Timeless love. Chapter 1, Unspoken.

Yuki Amano found herself standing at a distance, her gaze fixed on Izuku Midoriya, the boy who had captured her heart with his unwavering determination and kind heart. Conflicting emotions churned within her as she watched him walk confidently among his peers, his green hair standing out like a beacon of hope and strength in the bustling schoolyard.

Despite her admiration for him, there seemed to be an insurmountable chasm between them. She, a recluse, too shy to speak to him, while he, a hero in the making, destined for greatness. The thought of them being together felt like a distant dream, shrouded in doubt and uncertainty.

Her heart burned with desire for him, yet it was frozen with doubt and fear. What could he possibly see in her—a plain and unremarkable girl who preferred the company of books over people? And yet, she couldn't shake off her feelings for him.

Interrupting her thoughts, a voice called out her name, and she turned to see her classmate, Hitoshi, waving her over. Reluctantly tearing her gaze away from Izuku, she made her way towards Hitoshi, wondering if he could sense the turmoil within her.

As they walked to their next class together, Yuki stole a few glances at Izuku, her heart aching with longing and confusion. She couldn't predict what the future held for them, but she knew one thing for certain—she would always carry a piece of him with her, no matter what.

During lunch period, Yuki sat at her usual spot in the bustling school cafeteria. The familiar sounds of students chattering and laughing surrounded her, creating a comforting background noise. She took a small sip of her coconut milk, relishing in its cool, refreshing taste that calmed her jittery nerves.

Her gaze drifted over to the noisy group of students at the neighboring table, where Izuku Midoriya was engrossed in conversation with Uraraka. A pang of jealousy and insecurity shot through her, despite knowing that she had no right to feel that way. After all, she and Izuku barely interacted.

Watching him so close to someone else stirred a deep ache in her heart. She couldn't help but compare herself to Uraraka, wondering if she fell short in Izuku's eyes. The air seemed charged with energy, a mixture of excitement and confusion, as their words bounced off each other.

Unbeknownst to Yuki, her form was also the object of Izuku's lingering gaze. His eyes mirrored her longing, a silent symphony of unspoken words and unanswered questions. He yearned to bridge the gap between them, to hold her tight and pour out his love into the wind, yet the weight of destiny held him back.

Uraraka slumped in her chair, rambling on about her test with a worried expression, while Iida nodded and offered words of encouragement. Todoroki quietly ate his cold soba, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Next to Yuki sat Shinso Hitoshi, quietly filling out a sudoku game on her phone. They shared a silent companionship, bonded by their introverted natures and love for puzzles. Shinso found solace in their friendship, especially with his insomnia.

As Yuki took another sip of her coconut milk, trying to distract herself from her feelings, she couldn't shake the nagging sensation that something was off. Glancing at Izuku again, her heart fluttered at the sight of him. She longed to know him and understand the connection she felt towards him.

Little did she know, Izuku felt the same way. He longed to tell her the truth, to reveal the history they shared, but he knew he had to tread carefully. Time was fragile, and they were both walking a delicate line.

The cafeteria was a symphony of chaos, yet amidst the whirlwind of activity, two hearts beat in perfect rhythm. Their past and future were entwined like a delicate dance, waiting to be uncovered and explored. Unaware of the invisible strings that bound them together, they sat in their worlds, watching each other with longing and unspoken words.

As the bell rang and the students dispersed, Yuki left the cafeteria with Shinso by her side, her steps heavy with unspoken words and unfulfilled desires. Little did she know of, Izuku's gaze following her, a silent plea waiting to be forged in the flames of destiny.

I'm developing an original story inspired by the MHA universe, like having schools dedicated to training heroes. In my story, the protagonist has a power, but is bullied because his power are considered useless to be a hero. He receives a type of power, which transforms his power into something new, I'm still thinking about how it works. Does this seem like copying from MHA?

This is a question I’ve pondered over myself. There are parts of MHA that inspire me to make my own superhero stories but I’m always worried about accidentally plagiarizing something. I have three questions that you can ask yourself to start off with:

1. How does this power work? OFA’s a stockpile quirk and an ability enhancer. If you wanna try something different, maybe have it so that your character’s quirk combines with the quirk they receive. An example is the following: Mina has an acid quirk. Mustard has a sleep gas quirk. If the two were to combine, Mina might gain the additional power of creating corrosive gas or she could fire poisonous gas in addition to her normal acid attacks. If your character has a small flame quirk and the pro hero gives them an explosion quirk, you can have it so that the small flame quirk fuels the explosions and makes them more powerful.

