"Can you dance?"
Tony looked at Clint and raised his eyebrow. "Can I dance?" he asked. "I can't believe you just asked me that."
He stood and offered his hand to Clint. "Come here. I'll show you how well I can dance."

Ben beamed as his long ears twitch in happiness when Esameralda offered to teach him how to dance . When she asks if he had any dance experience he gave sheepish smile as he answered " I know a little bit but I do know how to sing and play the ocarina."

Dance Lessons (Obey Me!) fic
summary: MC needs help with learning how to dance. So Satan and Asmodeus drag Leviathan along to practice.
characters: Marzena OC/MC, Satan, Asmodeus, Leviathan.
content: casual talk, fluff, dancing lessons, grumpy Levi (lol)
I was all but glaring at my D.D.D. The message stating the annual formal Devildom ball would be in a few weeks. Lucifer stating that I needed to get dancing lessons to prepare for the ball. To which Satan had made it clear he would be the one to teach me so Lucifer might focus on the preparations. With Asmodeus saying that he'd be sure to have Leviathan join us for some practice. Leviathan had been more than vocal on how he didn't need practice. But Lucifer made it clear that Leviathan had no choice.
So I was standing in the music room of the House of Lamentation. Satan looking to Asmodeus as the Avatar of Lust set the vinyl record onto the record player. While Leviathan openly huffed and grumbled next to me. But I soon gave Leviathan a nudge with my elbow for him to yelp. his gaze finding mine as I frowned at him. "Stop whining. The noble demon buttwads will be looking to pick our bones clean if any of us mess up. So we need to get our game faces on for this long ass raid event. You get me?"
Leviathan blinked a few times to then heave out a huge huff of air. Nodding to rub a hand to the back of his neck as the music started. "Yeah. I get you. We already had several of those noble demon families throw their red tape all over Lord Diavolo on even having the ball in the first place. So we need to knuckle down on our raid prep. But I already know how to waltz and stuff. The whole order to practice feels insulting." Asmodeus hums to just give Leviathan a pat on the shoulder. "Now now. Mammon is already getting a lecture later for skipping out on the student council meeting. So we should be on our best behavior to lessen the stress around the house. So let's do our part."
Satan rolled his eyes before he held his hand out to me. Making me blush slightly as I took it. Which had Satan gently pull me forwards so as to sweep me into the proper position. His smile warm and full of contentment as he instructed me on where my feet should be at the start. His hands moving to place my own hands where they needed to rest on his frame. Not leaving me time to linger on the touch to then begin moving his feet. The steps were simple enough at the start of the lesson. But we did get to much harder dances after ten minutes. Meaning I had to give all of my attention to where my feet went and how I moved in time to the music. Asmodeus and Leviathan already dancing in perfect time for me to try and keep up.
The lesson took almost three hours long. Satan being a strict but kind instructor as he guided me around the music room. Until Asmodeus heard the alarm on his phone go off to let Leviathan go and take the needle off the vinyl record. "Okay. That's time. Well done all." Leviathan just cursed to then drop himself onto the floor and lay there like a dead body. "I feel so out of shape after all that... You both are evil sadists... Making us dance for so long... My legs are gonna fall off... Forget going to school tomorrow... I refuse to move for the next two days..."
I agreed completely to feel like my whole body had been turned to lead. Satan taking notice to sweep me off my feet and sit me right next to Leviathan. His sigh one of patient approval to shake his head. "I don't blame you for being mad. But the ball will last for at least six hours. Half of which will need to be spent on the dance floor. If only to keep to formalities and see to all the required dances for posterity sake. I don't like that part much either. Yet it is part of the deal." Asmodeus nodded to sit beside Leviathan on his other side and just kick off his shoes for some relief. The sigh that escaped Asmodeus sounding tired. "Do at least remember we have the option of sitting down between songs. I get we're doing a crash course regiment for Marzena. But I for one would like to make sure I don't fall over dead the second the ball is over with."
I nodded to kick my own shoes off my feet. My groan one of pure agony as Satan sat down to join us. Yet he decided to spoil me by picking up my right foot to start kneading his fingers into the sole of my foot. Having me moan out at the pampering as Satan chuckled. My words weary yet warm. "That feels so good. I vote that when the ball is over, we light our shoes on fire." My comment has Asmodeus openly gasp to exclaim out, "Absolutely not! My shoes are far too nice to do that kind of thing!" Leviathan snickers to suggest, "Then make some shoes for us to wear to the ball. maybe we ask Solomon to charm them so our feet don't hurt as much." Satan thinks on that to then smirk. "Without telling him to charm the shoes for Lucifer." I roll my eyes as I just huff. "Wicked. You are truly a devious scoundrel, love."

