorfinn was so very torn as he saw you standing near Canute with a shocked and pained expression on your face. He felt his heart and trust break into so many pieces as he saw Canute open and vulnerable for a killing strike. Yet he only slashed the edge of Canute's cheek as he realized that he couldn't kill the pretty little blonde. He couldn't hurt or be mad at you either. He just felt confused.

Canute knows that he has to act like a leader, so he orders everyone out except for you and Thorfinn.

Canute confesses that he has developed romantic feelings for both you and Thorfinn during your travels together. He thought you both looked so attractive while protecting him from people trying to kill him. He states that he is unable to live a life if Thorfinn hates him, and he offers Thorfinn the sword that killed Askeladd to slit his throat if he would like. Thorfinn takes the sword and shakes as tears escape his eyes. He can't. He can't kill the stupid blonde. He loves him. He loves you. He loves how you constantly care for him and stay near him even when he pushes you away. He loves Canute because he just loves him. He doesn't know when he started, and he is scared that he won't be able to stop.

He allows the sword to clatter onto the ground as he pulls both of you into a tight and warm hug.

Cue Canutes religious guilt and his breakdown of what his beliefs are all while romantically loving two people, one of whom is a man.

You stare at them with a perplexed expression as they both clumsily confess their love for you as well (leaving out that they will and have already murdered for you).

The only question that remains is: What will happen next? Will all three of you live with Canute? Will Thorfinn start a journey of self-discovery and end up traveling to Vinland? Will you ever figure out that their love isn't so innocent and that you won't ever escape from them?

I have to say I loved "Honor Bound"!! Mainly because you have poly relationships within it, I love having these options in games, my favorites are Matia and Korzha!!

And if that's okay, I wanted to ask a few questions that made me curious about this (but you don't have to answer them if you don't want to).

1- In chapter 5, when we have the option to enter into a relationship with Matia, does this automatically block any other type of relationship we could have with Korzha in poly?

2- Do you plan to put a price on the game in the future? Are you going to send it to "Choice of Games" or is it going to be something more individual on your part? (I saw the game on Itch.io, so I wanted to clear this doubt)

Honor Bound is going to be published through Choice of Games and will be available to buy, though I don't know how much it will cost. The WIP is hosted on itch.io for now because I wanted an option where you keep current progress if you close the tab or browser (which dashingdon doesn't allow you to do).

Starting any sort of relationship with Matia or Korzha does not block a polyamorous relationship with the two of them - the only thing blocks it is choosing options with the [End/Reject Romance] tag for either of them.

Small, slightly spoilery extra detail:

You can have a brief discussion about the idea, hypothetically, with Matia in Chapter 5. But you don't have to have that conversation in order to start it later.

Not every PC's choices will be compatible with the Matia/Korzha polyamorous romance. There are some dealbreakers that come up beyond the demo. But they will have the [End/Reject Romance] tag on them and it should be clear. eg, a character saying explicitly "if X doesn't happen or Y does happen, I need to keep my distance from you".

You'll also need to signal to both of them that you have some interest in them before Chapter 9. That doesn't have to be starting to date/kissing/sleeping with them/having conversations about romance, it can just be meaningful looks or light flirting. But they won't start a polyamorous relationship that late if you're completely starting from scratch.

(side note, the solo romances can be started that late without having flirted previously.)

All of which to say, it should not be possible to unknowingly/accidentally block off a romance in this game.

My review on BOLAS 2

In general I found the sequel to be a worthy successor to book 1. It had lots of funny scenes, heartfelt moments and surprising twists. Most of the new art was great and high quality as usual and I really enjoyed the world building. The main aspects that felt lackluster were romance and the final battle, plus a few smaller annoyances.

Things I liked:

world building - the story not only vastly expanded but almost turned the lore we'd learned in book 1 upside down. It was cool learning that the world isn't just black and white, the evil shadow realm and the good light realm, but much more complicated and each side sees the other as bad guys. It was a positive surprise to learn that amongst the dangerous monsters there were ordinary and good-hearted people living in the shadow realm. Tyril and Nia even had existential crisis after learning that dwarves were using shadow magic without getting corrupted.

complex (ex-)villains - that snarky Aerin was very annoying at first but it was hard to keep hating him even after the damage and heartache he'd caused in book 1, especially since Nia who'd suffered the most was able to forgive him. Similar thing with Valax. At first she seemed like a typical one-dimensional villain with a single wish to wipe out the light realm. Then it turned out she was just a purpose built tool and brainwashed to carry out someone else's world domination plans. In reality Valax was compassionate and cared about her people and sadly had never felt love and affection. Even the couple from the shadow court was strangely sympathetic.

dark and twisted moments - especially what happened to Cherta's grandmother. The way she turned into an ugly and murderous creature when Cherta was trying to keep her alive must have been an extremely traumatic experience. All the challenges the girl went through to find cure for her grandma only for it all to end in such an ugly manner. The couple of times when the MC had PTSD attacks were also heavy and heartbreaking. Or how we fed a cute puppy to a dragon for a magical feather.

