Hi! Could I have an Anakin x female!reader where they're both Jedi and a chaotic parenting team for Ahsoka?
I pictured a few scenarios like when they first meet reader defends Ahsoka because Ani calls her "youngling" and talks to her as if she was a child; or Anakin is relaxing and reader distracts him for Ahsoka to pounce on him and play fight him; or reader rescues Ahsoka because she did something reckless and life risking during a mission and she's angry at the Padawan, then before scolding her Ani tries to calm reader down and comforts her when she desperately says that she has to tell Ahsoka off because if she loses her, her world would be turned upside down, then instead of yelling at her, reader makes Ahsoka understand in a calm way that what she did was wrong and tells her how much she adores her
Sorry if it's too long and also if it's more Ahsoka x reader but I hope you get to write it ❤

-—————————⋆。‧˚ʚɞ˚‧。⋆—————————-
Anakin had very recently been granted the responsibility of having his very own padawan.
She was a 14 year old Togruta, Ahsoka Tano.
Anakin was beyond thrilled to have an apprentice. You were excited to see his fill his leadership role, especially with a teenager.
As you expected, Anakin and Ahsoka got along perfectly. She reminded you a lot of him. Maybe that's why you had grown so close to her.
You were always on missions with Anakin, so in result, you were constantly around Ahsoka. You immediately formed a big-sister-type relationship with her. You guys were always together. She would often come to your quarters and you would teach and show her all the things a normal teenage girl should be able to do.
You felt bad for her. She was pushed into a setting of war fat too young, so you always tried to make her feel as normal as possible.
You were walking through the labyrinth like halls towards Anakin's quarters, with Ahsoka and your faithful droid R2-D2. Ahsoka was walking a little ahead of you, seemingly lost in her own thoughts.
Suddenly, Ahsoka turned around and looked at you, with a bit of worry on her face. "Master, you can tell me if you think I'm not ready for the mission. I know it's a pretty intense one. I don't want to mess up." She said.
You smiled at her, and placed your hand on her shoulder gently.
"Ahsoka, you still have much to learn, but don't underestimate your power. Anakin and I wouldn't allow you to accompany us if we didn't think you were ready." You assured her as you finally reached Anakin's door.
Ahsoka nodded, seeming to feel a little better from your words.
"Okay. But is it alright if I ask you a question first?"
Her voice had changed to a curious tone, as she looked at you.
"Do you think Anakin really likes me?" She asked you, with her head tilted to the left, like she always did when she was curious. "Or does he only tolerate me because he has to?"
You started to speak but before you could open your mouth Anakin steps out of his quarters.
"Are we ready to head to the briefing?" Anakin asks.
You give Ahsoka a look and nod your head hoping she's picking up what you are trying to say.
You then turn to Anakin. "We've been waiting on you gramps."
Anakin rolls his eyes "See how mean she is, Snips?"
You laugh in response as you all head to the briefing.
Anakin smiled and shook his head at both you and Ahsoka. He really cared for her, and saw how the two of you interacted with each other.
He also walked with you both to the briefing room, where all of the other Jedi were waiting to receive new orders from the Jedi Council.
"I know you'll do great on this mission, Ahsoka. I have full faith in you. Be careful, okay?" Anakin said, walking ahead of you a little, so he could be alone with Ahsoka for just a moment.
You smile at their interaction. You live the side that Ashoka brings out in Anakin.
You all make your way into the room and find your seats as you wait for further details on your mission.
You all sat down, and waited as Master Windu came into the room and took his seat, in order to start discussing the mission with you all.
"The Separatists have been creating secret factories to construct weaponry that will give them a major edge in the war."
Windu looked at you all.
"Do you remember the last factory that we destroyed on Felucia?" He asked.
"We have just found out that the Separatists have just completed building a new one on the planet of Kyseli." Windu continued.
He nodded and looked at Anakin, Ahsoka, and you. A plan was about to be revealed to you all.
"The council would like you three and the 501st battalion to head down to Kyseli, and destroy this factory before it begins production."
Windu looked over at Anakin, and back at you.
"This won't be an easy mission. But, we are confident you three are able to handle it." He then turned to Ahsoka, looking her in the eyes. "You're ready for this mission, Ahsoka."
After the meeting wrapped up you exited the room. Anakin gathered you, Rex, R2, and Ahsoka to discuss how he wanted to execute this mission.
Anakin talked to you all about how he imagined the mission going.
"Okay. So, we'll start by heading over to Dreshia, the nearest planet to Kyseli. Once we make it to Dreshia, we'll split our troops into two sections. The first section will be led by me and Rex. We will distract the Separatist forces by attacking them head-on. It should give the second section a chance to enter the planet."
"Ahsoka, you will lead the second section." Anakin said.
"Wait, Master Skywalker, shouldn't Master
Y/N be leading the second section?" Ahsoka worriedly glance between you and Anakin.
"No, Snips. We need you to lead the mission this time. You'll do great, trust me." Anakin said, with a smirk on his face, hoping to reassure her.
"You're ready, believe me." He continued.
You could see the worry on Ahsoka's face, and Anakin looked like he wanted to hug her and tell her it would be okay, but he had to keep up this leader like personality for this mission.
The truth is, you and Anakin had discussed this prior to the briefing. He was insisting on Ahsoka leading the second section, but you, not so much. It's not that you don't think she's capable, because she is, it's just you can't stand the thought of her getting hurt. Or worse.
After a 30 minute screaming match between you and Anakin, it was deemed that he was the lead of this mission, and Ahsoka was his padawan. So now you would just stick with Ahsoka and try to protect her the best you can.
As Ahsoka was looking at you with a worried expression, you knew that she was thinking about how she didn't believe she could lead the second section.
You also felt worried about how Anakin would react to you going back on his decision about Ahsoka leading; it would probably cause another argument between you two, and you wanted to stay on Anakin's good side, since you were working with him for this mission.
You had no choice but to look at Ahsoka and shake your head as you said "I'll be right at your side. Everything is going to be okay. I promise."
You, Ahsoka, Anakin, Rex, and R2 were all waiting outside of their starship to get ready for the mission that the Jedi Council had sent you on. Everyone seemed slightly anxious or worried about the mission, but you could feel this overwhelming sense of determination and courage in the air as well.
You could tell that Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rex were all slightly nervous about the mission, even though they all knew what they were doing. No matter how good you were at something, you would always get these feelings of worry and anxiety whenever you headed out on a mission of this caliber.
"Once we land on Dreshia, We will immediately split into our sections and head to Kyseli. That's where Rex and I will lead our troops to distract the separatists who are likely to attack as soon as we break the atmosphere. Ahsoka that's when you will lead Y/N and the rest of the troops to the factory to destroy it. As soon as that is done, we regroup back on Dreshia." Anakin recaps.
Ahsoka nodded.
"I understand, Master." she said quietly.
Anakin smiled at her confidently, knowing that deep down, Ahsoka wasn't really believing in herself on this mission. Anakin then looked over to you.
"Alright, are you and the troops ready, Y/N?" Anakin asked, wanting to get the mission started.
"You don't need to call me 'Master' when we're out here." Anakin said, with a slight smirk on his face. "But if that's what you want, then go ahead."
Anakin then looked at everyone else.
"Alright, everyone ready? Let's go."
You all board your assigned ships and take off for Dreshia.
Once you land at the republic base, it's go time, everyone is running around finding their section, you stay close to Ahsoka.
Before you knew it you were in the air again heading for Kyseli
Just as you expected, as soon as you entered the atmosphere, we were bombarded by enemy fire. Just as planned Anakin's Section distracted them As Ahsoka led you, and the rest of section two, straight towards the factory.
Your section had successfully made it to the factory, and the Separatist forces were now turning their attention towards the other side of the planet; where Anakin and Rex's section were distracting them.
Anakin's plan was working perfectly; everything was going exactly as he expected, and Ahsoka was leading the troops inside of the factory building.
"Alright, Ahsoka. You've got this, the Separatists aren't focused on us right now." Anakin said, over the radio. "I knew this plan would work."
"Alright! Everyone place their explosives!" Ashoka ordered.
You immediately placed your explosives down and prepped them for detonation. You watched as all the other troopers did the same. Once complete we all headed out of the factory to detonate.
Ahsoka held the device that would detonate the explosives.
"On three." Ahsoka stated.
"One... Two... Three."
Nothing
"What's going on? Why isn't it exploding?" You ask with a confused look.
"I don't know. I'm going to check it out." Ahsoka started running back toward the building.
"Ahsoka stop!- "
You were cut off by the explosion. Ahsoka flew back and landed on the ground. You immediately ran up to her checking her for any serious injuries. The only thing you noticed is that she was knocked unconscious. You were internally panicking but you knew you had to keep calm because you were now in charge. You lifted Ahsoka in your arms.
"All troops to the ship! We are regrouping to Dreshia!" You yelled.
Everyone boarded the ship and you all headed for Dreshia where you would regroup with Anakin and his fleet.
You carried Ahsoka through the ship and back out onto Dreshia, where you could see Rex and Anakin waiting for you.
"What happened out there?" Anakin asked.
You could tell he was upset when he saw Ahsoka unconscious in your arms, and he was looking at you in a serious way, expecting an answer.
"She ran back towards the rigged building after a malfunction with the detonator. It exploded while she was headed towards it. I tried to stop her." You shook your head.
"She doesn't seem to have major injuries. She was just knocked unconscious from hitting the ground I suppose."
Anakin stayed quiet and nodded in understanding.
You saw he was clearly upset over the situation, and this worried you, even though you didn't want to show your emotions to Anakin.
"Let's get back to the camp on Dreshia." Anakin said in a stern voice. The three of you got in a speeder to head back towards the base, while Ahsoka stayed unconscious in your arms as the speeder drove on.
One you made it, you took Ahsoka to a medic droid that was on the site.
Ahsoka was taken to the medic droid, and Anakin and you waited in the tent for the droid to finish treating her.
After what felt like hours, but was probably only around two minutes, the medic droid emerged from the tent, carrying Ahsoka who still looked unconscious.
"She'll be fine. She'll wake up soon." The medic droid said, as Anakin and you relaxed, and waited for Ahsoka to wake up.
After about 30 minutes Ahsoka started rustling and her eyes fluttered open.
Ahsoka slowly opened her eyes, blinking for a moment as she realized her surroundings, and then she looked at you.
"Hey...what happened?" she asked, sounding a little confused.
She had a look of pain on her face, and was still slightly dizzy when she spoke to you.
"When you went to investigate why the detonator wasn't working, it decided to work." You could feel the anger creeping up on you now that you knew Ahsoka was okay.
Why would she do some so stupid and reckless? Why would she put her life in danger like that?
Anakin seemed to sense your frustration.
"Y/N, let's step out. I need to speak with you."
You followed Anakin out of the medical tent.
Once you and Anakin were outside the medical tent, on Dreshia, Anakin began to speak to you about what happened with Ahsoka.
"Listen, Y/N, I understand why you're upset about what Ahsoka did." Anakin said, "She put herself in danger, and that's something you and I disagree on. But you have to understand that Ahsoka is just young, and maybe a little inexperienced."
"I know you don't like the thought of it - neither do I. But Ahsoka will have to learn things on her own, and make her own choices." Anakin continued.
You sighed. You knew Anakin was right. Yelling at her wouldn't solve anything.
"You're right. Let's go talk to her." You gave Anakin a kiss on the cheek and headed back into the tent.
Anakin smiled, feeling happy that you heard him out instead of getting angry with him.
The duo then walked back into the medical tent, and saw that Ahsoka was now fully awake and sitting up. When Ahsoka saw you and Anakin, she smiled and got up.
Ahsoka then walked over to Anakin and hugged him. She seemed to have a lot of love for him; you didn't blame her.
"I'm alright, Master." Ahsoka said to Anakin. "I'm sorry for trying to run in there like that. It was a mistake on my part."
She went over and hugged you as well.
You giggled. "Slow down there tiger. You need to lay down."
"But you are right. It was a mistake. A stupid, reckless mistake. You have to think before you do okay. If I were to lose you... I can't bear the thought. The truth is Snips, Anakin and I care about you so much. Do you understand?"
Ahsoka looked a little surprised at your reaction, since she thought you would be angry at her.
She then nodded to you, and it seemed like she understood why Anakin and you were so concerned about her.
"I know, I'm sorry. I-I just got so caught up in the moment, that I forgot about the mission." Ahsoka said.
"Just...please don't do anything this stupid or reckless again. Okay, Ahsoka?" Anakin said with a soft smile.
"She gets it from you Ani." You laugh.
Anakin's face turns a light pink when he heard what you said, as he looked down and away from you.
Once Anakin started speaking again, he seemed slightly embarrassed.
"I guess you're right, Y/N." He said, laughing a bit. "Come on, let's get back to the ship. Everyone's ready to head back."

