Rewatching Miraculous Ladybug for the billionth time and only just realising that in Season 5, Episode 18 : Emotion, that Felix called his Red Moon Sentimonster "Sister" and that he considers Sentimonsters to be his kin!!! They don't even have to be completely "sentient". Maybe it's because he himself is a Sentimonster or because of the Peacock Miraculous' ability to sense emotions and Sentimonsters, but it really shows the difference between how he and Gabriel Agreste treats/treated Sentimonsters as Felix treats them as complex creatures rather than being stuck taking orders.

Kipo and the Land of the Wonderbeasts THEORY

Alrighty! If you haven't watched this amazing show on Netflix, do it now and give it a like if you want a season two cuz I hope to Persephone they do not cancel this show.

But if you have watched it

Theory time!

We all know the world is post-apocolyptic so I'll go with the most obvious (well what I reckon is) theory of that it is post WW3. The makings of this animation series probs occured during all the Trump scandals and threats of WW3. And we also know, thanks to expired milk and Wolf, that the Burrows existed after 2020 and have been around for about 200 years.

The reason for the mutations of the animals may be because the humans all fled to their own safety, ie fortressed underground Burrows, and left the animals on the Surface during said WW3 where, it could be theorised that atomic bombs would have been used. This would lead to the mutations of the animals but due to the humans separating themselves, from the animals with quite the barrier, they did not become mutated (save for Kipo which is still to come). This also corresponds with natural selection and evolution theories for when something interrupts organisms (there's a very specific word/s for what I'm trying to describe but I'm too lazy to find my Bio notes).

The show is about supremacism at it's absolute worst. Someone pinning the blame on a whole group of people and labelling them as inferior. It could also refer to animal cruelty and how it's terrible that some of the tricks Sir Baboon uses (don't hate me for not being bothered to remember the name spelling) could correspond to how some people believe that pets or other animals should obey humans as they believe they are superior.

Lio is a mutant Lion able to control his abilities and Kipo's mum was probably mutant Jaguar (because genetics and punnet squares). Hugo, aka Sir Baboon, is probably also alike but decided that he should choose the side of the mutant to rule the world due to his hunger for power.

These mutations of the humans (Kipo, Lio, and Hugo) may be due to science experiments? Idk but it's just a hunch that Lio and Hugo probably wanted to be able to find a way to live on the surface world without facing too much danger and tried genetic engineering their genes with mutant genes. This theory literally only came to me due to Hugo and Lio's obvious past and that it was explicitly said that they had a partnership

We are hopefully going to see more of Benson and his crush in the next season if DreamWorks doesn't wuss out. I'm hoping mystery guy will join on the journey to save Lio to further the sub plot between himself and Benson as well as due to how it's likely because he's already acquainted with Lio and saved his life before (refer to Burrow flashback)

Wolf is going to have to face her past pack. Persephone bless her cuz she's had it rough.

Why was Wolf left on the Surface? Was she abandoned? Did she get lost? Is there a secret surface colony?

What's Benson and Dave's backstory? How did they meet?

Australian politics are so often swept under the rug because we’re so “laid back,” but Australia is currently right on track to turn out like Tr*mp’s America. The Liberals have cut funding to Medicare (you now have to pay to see a doctor unless you’re on a welfare payment), to education, to emergency services (such as the Rural Fire Service), refuse to believe or take any action on climate change, some Liberal MPs wish to repeal gun control, and now this.