Art - I loved most of the CGs, the one with Nia telling a story to kids was especially sweet and tear-jerking. The party artwork was a bit funny though, especially giant Nia just posing for us while others were busy with important stuff. New backgrounds were beautiful and new characters like the dwarves and goblins looked interesting. And why are evil women always so damn hot? I liked the original looks of LIs more but the redesigns were alright too, although I had to correct Nia's hairline to keep it consistent with book 1 hairstyles. Premium outfits were well done too, though I complained how different in style the male and female Whimsywood outfits were. My favourite was the male Shroudwatch outfit.

Things that weren't so great

pacing - The story started off very quickly. Following a short recap the MC was immediately kidnapped and after escaping and getting the gang back together it was a constant running and fighting. Luckily the story slowed down a bit later and we finally had more time to really catch up with our friends and loved ones after 3 years of waiting. The story should have focused more on how the kidnapping affected everyone. Those were the best scenes.

romance - some may like the poly/harem style freedom that they can easily romance anyone whenever they want without any limits and repercussions but for me it took away the sense of progression. It often felt like romancing my LI in book 1 meant nothing. There were a few rare moments where it changed a scene a bit but most of the time it seemed like we were merely friends. I'd like to see more acknowledgement that I'm dating one character, especially from other characters. I don't want my LI to be called just a friend when they're clearly more than that. I would have loved for an opportunity to lock to a certain romance path or involved parties to sit down and discuss polyamorous relationship. It was also strange that the MC had to sleep alone and couldn't choose to stay with the LI after making love. Another thing that grinded my gears were the romantic choices. Almost all of them were about asking a kiss from the LI, even with Valax after just a few flirty options. It's nice when picking romantic choices leads to kissing as well but romance is so much more than pushing tongues down each other's throats. Where are the tender moments, pouring one's heart out, cuddling etc? The romance has become too shallow and lustful in Choices books.

the main villain - The Ash Empress could have been an equally complex character like her daughter. After all, she turned out to be the former Mother of Grey, an old deity with an unfortunate destiny who was good-natured at first but banished to the shadow realm where she got corrupted. However, besides a tiny glimpse of hope for redemption, she remained a typical one-dimensional evil character with a banal desire to conquer the world. She didn't seem very dangerous and frightening either, despite her looks. Everyone kept making fun of the empress which easily triggered her. And defeating her felt super easy, barely an inconvenience.

the final battle - I think it was too big and convoluted. There was a lot going on, the MC kept running from one place to another to help others but the stakes never felt high enough or the odds against us, unlike the first book.

Other remarks + hopes and expectations for book 3

I wonder why the Watcher left the rift near the White Tower for last. After all, that's where our journey began in book 2. It doesn't make any sense besides plot convenience.

I guess since the story teased a new world deep below ours, we are going to spend most of the time there, which is how PB was able to give us such important choices at the end. We probably won't be seeing the consequences of our choice for long, only in the first chapter until we get the gang back together and start a new adventure. Later on it will probably just be mentioned here and there.

throughout the first two books we've had a chance to learn so many skills and find so much helpful magical bling that our MC feels very overpowered already. All of them seem underused as well. So, instead of being introduced to a plethora of new stuff, we could finally put the 27(!) already learned skills to good use and focus on something else...

...like characters. We now have 6 LIs who all are hungry for our attention. Let's spend more time with them. And the social quests could also have platonic routes. I would have gladly spent on scenes with others besides my LI but unlike WTD the 30-diamond scenes were purely romantic.

Threep (and Loola) should rejoin the crew. The owlbear cub was cute and Mal constantly picking on Tyril was funny but Threep was one of the highlights of book 1.

No more "💗 I'd like a kiss" choices. The heart icon already hints at the romantic choice, the rest doesn't have to be so obvious and should allow the writers to be more creative.

I hope to experience more moments that make us laugh, cry, puke, pull the hair out and punch the screen. Action scenes can be fun but it's the emotions I mostly look forward to.

I am ashamed to say my taste hasn't changed since I was a teenager. I would have loved this if it was a paperback. But what I love about Interactive fiction is that I can control the narrative after sobbing for hours over stupid MCs in books who pissed me off so I actually really like this.

