Did William actually… expect Michael to get anything done in the SL bunker or did he just program HU to try and kill him. Because unless he knew CB’s plan ahead of time it would require some 4-D chess and understanding of how CB thought for all that to work out. And I don’t exactly think William had amazing interpersonal skills.

So either William programmed CB to do that (but due to Elizabeth’s spirit it would only work if she thought Michael was William) or William didn’t have a clue what would happen and just programmed HandUnit to give incorrect instructions because he wanted Michael out of the way. Something I’ll have to think about some more.

Circus Baby had nothing to lose and Scrap Baby lost everything. Used to not care for the personality change but the more I think about it the more it makes sense and the more I like the shade of complexity it adds

Circus Baby hated William because he left her down in a basement to rot, and only sent other people down to scoop out her guts and/or to shock her.

Scrapbaby was desperate for William’s approval because she’d been abandoned by those she worked to save, and had absolutely no one anymore. Not to mention the only part of Elizabeth that remained was the desperate need for someone to care, at least a little bit, about her and the only option left was William. Because her only other ‘living’ family member saw her as a disgusting soulless monster. Not the she ever had the best relationship with her brother anyway.

Also, Pizzeria Sim was a trap for Michael too, because Henry wanted to scrub the name Afton from the face of the earth, with the exception of worn graves, but anyway.
