New Pagan/Hellenic Polytheist Small Business!

Hello everyone! I'm a Hellenic Polytheist in Washington - and I'd like to share my small shop - Earthbound Altars!

I offer a variety of stones and altar kits - both travel- and full-sized! My altar kits generally include vials of Barley, Lavender, and Olive oil, along with a wooden plate, 1-3 offering dishes, stones, dried flowers & herbs, incense and candles. I typically choose items related to Hellenic polytheism or ancient Greek practices, but I also make custom altar kits and general Pagan kits. Each kit includes information about each item and their use, as well as prayers and hymns.

I also make hand-poured and all-natural candles, soaps, and oil blends though they are not currently listed in my shop. I plan to list these in the future, but if they're of interest, let me know!

I'm willing and able to negotiate prices, and I have a (very small) number of basic kits I can send out for free to those who truly cannot afford the cost but are struggling to build their own altars or acquire the items they need! Supporting our community is very important to me, and I'm very passionate about providing what I can to those who share in the worship and love of the Gods - regardless of your path or beliefs.

I am also a gay trans man, and I use any profits for bills and covering my medication co-pays, so any money I make goes into helping me get by.

Okay once again it is crunch time! Taxes are due on the 18th and I desperately need some help.

I only had 14k worth of taxable income from last year, so you can imagine why I don’t have any savings - but self employment tax is still very high regardless of your income threshold.

I currently will owe about $1050 in total for taxes + fees.

My husband pays for the bulk of our bills right now and even tho his income was triple mine, it didn’t make that big of a dent into reducing our tax payment overall. Neither of us have savings. I do also have a part time job now, but it only barely if at all covers the bills. Etsy and art sales in general have been very down because we are all struggling with inflation, but I would still appreciate any orders in the meantime.

The sale is 30% off finished statues (this may reduce some by $100), and 15% everything else above $20 excluding custom crochet work. The shop may be closed on the 15th bc that is when the Akron Punk Rock Flea Market is. Klarna is available for $50+. I don’t really want to process orders through Venmo unless it’s a pre-made item as those are harder to keep track of.

Because of this and other reasons, I cannot do custom requests except for what is listed in the shop. I cannot process orders this week so that I can market prep either, so please expect delays. I already have a few custom orders on backlogs, so I can’t accept more.

I do also have a handful of Squishmallows in storage that I’d like to sell, so dm me for info.

Hello, everyone!!! Been awhile since I've done an actual post, lmao. But I actually wanted to tell y'all about my Etsy shop!! I've had it up for a couple of months but haven't made any sales yet, and so I wanted to promote it a little. It's called CherryWitchWonders on Etsy, or you can just click the link below!!

I mostly have handmade jewelry up for sale rn, like bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, but I also have a couple of keychains, a few candles, and for those who are witchy/pagan/etc., I have witchy grab bags/mystery boxes!!!

Cult Spotting:

Here is some info on how to spot a cult for new and experienced witches/people in witchcraft:

-You are only allowed to do things their way

-They come up with buzzwords like “spiritual gunk” or “love and light” or other things to scare you into doing what they want you to. (This is a scare tactic and makes you rely on them more.)

-They ask for money. (Now, if they offer services like tarot, etc and you don’t HAVE to give money, this is different.)

-if the leader claims to have special insight or abilities and you have to rely on their senses instead of your own.

-They pit you and other members against each other.

-There is an inner circle that you can reach by following the leader without question.

-They tell you if you leave, people will stop talking to you and bad things will happen.

-Just because someone in the group is a family member does not mean they have your best interests in mind.

-Do online research. See if there are any blogs, info, etc about the group.

-ALWAYS TRUST YOUR GUT. It is the most important thing that you have. Ask your guides, deities, and yourself. And if the answer is no, then follow it.

-If something feels too good to be true, or like a red flag, most of the time it is!