I simply wanted to say I hope you take care of yourself during the writing process. I noticed you are quite fast with updates and fixing errors and that's great but please don't overwork yourself. Such great books get canceled because talented people take on too much. Remember you are only human (which made me giggle writing because of the premise of this game)

I have questions:

1. Will you in future be making mood boards or maybe just more detailed descriptions of the ROs such as likes/dislikes or personality traits/esthetics?

2. You mentioned there will be sexual and romantic/poly options aswell. Is MCs sexual orientation gonna be an issue or talk point in any of the routes? I'm following a IF where if you are a same gender MC the topic comes up if it's new to a certain RO. which I think is cool if it's done well without all the hate and pitchforks from simple minded people.

3. As for asks is there anything you are uncomfortable answering? I know alot of pages do NSFW asks or prohibit them or do certain scenario asks (the what if/ reactions from RO asks)

I hope none of my questions are too much if it is just feel free to skip them please I don't want you to spoil too much if you would rather not.

My perspective on the romance options are that you are spoiling us. In the end it comes down to romancing:

1. Death which is like wtf I doubt it's in his usual routine to date.

2. Doing a devilish fboy route who you will try to fix and teach emotions. God knows we've all tried that in high school.

Or

My personal hell 3. A forbidden angsty make you want to tell your MC to get it tf together route aka try not to fall for someone with a pulse when you lack one.

I'm very invested in this. Seriously I adore fantasy games usually ones with a darker take but I love slice of life anime so this is the best of both worlds for me.

First of all - THANK YOU for taking the time with this detailed response. I can't say how much i appreciate it! Before diving into your points I'll note on my quick progress with the story so far, I really get it! This story came to me after 6 years of being in writer's block, so it kind of feels like a dam has broken and this is the result lol. But I'm definitely taking care of myself - just that instead of playing Baldur's Gate 3 all day this is what I'm doing lol. Now to some answers! 1. I'll definitely will come up with a RO board in the near future, i was also wondering if I should use AI art for it but I am kind of new to this scene and really don't want the pitchforks my way so I haven't decided yet 2. As of now, instead of picking an actual orientation the player can just pick the genders of the romance options and then decide to themselves how they feel about them (with 3 romance options and 1 for friendship) i think that's the best way to include everyone. Also, want to add that each romance option will have 2-3 endings so romance or friendship paths can go in different ways. 3. Fine with answering everything! This story is currently not going to have explicit sexual content (but also not fade-to-black. I guess when I cross the bridge I'll decide) I will say that I'm going to update here often BUT don't want the tumblering to take over the actual writing process (as I see some of the creators here do lol) Happy to hear you are excited about the romances like i do! I also have thought of adding more, maybe even with the staff (although that's a minefield to navigate when you consider the power imbalances) I guess it will depend on the feedback. ending waves is a fic about a big run occuring in inkopolis ( i believe so. ) that had been going on for weeks, citizens taking cover in abandoned locations and such, fighting off salmonids as the water rises constantly and all that cool badass shit. this is centered around the s5, mainly army, with a few audio logs along the way and shit. if you can't read here's basically something to sum it up

"This Big Run was supposed to end multiple days ago, as always. The salmonids have not left yet. There's no signs of their invasion stopping. The water has only been rising up.

So I'm an aroace and nb and use he/they pronouns so people just assume I'm a transman but whatever. And currently in a qpr with a lesbian but I can't help but feel this isn't what they want.

When I first brought up the idea of qpr with them we both got excited and agreed our close experiences were exactly like that. Since then they have started seeing a woman but we never talked about it at all - as in the monogamous or poly nature of our qpr so I initially was really hurt because they've never expressed interest in poly stuff so in other words they never really thought of us being in a qpr was genuine??? Or at least never thought about how things between all 3 of us would affect our relationship?

I've since spoken to her about it (communication is important!!) and expressed my concerns over it and we both cried a lil but they assured me that they want to continue being in this relationship with me regardless of the label. And I am genuinely happy because at the end of the day labels are just labels and sometimes cannot accurately describe things, but I also want the inclusivity of being able to describe our relationship as being qpr to other people (it's something I've always dreamed of! - I know there are aro and aspec people that don't care for qpr so I'm not trying to invalidate anyone with this I'm just trying to express my own experiences). And I get the feeling that since this incident they may feel uncomfortable with labelling as qpr.

