Really rough week as I was feeling hormonal and lethargic from the trip and also anxious about starting a new chapter. Spent most my energy just picking myself up so definitely grateful for the familiar and the comfortable — my bedroom, favorite food, exercise, family and weekend with long time/childhood friends I have not seen in a while! Reminder to try to always be brave cos while some things are changing, others remain the same.

Grateful, Thankful & Blessed 🤍
At times it can feel like life isn't perfect and neither am I. Even knowing and experiencing that, I am grateful. I am grateful when I did not get what I want because life was protecting me. I am grateful when life stepped in and gave me a life greater than I ever imagined for myself. I am grateful that everything that seemed to be going wrong was really steering me in the right direction. I am grateful for all the sadness, struggle and pain because life provided a contrast to truly appreciate all the beautiful moments, the highest of highs. I am grateful for the hardships I have faced because I have gained strength and wisdom that I never would have otherwise. I am grateful to still be here because traversing rocky roads have led me to conquer mountains I never thought I could. Ultimately I have come to understand through the imperfection, that really, life is perfect and who I am right now is exactly who I am meant to be.

What are you thankful for today? I start each day thinking about the things I am grateful for - it starts the day with such a lovely positive mindset! I can highly recommend it! . Today I am thankful for friends and family and for my dad being born in America which meant that on the last Thursday in November, we used to cook Turkey and Corn Bread and Sweet Potato for Thanksgiving, when the rest of the UK was gearing up for Christmas! . And I am thankful for so much this year - in my home life, and in my work and in my business - I have met so many fabulous people and been honoured to capture their photographs - yes I do feel it is an honour to be part of people's journey and transformation - I get to see and capture so much through the eye of the camera. . So I guess most of all I am very thankful that I was able to make some choices a few years ago (over 9 years ago now!) which resulted in me now running a successful Personal Branding and Business photography service and I love every minute of it.. `How are you? Item 5: Start a gratitude journal
This week I am mostly grateful for the opportunity to travel, to meet new people, to eat delicious food, to experience new things, to visit the village schools we were helping but which I only had very vague idea before, and just having time with myself. I remember the tuktuk passing by the Siem Reap river in the Angkor complex and me thinking I probably should raise my arms up high, laugh without care while the wind blows my hair like they do in the movies/reels? Haha. Except that wasn’t me. Me was feeling overwhelmed with emotions, with gratitude that I get to do what I get to do and just wanting to cry. 😭😬 Nobody will understand lol
