the lost and the forgotten
Stiles Stilinski x Reader
A/N: Whew, it’s been a while but I had to hop on to write this short scene that was inspired by the series Teen Wolf season 6 episode 1, but I made some changes in it to spice it up a little if you don’t mind :3 The idea was proposed by @newtkyloskywalkerstiliski which in my opinion was an amazing one! I’m sorry for keeping you waiting but I hope this is what you’ve hoped for! Thank you for your patience!
Tumblr media
Both your hairs were ruffled up, but you had bigger problems. Perhaps that the ghost riders were still chasing you? Or the fact that Stiles might get kidnapped by them? Or maybe the fear of forgetting someone you held so dearly close to your heart? He kept stealing glances at you, ‘why did I bring her along?’
Your mind was occupied with the thought of losing him, that you didn’t even realize the fear in his eyes. He kept driving while you were thinking of ways to avoid such a situation.
“Y/N, I-“
“I’m not losing you, Stiles!” Your voice was hoarse yet firm, the thought of losing him terrified you. You were willing to put your own life on the line just to save his. Your panting stopped for a while, your eyes studying his, but him quickly moving his gaze back to the road. He seemed to have already made up his mind, causing you to feel more uneasy.
Letting out a deep breath, he asked “Are they still following us?” You turned your head to see them getting closer by the second. He didn’t need an answer, your expression showed it all.
He sighed, his breathing unsteady and his actions hesitant.
“What are you doing?” He raised his hand up to the keyhole in his jeep, “Stiles,” and turned the engine off. “Stiles, what are you doing?” The panic in your voice raised as he released the key.
“Y/N, There’s no point in stressing it. I-“
“Stiles, There is a way, I swear. I promise there’s a way, we just have to look hard enough. I’m not forgetting you. I won’t forget you. I won’t let you go like this-“ Your hands desperately searched his, yearning his comfort, your muscles tensed up, eyes stinging. “Just, please. Stiles?”
He studied the sadness in your eyes but felt hopeless in trying to comfort you. He didn’t have the power to. “Y/N,”
“Please, Stiles.” Your words came out as an unsteady whisper.
He hesitatingly released his hands from your grip, knowing you would get hurt either way. It was his responsibility to make a decision, even if it meant losing one another. His hands reached your cheeks, wiping the tears that escaped your eyes a while ago.
“Look, I’m going to be erased, okay? Just like Alex, you’re gonna forget me,” He winced at his own words, realizing what he’s putting himself into.
“You have to try to find some way to remember me, okay? Remember how you were the first girl I ever danced with? Or how I had a crush on you freshman year? Sophomore year? Junior year?” He paused as you continued focusing every inch of your attention towards him. “Remember how you saved my life?”
“Stiles,” Wanting to prove a point, but having no words, you only stared. He brought your head closer to his, making your forehead lean against each other. “Just remember,” You shut your eyes, savoring this moment while it lasts, being well aware that when he lets you go, everything would be forgotten.
“Just remember, I love you.”
Your eyes shot open by his sudden words -- the words he would always tell you, but you never returned.
And probably never will; because he was gone.

Lies Between Ties || Part I ||
(Draco Malfoy x Fem!Reader)
Summary : Y/N and Draco caught themselves in an arranged marriage by their parents, they both try and act like a happy married couple infront of their families, when in reality they made an agreement to not cross each other’s space and treat each other as ‘roommates’. What happens when one unknowingly gains feelings?
Warnings : No War/Voldemort!AU, Arranged Marriage, Slowburn, Unrequited Love (?), Angst, Arguing, slight cursing.
Tumblr media
Your eyes widen in shock, not believing what the woman you respected all your life had just said. You scoffed in disbelief as your mother puts her welcoming hand on yours in comfort. “Very funny, Mama.”
She frowned, holding back a smile. “Y/N, this is not a joke, I think it’s for the best if you marry him, Narcissa-”
“I know she’s your friend, Mama. But I don’t even know him, we’ve never exchanged a conversation, and it’s best if we keep it that way.” You got up ready to leave the conversation. Unfortunately, your mother grabbed your wrist softly before you could do so.
“Please don’t say that, Mama. I would want to get married but not anytime soon. I’ve only just graduated Hogwarts, and who’s going to take care of you?”
“Your stepfather is retiring soon, we’ll just be here at home and you can come visit us after you and Draco have settled,”
You squinted the moment Draco’s name left your mothers lips. Sure, the two have never said a word to each other, but he was known for his boastful and rich background. Everyone in Hogwarts would’ve known the Slytherin Prince. Though, that never interest you. He probably never knew who you were anyway.

The Lost Letter for Love
(Fred Weasley x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary : 10 years of friendship through letters, and being a hopeless romantic didn’t help you realise your feelings for your best friend, until it might be too late.
Warnings : MUGGLE!AU slow-burn, angst, violence if you squint, best friends-to-lovers, a few cursing you probably won’t realise.
Feet shuffling against the living room carpet, you finally let your body slump on the sofa with a sigh. The sound of wrinkling leather waves through the empty corridor of your shared house. You ignored it, knowing that one of your housemates (who also happen to be your best friends) might come huffing into the room for continuously abusing furniture. With the same occasion happening countless number of times that week, you expected them to grow tired of your mood swings.

Three Souls, Two Lovers
𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕦𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝔼𝕣𝕒
( James Potter x Reader x Remus Lupin )
A/N: This story took me sooo long to write. I put all my blood sweat and tears into making this and I really hope for it to do well. I have already posted this story on @etheraella , which is an account I made with @softlyqoos, where we write together because we feel like we complete each other’s writing so please please please check it out :( anyway, i would really appreciate if this story is shown some love, even a little <3
Summary: Midnight tours, sitting on rooftops, blithe relationships and smiles full of ecstasy, (everything was perfect). Sleepless nights, pitiful eyes, bitter lies and forced promises, (until it all changed). Nothing hurts more than picking a side, especially if it’s between two people you cherish the most. So tell me, is it James or Remus?
Tumblr media
Warnings: mentions of forced marriage, sorrow
P.S: We came across a song that describes this story perfectly right as we were about to post, and we thought it would give that final touch to the story. The lyrics will only make it’s entrance after a while. here it is
* - used for flashbacks
bold italics - used for lyrics
Made up twists:
- The public knows about the marauders being animagus’s
- The crystal ball used for Divination was found early and only the higher ups, like Dumbledore, had access to it. Wizards relied on it considering the accuracy.
You slammed the fork on the table, annoyed as what you hoped would be a quiet meal got interrupted, causing everyone to freeze still at the abrupt noise.
“Is it really that hard for me to enjoy a meal? One meal. That’s all I’m asking for.” You eyed every single presence on the table, keeping your gaze as intimidating as possible, yet some still mumbled under their breaths and puckered their lips so their smiles would look less obvious.
“Why? Getting shy? Oh, c’mon Y/N, you and James make quite the couple and you know that. Quite probably, the whole school does.” Your eyes shifted towards Sirius, who looked at you from the side of his eye, smugly smiling with a bit of his teeth exposed.
“Open your mouth again, Padfoot, and I’ll shove my fork down your throat.” You threatened, grabbing the fork you previously slammed on the table and pointing it at him. You glared at James, who had never once done anything about the teasing from the entire school. In fact, he just feeds the people with what they want.