Also, it doesn't really address how things are going to progress between us all and I'm scared that being in a qpr(?) isn't a priority for her ever since her actions with seeking out a gf whilst not being particularly bent on polyamory. I still absolutely believe in her and what she said about us but I am also aware of how people can change over time and especially of how people can change when they start dating.

I guess I'm asking if anyone has ever been in similar situations of being in a qpr that's also poly and theyre experiences with how that worked for them or just any insights in general about this. (I am aware I'm a very anxious and anxiety-riddled being which is why I think I'm struggling to cope :( ).

the series where I just ramble about poly ships getting together because it's fun

the thing is. everyone can tell aran and kita are into each other. they love to spend time together. aran goes out of his way to understand kita's peculiarities. kita laughs at aran's jokes all the time even when they're not that funny.

it's just that they don't do anything about it and nobody knows why. they're both smart people, they can't be that oblivious, can they?

it frustrates atsumu to no end. now, it really shouldn't be his business what they do or don't do, but. he's been nursing his own crush on aran since middle school, only to then see aran so smitten with kita. and he can't even be mad! obviously anyone would fall in love with kita. he's perfect. atsumu should hate him for stealing aran and even he's falling for kita's charms.

both of them are so damn lucky the other likes them, and atsumu's not jealous. he would be, if there was anything to be jealous of, but there isn't because they don't do anything about their obvious crushes. it's maddening. atsumu doesn't even know who he'd be jealous of anymore. and his stupid, stupid heart won't even stop hoping if there's no concrete evidence that it should. like this, it beats like crazy in his chest every time aran ruffles the twins' hair and lets his hand linger in atsumu's just a tad longer than osamu's. or when kita smiles at him and praises him for a play well done.

he knows aran is just friendly and sees the twins as his little brothers. kita is proud of his kouhai. sometimes, at least. that's all that is. but his heart doesn't get the memo.

so atsumu's getting fed up with the lack of progress, but osamu tells him not to meddle, so he does what he always does when he needs to let off steam, which is practicing his serves.

osamu went home without him so he thinks he can keep going until he's about to collapse, but then he gets interrupted. and of course it's kita and aran who stayed behind to talk to the coach or smth. definitely not to do what they should be doing which is making out behind the gym.

and kita instantly starts to scold atsumu for staying so late, he shouldn't be overworking himself, he's gotta take better care of himself

for once atsumu doesn't listen to him tho, just fires back like "it's not like you do what's good for yourself which would be kissing aran so you got no room to talk!" and he just goes on a rant how literally everyone knows they're in love and atsumu wouldn't even be here working off his frustration about his crushes on them if they just got their shit together

aran is stunned into total silence while kita just plainly presents his perspective, which is yeah he was aware that both aran and atsumu are giving him looks as if they like him, he was just under the impression they were already dating, so he felt it would be rude to insert himself there without being asked first. he was hoping they'd ask eventually.

atsumu's brain kinda explodes at this and he can see the same happening to aran, like no???? they're not dating?? kita's just there like "huh. you just looked so close. my bad."

poor aran then has to go. yes I've had a crush on atsumu for years. didn't act on it cuz poor little samu didn't understand what was going on and thought aran didn't like him anymore when he was trying to spend some time with just atsumu. so he just gave up on it. and yeah he's been eyeing kita also but it's not like he ever got over atsumu. also no he didn't realize either of them were into him. that's wild. what do you mean lovestruck looks he's never seen either of them do that. no not at each other either. he thought everyone but him was only interested in volleyball and friendship.

atsumu is happy he's for once not the dumbest one in a situation

kita suggests they date since they all like each other, it's the most logical solution

aran can barely keep up. atsumu jumps them and tries to kiss both of them at the same time and fails horribly. aran tells him that's obviously not how it works and kita laughs at their antics. and atsuaran just melt at how sweet he sounds and try to kiss him at the same time. and fail horribly.

one day, they'll figure that out, but it's not this day

Age gap: 1 I'm usually indifferent about age, idc either way if they're the exact same age or have a super big gap lol. But I didn't put 0 because I have seen some situations where it is done in a way that's super fun and can make the dynamics more interesting. Codependency: 10 Gimme allll the codependent unhealthy pairings! I will say that I tend to prefer super codependent friendships who prioritise each other over their significant others, and the partners just have to deal with the permanent +1. But honestly I'm always there for any codependent dynamics in fiction lol.

