AFK Arena - Forbidden Family Odyssey AU !
Premise:
The Invasion upon Gavus and Eugene's family home proved... semi-successful. Eugene had been captured, and Liberta was acquired quickly by the Goddess, Morgana, but Gavus managed to escape with Lucilla. 10 years later, imprisoned, Eugene catches wind of a suspicious lack of guards. Using his wits, and some of his power, Eugene broke out and began his run for home.
Unluckily... He runs right into a Commander Dawn and the kid's Adventurer companion, and that's only the START of his bad luck on this journey. Let's hope that this journey home doesn't take a ridiculously long time! (It does.) (Horrendously so.)
--
So !!! AU time !!!
Eugene (and somewhat Liberta) - Odysseus's role
Gavus - Penelope
Lucilla - Telemachus
The idea is that Eugene and Liberta were both taken when Conrad and Morgana made an... oh-so "civil" visit to the family home. Liberta, who has no memories unsealed because he never fought Lucilla, is taking the company of soldiers back home with the Adventurer he befriended when they run into Eugene. After a brief fight, Liberta and the Adventurer put 2 and 2 together and realize this is the same Eugene from the diary, and they propose to help him get home (much to the issue of .... literally every soldier there but that comes up later<3)
Essentially, this AU will focus on four-ish storylines... sort of?:
Eugene's story on getting home, his journey back to his family and all the perils it will have.
Liberta's story on finding out who he is, because Lucilla never fought Liberta, undoing the seal is taking a long ass time. He will be named "Commander Dawn" until a certain point in this AU
Gavus's story on protecting Lucilla, since the Hypogeans didn't really stop after they didn't get their Weapon.
Lucilla's story on finding out where her brother and father are, since she wants to see her papa happy again, and he's always looking mournfully at a red diary.
Will I make a fanfic ??? Possibly !!! It's sitting in my mind a lot and I have a bit of the story figured out, but I also might just leave this as a Tumblr-only AU where I just occasionally post content for it instead depending on where my whims take me.
Now, there is a whole lot more planned out for this AU [just not... indetail bUT I HAVE BARE BONES] so if you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer!
take this concept eugene art as compensation for ur time
Tumblr media
thank you!

I would love to see a continuation of those bihan fics you have but after he's gotten his son. Like how would he act afterwards?
(pregnancy talk, bihan lowkey/highkey has mommy and daddy issues)
bihan loves you, in his own way.
i can see him having a "marriage" (for lack of a better term), essentially letting everyone know publicly and officially who you belong to. if you bother him enough, he'd probably give you a wedding—though small, most likely only having the people he trusted (like cyrax and sektor) and maybe some of the people you'd request like family or close close friends. you'd really have to convince him, though…
he'd definitely start kissing you more. he loves the feeling of your lips on his; finds himself seeking the warmth of your lips and body on his more than he'd like to admit. bihan would definitely be opening up to you (physically), allowing you to cling to him in private or acquiescing to your pleads to be in the room with him while he's doing paperwork or foreseeing future battles with his second in commands.
bi-han would be wanting to see you often, going as far as making you sleep in his quarters instead of your own. you're barely halfway through your pregnancy by the time he's ordered you to stay with him in bed. at first, i don't think he'd been to receptive to any cuddling. but if you complain enough, he'll give in.
he's protective; the grandmaster of the lin kuei does have many enemies after all. (really, they'd never be able to breach the temple of the lin kuei. he uses it as an excuse to be with you constantly and oversee you during pregnancy. he doesn't want to lose you like he'd lost his mother or his brother.)
when it comes to the labor + aftermath… he doesn't really leave your side, ever. he's there when you give birth. he insists on being the one to cut the umbilical cord (with a blade made of ice). in the meantime, all of his responsibilities are passed down to sektor and cyrax, leaving him with more than enough time to nag you about the way you handle his son. he's often telling you how to do what since he "cared for kuai liang while he was a child", which means he knows more than you. (he doesn't)
surprisingly enough… he's "sweet" with his son, especially as he gets older. i think bihan's father wasn't the best to him (which i believe is why he let him die and acted the way he did in mk1). knowing how it feels to be treated less than favorably by his father, he would never repeat the cycle onto his own child. this doesn't mean he'll allow his son to be soft, though. expect your son to go through a LOT of training in the future to be a formidable grandmaster himself.
your relationship with him definitely undergoes many changes, too. you used to consider him much higher than you, but as the years go on, you start to see him as more of an equal. he does the same, considering you his equal way earlier than you him. you're not allowed to call him grandmaster anymore, only "husband" or "bihan" (he will still pull the obey your grandmaster card on you to get what he wants, though)
and yes, bihan wants another son too. he wants his first son to have a brother as soon as possible (which strangely parallels his own life… he'd never admit it to anyone but you, but he finds himself missing his little brother at times.)
you're expected to be a good mother as well. he expects you to be like his mother—who he thinks did a great job at raising him. you'll have to be tough and no nonsense, and willing to discipline your children to teach them lessons at a young age. he'll definitely get on your ass if he finds you coddling his son far too much and making him "weak". if you have a daughter though… imagine his protectiveness times one trillion. seriously. she'll probably be just as spoiled as you are. and yes, you are spoiled. the members of the lin kuei basically treat you as an extension of bihan. and he always makes sure you get what you want.
he was comfortable having just you to defend and protect, knowing that his sons also could protect you… but with a daughter thrown in the mix, expect the both of you to never be let out of his sight. he would be soooo annoying about it!! god forbid he has to go somewhere without you—you're stuck listening to sektor ramble on and on about whatever silly scientific experiments while he babysits you and her.
you'd probably catch him more than a few times being uncharacteristically sweet to your daughter—especially if she resembles you or resembles his mother. he'd definitely soften up with her (not in front of anyone but your family, however.)
still, bihan is a cold man. literally and figuratively. don't expect him to talk much about his family life or his feelings. he does demand to know everything about yours, though...

MSBY: LOST and FOUND
Tumblr media
Warnings: children, lost children, screaming, kinda angst not really, very fluff. Let me know if there are more!
MSBY x FEM!reader
ADLERS ver.
leave a comment or a reblog, they are always very appreciated 💕
Tumblr media
Hinata:
Haruto: Age 5
Hinata is a tad absentminded. Don't get me wrong, he is a hawk on and off the court, but he can get a bit distracted at times.
He gets so excited when focusing on something he loses sight of his surroundings.
Today had been a great day to go to the park. It was sunny but not too hot and a bit breezy too.
Hinata had gotten out of practice a little earlier because the gym was going through some repairs.
After picking up Haruto from his babysitter, he decided that it would be a great idea to play some soccer at the park.
They played for about half an hour before taking a water break. Hinata had gotten distracted by a text in the MSBY group chat.
In the short amount of time, Haruto had managed to wander away.
Now Hinata has a little sister, and I'm sure he must have lost her at some point, so he has some experience.
He is the calmest of all of them because he knows what to do. It's the same thing he used to do with Natsu.
Go to the top of the jungle gym and look for a bit of family face and a mop of fluffy orange hair.
And low and behold, little Haruto was standing in front of an ice cream cart looking around for him.
He hurried down to him and bought three ice creams. 1 for Papa. 1 for Haruto, And one more for Haruto so he doesn't tell Mommy.
Tumblr media
Bokuto:
Nanami: Age 8
I love Bo, but don't get me wrong, but thinking about this makes my blood pressure spike.
Like so much yelling, precious eardrums were lost that day.
Bokuto had the day off, so what better way to spend it than to take his little princess on a toy run to the mall.
The plan was to get her some stuff she wanted, get some nerf blasters for a scheduled battle at sunset, and hit the food court before leaving.
The trip goes as planned. They ended up buying a whole kitchen set and a small car to be delivered later. He likes to spoil his little girl. Bokuto walked out of the store carrying a bag with two Nerf guns and another bag with random toys she picked out.
He swears he only looked away for a second to look at the menu, but by the time she turned to ask Nanami what she wanted, he was gone.
This man panics, asking every person he sees if they've seen "the cutest little girl ever."
He ends up back at the front of the toy store, visibly sweating and beyond stressed.
Then a voice comes on the intercom, "Bokuto Koutaro. Please report to the security office." You see, unlike your husband, your daughter had a calm and collected mind. When she couldn't find her Dad, she remembered what you said and went to ask someone to make an announcement on the intercom.
Manz runs as fast as he can. I mean, that's his little girl. It has to be
After almost suffocating Nanami in hugs and kisses, they finally get food and go home.
By the time you got back, the living was a mess with Nerf darts, pillows, and sofa cushions everywhere.
In your daughter's excitement to tell you how responsible she was today, she didn't see that glare you shot her Dad.
Bo looked like a kicked puppy.
Yeah, he slept on the couch that night, but not alone. Nanami felt terrible for getting her Dad in trouble, so she cuddled up with him and fell asleep.
Tumblr media
Atsumu:
Hideki: Age 6
Mei: Age 11 months
Atsumu is extra at the best of times, and I can't imagine what he would be like his he lost a whole ass person.
Today was a beach day; the season had finally ended, and what better to celebrate than to rent a beach house for a week?
You had decided to stay back because it was too hot that day, and you didn't want to let the baby outside.
Atsumu was actually really happy about this because he hadn't spent much time with his son with practice, and the baby took up most of his time and attention.
This was going to be the best Father-son ever!
They were going to play volleyball for a bit, build a sandcastle, and stop by the store to get some meat for a barbeque before going to the house.
As expected, Hideki had inherited his father's volleyball skills, and those lessons he had been going to were definitely not going to waste.
Atsumu teared up at the thought of his son wearing his jersey one day.
Going on to the sandcastles, Atsumu had left for just a second to fill a bucket up with water, but when he got back, Hideki was gone.
There weren't many people on the beach, and he was still nowhere to be seen.
When I say this man screamed, I mean her screamed bloody murder; you heard it from the house.
He was thinking frantically about where he might have gone. He ended up running half of the beach and had called the police to report him missing.
Now, just like Nanami, Hideki had a much cooler head than his father, but he could be a little absent-minded.
He had wandered off because he saw something shiny near the cove where they were building their sandcastle.
After catching breath, Atsumu tried looking around the tide pool again.
Before, when he yelled, Hideki was too engrossed in a small shark he found in one of the tidepools to notice. By this time, the shark had gone away.
And there was his baby boy squatting down, hugging his knees on a rock while looking into the water.
When Tsumu screamed his name, he almost fell in LOL.
Anyway, queue all the kisses and hugs, the man almost suffocated him.
Then Hideki held up a handful of shiny shells that he picked up to show you and Mei so you wouldn't feel sad because you couldn't come.
Afterward, they picked up some meat and ingredients for side dishes at the store and went home.
But your time together was interrupted by a police officer dropping by to follow up on a missing child report.
Tsumu slept on the couch that night after profusely apologizing to the officer.
Tumblr media
Sakusa:
Eichi: Age 4
Ayumi: Age 7
Unfortunately, you were called into work at the last minute and had no way of getting a babysitter in time, which meant the kids would have to spend the day with their Dad at practice.
Eichi and Ayumi took after their Dad in the aspect that they were really good at sticking to a routine. They finished the morning rituals and headed out the door at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
Even with two kids, he is a little clueless about being a dad. Don't get me wrong; he loves them tho.
Anyway, when they get to the gym, he sits them down on the bench near the couches; every water break, he checks in to see if they are okay, makes sure that they eat their snacks and lunches, and makes sure that they stay hydrated.
It was halfway through practice, and there were fewer breaks; the kiddos started to get bored, as kiddos do. They wandered outside for a bit to see if they could find anything to play with.
Ayumi ended up finding some rocks and sticks and convinced her brother to play make-believe as witches.
And somehow, nobody noticed two little children wander off.
When Sakusa looked over to see that they were gone, everyone was wrapping up to go home, and he freaked out.
Everyone was kind of taken aback by him suddenly screaming their names, but the rest of the team noticed they were gone, too.
Atsumu and Hinata managed to calm him down and offered to look for them.
After about 20 minutes of unsuccessfully looking around the gym and calling their names, sakusa couldn't have been more stressed.
He stood at the gym entrance, ready to cry, until he remembered hearing Eichi and Ayumi yell about rocks.
He remembered that there was a little garden with a bunch of pretty rocks; he rushes there and finds his two precious babies sleeping under one of the trees, cuddled up under his MSBY jacket.
He carried Eichi while Bokuto helped bring Ayumi. They didn't wake up until you got home, and they just excitedly told you how much fun they had at practice with their Dad and if they could go again.
The kids never even realized they were lost, and Sakusa never mentioned it to you. It could be his little secret.

