tech is literally The Character Ever. he's a loser nerd that rambles about everything. he's also 6'4" and wields 2 blasters like it's nothing. he's ridiculously cocky. when he receives a genuine compliment he has no idea how to act. he's a middle aged white man. somehow he's the only character in the show that pulls. he's teaching omega how to drive their ship. he's also probably being charged with reckless driving on the daily. his favorite word is "technically," but he would never run a by-the-book battle strategy because that shit is for regs. he doesn't know how to express how he feels. he cares about his family so so much.

“My ass is half metal, sir” Echo would say with that snark humor. Alpha-17 makes him run laps for that comment. Echo throws up.
Alpha-17 has to be the reason Echo got in shape so quickly. We all saw him sprint down that hill in the first episode of TBB. And hit that droid.
Forget the idea of Echo being in pain from the Kamino medical center. Give me Echo coming back from training with Alpha-17 and he just lays on the floor of the barracks after, no matter how dirty the floor is. His squad wonders if he got back from a medical “check up” that absolutely is awful by the Kaminoans. But instead he just groans and says “Alpha-17” and refuses to get up into a bunk because “do you know what it’s like to learn how to do 1 handed push-ups with new legs and spine? It’s hell”. (Wrecker eventually gets him into a bunk with Lula).
Tech starts to wonder if he really should have left him in the stasis chamber. Hunter has to inform him that Echo was joking. Tech can’t handle 2 snarky brothers, Crosshair is hard enough.
But once Alpha-17 has a week with him, Crosshair demands a spar with Echo.
So there's posts and fics with Alpha-17 as an Arc trainer.
Echo probably had to do a lot pf physical therapy/training after he was rescued. Alpha-17 from what I've picked up of the comics probably had to do the same.
So how about Alpha-17 looking at this trooper and he remembers training him and his brother, who's gone now, and knows the two of them were competent as fuck even if he's not gonna tell them that, can't let the younger vod get cocky, and he's all too familiar with grieving and recovering SO the day after Echo and the Batch land on Kamino he shows up in the training room they're using just like "come on you little shit time to get you back into shape."
And Echo just turns to Tech and goes "Maybe you should have left me in that stasis chamber."
The Batch just kinda blinks at that cause they haven't heard him joke much and Alpha-17 just goes "still a little shit. good. now get your ass over here before I have to come get you."

This would be the perfect opportunity to bring back Korkie Kryze and his gang. They were kids who saw their prime minister commit crimes in the black market because of Death Watch influence. They saw a man they admired do bad things and label it “for the good of the people”, only for that man to follow a sith. They were taught by a child soldier. Both of his aunts are on opposite sides. He knows democracy. Yet he knows how to hold a blaster. Korkie could be that bridge between the New Mandalorians and the Old ways.
"Mandalorians didn't want to change, Satine merely forced them to"
Except, no she didn't and and yeah they did.
Here's the thing, we are told that the majority of the people wanted the change and were New Mandalorians, we are told that the only people who weren't were a small minority that had been exiled for causing a damaging war on the planet and population
And it was That minority that kick started Mandalore falling, that brought wars back to Mandalore, that took over via trickery and deception because the majority were Happy with Satine so the only way that said minority could take over was by making her seem incompetent and convinced the population of exactly that
Mandalore was a tragedy in the Clone wars because people WANTED to change, they were HAPPY with the change that Satine brought, but because an Extremist Minority didn't like it so they all Suffered
George Lucas said that the Prequels were a story about how a democracy fell, and I see The Clone Wars Mandalorians as another chapter of that, but this time it wasn't because of the civilian inaction, it was because while the people did Everything Right, they suffered under things out of their control and an Extremist Minority used propaganda and staged attacks to take over at the first chance they had.

Someone make a Hamilton AU please
Rex: You are outgunned
Fives: WHAT
Rex: Outmanned
Fives: WHAT
Rex: Outnumbered, outplanned
Fives: PAY YOUR FUCKING TAXES
Rex: Put your blasters down on my command.
Fives: HAND THEM OVER
Rex, sighing: This is Fives, my right hand man.

The final chapter. I'm so sorry. This has more introspection than I planned. This story may evolve into a grander story.

I would like to thank TBB season 3 for making ARC and Snark official.
The sarcasm? That smirk? You know Echo and Crosshair missed messing with each other. All I ask for now is that Echo gave Crosshair that hug. And bringing back the most competent Bad Batchers? Hunter being a mess, Crosshair saving him, Echo being the lookout and mediator. I called it.

Echo will never be used again, so he makes a failsafe.
Crosshair will always make the hard decisions.
This is the result of the Empire getting his hands on him.