Obsession/possessives or Jealousy: 5 Depends on how its done. If its done well and the story is juicy? Hell yeah, that's gotta be one of my fav tropes. But if it's done in a way that doesn't quite tickle my brain right, it can be a squick and I wont be continuing the fic

Opposites (grumpy/sunshine, etc): 10 Most of my OTPS fall into this trope lol

Enemies to lovers, enemies with benefits: -10 I need the love to be there. I can't deal with any sort of hate sex or even too much conflict. It isn't a "nope" though because I have read maybe one or two enemies to lovers fics that were pretty good- they need to meet very specific standards for me to click on the fic and continue it, so most of the time I just don't bother.

Friends with benefits: -8 Ehhh... I can enjoy these on a rare occasion, but again, definitely not something I seek out.

Sex with feelings: 0 If its in a fic, then great love to see them connect. But I'm not gonna seek out a oneshot that's just this trope. Sex just doesn't do anything for me lol

Fake/pretend dating relationships: 3 These can be good, but only if there are no misunderstandings (my least favourite trope). Unfortunately they tend to go hand in hand, so I don't click these fics often, but when they're good, they're good.

Friends to lovers: 8 Super cute! I love when they already have a foundation to their relationship

Found family: 10 Found family is my kink

Hurt/comfort: 9 As long as the comfort is super good and lasts just as long (if not longer) than the hurt, I'm all for it. Makes for some of the best fics, the roller coaster of emotion is always *chef's kiss*. But I'm def not a fan of when the comfort is literally there for all of two seconds before the fic ends. If fics tagged with this trope reliably had long comfort scenes then this would easily be a 10, but it's -1 point due to those blue balling situations lol.

Love Triangle: Nope Hell no. I hate that it's so prominent in media, I'm not about to seek it out in fic too.

Poly, open relationships: 0 Don't care either way. As long as its an interesting storyline and characters that I care about, I'll read it

Mistaken/hidden identity: -5 Not usually something I look for or enjoy, I have read some good ones tho.

Monsterfucking: 5 As long as the focus isn't on the fucking (again sex doesn't do it for me lol) then sure, super interesting dynamics at play there

Pregnancy: -1 Will only enjoy if I'm in the mood for it

Second Chance: 9 I love a good grovelling fic... as long as the second chance isn't due to cheating or some other major betrayal/literal crime against the person. That's not something I can forgive, and as such don't like seeing it in characters. It also only works when the one giving the second chance doesn't immediately forgive whatever the hell happened... we need gradual progress where the one in trouble proves that whatever happened will not do so again.

Slowburn: -5 The only time I will read is if it is secondary to the plot. An entire focus on two characters either just not communicating or taking their grand ol time realising what we all already know? Nah, not for me. Representation in comics is seriously in the gutter these days but you know what specific examples really piss me off more than anything else?

When people try and use these panels to claim that Kitty is bi. This shit aggravates me on SO MANY LEVELS, first and foremost of which is the sheer fucking lack of self-respect on display that comes from it. Like I don't know about the white gays who go apeshit for these but Kitty's bisexuality being hinted at exactly once, not being addressed at all for two years, hinted at a second time then ignored again to this day really makes me feel so seen and represented. Call me old-fashioned but I want better than that, for Kitty and for myself.

And they hit you with that slick shit, they go "they kissed! She said she has a type "of guy"! What do you mean that's not canon!" and you know what, it would be canon, if writers knew how to do it, but they don't. Bluebird is my favourite DC character and her canonical coming out was not much better than whatever this attempt with Kitty is, she got canonised and then also promptly ignored and never addressed again, and that's BAD that's a damn SHAME there's prime opportunity here for interesting character work they're not taking advantage of

BUT.

At least she said it. At least she said, out loud, in plain English, on official ink and paper "I am bisexual" and now no one can take that from her, if they do it's intentional erasure. There is a concrete, inarguable source point to refer back to. Kitty never said it, so it doesn't count.

And that's not to say "every single comic character that gets canonised as LGBT+ HAS to say their sexuality out loud!!!" like no there are plenty of queer people who choose not to stick with one specific label preferring to be nebulous and undecided and that's FINE that's GREAT it's a viable avenue for representation in comics

BUT.

If a character doesn't say it out loud then the trade off is you have to put the work in, you have to do it in a meaningful way, you can't just do it once then only do it whenever you need to tell people "hey we didn't forget!" And that's just not something editorial is willing to commit to. Worth noting too, HUGE benefit of the doubt to the writers, the fact these panels even exist is a sign they want to do it, but for my sanity, I'm gonna assume it's editorial's fault. That said, there are a few names that come to mind but that's for another post.

Comics are getting more and more progressive each year, which is so great to see

BUT.