i have a request!!! you should write a daughter of apollo x leo valdez fic but based on espresso by sabrina carpenter (idk i feel like that song gives children of apollo vibes!) it'd be leo obsessed with the apollo girl (like him being absolutely obsessed with her, having the biggest crush on her possible, he constantly thinks about her, him being an absolute loser bf) and finally getting the courage to ask her out on a date or something like that.
“she’s like a shot of espresso…”
leo valdez x duaghter of apollo!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings: use of yn! english isn’t my first language so it might be some errors!!
thank you so much for your request, it made me so happy!! idk if what i wrote it’s exactly what you want but i hope you like it 🤕 this is my first timing writing a real fic and I think it really shows lol, but i promise I’ll try to improve in the next one, I’m so sorry if it’s that bad, and this is really short too? omg im really bad at this lol, but anyways, ly anon tell me your opinions (honestly) abt this later, kisses to uuu!! 🫶💗 (btw anon, please request other things I feel like I didn’t did you justice with this one)
words: 850
“is it that sweet? I guess so…..”
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ - ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Leo was sure he was going crazy.
He always had a pretty big amount of silly crushes on girls, but with you? It was getting way too serious. Of course, you're beautiful, incredibly kind, and too generous for your own good, and you treated him well, but that isn't enough reason to make him lose sleep; at least that's what he thought.
And he was extremely wrong. Being in your presence was the equivalent of being bathed in the sunlight, and gods, he felt like a prisoner who hadn't seen the sun in years.
He's completely obsessed with you; he just needs the courage to verbalize that, but being honest, Leo felt like a coward at the moment.
While being lost in his thoughts (the thoughts being the pretty daughter of Apollo that never leaves his mind), the boy finally falls asleep.
Leo doesn't mind waking up if that means spending the day with the people he loves, so after getting ready for the day, he searches for you.
And he found you, talking with a much younger camper, helping him. You're smiling like it's the best day of your life, and Leo could swear that you're almost glowing.
The boy makes its way to you the same moment you finish talking to the kid, now having your full attention on Hephaestus' son.
"Leo! Good morning!" Your voice to him had the same effect as listening to his favorite music, it made him happy in ways he couldn't explain, even if his life depended on it.
"Yn! Good morning!" He mimics you, not in a bad way, just a teasing one. You roll your eyes in fake annoyance.
"Sooo, did you sleep well, Valdez?" You ask, seeming really interested in the answer, but he knows that you're like that for everything, being extremely kind.
"Not really, would be better if I dreamed about you," you laugh amusingly.
"You say that every day, y'know?"
"I know, I say because it's true. " You can't help but blush a little. You're used to Leo flirting with you, but it never gets past that, so you just learned to joke back.
"Hilarious, Valdez... fortunately, I slept very well today, and I'm more excited than normal! I think it's because it's so sunny today, that's awesome, was thinking about going to the lake later. I can't waste such a pretty day like this one painting inside my cabin..."
"Unfortunately, I'll be in the bunker today, I have lots of things to do."
"What? No! You're coming with me, you can't waste this wonderful day either!" You grab his hands, walking toward the lake.
Leo could swear he would pass out at that moment. He couldn't even think about denying your offer, he would prefer dying to doing that.
After a few seconds, you guys get to the lake.
"Look how pretty it is! You have to go swimming with me, it’s a need.”
"Look, sunshine, water and fire don't get along so well, so I might skip that one" he says, apologetic. You frown, thinking.
"We don't need to go swimming, we can just talk, i really don't care." You smile lovingly at him.
"I don't want to ruin your day! There are many people that can go with you, you'll find someone better to do that." He's so oblivious that it's getting concerning.
"I want to spend time with you, Valdez. I don't mind if it's swimming or just talking, I want to, you know..be with you."
"Oh." He's acting like a loser, he can't think straight anymore and is blushing like crazy, but who cares?
"Oh?" You tease him, smiling.
"Yeah, we can. Just talk, I'm happy with that. " His smile was so genuine that made your heart melt.
That's when you realize you're still holding his hand, and you don't want to change that. You can feel he notices too.
Something just snapped in his head, now it’s the time, now or never, right?
"Yn? Can I tell you something?" He says it in a quiet tone, and you just nod.
"When I'm around you, it's like constantly drinking a shot of espresso, it's like being bathed in sunlight, you're incredibly energetic and enthusiastic, and i just can't get enough of you, you're my sunrise and daylight....all I'm saying is, gods, I very much love you more than just friends" You're surprised, really surprised, so surprised that you can't even speak for a moment, which just makes Leo even more nervous.
"Please say something...like, anything, a no it's better than silence because it’s less-“ Before he yaps again, you interrupt him:
"I like you too." The boy almost squeals of pure excitement.
"Seriously? Oh gods, oh gods. What?" He's so happy, it's so sincere, so soft, it's amazing, you can feel your heart beating so fast, and you don't even care; seeing him like this because of you is the best feeling you ever felt.
Then you see that one look, meant just for you, it's like time has frozen, and you're both thinking the same thing. Then, like all the stars aligned, you kissed him

Everyone (besides the Braedens) is so annoying about Dean in 6.01. In a way, he's almost treated like some sort of exotic animal by other hunters—"the hunter who got out" is considered an impossibility in the hunting world—both from a moral perspective, and from a trauma perspective.
Bobby keeps repeating "You were out" when Dean gets mad at him and Sam for keeping Sam's resurrection a secret, and while there is obviously a loving angle in Bobby wanting Dean (someone he views as a son) to live a long life, the secret is so unapologetically cruel in the face of Dean's grief that Bobby's actions also suggest more personal motivations. This, along with Dean's demand "Good for who?" when Bobby insists he made the good choice, almost lends itself to the idea that this wasn't just about Dean. It was about something Dean symbolized for Bobby. Dean was living proof that hunters could get out, and have families, and live long lives, and this probably soothes something in Bobby as someone who lost his wife tragically right after an emotional betrayal. In "Death's Door", Bobby is implied to have had a vasectomy he never told Karen about. He was the child who ruined everything he touched according to his abusive father, and decided never to have children because of it. Bobby still grieves losing Karen, and he grieves what could have been if he hadn't let his dad get in his head. Like Bobby, Dean is also a person accused of having a corrupting touch, and Bobby is very aware of Dean's self-worth issues (2.22) and I think sees a lot of his own emotional hangups in Dean. So I think it's possible that for Bobby, seeing Dean get to be happy is something Bobby needs... for himself in a sense? While being something he wants for someone he loves, it also just... soothes something inside him, symbolically and personally.
Other characters don't react so positively to Dean as a symbol representing hunters being able to get out and overcome the tragedies that generally bring them into the life to begin with. The Campbells immediately look down on Dean for not being a hunter anymore, treating him as a greenhorn, suggesting he was never meant for the work they do (his features are too "delicate"), poking around his house like it's a zoo exhibit. Sam also joins in, mocking Dean for having golf clubs.
Samuel feigns sympathy, saying he "gets it" because Mary wanted out of the life too, but it's just a little carefully placed pathos before he launches into giving Dean the same speech Mary was likely subjected to repeatedly, telling Dean they need all hands on deck, that he has a responsibility but would rather "play golf" (which is really what shows most that Samuel has zero understanding of why Dean or his own daughter wanted normal lives).
Sam also completely switches up on Dean by the end of the episode, going from justifying keeping his resurrection a secret because Dean was happy, to saying that Dean can't be normal and should return to hunting because he's putting Lisa and Ben in danger by being with them. Of course, soulless Sam flip flops because he doesn't actually care about whether or not Dean is happy. He was going through the motions of wanting Dean to be happy because he thought it was what he should want based on his memories, and he didn't have any emotional need for his brother and therefore no reason to bother him or care that he was grieving someone who was alive. But the moment he saw Dean display the heart of a hero, rushing to try and save his neighbors when all hope was lost, he saw something that he thought would be useful—someone with a heart who might make the "rules" of how to conduct himself more clear. Dean then seemed like a useful asset.