“Dancing Across A Fine Line” (A Bakugou x Kirishima Short Story)
TWs: None! It’s pure, tooth-rotting fluff
In one of UA High’s many training rooms, two boys stood facing each other. Bakugou Katsuki, with his spiky blond hair and fierce crimson eyes, exuded an air of aggression and confidence. His classmate, Kirishima Eijiro, sported a mess of vibrant red hair and a perpetual grin that never failed to light up a room, despite his unnervingly sharp teeth.
"Bakugou, why are we here again?" Kirishima asked, his slightly raspy voice filled with curiosity and slight amusement as he bounced on the balls of his feet. The guy never sat still… or shut up. Bakugou could never decide if it was an annoying or cute quality.
"We're here to train, idiot," Bakugou snapped, his irritation evident in his tone. "I told you, we need to work on our agility and balance. Especially you- you’re way too stiff when we spar.”
Kirishima’s smile dimmed for a moment, but quickly recovered. He knew Bakugou wasn’t nearly as mean as he tried to seem. The blond begrudgingly began to go over their rather unconventional training method as Kirishima nodded excitedly. He never thought his friend would agree to this!
"Listen up, spiky-hair. We're going to learn how to dance," Bakugou declared, his voice laden with reluctance. This was a terrible idea, he thought.
"This should be fun!” Kirishima said, practically giddy. Why the hell is he so damn excited? Bakugou wondered.
"No, idiot, this will not be fun,” Bakugou corrected impatiently. “Dancing requires precise movements, coordination, and perfect balance. It'll help improve our footwork and reaction time.” He couldn't quite hide the hint of embarrassment in his voice.
Kirishima's eyes lit up with excitement, choosing again to ignore Bakugou’s annoyance. "Alright, let's do this! I've always wanted to learn how to dance!"
And so, under Bakugou's begrudging guidance, the two boys began their dance training. At first, Bakugou's movements were stiff and rigid, his frustration evident as he impatiently taught Kirishima the steps. But Kirishima, ever the quick learner, picked up the rhythm with ease, his movements quickly evolving from awkward to almost natural. After a few lessons, they were able to keep up with each other, and those short sessions lasted longer each week.
Their classmates- who, at Bakugou’s insistence, were completely oblivious to their secret training sessions- could sense something was different between the two. They were often found together, but now they were practically inseparable. They fought, ate, and studied side by side, and almost seemed to mirror each other’s movements. It was almost as if they were always dancing together now.
As the days turned into weeks, their dance sessions became a regular occurrence, each one bringing them closer together, in a way. Bakugou found himself slowly letting down his guard around Kirishima, his once constant scowl softening into a rare smile whenever they danced together. Kirishima almost didn’t recognize him during their lessons- he seemed so unusually carefree when he danced. Even the insults were less frequent. It was nice.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the training room was bathed in the last few rays of dying sunlight, Bakugou and Kirishima found themselves alone in their secret dance studio.
Something was different. The air was charged with tension as they moved through their routine, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. Faster, faster, the music guiding their movements urged them on. They spun and leapt and bounded across the floor, always moving, always staring each other right in the eye. Silent. Watching. Mirroring each other’s every move, anticipating the next step before it even happened.
And then, as the music finally reached its end, they found themselves almost embracing. The music stopped, and the room was filled with an overwhelming silence.
Neither boy moved.
Bakugou cleared his throat and looked away. Was he… blushing? Impossible, Kirishima thought.
Kirishima's heart pounded in his chest as he waited for Bakugou to move, his eyes never leaving the other’s face.
“Ah… fuck it,” Bakugou muttered, and before Kirishima even had time to react, he grabbed the redhead’s face and pulled him in for a kiss.
Like Bakugou, it was rough, but sweet. Kirishima wasn’t sure just how long they stood there together, their lips locked together in a whole new dance unlike any they’d practiced before.
*******
BONUS:
“So… how much longer do you think they’ll wait to tell us?” Tsu asked with a sly giggle.
“At least another week,” Ururaka ventured a guess. Tsu nodded in agreement.
“I say we just catch them in the act! Then they’d have to confess!” Mina suggested excitedly.
“What in the hell are you extras talking about over there? Your constant babbling is so fucking annoying!” Bakugou griped. He and Kirishima were, as usual, together studying in the common room of the Class 1-A dorms.
The girls quieted down, but couldn’t help but point out to each other with a stifled giggle that the two boys were holding hands.
[END]