2. How do your original characters differ from Izuku and All Might? What makes them tick? Why should their stories be told? Now, that’s not to say that there can’t be a lot of overlap between your OCs and the DekuMight dynamic, but there should be something that makes them unique. Maybe your character will actually reflect on their past and make their goal to prevent what happened to them from happening to anyone else. Maybe the character who gives your OC their power up is more involved in Underground work instead of being in the limelight. Perhaps they’re not a hero to begin with, but a vigilante? Who’s to say they’re even a good guy to begin with and instead they kidnapped your character to preform experiments on them. You can even have them get their powers by accident or through any other way you’d like. This also goes for your other OCs. How much of an influence on the story does the bullies have? Are they also in the MC’s class or are they off being hooligans after not getting accepted into their dream school? If they’re playing an active role in the story, do you wish to redeem them or do you wish to have them fall into the path of villainy?

3. How does the world around them work? Is there any differences between MHA’s hero society and your world’s? What do the top heroes look like? How do people get their powers? Is it a genetic mutation like with quirks or are there aliens living on Earth and their offspring inherits some of their abilities?

Keep in mind that a lot of popular media is influenced by other popular media. Marvel’s Thanos was inspired by Darkseid, but the Mad Titan and the God of Destruction have enough going for them that people can easily tell the difference between their characteristics. Spy x Family and Buddy Daddies have very similar premises and overlap in some ways, but they also have aspects that allows people to differentiate between the two, letting them co-exist without one being considered a rip-off by the general public. Hopefully this helps 😊

the liberation war has taken its pause, and izuku has become a vigilante. as class 1A's rescue plan commences, a new villain arrives. her quirk, universal, has sent izuku midoriya to another universe. this is unknown territory. this world has no quirks, no heroes, just normal human beings. there, he meets himari yua. a high school girl who aspires to become a principal dancer. when a weird villain threatens her hometown, izuku makes it his mission to defeat the villain and find a way back home.

His Clogged Heart Part 2

[Lessons]

Summary:You get caught up in a villain attack! Luckily Izuku came in to save you and others! That's the first thing that begins to make Izuku more... human.

Your quirk:Cards. This quirk is pretty similar to Compress's. The user can touch someone and they turn into a playing card, like for example if the user touched someone, they would be the picture on the 8 of Spades, and unable to move. The user can then use that person's quirk if they wanted, and to free the person, they rip the card in half. If someone other than the user rips the card in half to free the person, they end up killing the person trapped in the card

The crash and screams gets your attention and you grab the plastic bag before running in the direction. You pushed against the current of citizens running away in terror when you reach the location of the crash. You stop and stare with wide eyes at the giant bank that was set on fire from an explosion. Where the heck are the heroes and fire department?! You thought to yourself while looking around.

Just then a villain walks out of the bank, carrying bags of money and laughing. "Man! That was too easy!" He triumphantly says. He hasn't seen you yet so this was the perfect time to detain him! You weren't at UA for nothing. You quietly run up to touch him and trap him in a card but suddenly a tentacle grabs you and pulls you around to the front so the villain could get a good look at you.

You tried getting free but the villain's quirk was keeping you trapped. "Ha! Look at this point human trying to stop me!! Look pretty young to be out on the field little girl!" He retorts. "I am a third year at UA and YOU are a big idiot!" You snap back, causing the villain to constrict you tighter. "And why's that??" He asks glaring.

Your finger touches his tentacle and it disappears, a playing card of 3 of hearts appearing in your hand. It had a picture of his tentacle on it. So his tentacles aren't attached to him. You mentally note. But it didn't take long before another tentacle grabs you and slams you into a building and then into the ground a few feet away. You cry out in pain as he releases you. You stand up and wince as you look down at your right wrist.

Welp that is definitely broken. Surprised that's all I broke! You thought to yourself, ignoring the warm red liquid sliding down the side of your head. You stand up on your wobbly legs, only to see a familiar flash of green come out of nowhere and knock the villain out with one strike. Your eyes widen at how fast Deku had taken him down.

He turns ho gaze over to you and his eyes widen before running over to you. "You're bleeding!" He points out. "I know but it's not that bad!" You quickly reassure him, carefully poking the wound on the side of your head. "You're bleeding from your legs too!" He once again points out. You look down and see blood trickling down your knee. How did I not see that?

Before you could reply, police sirens are heard in the distance and in an instant, Deku scoops you up bridal style in his arms and activated his quirk getting away from the scene quickly.

You sat on the couch, staring at your boyfriend's hands as he bandages up your knee and head so gently and caring, like you were made of glass. It honestly made you feel a bit better, have been reminded that he did this while you two were at UA as well. You look up from his scarred arms and hands at his face. He still looked unfamiliar, and eyes almost lifeless.