Can we pretty please hear more about ani being beat up before sex 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tumblr media
you call me papi indy i’ll do anything you want me to. i love talking about anakin getting beat up before sex— this is all i could think up off the dome, but! ppl should ask me/talk to me about anakin’s deranged impact play kink more often like this. get really violent with it
based on this post and this post
@xstarkillerx
warnings: severe impact play (both receiving), and some smutty material, brat!reader mentioned
Tumblr media
☥ the thing is, i have no idea how a normal person would react when asked, “hey, i get my rocks off when i’m fought in the right circumstances. help me out?” so we’ll just have to pretend that you, our dear reader, are not normal
☥ you’ve accepted your lover is into some strange things, things you wouldn’t expect he’d get a boner about. one of them being, injury during sparring
he wants to hurt. and he also likes the consensual impact play and risk of hurting each other during sparring. he wouldn’t use the force in any way, solely him and his flesh (his metal arm is not used as an advantage either, not that he’s going easy on you, he’s just not trying to kill you). the rush of seeing you fight against him, even if he may think it’s futile. in turn, he cannot get enough of the adrenaline that he sustains when you land a strike.
being close to you, your back to his chest, and you gain enough room to elbow him in his nose. blood speeds to his cock. snatching a fist full of your hair to draw you back to him like a leash.
when you tire him out, he pins you with his body weight. your wrists in his hands, heaving over you, drooling on you. you wiggle underneath him, try anything to shift things in your favor, and he can’t help but rip your clothes off and have you right now on this mat.
☥ things like slapping him for commenting out-of-pocket-offensive shit unprompted, have given you insight as to how he accepts it. a fire ignites in his eyes. it grows until he cannot tell the difference between anger and lust.
when you act like a brat and need someone like him to put you in your place, it makes it all the more satisfactory when you fight him on it. banging your fists against his chest, and then his lower back when he throws you over his shoulder
when you try to kick him, he catches your ankle, and now you’re balancing on one leg essentially at his mercy. but he would’ve let it land if he felt like it. prove to you the kind of pain he can take, show you how much stronger he is.
☥ once you’ve gotten comfortable with everything (hardened by the war, you’ve learned how to take a punch. your pain tolerance is nothing short of advanced) anakin manages to land a hit onto your cheek, and he sucks on the bruise while he blows your back out
☥ there are times where he’s not in the mood to cause you pain, and so “sparring” becomes a “blocking exercise.” all the moves at his disposal, are dodging/blocking your attacks. of course, it’s impossible to block all of them, you’re a formidable opponent. which means he’s thinking of how he can turn this around in order fuck you on all-fours, while you’re kneeing his gut and flipping him onto the mat
☥ this specific kink of his, is his way of “safely” creating an outlet for that energy that’s generated in places like battle. instead of using that energy to maim and kill mercilessly, he directs it onto an activity thats mutually fun for the both you.
☥ being beaten, but knowing he’s large enough to stop it any time he wants to adds to the appeal.
☥ it becomes yours and his way of blowing off steam. taking out everything on each other. that’s essentially what he wants. whatever is burning up inside, to be unleashed on someone that’ll love you for it.

