Do you ever think about the fact that the memories of all the Assassin's Creed characters are passed down genetically, meaning once they have kids the data basically stops? Which is why Haytham's sequence in AC3 ends IMMEDIATELY after his fling with Ziio?

And not only that, but the secret ending cutscene in Black Flag? At the opera house? That couldn't have been from Edward's perspective. Assuming we're seeing it through the Animus, it wouldn't make sense for that to exist in his DNA record-- all his children were already born. Which would mean that scene wasn't part of Edward's data. That was Haytham's memory.

Yeah I think about it a lot.

Day 8: Discovery

“Hey, he’s your ancestor too. Why don’t you hop in the animus?”

Desmond and William’s fight after the discovery of Haytham being a templar just sickens me in the best way possible. Desmond is so tired and wants to just live for himself for once, and William can’t see beyond the bigger picture. It definitely feels like intentional parallels between Ratonhnhaké:ton and Haytham’s story, though Desmond and William do ultimately find some sort of a resolution (I still don’t like William though).