While your meal was disturbed, he seemed to be enjoying his. He sat slouched on his chair, with an arm resting on the one beside him, the corner of his lip was perked up as he looked at you. “Don’t look at me, it’s not my fault we got exposed.” He raised his eyebrows, assuming to be portraying the innocent one, with his hands raised up lazily while his arm was still glued onto the chair beside him.
Frustrated, you combed your hair back with your left hand, looking to your right, where Remus happened to be sitting. He gave you a small smile. You returned it.
You and James were the impeccable duo, or at least as Hogwarts thought. Well, it is quite out of the ordinary for a woman to have a male animal as an animagus, specifically, a stag; which was James’s animagus too. It was funny how James, a coarse, vile-tempered boy had a stag, an animal that indicates looking out for others and leadership roles as an animagus. It was all so strange, almost as if you were meant to be… was what they convinced themselves with. Either that, or one of you loved the other so dearly, not only their patronus followed the other person’s, but their animaguses too. However, you didn’t take any of it into account. You thought it was all inconsequential.
Besides, it wasn’t James that had caught your eye, it was Remus. Not that James was irrelevant or anything, you still loved him, but not in that way. And you didn’t want your friendship to rupture. You had more of a connection with Remus though, and you felt as if he did too. But neither of you had the courage to tell each other. Although, there were times when “friendly” wasn’t the word to describe your relationship.
*
“Move!”
You dreaded these kinds of days; the days Hogwarts made their Steak and Kidney Pie. Not because they didn’t taste good, but because you’ve never reached the dining hall fast enough to pick a table where they actually served it. It was just ridiculous to you how they only serve the pies at certain tables. It almost felt as if the staff wanted to watch the students hurdle up like sheep getting chased by a sheepdog and the dining hall playing as their sheep pen.
You stretched your arms out in between the two people in front of you, making a big enough hole for you to push through.
“I’ll even swim if I have to.” You thought to yourself. It was no use, even as you went further forward through the line, the people beside you would push you more towards the wall. And once you reach the wall, it’s game over.
“Budge it.” Losing your balance as you felt a sudden push from one of the ‘sheep’, you got smacked against the wall, or so you thought was a wall.
“Well, good morning to you too.” Looking up at the low-pitched voice, you realised what you were previously slammed against wasn’t a wall, but rather someone’s rock hard torso, or more precisely, Remus’s rock hard torso. Rattled, you try backing away, trying to create space between the two of you, however the hallway was too cramped for that.
Remus slightly tilted his head to one side, making his double chin visible as he looked down at you, grinning. “Cramped places could be useful at times, don’t you think?”
“Don’t try it, Remus.” You said as you buried your face deeper into his shirt, hoping he wouldn’t notice how red you had become. But what you didn’t know was that he could feel your heartbeat fastening, being the reason for his chuckle.
*
“She sure is having quite the dream, isn’t she?” The sound of a pair of hands clapped together was enough to make you snap out of it. In a swift move, you sat straight on your chair. James, who was sitting in front of you was laughing hysterically.
“You could have picked a different time to daydream about the future you and James hold, you know.”
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Later that night, you stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep. You were always the last to fall asleep out of your dormmates, probably due to the continuous night tours around Hogwarts with the rest of the marauders. There was no way you would have a normal sleep schedule now.
Suddenly, you heard what seemed to be a knocking coming from the window. Looking towards the sound, you spotted a familiar owl pecking the moonlit glass window. You smiled to yourself, fully aware of what was happening. Hopping off the bed, flinching once your feet came in contact with the cold floor, you slowly opened the door, hoping not to wake your dormmates up. There stood James, a grin plastered across his face. “Hogsmeade tour?”
You smiled from ear to ear, all too familiarly.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
You and James found yourselves sitting on the roof of a random shop located somewhere in the middle of Hogsmeade after a walk around what felt like the whole of the village, until you started to feel pain in your legs. You yawned, finally feeling a hint of tiredness in your eyes as you rested your head on his shoulder.
“Tired already?” Unable to open your mouth, you just hum in response. “Another round, perhaps?” Lifting your right hand up, you slightly nudged his head to the opposing side with your index and middle finger, causing him to let out a short giggle followed by a kiss on your forehead.
“G’night, Y/N.” He rested his head on yours as he drifted to sleep along with you.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
You woke up to James screaming. “Get up! We’re late!” Still half-asleep, you let out a lazy groan as he continued screaming in your ear. “If you don’t get up now, I’m pushing you off this roof.”
“Shut up.” You mumbled a quick response in hope of James to stop talking.
“Get. Up.” Letting out a loud sigh, you lazily shook the sleep off your body and stood up. “How late are we, exactly?” You asked, your voice still a little croaky.
“They’re probably having lunch by this time.” Your eyes widen, almost as if they were about to pop out. “Damnit, James! You couldn’t have woken up a little earlier?” Cussing under your breath, you jumped off the roof and started running towards the school, James laughing to himself, following behind you after grabbing his jacket.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
You two just stood there, your hands behind your backs.
“I swear, it’s not what it looks like.” Looking at the two of you, anyone would have easily misunderstood. How your hair was all messed up, along with James’s, your clothes wrinkled and only returning to the school the next morning. As the students walked by, they stole glances and exchanged giggles. Even at a time like this, where you and James were accused of scandalous behavior, James seemed to be doing nothing about it. It has always been you who had to solve misunderstandings.
You nudged James with your elbow, signaling for him to do something with your eyes. To no surprise, he just frowned and shrugged. Professor McGonagall, on the other hand seemed unamused, with her arms crossed.
Clearing her throat, she finally spoke. “Be that as it may, professor Dumbledore is expecting you. Both, Of you.” And with that, she walked away, leaving you and James exchanging looks with each other.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
“Ah, yes. Please, sit.” Dumbledore was standing behind his desk, admiring a crystal ball which was placed neatly on it. While on your way to Dumbledore to take a seat, he unanticipatedly posed a question.
“So, what are your thoughts on marriage?” Finally looking up from the crystal ball, he looked up at the two of you, with a small smile.
“Pardon?”
“You two are romantically involved, are you not?” You were taken aback by the professor’s sudden straightforwardness.
“No.”
“Yes.”
You shot your head at James, who did the same. Whilst you and James were busy arguing under your breaths, Dumbledore approached the two of you. “Well, it would be nice if that was the case, seeing that you two have a probability of ending the war.”
You shifted your attention to Dumbledore, curiosity filling your head as you wondered what he meant by ‘ending the war’. “End the war?”
“Precisely,” While Dumbledore was walking back to his desk, you and James followed behind him. “You see, being an old man has its own perks as well. Whilst being locked inside this room with nowhere to go, my mind has been pondering.”
Fascinated by the topic Dumbledore had bestowed upon you, you sat down, your gaze still fixed on the headmaster. “It is unquestionably impossible for a female to possess a male animagus, yet somehow you accomplished it.” He turned his back around to look at you. “If it’s not a deep connection that mirrored each of your animagus’s, which surely it must not be, it must be the power you hold. With the both of you combined, surely Voldemort won’t have a chance against you, or your children.”
“Children?!” You almost screamed. Once realising how loud you had been, you sniffed and fixed your position back on your chair.
“I am aware of how sudden this all seems, however at times like this, I’m afraid not everyone has a choice. But of course, we will not take any risks. Therefore, to determine the success percentage of my proposal, we will be using, this.” He held the crystal ball he was previously admiring in his hands, as delicately as possible. “Divination?” James interfered, his tone smooth.