Sandy Waters — Chapter One
Pairing: Anakin Skywalker/Reader
Summary: The Jedi Council is absolutely done with the feud occurring between you and Anakin Skywalker. So, what do they do? They pair the two of you up on an important mission. But what they really did is force two people who have hated each other for years into close proximity with one another. For several days. Alone. What could go wrong?
Warnings: Anakin being his own beautifully annoying self
Tumblr media
You hold your breath as the doors into the Council room move smoothly into the wall, granting you entry for your meeting with your superiors that you had hurriedly scheduled upon seeing who was joining you for one of the most trying missions along the course of your Jedi career.
“Why is it that you wish to speak to us? I can feel the tension in your Force signature,” Plo Koon says to you, a neutral but concerned look in his eyes.
“I’d like to speak of my partner that has been placed with me for my upcoming assignment, Skywalker.” You hide the sweat that’s beginning to form on your hands by placing them inside of the sleeves of your dark robes.
“Speak what about him, will you?” Yoda inquires, leaning on his cane in an intrigued manner while sitting in his thoroughly cushioned chair.
“Of us being paired together on the assignment in regards to the thug lord on Hosnian Prime.”
“If you are experiencing any qualms, know now that your pairing with Skywalker was no accident.” Windu’s voice had a slight edge to it, which wasn’t unusual. What surprised you was his sudden exclamation that you and Skywalker were put together intentionally, as you had thought that the members knew of your rivalry with the smug faced man.
“I— If I may ask, why would you purposefully put us in the same room as each other?” You were utterly bewildered, your brow raised in surprise. The council must be a lot less wise than you had thought they were.
“Are you questioning our methods?” Dank farrik, this was already going wrong.
“Oh, no! Of course not, Master Windu. I was just going to suggest that I could perhaps be traded into a different… grouping, of sorts? I wholeheartedly think that the mission would run much smoother.” Windu sighs, pinching his nose disappointedly.
“This is not a discussion, young padawan,” he states, stoic as ever and already knowing how this meeting would end.
“I understand, Master, but I truly don’t think that this mission will go as well as it could be if I was paired with someone else—“
“As a Jedi, you do know that peace and balance are important throughout the galaxy, and are an important way of life for those inside of the Order, yes?”
“Yes, completely. But—“
“So then you understand that you need to make peace with Skywalker.”
Peace with him? He had become even more insufferable after he had been denied the rank of master Jedi. Of course, you wouldn’t deny that the look on his face after the fact was absolutely priceless, but the aftershocks of his rejection were starting to get to you. Every minuscule detail about him that had annoyed you previously had practically doubled in his efforts to prove himself to the rest of the Council, his need for praise in full throttle.
The room had gone quiet, something you were all too familiar with when it meant that Windu and the rest of the Council were obviously done speaking with you. You lower your head, the conclusion of your meeting going completely different than you had anticipated. Skywalker was an ignorant piece of bantha fodder that you could barely tolerate being around, much less stuck in a tiny ship with for a few days. With a dissatisfied sense of defeat, you turn the other direction to walk out of the sliding doors to begin to pack the few belongings you would need for your mission, but not before hearing something else from the Council.
“The two of you may be more similar than you think. Skywalker had the same conversation with us minutes before you came in.”
Son of a bitch. He had beat you to it. What were you thinking? Of course he had. His obnoxious obsession with having to be first at everything probably had him sprinting here to arrive before you.
“Do try to reconcile with Skywalker. The two of you could achieve great things if you simply worked with one another.” Yeah right. As if that ape in robes would ever be capable of doing anything related to working in a team.
When you were younger, everything you did seemed to be a competition to him. In what was supposed to be a simple sparring match, he’d almost knocked you out, leaving you with a nasty lump on your head and a trip to the infirmary. When you were researching a topic for a mission that you had found out about on your own and could potentially score you some points with the Order, you found him in the library, already claiming that it was all his idea to an eons-old librarian there. With the amount of gossip she partook in every day, the tale of ‘Anakin’s brilliant research’ was already being spoken of in all corners of the temple. On that day, you had to meditate in your room for over two hours straight just so that you wouldn’t wring his bronzed little neck.
And now, on the mission that could potentially bring you the closest you’ve ever been to becoming a Jedi Master, he was going to be a thorn at your side the entire time. For many padawans, the style of mission that would determine whether they would be promoted normally included being grouped with another student for a job increasingly important than any of their previous solo ones. These could go from assignments such as rescuing an ally political figure, being judged on how well you handled said assignment, to how you both react in a tense public situation, testing your patience and morals. You know for a fact that Skywalker will be incredibly overeager on every step of this mission in order to make himself look good, his hurt pride letting him go leaps and bounds worse in a team-player situation. Maker, your patience truly was being tested in any direction you turned.
You storm your way over to the dormitories, wanting to get this mission over and done with as soon as possible, heading through the halls with your mind just about boiling over. You’re about to open the door into your room when, out of the corner of your eye, you spot a disgustingly familiar figure heading down the corridor. Narrowing your eyes and closing the difference between you two, you immediately accuse him of the first inconvenience that you can think of, because he wholeheartedly deserved it.
“You idiot! I would have been able to convince them to seperate us if you hadn’t gone in there first and mucked everything up.” With the intensity of how hard Skywalker rolls his eyes, you’d think they’d drop back into his skull. He crosses his arms defensively, his Nerf leather vest  squeaking in the process, before speaking.
“I had them debating among themselves when I left, so you must have made such a terrible speech that this nightmare,” he beckons back and forth between you both in a derogatory fashion, “is happening. Oh, and good evening to you, too, by the way.” His voice was practically oozing with sarcasm.
“Oh, don’t give me that,” you say, seeing right through his little plastic greeting.
“My apologies for being sociable, which is a skill I know that I’ve mastered more than someone I know.”
“You’re not being sociable, you’re just being an ass, and you know it,” you say, already completely done with him for the day after two minutes of being around him. “You’re obviously just trying to practice your holier than thou routine after you were oh so sadly denied the rank of Master. They’ll see right through it too, y’know.”
“See? This is what I mean. Are you capable of any other setting besides ‘snarky,‘ or is that the only emotion that you have?” He shifts his weight to one leg. “And I’m definitely going to be jumping up in rank soon enough, young one.”
“We’re practically the same age.”
“There’s that snark again,” he says in a matter of fact tone.
You take a deep breath, closing your eyes and balling your fists into tight, angry and potentially destructive balls at your side, screaming internally before you open your eyes again, a smile plastered onto your face.
“You know what? I don’t have to deal with this right now,” you say, shaking your head and rubbing your fingers on your temples annoyedly. “I’m going to try and make the most of what’s left of today before I have to withstand you after we take off tomorrow.”
You turn around and take another step into your doorway, the whoosh of it opening making the hair on your head move the slightest amount. The chilly, relaxing air helped to cool off some of the steam coming out of your ears.
“That might be the first good idea you’ve had since I met you.” The unfounded, arrogant little smile on his mouth that he’s already used a hundred times this month is making its appearance yet again. He’s just asking for a blaster bolt straight in the kybers, isn’t he? You hope he can see the irritation in your body language as you stiffly turn towards him one last time.
“I’ll see you on the ship, laser brain. Until then, screw you.” He tries to say something, but you put a hand in front of his face, shushing him. “Oh, and at least try to read the holo pad on the dealer we’re after, if you even know how to, yeah? I’m trying to actually get promoted, unlike someone I know.”
You don’t even wait to gauge what his response is, feeling thoroughly proud of yourself that you had just spun his own words back on him. You turn right around and step through your door, closing it directly in his irritating face and stubbornly not opening it again until morning at breakfast time.
Unfortunately for you, shutting the door like this caused you to miss the chance to see him slowly trudging in the other direction. He was muttering under his breath some laughably weak comebacks to respond to you with, such as “Of course I know how to read, you… nutcase” and “No, you’re the one that has a laser brain,” ultimately giving up his attempts at the end of the hallway and continuing to the training room to get some extra practice in before tomorrow’s vital outing.

If you’d like to continue reading, head on over to the story on AO3 or check out Chapter Two here on Tumblr!
A/N: I’m finally stepping into the Tumblr arena for the first time (tentatively, may I add)! We’re entering some uncharted territories here, lads. Anakin is so rude I swear, but DAMN if I don’t want to fuck the life out of him. Unfortunately, sweet, gorgeous, amazing little Padmé doesn’t exist in this universe, but hey, that gives us all the more time to absolutely RUIN Anakin.
Anyways, I hope Tumblr enjoys this as much I as I enjoy writing it :)