Constructive criticism is always welcome! I want to learn how to write better so I always hope for feedback.
I would love to do some requests for short or longer stories, though if I’m not part of a fandom I probably wouldn’t write it. Sorry!

Dance Lessons
So I have like a billion little HotchReid burbles that the amazingly wonderful and endlessly patient @spencersfunkysocks has had to put up with for the last couple of months. So I might start posting some of them here between bigger fics. They're not really edited and just really fast drabbles more than anything super expanded on. If anyone has any interest though, I might elaborate on a few <3 hope you enjoy
Tumblr media
Before they're together. There's this function and Strauss told them they'll all have to play nice. "Hotch. I don't want to do this. I don't even dance." "Alright alright. Calm down. C'mere."
There's a lot of stepped-on toes and a lot of cussing on Reid's part but Hotch just grins and tells him it's alright. Take a breath and they'll take it from the top. "I'll take you from the top" Hotch's mouth gets the better of him. "I think we both know that's not true"
He misses his next step and ends up stepping on Reods foot. "Oh my God. I am… so sorry." And he's pulling away as quickly as he can cause ooops. But Reid is biting his lip. "You know. I've seen others dancing. Usually, it's a little more…" and he's pulling Hotch a bit closer, putting his head on his shoulder and they both relax into it.
The song ends but they're still spinning slowly. When Reid tilts his head back, Hotch is already looking at him. "If you want me to stop…" Reid just shakes his head and leans into the kiss, letting himself be crowded back onto Hotch's desk.
It's very smiley and soft and Reid is chuckling a little. "You know for someone who's pretty good on your feet, your hands get a bit clumsy when you're nervous," "Reid not now"
Reid makes a smug sound and only pulls Hotch a bit closer.
"So still thinking about skipping the event?" Hotch asks with a smile. "Would be easier to go with a date," Reid asks, and there's a sudden hesitation there that… well. That won't do. So Hotch leans in and kisses the corner of his mouth. "Would you like to go with me this weekend?" "As long as you don't mind having a crap dance partner." Spencer smiles a little. "You'll catch on. We can practice." Author's note: They don't practice. Not even a little bit.
By the time Hotch proposes 2 years later, Reid is a fantastic dancer. But they're dancing at another event when Hotch asks and Reid missteps and lands on Hotch's foot, only making Hotch laugh.
"It's been 18 months since you've stepped on my foot…" "20 months, 1 week and 3…. that doesn't. Yes." He's got his face buried into Hotch's neck grinning like mad.

Alright, I'm shy and socially awkward as a geek. Did I ever dance like this? Of course not.
So I Brought the subject up with my sister. She said she couldn't speak, while I was too shy to get started even though I knew the choreography.
We're pretty sure it goes down to our mom trying to do the moves and "threatening" to do it in front of friends. We were able to narrow it down to my mom trying to aerobics on the stairs (dangerous) and attempted to kick like me (I was trained on high kicks when I was itty bitty).
Let's get back to awkward nerd self me. I have no prob raising my arms and swinging them to Carlos Santana played by street artists and cheering for the musicians. That's what my sister has a problem with.
Gonna keep working my 👩‍🦼 self to sway and smile.
