There’s genuinely been such much ableism directed at Tubbo these past few days it’s been hard to deal with, just completely open ableist remarks with /rp at then end or I love ccTubbo but… Constant remarks of him not following social ques, being too loud, having issues with tone, mocking him for having trouble reading the signs, saying that he’s neglecting Sunny because he’s not emotionally aware, ect. It sucks, I don’t like having to see so much of the fandom be openly ableist, why can’t people just be normal able disabled people of any kind. Also saying Tubbo shouldn’t rant about his interests because it ruins your immersion is just horrible and you all know it.

after talking with other people i feel like there really is a disconnect between everyone who has other povs they still have left and everyone who just lost all of their povs (the french)/lost most of their pov's lore (bbh with dapper and pomme). like everyone is stressed and some people are making jokes and i get it i really do i like humor in dark situations, but like... this is the worst case scenario that's happened for everyone who did lose everything. pomme said she wasn't coming back to the server and the french cc all said they wouldn't be coming back if she didn't. i don't feel like joking right now. this situation isn't like the previous two cc who were removed for their own actions, this one was because the studio didn't attempt anything to try to retain a whole language after frequent year-long workplace abuse. this doesn't feel like goofy lore drama anymore it's like, wow we really did lose everything. all because nobody in the upper staff knew how to dm an admin. i wish them well is a nice sentiment and all but i feel a little bit callous to it when the reason they're leaving is that no one talked to them. it was all preventable. no shit sherlock of course i'm upset and my posts reflect that. i wish every post i made being critical of this didn't come across like doomposting. even if qsmp recovers all of the parts i loved most got uselessly cut off in the process. there's not much left i can go back to. even if they replaced pomme's actor there's not going to be cc to come back for that. there's just going to be a hole in the server now when i watch. i feel like i'm going through every stage of grief. i don't want the server to burn down, i'd love to see it continue, but i'd be lying if i said i wasn't terribly bitter about everything.

and I just can’t stop thinking about how. fuckinggg. okay, you run a multilingual minecraft server, first EVER multilingual minecraft server, yeah? french is one of the languages on this server. you currently have One french admin and she has been unwhitelisted from the server and stripped of all her roles on the discord with no explanation (apparently due to some sort of unspecified investigation, whatever) and ALL of your french players have told you that if she is not given her job back they will be leaving the server, aka you will be losing representation for an ENTIRE LANGUAGE on your multilingual server. and somehow one of your priorities isn’t like… making sure that she’s being communicated with properly ? ?? like if she’s really being investigated for something I get it, you don’t have to add her back right away, you don’t have to promise her that she’ll get her job back, just like…. at least make sure she’s not just being COMPLETELY IGNORED?? like this is a whole entire language on your multilingual server hanging in the balance and yet somehow this admin went THREE WEEKS without being told squat about her job (even though she was regularly checking in for information), to the point where she got so sick of being ghosted that she quit ?? LIKE WHAT ON EARTH WERE YOU PRIORITIZING OVER MAKING SURE THAT EXACT THING DOES NOT HAPPEN ????

okay actually here's my one thing. i understand that any collaborative project involves compromise, and that that is necessary for everyone to cooperate and get something out of the project. however. i am not a utopian. i think if anyone in a project is unhappy, something about it needs to be reworked if you want that person to stay. and if multiple people are having issues, you need to rethink what you're doing and actually communicate with everyone involved to figure out what they want out of the project. even if they can't have everything, they should still be able to have some kind of satisfaction in what's going on. compromise ought to go both ways, and at the moment, that's not what's happening. it's clear the focus is on growth and not quality. sacrificing active, interested players in service of possible or future active players shafts you in both the short and long run. it does not make for good storytelling or gameplay. and i just find it confusing because for a long time things were working for more people and players themselves had plans on how to include newer players, but now strides at being made to make things driven entirely by the larger narrative (which, imo, still does not make sense) rather than by players/characters. they want players to react to what they throw at them rather than creating something for themselves. and it's fine for that style for storytelling to work for some people, but it does not work for everyone, and assuming that it does is further miscommunication. and im really confounded about where this went wrong and why they keep having this issue

i really cant stress enough how much i love when qsmp allows for player innovation. my favorite has still been when everything was designed for etoiles to be the only one to beat the code and its OP sword, but then bad designed a backpack with auto-refill and magnets to allow a weapon to always be in his hand. and it worked, while not compromising the story in any way.

i really hope that players continue to come up with ways to beat the eye workers after this. i hope that the egg carton works well, and any nerf the admins find for it is either justifiable in story, or due to bad's own failing. it makes watching qsmp so much more entertaining, because the stakes feel a lot more real! and when the players fail, it's ten times more devastating.

OOOH... i kind of didnt believe you guys when you were like 'mcd has so many plot holes' because i didnt remember them (read: i didnt have a frontal lobe) but like.... the plot holes man.

like exhibit a of what im currently up to: how the hell does garroth stay alive for the span of MULTIPLE EPISODES (tended to a doctor or not- the doctor cant fully heal him, its the whole plot point for aph in brightport) but brenden needed the herbs RIGHT AWAY or else he would literally die.

