I drew this up a little while ago but Chiiao (right) is the other person Schoukannaderou (left) ends up with during the prequel arc. I’ve almost got it completed so I’ve had it on my mind.

I did a picture up like this of Schoukannaderou and Zerahno as well but I think I like this one a little better. I might cook up another if I get the chance, it’s been fun to draw up some of the more romantic stuff from DIVE.

I hadn’t done one of these in forever (I also almost forgot to post it) since I’ve been so busy lately!

I still frankly wish that I wasn’t so distant from my emotions for the thing I’d change about my personality type. I touch base more on those sort of things on my main blog - @dinosaurchurch but it is what it is. Having inferior Fi (introverted feeling) sucks. It’s been a struggle and a half that’s for sure.

I really enjoy MBTI stuff even if it’s for fun, it’s helped me understand a lot about myself which is always a plus. I’m not great at describing things imho, but it’s been a great eye opener doing a deep dive on exactly how things work.

I do love psychology, it’s just not something I talk about often…

Happy Easter everyone!

Charlie (left) and Jorra (right) were my characters of choice for this holiday season since I had the 5th arc still on my mind. I really enjoyed writing it, didn't take me too long but I thought Hank - the main protag of that arc - his two main allies would be fun for this years Easter pinup.

I did this picture up in the same sort of style as the Valentine's Day one, I think that's what I'll be sticking with for this year in general. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

One of the most influential artists of my childhood was Akira Toriyama, the man most well known for the Dragon Ball Z series which is something that's absolutely dear to my heart. Believe it or not DIVE started out as a DBZ fanfic starring me and my friends. 10 year old me was obsessed with how cool the saiyans were - the flashy moves, upping the power levels, and of course the infamous transformations they under went when they became super saiyan.

I just really wanted to draw something for such an iconic person that really helped me with my imagination growing up. For the longest time I even wanted to be a manga artist like Toriyama-san, I thought it would be really cool to make the stories in my head as a comic (which I still will be doing).

I thought it would be a fun idea to draw up Robina and Isontaro (my two main characters from DIVE) fist bumping Goku (DBZ's main character) just as a show of my appreciation. Funny enough I had to look up a height chart to discover that Goku is the size of your average guy (he's 5'9" for anyone curious). A lot of the cast of characters I've created are quite large compared to human standards (Isontaro is 10'11" and Robina is 8'2"). It was a really fun piece to scribble up since we had a storm brewing outside today.

Either way, I hope Toriyama-san rests easy. I absolutely send my condolences to his family; thank you so much for everything! My childhood definitely wouldn't of been the same without his creations!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I don't know why I hadn't drawn up Toki before for one of the holidays so she's the person for this years romantic pinup for the season. I really like how this turned out and I think the rest of the pieces I'll be doing up for the year will be in the same vein as this one. This is also the type of colouring style I think I'll be going with for the comic version of DIVE so keep your eyes peeled!

Some minor spoilers for the prequel arc. I had a lot of fun brainstorming about the events and what exactly happens to Schoukannaderou before she’s sealed.

I think her and Zerahno (Cornelious) is quite cute although it ends tragically (I won’t spoil how of course). I might draw her up the other person she has a romantic connection with during that arc, Chiiao.

I was originally going to save this for Valentine’s Day to post it (because ‘Palentine’s Day’ amirite?) but it was too good to horde until then. I’ve had this cooking for a while but I finally got around in finishing it with the new tablet I got for Christmas.

Nothing says “best friends” like sharing some spit with your buddy! I really wanted to draw up Isontaro and Itoku like this, although canonically Itoku is straight during the course of DIVE, Isontaro? Not so much.

Either way stay thirsty my friends!

Happy New Year everyone!

I decided to go with Schoukannaderou and Verto dressed up in classic 1920's outfits to start the year off for fun. I've been really liking this as a theme so I'll be keeping it for some of the holidays!

Merry Christmas everyone!

For this years theme I decided to go with a more 1920's cartoon style for my holiday piece. It was actually something that my SO suggested. I really love how it turned out, both Robina and Isontaro look great!

I might do some else like this in the future, we'll see. It's been a nice change of pace to do up a different style.

Over the past month I've had a lot of fun just sketching up some cute romance between some of the canon couples in DIVE. I keep forgetting the height difference between Robina and Isontaro (They're on opposite ends of average height spectrum for the Demyra). Hiru is one of the tallest in the story, although Anna is average height wise she still looks small in comparison.

I really love how these turned out, I'll definitely be making more of some of the other characters.

So after some contemplation I've decided to do a prequel arc to the main story of DIVE. This is the icon for the fun attached playlist that I'll be posting at a later date once it nears completion (which I'm sure won't take me that long considering how fast I chomped through the fifth arc).

Schoukannaderou is who this arc follows, I really wanted to showcase the events that went down the first time around that she was sealed. She didn't start off as evil as what she presents herself during the first or even the third arc. Guess you can say this arc is going to be more of a tragedy since how it ends is already written in stone.

And thinking of the other arcs, there'll be heavy spoilers throughout this one for the others. I might post more of the first arc since I've had it written up for a while (There's already been some changes I've made especially with dialogue with regards to the comic version).

I've also got a great idea of doing up a 'what if' scenario of what if Schoukannaderou and Robina flipped roles that I might write up in the future. I'd enjoy to see what would happen if Talimyn is the antagonist of the story but we'll see.

Either way I'm excited to be continuing this project, it's absolutely something I look forward to.

It was really fun to draw up a little bit of romance between Schoukannaderou and Verto (which yes is canon during the main story of DIVE). You don't really get to see much with our main antagonist but I thought it was a cute touch.

Edit 12/13/23: I've decided to go with a slight design change to Schoukannaderou and keep her black stripes that she has from the 3rd arc from the get go. I think it makes more sense for the continuity of the world of DIVE in general.

I've been having to draw Ed lately since he's one of the first characters you meet in DIVE, so I decided to sketch him and Julia - his wife - up for fun. They're absolutely adorable and I just love drawing up mushy romantic stuff sometimes.

I'm sure I'll be drawing up more of these types of sketches in the future. I do have more planned.

The eternal debate: Butts or Boobs?

I thought it would be really fun to see both Hank and Itoku team up to roast Isontaro. I absolutely love the interactions with the characters and now that DIVE is finished I'll probably cook up more side comics like this one.

Who knows, I might do a part 2 of this for craps.