We know Anakin and Obi-Wan’s relationship as Mater and Apprentice had many blurred lines. Obi-Wan often felt like the roles were revered or straight up non-existent because of Anakin’s natural power. So their relationship was very different from the typical dynamic. They very much became equals. How different from the standard would you say Anakin & Ashoka’s relationship is? And how does it differ from Anakin’s relationship/experience with Obi-Wan?
i really love this question. yes, anakin and obi-wan's dynamic was more a match of polarized equals. anakin was "too old" to be a student, and obi-wan was "too young/inexperienced" to be a teacher. both their father figure (Qui gon) died and left them in kind of a Brothers-Raising-Each-Other type manner.
i'll also go out on a limb and say Ahsoka and Anakin's dynamic was different (in a way) from usual Master-Padawan dynamics and i say this because ANAKIN HIMSELF was different in a way no other Jedi was, and therefore any dynamic within the strictures of the Order involving Anakin is going to be inherently deviated from the standard.
although i believe all Master-Padawan dynamics differ depending on the pair (some more like siblings, others more parental, others more career-minded and mentorly) i don't consider Masters to be "raising" their Padawans by any stretch of the imagination. the Jedi culture did not work in that way - they were a communal culture and did not have nuclear family units or "parents". so when i see ppl say "Obi-wan raised Anakin" or "Qui gon raised Obi-wan" i very, very much disagree with that. that is just not the nature of that assignment.
so that leads me to how i REALLY do think Anakin thrives in a family environment, and therefore "corrupts" his Jedi associations (Obi-wan, Ahsoka) with a blatant overt familial emotional link that is very much un-Jedi-like, but also very endearing, affecting, and emotionally pleasurable/safe for those involved.
Anakin, by letting his need for close emotional association bleed into his Jedi life (because of his cruel separation from Shmi), actually arguably improves the lives of Obi-wan and Ahsoka, though it is in harsh contrariness to Jedi Code. Something that Obi-wan in particular grapples uncomfortably with - he is often at odds with the intense love he devleops for Anakin (which is why he is so strict with him and strict with himself!).
(To digress, I'd say that as a demi-god agent of the Force, Anakin's need for an emotional anchor in Jedi training is a suggestion that it is something the Jedi lacked and needed to improve).
So where Obi-Ani become equals and partners (perfect word for them), for Ahsoka and Anakin I'd say he blatantly treats her like his daughter. Anakin sees himself as Ahsoka's young dad, protecting her and teaching her how to defend herself out in the universe. At the very least he is her older brother, her friend, but there are definitely fatherly overtones. It's in the nature of the Jedi culture to mix many types of emotional bonds. And although the fatherly-type of POV Anakin has towards his Padawan is not Jedi-Brand Acceptable, it makes Anakin a better person. And it makes Ahsoka a better person.
Anakin's best self comes out when he is a father - and his role with Ahsoka is the precursor to his adoration we see Vader have towards Luke. The married-esque dyad/bond partner-like affections he grows to form with Obi-wan reflect his relationship with Padme and how he is also made stronger when being a husband. He feels stable and safe and purpose-driven for his loved ones and their cause.
I'd say overall the difference btw Anakin & Obi-wan's partnership and Anakin & Ahsoka's is that Anakin + Obi were cast as equals from the start - not in age or demeanor but in situation and inexperience. They grew as brothers-in-arms and juggled with a strange dynamic in which neither really trusted or believed in the abilities of the other (and had a separate reason for tolerating one another- qui gon).
Anakin believed Obi-wan didn't want to train him, was jealous of him (because Qui gon chose him), and that he was being held back because of Obi-wan specifically. Obi-wan believe he wasn't capable of training Anakin, that he needed to appear older and wiser than his years to keep up with the expectations of the council and a new Padawan. They butt heads.
Anakin grows and eventually sees Obi-wan as a person, not a roadblock. He sees Obi-wan is also at the mercy of the Council and his indignation shifts from his former master to the source of the institution itself. He sees Obi-wan is often in agreement with him, feels relief from that, and they get close.
By the time TCW came around, their growing pains all but disappeared and the rivalry they shared grew into an intense friendship and partnership that plainly textually outshines Anakin's relationship with Padme. Anakin clearly loves Obi-wan. He loves fighting in a war. He loves being a hero. He never wants it to end because that means that close borne-of-war constant partnership with Obi-wan might end. It means the Jedi Order might take away something else he wants more than anything. And for Obi-wan's part, he enacts the Rako Hardeen arc to convince himself he isn't as attached to Anakin as Anakin is to him -- he doesn't succeed.
Where Anakin sees Obi-wan as a partner, he sees Ahsoka as someone under his wing. He loves her, comes to see her as her own person and admires her even as Vader. I'd say the big dead giveaway that he sees Ahsoka as his "daughter" is that he literally raises her with Obi-wan in this strange War Context. As I said before this is very much NOT the Jedi way (no nuclear families) but in the War much flies under the radar and Anakin craves that family unit.
He sees Obi-wan as a part of him, and Ahsoka as a part of them.
Ahsoka is the baby of he and Obi-wan's combined philosophies (as depicted in the Mortis Arc). She is precious to him not only because of what a stellar individual she turned out to be - but because she is "made" of he and Obi-wan together.
In fact, I'd argue this is very much a clear reason why she couldn't fit in the Order. She was a perfect Jedi. Perfectly balanced. Perfectly taught. Power (Ani) tempered by thoughtfulness (Obi), kindness (Ani) tempered by tact (Obi), quick action tempered by training, fairness tempered by judgement.
The Order, as an Institution at that point which was kowtowing to the Senate, simply could not live up to the standard she set.
I think it's pretty emotionally fulfilling to see her say "I am no Jedi" to Vader himself! She left the Order, as he did. Is critical of it, as he is. She is very much his Padawan.
But unlike Vader/Anakin, she retained her goodness. A jolt to Vader's consciousness. Yes, maybe the Jedi Order was wrong ... but does that mean he has to be, now, too?
Her last actions with Vader in Rebels mirror Luke's in ROTJ.
She calls out to him, refuses to leave him.
Obi-wan & Anakin are equals who form an intense love-based partnership based on a warsome youth, and unparalleled training situation. Their dynamic is a fighting amalgamation between brotherly, rivalry, older-sibling-as-the-parent sprinkled in, suspicion... which all eventually, miraculously, snowballs into the kind of love two soldiers have. No-One-Else-Gets-Us and What-We-Went-Through. And they're right. Their odd training dynamic. Their life at war. Becoming inseparable co-generals of a major offensive for years while The Republic ignores the war & the Jedi serve the Senate. Forgetting the Code in the dark ends of the Outer Rim when they are tired and alone. Obi and Ani become a well-rounded, in-step partnership in every sense. Maybe even a dyad.
Anakin's effuse affection for Obi-wan muddles Obi-wan's understanding of the Code because he, too, loves Anakin in return so much he eventually chooses Anakin over all else (through protecting Luke). He sees his truth apart from the Order he grew up in.
Anakin & Ahsoka are another pair where Anakin's affections & need for family bleed into the dynamic. Instead of being strictly student-teacher he forms a parental (with Obi-wan!) bond to her. There are also elements of a respected friendship, brotherly affection, and a plain admiration.
Ahsoka-Obi-Anakin purposefully and directly reflects Luke/Leia-Padme-Anakin in the narrative.
It shows Anakin's two "families", two partners, two sets of children, and the two lives he feels he must unfairly choose between.
He duplicated what he truly wanted under two sets of conditions (a family, a loving partner, children), but under the circumstances he can never have both, and it starts to drive him insane ... this thought of leaving one or the other.
it's up to the viewer to decide which better suited him, if any at all. and what meta influence his demi-god status had on the Order & Senate through these actions of his.

Obi-wan Kink Headcannon
A small look into what i think would be obiwans kinks would be.
These are just some quick writing exercises for myself so i can take a little break from my fics. Anyway hope you enjoy 😉
Warnings: obviously smut/kink talk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So sum up obiwan in one word? Repressed. My god the poor man is so repressed when it comes to sex.
A life time of being a well put together perfect jedi with perfect morals has taken its toll.
His late teens early twenties were spent raising anakin. So the man couldnt explore like other jedi his age.
He placed so much pressure on himself that when the time came to finally explore; and anakin was no longer attached to his hip he couldnt let go!
He struggled to give into his lust at first and was actually quite the shy submissive little bean.
He had sought you out quietly, confessing his attraction before revealing he was interested in doing 'stuff' if you wanted to.
To say your jaw went slack was an understatment. You were not what you thought hexd be i to. Loud boisterous and well known for being shall we say adventourous?
Youd been known to have fun. Lets just you didnt shy away from physical relationships. Yolo?
But when obi-wan had approached you, you felt like all your name days had come at once.
Naturally you jumped at the chance, dropping every single plan you had that day and run off with him. Because fuck, this was THE obi-wan.
You quickly found he was not the confident jedi master you had come to know when he was in the bedroom.
He was very very anxious of his reactions trying to keep himself in control. Bless him 🥲
At first he was always whimpering quiet 'no's' as you toyed with him trying to deny himself the most basic of pleasures; like being stuffed down the back of your throat.
It was so sweet, watching him fight with himself, trying to hold back whilst unable to stop his hips from snapping forward. The body was willing, but the jedi was stubborn.
He fought you every step of the way, bending and buckleing as you chipped away at his restraint with vulgar demands and condescending coos about his pitiful whimpers.
Oh yeah he also has a degradation kink. He wanted you to ruin him.
The dark teasing and wicked words brought the jedi master to his knees.
But good god when he finaly embraced his end? Fuck it's beautiful.
He is loud. Like really loud, which is funny becase the man tries so hard to be a quite little church mouse.
He is a masochist. He likes pain. And each time he endulges himself he gets more and more filthy.
It actually frightens you somewhat because his tolerance is high. Higher then your comfortable with if your honest.
Its no real surprise when he comes out as a switch. He does enjoy exercising his dominance.
A switch with big dick energy. (And an actual big dick)
One day you didnt quite push him far enough. He is always one to test his limit. And youd felt hesitant worried of taking things to far with a few of the toys you had.
He'd demanded more strikes, he wanted marks. Welts!
Youd refused beliving he was lost in the pleasure of it all.
That was it, the day you held back he pounced, snapping and turning the tables rather quickly.
You know what they say? Reap what you sow. And by god did you. Youd created a monster.
The man was a fucking menace. An insaitable sadist of the highest calibre.
But he never hurt you, no inflicting pain was not his thing. But pleasure? That was a different story.
He was addicted to watching you unraveled. There was so ething about have you at hos mercy that changed his sex drive. It sent him wild.
And he knew how to use its sharp sting of pleasure to torment you.
He would edge you for hours, teasing and tormenting you to an almost inhumane level for the fun of it.
More. He always needed more, more cum, more tears, more begging and hoarse shouts from you.
He quickly found he much preferred to be on top. He enjoyed being able to release himself in such a way.
He would fuck you like his life depended on it. Railing you, hissing sinister vulgar thoughts any darkness that dwelled within him smothered you in your many sexual encounters.
You somehow ended up becoming his own type of sex therapy; not that you minded, the man was a quick learner.
And then he had the absolute audacity to be the perfect sweet gentleman afterwards.
Offering you tea and a bloody sandwich whist your trying to rememebr how to breath.