A little about the “difficult” green childhood
I'm tired of reading posts that say that Aegon and Aemond became terrible people because they had "rough childhoods." What kind of nonsense is this?
Yes, Viserys did not love his sons very much, but he was not a monster. He did not insult or beat his sons. These boys are part of the ruling dynasty, they lived in luxury and comfort, had a good education, they got everything they wanted (except for the title of heir), they were forgiven almost everything, they had a mother next to them who loved them. How many boys in Westeros have this?
Aegon has nothing to complain about at all. The boy was a spoiled hedonist who got everything he wanted. His wife was his sister, the Targaryen princess and dragon rider, whom he knew well and he did not have to leave his home (Daemon, who at the age of sixteen was forced to leave the home in which he grew up and live with a strange woman, was not so lucky). And even if Aegon was not satisfied with Helaena as a wife, then since he was born a man, the prince could afford promiscuity with any woman he wanted. And it doesn't seem like anyone at court would be bothered by this. Re-read the book. All of Aegon's problems began from the moment he usurped his sister's throne.
The only thing Aemond could complain about was the loss of his eye. After all, even if Viserys had made Aegon his heir, Aemond would still not be very high in the line of succession, since Aegon had two sons by the age of twenty, and in the future there could be even more. As for losing an eye, yes, it's bad. But still, many things happen in life. I mean, in real life, injuries happen during children's games or fights.
At the same time, Rhaenyra lost her mother when she was a child, and after some time she was replaced by an embittered and full of hatred and envy woman, because of which she had to leave the house in which she grew up, and after her own father forbade her to leave Dragonstone, to protect the “beloved” daughter and wife from new conflicts.
I've written before about what I think of Viserys as a father and my opinion hasn't changed. Viserys's love brought Rhaenyra more harm than good. Viserys was a terrible father to all of his children, but at least his children from his second marriage had a mother. No matter how much I hated Alicent, she was there for her children and loved them in her own way. Rhaenyra has been alone since she was a child.
Rhaenyra was also forced to marry against her will to a man who would never love her as a woman. And when she allowed herself a relationship with someone else, she was certainly condemned and humiliated.
Every time I see posts about the "difficult childhood" of Alicent's children, I want to laugh. Rhaenyra grew up without a mother, her stepmother was an evil witch, and her father was a useless idiot. But of course, according to the greens, Rhaenyra was born evil in the flesh and her suffering does not matter and she deserves it.

Raise wa Kimi no Mono - Kamikou Chizu (8.5/10)
Tumblr media
Being loved by a God is just like being hated by a God. Being a God is a curse. The curse of knowledge and the desires of the living. Here we follow a girl with an unfulfilling life. Her soul belongs to someone The Curse God is deeply obsessed with.
Saya is a boring girl. She's cute. She's got good grades. She's gloomy. Her mother likes her stepbrother more than her. Her mother remarried. She prioritizes her new husband and son way more than her blood-related daughter.
Tumblr media
Saya has the same dream often. She dreams of a shadowy figure touching her, and holding her hand. It's scary but when she wakes up she always feels...relaxed???
Tumblr media
Hiro is a good boy. A talented ballet dancer. His grades are high and he's popular and handsome and his stepmother spoils him. He's kind to his gloomy sister Saya, and he genuinely cares for her. He gets hit by a truck. His legs may never work right again.
Tumblr media
Saya is abused by her neglectful mother in a thousand different ways, but there's a tipping point. Saya's mom starts screaming and crying about Hiro's lost career in dance. She says she wishes her own daughter got injured instead...Because it's not like she does any competitive sports anyway. The worst part is her mom means it. Saya's mother doesn't hate her. She's indifferent, and she doesn't care about her feelings.
That's worse.
Tumblr media
A nameless God introduces himself. He claims Saya promised her soul to him in another life. He says he will grant her wishes until she dies of natural causes, but then it's over. She has to live in an endless void, where he will watch her forever.
Tumblr media
Saya makes the God heal her brothers leg. She resents him. She wishes her mother loved her, but she wants Hiro to get better.
God does it, but it's the wrong choice. Hiro was destined to leave sports behind and become an intellectual figure of some sort.
He loses that future because of her wish.
Tumblr media
Also that one wish kills her.
It was an expensive wish.
She wakes up in the void, and she flips out.
The God agrees to bring her back to life.
But.
She now serves him, and if she stays apart from him for too long she'll die for good.
Together forever.
How sweet.
(The God totally planned this)
Tumblr media
He establishes that he is completely in control in one chapter.
Tumblr media
He shares some of his power with her to bind her to him. She accidentally sees his old name.
Kotomichi.
He used to feel the weight of his sins, before he became a Curse God.
Tumblr media
He wants to watch every horrible part of her life up close. He wants to torment her with moral questions. He wants to use the "wishes" to test her again and again.
He wants to confirm, over and over, that she is the soul he loves the most.

HC: If he were to be a parent - Chevalier, pt.2
Continuation of HC: If he were to be a parent - Chevalier. Because I've developed some sort of Family AU by now, and I want to share it :)
Sponsored by the idea I had that would work best as a comic strip, but alas, I do not have the ability to make that. Extra fluffy bit below the cut, I just needed to lay ground for it first.
There may be more in the future.
Content Warnings: all things parenthood and pregnancy related
Chevalier
>>Children
Chevalier has two children, a son (eldest) and a daughter (youngest).
It isn't that they didn't want more children. However, the second pregnancy was harsher on his wife than the first one, and the delivery itself was complicated. In the end, Chevalier doesn't want to risk losing both his wife and a child, so they decided to stop at two.
The boy is named Arthur. Yes, after King Arthur. It is hard having book nerd parents. Appearance-wise, he took after his father, but he has his mother's warm eyes. However, unlike Chevalier, he isn't a prodigy child -- he is bright, and he tries his hardest, but even so, he feels that he can't measure up to his sister.
Arthur tends to be unaware of his own strengths, though. He's social, considerate of others, has some innate charisma, and most importantly: knows how to work well with others. He's fairly similar to Leon in many ways.
The girl is year and a half younger than her brother. Her name is Rosalie, and... It should suffice to say she's almost as if little Chevalier was born a girl. She excels in academics, and asked to be trained with a sword too. However, unlike little Chevalier, she has parents who care about her, so although not fluent in emotions, she isn't completely lost either. However, even so, she doesn't understand why her brother feels this way about her. Even if she was born a boy, she wouldn't want to become a king. It'd be too boring.
Clavis is her favourite uncle.
>>Morning Routine
For one thing, Chevalier gets continuously harder to wake up in the morning as they grow. First, because baby Arthur needed for somebody to take care of him. Then, because his wife was pregnant again, and Arthur was still very little. Then, because they had one toddler, and one newborn. And then, because they didn't have another child for long enough for foreign forces to realise that Arthur is the only heir to the crown that will probably be there. And Chevalier does not want for his child to be hurt, so he stays vigilant.
At this point, the Queen just lets him sleep in. She's been with him for years, she knows why he's sleeping poorly.
That being said, she also has some plans. Arthur is five at this point, Rosalie is three (and a half). First, the Queen sends Rosalie to wake Chevalier up. When that doesn't work, she asks Arthur to go and try as well.
Roughly what happens is:
Rosalie: Papa? Papa, wake up! *pulls at Chevalier's arm*
Chevalier: *opens one eye to identify who dares to wake him up*
Chevalier: *sees that it's just his daughter*
Chevalier: Five more minutes. <- an attempt at being responsible about setting an example
Rosalie: You always say that, papa. Wake up!
Chevalier: *inaudible mumbling*
Rosalie: Papa?
Chevalier: *pulls her onto the bed to cuddle with her*
Rosalie is not a morning person either, although for no particular reason. She's content to have achieved her goal, and falls asleep.
~ 20 minutes later ~
Arthur: Papa, wakee uuup!
Chevalier: *no reply*
Arthur: Come on, papa! Mom's making breakfast!
Chevalier: *the same manoeuvre as previously, this time with Arthur*
In the end, Chevalier gets between hour and an hour and a half of extra sleep each morning. His wife is the last one to come to wake him up (or well, them all up).
Her approach is very strategic. Not only is her husband (generally) unable to move freely at this point, and thus cannot pull her onto the bed. She also gets to watch Chevalier asleep, with their children cuddled into his sides. Even though he's not aware of this, he always pulls them closer as soon as he hears steps anywhere nearby.
(All that being said, the protocol of open-one-eye -> identify-the-intruder -> if:family;then:pull-in-for-cuddles is still attempted each time. Sometimes just to the laughter of his wife, though).

