Danny was practicing shapeshifting with Amorpho when he felt the tug of a summoning and heard the distant words drifting into his mind.

Normally Danny would just ignore it. Or if it seems like this was a group that needed some sense scared into them, he'd shift into his Horror form and terrify them into never pulling this shit again. But then he heard them mention live sacrifices, and Danny just had to step in before that happened. So he let the summoning pull him on through, briefly forgetting he was shapeshifted into a... less than ideal form.

Danny lands in the circle right on top of one of the intended sacrifices, a group of people in weird outfits and, is that guy green? Irrelevant. Immediately Danny on knows something is very wrong. His powers feel muted and far away. His form suddenly feels, locked somehow.

He casts his gaze across the summoning circle and, to his horror, recognizes the binding ritual. These cultists wanted to bind and seal him in one of these mortal's bodies after they were sacrificed. But they fucked up the spell. Or maybe Danny fucked it up by coming in too soon? Irrelevant again.

What matters is the spell went sideways. Instead of locking Danny into one of the sacrifice's bodies, it locked him into his own form while pulling most of his abilities just out of reach. Now he's here. In the shape of- He's stuck as-

"Dude, is that a pigeon? Did the Ghost King, like, send you to voicemail?"

Danny judges the Family Business

Danny: How many kids do you have? How many vigilantes are in Gotham right now?

Batman: ... you know how many.

Danny: Seriously, your grandson too? Couldn't stick to just yourself?

Flash: Can we not?

Danny: ... I mean I sorta understand the clone thing makes it murky water, but COME ON!

Superman: *sweating*

And finally, finally, they have enough of the lectures. They know Danny's identity, they know of his parents, his sister. So they ask.

Batman: Would you not tell your parents if you needed help.

Danny: I chose not to tell my parents! My dad has his own section on the news if he's out driving, I don't want them on my team!

JL: .. What?

Danny: I mean, yeah, they'd be helpful on the government research side of things, but... You guys obviously looked into this, they can't aim for shit most of the time! They cause more property damage than any of the ghosts do in the longterm. My dad would probably shout out my name each time he saw me on patrol. Besides, they've calmed down the whoke vivisection thing, they're more like... safari people now. If the ghosts aren't actively attacking, they watch and make notes to study behavior.

Wonderwoman: And your sister? She helped you did she not?

Danny: Yeah, when I was 14 and freshly dead? Believe me, the moment she had an out we both took it. She's studying out in California now, and she's only stepping in for emergencies. Like, end of the dimension emergencies, not 'Oh I've been stabbed again' emergencies.

I find the idea that Danny lectures the JL about the younger heroes and like, making sure they aren't prioritizing hero work out of duty really funny. This undead boy took up his own duty when the only other option was his parents and their inventions (one of which actually killed him by opening a door to another dimension) and felt obliged to deal with the ghosts for both the living and the dead's sakes. He opened the portal, he'll clean up the mess while keeping everyone safe. Sam and Tucker got to help, but once he got control of his powers (maybe once he gets the crown and authority in a Ghost King setting), he's offered them outs as well. They take them slightly. They step in for the heavy hitters, but generally Phantom flies solo; besides JL business. Maybe Dani joins in, but she's her own free spirit so it's not like she sticks around long.

Danny wants to know that all these younger heroes are there because they wanna be, not sacrificing a normal life because of feeling pressured or needing to live up to the expectations of their guardians/mentors.

And I know the JL care about these kids, Danny just ain't sure (He can glance at the BatClan and just smell the death and drama) - and he wants to be. These kids better have a healthy work-life balance, so help him Ancients.

Tim shows up in Lex Luthors office one day with a very expensive looking chessboard.

Lex is baffled because how the fuck did this kid get passed his security?

Tim smiles and Alex shivers cause he recognizes a Drake smile when he see’s it (as does all high society), and realizes that this kid wants something from him.