((I've been on a Star Wars kick recently, and this idea has been niggling at me, of an AU of Order 66. Not sure if this is going to go anywhere, but, it wanted out.))
It took a lot to kill a Zabrak. As the Sith Maul had unfortunately proved, even bisecting one didn’t necessarily do it.
Ten minutes after Anakin Skywalker swore his oaths to the Sith Lord and became Darth Vader, Agen’s claws gripped the floor.
If it had been a slugthrower, he’d be dead, or going to die a slow and painful death. A blaster bolt, likely the same.
But a lightsaber….A lightsaber cauterized all the way through, the way a blaster bolt didn’t necessarily do. And that he could survive.
The painful part certainly fit, though.
He stretched out his senses, and when he couldn’t feel the room full of people - people with malicious intent, soldiers who’d shoot him in the head - he lifted his head.
Empty. Or at least, empty of enemies.
But there were still tremors of life around him. That could mean anything, but perhaps, if he was alive, then… Agen dragged himself across the floor, claws scrambling against polished marble; he couldn’t get a firm grip, was dragging himself more by the Force than his shoulders, but it did mean he slid across it - one length, then two. Just far enough to reach out and gently set his fingers on Saesee Tiin’s throat. He waited longer than he should have, when he knew.
But perhaps the pain made it impossible for him to focus on what was under his hand; perhaps his fingers were shaking and that’s why he couldn’t feel a pulse. But he knew. His hand dropped away, and his head bowed, just for a moment, as he grieved. Just for a moment. He would grieve for his friend longer, later, but right now, he had to keep moving, because the room would not stay empty for long. He shifted, and dragged himself across the slick floor three long lengths in the other direction, to Kit. After Saesee, he laid his fingers on Kit’s throat without much hope. Then a pulse fluttered under his fingertips. Once, when they’d been young Knights, they’d recklessly gone out drinking, challenging each other as to if Nautolans or Zabraks had a higher tolerance for alcohol. They’d both ended the night throwing up in Kit’s fresher - Kit had done so into the shower, so Agen was convinced he’d won. Even if Kit argued that as Agen had started throwing up first, that meant he had won. They’d both lost, really, and had paid for it over the next few miserable days. But they’d proved that both their species were damn resilient. Agen dragged in several hard breaths. He was alive, and Kit was alive. He was going to keep them that way.

Ok after a period of denial ive accepted that dom!Obiwan is incredibly popular on ao3 and that some of these fics have to be decent, so im acclimating myself to the idea. The concept is borderline blasphemous, but after reflexion and bitter disappointments i think i've got criteria that would make it tolerable:
-Obi-Wan feels a constant, tormenting sense of guilt that's only subsumed occasionally by lust.
-There is not one single moment where Obiwan takes the experience lightly. The whole thing is like sacrificing a lamb in his mind. None of that cocky dom bullshit he's cocky during fights when things are going really well but sex is like funeral levels of serious to him. He never jokes its like he's being marched to the gallows. Somber business.
-Obiwan doesn't fuck. He sacrifices lambs, and then he torments himself for being a monster afterwards. There's no casual relaxed interest in sex stuff like its a hobby. Its not a hobby its a curse from the depths of hell.
-No bullshit like a healthy discussion of boundaries or safewords or anything like that. Its run the risk of killing each other every fuck session or nothing. Obiwan doesn't even know about BDSM safety. He's never met anyone who does or contextualized anything in a framework that would in any way normalize what he's doing. All he has is the voices in his head and the impulses that he filters through an elaborate imaginarium of religious trauma.
-Preferably Obiwan's been chaste his entire adult life. Slut whore Obiwan is fine to me if he's a sub but domming? the moment he understands that's what he's into he's locking himself in a cage forever
-The jedi, much like the catholic church, are the perfect environment to actively foster that kind if sexual development while also actively punishing it and we should feel that. No "well actually they're fine with it". The jedi would literally set the entire temple on fire with obiwan in it if they knew about what was going on and obiwan knows and its a constant weight on his shoulders.
-Anakin being on the other side of the spectrum, pretty chill about the whole thing is very funny to me. At least he certainly shouldn't be in the depths of hell with Obiwan next to him. Obiwan is actively retraumatizing himself with every fuck while Anakin is just having a good time and getting off. He doesn't care.