People:
"Weasley Potter Family"
Tumblr media
Me:
"La Rue Jackson Family"
Tumblr media
12 years after the last battle:
The scene opens with a sunny day, showing the ocean, the city and cars moving. Then, it focus on a specific blue car travelling trought the places. Inside were four people: A woman driving, a man at the passenger seat, a little girl at the back of the passenger seat and another girl looking at the window.
youtube
- Life is a Higway ... - The woman starts singing while the man stares at her. He changes the music and starts singing and moving a little bit on his seat along with the song. Everyone looks at him.
youtube
The woman changes the song back to the one she was listening. The man, frustated, changes the music back. They both start a fight by changing the song many times. The oldest girl loses her patience and says:
- Stop! Both of you! You guys are acting like kids!
- Sorry! - The man and woman say at the same time
--Uhh ... Clarisse, if you want, you can change back to your music - The man says
- No, we can listen to yours - Clarisse says
- But, I insist - The man says
- No, I insist, Percy! - Clarisse says. She and Percy start fighting about music again. The oldest girl can't stand it anymore.
- Enough, both of you! Just choose a song that everyone will like - The girl says. Clarisse and Percy only look at each other and do nothing. So, the oldest girl comes between them and changes the song, again. It starts playing "Burning Love" by Elvis Presley.
- Happy now, guys? - she asks while coming back to her seat, behind Clarisse.
- Yes! And sorry for the fight, Selena! Sometimes we can't handle it - Percy says while Clarisse only rolls her eyes.
- It's okay! We all know how much you guys fight over everything, literally - Selena says
- So, uhh...Clarisse? - Percy asks while turning to look at Clarisse
- What? - Clarisse asks
- Do you think your father will be there? - Percy asks
- I really doubt it! He never visits my mother. But, don't worry, we are just staying at my mother's house for the weekend to celebrate Chloe's birthday - Clarisse says
- It's easy to say when everyone in your family likes you ... - Percy mumbles
- Oh, don't be like that, Jackson! They like you! They just show it in a different way. It doesn't mean that they hate you. My family was never one to show many emotions. We just show it by the only way we can. But, don't worry, if someone gives you any trouble, you can tell me and I'm gonna kick the mothetfuck...I mean...the stupid's ass.
- Thanks, Clarisse! - Percy says while smiling at her.
- Don't get too happy, Sea Man! Because if you give trouble to my family, I'm gonna kick your ass - Clarisse says
- As if you could - Percy says while laughing
- Do you wanna bet? - Clarisse tries to challenge Percy with a big smile on her face.
- Bet? Are you sure, Clarisse? From I remember, you always lost to me - Percy says
- Lost to you?! Sure, if you are a Poseidon's son and has water powers to attack someone that doesn't have any powers, you win easily... - Clarisse says sarcastically
- Come on! Don't be like that, Clari! I won our duels even without powers. I only used when it was really necessary like the first time we met. You bullied me. I just defended myself - Percy says
- I'm sorry.....I was very immature at that time....and a little jealous of you.... - Clarisse starts saying
- A little?! - Percy jokes and Clarisse punches him in the shoulder
- Okay! Fine! I was very jealous of you, alright?......I knew that you could be the chosen one......I didn't want to admit it.....I always felt excluded from the rest of the camp....you, Annabeth, Luke, Thalia....you guys were always the best....the heroes....and me....I was just Clarisse...daughter of Ares....defensor of traitors....I wanted to have what you guys had....adoration and fame...but people hated and feared me....so, not to show any weakness....I let my temper and arrogance take control over me....I didn't want to look weak for my father....another thing I felt envious about you Percy Jackson....is that....your father cared about you...and still helped you and talked to you when he could.....not every camper's father did that.......mine didn't.....when he appeared....he just put more pression on me....just like the rest did....Chiron....the campers....my cabin...I rarely spent time with my family....I was always on Camp....to help the other campers....be a leader for them....my only attention had to be on them.....and I couldn't use a phone to contact my mother....and I couldn't afford many dracmas....I was just....a lonely girl that had to look strong for others.... - Clarisse says while everyone was looking sad at her
- I'm sorry, Clarisse! I didn't know you felt that way...when we first met, I hated you for being a brute girl who bullied people, but then.....you matured a lot since the monster's sea. I saw a side of you that few had the chance...just a vunerable girl...and I like it. About your dad...you know what I already think about him....If can't appreciate an awesome daughter like you, he is a jerk as his father Ze...- Percy starts saying
- Percy! - Clarisse interrupts Percy while pointing with her eyes to the girls behind them
- Alright...sorry! But it's the thruth, Clarisse! You are more than just an Ares' daughter. I saw the way you treated Chris, Silena and other campers when nobody was looking....you took care of them as a great leader would....even though Silena and Chris had betrayed the camp, you still wanted to give them a second chance. If it makes you feel better, people only adored me because of my powers....you were the only person, as ironically it may sounds, that saw me as a normal person...not as a seaweed brain or a big hero. Even though sometimes you too put some pression on me to be the hero...I understand why you did that...if people couldn't see your potential to be a leader, somebody had to...you and me were the people who most had pression from the camp. If we had had a great first meeting, we could have been a great duo at the camp. You weren't just Clarisse, af least for me.....you are the great dragon killer...you are a great mother to our daughters, an incredible person and a loyal friend....if you think hard, you would notice that we have many things similar to each other.....what I'm saying is....just be yourself and don't let other things put you down, okay? - Percy asks
- Okay! Thanks, Percy! - Clarisse says with a small smile
- We love you mother! - Melissa and Chloe say at the same time and both hug their mother!
- And I love you three! - Clarisse says while smiling at her daughter before looking at Percy. She noticed he seemed uncomfortable after she said the word "love". Her smile disappears and she starts thinking that maybe he still isn't ready to say the word to her.
"What if I'm just a substitute for Annabeth? What if he just wanted to marry me because of our daughters?"- Clarisse asks herself

- Paradise is free of pain and sorrow. Everything we've ever done is forgotten there. Any pain that we've ever felt is erased. And all the dead live.
I find it curious how the belief in paradise affects some of the characters, so I want to make a little speculation about how I think it might have worked. Franziska, Magnus and Agnes were part of Sic Mundus, but it is really unclear how they see it. So I will mainly focus on Noah, Elisabeth and Silja, who are known to really believe in paradise.
When Noah and Elisabeth meet, he shares his belief in paradise with her. Then they are separated by the disappearance of their daughter, and Silja as a child is brought to Elisabeth. Elisabeth shares her belief in paradise with Silja. The way I think it might play out is that Elisabeth knew this child who had just lost her mother, and she wanted to comfort this little girl by sharing something that had given her comfort since she was a little girl. I also think that Elisabeth was specifically told to form Sic Mundus in the post-apocalyptic era and protect the plant.
So Silja was raised in a cult until 1888, where she continued her life and died with an earlier version of the same cult. Her husband was part of the cult since his late teens until his death, and their kids were raised in a cult. There is little or no information about the family of Bartosz, Silja, Hanno and Agnes. So I have some assumptions about their family dynamics. Silja named her son Hanno after her late mother Hannah. Hanno was very young when his mother died. So I think the way she may have introduced Hanno to paradise is as a bedtime story. I mean Silja gave her son something from her mother, which is his name, so I think it would make sense if she gave her son something from the other parental figure she had in her life, which is Elisabeth. Something that gave her comfort in hard times and now she could share with her little boy in better times.
I also think I could connect this with Bartosz death. What if Bartosz wanted to keep this image of a "perfect paradise" as a way for his child to remember Silja?
It would be even easier to manipulate a little cult boy into thinking that betraying his father is an act of love. Adam believed in paradise, but not in the same way. His version wasn't as optimistic; their version was easier to manipulate and use in his favor. Sic Mundus can make Noah believe that his father's detachment from the prophecy is forgetting his mother's memory, and he knows that his father is clearly in pain. Bartosz has lost his faith, but Noah can still free him from all that pain and take him to Paradise. Noah must save his father by killing him.
If he thought something like that, it made me think of the phrase Noah repeated more than once, "he also said we'd become friends before you betray me". Noah always knew that he would be betrayed, but he didn't imagine that his baby would be stolen by his own baby and the mother who was also her baby's daughter, all ordered by Adam. I think Noah always taught that Adam would kill him. Maybe he would lose his faith like his father and Adam would betray him. He would save him by killing him like Noah did with his father. Jonas would do it because he loves Noah and it would free him from all his pain. Adam is his savior.
After the experiments failed and Charlotte's birth was difficult, Noah didn't feel his faith was as strong. He was hopeless. But they're going to make it, they're going to fulfill the prophecy. Noah will have to travel and teach a younger version of himself. He has never seen a much older version of himself, so it could mean that his time is near. But could paradise ever be as sweet and real as what he's building with his family? it doesn't matter how he feels, he just wants Elisabeth to keep her hope, and he would give her the strength he doesn't have for himself.