“Correct, James. We will be announcing the marriage publicly with the purpose of having everyone believe it being true. At which point, this crystal ball will analyse and interpret a wizard’s surroundings by logical thinking and sensibility of mind and body in comparison to Arithmancy, which focuses on calculating probabilities, magnitude, strength and effectiveness of magical forces in general, including properties of numbers and their application, which will be used to foresee a glimpse of the future. If perhaps, there is no sight of the victory of Voldemort, be it in love or not, this marriage is compulsory for the safety of the wizarding world.”
With no words to say, you were forced to carry all the pressure that was caused by what you thought was a miracle; having a powerful animagus. You were forced to pick a side.
“What if it still shows Voldermort’s victory?”
Dumbledore sighed before slumping down on his chair. “Then, I’m afraid my proposal was hopeless. And the marriage would be called off, publicly. I would have to yet again, sit here and… ponder.”
You sat there, thinking about both the possibilities. Although there were positive sides to both situations, the only thing that circled your head was the negative effects; what would happen to you and Remus?
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Your mind was still lingering in the headmasters office that you almost bumped into a wall. Fortunately, James was there to stop you.
“Does it really bother you that much?” He looked at you, his hand grasped onto your arm from when he stopped you from hitting your head onto the wall.
“This is about marriage, James! No, it’s about reproducing!” You looked at him, wide-eyed, seeing as he seemed all too unfazed by all this.
“Well, it’s not as bad when you really think about it. You could be ending up with Snape for all you know!” He laughed hysterically at his own line, whilst you blankly stared at him, unbelievably. “How could he be joking around at a time like this?” You thought.
You’ve been avoiding Remus since yesterday; when the news was announced. You were too afraid he would be disappointed in you; that you didn’t have the courage to do anything about it. You didn’t want to hurt Remus, but neither did you want to hurt the rest of the wizarding community. You decided that your decision would be made once you see what the crystal ball portrays.
“Run along, you too! We don’t have all day!” Your thoughts were interrupted by professor McGonagall who pushed you and James into the headmasters office. She didn’t know that your marriage was a part of a strategy. Dumbledore suggested she shouldn’t know so that she could be the one controlling the crystal ball, in order for the crystal ball to be analysing the professors surroundings; someone who wasn’t aware that it was all a part of a scheme.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
“Well? What do you see?” James pushed, forcing a quick answer.
“If you want to know so bad, why don’t you just look?” You glared at James from the small hole you made in between your fingers which were covering your face. You were too anxious of looking into the ball; you were scared of the outcome. James must’ve felt the same way, since he was also covering his eyes.
There was silence for a while. Nobody said a word. Dumbledore and professor McGonagall exchanged looks before putting the crystal ball away and facing the two of you. Before speaking, Dumbledore cleared his throat, which caused the two of you to turn your backs and face him.
“It seems as though the marriage will come to a great outcome. My proposition was well-built indeed.” He smiled, seemingly pleased with his way of thinking. Meanwhile you, on the other hand, were thinking about how on earth you were supposed to face Remus now.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
The moon had already made it’s entrance as you were still seated on some rocks near the Whomping Willow, with the waning gibbus moon and the forbidden forest in your range of view. You had completely lost your sense of time due to the messy state your mind was in. It was so quiet, even the sound of your stomach rumbling caused you to jump.
“Hungry?” You looked to your right, Remus was looking back at you with a softened gaze. You forced a smile before switching your gaze back to the forest, Remus making his way to seat himself beside you.
“Have you ever imagined life on the other side, Remus? You know, behind the forest and it’s deadly creatures.” You pointed the word deadly out in a sarcastic manner as you thought life inside the forest wasn’t as dangerous as people thought it was.
“Sunshine and rainbows?” He smiled, only the higher points of his face visible as the moon shone on them. “I’m serious.” You frowned, his smile growing bigger.
“What do you say we find out?” he raised an eyebrow.
“What about the deadly creatures?”
“Hey, I’m here for you.” He nudged you back with his shoulder a little too aggressively, causing you to almost fall on your side if he didn’t catch you. “Steady on! The moon already acting up?” You teased, but he seemed to be offended.
“Y/N, my shift was yesterday.” The realisation hit you; you were too caught up with the whole scheme that you didn’t even make time to think about the one person you cherished most. “Oh, I’m sorry,”
“No, no. It’s okay. I mean, I don’t blame you. With your marriage and all.” He sighed. You closed your eyes as you realised what you had done, or more specifically, what you hadn’t done. You wanted to be the one to tell him, he deserved to hear it from your own voice. “Remus, I-“
He took a deep breath in as he stood up and straightened his uniform, giving you a small, reassuring smile.
“ Somewhere far behind The scenes Two thousand and seventeen The start of a story Rumors about you and me Talking ‘bout our chemistry But no need to hurry ”
“Congrats, Y/N. I’m glad it’s with James and not someone else.” He tried letting out a laugh, which only came out as a small, forced huff. Hesitating, he walked away, as if he had more to say but he couldn’t bring himself to. You only watched as his silhouette faded. The fact that you weren’t able to stop him built the guilt inside you. It was either this or the lives of many wizards being thrown away.
It was at times like this that you wished you had gotten a different animal and not a stag as your animagus; even if it meant you had to be rotten inside.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
You winced at the bright light that shone through the window. Not aware how you ended up in your dorm, you looked around you. No one was there. “Has class started already?” You thought.
You studied yourself in the mirror as you fixed your tie. You’ve always had dark circles, but this time it was the most noticeable. But things like this didn’t bother you; it couldn’t. Not with all the bigger burdens you had to carry. You shook your head, giving yourself the idea of the weight being brushed off your body.
As soon as you opened the door to leave, a conversation was already being held in front of you. “Yeah, he got caught shifting the night before the last. He’s been hiding in the Shrieking Shack this entire time! Can you believe it?”
“What?! I mean, I’ve always thought Remus was weird, but I really didn’t think that far! So what’s going to happen to him now? I don’t want to be in the same building with that freak!”
“Trust me, nobody does. They’re having a meeting with some of the student’s parents, regarding his stay at Hogwarts. I wish he gets—"
As much as you wanted to fight back to the two good-for-nothing gossipers, you couldn’t waste the very little amount of time you had left. You would have been an idiot if you didn’t try to speak for him now. After everything else you hurt him with, it was only right for you to take action as a loyal friend, no, as someone who loves him.
Your mind was too occupied with thinking about what would happen to Remus if he got kicked out that you didn’t feel the pain in your stomach and legs as you ran with all your might. The wind harshly hitting your face as you ran, and your tie loosening. You couldn’t let him get expelled; not for something he didn’t ask for, not for something he couldn’t control.
“ 'Cause I will light up Your heaven tonight Light up your whole world Just for you ”
Your running came into an abrupt halt when James reached out for your arm. Worry filling his expression. “Y/N, what’s wrong?”
You looked at him, breathing heavily as you snatched your arm away. “Remus needs me.” Seeing as you were about to rush away again, James placed his hand back on your arm, pulling you to face him.
“Tell me what’s happening. Why does Remus need you? What’s going on?” You studied him before combing your hair back with your left hand. “Someone caught him. Shifting. Yesterday. He’s going to get expelled if I don’t do something about it. He’s not a freak! He doesn’t hurt anyone!” Your shaky voice raising with every word you said, tears filling your eyes as you thought about what would happen if you don’t get there in time, huffing in between your sentences.
James stood there, examining your face, not able to find the right words to say. You sighed, “Let me go. I need to do something.” Trying to push his hand off your arm with your left hand, he only tightened his grip.
