Satine Kryze, Governor of Mandalore
As I explained here, Mandalore in my AU has a different government, in which Satine alongside Arla Fett leads the mandalorians!
I used the dear Cate Blanchett as her face claim (or at least I tried), and I gave her some long and lustrous hair, and I made her extra tall because I love tall women and she deserves it, ok? Ok.
I really like how she turned out! I should probably draw a matching Governor Arla Fett.
A close up under the cut:

someone had to teach the clones sex ed and our options are aliens, space monks, and some bounty hunters who were game to cut ties with friends and family for 10 years with no explanation (excellent at healthy relationships)

I don’t know how to explain the sheer comedy of Bo-Katan leaning over to 100% seriously ask, “How do you eat with other people around?”, Din saying, “You don’t.  You go find an isolated spot in the desert to eat instead.”, Bo-Katan’s very serious head nod in response to this as if, oh, well, of course, yes that makes perfect sense, and all of the Mandalorians getting up to walk out into the dark like they just had a mass wave of “oh shit I gotta take a crap in the desert” all at once.  I was literally in tears, I love when Star Wars bullshit takes itself completely seriously.

Rex: So General Kenobi, how come you speak mando'a?
Obi-Wan: I've always been interested in the culture and I spent a year on Mandalore for a mission in my youth :)
Rex: I see, what about you, General Skywalker?
Anakin: Huh? Oh Obi-Wan used to drop me off in mando daycare when he went to get laid in little Keldabe, fun times, they taught me how to headbutt someone.

Mandos who use stickers on their armor but in a ‘don’t tell mom I got a tattoo’ sorta way. Someone gets a bumper sticker on their ass armor that says dumptruck and ba’buir is so mad for no reason. ‘Check out my newest piece it’s scratch and sniff.’

“the armorer is evil and is working with moff gideon”
the armorer watched the empire slaughter the original covert on nevarro and absolutely refused to abandon her forge out of respect for the dead. she then had to build an entirely new covert from the fucking dust (and paz vizsla, i guess) which probably took her YEARS to do. not to mention, she has had to relocate her entire. fucking. forge. THREE TIMES in the process. she’s also ruthlessly decked imps and pirates (who were hired by the empire) several times as we’ve seen. yes, she’s strict with din, but who wouldn’t be? she witnessed the entirety of the covert lay down their lives for him and grogu. and even after all was said and done, she welcomed din, grogu, AND bo with open arms once they were reedeemed. i think it would be so incredibly out of character for her to be this scheming mastermind working for the empire. she’s someone who embodies such strong heart and discipline; she’s an amazing representation of their strain of mandalorian culture. tldr: don’t EVERR talk about my WIFE that way.

So I found a few things like this awhile back but figured I’d share my own thoughts about it.
The Mandalorians thinking of the Jedi as great warriors and to them getting a Jedi in the family was considered a great feat (that no one has managed to achieve yet), they think the Jedi have incredibly high standards, as the great warriors they are should, and continue to follow, flirt with and try to parent Jedi they see.
Meanwhile the Jedi fully believe the Mandos hate them, they specifically warn all younglings to avoid them and it’s one of the first lessons for Padawans.
At one point a Mando sees a Jedi with a Padawan and try’s to compliment the Jedis child rearing skills but they say something like “Your young one is very strong, they would make a great Mandalorian!” Which to the Mando is a compliment and a little bit of flirting, but for the Jedi, who’s already primed to stop someone from kidnapping their padawan because of how popular force-sensitive slaves are (especially those with training who aren’t considered to dangerous, ie Jedi padawans) takes this as a threat and responds with a snarled “Yes they are, and so am I” while projecting every ounce of ‘I’ll beat you black and blue’ they can into the force, the Jedi quickly pulls their padawan close and leaves. Meanwhile the Mando is like “Wow that was hot” and is all proud of themselves for coming up with such a great compliment.
A ton of other shenanigans ensue and it’s great.
Side note I love the idea of the Jedi being very off putting to most others, not in a clear way but a lot of small things (just to fast reflexes, knowing what you’re about to say and responding before you even started etc).
Also here’s a list of reasons Jedi are the perfect spouse to Mandos
They’re great warriors who treat battles as dances, you will never get tired of watching their swirling robes and glowing blades.
They’re amazing with kids, raising their young is a great honor to them.
They stay level headed in the most stressful of situations, remaining competent and calm the entire time.
Their ability to sense danger means they almost always have the upper hand in battle.
Again great fighters, you won’t know true awe until you seen a Jedi cut down a field of enemies in less time then it takes most to fight a small gang.
Anyway these were just some thoughts I had, if anyone has any fic recs with this premise please let me know!!

Mandalorians puttling a literal toddler in fight club with someone no lie ten times his size, the covert that has moved to this planet chooses to live next to a lake that has a giant dinosaur crocodile that’s trying to eat them, there’s also a giant dinosaur bird that has apparently successfully stole and eaten multiple children of theirs, the covert rules say you have to take your food and fuck off to eat alone in the dark, where you take off your helmet and shovel food in your mouth and you’re at your most vulnerable, so it makes perfect sense that you don’t do this as a community, you make sure no ally can see you in case of predators out there waiting for you to take off your armor, anyway I think maybe I’m starting to see why there aren’t a lot of Mandalorians left in the galaxy.

People always try to criticize Duchess Satine Kryze for being a pacifist Mandalorian. They say she abandoned the "Mandalorian Way" or whatever. They clearly don't know enough true pacifists. Pacifists are angry pretty much all the time, just incandescent with righteous fury at the injustice perpetrated by the strong against the weak. Pacifism is a choice a person capable of great violence makes in the name of bringing about greater justice.
You think a woman from a warrior culture wasn't trained in every weapon Mandalorians could teach her? You think she couldn't throw down the gauntlet and brawl if she chose to do so? She was no coward. In many ways, she was the bravest Mandalorian ever, to be willing to turn her back on thousands of years of violence, thousands of years of being little more than the galaxy's hired attack dogs, and say "no. there's a better way." She stood for her ideals and her people to the very end, and if that's not the way of a true Mandalorian, I don't know what is.