Meet Monk and Survivor
The Wings of Rain beans hehe
Note: Most information is given out at the current place in time the characters themselves are at, though some is from future things that will happen. (Namely, just clarifying which ending they'll end up getting)
Tumblr media
Let's start with their overall family!
Their family was one of the many slugcat units living in the largest scav/scug camp within Pebbles and Moon's region. Originally, it was a pretty normal family with their mom, dad, and the three kids (a son and two daughters). Survivor is the oldest sibling, and gained massive popularity with the camp due to their potential and the promise they showed. Their first raid was a small one, just Survivor, their father, a few other slugs, and a squad of scabbies. The raid was meant to be nothing more than a quick in and out, but it was miscalculated and Pebbles decimated the raid, killing nearly the entire group. Survivor was caught on the edge of a blast of fire and likely would have died without the help of a scavenger trio hauling them away. They were the only four to survive the raid.
When they came back, fatherless and badly burned, Survivor spent a long time with the medics of the camp (aka make you more comfy and tell people to fuck off while you're healing). Their mother was left alone to take care of two young pups (Monk and the other pup being ~12 in human terms). A mother scavenger with a single young pup who lost her mate in the same raid took pity on Survivor's family and offered to help raise them. To clarify, though, they are not lesbians. (The scav does have feelings for momma scug tho so it might happen)
Tumblr media
Quick family doodle lol ^
After they recovered from their burns and a long time later (Few years, like 4) Survivor, Monk, three other young adult/adolescent scugs, and a scav squad went out hunting. As the rain picked up, however, Survivor's scars acted up on them and combined with the slippery pole, they fell. Not wanting to lose a valuable member, half the scavengers jumped in after them. Emboldened by this, Monk also jumped, despite being weak and not fully grown.
So that's their backstory.
Survivor
Survivor's name is Stormcloud, and he is an adult slugcat searching for a way back home after falling deeper into Pebbles' region. His equipment/skills include a belt to store rocks, grenades, and other small objects, and he is an excellent hunter. He comes short in that 1) he's (rightfully) terrified of Five Pebbles and assume any flying creature far above is him, running at the sight or sound of wings 2) his burn scar sometimes acts up, just causing slight irritation and pain.
The pearl necklace is one of the highest honors a slugcat can get, considering how Scavengers are mostly in charge. It demonstrates someone with skill, ferocity, determination, and potential. His large burn scar is from the previously mentioned raid, but the scar across his face came from a dispute with other slugcats in the camp.
Stormcloud is loyal and lethal, adept at using whatever tools he has to end a bitch's life. He often plays defender to less capable creatures being attacked, such as yeeks, but doesn't hesitate to eat whatever is an option to him. He's also quite resilient, never losing hope.
He cares for his friends and family dearly, notably preventing other slugcats or scavengers from being mean to his younger siblings and mother, and in general hates to see any kind of abuse of power. He has big dreams, and hopes to one day slay Five Pebbles the same way some defeated Moon.
Currently, Stormcloud is still searching for his way back home, though he has met enough echoes that ascension would be an option. (Storm will make it home at some point)
Monk
Monk's name is Ray (Like a ray of sunshine, hehe), and she is a adolescent slugcat searching for her brother and a way back home. She has very little going for her, her only skills being that she is good at cultivating plants (Specifically, karma flowers and mushrooms), and that she is nimble. She has a similar belt to her brother, but Ray is very weak and easily scared. Lucky for her, some predators don't attack her due to her small size, and other prey often draws attention away.
Her feathers are plucked from various vultures that the camp defeated for masks. She just thinks they're pretty, hehe. Her pearl string is a similar reason, she thinks it's pretty, and even found a unique colored pearl. Stormcloud made sure nobody fussed over her use of pearls. The scars across her stomach are actually from leaping after her brother. Rough landing.
Ray is shy and nervous. She's easily spooked and runs from problems, or freezes in fear. She's very used to Stormcloud being there to protect her, and without him, she is practically defenseless.
Currently, Ray is heading towards the void sea on recommendation from Moon after mistakenly believing Stormcloud to have done the same. (Ray will eventually ascend)
By the way, for those curious why Moon recommended it: In her ruined state, stuck in the land below and terrified that she could be killed for good by slugcats or scavengers, Moon can't do much. She did initially try to kill Ray, since it's a single slugcat, but as Ray started to cry out, Moon stopped and quieted her. Moon then offered the helpful advice that, with Ray having met echoes and reaching a higher attunement, she should head west and find the void sea to escape. Ray was worried for Stormcloud, and Moon offered that she had met another slugcat and given the same advice (that other slugcat was not, in fact, Stormcloud). Ray believes Stormcloud went there and now wants to follow their brother. (Ray also didn't want to return to the camp without Stormcloud for fear of being blamed for his loss)

Some in the Bridgerton fandom will paint Kate as being in an abusive family, paint Edwina and Mary (even Lady Danbury at times) as these villainous people who make her life miserable just to make Anthony and his family the "better choice". Like, ignoring how this trope of "villainous poc family causing the poc female character to run away into arms of a white family" is so terrible it also makes no sense when in reference to these characters themselves. Let's start with the Sharmas: we have Kate who is the daughter of a man who remarried and had a child of their own. Now, from that alone people just outright use this as a way to paint Mary in a bad light, making up the most outlandish things, when Mary admits very adamantly that she always viewed Kate as her daughter and has/will always love her. Why do you think she was so outraged by Kate being willing to accept the deal given by the Sheffields?
Now, on to Edwina. Some will hang that "half-sister" line over her head but won't give the same action to Anthony, or heck, even Kate (though she doesn't deserve hate like Anthony more so criticism for some parts). Now the line was wrong, for sure, but that doesn't mean Edwina wasn't in her right. Here we have a young girl who lost her father, is aware of her family's social and economic status, and is informed from the beginning that her finding a suitable match will either tip or support the balance of her family's lives. Edwina is literally entered into the show searching for a husband to help support her family, that's first, romance came second. So enter Anthony who, infront of her, is so charming and kind and even though him and her sister are fighting at times he still seeks her out. He's wealthy and promises to provide for her family, something that she wants. Only to find out that none of it was real, or at least, real towards her and that she was hurt in the process (by this I refer to the Sheffields ordeal and Anthony's whole attitude and his lack of respect for her). Like that's messed up and anyone would be upset over it, forgive a woman (more so a young woman in Edwina's case) expressing their feelings. Some of you want her to be Kate's cheerleader 24/7, and it shows. And Edwina was always ready to comfort Kate, from her (Kate) being detached from the world (during her wedding) to her supporting her (Kate) and Anthony being together, so let's not go on and say the Bridgertons would be better.
Now, on to the main family themselves, what we see of the Bridgertons in s2 isn't even that positive when you really think about it. From the beginning, when Anthony is looking for a wife with the most horrible standards, Violet, who notes that her son isn't looking for marriage for the right reasons and instead of trying to talk to him about it, instantly goes and states she's disappointed by his outlook and fears he won't be happy, confused as to why he's this way. BECAUSE YOU PLACED THAT WEIGHT ON HIM. Like I understand losing her husband was terrible, it was, but to then put all that pressure and weight on to your eldest and then become surprised when it starts affecting him in ways you don't like, while taking hardly any time to actually talk about his feelings, is laughable (couldn't think of a better word). Like whenever Anthony is around with valid points, she looks exasperated at times. And the other Bridgertons aren't better from Daphne literally pitying him (even tho she knew about his feelings for Kate and could have eased the situation instead of letting it go on) to Bennedict laughing at him at every turn to the siblings joking about the situation he put them in (which they themselves could have prevented but didn't & aren't affected as severely by like the Sharmas), it makes no sense how people would view them as better than the Sharmas.
Now on to Kate and how this view affects her. One big reason being is the fact that it ignores her insecurities, only paints them in a different light. Kate didn't view herself as Mary's daughter because her father had been with someone before he met Mary, long after she was born. She didn't think Mary would love her as a daughter and is surprised when she finds out that she actually does. Kate accepts the Sheffields deal because it will help Edwina, because she (Kate) understands their social and economic status and is willing to leave the only family she has just for them to be secure and happy. That's the reason she has turmoil, not because her family hates her and is abusing her! Like where did that thought even come from? Kate has issues of not expressing her feelings, bottling them up and trying to handle things herself until it blows over, that's it. And when she does express them, do you know who actively seeks to reassure her? Her mother and sister. They don't make jokes or make the environment able to express these emotions nonexistent (like the Bridgertons with Anthony), they try to help her because they love her.
Honestly, the Sharmas deserve so much better because if it isn't the show doing them dirty than it's the fandom.
[Quick edit because people were taking some things out of context, by sneaking behind her (Edwina) back, I was referring to the whole Sheffield incident because, when it's revealed, it literally put her, and her sister and mother, in an awkward position and makes her and her family look like bad people, especially in front of the Bridgertons. I reworded my original post and added context, and admit I could have worded it better, but for those who saw it as me immediately trashing Kate's character, I will state here that was nowhere near the intent and never was, sorry for the slip up]