“Do you even know where he is? Do you even know where to go? Y/N, are you just gonna go running around the whole castle? With an empty stomach? Do you have any idea how you look right now?! You look like you just got up from your grave, Y/N! You would collapse before even seeing him!”
He paused, before taking a deep breath, followed by you. “Look, he’s going to be okay. Who do you think he is? A weak, fragile little boy? All we can do right now is be there for him when he gets out. Listen to me, It’s gonna be okay, alright?” His tone softening as he lifted your chin up with his folded index finger and looked into your eyes with raised eyebrows. You forced a tight smile and looked away.
“ Wherever you go I will follow Whenever you’re low Just let me hold you Let me hold you Don’t be afraid I will show you I’ll make it okay Just let me hold you Let me hold you ”
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
It’s been almost a week since you last saw Remus, and your wedding was in a few hours. You never got to see him that morning. He left without even saying goodbye. Everything was happening too fast for you to take anything in. All you knew was that you were attending a wedding that was held in the entrance of Hogwarts as a bride, and James being the partner in-crime.
A quick knock from the other side of the door was enough for you to snap out of your thoughts. “Come in.” The door slid open, James leaning against the door frame in his suit, holding a bouquet of lily flowers in his hands. You gave him a small smile; you knew this was as hard for him to handle as it was for you. You shared the same burden, the only way for you to cope was through each other.
He walked towards you, his gaze fixed onto you the entire time. Finally reaching for the chair in front of you and seating himself down, he handed you the bouquet. “You’re gorgeous.” He commented, as he studied you in a white gown, your hair tied up in a bun and features enhanced with the way you looked at him.
“The same to you, I almost drooled.” You teased, followed by him cocking an eyebrow. But his eyes soon softened as he remembered the reason why he came to you in the first place. “Y/N, I have something to tell you,” You simply looked at him, listening attentively.
He dithered, still unsure whether he should tell you or keep it to himself like he did all this while. “We were never going to stop the war.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, confused. “What do you mean? I thought this marriage was supposed to—”
“I know, that’s what I wanted everyone to believe.” He paused, realising how much of a problem he was going to cause if he came clean, but he couldn’t keep it any longer; he had to tell someone. He took a deep breath and looked into your innocent eyes before speaking. His tone was filled with desperation.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry. I really am, but I lied to you. I lied to everyone. I messed with the crystal ball to make it look like we could end the war and I—”
“What? Hold on, James, what are you saying? Why would you mess with the crystal ball? What is wrong with you?!” The more you thought of it, the more it aggravated you; it didn’t make any sense, not even a single drop of anything he said made sense to you.
“Y/N, listen to me, I—”
“Were you in your right mind?! Do you have any idea what that silly prank of yours caused? Is that why you were so relaxed about all of this? Because it was one of your stupid jokes all along? And why on earth are you telling me this now?! James, what were you—”
“It wasn’t a prank!”
That was the first time you had ever seen him as exasperated as he was now. You’ve never seen this side of him. You only knew the bully, James, the prankster, James. The spoilt child, James. Seeing all this was new to you.
“It was never a joke. Do you really think I would be that narrow-minded? I wouldn’t go this far if I didn’t mean it. I wouldn’t have went this far, if I didn’t love you.” As he kept talking, his tone softened, as well as his expression.
Your face untensed as you looked at him. “I love you, Y/N. I always have and I still do. I know I shouldn’t have done it, but I knew if I didn’t, you would’ve left. I see the way you look at Remus, I can’t do it anymore.” You avoided eye-contact as soon as he mentioned his name. He was the reason you couldn’t say goodbye.
“Look, I’m sorry. But please,” his breathing became uneasy as he mumbled the next words. “Please don’t leave.”
“ I’m not gonna leave I’m here to stay 'Cause I ain’t nobody If I ain’t got you ”
You couldn’t scream at him for what he did. You couldn’t tell him off, because you knew how it felt to have someone to cherish. You knew how it felt to love and lose someone. You felt for him, and you hated it. He caused the chaos you didn’t ask for, yet you couldn’t bring yourself to get mad at him.
“We should go.” Your tone softened as you stood up, the bouquet falling off your lap and onto the floor as you did.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
“Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls,”
This was meant to be a day filled with joy and happiness. Everyone else seemed to be having the time of their lives except you, and a concerned James, who was standing before you. You examined him, your eyes landing on your joined hands with a ring wrapped on each of our right ring fingers. Who would have thought the moment you’ve always imagined as a child would end up being something you were forced into doing?
“James Potter, do you t…..”
You weren’t paying attention. The rest of his words became blurry for you. It felt as if your ears automatically filtered out the noise and all you could hear was your own thoughts.
Your eyes wandered the venue. Although this wasn’t the memorable moment you’ve always dreamed of, you knew for sure this moment was ought to hold a place in your head.
“Y/N?”
“ Baby, don’t let me down ”
You shot your eyes at James, who called your name, then at the crowd. They seemed to be waiting for an answer; it was your turn to make your promise. You paused, your eyes still searching the crowd, until it stopped. And your body froze. “Remus?” you mumbled under your breath. James, following your gaze as he halted to look at him too.
He was leaning against the far behind wall, his arms crossed as he smiled at you. You didn’t expect this would be the first time you would see him after he left; at your wedding, without him being the one who joined hands with you.
“Y/N,” James whispered, causing you to look at him, then back at Remus. Your gaze shifted back and forth between James and Remus as wild thoughts were running your head.
“ Don’t let me down Without you, I’m frozen Without you, I’m frozen Baby don’t let me down ”
Something was screaming inside your head, and the more you listened, the more you were intrigued to catch it. Your gaze deepened into James’s eyes as you finally gave in. “Just this once,” You thought to yourself. “let me do what I want.”
You held his head in your hands, delicately, caressing his cheeks as you felt sorry for him, then placed a gentle kiss on his forehead as a tear left your eye. Pulling away, you noticed his confused eyes looking back at you. “I’m sorry.” Pulling the ring off your finger and placing it in his right hand before closing it again, you spoke. “We’ll be waiting for you.” Giving him one last smile, you turned to see Remus, his smile faded as he looked at back at you.
“ Wherever you go I will follow “
Lifting your gown up, your feet took off, your gaze still fixed on Remus as a smile plastered itself across your face.
This was the freest you felt in a long time. You deserved this, you deserved a happy ending. It felt as if the weight flew off your shoulders with the wind the more the momentum picked up as you ran. You felt your bun come loose, but you couldn’t care less. You decided to look at what was in front of you, and in front of you only. And in front of you, stood Remus. Your contagious smile now grew on Remus’s face as you grabbed his arm and pulled him with you.
“ Even if time will Fly away We will be hotter Than a flame 'Cause I ain’t nobody If I ain’t got you No, if I ain’t got you ”
“To the forest?” His voice grew bumpy with each step he took, his eyes were fixed on you the entire time. You briefly glanced behind at him as your smile grew wider. “To the forest.”
Without hesitating, he twisted his arm away from your grip and grasped a hold of your hand, slowly intertwining your fingers as he picked up his pace, now leading the both of you towards the forbidden forest.
He shortly looked back at you, his eyes filled with ecstasy as he did.
“ Just let me hold you Let me hold you Don’t be afraid I will show you ”
“I’m free,”
“I’m finally free.”

Slowly releasing my hand away from his wrist, he gave me one last smile before leaving.