Dear Creator Letter: Anakin-Clone Appreciation Exchange
Organized as:
General/Setting Likes
Gender Stuff
Setting AUs I like
About the ships
DNW with clarifications
General Likes:
Working with/around PTSD with each other
Asexual or ace-spec characters (doesn’t have to be explicit, just an underlying Vibe is fine)
hurt/comfort (NOT whump)
Generally I like ships being really sweet with each other, even when the sex or kink is rougher
I enjoy pretty much any kind of gender play, including:
Character is now Nonbinary
Trans (in the direction of canon)
Trans (in the direction opposite canon)
Questioning/Experimenting
Fluid
Magic sex swaps of the ‘woke up with my body a different reproductive setup, am learning the meaning of gender euphoria’ variety
Whatever the hell Ranma ½ technically is
Cisswaps (born a different cis gender) so long as it’s not used primarily to turn a same gender ship into a het ship
I do like AUs of all sorts, so long as the core of the character is intact, with vibes to match. This includes:
Time-travel, fix-its
Arranged/political marriage
Soulmate AU
Background or role swap AUs
Omegaverse (WITHOUT exaggerated omegaverse sexism or cissexism at all, and without mild/moderate sexism or cissexism as major plot points)
Modern AU - chill bakery/coffee shop/bookstore/beekeeper stuff - classy criminal playing cat and mouse with the FBI agent trying to catch them - “oh no, you’re my teenager’s English teacher and this parent-teacher conference just got very awkward because we started dating over the summer before I knew” - one of them is a celebrity - literally just whatever
Historical Fantasy (mostly for the fashion and/or if the author gets really invested in things like trade routes and agricultural pressures and inane tax law)
History AU, but only if you go the Bridgerton route of Fun And Funky Tropes Without The Racism
Royal Fantasy
Soulmate
Role Swap (does not have to be between the ship!)
Backstory swap (e.g. Never a Jedi AU, Raised a Sith AU, Senator of Tatooine AU, etc.)
For Want of a Nail
Faustian Castle AU
ABOUT THE SHIPS
These are not prompts! These are just me trying to explain why/how I ship them, the vibes I usually go for, or the kinks I associate with them.
Cody&Anakin or Cody/Anakin I think Cody is tentatively respectful and unimpressed by Anakin. I've got a whole post about it.
Rex&Anakin, Rex/Anakin, and Rex/Cody/Anakin I don't think Rexwalker needs much explanation. We all know the draw there. As for Codexwalker... I need them to share him. I need Anakin flustered. I need Rex flustered. I need Cody laughing at them.
Any given mix of Anakin with Fives, Echo, and Hardcase A ship of shenanigans! I do want Fives and Echo treated as a set whenever possible. Doesn't matter if they're both dating Anakin, or if one is dating him and the other is wingmanning like kingdom come, just need them to be A Set.
Fox&Anakin or Fox/Anakin Reluctance, suspicion, and a slow growth of trust is the name of the game. Fox is so very guarded and he is JUST as unimpressed by Anakin's nonsense as Cody, but with far less cause or inclination to trust or develop affection for Anakin.
Rex&Vader or Rex/Vader Bring that boy back to the light, baby.
Kix/Anakin or Kix&Anakin Not too grumpy of a medic, please. He's soft-spoken in canon, yeah? Also I like the idea that Kix is eager to prove himself to Anakin in non-medical settings. He's already proven himself as a medic! Let him prove his kissing skills!
Alpha-17/Anakin Alpha is challenging Anakin to prove himself. He is even less impressed than Cody. He is mean about it. I'm not sure if he'll ever like Anakin, but he might tolerate him long enough to have a grudging fondness after Anakin manically destroys a walker that was about to crush him or something.
Regarding my unwanted list/clarification on my DNWs
DNW that don’t need much elaboration:
incest (cloneshipping is fine)
bestiality
minor/adult ships - age difference of less than three years is fine - major age difference where both are adults is fine
Reader inserts, major inclusion of original characters
Lower body fluids (talking about blood or saliva is fine; excrement is not), vomit
Sick fic (injury recovery is fine)
IDK I just get nothing out of most sick fic
Non-canon Dark Histories meant only to make someone more sympathetic or pitiable (e.g. especially Rape as Backstory)
Downer endings (includes breakups that are not resolved)
Smoking/cigarettes/alcohol/recreational drug use
General sexism or bigotry as a major theme, or from one member of the ship to the other, as well as bigotry-based dirty talk
Moderate to extreme sexism or cissexism for omegaverse
anti-intersexuality bias, usage of 'intersex’ for dualsex (they’re not the same thing)
Misgendering
Particularly dark topics, including: - Noncon - major character death (I’m fine with “Tarkin died and that sure is impacting the war” but “the main character’s younger sister just died and the plot revolves around the grief” is a bit much) - underage sexual content - adultery/infidelity - whump - unresolved terminal illness - suicide - self-harm - domestic abuse - child abuse
To keep things simple, no nsfw for this one
Basic character/setting things:
Werewolf or folklore AUs.
No character bashing. I know the event already has this as a rule, but I want to make sure it's clear that I don't want ANYONE bashed, not just Anakin and the clones. - By this, I mean vilifying them based on negative fanon or otherwise non-canon actions or behaviors (e.g. Anakin mind-controlling Padme into a relationship), or stories that prioritize punishing a character for their narrative crimes in the plot, especially in a way that is inconsistent with the setting or characters doing the punishment (e.g. Padme or the Jedi being incredibly harsh with Anakin about the Tusken Massacre, despite Padme moving past it easily in canon, and the Jedi displaying extreme forgiveness and providing rehabilitation to other characters that Fall, like Quinlan). -The whole Anakin/Consequences movement is one that I dislike immensely. If you don’t know what it is, you’re probably not doing it. If you do know what it is, then you know what I mean here. - It is very common/popular to write Qui-Gon as a neglectful, cold, or downright abusive caregiver/parent figure to the children in his care. I do not like this in the slightest.
For some reason, a lot of writers are very casual about violating a character’s bodily autonomy “for their own good.” I don’t like this (unless it’s horror, but that’s a different topic), and ask that you refrain from having characters do something like that for a person’s own good unless there are some massive extenuating circumstances. Please, for the love of god, do not have characters nonconsensually drug each other with sleeping pills as an act of care unless it's meant to be a sign of how dark and fucked up they are. Like, if Vader is drugging someone 'for their own good,' that's one thing, but...
I’m pro-Jedi and pro-New Mandos. I do not want anything that suggests they: - deserved what happened to them - needed to change or learn to accept more militant values/that attachment is good - were stealing/brainwashing children or engaging in cultural genocide - Traviss-style Mando Supremacy is a no-go - This isn’t technically a DNW because it’s too difficult for the mods to enforce, but I’m not a huge fan of large amounts of Mando'a. If it makes sense for a scene (as in, characters are speaking Basic to one another and would include Mando'a for contextually necessary reasons) or has connotations that can’t be translated, then sure, but dropping in “ad'ika” or “gar gai” every few lines grates on me. Translation convention, please!
I do like the True Mandos but please don’t lionize them.
I have minimal interest in the Original Trilogy and no interest in the Sequels; my mind is squarely in the Prequels and pre-canon era. - That said, I do delight in having baby versions of the characters present; I am always open to toddler Skywalker twins cameo. - I’m not very into the Bad Batch. Cameos are fine.
No Barr*ssoka. No, not even as a background thing.
No Cod*wan. No, not even as a background thing. Preferably, no Jedi Master/Clone ships at all, but especially not Obi-Wan/Clones. (Knight/Clones is fine).
No Master/Padawan. I have exceptions when reading, but for an exchange, I’d prefer not to have any in my gift.
Vilifying Padme in the process of explaining why she isn’t with Anakin. She can be an ex, they could be in an open relationship, they could have not gotten in a relationship at all and just stayed friends, I don’t care, just… be nice about her.
The suggestion that Padme was mind-controlled into loving Anakin.
If you write Rebellion/OT setting versions of the ships, please don’t go hard on the clones being Old.
The word wh*re is considered a slur among many sex workers, and while I’m not among that category, I feel uncomfortable seeing it in contexts that don’t really justify it. If it’s a matter of characterization, to signify a character is a bad person, or part of a rougher underground community where it’s an in-group term, or a period setting, that’s one thing, but just as a part of dirty talk or an accusation or teasing? No, no thank you.

Okay. Anakin, attachment styles, relational trauma, anxious-preoccupied Anakin. We need to talk about anxious-preoccupied Anakin.
First, a short (or as short as I can make it) primer on what the phrase "attachment styles" even describes. This is absolutely not attachment in the Buddhist sense of attachment/nonattachment as describing ways of responding to the transient nature of all things. BUT unlike the many anti-Jedi takes I've seen, attachment in this context absolutely isn't synonymous with love, either (good GOD no!!!!!).
Attachment styles describe a common grouping of traits that characterize how a person connects to others in relationships. Each one can only really be understood in context. Typical models have four attachment styles for adults: secure, anxious-preoccupied, avoidant (subdivided into fearful avoidant and dismissive avoidant), and anxious-avoidant. The last 3 are collectively referred to as insecure attachment styles, essentially styles which arise when people don't feel safe enough in one way or another to refuse acting on conditioned survival responses.
While most attachment theory is focused on how attachment styles affect compatibility in romantic relationships, the reality is these can come out in any type of interpersonal relationship. The overwhelming amount of literature is also targeted to straight people as a default, but these dynamics are just as real (possible even more prevalent since heteronormativity exposes us to increased familial trauma) for queer people.
Attachment styles begin forming in infancy and are very difficult to change, especially as a teen or adult. It's taken me personally over 14 years of dedicated practice to get like 75% of the way there. To call it merely a habit or a personality trait would be vastly underestimating the situation.
Please do not take any of the clickbait littered all over the internet about attachment styles at face value for anything, even fiction, because it's misinformed as fuck. And please don't use this post as IRL medical advice.
Also, to get a few things out of the way: no, the Jedi did not abuse Anakin. Chancellor Palpatine sure did though. No, the Jedi did not deserve Order 66. It's literally a fictionalized Holocaust. Yes, Anakin did need care and intervention he didn't get, but also yes, the Jedi did have some form of therapy. Given our society's piss-poor track record for helping traumatized children IRL, I doubt anyone here has room to throw shade on them.
If you do feel like this post is describing you or someone you know, THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU EVIL. It is important to remember that human beings are immensely diverse. People of any one attachment style will still relate differently based on factors like risk tolerance, culturally imposed values, varying levels of altruism and self-interest, differing triggers and stress responses, levels of introversion/extroversion, and so on. Anakin is one example of the anxious-preoccupied attachment style put in a very extreme situation, in fiction, in the context of everyone watching/writing already knowing he would become Vader.
Secure Attachment
A secure attacher is someone comfortable relating to others and navigating healthy boundaries. They can give you space as needed without feeling abandoned, give and receive support without feeling smothered, communicate effectively in close relationships, and are comfortable showing vulnerability when it's appropriate to do so. Typically, this happens when a child's caregivers hit a nice balance of being emotionally available, allowing the child their autonomy, and fostering the natural development of emotional self-regulation skills.
I would posit the majority of Jedi are likely secure, as they are given plenty of socialization in the creche, their material needs are met unconditionally, they aren't expected to care for their caregivers and they are taught to be considerate of the impacts of their choices on others. The standard of emotional self-regulation for adult Jedi is high, but they're still allowed to co-regulate and seek help from eachother.
Secure attachment is considered the stablest state and the one in which relational concerns do not present a constant source of distress, disruption, or maladaptive survival behaviours. As such, it's also the style most conducive to practicing nonattachment in the Jedi sense of the word.
Anxious-Preoccupied (AP) Attachment
Anxious-preoccupied relational habits develop when a very young child's caregivers give care inconsistently or conditionally, or in adverse conditions where a child endures extensive coercion and abnormally high levels of uncertainty from an early age. In Anakin's case, while Shmi's parenting is fine, the fact that they could be sold apart from each other at any time, and that slaves are beaten and worse at their owner's whims, was a recipe for him to develop AP attachment.
The core mechanics of anxious-preoccupied attachment are driven by two trauma-based beliefs. 1.) An AP attacher fears connection can be witheld or love taken away from them at any time. 2.) An AP attacher does not believe they will be loved unconditionally and therefore feels they need to do something or else risk being disposed of.
Since the formative experiences come from an age when abandonment by one's caregivers all but garauntees actual physical death, many anxiously attached adults do not believe they could survive or function without their loved ones, or may find the thought so painful it represents a meaningless existence or a fate worse than death.
People with the AP attachment style may stay loyal to and stay close to someone who has hurt them regardless of how severely or how many times, even if they know the person is dangerous or malicious (like Vader does with Sidious). Because they see themselves as wanted only for what they can do/be/provide/live up to, they usually live in constant fear of being replaced in favour of someone better suited to their loved ones' wants and needs.
When triggered to the most extreme expression of their survival behaviours, an AP who loves you will do anything for you, no matter how difficult or painful it is for them- and sometimes even if it compromises their own moral integrity. They can be tempted to behave possessively or act out, but are also in danger of losing their own sense of self or having their autonomy subverted.
Often, the attempt to earn love comes out as some form of intense performance pressure: achieving enough, being funny enough, pretty enough, smart enough, helpful or useful enough etc etc. Taken with all the other signs of AP attachment Anakin shows, this is almost certainly the root of his hunger for praise.
"Earning" love usually also involves hiding the perceived "unwanted" parts of oneself, things like flaws, needs, vulnerabilities (this is why many APs struggle to say "No"). They may be unable to ask for support when it's needed, or may be able to ask but only in a very oblique/vague/stifled way. AP attachers tend to get very good at shrinking themselves emotionally or performing "acceptable" reactions (i.e. appearing contented or pleased when they're actually hurting). As would be expected of a slave.
This type of appeasement is almost certainly what Anakin is doing when he shuts down Ahsoka's attempts to get him to talk about his past as a slave, when he's vague with Yoda about his Force visions, when Padme has to ask him multiple times before he can tell her what's wrong, etc. It's basically a diffuse variant of the fawn response.
There's so much more left to say here but I'll have to continue/elaborate later. I'm gonna go touch grass. Reblog to give Anakin a headpat and tell him he's a good boy.

