What would happen if instead of Minako, it was one of Minako's siblings (Flor, Kento, and Alexis) who got the family curse, how would they deal with it?

I feel like Flor and Alexis are the best at managing their emotions and powers. Flor is the most mature and Alexis is a healer who knows what's best for their health's sake. Kento doesn't fare much better than Minako does, unfortunately.

However, absolutely no one is safe from feeling the curse's effects. The curse has a way of shifting the temperaments of the sufferer. The sufferers are more prone to fits of anger, depression, or anxiety. Minako's not great at controlling her emotions, but she has gotten better at it because of the love and support from her family. Her ancestors who inherited the curse did not have that luxury and therefore, they often died prematurely.

It takes Flor much longer to master the patronus charm due to the fear and anxiety of hurting her family. Alexis and Kento canonically haven't mastered it yet beyond incorporeal, and they're further hindered due to the curse.

after the news about duolingo shifting to AI generated translations and only using human staff to check that the translations were bare minimum “acceptable” I switched my german lessons to busuu and I’ve only been doing it a month but it already feels like a more helpful interface. there’s typically way more german text onscreen than there is english (e.g. the headers and lesson instructions being in german), they use more complex compound words that start becoming recognizable in context, they give WAY more detailed explanations of grammar rules, and occasionally there’s a written short answer you submit to get feedback from other real users who are fluent. I don’t think they offer as wide a range of languages but if anyone is looking to jump ship from duolingo I’d recommend checking them out

Did one of the Nezumi's or Malfoy's got into an emo phase at one point 👀

I feel like the only Nezumi who went through an emo phase is Minako combined with a not-like-other girls phase. It went away very quickly, and she and her room looked like a unicorn threw up all over them. The excessive black and angst might make a comeback some day, minus the not-like-other-girls mindset.

Kikyo has notes emo-ish characteristics. She's a musician and author, so she's bound to have angst in whatever she writes

Since you haven't been writing on your fic for a while I just wanna ask without asking spoilers, what's Minako's relationship with the Octavinelle trio?

*Cries in writer's block because I still don't know what to do going forward*

So, Minako's relationship with the Octatrio, huh? Since this is spoiler free, this going to be about their relationship before the Octavinelle arc.

Minako highly distrusts Azul and the Leech brothers. She dodges them at every opportunity, but it's not always easy since she's a dorm leader who must attend dorm leader meetings with Azul.

She knows that the trio are seeking her out with interest. Try as she might, making herself vague and uninteresting is proving to be impossible given her growing reputation. Minako sort of uses Riddle as a shield to hide from Azul. She can deter Floyd if she's fast enough or has some mushrooms on hand. Jade is much harder to avoid, considering that he's hard to scare and that they both like to forage for mushrooms and plants in the woods.

Azul has been intrigued by Minako since day one. He can sense that she's hiding some kind of raw power, and in spite of how dangerous it feels, his opportunistic tendencies tend to win him over. Jade's interest has also been piqued since he's known Minako to take home some poisonous plants and fungi home to either eat or test on herself, and yet she's still alive weeks after. Floyd being Floyd, he will latch on to anything and anyone new. The first girl in NRC is new, that's fun, but— EUGH! Mushrooms! He still keeps trying to bug Minako anyway since she's so cute and tiny like a shrimp or sea mouse.
