IronStrange drabble prompt!

"To be honest, I didn't think that was going to work."

Thank you so much for offering the idea! Hope you enjoy, my apologies if it’s a bit wonky :)

Tony was pissed. But, Tony had a plan.

Stephen had been “busy” for the last two weeks but whenever Tony’s sees him he’s always laughing with a coworker or talking with Wong about the least busy things he could think of. So Tony was going to do something to get his attention.

step 1: sneak into the sanctum

step 2: somehow convince the cloak to come with him

step 3: put on his best outfit ever, make sure to be talking with someone pretty when Stephen comes.

step 4: be petty

step 5: be petty+make sure Stephen still loves him. (Reminder to not cry if he doesn’t)

ok. So step 1 didn’t go as planned.

“Heheheh” he snickered as he had successfully stepped into the sanctum, and was on the way to strange’s room. Forgot to add step- find out where strange’s room is. That was the first flaw. then he turns around and to his dismay won’t is looking at him from across the hallways with his arms crossed. But he simply points to a room and leaves, thank you Wong.

step 2: find the cape or whatever and convince him to come with him. “Heyyyy cloaky, cloakerman, the cloak.” He says

it simply continues to levitate in place.

“Any intrest in helping an old buddy-“ and suddenly it swooped dramatically onto his shoulders. Ok that worked.

step 3 was already done. He was in his best suit (No stains!) with his hair freshly combed and a neatly trimmed beard. He was ready. Now just find a pretty person.

PERFECT! Y/N was standing in a corner, so he started to walk over to them. Oops he realized too late he had no idea when Stephen would come looking for it. Well that was until the doors burst open with one angry cloak-less Stephen looking around. Quick hurry to pretty person!

“Hey, saw you in the lobby, you new here?”

Y/N smiled back.

“Nope just here to pick up my kid.” Oh no plan failed. Whatever Stephen didn’t need to know he wasn’t flirting, just needed to think he was. he had to keep his head from turning around as he continued the conversation. He could feel Strange’s gaze blazing into him, and god the attention felt good. Right, step 4. Be petty. He remembered that right as strange was suddenly looming over him and Y/N.

“Hey, mind if I take him for a second?” He says smiling dazzlingly at Y/N. “Not at all. “ The cloak was staying on his shoulders which surprised him, he’d thought it would’ve gone back to Stephen by now. But it was weirdly comforting. He suddenly didn’t feel too well having his boyfriend drag him towards his room. Was he mad? Did he still love him? What if this was it? What if he had pissed him off one too many- but he was cut off by strange suddenly bringing him in for a gentle kiss. His eyes were open, a small gentle look, as Tony finally closed his. They’d stood there for a while, strange holding Tony. Tony smiled, then grinned. “To be honest, I didn’t think that was going to work.”
