#HappyMonday Hope your week is starting on a great note! And if not, I hope you are taking a moment to stop, close your eyes and #justbreathe, inhaling #calmness and exhaling stress that you couldn't get rid of over the weekend. Since it's #MindfulMonday I wanted to share this #quote I've read the other day: "The eyes are useless when the mind is blind." I think it's such a #powerfulquote because it explains the simplicity of life in such a short sentence. You have to open your mind to new things around you in order to move somewhere in life and achieve more. Your mind is a very powerful thing, and some people forget it. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change as well. I'm saying it, because it really works. From the moment I got my #Reiki certificate and start practicing #mindfullness my life has changed. I became more aware of my surroundings, my depression is gone, and I just feel great and happy. And if things are not progressing fast enough in my life at the moment, I know it will change very soon, because I already feel it. It's a marathon, not a sprint! Living in a city with a crazy energy people are always running somewhere. They only look what's in front of them, missing everything else. There are so many beautiful, simple things around us we have to be grateful for, and sadly we don't notice them most of the time because we are always in a hurry. Go outside. Don’t tell anyone and don’t bring your phone. Start walking and keep walking until you no longer know the road like the palm of your hand, because we walk the same roads day in and day out, to the bus and back home and we cease to see. We walk in our sleep and teach our muscles to work without thinking and I dare you to walk where you have not yet walked and I dare you to notice. Don’t try to get anything out of it, because you won’t. Don’t try to make use of it, because you can’t. And that’s the point. Just walk, see, sit down if you like. And be. As a photographer, you see things some people can't. As a visual individual, you perceive this world differently and notice beauty in simple things people usually forget about. Anyone can love a rose, but it takes a great deal to love a leaf. It’s ordinary to love the beautiful, but it’s beautiful to love the ordinary. A withered maple leaf, capturing the stream of the sunlight, leaving its branch and is falling to the ground; its movements resemble those of a butterfly in flight. Isn't it strange? The saddest and deadest of things is yet so like the gayest and most vital of creatures? You can assume that the leaf you see let go of a branch and fall towards the ground has never been considered by any being but yourself. 10 years without you, daddy! 💙 Grief is like living two lives, one where you pretend everything is alright, and the other where your heart silently screams in pain. The only man who loved me unconditionally for who I was, who watched horror movies with me, who made me laugh so hard until I cry, the only man who I knew for sure would never hurt me... is gone! This loss changed me forever, there is no way to get over it like everyone keep saying. Time doesn't heal, even after 10 years, time only reminds you that life is not the same anymore and you have to accept what happened because you have to live with this pain. Sometimes, being different feels a lot like being alone. Starting from my childhood I felt like I didn't belong anywhere. I didn't like my surroundings, mentality of people around me, my town, my country, the language I spoke. It was uncomfortable living my life with this feeling I couldn't explain. But with that being said, being true to that and being true to my standards and my way of doing things in life, everything that has made me feel very different... in the end, it has made me the happiest. 🤗 Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.💙 The essential lesson I've learned in life is to just be yourself. The happiest moments of my childhood were spend with my grandmother on her kitchen creating yummy dishes. I'll never forget her warm hugs every time I came to visit and sweet memories of sitting by the beach and watching sunset. 🌅 She remembered all of my accomplishments and forgotten all my mistakes. She always had time to talk and make me feel special. 💙 My grandma was always full of energy, exercised and ate healthy, and I always wanted to be like her. ...And then she had a stroke and couldn't function normally anymore. Unprofessionalism of Russian doctors played its role in it. And it makes me so mad! She wasn't herself anymore, couldn't recognize people around her, where she was and barely could talk. But when I visited her last time, she remembered me, she became alive, she started telling me stories, laughed and took funny selfies with me... and it was priceless! 💜 She could have been 85 years old in September. Rest in piece my dear granny Zoya. You'll always stay alive in my heart! Love you forever! ❤️❤️❤️