As many TBB fans, we really missed out on Echo becoming a true member of Clone Force 99. Like yeah, the unresolved trauma, not to mention Fives, but we all known Echo is a little shit, and has been a little shit since his cadets days.
Let's explore this a little more.
Show me Echo finally getting to spar with someone, anyone, and just pulls a nasty move to win. You know, the kind of move that is downright dirty? We all know what i'm talking about. But show me TBB standing there in shock that this twig of a reg just took down someone twice his weight. He does not yet have all his muscle mass back yet! This was supposed to be a warm up for Echo. A way to build up his strength. Instead they get reminded that Echo is an ARC trooper and he has been through a lot.
Show me Echo trying to stop a cafeteria fight by reciting the reg manuals, saying "per regulation, fighting is not allowed in the cafeteria, and if you would have taken the time to read the reg manuals, you would have known that. Can you even read?" and Hunter furiously trying to deescalate the situation and failing. Echo gets sucker punched but the other clone does not get off as easily. Apparently he had to spend the night in the med bay. Echo only feels a little bit guilty.
Show me Echo matching Crosshair's snarkiness with his own. Remember "Bravo for Bravo Squad"? But instead of being angry with each other, it starts a beautiful friendship between the ARC and Snark troopers. The rest of TBB don't get how there friendship works and just have to roll with it.
But overall, let's not forget that ARC training happens on Kamino. Show me Echo being called up by the ARC trainer for demonstration purposes. Afterall, it's not everyday a war hero gets to help train new ARCs (except for Alpha-17, perhaps). Show me a bunch of new ARC recruits looking in astonishment because "holy Prime, that's ARC Echo of the 501st! He withstood the worst torture imaginable! He basically made half the 501st tactics with The Captain Rex of the 501st!" only for Echo to just crush there poor little preconceptions. Because this little shit keeps it real with these recruits, explaining the reality of going on a mission with a zero success rate, of going through torture, of having to build up physical strength to the point that no cyber implants hurt anymore. Echo does not hold back and has no filter, his words are practically as blunt as the dullest blade and it can hurt just as much. But even through that, no recruit can beat him in a spar. Yet. It's become a new challenge within ARC training.
Of course, I am a sucker for Mom Echo during season 1 and 2, but let me see Echo being a little shit before that! Let me see Hunter calling Cody one night after a successful mission asking "what is up with this reg? Are all ARC troopers like this?" And since Cody has known the little shits that make up the Domino Twins he just solemnly nods his head while sniggering on the inside. He calls Rex afterwards. Rex just laughs.

Remember when Echo’s overarching story said no man left behind and I’m stronger than what tried to break me and I’ll do what I believe in even if no one else will stand with me and get back up always get back up and fuck you for trying to squash people who have less power than you

Big brother Howzer is something I didn’t know I needed
Credit to artist this is absolutely amazing!
Hey ! :D How are you ?
First of all, congratulations for your 200 followers 👏👏👏
When I saw your post about drawing requests, the first thing that came to my mind was Howzer and Hera as a child, because I like to think that before he got arrested they used to be kind of close together, like in a big brother / little sister kind of way !
So I'm not sure if this can be considered a real request, but if that idea inspires you, then I'll love to see these two in your art style :D

Thanks for sending this ask in!
I had quite a few sketches I didn’t end up putting on here, but it was really fun :) Had a few more serious sketches but I decided to use the light hearted ones. I love the idea that they were real close before the end of the war. I think they might’ve bonded a bit over their brothers and all. <3
Also if anyone else wants to ask for anything the info is here (x)

As someone who knows nothing about martial arts but does know sibling rivalry, I’m putting my input.
Tell me about padawans signing up for a kata competition but their master’s former padawan comes to watch. And the whole time it’s just discussion of
“Why did you teach it that way?”
“Did your padawan add a kick? That’s not supposed to be in the routine.”
“How come you never let me do a backhand spring?”
And the master just letting them rant while taking photos like a proud parent of their current padawan.
God I’m just thinking. And ugh, the Jedi’s martial arts must have been amazing. They had seven distinct styles, passed down over a thousand generations, by uncountable lineages.
Every lineage must have had their own katas, their own training methods and distinct variations on the forms. There were probably inter-lineage feuds on what type of sparring they taught, variations on specific katas, which techniques were acceptable in sparring, anything. You KNOW those High Republic Outpost Jedi must have created new styles that were gradually subsumed into the 7 forms.
What would a Jedi Tournament have looked like? Were there ones for specific forms, like Soresu-only competitions? Did they have some kind of point sparring? Was there an endurance/blocking division? How would they have measured Force abilities in a tournament setting? How did they score?
In conclusion, SHOW ME THE SECRET JEDI MARTIAL ARTS LORE LUCASFILM