A Softer Side
Aemond Targaryen x Plus Size Female Reader
You are a Strong, and as such you have spent much time in the Red Keep with your Lord Father the Hand. After crossing paths with Aemond many times, you have forged an unlikely friendship at only ten-and-four.
Tumblr media
This chapter is safe for all ages. There are some things that may be problematic such as a young betrothal (at 14), Targaryen incest sometimes mentioned, some self-deprecation and insults from other characters, (Especially "your" mom).
Other chapters will mention the terrible things that happen to the Strong family, Aemond's disfigurement, and once they are older may be suggestive or more. But for now they are kids and literally thinking of nothing but being happy with each other. This is more of a prologue to explain their relationship than anything, really.
I am not planning on following canon and allowing the dance to happen because this is a reader insert so like...why not be happy? Also book lore says Aemond was 10 when he lost his eye but I'm aging them up to 14 because betrothing people at 10 would be WILD. (14 is still wild but it's GOT so) Anyway, enjoy!
--------------------
You were luckier than your fellow noble girls in many ways...and yet unlucky in others. The Red Keep is your home, surrounding you with royalty of all kinds. Your mother told you before you left that it would be almost impossible not to make a good match, even at your age of ten-and-four and with your "plump" figure. No matter her words or her scoldings, it seemed like you just were inclined to be softer than others. It wasn't a crime, but for a noble girl in your time it may as well have been. You weren’t unlucky because of your softness, of course, your body is your body, but there are people that just don’t understand.
You walk just as much as the other girls, embroider, read, eat like them, and yet your body has decided that you must be bigger. In your own eyes, you suspect that it must be due to your "Stronger" genes. Yes, the daughter of someone who produced a hulking giant like Harwin and a smart, cunning whip of a man like Larys might also be unexpected in terms of body type. Lyonel was large, your mother was small, and it was only a coin toss to see which you would be.
Like your father, you seemed to retain weight in your middle. You are young, though, and according to your mother could "lose your baby weight at any day." You scoff and remind yourself that this may be the body you are in forever, which is fine by you. Either you find a lord that doesn't mind your weight or you don't, and you end up a maid. But those are the same options presented to every young girl in the kingdom, so you refuse to feel sorry for yourself.
Your father did see a lot of himself in you, though. Pitying and understanding glances thrown your way during your mother's lectures at dinner. If she ever revoked your food, your father would sneak up a plate to your room while Harwin kept watch. But with your father's position as Hand of the King, you were left alone with your mother more often than not. Eventually, you begged him to take you to the Red Keep with him, just as he did for Harwin and Larys. He could never seem to refuse you, and your mother agreed quickly as well.
Yes, you were lucky to be in the Red Keep and away from her now. It was your opinion that she wanted you out of her hair as much as you wanted out of her reach. And you did seem to come to your own when away from her. You stopped shrinking down at dinners or around others and began to straighten your back like a proper lady. The weight hasn't gone, just like you suspected, but that's alright with you. It at least keeps Aegon's interests away.
The elder son of Queen Alicent was cruel, and his face shows it each time he glances at you. He seems to hold almost a hatred towards any woman or girl that didn't fit within his type, and that decidedly includes you. Princes Jacaerys and Lucerys treat you like any other person, as their own mother has a figure like yours. But...Aemond...
Aemond was one of your best friends here. You were of similar ages and had initially met when you both waited outside the small council chamber for your fathers. Aemond would try to catch even a glimpse of Viserys as he stormed away from the meetings, while you would await your own father who would escort you either to the dining hall or your rooms depending on the time of day.
You began to speak quietly with Aemond outside the hall one day, surprised when he answered back. He is sweet, that much you can say, and soft-spoken. Many may call him reserved but you believe that to be fair after he has been ignored by his father and insulted by his brother and nephews. You began to invite him to eat with you and your own father after the meetings, wanting for him to not be as alone in the world.
He accepted the first time and would follow you with an unspoken look at each meeting from there on. He seemed to begin to open up to you and the Lord Hand, to a lesser extent. Your own father seemed to be impressed and proud of your ability to bring out a talkative and excitable side to the prince. You have always had a gift for relating to others and bringing out the best in them.
All you really had to do was observe and remember. You knew that Aemond likes to read, as you saw him under the Godswood with a book on many of your strolls, and you knew that he knows much of the history of the seven kingdoms. So, at the first dinner, you asked him about his favorite story. His eyes widened and, with a little prompting, he began to regale you of a tale of knights and princesses and nobility and dragons, of course. He said more words that night than your Lord Father had ever seen. And you listened intently, your hand on your chin and a small smile on your face. You found yourself happy when the prince was happy.
And he began to take more notice of you outside of your dinners as well...and you him, of course. He would glance up from his reading as he sat under the Godswood, waiting to catch a glimpse of you as you walked by. Eventually, he would even invite you to sit with him, asking if he could read to you. You accepted, and would sit next to him on his blanket, politely listening to his soft voice. Sometimes he would have you read to him, which gave him the ability to look openly at you as your eyes focused on the words.
It is a beautiful, peaceful moment such as that today. You are currently under the Godswood, allowing yourself to lay down by Aemond's side as he reads from a heavy tome. He seems to be taking pauses in between some paragraphs today, your eyes meeting as he glances down at you with a soft smile. You are, of course, unable to know his own thoughts, which center on how pretty you look with your hair shining in the sun, a soft, contented smile on your face. But near the end of the chapter, as he pauses once more, you glance up to see that he is not looking at you, but ahead.
You pull yourself up to rest on your elbows, shocked to see your own father and the King himself standing in the walkway, looking at the two of you. You and Aemond quickly get to your feet. He bows while mumbling out a "father" and you curtsy while welcoming his grace. Both of them have small smiles on their face, and Viserys almost seems...lighter...maybe even happier than you have seen him in a while.
They move on, leaving you and Aemond are a bit shaken. After sitting in silence for a moment, looking at each other with a slight awkwardness, Aemond slams the book closed as he moves to get up. "I-I am sorry, truly, but I must leave you now to practice." You nod with understanding, standing up and making a shoo-ing motion. "I understand, Prince, go on! Become Strong like me." You smile at him and show him your "Strong" arms by flexing. He laughs and his eyes light up with almost determination, "I-I will become S-Strong for you, you will see!"
He runs off, as you turn and roll your eyes at his enthusiasm, your heart feeling the warmth of content. You find yourself walking to your own practice with embroidery, humming to yourself as your shoes echo on the stones. Though it isn't as impressive as a sword, you were actually happy to be able to create something with your own hands and thread. It was frustrating at first, but like Aemond's sword fighting, you practiced.
You are proud of the progress you have made, and the other ladies like to gather and coo over your work. Currently, you have been embroidering a scene from Aemond's favorite story. The flags of the tournament were difficult to get as detailed as you wanted, but the knights are almost glinting in the sun thanks to your skill.
As you finish off a thread, you hear murmurs of "Lord Hand" and hear the clatter of rings being set down. You look up to see your father and quickly set down your work as well, rising to your feet. He smiles and grabs your shoulders. "My dear, I have a surprise for you at dinner tonight." Your face contorts in confusion as you are about to ask what, but your father shakes his head. "I cannot tell you until you join us, but I would like for you to go to your rooms and prepare yourself instead of meeting us outside the small council chambers. Put on your best dress, make sure your hair is presentable, possibly take a bath after laying in the dirt..."
He scrunches up his nose in an obvious jest and you both laugh. You nod your head, ever the dutiful daughter, and pick up your embroidery. Your own father prefers to lead you to your rooms, (with Harwin being close behind if he was available), as it gives him time to discuss your opinions of the Red Keep and your happiness as you walk. "Now, what have you been making here?" He asks as you leave the room.
You try to hide the embroidery but he snatches it from your hands. "Ah! I recognize this well. You have a talent, my dear. Or...at least I believe you do. I know not of embroidery myself." He smiles and you giggle. "But what made you so fixated on creating this scene in thread?"
You blush and look down as you continue to walk, fixating on your shoes. "Oh. Well...Prince Aemond's name-day will be here before we know it. I...I wished to have a gift for him, and so...I made him his favorite scene from his favorite story."
Your Lord Father nods as you continue to look down, his face showing almost triumph as his assumption was right. He remembers that first meal with Aemond just as well as you do. You look up to him, your hand reaching out for your work. He gently places it into your hand, and you look at it as you speak. "Will Aemond be alright if I do not meet him as usual after the small council meeting?"
Your Father smiles as he looks down at you, "Yes, I will meet him and escort him to our dining room." He places his hand on your shoulder. "Do not worry, my child, he will understand your delayed arrival soon." You nod and look up at your door as you reach your chambers. The doors swing open under your hands, and you allow yourself one glance back for reassurance at your father before you close them behind you.
You find your father had arranged for a few handmaidens and a hot bath to be ready for you, and you gladly sink into the fragrant water as your hair is quickly unbraided and gently washed. Once you are clean, you dry off and then step into your best chemise and dress. As your handmaidens braid your drying hair neatly once more, you run your hands nervously over your front, feeling your soft middle.
The handmaidens help you with the finishing touches to your look, catching flyaway hairs and wrangling them into place. They also give you just a hint of perfume your mother had sent with you, the smell reminding you of home. Once they are finished, the sun is falling behind the ocean, and you must head to dinner.
You find your own brothers standing outside your room once you exit, both Harwin and Larys looking towards you. Harwin smiles with his entire face and seems to want to give you one of his all-encompassing bear hugs, but Larys gently places a hand on his chest. "Not yet, brother. She must be presentable for the dinner." You smile gratefully at Larys, knowing that he thinks more deeply about things sometimes than Harwin.
He gives you a very cryptic glance back. It is almost a smile, but guarded. Though you spend more time with Harwin, you always enjoy time with Larys. His advice was what kept you sane in the Red Keep when whispers about your body followed you in your first few weeks. Though his struggle is much different than yours, you both are able to commiserate and get advice from the other. You worry that, as a girl of ten-and-four, you cannot even begin to give Larys any useful advice...but he sometimes seems to be comforted just by your understanding and listening ear.
He continues to give you the cryptic look as he softly speaks, "Good luck, little sister." And you hear his cane clack against the stone as he moves in the opposite direction. Harwin shakes his head a bit and grabs your shoulder in comfort, telling you that you look beautiful as you walk down the stairs and towards the hall.
"Harwin?" He glances down at you. "Why is this dinner different? Did I do something wrong?" Harwin moves to your front and kneels in front of you as he grabs your shoulders, stopping you from entering the dining room just yet. "You have done nothing of the sort." His eyes are open and loving. "You are a wonderful daughter for our father and a kind sister. Anyone would be happy to be counted amongst your acquaintances. Remember that." You nod, confusingly, as Harwin nods back and stands up. You did not notice upon first glance, but Kingsguard are stationed at the door.
They open the doors for you, and Harwin places his hand on your back to lead you into the room. Your face of confusion turns to shock as you see King Viserys where you do not expect him for the second time today. Queen Alicent is by his side at the head of the table, and a quick glance to Aemond shows his look of shock as well. (Though you do not know that he is more shocked at your beauty than his own father) You quickly curtsy as you are announced, looking to the King and Queen and doing your best to give them your Graces.
The King smiles and points to a spot next to Aemond. "Please, join us young one." You glance to your father and he nods. Usually you sit across from Aemond, but tonight would be different, it seems. You walk to your seat and are surprised to see Aemond stand up and pull it out for you. You blush, thank him, and sit down, letting him push your chair back in.
The King gives a slight toast to "new friends and the Strong bond between family" and begins to dig in. You glance to your father who has also begun to eat, taking it as your own cue to do so as well. You find a singular piece of potato that interests you, spearing it with your fork. The voice of your mother spears through you in much the same way, "Must you be so happy to eat, child? At least appear as if food holds nothing to you even if it is clear to everyone that it does."
You slowly bring it up, trying not to appear too hungry, and eat, glancing over at Aemond to see that he is also unable to eat with his usual fervor. At least you weren't alone in your lost appetite. Your father clears his throat and you look to him. "So, my dear daughter, would you like to discuss your day as usual with Aemond?" As straightforward as ever, your father. You nod but glance in what you think is an imperceptible way towards the King.
He chuckles as your eyes meet. "Oh, she is a bit frightened of me, it seems, Lyonel." You blush a bit, feeling ashamed that the King can tell. "Just pretend I am not here, child." You find yourself speaking without even thinking, "Pardon, your Grace, but that is easier said than done." You shock yourself and look down to your plate in shame, before you hear the King let out a loud, surprised laugh.
"Very well said and observed." You look up once more to see that his face is full of mischief. "Then instead, pretend that I am an old man who cares not of the manners of court for the time being." You stay quiet, causing the Queen to interject. "My dear, we are your friends here. You may discuss whatever you want freely with Aemond."
She gives you a gentle smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes as you turn from her to Aemond. He is blushing heavily at this point, and you try to very slowly and gently grab his hand in support. He looks to you and you begin to speak in a soft voice. "H-how was training today, Prince Aemond?"
He looks to you and then to his father...then down to his plate. "O-oh. Well...I was k-knocked down by Aegon once more. Many times, in fact." You feel his shame, and the urge to comfort him makes you truly forget about the King. "Aemond, that is alright. You are younger." You smile and continue, "And besides, the best knights learn from their mistakes and losses and use them to become Strong."
He turns to you in thankfulness, "S-Strong like you?" You nod, "Exactly, Strong like me!" And you pick up your arm, showing him your "muscles." He giggles and you smile and then you remember where you are. You slowly look to the King and your Father, lowering your arm and blushing at forgetting your manners and behavior. The King begins to eat again, saying through a mouthful of food, "Well, go on."
You feel so ashamed that now you are the one who cannot speak, and Aemond instead is the one who talks. "My Lady Strong, what have you done today?" He squeezes your hand and seems to be looking only at you. You inhale and respond. "Well, you know I embroider as all Ladies in court do, but that must bore a Prince such as yourself."
Aemond shakes his head. "Nothing that you do bores me, My Lady." He has slightly reddened cheeks as he continues, "You are interesting in everything that you do...to m-me that is." He smiles at you, truly this time, and you smile back.
"Well, that is good to know, My Prince." You have completely forgotten about the royalty in the room once more, basking in just talking with your dearest friend. "I will bring a nice, dusty old tome from the Maester's Library to read tomorrow at the Godswood. It should thrill you to hear about all of the proceedings of court from times of peace."
You muster up your best proper voice and continue, "Yes, and on the 12th day of millions of years ago, a King decided to have tea with his friends. They spoke at length with each other and then retired to their rooms." You collapse a bit into your normal posture and use your normal voice once more. "Quite riveting, if I am not mistaken."
Aemond truly laughs, his own thoughts away from his father watching over him. Then he looks at you with open enthusiasm. "If I am to hear about it from you, then I do not mind." He squeezes your hand once more, "You have a way of making history interesting to me."
A jarring sound of utensils being set down brings you both from your conversation, and you suddenly, again, remember that the King has been watching you with his son the whole time. You look to him apprehensively, expecting to get a lecture about respect towards history or the Prince. But instead you see his face still holds his previous smile.
"Well, it seems my Lord Hand is right once more, wouldn't you agree, my dear?" He looks to the Queen, who slowly nods. "It does appear that, though we thought him to be biased..." She glances with almost coldness at your father, "...he once again does his best to give you an accurate reading of circumstances." She looks to her son at the end of her sentence, and notices your joined hands. She seems to soften a bit, almost unable to keep up any pretense.
She looks to the King. "I say that the Strong's have been excellent allies to the court and..." She pauses, "...Lord Strong has been a decent Hand of the King these years." She gathers herself. "I await your decision, Lord Husband."
You stop for a moment...decision? But The King stands, with a bit of difficulty, and the rest of the table follows suit. He grins at his son and begins, "I believe that the best way to reward years of service and ensure continued loyalty would be the joining of House Strong and House Targaryen." He brings up his goblet in a motion for a toast, and you all follow suit. "I, Viserys Targaryen, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, do hereby join my own House and House Strong by betrothing mine own son Aemond Targaryen to Lady Y/N of the House Strong." Your eyes open wide in shock, unable to even move as he continues his speech, "...you will be wed once you turn ten-and-eight, and from then on you will be bound. We all hope your union to be one of joy and prosperity." He brings up his goblet to drink and everyone follows, with the exception of you and Aemond.
You glance over and him and notice that he has already been looking to you, a blush on his face. He gives you a small smile and motions to your cup. You hurriedly bring it to your lips to mirror the King's movements, and he does the same. Once the toast is finished you all sit down, the King leading in his own stead. He looks to you both and speaks, "It does seem that the two of you already have a bond of friendship."
You feel your face heating up but continue to look to the King. "You know, the best marriages are built based on not only duty, but friendship and love." The King seems to deflate then, lost in his own thoughts. The Queen worriedly holds his arm and you take hold of Aemond's hand in comfort once more.
"I-I seem to be ready to retire for the night," The King almost whispers. There have been rumors around the court of his failing health. He seems to lose himself and his energy even after the smallest of exertions. The Queen nods to the guards and they all summon around the King, ready to escort him. Viserys looks to you both once more before he leaves the room, and his eyes seem to hold such sadness as he softly speaks, "My son, treat her well."
And with that, the doors shut, leaving you, your Father, and Aemond alone once more. Your father clears his throat and calls for your brother to enter the room. Surprisingly, both Larys and Harwin enter, and they join you as you all take a seat once more. Food is brought for them, and they begin to eat, Harwin glancing between both Aemond and your own untouched plate.
Aemond seems to shrink a bit under his critical gaze, but he also looks to see that you haven't eaten much. He squeezes your hand and looks at you with imploring eyes. "My Lady, won't you eat? You cannot stay Strong without it, you know." He tries to grin but his own worry is palpable through his attempt at humor.
You shake your head in disbelief, "I-I cannot find myself able to even think of hunger at the moment after...after..." You look to him. "...So...we are to be betrothed then? Just like that?"
Aemond seems to shrink even more, releasing your hand. "I am sorry if I was not the person you had wanted." He almost whispers now. "I know that I do not even have a dragon. I cannot be the best for you."
Your eyes widen, understanding how Aemond could misunderstand your question. The pause in the sounds of cutlery against plates makes you look to your family, who had indeed stopped eating to listen in. You glare at all of them, especially at Harwin, who brings up his hands in surrender and continues to eat. The sounds give you a bit of cover.
You grab his hand gently, trying to hold it tight so he can't escape again. "My prince," you say lowly, "There is no one I would rather be with than you. I-" you pause, breathing in shakily. "...I was only worried that you would not be happy with me. I am not a great beauty nor from a Valerian House." You feel what Aemond had felt, now, wanting to draw your own hand away. "I cannot offer you what others could."
Aemond grips your hand tightly now and shakes his head. "No! No! I...I cannot think of another who has been here for me like you. Or another who I have wanted to share my time with such as you. You are my..." He pauses, "...my greatest friend. It is an honor to be betrothed."
You sigh, realizing that maybe friendship IS the best you could hope for from a Targaryen Prince in your marriage. You nod. "I agree wholeheartedly." He looks to your plate once more. "Then please eat for me, my betrothed. You deserve to be happy and taken care of. I-I will take care of you." Squeezing his hand, you take your utensils as directed. Your brother makes a disgusted sound and you look to Harwin, who rolls his eyes and pretends to gag.
You stick out your tongue at your much older brother's childish antics, and you decide that you will eat your food if for no other reason than to spite him and his disgust at your friendship with the Prince. Once finished, you stand up and announce that you will retire to your rooms. Harwin stands as well to escort you, but Aemond grabs your hand.
"Y-you wouldn't mind if I walked you there as well?" You shake your head and look to your father for approval. His face is full of such warmth and pride that it almost makes you want to run to your rooms to escape it, not used to being the center of such happy emotions. He nods, "Of course, Prince Aemond. Harwin will escort you both to my daughters chambers, where you can say goodnight."
You gently take Aemond's outstretched hand with a blush. He at least was doing his best to appear to be the perfect betrothed, and you would do the same. Though you know that it will not be difficult to try on your part. You walk in silence, mainly, Harwin occasionally chuckling lowly, causing you to glare at him. Once you reach your chambers, Aemond brings you in front of him, holding both of your hands.
He looks nervously at Harwin, and you glare up at him once more, signalling him to turn with your head. He rolls his eyes and turns his back on the two of you, crossing his arms. Aemond smiles softly at you, his eyes shining. "Would you close your eyes for me, my Lady Strong." You do, giving him a small smile in return. You feel his breath on your cheek for only a moment before his lips replace it, you eyes opening in shock as you see the Prince give you a chaste kiss on the cheek.
He pulls back and his cheeks are bright red, you bring one of your hands from his to feel your face, which is warm as well. You almost feel as if your body is made of some sort of ice that can melt into the floor when his free hand caresses your face where he kissed it. "G-goodnight, my Lady Strong."
You softly respond, "Goodnight, my Strong Prince."
He blushes, looks down, and releases your hands, allowing you to enter your room. You glance back at him once more to see him watching you intently, you wave, and close the doors behind you.
Filled with childish glee that one almost never gets to experience in a world such as the one you inhabit, you rush to your bed and grab one of the soft pillows, using it to mask your squeal of happiness. Aemond would be your Husband. Aemond would be your HUSBAND! Even if he would never love you as you him, it would be so much easier to move through life with him by your side. Your handmaiden looks on in happiness, herself, before tapping you on the shoulder.
As you babble to her about the day, acting like the child you are for the first time around her, you get ready for bed. You are so excited from thoughts of your future rushing through your head that you cannot even think to get to sleep. It is, of course, not your fault that you couldn't see the future. Perhaps if you could, you might have worked to stop what was already in motion. Though realizing it was out of your control, you might have felt dejected.
At least, you might have forced yourself to calm down and sleep, as it would become very difficult for you to do so in the very near future, as a deep, dark dread is approaching on the horizon. For your family, especially.