The trade off for THAT is they're so so scared of offending anybody, they don't want to say for absolute certainty that anyone is or isn't - do the words "bare minimum" sound familiar? - and the ones that do by some miracle get confirmed, like Tim/Bernard or JayJon - are immediately shoved together with some zero development character that was so painfully obviously shoehorned in just to say that the other character is LGBT, and they're just not INTERESTING. All these relationships are clean and safe, pulled fresh from a Hallmark commercial and the dialogue is written like a goddamn PSA instead of real people. And I don't even care about Tim or Jon like that (especially not with Tom Taylor's hack writing) so that should be an indicator of how much this pisses me off, like we are never returning to the days of Scandal Savage marching into hell to save her one true love then ending up in a poly relationship because they're scared of implying that gay people go to hell or something equally stupid and cowardly.

So uh tl;dr Big 2 Comics are fucking spineless in case you didn't know that and please don't hope for actual representation from them, go out and read some books that actually do interesting and engaging explicit queer relationships (start with Invisible Kingdom by G. Willow Wilson)

Planned out pre-Nightbringer release, it follows the life of an OC named Merry, who was born into some vaguely Medieval version of the human realm. Merry is something called a witchling, and BOY is the church pissed about that. Some nonsense happens, and she ends up in the care of The Seven Rulers of Hell, shortly before the demon king goes into his big big sleep. I wouldn't exactly call it canon compliant, especially now that we have Nightbringer, but I'm attached to it and it seems fun to write.

Culture Shock will be a look into what it means to be a master of demons in this less-than-rosy AU. So yeah, more demonic demons, more esoteric angels, an AFAB goth dommy mommy MC, an exploration of the fucked up cultures of heaven and hell, and Too Much Smut, all wrapped up in the package of the exchange program.

Set in a world where the three realms all exist in one space. High fantasy, more monsters, ancient era. Set just after the brothers fall. They find themselves dispersed throughout the world with no way to find one another in vastly different bodies than the ones they're used to. Alone, they must each figure out how to find their way back together. Might be a series for each brother, might be one fic with alternating POV. Definitely a wide cast of original characters. Not super romance focused, though. They'll likely start out locked into their final demon forms, so big fuck off monsters, with an unknown condition that has to be met to allow them to shift down into lower forms.

↳ Hashirama is probably the only person Madara would agree to be in a poly relationship with, to be honest. But even then, it took him some adjusting to—meanwhile Hashirama walked straight into this relationship as if you've all been together for years already.

↳ I figure that within a society where marriage is mostly out of political nature, you'd get a lot of weird looks thrown your way in the beginning. Neither Hashirama nor Madara are very vocal about your relationship, but they don't try to conceal it either, so it has lead to awkward situations where someone's accused you of cheating.

↳ Hashirama laughed in their face when they reported it to him. Madara got mad at them for assuming such vile things about you. Hashirama is always happy to explain to people what a polyamorous relationship entails and is all about normalizing it. Madara agrees with the normalizing part, not so much about giving explanations.

↳ Madara is ready to throw hands at anyone who makes judgemental comments about you. If it's directed at him, though, he's going to boast because he managed to make two people fall for him while the other probably has sex with their spouse (if they have one) like once a year. ↳ About your actual relationship — you've all agreed not to count the moments two of you get to spend alone time with to avoid any jealousy building up. None of you cares that someone spent more time with X or the Y.

↳ Actually, because both Hashirama and Madara are always so busy, whenever one of them is free, they've agreed to spend that time with you so you don't feel left out or alone. You guys make it work without any struggles.

↳ Madara is the most physically affectionate one. He can't keep his hands to himself when you're within a twenty-feet radius of him. He has more self-control with Hashirama, mostly because when he's alone with him, it's more often than not work related. Gotta stay professional when negotiating alliances, you know.

↳ Hashirama is the one to bring you gifts and tell you (and Madara) that he loves you constantly. He often gets emotional when the three of you get to spend some time together, and it almost always ends with him squeezing the life out of both you and Madara. You're the only one who hugs back.

↳ You each have your separate rooms. Madara and Hashirama rarely sleep in theirs. You had to get a king-size bed two weeks after you moved in together because your previous queen size could not fit you and two giant men all at once without one of you having to narrowly escape death by smothering every night.

The man is always freezing somehow, so he always has to cuddle with either you or Hashirama when he's sleeping. Don't tell anyone though. ↳ Madara absolutely refuses to sleep in the middle. In case of a threat he wants to be able to get up quickly. Hashirama does the same thing out of Hokage duty, since it's his job to protect the village. So you're the (un)fortunate one who gets to sleep in the middle. Hashirama moves a lot in his sleep. ↳ Hashirama is always gushing about your relationship to anyone who even remotely brings up the subject of his love life. He's in love with you, with Madara, and with what you guys have — he has so much love to give, so being able to love two people at the same time is practically his definition of happiness.

