just finished the voyagers pathways novel today and the tuvok/t’pel crumbs are so T^T KAHDKSJFLDJF ♡♡♡♡ the pon farr moment where he says “what if i don’t know what to do” and then immediately afterwards says he needn’t have worried KAHDKDJF THEY ARE SO IN LOVE LIKE IMMEDIATELY!!!! i love them so much.

and neurodivergent tuvok talking about fish bowls in his stomach … yeah so true

AAAAA I love that novel (I only read the Tuvok parts~) it gives me so much Tuvok characterization to pick through...whoever wrote that was so funny to decide that Tuvok's parents straight up never told him ANYTHING about Pon Farr. The scene where the old priestess is trying to delicately tell him he has the sex fever and Tuvok being like "???? what's that??" is hilarious to m e. The fact that the SECOND he sees T'Pel he's like "I love her. She's the most beautiful person I've ever seen. I want her. I have to have her. I have to be her." is also great to me...AND in both show canon & the book canon the fact he gives up on pursuing becoming a monk in order to be with T'Pel is sweet to me. (I imagine he /could/ have gone back to the temple after his pon farr passed and that's canon to ME bc I personally enjoy thinking that) It's the thing he wanted most in the world since he was a small child and he had it and he loved it but then he meets T'Pel and his priorities shift. He wants to pursue a life by her side now <3

My second favorite exchange is the one between Tuvok and his mom where she tells him to get up - he says he's awake and she says I Didn't Ask Thee To Wake I Told Thee To Rise or something like that and he JUMPS out of bed ...HEHEHE it's cute. It reminds me of my own mom waking me up for school. Tuvok & T'Pel interactions are minimal but still it's a feast compared to canon...him complaining about how their kids are behaving badly to her and then turning to see what she thinks and she's dead asleep bc she just gave birth and him co nsidering WAKING HER UP before he's like "Hmm...wait a minute...maybe not." YE AH TUVOK. MAYBE NOT. Hhehehe...when you want to talk to your wife so bad <3 His Sons: -dicking around- Tuvok: That's It. Pack your bags. You're going to the temple. =_= (Scared Straight Theme Plays) M'Fau: -head in hands- go eat some fucking cake with your sons and maybe you'll calm down. Tuvok saying "This is absolutely unacceptable...I /NEVER/ acted like this..." when in canon he literally got disowned by his dad as a teenager is funny but also correct. I can 100% believe that Tuvok would say he never acted Like That when he acted even worse. ALSO YES YES YES Tuvok's neurodivergent swag is off the charts...him like having a panic attack/meltdown when his parents say he's too passionate about that one thing and thus can't pursue it. His ideal life being one of quiet and consistent routine which he adheres to even more strictly than others of the same discipline (the fact this annoys him bc they're not doing it 'right')...his reaction to Sophie crying:

I love him so much. Something so relatable about that scene in particular and how it's written. He himself has big feelings but doesn't know how to react to the feelings of others. It doesn't translate for him~<3 Anyway this ask made me v happy bc I love talking about Tuvok and also T'Pel so here's a bonus lil doodle of that scene you mentioned which also made me laugh~!!

In all this conversation I do think we need to pause for a second and acknowledge that Jayce himself as a kid had a lot of puppy fat on his face

(because he's looking up in this image it's actually giving him more jaw than he does in most shots)

So I think they don't actually wonder where this chunky pup came from seeing those genes have people to point to on both sides. It's the nurses at the hospital who are wondering how these pretty lean people (Jayce is big(ish) but he's toned muscle) created such a round big baby.

Also look I do really like Jayce's kids taking after him in terms of being all puppy fat as a kid and then toning down as an adult.

Basically yes she's definitively the chunky huge baby that Viktor started to think he might have made a mistake around the 6 month mark of the pregnancy.

(The flipside of this is poor Ximena desperately trying to fatten Naph up while the other side of the family is like "he's got the scrawny genes trust us no matter what you do he isn't getting any plumper. People kept thinking Claggor was stealing Mylo's food when they were pups.").

Summary: You're an author (you go by anon), and one day you ate a devil fruit. Now you can trap people inside your novels. (I think you BSD fans know where I'm going...) The straw hats found you and decided to invite you. (You said yes...cuz that's literally what this story is abt and cuz u were bored).

You live on a small island somewhere in the new world. You work as an author who goes by the pen name "S".

Usually, pirates would come to your island twice a month. The townsfolk were very friendly and you sometimes stepped in when pirates crossed over the line.

One day, you and your friend were hanging out in a small secluded alleyway. Your back was against the only entrance and you were facing your friend who was already opening the mystery novel.

"Good luck," you had said.

Your friend only nodded. Bright yellow light surrounded the both of you. When the light finally disappeared, your friend was gone, and the closed book fell to the ground. You picked it up and turned around, ready to leave the alleyway.

Your eyes locked in with a black one. A 5'11 man with a straw hat was staring right at you with mouth agape from amazement.

Your eyes widened, and you were about to open the book facing his way. But his arm suddenly stretched and took your book before you could open it.

"COOL!!! How did you do that?!" The guy wearing the straw hat asked.

"Shh, don't be too loud or the others will catch us," you walked towards the man, "they don't know about my ability. And I would like to keep it that way."

You took the book from the stranger's hand and walked away. The rubber man beside you said, "That's an awesome ability. How about you join my crew?"

You stop walking and look right into his eyes. "Crew? I don't know anything about you and would like to keep it that way."

The man only smiled back and responded, "Is information all you want? Well then, I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and I will be the king of the Pirates!" He raised both of his hands and made a fist. All this while smiling.

"King of the pirates? Don't make me laugh. Plus, I decided to live here for all my life."

"Really?? But don't you want to go on an adventure? I and my crew always go on fun adventures. You will never be bored!"

Before I could say anything back, a woman with long orange hair came up to me and Luffy.

"There you are! We're gonna leave in 2 days. Next time don't dash away and wait for us, Luffy!" The tangerine girl said.

The girl who was scolding Luffy finally noticed me and apologized. She then introduced herself and dragged Luffy by the ear. I watched the scene until they vanished into the crowd and walked off. I hope that my friend is almost done with the book.

I went to different places for inspiration. Being a mystery writer was no easy task. Especially if you only have a limited view. The sun was almost setting, and my friend was still stuck. My new story really did a poll on them.

I walked into Naty's bar and ordered a drink. Luffy's sentence rang into my head. An adventure? I wonder what it'll be like...My books had always sailed the sea, but shouldn't the author, too? No. Being a pirate is dangerous. My view may be limited, but my mind is not.

As long as I have a paper and pen, I can do anything...is what I would like to say. I took a few berries, placed them on the counter, and left the bar. Today took a sour turn.

I've done the Microsoft Paint math and I think you're right, Anon. I'd put Haytham at 5'11" while Shay is maybe 6'1".