Whelp, this is the post that’s probably gonna get me exiled from the community.
Ah well. Anyways. Simple dynamic chart for how I interpret the cast (at least in the main PT timeline). With tiny explanations for why it is the way it is.
Peppino and Gustavo: Boyfriends. They've been together for an extremely long time, spanning all the way back to their high school years. Gus has always been supportive of Pep, being there for him for some of the toughest moments in his life. Pep honestly doesn't know where he'd be without Gus. That's how much of a positive impact he's had on him. Peppino and Noise: You know the drill. Classic Tom and Jerry esque rivals who can almost never see eye to eye. All of this stemming from the early years of NTV, when Noise decided to go a little too far with one of his pranks. Pep being the unfortunate victim. The public were outraged at Noise's actions, causing NTV to lose funding for a short while. This lead Noise to despise Pep for not being able to take a joke, meanwhile Pep disliked Noise for how much he pushed his buttons. Thus began a rivalry that'll probably last til the end of time. Peppino and Enzo: Given the similar trauma they have regarding their family, Enzo is almost like a son to Pep. He's extremely overprotective of him, and if anyone DARE to even hurt him, they'd probably get yeeted into the fucking sun. Enzo cares for Pep as well, and cannot stand seeing him suffer in debt. Hence why he does all this sketchy work. To make money to help Pep pay off his debt. Pep is completely unaware, although that's probably for the better.
Enzo and Noise: Soooo...these two got an interesting situation going on. While you think Enzo would be picky with what kinda guys he likes given his work, the reality is that all he wants is someone that can make him happy. That can make him laugh. And Noise manages to fit that role perfectly. Although he knows Pep would ABSOLUTELY not have it. And is kinda stuck in a state of pining. Noise on the other hand, has NEVER actually caught feelings for anyone before, so this is a first to him. Now, I know you may be thinking "What about Noisette?" Well.... Noise and Noisette: Ok so, technically. These two are married. BUT, it was a marriage under a contract. Noise never had romantic interest in Noisette. Her father is extremely wealthy, and was the one to reignite NTV after it fell. However, due to his daughter's crush on Noise, he decided that as an extra add on, Noise would have to marry Noisette. Noise, being young, extremely stupid, and not really having anybody he found interest in at the time, agreed. He thought that maybe, eventually, he'd catch something for her. But that never happened. Now, he doesn't HATE her. He just doesn't feel the same way she does. Still, he doesn't want to break her heart. Not only will he hurt her feelings, but her he knows her father might kill him if he does. Not to mention his career will be down the drain again, but that's the least of his worries. Noisette and Vigilante: These two get along extremely well. They'll talk for HOURS on end and not get bored. And While Vigi isn't exactly the biggest fan of Noisette's cooking, he has offered to help her improve. (Vigi may or may not actually be a decent cook in my HC). He eventually caught feelings for her. Still has them, but since she's married to Noise, he feels that it's somewhat of a lost cause. (Spolier alert: It's not.)
Well that's that. Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go confront the angry mob that's appeared on my doorstep. Bye.~