Hypnotic - Prologue
Sith!Obi Wan x Jedi!OC Explicit (18+) This story was originally completed in May of 2021, but I decided that I needed to expand and give it the time that it deserved. The original version still lives on Tumblr but I have it listed at the bottom of the Obi Wan Masterlist. Overall, I don’t think this will be changing much, but I don’t think I gave the story the justice that it deserves. So.. here we go!
Zara didn’t have a tragic backstory. She wasn’t someone that people felt pity for whenever they heard her name. The only loss she had really gone through was leaving her loving parents when it was time to train to be a Jedi. It was something her parents had expected: hiding her away until they felt like she was old enough to make the decision.
Zara wanted to be a Jedi and anything she put her mind to seemed to happen for her.
She was a small girl the first time she stood in front of Mace Windu. He had thought she was far too small to begin direct training, especially under him, but Yoda was right; she was stronger than she seemed. Zara had a certain determination and calmness behind her eyes that instantly gave Master Windu the connection he knew he needed when taking on a padawan.
Training under him wasn’t easy by any means. Zara was pushed to her limits, but she always pushed forward with grace and resiliency. Master Windu had worried when she became fast friends with Anakin Skywalker, but it never seemed to deter her from the path she was on.
She was one of the most dedicated padawans he had ever seen. Even if her compassion worried him, seeing her walk up to the scared boy and deciding they were friends was amusing. He wouldn’t admit it, but most of his tolerance for Anakin came from how easily Zara made friends with him. There was no hesitation, no questioning for her. She decided they would be friends and they never stayed apart from each other for long.
He held so much pride as he watched her grow into a young Jedi Knight. Other Masters would fret and worry about their padawans transitions, but not him. No, he knew that she would pass every test handed to her.
The only thing he could have possibly wanted to change was how quick with sarcasm she was. It shouldn’t have surprised him with how close she was with the Skywalker boy. He couldn’t really blame it on him though; she had always been a little shit when she wanted to be. Obedient to a fault but stars did she like to push his buttons.
He wouldn’t ever admit it to her, but he did find it endearing. Most of the time. There had been times when he was in a negotiation and instead of sitting back and letting him handle it, she would call out whoever was wrong; regardless of who it was. She had a way of saying the harshest things with a soft smile on her face.
He knew that deep down he wouldn’t change a thing about her. She was his star pupil, his prodigy. Possession was a straight path to the dark side but being proud of her accomplishments was the closest he would ever get to that. She was her own person and made her own choices, but he liked to think that even just a sliver of her success was due to his training.
Zara would have thrived under any Master. They all knew it. Despite that, she was thankful for having Master Windu train her and guide her through her trials. She wouldn’t admit it to him, but he meant a great deal to her. His approval and praise meant the world to her. She wasn’t competitive with the other padawans, short of small bets with Anakin. Knowing that she was getting stronger and making Master Windu proud was what spurred her on.
She was proud to be a Jedi Knight. Zara told Anakin many times that there wouldn’t ever be a single thing or person in the galaxy that could change that for her. Being a Jedi was her destiny and Zara Fross was hell bent that nothing would ever get in the way of that.

RULE UPDATE:
This is something that’s been happening recently and will stay a part of this blog & get added to Anakin’s blog as well, when he moves.
I love duplicates. I don’t really deal with duplicate anxiety. In fact, I feel like we clearly play the same characters because we love these characters. That said and this is more about people who write with me & them.  I pay attention to my dash. I read it like the morning paper. I know what pops up on it and what doesn’t. I also follow most, if not all Anakin’s, that I see pop-up, because I believe in supporting each other. If I am writing with someone and someone writes me a starter and then I see that they have wrote that exact same starter for another one, it kind of really irritates me.  It shows that you have no originality.  These are not open starters. That is you having no originality and wanting one plot with 50 Anakin’s and not wanting any originality. That said, I will block for it, because it’s happened 4 different times, and I am tired of it happening.
In addition to that, if I see you going through my blog and liking posts and then you write a starter based on an EXACT plot I had for your things, that also is something I don’t tolerate.  Don’t copy my plots.  I spend a lot of times fleshing them out, and I always notice.
I have a thread tracker, I also use Discord to track and I notice everything. Yes, this is put quite bluntly, but no one wants to see someone just trying to use any version of a character they can and re-using the same starter.
I literally always am willing to plot, and can usually come up with anything, whether it be action, pain, angst, smut, drama, fluff, etc.  And contrary to the fact that people think I don’t write happiness a lot, some of my ship partners will tell you, I do.
I’ll likely try to make this more concise in my rules.

Din Djarin standing next to R2-D2 on Ossus. Image from The Book of Boba Fett, Season 1, Episode 6, From the Dessert Comes a Stranger. Calendar from DataWorks.
Grogu was glad that his time at Luke’s Jedi Sleep Away Camp was at an end. He hadn’t had as much fun as he’d hoped he would and when he found out that Luke and Ahsoka had prevented his dad from seeing him, after the bounty hunter had made the effort to travel all the way to Ossus, well that was it! Grogu was at his wits end.
He supposed it was his own fault. Moff Gideon had tried very hard to hurt the Mandalorian and Grogu couldn’t tolerate that. He didn’t trust that Gideon and his cohorts wouldn’t find a way to come after them again. Instead of staying with his dad, Grogu decided that it was better to go with Luke and see how much he actually knew about being a Jedi.
As it turned out, Luke really didn’t know all that much. Grogu couldn’t really blame him for that, but he did think that Luke should have been more straight forward about his actual knowledge of the Jedi. He should have explained to Din Djarin, someplace private and out of Moff Gideon’s earshot, that he’d only had two Jedi masters train him and only for a short period of time and that he was Anakin Skywalker’s son, which meant he was Darth Vader’s son.
The masters at the Jedi Temple had been quite annoyed when Qui-Gon Jinn brought Anakin to the Jedi Temple because he was too old and had formed too many attachments. Okay, that wasn’t quite fair. Anakin had every right to be attached to his mom. But they didn’t bring her along and let her help him get used to the new environment. They left her on Tatooine. That wasn’t right. Grogu knew that.
So instead of being slowly eased into the Jedi way of life and guided on how to handle his fears for his mother, Anakin was just thrust into the Jedi culture with no friends and no one who understood what it was like for him. Grogu was technically the same age as Anakin. He had no idea who his parents were and 99% of the Jedi younglings and padawans were in the same boat. He didn’t miss what he never knew. But Anakin had known and that was very different.
Grogu had always suspected that once they were old enough and able to act more independently, that many of the knights and even some of the masters had sought out that information. They’d found their family and made peace with the process that took them from the home of their birth and brought them to a Jedi Temple to raised and trained by strangers.
Grogu also knew that Jedi had deep and long term friendships with each other and with the people who had trained them. And they didn’t all remain with the Jedi Order over time. Some left and made their own way, without falling to the Darkside or becoming Sith or anything like that.  They just stopped being part of the Order.
There had been a rumor for years that even Obi-Wan Kenobi had left the Order for a short time before returning and that he’d even considered leaving it again because of an attachment. Grogu didn’t know more details than that. The fall of the Temple had made such questions moot. Any who escaped had no home to return to and no one to talk to about it anyway. He knew that too well.
Taking all of that into consideration, Grogu had to wonder who taught Luke, or Ahsoka for that matter, that attachments were best managed by abandoning the other person? Grogu couldn’t imagine that Anakin had ever said that to Ahsoka and he had been her mentor for a good amount of time. It wouldn’t have been Obi Wan either.
That really just left Yoda. Grogu could tell based on Luke’s fighting style with the lightsaber that Yoda had been his master. How and where that came to be, Grogu didn’t know and he didn’t ask Luke. It wasn’t Grogu’s place to question a person who had helped when he was called to action.
But it also wasn’t reasonable for Grogu to take Luke’s statements to him about the Force and the Jedi Order without a considerable grain of salt. More like a boulder really. Grogu had spent over twenty years at the temple. He’d been in training his whole life there and then had to apply everything he had learned for the next 28 years. He’d forgotten more about the Force and the Jedi than Luke could possibly know.
The one thing he could never forget was the pain of the loss of his friends, masters, and home. He had been attached to them all and it was because of that attachment he had persisted over the years. He survived to honor their sacrifice and to fulfill his role. That attachment had given him strength and comfort and focus.
If Luke had done that, then perhaps the Mandalorian would have waited longer. He would have known to give Grogu a chance to meet with him outside of Luke’s obsession with physical fitness and Ahsoka’s reticence to be hurt by anyone ever again. He would have realized that Grogu had his hands full trying to train the young Jedi in the ways of the Force without Luke realizing that he was the one being trained.
After all, Grogu had managed to save Din Djarin more than once without the Mandalorian realizing that Grogu was a Jedi, the sworn enemy to Mandalorians and even when the Armorer explained it, they both thought he was too helpless to be an enemy. But that wasn’t quite correct. He was too attached to the person who rescued him from the Imps to cause him or any other Mandalorian harm.
Grogu had learned that attachments provided a powerful framework for peace and he was glad of that. People should be peaceful. This was Grogu’s way. Good thing he was prepared for it.