“Im going to propose to Kon El in a few weeks.” Tim explains, setting the chess set on Luthors desk without permission. “I don’t want or need your permission, but what I want and need is for you to leave Kon out of whatever weird divorce argument you and Supes regularly have. So I’m here to make a proposition.”

The pieces are set and Tim’s pulled up a chair. “2 out of 3. If I win, you leave Kon alone. No using him for schemes, no targeting to harm, no emotional manipulation or threats. If you so much as breathe wrongly in his direction I will not hesitate to dismantle this sad little empire you’ve built around yourself.”

“And if I win?”

“You know that hulking piece of kryptonite my late parents found on one of their last digs?” Of course he did. Luthor had been trying to buy Drake industries for the last year with no success when he found out about it’s existence. “If you win I’ll sign ownership over to you legally.” 

“Are you not concerned about what I’d use it for?”

“Not particularly. I’m not planning on losing.”

“So much arrogance. Fine I accept your wager.”

Despite his own confidence, when Tim smiled at him with that trademark drake smile that channeled everything he’d feared about the late Janet drake, Lex couldn’t help but feel like he’d just walked into a trap.

I’ve been testing out some sketches of Nxlar the Antithetical (who I’m pretty sure you made, pls correct me if I’m wrong) I’ve been wondering what she looks like below the shoulders, as the only picture of her is this

Okay, so in my head, she is very eldritch horror. Think humongous gray-green tentacles (that's the green blob stuff in the background) that bend in and out of reality and don't seem to connect to anything at all, a mouth that's waaay too big for her face, and four giant spider eyes that are constantly rolling in every direction. As for her bottom half: I hadn't really thought about it much! I'm giving you free reign on that one -- go nuts :)

As for her abilities -- Tooth called her the "Mistress of Decay" during the summoning ritual in Comfort of Agony, and I wanna stay in line with that, so I'm gonna say her domain is deterioration. She's all about breaking things down bit by bit, furthering entropy, fun stuff like that. She's called Nxlar the Antithetical entirely because she's basically the demonic equivalent of a contrarian hipster and will full-on no-show if you light any of the candles around her circle while summoning her.

Lastly, I believe Nxlar already has a wiki page, but you should definitely add onto it if you want to! (I loooove the TAU wiki it's so much fun lol)

Hazbin Hotel - COULD Adam Come Back As A Sinner?

(Note - this is NOT meant to pressure anyone on Hazbin Hotel to include or exclude Adam from future seasons. DO NOT USE THIS TO HARASS ANYONE INTO DOING ANYTHING WITH ADAM!!!!! BE BETTER THAN THE VOLTRON FANBASE!!!!!!! These are just all the points that could support or disprove Adam returning next season, compiled by a very bored person who’s suffering from a terrible case of Alex Brightman brainrot.)

Evidence supporting Adam being gone forever:

Perma-death has been established many times in Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel.

We see Adam’s dead body on screen. He doesn’t get dragged away to an uncertain fate, or die off-screen - we get to watch Niffty put lots of new holes in his vital organs (or where his vital organs would be if he still had any - how exactly DOES Angel physiology work?)

Adam was stabbed many times with Angelic Steel, which is supposed to be the ultimate weapon & guarantees perma-death. Maybe. It’s Kryptonite for Princes of Hell & puts down imps & demons, and is the only substance that harms angels.

Adam’s very much a Baby’s First Boss Fight. The practice baddy the heroes defeat in the first season before facing more nuanced, terrifying threats in future seasons. Like Zhao in Avatar the Last Airbender, or Nightmare Moon in My Little Pony. And next season promises to do some interesting stuff with Lute, Sera, and possibly Lilith as primary antagonists.

Adam’s kind of the worst. He has his fans, don’t get me wrong, and there’s something intriguing about such a major asshole. But I wonder how many folks like Adam for Adam, and how many like Adam because Alex Brightman’s having a ton of fun voicing him.

Evidence supporting Adam’s return as a Sinner

Dramatic Irony. Adam spent all of Season 1 dumping on Hell & its citizens, made his mark as the leader of the Exorcists, and has a whole villain song about how “Hell is Forever.” Imagine how he would feel to find himself trapped in Hell with all the other Sinners.