Y/N was a year younger than her brother, Harry. She thought that was enough for her to at least have a good reputation in Hogwarts, but with the weekly anonymous whispers released by someone who clearly holds a grudge, Y/N has no chance of blending in. Neither does she have a chance to tell the one person she longs for, Draco, the truth apropos of her true feels for him.
“Crabbe. I need you to listen to me, you can’t tell Y/N. She’s going to ask everyone tomorrow. Whatever you do, don’t tell her it was me.”

Tumblr media
“Crabbe. I need you to listen to me, you can’t tell Y/N. She’s going to ask everyone tomorrow. Whatever you do, don’t tell her it was me.”
Slowly taking steps backwards, still processing what he meant by his words, I walked away in a fast pace. I’ve always had my finger on him, but I still didn’t believe it entirely. I wished I was wrong. I couldn’t help but wonder if he truly meant those words he told me by the lake. Were they just white lies? Or were they just to make me believe it wasn’t him; because who would hurt someone they wouldn’t want to see crumble? But they weren’t the only questions playing my head. “Why does he loathe me this terribly?”
»»————- ————-««
I found myself in the library, somewhere you don’t usually find a Draco. The perfect place to be by ourselves. Though it was difficult, I tried to give him a chance – to explain himself. Maybe he would suddenly change his mind overnight. Just maybe, he would realise how it feels to be in my shoes, for a change. Maybe, he would regret everything and come clean.
“Hey, are you listening?” He shot me back from my thoughts, waving a hand over my face. “Aren’t you going to continue with your plan?” He scratched the back of his head, presumably as I was staring at him while I was lost in my thoughts.
“Yeah, before that, do you have anything you wanna tell me?” He looked confused.
“Like what?” But his expression soon faded, and now concern took over. I cocked an eyebrow, giving him a face that read ‘really?’.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Y/N.” Looking away, he started playing with his hair. “Draco.” Sternness taking over my tone, causing him to look back at me. He paused as if he was assuring himself “there’s no way she would’ve heard”, before leaning over the table closer to me, tilting his head to one side. “Is it about what I said yesterday? I meant it.”
“Did you really?” I crossed my arms, leaning back against my chair. “Your words and actions really go against each other, you know? I don’t know which one to believe.” Fazed, he sat upright on his chair.
“Y/N, you’re just being paranoid. You don’t know what you’re saying.” I furrowed my eyebrows at his stupid excuse. “Well then, let’s see if I really am paranoid or you’re just being an asshole.” I spat, before forcefully pushing my chair away and storming out the door.
I knew he was following behind me as I didn’t hear the door shut when I left the room. “Y/N, where are you going? Y/N!” Out of pure luck, I spotted Crabbe wandering around the hallway. I knew that if I had to walk any further, Draco would have already caught up to me.
“Crabbe.” Startled, he widened his eyes, glancing back and forth between me and Draco.
“Y/N, what are you doing?”
“What’s going on?” Crabbe interrupted, as I was about to harshly shut Draco up. “Crabbe, who did you hear the rumors from?” They were both taken aback by my straightforwardness.
“I-,” he opened his mouth to speak, stealing glances at Draco.
“Don’t look at him. I’m the one talking to you.” I felt a hand place itself on my shoulder but I shrugged it off. “Don’t touch me.”
“I don’t know-“
“Nothing’s stopping me from breaking into the Potions Room and shoving the Veritaserum down your throat, Crabbe.” I looked him dead in the eye, causing him to gulp. There was hesitation in his eyes. I realised I had no time to waste, turning on my heels I was about to find my way to the Potions Room when Crabbe spoke up.
“Draco,” I spun my head around, now having both Draco and Crabbe in my field of vision. Draco looking at the ceiling, running both his hands through his hair in frustration. “It was Draco.” Crabbe looked down at his feet. I looked away; I couldn’t face either of them. Every time I did, a spark of anger would light up inside of me and the very last thing I wanted was to do something I’ll eventually regret.
“Y/N, I was about to tell you-“
“Then why didn’t you?” Looking back at them, I saw Draco and his desperate-looking eyes – similar to the ones he portrayed last night. “I even gave you a chance to.”
“I couldn’t bring myself to tell you. I knew if I did, it would’ve just hurt you more.” Slowly, Crabbe started moving away from the scene.
“You think hearing it from someone else is any better? I was going to find out eventually, wasn’t I? Or were you planning to keep me dumbfounded forever?” His eyes flickering, he looked away, as if I had finally read the part of his mind he never wanted me to. “So that’s it? You’re not gonna explain why? Or what those silly lies you told me last night really meant? Was playing with my feelings just a little hobby of yours?”
His mouth opened, giving me hope that he would finally open up and fill me in with everything – tell me that he was forced to do what he did and that he regretted it. But nothing came out. Not even an “I’m sorry” or a “Forgive me”. I couldn’t bear being in that hallway with him any longer, I finally turned back around and walked out.
 »»————- ————-««
It’s been almost a month now, and every time I met eyes with Draco, I would leave. There hasn’t been any more rumors since that day, I didn’t know how to feel about that. I was still bothered by everything that happened, but I tried putting it out of the picture and focused on graduating and getting the hell out of this place.
Exhausted with my mind constantly playing scenes from what happened a month ago, I decided to step out and watch the lake shimmering with the light reflected from the moon. I sighed as all my worries left my body, once again. I reopened my eyes as I remembered the days I would find myself here after tiresome days of dealing with the scurrilous attack of the society, or specifically, Draco. I’ve always wondered why hardly anyone is seen here. Is it because of the Giant Squid? I chuckled as I thought to myself, I might have even befriended the squid considering how often we see each other.
“D’you mind sharing what’s so funny? I’ve never needed a laugh this desperately my entire life.” I twisted my head around to see Draco with both his hands buried in his pockets, making his way to me. A slight smile plastered on his face. I was too busy studying him that I didn’t realise he had already stopped beside me. “Hi,” His smile tightened as he looked down at me. “It’s been a while, huh?”
I almost missed his voice, the smell of his presence. “What do you want?” I wished to believe that if I replied distantly, he would leave.
“You wouldn’t let me talk to you. The only way was to come quietly.”
“Why are you here, Draco.” It was a question but felt more of a statement. “I want to– No, I need to explain.”
Why does this boy always seek for third chances, I thought to myself. As if second ones aren’t enough. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t stop him. I felt that if I give him the third chance, as he’s always been asking, he might redeem himself. I thought maybe that’s just how he is – a guy of third chances.
“I started those rumors because I didn’t have any other way of getting to Harry,” Oh, so this is about my brother. Of course it was. It has never been about me, it never will. But I didn’t stop him. My head was spinning and I didn’t have the energy to fight.
“I started regretting it after… after I developed feelings. I wanted to tell you. I really did. Soon, your struggles became mine, and I felt as if my emotions mirrored yours. I was going to tell you. That night before Hermione ran to you. But hearing what you had to go through because of my actions, I felt bad. And I knew you would hate me when you found out I was behind them. That was the last thing I would ever want.” He stopped for a while, probably waiting for me to reply. Or weirded out by the fact that I didn’t cut him off while he was talking. “I stopped the rumors.”
“Why?” I decided the answer he was going to give to this question would determine whether he lived up to his given third chance or he threw it away, just like how he did to his previous chances.
“What do you mean?”
“Why did you stop?” I couldn’t read his eyes. Ever since the day the truth was out, I have never been able to read him – like he was a different person, like the memories we had shared suddenly evaporated with time. I don’t know what’s going in his head. And that was what scared me the most. I didn’t know him.