Ngl I’m actually super worried about the qsmp hitting a burnout phase Really soon because so much is happening all of the time now but with so little payoff that the audience feels unfulfilled and unsatisfied. Everything is going So Fast with so few breaks that even the cool stuff can’t hit very hard because you have something bigger and cooler literal days later now as compared to the week or so between important discoveries over the summer.

Like we went from absolutely NOTHING main plot-wise for two months (because the players couldn’t influence the plot and so everything was put on hold) and then BAM purgatory BAM egg return BAM Evil Cucurucho BAM Federation Streams BAM purgatory 2 like? The audience can’t absorb any of the information they’re being given because, A, the information is being given by characters the audience couldn’t care less about (because, again, the players can’t influence the story anymore it seems) and, B, because we’re getting so much information at once that none of it seems important at all and, C, because missing a Lore Stream means you’re so behind on information that it’s barely worth trying to catch up anymore.

If you miss one Federation Stream these days, you miss legitimately all the important story because the story isn’t being told through the player characters anymore. If you choose to watch a pov on the server that isn’t watching the Fed Stream, then you’re missing crucial information. These streams aren’t recapped like the players’ streams, either, so if you miss one, whoops! Time to vod watch! Unless you can’t for whatever reason, then it’s tough luck.

Every day is a new important revelation as shown by the Feds on stream and it’s gotten to the point where it’s getting to be like, what’s the point? What’s the point of even trying to pay attention to the server if the characters we care about aren’t participating in the story anymore because they can’t (think of how MONTHS were spent building up to rescuing the eggs from Purgatory, but in the end it was an NPC that saved the eggs and not their parents.) Or, if our favs are having a Lore, what’s the point of trying to like it if the Lore is going to be immediately postponed or canceled due to the Main Lore (think of Cellbit and Roier’s stories that got interrupted for Purgatory and might never get to continue as intended.)

This is where burnout comes in. With no incentive to watch the server, less people are going to want to watch. Especially now that the streamers aren’t doing anything with the story anymore and some aren’t even allowed to log onto the server anymore until the admins tell them they can because of the Main Lore, there’s no reason to watch. All this Huge Lore is coming from NPCs now, and it’s coming so fast that people can’t keep up. And, when the story gets too fast, people stop paying attention.

Bagi is not a masculine character, I’ve noticed a trend where fandom tends to depict her as way more masculine leaning then she is (similarly Pac in the opposite direction) to fulfill this need to have her and Tina take up a very traditional straight relationship. Bagi is way more feminine leaning than masculine, though I would argue the closet read is her presenting androgynously. It feels that people have taken stereotypes about a traditional straight relationship and have molded her and Tina to fit those relationships.

Bagi’s intelligence being heightened, treated as less something that also regards emotional intelligence to fully be puzzle centric. While Tina is depicted as way more clumsy, and often times just eye candy for Bagi, when Tina is a very competent planner and resource management both things you need to be incredibly intelligent for. Tina is drawn as small and frail, while Bagi has focus on her muscles and a more square build.

Anyone can have these traits regardless of gender, but it seems so pointed how people have squashed and stretched Bagi and Tina’s character traits to fit more traditional standards. It’s the placement of Tina as Bagi’s prize, this making her useless and even at times making her more motherly than Bagi, that feels so off to me. It’s this you see Bagi as too intelligent to see her in any feminine way.

Tina can’t cook, clean, and she’s not good with children, while Bagi owns a farm cooks all the time, and wants to have so many kids to raise. Straight up ignoring these traits because Tina’s into clothes and has a softer voice, feels kinda gross. This attitude towards womenhood as something that can not be breached by perceived masculinity, which inherently is a statement of how people think womenhood is just looking pretty. Tina is feminine that’s how she chooses to present, and Bagi is more androgynous but people can’t have a relationship like that. Tina needs to be the girl, and Bagi needs to be the guy.

Don’t you think it’s much more engaging to think of gender as an incredibly complicated thing, that can be presented and follow in many different ways. To think relationships don’t need someone to be the man, and instead can just be two people who love each other. That Bagi and Tina are complicated people who don’t just exists to fill stereotypes you have given them.

maybe controversial opinion. idk. but i don’t understand people who complain about evo in the traffic series and say it “should stay fanon and not canon”. because uh. it is canon. it’s been canon since i believe last life. martyn has canonized it to his character for multiple seasons now. evo/watchers isn’t fanon or semi-canon, it’s straight up heavily important to martyn’s lore and character

i said i wouldn't doompost anymore but i guess what's so awful about this situation is that it just reinforced how expendable the french fanbase was and how like. the french cc weren't worth it to retain. or that bbh's entire storyline didn't matter enough to try and save things. like everything about this is a worst case scenario for me. i don't have other povs i can go to left. i don't think dapper or pomme are coming back. i guess it's a little silly but i just feel a bit used. and maybe a little gullible for thinking they were trying to work with the admins, like at all.