↳ Madara is kind of a tsundere when it comes to Hashirama. He'll often act like he's not madly in love with him as much as he is with you in public, even if he's not very good at hiding it (and that thanks to Hashirama, everyone knows this bitch is gay as hell). As a result, he ends up acting uncharacteristically whipped for you. Not as overcompensation, because Madara is actually a simp, but it's the contrast between the affection he gives you versus Hashirama that makes it look that way.

↳ Highkey your relationship is the healthiest, most loving, and most wholesome in all of Konoha and it's not even a contest. Your love probably ends up inspiring more people to try it out and finally live their lives as their true selves.

↳ Madara has a love-hate relationship with Hashirama's stamina. On one hand, it makes for an amazing sex life for the both of you, but every single time the man has sex with you, he leaves you sore and exhausted for days. Which means he has to wait. And he does, because he understands, but it's frustrating.

↳ Not that he's any better, but you know. Double standards. He's allowed to be a little hypocritical sometimes. Madara can last just as long, but because of how rough he is, he tends to bring you to your breaking point much faster than Hashirama does, who likes to take his time.

↳ As you guessed it, it's an absolute nightmare when they decide to fuck you at the same time. While Madara is unofficially the lead, Hashirama doesn't shy away from going off on his own and get you to cry while Madara holds you, preventing you from running away even as your mind goes completely blank from Hashirama's tongue working miracles between your legs.

↳ When it's the three of you involved, they rarely do anything with each other. Their entire focus is on you, and sometimes they get a little competitive and start counting how many times they can make you cum before you've reached your limit.

↳ Hashirama has definitely walked in on Madara balls deep inside of you in most of the rooms in the Hokage Tower a handful of times. Even his office. He never bats an eye. He just tells you to continue whatever you're going while he's gonna keep working. If staring at you from the corner of his eyes while pretending to work can be called that.

↳ He does offhandedly warn you to be more careful because one day it's Tobirama or Tōka who's going to catch you, but you can tell he doesn't really mean it. It's not-so-secretly the highlight of his day when it happens.

↳ And yes, sometimes he does join you, even if it means he's going to have to lie when he inevitably gets asked what took him so long to grab a couple of files from the archives room. He always tries to come up with detailed excuses — when it happens to Madara, he just bluntly tells them he was busy, and his tone alone lets the other person know they better not ask for details because he's not going to give anything away.

↳ Except when that person is Tobirama. He's gonna be as bold and as honest as he can with him because he knows Tobirama cannot stop him (he has Hashirama's blessing, after all), and he gets a kick out of seeing the life get drained out of his brother-in-law every time, even if the guy tries with everything he can to appear completely unmoved and unimpressed.

↳ If Madara catches you hiding under the desk with Hashirama's dick in your mouth — which he always does because Hashirama isn't nearly as good at keeping up a straight face as he is — he's definitely going to tell you he's expecting his turn to come after. And he goes to wait for you in his own office. You've never failed to show up once.

↳ Random dick headcanon : Hashirama is bigger in terms of length, by about an inch or a little less, but Madara is girthier and definitely requires more prep to take.

but ran wouldn't mind, he may not exactly be on the same level as rindou in terms of cooking but he will do what he does best

they both stand next to each other in front of the stove, intensely focusing on stirring and mixing their dish, both wanting to impress you

as rindou expertly lowers the fire, mixes in the the seasonings and mixing it ran would repeatedly poke at his sides

rindou would threaten to hit him on the head with the laddle he was holding

then he would proceed to go beside you to watch his brother cook while draping his overly lanky form over yours

God, I’m just dying going for a good poly Max and Delacroix ending. I’ve been able to manage one or the other, but not both yet 😞 any suggestions on stats, clubs, etc?

Anonymous 1: Do you mean their plans for after graduation, like Anonymous 2 is talking about? I don't think they've got bad endings really... more that sometimes they get better grades (you can't get them both to have high grades) or make different plans.

What are Vengeful and Steady, I hear you say? They're hidden stats which I would make clearer if I was making the game today.

Delacroix can end up going to Reisinger, joining Jerome Clay's internship (both need high Vengeful), or not having solid plans.

Max can end up going to Reisinger (needs high Steady), going to the Starlings' commune (if you're both in the Starlings and have planned to live there), or not having solid plans.

Here is how you add to Max's Steady stat.

