I think Deku has a bit of a mean streak, actually. he’s no Bakugou—that’s for sure—but he’s not this innocent, sweet angel baby that the media has painted him out to be. but you only catch it when you least expect it, when you’re pushing his nerves, when the stakes to everything around him are high, when he’s tired of endless sleepless nights and just—snaps.

“Oh?” you go, grin unfurling like some grinch, chin resting on your hands as you leer at him from across his expansive desk. “You’re mean.” your words are teasing, a snarl that curls your mouth up. Deku stutters, eyes going wide, jaw snapping shut in surprise as he tries to think back on how rude he just sounded.

“No, I’m not—I mean, you wouldn’t stop and I just—there’s a lot on my plate right now—and you just—you keep on—I’m not—I’m not mean.” He’s sputtering, hands all over the place, the glasses perched on the bridge of his nose falling even lower with how he jabbers on and on. it’s endearing really, to see how he tries to upkeep his image of being so kind and understanding, even though his nostrils just flared at you. and his eyebrows turned down and he gritted at you, his hands were balled into fists, his words were so nasty, so ugly, so unbecoming for Deku.

you liked it. loved it even—vowed to get him like this every single fucking second that you could.

you pick and poke at him whenever you see him, teasing him and pulling at him. pushing him around even though the hero is so much stronger than you, so much bigger. and he lets you, tries to defend himself but—that’s not what you want. you want the ugliness, the snark, the mean.

he snaps, eventually, when you least expect it. grabs you up in black whip when you go to push him against the wall for the third time in only a minute, his eyes suddenly dark, the aura of the room suddenly charged.

“That’s what I was looking for.” you whisper to him, the grin spreading your face quickly dissipating in only seconds when you become the prey. when you become the one pushed up against the wall with teeth at your neck, a hand in your underwear, bullying your hole with too thick fingers.

“Why do you want me to act like this? Be so mean to you, huh?” he sounds so frustrated with himself, with you, growling and nipping and licking when you don’t answer quick enough. but your breath is caught in your lungs because finally—finally, did you get what you wanted. it just took a little bit of pushing, you suppose.

My whole adult life I’ve had to listen to my dear mother defend bosses who deprioritize employees who doesn’t have children or partners because “It’s more important that they get to have holidays/vacations/free time together so childless singles will just have to move over and be grateful for the scraps” but oh ho ho how the turns have tabled now that she’s a senior with no husband and no stay-at-home children and suddenly she’s the one who has to put up with shitty hours. Like she told her boss “I might not have any family at home but I still have a family! And friends! I have a life outside of work even if it isn’t in my house! I want to be able to see them too!”

Don’t we all. Don’t we all, oh dear mother.

But for real, if you have that attitude now, remember some day you’ll be the childless single again. It has to be a give and take where sometimes you get your way but other times you have to make sacrifices. Heck, once I got into a fight with a coworker who had a child because I couldn’t take her shift because I had to look after a family member’s children. Apparently she couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that just because I didn’t have children of my own that didn’t mean I was free to do whatever. I don’t know anyone my age who have zero responsibilities outside of work so while I fully understand that people have to be able to pick up their children after school or kindergarten it’s naive to assume childless or partnerless people just party after work as if they were still in their early 20’s.

(Also, I’m going to judge the hell out of you and especially your partner if I find out your partner could have picked your kids up but made it your job. I once found out a coworker could never take the morning shift because she made her perfectly capable partner’s lunch every morning and you better believe I stopped being nice about it)

I don't think I really have any really solid headcanons and also canon keeps validating me left and right (FLUFFY DOMESTIC DIAFAM IS REAL). mostly just kind of...impressions and general thoughts, if that makes sense! lately though I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about Lilia's hair, and specifically when/why he ended up cutting it. (l-look, we're bouncing around the timeline and I gotta make decisions about these things when I draw, it's relevant) (I mean I would probably be weirdly fixated on this anyway, but.)

I think I've settled on the idea that he kept it long until he went to NRC, partly because 1) I like drawing The Ponytail, and 2) I think he thought of NRC as a chance to reinvent himself a bit! he gets to go and be a wacky carefree teenager for a few years and have fun! (officially he's there to keep an eye on Son #1, but how much trouble could he get into, really.) so he gave himself a Cool Teen Haircut to go with his fresh new Cool Teen Persona!

also maybe he had some reflection on his hair's troubled past with three kids...

...and had to weigh his vanity versus the fact that he was going off to be around hundreds of kids on a daily basis, and. the choice suddenly seemed obvious.

More possession stuff ^^

Sorry to all Lloyd fans but I couldn’t resist doing Kai and Morro, I love their parallels too much.

My interpretation of how a "Morro possesses Kai au" would be:

At first it's the usual possession but it's very violent since Kai has a bad temper. Morro agressively possesses him and breaks into Kai’s memories against his will.

But Kai is stubborn and angry and doesn't let Morro hurt Lloyd. So after the fight Morro digs deeper into Kai’s memories to see what he can use against him.

Morro finds himself relating to Kai and tries to manipulate him to betray the ninja and work with him (going as far as to showing Kai his memories)

Kai still refuses to hurt the ninja and shifts the narrative "why go after Lloyd when you can go after Wu?".

Kai basically learnt what Wu did to Morro and him and gets angry and wants to get revenge on him.

Morro is conflicted into what Wu did and his love for his only father figure. But Kai is also conflicted because on one side he relates to Morro but on the other Morro tried to use his body to hurt Lloyd. In the end I think Kai would choose his anger towards Wu and try to convince Morro even if he has to do so by manipulating him because as much as he's empathetic, he knows he can’t save Morro, and can’t get easily over the fact he wanted to harm Lloyd.

It would be interesting that at some point Morro had to fight Kai because he wanted to attack Wu and the ninja of course misinterpret it and still think of Morro as a villain.

To sum up they'd try to manipulate each other and end up exhausted from fighting the possession.

I love exploring the duality of broken villains.

i love the kirkwall squad because they all have such protagonist energy. any of them could be the main character. except for varric but he did that on purpose. any of the rest of them could be the main character

Chilchuck analysis speedrun: As a hardworking half-foot who grew up poor and discriminated against and had his gullibility taken advantage of multiple times in his early adventuring days, Chilchuck thinks optimism is a dangerous flaw. He’s stressed and strict all the time because his job is noticing details like traps that could get everyone killed before anyone knows it, he takes the lives of everyone to be on his shoulders, and with the way he speaks about it that probably partly reflects how he felt about taking it upon himself to provide for his family too. His life’s always been pretty centered around work and has become even moreso now that his wife left and everyone is independent, and due to past events he’s very iffy with bonding with coworkers. He thinks feelings and job are a disaster mix. Like with his wife or with parties hiring him as sacrifice, being open or having good faith is vulnerability which can get you hurt, so he processes and shows all his stress as anger instead of worry. Doing strict dieting probably isn’t helping the irritability what with hunger, and on top of being a hunger suppressant alcohol might be the main stress reliever he has.