Watch "Sicario: Day of the Soldado: Miguel assassinates Alejandro (HD CLIP)" on YouTube
youtube
In this season they killed Alejandro and that's John remillard, that a boy do it and he hates him and it's not his grandson. Well it is it doesn't care about him but the woman in the car is Lily and they knifter in the spine he revives her. And later is killed by Lily. But you do see Alejandro shoot Sarah but she comes back as does Lily and Jason. There's a moral to the story that's far what we're talking about number one is do not sit on her son and threaten him or you did meat. The second one is don't sit there doing it until your army is gone so your daughter dies fully and you get shot in the head more than anybody's ever been shot in the head before this freaks been shot in the head twice this week. And he's a worm okay this guy is a real disgusting person and we don't want him around. He's a pain in the ass okay and a low life and a loser just nobody who flops around more and loses more stuff from this realm than him he's an amazing loser is sitting next door annoying people it just sit there tolerating this piece of crap. Sylvia gets hit in cesario and then he comes back but he also shot Dan and Dan is in this movie and he shoots Silvio like 50 times and he just keeps coming back the same guy one day he said he's going to finish it Sean look 100 times and they brought him back I mean it's disgusting the guy's brain is gone he's a totally idiot. And this is what's going on all the time here just just a pile of wild cards around our son he will threaten for tons of stuff and it fails. Sarah comes back a few times, but she is eventually killed and in a very bad way in by cannibals. Our son has seen the movie had no idea who she is. It's one of the most repulsive scenes you'll ever witness and you guys play it out quite often and you deserve to do it to each other but this one reason why we don't want you near our son
Thor Freya
The meeting went well afterwards well most of them can't hold anything they're deciding all sorts of things to do about the meeting and the plan and more and are nuts most of them are completely insane the max can't hold their breath anymore and they're saying we need to eradicate them these fools don't care about anything and they're completely gonzo
That's what we're saying they ran home and started forming ranks to try and take over they could have stopped attacking and started populating we probably would have led them but now they have no use what they're doing is just trying to break in and take over everything and bja live the way and I'm really tired of this guy Tommy f what you are sacrilegious f** you suck so bad what you're saying to people is illegal and you look like Anakin by the way and we know what happens to BGA he's playing Luke Skywalker and disappears off skelleg is incinerated instantly and it's for having a friend here walk up the silver mountain
Mac daddy
And a lot of other stuff you're a big mouth bja you're a nasty piece of s*** and you deserve it
Daniel
You're so evil and nasty to him you're such a prick you decide to get the truth out there and now that we saw that you're dead in the movie you guys you freaks just sit there doing whatever you want cuz you say you're dead you end up dead faster. It's almost sad to see you go some of you know you're horrendous and he says it too when you're in the natural form you go on saying it and it's gross you don't have a heart or a memory or you don't have any skill what are you going to do two little girls are going up to him and trying to touch him or something and she moves away quick and they're kind of laughing at him and it says look and moves means he was going to say what are you doing and that kind of stuff you look like you're 10 years old it's disgusting who the hell would fall for something you can't fall for it's really weird you know how about a drink I mean you know let it start there but you're not doing anything like it and he says I have warts. Sign something to see something why don't you look at like the plague and really if you ever had worse they're hard to get rid of and we need to help him with it it's a sickness it's not that bad but a lot of people are afraid of him touching them and he doesn't care at all except for the worst or a pain sometimes they're painful and it's got too many of them and we know the curious you don't let him have it and discuss the assholes

The entire run of this comic up to this point has been exactly like this--Vader trying to find Padme’s body while the people of Naboo still loyal to Padme try to stop him, where Anakin is coming face to face with a past in both the current time and in his own red-tinged memories, his brutal coldness at refusing to engage with them as Anakin Skywalker, his brutal murder of anyone who steps in his way, that the most he offers Sabe is a willingness to let her go if she leaves now, to leave her in the dirt next to Padme’s tomb. The way the comic uses Vader’s memories, the sweet moments from The Phantom Menace and occasionally Attack of the Clones, the way the red seems to swing back and forth between painfully haunting to something almost sweetly warm and then back to ruthlessly cutting into Vader, to catch up to the current vision--that everything up to this point in red has been a memory, something to parallel the current timeline but never quite touching it, always still separate, but then it’s crashing right into the current time. Vader’s perspective is no longer just softer moments from the movies, it’s no longer sweet memories of Padme (contrasted against the cruel things he’s doing to those very people in the current time, but sweet memories all the same), but the red-tinted perspective of what he’s done now.  The Amidalans that he’s cut down now are shown in the same filter that has shown all those memories.  The people and creatures and things of Naboo that he has cut down in his path towards Padme’s grave, that everything that was a reminder of her and this planet she came from, that has stood in his way, has been cut down. And you can’t deny that Anakin and Vader are the same person, that what drives Vader is what drove Anakin.  That his memories aren’t of a separate person, no matter how hard Vader is trying to kill off that part of himself that is in horrific pain. The way he looks over them, their pained groans because they feel they’ve failed Padme, they’re sorry because they couldn’t do more for her name, contrasted against everything he’s done for Padme that isn’t really about what she wanted at all, then crashing the two perspectives, Anakin’s memories and Vader’s current point of view, it’s just an absolute explosion of tension leading up to what is always one of the most central themes of connection between the OT and the PT:  Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker. None of this feels accidental, right up to Vader’s final memory before it turns into his current perspective:
Tumblr media
“I made this for you, so you’d remember me.” Fucking woof. What a note to deliver it home with. Little Anakin Skywalker wanted to be remembered. Big Anakin Skywalker is murdering everything that ever could possibly remember him. This is the story of Darth Vader between ROTS and ANH, it was the same with the 2017 comic, where every single story in that comic was about Vader trying to murder the people who remembered him, the people who represented paths he could have chosen instead of this one, trying to murder the core of himself when he couldn’t bring Padme back.  It was about him violently rejecting the knowledge that Obi-Wan would have accepted him back, if he’d gone to him. This is the story of Vader and Ahsoka’s confrontation in Rebels, where he can’t tolerate her living because she remembers him as he used to be.  Even when she was willing to accept him again, said she wouldn’t leave him, not this time, he was still going to kill her because he just could not tolerate it. He could not tolerate being remembered as he was versus what he had done and who he was now. But he can’t ever really kill that part of himself.  He can’t separate the two out, no matter how much he tries or the narrative sets up the two as different.  Those perspectives eventually will crash into each other and merge into one, because Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker. Even if he murders everyone who ever remembered him, he will still always remember Anakin Skywalker.
