Glenn and Jodie are level 20. What if. Henry is also level 20.
Which means I get to put a spotlight on one of my favorite angst-inducing 5e class features:
Let's say Henry got to level 20 when he was 50 years old. At the start of season 2, he's 65.
Assuming the average natural lifespan for a Californian man to be 79, Henry could go on to live for another 275 years.
275 years. That means he'll outlive his kids, his grandkids, Mercedes. It means he will see the world change in so many different ways, until it's unrecognizable from what it once was. I think Henry never would have wanted this fraction of immortality, but if there's anyone who sticks around a bit longer to take care of the world, I'm glad it is him.
FNaF AU where Evan survives the bite but has a permanent sight impairment and CPS takes all the Afton kids away and also Charlie because they found out both Henry and William are horrifically negligent and the diner gets put out of business forever and the four children are adopted into a happy loving family and are freaked out by actually being cared for at first but then start healing.
If you have not read The Stranding (and by extension, The Rescue) by the darling @belethlegwen you are deeply missing out! The sheer amount of content is truly a blessing, and considering its still being updated?? ASDFJHSLK
Belle is an incredible story teller, and this shines through in her writing so well I feel like I'm getting flashbanged by talent.
You know that typical writing advice about not introducing too many characters, especially early on as it divides the reader's attention?? BELLE STOMPS ON THAT.
AND
IT
WORKS
I genuinely can't get over how much I am in love with her characters. I must admit- I am the typical reader with one too many bonks to the head that can't seem to focus on/ remember/ care about more than 3-5 characters- that is not the case here.
Every character she introduces has my interest piqued- each one feeling alive and at home in their setting. And its not just likeable in the sense of "oh I'd be friends with them" (and she absolutely has many characters I'd love to be friends with)- its these raw and real characterizations that make you like them as a character.
They have their own mystery to them too- even if its not direct. Her characters make you wonder more about their past and why they act the way they do. They can be frustrating, immature, stubborn, even cruel- but they feel so deeply real.
Both written works from Sizeable Ship Wrecks are among my favorite things I've read- both inside and outside of the G/t sphere to the point I feel as though I could shamelessly recommend this to someone outside of the G/t community and be confident they would enjoy it.
in my opinion ouat would’ve been much funnier if anytime there was some fairytale land bullshit happening emma looked into the camera. but only she could see the camera.
who do you think between the adults grieved Christopher the hardes? I think Henry as he was very close to him, and Kit saw him as a father figure. From women I guess his mother, but probably also Charlotte as he was always there, maybe she even names one of the twins Christine
~
i fully agree!! aside from his parents obv, henry and charlotte would definitely be amongst those who grieved for christopher the hardest out of the adults ;; and i would personally throw in gideon and sophie too out. not only were their kids close to each other growing up, but the adults would be too. and i remember reading somewhere that after the boys were expelled from the academy (and then when thomas decided not to go back), it was sophie and henry who taught them privately, so i imagine sophie got even closer with christopher than she already was in that scenario :')
also charlotte calling one of the twins christine is so sweet ohhh... matthew would cry if she did </3
Headcanon little idea for Henry bc I'm trying to work it into a drawing but he like. Grows flowers unconsciously when acting with love and affection. Like it's how people express joy and love and safety in nonverbal ways but he doesn't know he does it until he has petals in his hair and leaves on his face
He gives Mercedes a kiss and when he pulls away she's framed by like flowers and ivy and vines so she looks like a nature goddess and he dies every time bc she's look SOOOOOOO good like that and he gets reflustered.
Hugging his boys and carrying them around and they get showered with daisies and dandelions.
Sleeping comfortably on another dad's shoulder and he wakes up with roots and branches crawling up their arms. Like do you see the vision.
This beautiful human being has been my comfort person for god knows how long. Meeting him again has healed me. A part of me that I didn’t think could ever be healed. He is the most purest human being ever and was so patient and tender with me today. 🫶🏻