“Well, it didn’t faze Harry at all anyway–” I sighed, rubbing my face with both my hands, and tucked the few strands of hair that fell out of my messy bun behind my ears. I saw this coming, honestly. I’ve always known none of this was about me. “Draco, do you even realise what you’re saying?” He looked confused.
“This was never about us. You don’t like me—”
“I do. I’m positive that I do. I love you. What I said that night, I meant it, with the bottom of my heart.” I looked at him, my eyes softening as I saw his desperate eyes for the third time.
“Draco, it’s not love that you felt. It was pity, it was guilt. You felt as if you were crumbling with me because you knew you were the cause of it. Like you said, you felt bad. You wanted to tell me that night, because it was too much for you to handle on your own. The guilt was piling up until it reached the peak, and you were about to explode.”
Suddenly, I saw two of him. One was blurrier than the other. And everything around me started cloning itself, causing me to shut my eyes due to the dizziness it made me feel, then reopening them. I shrugged it off, thinking that it must be because I was tired.
He just stared at me, his eyes still unreadable. It was this silence again. The silence that occurs when he doesn’t disagree to what I say, giving me the perception that I was right on something I wished I wasn’t right on.
My head suddenly lost all thoughts, and now it was like a dark empty box. It wasn’t long until my vision took the idea of a dark empty box too, and soon all I saw was black.
“Y/N? Y/N!”
»»————- ————-««
When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was a blurry vision of the ceiling to the Hospital Wing. And the first thing I felt was a ringing headache, along with sore back. It took me a while to regain my consciousness fully. Once I did, I searched the room, no one was there, except an owl, along with a rolled up piece of paper tied around its leg using a string.
“Hello?” In case someone else was there, and the letter was theirs, I spoke up, my voice a little croaky. But no reply. Untying the paper from it’s leg, I moved up my bed and leaned my back against the headboard, the owl flying out one of the windows as I move. Hesitant, I unrolled the paper and read it.
 “
Y/N,
I am deeply sorry for being ignorant and not realising how much of a pain I’ve been to you. Thank you for helping me be able to grasp onto what I’ve actually been feeling. Once again, I am genuinely sorry from the bottom of my heart. I hope one day, you’ll be able to forgive me.
-Draco Lucius Malfoy
                                                                         ”
I felt a tear rolling down my cheek, along with another one, and another one as my mind played clips of everything that happened last night. Soon enough, I couldn’t stop, I found myself weeping as quiet as I possibly could in case the walls weren’t soundproof. Everything I would have felt last night, if I wasn’t close to blacking out, came at me all at once. And now, I was left with only memories of us.

The ending gave me 🦋🦋🦋 ALSO TELL ME WHY GEORGE WAS BEING A SENSITIVE LIL PRICK, Y/N NEVER SAID SHE DIDN'T LIKE HIM OMFL
War of Hearts
(George Weasley x Reader x Fred Weasley)
Summary : The reader and the twins have a very typical friendship. Secretly, George has a crush on the reader. One day, everyone starts teasing and shipping Fred with the reader, and the teasing becomes real feelings.
Warnings : cussing/swearing, angst, badass reader (don’t ask me why), fluff ending? (tell me if I need to add anything else that triggers)
A/N : I got some kind of vibe while writing the reader’s character, I just don’t remember who. Plus,This took me 3 days in total, mostly because I was procrastinating.
(Y/H) - your house
Tumblr media
“Ms. Y/L/N”
Hiding the piece of scribbled paper under your arm, you looked up, meeting Snape’s eyes. His stern expression, unreadable. He walked towards your table and snatched the note from you. The class remained quiet, waiting for him to read the paper out loud. You could feel eyes lingering on you, but pretended to not care, feeling used to the type of attention.
“If you’re going to insult my class in a piece of paper,Y/L/N, at least fix your..unpleasant handwriting” he finally said, swiftly throwing the note in the air. “Incendio!”
You watch the paper burn, hearing a few snickers from your classmates.
“looks like my handwriting and you have something in common” you smirked satisfied.
Snape froze his steps on the way to his desk, and turned around with an unamused look. “20 points from (Y/H), see you in detention Ms. Y/L/N”
You could hear a half the class from your house groaning as Snape continued his lesson, your housemates shot the all to familiar dirty looks at you, but a few of them were impressed.
Over the years since you started Hogwarts, you’ve received countless detentions–probably enough to expel you from school. Fortunetely, you never were, the professor’s knew you were one of the school’s brightest students, and the best (Y/H) chaser, no matter how hard-headed you were, and you knew this. Any type of punishment given was as far as detention.
This however had also cost demerit house points, that said, your house mates weren’t exactly fond of you. This doesn’t trouble you, being the careless person you are, you didn’t care about the amount of friends you have. You didn’t give a shit of what people think of you, their opinion never bothered you–and never will.
It’s not that nobody wants to, because there were two boys in your year who never gave up in wanting to befriend you, Fred and George Weasley. They started noticing you in detention, and were entranced by your rare personality. George particularly, had always took an interest in you since he met you, in his eyes you were the most beautiful girl he’s ever laid eyes on.
On their first attempt, they were sitting behind you planning another rendezvous, whilst you were minding your own business. Even then, you were known to their shenanigans, basically, the whole school was. That’s when you overheard their not-so-secret-conversation.
“Oi George, she seems like a friendly little one.” Fred said, sending a mischievous grin to his twin. George nodded in agreement “You know Fred, I’ve been thinking the same thing.”
But before they could sneak up on you, you turned around and gritt your teeth “Fuck. Off.” giving them a sarcastic smile
And that seemed to shut them up. You thought being harsh would give them a hint to not bother trying. Oh boy, were you wrong. Since then, being the pranksters they were, they would always find different ways to intimidate you. To you, you thought it was some sort of challenge between them.
You were annoyed at first, but as the years went by they started to grow on you. Most of the time, they’d come up with comebacks when you say some not-so-nice-words but that was one of the traits you liked about them, it felt nice that somebody (or two people, in this case) were ready with a suiting reply. And that ladies and gents, is how an odd and typical friendship was created.
ੈ♡˳·˖ ━
back to current timeline
You slumped on the seat between them, lazily placing your plate of food on the table. The younger twin who was previously talking to Lee looked at you, startled “Merlin, Y/N, what on earth crawled up your arse and died?”
You rolled your eyes in annoyance, but didn’t reply.
“Well, this is new, quiet little Y/N.” Teased Fred, nudging you with his elbow.
“C'mon, Y/N, I bet you got yourself another detention or-” George started, but you hit both the boys on their shoulders. “Could the two of you bloody shut up?” the two of them rub their shoulder instinctively, looking at each other, grinning. Oh, they love to piss you off merely to see your face redden.
“And for the matter of fact, I did get another splendid detention from Snape.. but only because I was being fucking honest, and I’m supposed to have quidditch practice today.”
You groaned and chewed on your food angrily, but you couldn’t regretting what you said to the professor that day even though you know well that your quidditch house captain will not be happy. Fred took a moment to think and shook his head with a smile. “Well doesn’t life suck for you?”
“Only because you’re both in it.” You smiled coldly. George’s hand flew to his chest pretending to be hurt. “Ouch, Y/N, we know you don’t mean that.”
You shrugged, staring at your food, obviously, you weren’t serious, as much as they annoy you, they mean a lot to you.
“Shit, I forgot to tell the captain,” You got up instantly and started walking away, eager to explain your reason.
