This is a great starting point to help your youngsters with the basics of number. You are provided with one ladybird and a set of 10 numbers (1 to 10). Also 10 wooden 10mm balls to place into the holes of the ladybird to show the number of the ladybird's face.
Each tile is 3cm in diameter and fits smoothly into the grid hole. Also on the outside are finger holes to pull the tiles back out.
The ladybird is 85mm by 100mm high and 4mm thick.
This is a great activity for also helping the child understand the principles of odd and even numbers, as the dots are symmetrical about the centre of the body.

The Importance of Reading Worksheets and Comprehension Passages for Kids
Introduction
In today’s fast-paced digital world, where screens dominate our lives, fostering a love for reading in children has become more important than ever. Reading not only enhances language skills but also stimulates imagination, promotes critical thinking, and broadens knowledge. One effective tool in developing these abilities is the use of reading worksheets and comprehension passages. These resources provide children with structured exercises that encourage active reading, comprehension, and engagement. This article explores the significant benefits of incorporating reading worksheets and comprehension passages into a child’s learning journey.
Enhancing Reading Skills
Tumblr media
2. Promoting Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is an invaluable skill that empowers children to analyze, evaluate, and interpret information effectively. Reading worksheets and comprehension passages encourage critical thinking by challenging children to delve deeper into the text. By asking thoughtful questions and prompting reflection, these resources prompt children to analyze characters, infer motives, and make connections between different ideas. The process of solving problems, drawing conclusions, and forming opinions strengthens children’s ability to think critically, ultimately benefiting their academic and personal lives.
3. Developing Vocabulary and Language Skills
Expanding a child’s vocabulary is essential for effective communication and comprehension. Reading worksheets and comprehension passages expose children to a diverse range of words and phrases, helping them build their vocabulary. These resources often incorporate contextual clues and exercises that encourage children to infer word meanings, fostering independent learning. By repeatedly encountering new words in various contexts, children develop a strong foundation in language skills, enabling them to express themselves eloquently and comprehend complex texts.
4.Fostering Comprehension and Retention
Tumblr media
5. Cultivating a Love for Reading
Perhaps the most significant advantage of reading worksheets and comprehension passages is their potential to ignite a love for reading in children. When presented with engaging and age-appropriate texts, children can explore various genres, discover new worlds, and develop a genuine enthusiasm for reading. As they experience the joy of immersing themselves in stories and information, their motivation to read independently grows. This love for reading extends beyond the confines of worksheets, encouraging children to explore books, literature, and other forms of written material.
Conclusion
Reading worksheets and comprehension passages serve as invaluable tools in nurturing vital skills, such as reading proficiency, critical thinking, vocabulary development, and comprehension. By actively engaging children in the reading process, these resources enhance their overall cognitive abilities and foster a lifelong love for reading. Incorporating reading worksheets and comprehension passages into a child’s learning routine can pave the way for academic success, improved communication skills, and a well-rounded personality. Let us embrace these resources as an essential part of a child’s educational journey, guiding them toward a future filled with knowledge, imagination, and endless possibilities.

Psychological Effect of Divorce on Children
Some underlying real life experiences of behavioural problems on children after divorce of parents:
Hi! I’m Akiera, owner of Soulfulaj, I would like to share my real story after the divorce of my parents. -- Before all these events in my life, I was someone who was isolated in the house. This type of isolation may also have been the cause of problems. I was not even allowed to ride public transport without a nanny following me around, observing every move I make and scolds me whenever I do something.. rebellious. So, when I did travel all by my own, it was a whole new experience and I got addicted to the independence that came with it however, I neglected my grandmother who didn’t want me out and about that way.
On the other hand, my mum was in the UK married to my now step-father and had my baby sister a year and two months later they got married. That sounds about decent but for me, in my case I felt like I was being left out in the Philippines as it seemed like my mum was starting a new family without me. I was naive and a child who spent her fifteen years of life without any siblings until one day, became a sister.
I don’t think it was coincidental that I had my first boyfriend, Rick, after the marriage between my mum and step-dad. I still do not know how to tell the relationship I had with him because every time I told him I was hurt, he always blamed it on me. I would need a whole TV show for me to be able to articulate his manipulation and would need a psychology degree and eye witnesses like my best friends Joy, Angelo and Marivic or our mutual friend Stephanie. If you ask me, it was almost domestic abuse and sometimes physical abuse. I never told his parents even when I was close to his mum, I didn’t even tell his mum that time he pushed me to a big rock in the neighbourhood, hurt myself in the head and bled. I never even told my family until now, I guess. I was the type who wanted to make everything under my control so I didn’t want anyone to intervene and do something out of my control.
"In the first years following the divorce, it could be because they do not feel stable in their home situation.
In line with this comes increased vulnerabilities for risk-taking behaviours. Particularly in the adolescent period, children with divorced parents have been known to engage in sexual activity, drink alcohol, and experiment with drugs earlier than their peers. A higher number of sexual partners during adolescence is also associated with separation from fathers early in childhood." - Credits to the owner, Qredible

“How your child treats you will not determine how they treat the rest of the world. Instead, how you treat your child will determine how they treat the rest of the world and themselves.” J. Milburn⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ We are their safe place. Children don’t typically act the same with other authority figures, as they do with their parents. There is a connection and trust there that allows them to feel safe enough to crumble into our arms. They throw dirt at us because they know we are the only one’s who care to know what’s hidden in the debris. Disrespectful behaviour is usually misunderstood behaviour. It’s usually communication. It’s not a character defining moment when your child is emotionally dysregulated. We all become dysregulated at times. It’s important to normalize those feelings and model how to process emotions and offer grace. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I discuss this further in my latest e-book 👇⁣⁣ ⁣ Finding Your Calm: A Responsive Parents Guide to Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation⁣ ⁣ Link in bio @responsive_parenting or on the Website: responsiveparentinginspirations.com⁣ ⁣ #ResponsiveParenting #JMilburn #ParentMentalHealth #MaternalMentalHealth #PostPartum #MensMentalHealth #ParentingLife #HealingJourney #GentleParenting #AttachmentParenting #Attachment #AttachmentTheory #Parenthood #SelfHealing #SelfCompassion #EarlyChildhood #ChildDevelopment #PTSD #CPTSD #ChildhoodMemories #Triggers #HoldingSpace #SelfRegulation #Empathy #UnconditionalLove #Parent #KidLife #AlwaysLearning #PTSDAwareness https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg2Zz38p298/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Imagine living in a religious household where every emotion you expressed (as a young child / teen) was attributed to you having a particular "spirit" or the "devil using you".
Can you imagine the kind of damage hat does to a person's ability to identify, express, deal and cope with emotions?
Do you realize how much shame and damage you place upon a child for simply doing what comes natural to humans?
No clue.

The Importance of Sleep in Child Development
Children who get too little sleep can have behavioral problems and might struggle in school. However, there's also evidence that suggests kids who don't get enough sleep may be at risk for health problems later in life. For example, one study of nearly 2,000 people found that those who slept less than six hours per night had an increased risk of death from heart disease over the next 14 years compared to those who slept seven hours per night. Another study found that children who reported sleeping less than nine hours per night had lower mind development and neurocognitive improvement levels than those who got more shut-eye each night.

Parents are the most effective individuals to work with their children as they spend the most time with them, contrasting with therapists who only see them for limited hours per week. It's essential to shift parents' mindset to understand their potential impact on their children's development, especially amidst situations like the COVID-19 pandemic where remote therapy requires parents to be more involved. Empowering parents involves helping them see situations from their child's perspective, fostering collaboration rather than confrontation, and guiding problem-solving processes.