Here is how you add to Delacroix's Vengeful stat:

-Join the Children of Hecate

-Invite Delacroix to the Winter Ball and dance. Choose "You can use your family" (high Intrigue), "I don't care about your family/You don't have to be beholden to your family" (low Progressive; they won't like it), or "Recall what I've heard about the ghost" (low Wit; they won't like it)

-Take the carriage tour with Delacroix back, choose "Do you really believe in ghosts?" (low Wit; they won't like it)

-In Chapter 5, the night of the rally, choose "Look to Delacroix. They should step up"

-In Chapter 6, go on a date with Delacroix or Delacroix and Max. When they're talking about curses, "Agree enthusiastically" (high Spirit), "Help because I don't want Delacroix to regret it" (low Domineering), "It's against my principles (high Progressive; they won't like it) or "Tell them not to do it" (low Domineering; they won't like it)

-In Chapter 8, invite Delacroix or Delacroix and Max to stay during Verdancy. When Delacroix's on the phone, "Stage an emergency" (high Intrigue), or "scribble something mocking" (high Wit)

-After the phone call - kiss, hug, or perform the curse ritual

You CAN potentially all go to Reisinger together, but it's really fiddly and needs both Max to be Steady and Delacroix to be Vengeful. Again if I was making the game again, I'd make it easier!

What does it mean? Is it like a split attraction model thing? Or something else entirely? I don't blame you for being confused, exclusionists go out of their way to lie about what it is so that they can make people angry!

First off, to get the most common lie exclusionists tell out of the way:

Mspec means "multi-spectrum", aka, "attracted to more than one gender".

Mspec is an umbrella term that encompasses bi, pan, poly, omni, and any other multi-gender attraction labels!

Mspec lesbians are simply lesbians who are attracted to more than one gender!

And as exclusionists try to force everyone to forget because they're transphobes, nonbinary people are not women. If you are attracted to women and nonbinary people, you are attracted to more than one gender.

Exclusionists are transphobes, though, so they keep insisting that "being attracted to women and nonbinary people doesn't mean you're attracted to more than one gender" because they are equating nonbinary people with women, almost certainly because the hypothetical nonbinary people the exclusionists are imagining are AFAB.

It's literally just transphobia.

Anti-mspec lesbian (and note that they almost entirely focus their harassment on mspec lesbians, not mspec gays, because these people are blatantly misogynists and they know targeting lesbians in particular would be easier than going after all mspec gay people) people are equating sex with gender, and since they think there are only two sexes, that must mean there are only two genders, and to make themselves sound like good people, they say "lesbian attraction has always included nonbinary people!" while they're lumping nonbinary people in with "women".

Mspec lesbians can use the split attraction model (romantic attraction to some genders, sexual attraction to others, other forms of attraction, ect), or they may just be more attracted to some genders than others.

In the end it just means that they're a lesbian who is attracted to more than one gender. This does not inherently mean they're attracted to men, because nonbinary people exist, and there are countless nonbinary genders, but even if an mspec lesbian is attracted to men, there's literally nothing wrong with that.

Mspec people are allowed to call themselves gay, and they're allowed to call themselves lesbians. The only reason "Lesbian" is seen as such an exclusive term while gay isn't is because of literal TERFs and lesbian separatists who think men are evil and inherently dangerous.

People are repeating literal TERF rhetoric and trying to pretend that it's okay for them to do it because reasons, even as they are actively being transphobic and erasing nonbinary people.

There's also the part where the majority of people who identify as an mspec lesbian or as mspec gay are also trans, but exclusionists don't care about that, all they care about is attacking people.

Their favorite talking point is that mspec lesbians are the reason men assault lesbians, and if I have to explain why victim blaming that is literally quoting the same exact shit misogynistic men say is bad, there's just no hope. If you argue that women who are attracted to men (which, as a reminder, is literally not what mspec means) are the reason men assault women, you are a misogynist and a rape-apologist, even if you try to dress your argument up as progressive and friendly.

It's once again misogyny, and once again TERF rhetoric, since part of their whole thing is that men are inherently dangerous and predatory and women who are attracted to them get what they deserve.

Lesbian has always included mspec lesbians. You can literally find art and poems and comics and newspaper articles about mspec lesbians from history. I've relogged several, so if I find them, I'll edit the links into this post.

Oh, just found one of them, here you go. The comic is from 1999, and there are poems from the 70s that I can't find at the moment.

TLDR: Exclusionists are being transphobic, victim blaming, repeating TERF rhetoric, and erasing queer history so that they can attack people who have literally always existed and aren't hurting anyone, because they have nothing better to do with their time.