“No goodbye kiss?” Fred and George called out in sync.
“Shut it, Weasleys.” You replied without looking back.
Fred chuckled “Feisty isn’t she?” The both of them watching you exit the hall in silence, George smiled but agreed silently, it was one of the many things he liked about you, his feelings for you grew as the three of you got closer, he couldn’t stop thinking about how drop dead gorgeous you were, you had him wrapped around your finger without knowing it. George never fessed up on how he felt about you to anyone, including Fred– and that’s saying a lot since they share everything together. He didn’t want to ruin the friendship and make it awkward considering how hard it was to get through you. Lee and Ron, who were sitting in the same table looked at them, Ron rolled his eyes at his older brothers “Look at our dear Freddie, catchin’ feelings already?”
Both their heads snapped at them, in shock.
George’s smile faltered, it’s suprising how nobody had noticed it, he turned to Fred unbelievably. Of course, it could just be Ron teasing, but it wasn’t impossible right? But he pushed the thought away when Fred shook his head with a raised eyebrow. “Get your long nose out of other people’s business Ronald, Y/N’s just a friend.” he said, secretly assuring himself with his own words.
“Doesn’t seem like it.” Lee teased “I mean, you can tell us, we won’t tell a soul.”
George looked back at Fred who shook his head again in denial.  "Won’t happen, guys.“ Somehow, this convinced George, if Fred liked you, his own twin would surely say something.. but then again, that’s what George didn’t do.
ੈ♡˳·˖ ━
In a few months, almost everyone from Gryffindor knew about ‘Fred fancying you’. When you first heard it, you laughed at how ridiculous it was, and the absurd idea of it. Fred was still denying the ongoing teasing, hence, he had explained to you on the first day it started. George however became closer to you, he got rid of his doubts on Fred, considering, how much they trust each other. George’s feelings remain hidden, he’d often walk you to classes, and back to your common room.
Unbeknownst to either of you, Fred had started staring at you; examining every one of your features - like the way your head throws back while using your hand to hold your beautiful laughter back. When the two of you happen to be alone, he would reply with flirtatious jokes to your sassy remarks. He didn’t realise how and when he’d gotten feelings from meaningless teasings, but he knew he had to tell someone.
He planned the moment, he knew he and the person he trusts would have to be alone. Fred had convinced (bribed) Lee to only enter their dorm after they were done talking.
So that night, after the three of you got back from planning another reckless prank, you waved goodbye and went back to your dorms. Fred was fidgeting with a pen that he had previously picked up, ironically, they were yours. You were using it to write down ideas for them, and left it by accident. George noticed Fred’s behavior, he took out some clean clothes, raising an eyebrow at his twin.
"What’s that Freddie?”
“It’s Y/N’s.” Fred smiled, followed by a silence while George changes his shirt. When he heard George’s bed creak - signaling he was lying down, Fred looked up from the pen “Georgie I-I think..”
George’s eyes bored at his twin. Suddenly, all the suspicions he had came flowing into his head at once. He swallowed hard, not wanting Fred to fess up what George thinks he’s about to say.
“I fancy her.”
George felt his heart lurched against his ribcage, he didn’t want to believe what his brother had confessed. Without thinking, he stupidly asked “W-Who?”
“Y/N.” Fred’s smile grew. “I just-I can’t stop thinking about her, it’s actually quite funny too when I kept denying it.” He laughed to himself. Oh, if only he saw George’s pained expression in the dark.
“I mean, she’s smart, feisty, beautiful and all, I just feel happy when I see her.”
George was still in shock, he quickly forced a smile and lied. “That’s great, Freddie.” Before Fred could say anything, George stood up, walking to the bathroom without another word.
George closed the door and leaned against the sink repeating Fred’s words in his head like a broken radio. 'Why you?’ he thought, he loved you first, years ago for Godric’s sake. He turned the tap and splashed the cold water on his face. He ran his hands through his fiery red hair in frustration. Even when he started crushing on you since the two of you met, he knew he couldn’t blame Fred. Maybe if he had told you how he felt before, this wouldn’t have happened. Despite that, he was afraid of unrequited love..
ੈ♡˳·˖ ━
The next morning, you walked into the hall and sat in between Fred and George as usual. Somehow, they’d always manage to sense your presence as you enter a room - George would usually smile at you when he sees you. Instead, he gave you a cold shudder and got up after you had sat for barely 10 seconds. You furrowed your eyebrows, your eyes following his figure as he left the hall. This made you confused, since he goes everywhere with Fred. On your left, you looked at Fred and he frowned too.
“What happened to him?” He asked, munching on his food, looking back at where George had disappeared through the doors.
“You’re asking me? That’s brilliant of you, Freddie.” You replied sarcastically.
Fred sighed, acting flattered. “I get that a lot, Love.”
You rolled your eyes at Fred. As you ate, you couldn’t help feeling worried for George, knowing It wasn’t like him to act cold, you knew him as the goofiest out of the two even though he appears more quiet. You decided to talk to him when he sees you, but luck wasn’t on your side.
On that same day, you were supposed to have the usual study session with the twins since the three of you were going to have your O.W.L.s soon - they had explained to you before, that they were in bad terms with academics and they had gotten tired of their mother’s nagging, so you agreed to tutor and study with them, but there was no sign of George. Fred told you George was probably studying with Lee, if they even want to.
You nod, trying to think positively, thinking about George the whole study session. George avoided you for two weeks, and it was starting to drive you crazy. Fred was a great friend.. but he wasn’t.. George. You missed him dearly, even after multiple attempts to get George to talk to you he pretended like the two of you were strangers. It made your heart break when he still acts the same to everyone but you.
After Transfiguration, your eyes met George’s in the hallway, the two of you were alone. That’s when you thought you had enough of his shitty attitude. Before he could turn around, you grab his wrists so half of his body was forced to face you. You could feel him flinch at your touch and this made your heart sting.
“What’s with the slack, George?” You said, straightforward.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“No, don’t give me that, you know exactly what I’m talking about.”
You looked at George sternly, wondering why he couldn’t look at you in the eyes. Your eyes softened when his brown eyes finally looked into yours. You felt your heart beat faster every time he looked at you, since the three of you became friends. You were sure George could hear the sound of your rapid heart beat in the silence.
“Tell me what I did wrong. If you’re going to treat me like shit at least gather the balls to tell me!” You exclaimed, letting the grasp between your hands go.
“It’s not you it’s..” He stopped and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath. “You want to know what’s the matter? Fine. I’ve had feelings for you Y/N, for as long as I can remember. When I first saw you, I knew you were different and I was right, you don’t let other people push you around and you make my heart beat faster than a firebolt, then Fred admitted he has feelings for you. I guess that made me realise how close you and Fred were, and If he makes you happy, then that’s more than enough for me.”
You stared at the redhead in front of you unbelievably, your mouth agape. “Is that what this is? Bloody hell, How can you be so oblivious? I love YOU, George Weasley.”
George couldn’t believe his ears. He looked at you, his eyes widening. Without hesitating, he leaned in and pressed your lips together. All your anger extinguished as you melt in the passionate kiss running your hand through his soft hair, while his hands carefully wrapped itself around your waist as if you were so fragile, he might break you.
George pulled away, out of breath and looked at you with adoration.
“I love you too, Y/N Y/LN.”

“I want to-- No, I need to explain.”
“Well, it didn’t faze Harry at all anyway--” I sighed, rubbing my face with both my hands, and tucked the few strands of hair that fell out of my messy bun behind my ears.