YESSS OH MY GOD PLEASE SCREAM AT ME I've read the entire thing but I don't remember where in the book each thing happens so I can't say shit yet out of fear of spoilers but I am SO READY to ramble with you once you're done AAAAA
-❄️
IM LOSING MY MINDDDD like I've hit the stage I hit when I was reading priory where I become so obsessed with the book I just want to read it all the time and it's all I can think about it's so so good
I'll talk a little bit about what's making me so insane the most below the cut - spoilers for a day of fallen night (prequel to the priory of the orange tree) below!
just. glorian and wulf. aaaaaa I love their relationship so much. I had a strange feeling wayyyy earlier in the book that something was going to happen and wulf might end up being the one to get glorian pregnant but just. they mean so much to me. their friendship is so sweet.
I'm just going so insane over glorian in general. she's a child!!! she's a 16-17 year old girl who is so scared but is so determined to be the best queen she can. her mother thought she wasn't enough and even though her mother isn't here to see her fulfill her duties she's so determined to be more than what her mother thought she would be. I seriously adore how samantha shannon wrote her. she genuinely feels so much like a teenage girl even as she gets more and more responsibilities settled on her shoulders.
and just. the way she's chained to her castle walls until she has a child. her body is an incubator and she can't defend her people the way she wants until her womb has served its purpose. she wants so badly to be more than a womb, she wants to be the shield for her people. she wants to be their protector. she wants to be their queen. but she can't do that until she continues this vicious cycle of the berethnet queens.
(also I just deeply appreciate how clear samantha shannon made it that glorian is aroace. I know she wrote tané as aroace in the first book which was great but it wasn't the kind of thing I could extrapolate from the text on my own. glorian's orientation never feels unnaturally slotted in it's just a part of who she is but it's very explicit at the same time. and I especially appreciate it since she does have sex! and she doesn't hate it, even joking with wulf like "oh how terrible we have to do this several times" but also knowing once she's pregnant she's never going to have sex again. like yes asexuals can have sex and even enjoy it and I just love the nuance glorian is given)
but man. glorian shieldheart. she's so young but she's doing such an amazing job as queen already and I'm so glad she had wulf and that he made sure she was comfortable and okay. I am terrified something is going to happen to wulf but if he survives the grief of ages I am so deeply hoping he gets assigned to stay in Inys serving glorian as a knight so he can watch his daughter grow up even if its from afar
also of course I love all the other characters too. I love dumai and nikeya's dynamic so much and I'm so obsessed with the two of them (I had first suspected maybe they were going to have something between them but I brushed it off and when I realized we were going that direction I literally cheered out loud). and tunuva... oh tunuva I love you. I want her to find wulf so badly. I'm also a bit pissed at esbar saying that tunuva doesn't feel the priory are enough, she's trying to find her SON!! I get you might not love your daughter more than any other priory sister esbar but tunuva loves both her children so deeply. I am very scared of what canthe/kalyba is up to. also when tunuva first told the story of how she lost her son to canthe I thought to myself "man wouldn't it be wild if that was wulf" and then I brushed it off bc I was like how would he get to inys. still don't know how he got there but I'm sure canthe had something to do with it.
just. aaaaaa. I'm losing my mind snowflake help

would it be soooo funny if daughter of ares fall in love one of Hermes kids? Like Chris and Clarisse, let’s say ares daughter first to camp after waking up from her fight with the monsters. The Son of Hermes aka Luke and Chris younger brother who the same age as Ares Daughter became her first friend along with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. The two being the mischievous kids they are starts being menaces. The Son of Hermes teaches Ares daughter how to pickpocket and steal without people noticing and Ares daughter shows the son of Hermes how to fight properly. During the time Percy pick her for his quest the son of Hermes give her a special compass that his dad give him so she wouldn’t get lost and Ares daughter thanks him by kissing on the cheek leaving him a bit flustered. Meanwhile Luke, Chris, and Clarisse are looking at their siblings with teasing smirks on their faces.
Ares not happy at all with his daughter having a potential future boyfriend while Hermes thinks it funny teasing Ares all day and once the group goes to the lotus casino. Hermes asks Ares daughter about his other son about the compass and Ares daughter reply “Yeah he give it to me he said he didn’t want me to get lost or something like that. I don’t know he was being weird about it for some reason, especially after I kiss him.” Meanwhile Hermes is like “interesting.” Percy and Annabeth is like “Girl, he like you.” 😏. Meanwhile Ares is fuming 😡
Son of Hermes developing a crush as soon as he saw Ares' daughter. She was unconscious and almost dead then. Imagine it was his responsibility to watch over her till she wakes up. The girl must have pushed him as a reflexe and got into attacking mode as soon as she wake up. Of course she apologized to him later.
Imagine him giving her the tour of the camp. If she is still unclaimed he will take her to Hermes' cabin and get her a bed. He wanted one right next to him but unfortunately for him she got a top bunk two rows from his bed.
I love your compass idea. I think it she would keep it around her neck and hold it everytime she is at the edge of losing hope or feeling anxious. As for the kiss, it was just a quick kiss on the cheek but our boy almost fainted which the other sons of Hermes would never let him forget. He was blushing for days and touching the cheek and smiling like a goof.
When Ares met his daughter he would indirectly and awkwardly try telling her that she is too young to date or get into any kind of relationship and she is looking at her father like he has gone made or something. Because right now she only think of the son of Hermes as a really good friend. Imagine her telling Ares that he doesn't need to worry about her, she will be fine and find her way back to camp, while she is absentmindedly holding the compass.
Hermes would take a special interest on her. Not to long ago he gifted his son the compass and he remember how happy the kid was. To give the compass to her definitely meant something big, at least to his son. Hermes would totally tease Ares about it and other gods probably have to hold him back, stopping him from attacking Area.
But like imagine later when the kids are 15 or 16 the son is on some quest or in a situation where it's almost impossible to get out and he is about the give up. The compass unfortunately couldn't get him out of it. But then he sees the initials of Ares' daughter on the back ofof the compass, it's something she did on her first quest. And he started at the initials for a few moments, traced it, remembered her smile, her laughter, her stubborn. He suddenly get the strong motivation to get himself out of the impossible and dangerous situation and get back to her. He has to go back to her. Otherwise how would he tell her about his years long crush on her?