While perma-death DOES exist in Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel, the folks who HAVE died were demons, imps, Hell Hounds, angels, and sinners who made no effort to redeem themselves prior to biting it. The majority of which were never human and, presumably, never had souls. But Adam was a human - The FIRST Human, as he’s always bragging, and therefore has a soul. Just as Sir Pentious’s sacrifice led to his soul being redeemed enough to get him into Heaven, maybe Adam being killed by Niffty for all of HIS sins would land his soul in Hell to think about everything he’s done.

If Sir Pentious is going to be in Season 2, it means Alex Brightman will still be part of the cast. So if he’s recording for Pentious & background vocals, it’s not TOO big of a lift to have him record for Adam.

We haven’t had proper introductions to Lilith or Eve yet. It might be interesting to see how they interact with their first husband. Watching Lucifer heckle Adam before beating the crap out of him was entertaining - I’m kind of curious to see what Adam’s exes have to say about him.

If a Sinner getting into Heaven would shake things up, imagine how much chaos would ensue if folks found out they could be cast out of Heaven for being hypocritical jerks.

Steph's Year of Recovery

So! Danny noticed that a new face had made it's way into town. Two new faces actually, an older lady known as Dr Leslie, and a girl about his age called Steph.

He first met them when he was at the hospital for one of his parents. They had stood too close to an explosion again, and he met them while he was in the waiting Area.

Dr Leslie was a strict but obviously caring older woman, who seemed to be the one taking care of Steph as a kind of maternal figure, or maybe more like an Aunt. She greeted him simply and then walked away to talk with the Secretary, leaving him to talk to Steph.

Steph was a blond girl in a Wheelchair, and he could see bandages piking out of her clothes as he talked to her. She explained that she had been in an Accident a few weeks ago that left her wheelchair bound for a while, and that she had come to Amity for their surprisingly good Medical Centers.

He and Steph got along really well, and by the end of it he asked her for her Number so they could continue talking later. They stayed in touch, and when she was finally permitted to leave the Hospital, he introduced her to his friends. They all got along like a House on Fire, both figuratively and in one memorable case very literally (Vlad had pissed them off okay!)

Eventually Steph recovered enough that she moved from a Wheelchair to Crutches, and their shenanigans got even more chaotic (Vlad hadn't even pissed them off, this time was just for fun)

The only thing Danny could complain about was the fact that Steph was hiding something from them.

She said that she had been in an Accident a while ago, which was why they had come to Amity in the first place. But Danny knew it was more than that.

He could sense lingering traces of Death coming from her after all.

...

Steph honestly loved her current life.

Sure she had lost everything, her home, her health, her friends, her life, but she had gained new things too! Like Danny and the Gang! They were honestly some of the best friends she had ever had, and for some reason they just clicked with her instantly.

Danny was interesting and funny, Sam was vegan and a badass, Tucker was smart and witty, they all fit with her personality perfectly! It almost felt like she bad been friends with them for years. (She ignored the way her heart skipped a beat when she saw them)

But she still couldn't shake the sense that they were hiding something from her.

She knew it had something to do with the Ghost Problem in the town. And wasn't that a kicker, there was a whole Supernatural Ghost Outbreak in this Town and nobody knew about it. Dr Leslie had said that Amity was off the map enough to hide from Bruce, but she hadn't mentioned it was hidden from the Justice League itself!

Danny, Sam, and Tucker definitely knew more about it than they let on however. Whenever a Ghost Attack would happen, at least one of them would rush off with some practiced excuse and return after the Ghost Attack was over all dirty. She could guess what was going on, and she really didn't like it.

(This had killed her, she had died doing what they were doing, she didn't want to lose them)

Eventually she had to confront them, coincidentally on the same day they decided to confront her.

"Are you Vigilantes?" / "Did you die?"

"..."

"What?" / "What?"