Sometimes it’s really lonely being an author. Because when you’re writing, you’re doing it alone, and there’s no one there to gush over silly feelings with you.
And I suppose that’s why reader comments are important to authors. It’s not about the compliments. It’s that we’ve been alone with our thoughts this whole time. It’s an awesome feeling when a friend shows up to share them with you.

Sitting in the library, Neville was not far from the desk you were sat at as he scoured the shelves for a copy of a book about rare magical properties in plants while you were trying to work on your final Potions essay for the term. “This feels impossible.” You yawned, slouching over your four parchment rolls of completed essay. All you really had to do now was make a conclusion, but your brain was wandering after a few hours of working on your homework and it just wasn’t happening. “That’s incredible.” Neville whispered to himself and you couldn’t help but breathe out a short laugh, looking over your shoulder to see that he was fully engrossed in the book he had pulled off the shelf.
Putting your quill down, you looked down at your hand, eyes trailing over the little bandage wrap you wore over the mark left from the detention you had served the previous evening with Umbridge. It was still sore and it felt very tender, but you tried your best to keep it hidden under the bandage and the sleeve of your school jumper. Slowly, your mind wandered towards what Draco might be up to. You hadn’t spoken to him in months since you had started in your fifth year and you’d had less of desire to do so now that he was in the Inquisitorial Squad. And your thoughts paced back to your fourth year when you had started to share a bit of a friendship with him.

“Oh my god, for the last time, Draco! We’re going to interview the people first!” I almost screamed, tugging on his arm – but he didn’t budge. His feet glued itself onto the floor where he was standing.
“One by one? No! Do you realise how long it’s going to take?” He forcefully budged his arm a tad bit closer to him, which caused me to take a step closer.
“It won’t take as long if we split up. I’ll ask Hermione for help.”
“Look, if we retrace our steps from that night, we might find a clue.” He debated, raising his eyebrows.
“I doubt there are gonna be any.” I still believed that Draco was the starter of these rumors, I figured if we ask the people where they had heard the rumors from until I get closer to the start, I might catch him and confirm my thoughts.
“You’re just being ridiculous. How would you know when you haven’t even searched yet??” Finally, snatching his arm off my grip, he stared at me.
I cleared my throat, taking a step back after realising how close we were.
“Fine, but we’re still asking people after this.” Not giving a chance for him to state his opinion, I walked past him, hitting my shoulder with his, hearing him sigh behind me.
»»————- ————-««
“What did I tell you?” Crossing my arms, I raised an eyebrow at him. He sighed, running his right hand through his blonde hair in frustration, his hair finding it’s way back into the same position as it was before he messed it up.
“Alright, we’re continuing with my plan now.” Turning on my heel to leave, I felt a gentle grip on my wrist. I turned to see a tired Draco looking back at me.
“Can we rest a while?”
Looking down at his hand on my wrist and back at him, I thought a little rest won’t hurt.
The sun was starting to set but neither of us said a word. We didn’t really know how to act now – Should we act like our previous selves before I pointed my finger at him? Or should we continue intimidating each other like we did in front of a crowd? For the first time in a while, it was awkward - for the first time in a while, I wanted to leave his presence.
“I’m sorry for treating you like that in public.” I gave him a quick glance before looking back at the orange-ish red sky. “Are you gonna stop though?” He remained silent, causing me to sigh. “I should’ve known, honestly. It’s my fault for liking you.”
I didn’t notice what I said until I saw Draco’s head shoot my way from the corner of my eyes. Did I really just blurt that out? After all this time? At a time like this? God, I felt like running away even more.
“What?” Draco being at my left, I turned my head to the right, ruffling my hair in frustration. Figuring out what excuse to give, I finally turned back around and opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it.
“I thought I was the only one.” For a moment, I felt as if I was hearing things. “You play with my emotions in ways I can’t even explain. Without even realising, the things you do affect me. The second I see you struggling, my mood becomes dreary, but the second I see that heavenly smile of yours, my day brightens up. It hurts, it hurts so bad to see you in this state… but—" His eyes fought back tears as he hesitated his next words.
“But… the rumors,” Unforeseen, he grabbed my shoulders, pulling me to face him. I could see desperation and hurt in his eyes, which I’ve never seen so clearly before. He always looked like a lost and hurt child but right at this moment, it showed so clearly, my heart sank for him.
“Y/N, I really can’t keep it from you any longer. It’s killing me. I’m so so sorry,” Shutting his eyes as tightly as he could, a tear rolling down his left cheek as he let out a deep sigh in such way that he had to search the words he’s been looking for from deep within his heart. “The rumors, I’m—”
“Y/N!” I turned to the direction of the voice to see Hermione, out of breath with her hands on her knees. “Hermione?”
“Y/N, Oh thank heavens.” She sighed, pulling me in for a quick hug before pushing away. “I thought Harper flushed your uniform down the toilet again.”
“You get your uniform flushed?” I looked at Draco, who wiped his previously wet eyes, scratching the back of my neck.
“Yeah, all because of someone.” Hermione eyed him while he looked away, unsettled.
“Draco, what were you gonna say?” Annoyed Hermione came right at that moment, I hoped he’d still want to tell me. “Oh, it’s nothing.” He forced a smile, Hermione still eyeing him.
Giving Hermione a miffed look, she looked back at me confused.
»»————- ————-««
Draco and I decided to call it a day and start the search again tomorrow. However, my thoughts were still lingering at the look of his eyes earlier. What was he going to say? I was on my way to his dorm. It wasn’t far from mine. Quite close, really. Being the impatient person I am, I just couldn’t wait another day. The thought of his desperate-looking eyes kept me awake. Hopefully he’s not asleep yet.
I stood outside their dorm, with my ear placed on their door to make sure I wouldn’t be interrupting, but I heard silence. Are they already asleep? Hesitating, I slid the door open slightly, just so I could peep my eyes through the creek.
“Crabbe. I need you to listen to me, you can’t tell Y/N. She’s going to ask everyone tomorrow. Whatever you do, don’t tell her it was me.”
here's part 4 -the final part ;)

A/N: Hi loves, here’s the start of a little series I’m writing! This part is set during yours and Draco’s third year at Hogwarts purely to set the story up, there will be more parts where you are both older and towards the end will potentially contain some violence and smut. This was the closest Draco had ever been to you. And while he’d never interacted with you properly, he couldn’t deny that he liked you, though he wasn’t sure if it was an attraction or something else. But now, he felt it a shame that the one chance he had to see you up close, you looked scared with tears rolling down your cheeks.
“Does this belong to you?” Draco asked softly as he knelt down on the cold stone flooring in front of your crouched form to pick up a book from the floor. “Yes.” You nodded, tears rolling down your cheeks as Draco gently held out the little pocket sized black leather bound notebook. It had gold brushed page edges and there was delicate and intricate gilding framing the face and the spine of the book.
While the book was relatively unique in appearance, Draco had seen it before. But the copy he had seen was not yours, it was his.
“I’m sorry about Crabbe and Goyle. I’ll make sure they don’t bother you again.” Draco told you with a sweet smile as you hesitantly reached out to take the book from his hand. The two boys had been bullying you recently and when you had been on your way to the library to study, the pair of them had made a game of pushing you around and dropping your belongings all over the floor and shouting mudblood in your face. “It’s okay, thank you.” You sniffled as Draco helped you to put everything back into your bag.
