I’m a huge fan of virtual reality! Discovering @getsupernatural when they first started during the spring of 2020, was a game changer for getting through the pandemic and also finding workouts that I enjoyed but also challenged me! I often feel that many folks are held back because they’re afraid of judgment. Judgment that they should have already been eating healthy. Judgment that they should’ve already been exercising. As a wife and a mother this is something that I have to continually remind myself of. It’s so easy to put everyone else first and put my needs last. I watched my mother do this and it didn’t turn out so well for her. She has a wonderful legacy of being unselfish and always putting her children and her family first but in the end it cost her, her health. She passed away in her early 60s. Far too young! I had to remind myself of this today, making sure that I got some necessary bloodwork done that I had been putting off. Love yourself as you love your family and those you hold most precious. ❤️ Take good care of your physical and mental health. I used to feel like I was constantly jerked around to meet everyone else’s schedule so that my child could have the right class or the right play date. Scheduling her life first was my priority. As I constantly tell my daughter, a little bit every day, goes a long way. Just taking one step at a time and doing the small thing. The first thing. The human thing. The thing that you can do, is huge! Music taught me this better than almost anything else in life. You don’t start learning how to play the violin by already knowing how to perfectly hold it and how to perfectly give just the right amount of weight to the bow. You learn it. Bit by bit, practicing one small basic thing at a time, every day for years before you achieve your goal of actually being able to play your instrument. And even though I know this, for some strange reason anything that I have in my heart to do, that I love, I put off all too often. I put off taking that very first step because I want it to be perfect. So when it came to hydroponics I was so grateful that there was a company who made it easy to take that first step. I wanted to figure it all out myself for years and I wanted to grow my own food inside with computers running everything. 😊 I will never forget talking to a hydroponic veteran and asking him what he thought about a new system that I was interested in. I told him I had no experience Hydroponics yet. His reply was what I needed to hear. “You just have to start.” And that’s exactly what I did. @gardyntech made a dream come true for me, that I wanted for all of my adult life. But I had to take the first step and just start. On my five week hiatus while healing a ruptured plantar fascia, I wasn’t able to get to my Gardyn as much as I would have liked. Normally I would’ve been trimming a pepper plants such as this and letting it become a little more bulky and a lot less tall. So after my five weeks were up and the doctor okayed me to put weight on my foot again I was quite surprised when cleaning out my hydroponic Gardyn to find does pepper plant have been quite busy! You can find more photos of these amazing jalapeños in my stories. I ended up transferring this plant to a planter on my patio.
