i think it’s difficult to understand the complexities of misa and light’s relationship unless you yourself have been through a toxic relationship.
my ex-girlfriend cornered me into a one-sided relationship and forced me to stay with her despite me telling her several times that i could not love her (i am aroace). but she put me into a position where i had to agree and never let me leave her, she would keep coming back and threatened me with the fact that she could destroy my social life at any moment and turn my circle of friends against me, due to her being at the top of our school’s social ladder and me being at the bottom. it took nearly a year for me to get out due to her constant gaslighting, and i managed to piss her off enough to make HER break it off.
the point of this is NOT to say that these experiences are equal to what happened between misa and light. i am not defending either of them. the point is that light did not “corrupt” misa. misa is not your cute little girlboss who can do no wrong. misa and rem still FORCED light into a relationship with misa despite him repeatedly saying “no,” or “i can’t be your boyfriend,” and so many people ignore that.
misa still did bad things. so did light. the situations they were BOTH under were likely extremely traumatizing. i don’t hate misa at all, nor do i hate light. i just think many people in this fandom are overlooking the fact that rem and misa still forced light’s hand.

No joke, if someone has janto in their username they’re way more likely to be a gwenbasher, and I just think janto would actually be disappointed in that :(
that’s their best friend and valued teammate they literally invited to play naked hide and seek with them, why do you think she’s getting in between them, they’d like that actually 😏

Hermitcraft stage musical in the style of Cats (the stage musical not the movie) in which skizzleman (grizzabella analogue) wants very desperately to join the jellicle cats I mean hermits and sings memory and the rest is just the hermits singing and dancing about each other. At the end they nominate him to deactivate his channel or something idk I’ve never watched Cats (the stage musical not the movie)

hm… no I don’t think Gertrude was feeling cold and uncaring when she sacrificed Michael. I don’t think she just dusted her hands off and walked away. I think she was used to risky plans and close calls, even used to an occasional casualty, but her blood ran cold when she realized she was choosing to send one to their death. not collateral damage — a sacrifice.
and I think she tried to be as numb as possible, calculating, deciding, even as she knew deep down that only one of her assistants would walk straight into hell on her word.
and I think she found him a bit annoying before that. the jaded resent the naive — it isn’t fair, but it’s true. but by the time he brought her tea the next day, in her mind, he was already dead. everyone looks better dead. optimism, trust, loyalty all become virtues where they were once liabilities.
I don’t think she didn’t feel the gravity of her choice. I think she did it anyway.
and she did not hesitate.

Time for your yearly fucking reminder: DO NOT WATCH THE BAD BATCH. It’s racism, ableism, antisemitism, whitewashing CENTRAL. The cast & crew KNOW about the boycott and have done nothing for years. I don’t care if they brought Ventress back—go read a fanfic, it’ll do her better, the writing’s always been ass. Don’t buy merch, don’t draw fanart, don’t make trailer gifs, DON’T WATCH THE SHOW.
@unwhitewashthebadbatch has very detailed breakdowns of everything wrong with the show if you want more info/sources

If I had a nickel for every time my two favorites from a piece of media blew themselves up and got sent to prison I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened twice!

“My Time Capsule was developed to trade things with the past! But you can’t trade anything that didn’t exist in the past. If you did, the PC in the past would have a breakdown. So you have to remove anything that wasn’t around in the past.” - Bill, Pokemon Crystal (emphasis mine)
The Gen 2 Time Capsule really is one of the most casually “wait, what the FUCK?!” concepts in Pokemon, but I forgot the explanation really does straight-up use the words “didn’t exist” when referring to new moves and Pokemon. Not “weren’t discovered.” Which I have to assume was a choice the localization made due to space constraints for the text, right? Because… I mean, it would have to be. But which is nonetheless hilarious and yet more evidence of the Pokemon Multiverse being one in which every subsequent generation is in its own universal family, and every cartridge its own universe within that family.
Also, because hold items didn’t exist in Gen 1, the Time Capsule implicitly can only truly transport Poke Balls, which adds a HILARIOUS implication to the climax of Scarlet/Violet even if AI Turo/Sada is seemingly capable of using it themselves. Humans CAN go into the Time Capsule, they just can’t ENTER the new time themselves… but presumably robots are immune.