But it was different now. He looked more.. alive. He looked like he was starting to return to normal. You smile as he finishes up and he notices this. "What's with the smile?" Deku asks, tilting his head. "Nothing.. just happy to be with you again." You mutter quietly before gently wrapping your arms around him. His eyes widened slightly and body stiffened for a moment before relaxing into your touch and wrapped his arms around you too.

You stay like that for a while before pulling away and locking your lips into a kiss. It didn't last long and it was only a little peck, but if sent tingles down your spine! The feeling still dancing along your lips. You had kissed him in so long! You felt like you would just burst from happiness. Deku couldn't help but smile too. You two stared at each other silently for a moment before you remembered what you were doing.

"Oh yeah!" You say and grab the plastic shopping bag and showing it to Izuku. "I bought some stuff from the store! I was thinking.. I could cook your favorite curry tonight." You offer, blushing slightly. But you relaxed once Deku nodded almost immediately. "Of course. I'll help!" He says before standing up while smiling. The most genuine smile you have gotten from him.

You happily follow him to the kitchen and start cutting and cooking and boiling water, preparing rice, etc. You couldn't help glancing over at Deku once in a while, melting your heart everytime you saw he was still happily smiling.

He was charging. He was starting to be restored once again! It would still take some time, but his heart is slowly coming unclogged.

Slowly, he Izuku is coming back...

It wasn't fair , he was the one that watched her favourite episode of that TV show again and again and again simply cause it was her favourite and she said its more fun to watch it with someone else , he's the one that helped her at the night terrors and got up in the middle of the night to make sure she got some sleep, he was the one to listen to her rants about how her otp should be canon, he was the one that knew each one of her favourite songs by heart just so they can sing them together whenever she turned them on , it was him that knew her better than anybody and it was him that would tell Dabi to fuck off anytime he made a rude comment. HIM ! Not her , not Uraraka or whatever her name was , she's on top of everything in the hero course at UA ! Didn't Kieru hate heroes ? Wasn't she she one that said all the people at this school were pretentious fucks ? But suddenly one of those pretentious fucks got a little too interesting to her I guess cause look who's she's drooling over now ! The boy gulped a little as he tried to calm down , his anger was stupid Kieru is a smart person and it's her desicion who she likes , Izuku knew he was just jelous but how can he not be ? He barely realised he had her back in his life , before he started developing feelings and yeah he felt guilty to feel this way about his friend he felt like he's betraying her trust , but how could she just like that start crushing on a random hero coursed girl that would probably throw Kieru in jail in the second if she knew who Kieru was , but maybe its for the better he's got no excuse to not move on now , it's only fair that way Kieru deserved a best friend that isn't constantly thinking about her in that way that would actually be able to listen to her rants without spacing out looking at her eyes just so that she'll have to repeat everything again or would lose any brain function simply cause she decided to wear tight-high socks socks with a skirt that day. He owed her to be a better friend and accepting that she had her eyes on someone else was the first step.

Same Dream, Different Heroes (Synopsis)

UA University, the place where heroes want to dive further into their careers, taking a jump into adulthood, and discovering themselves through the challenges they never would’ve thought they’d face. One of those students is Adrianne Morlaski, a young second-year who is excelling in her career - or at least was. After an incident that caused her license to be suspended, Adrianne is given the incentive to mentor three first years at this prestigious college in order to regain her license and officially save heroes once again. Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, and last but not least, Katsuki Bakugou.

With her life and career on the line, Adrianne is determined to get her license back without any issues, but with her new job, she has more to discover about herself, her new mentees, and especially the hero world she had worked so hard to get into.

Summary: Headcannons of Izuku with a S/O who’s a vigilante at night. This is how you guys meet/sort of how you get together. I’m thinking of making this an ongoing thing! (Also I drew some inspo from a vigilante!Izuku fic called Pied Piper @askpiedpiper , check it out i’m only on like chapter 15)

Warnings: Slight violence, criminal activity, blood mentioned, S/O is also legally a criminal, passing out

- You guys probably met because Izuku was a fan of yours

- You were well known in your city for your honorable deeds and handsome feats

- One video went viral of you, a hero and you working together to take down a criminal

- The hero let you go out of respect, a “one time thing”

- It wasn’t

- In the same way that Izuku went to All Might conventions he would visit stores/cafes in the city you were most often seen

- In your beginning years as a vigilante you weren’t as good at sneaking about

- You literally watched Izuku get pick-pocketed two feet in front of you

- Neither party saw you from the shadows but you jumped out when the thief was far enough away from Izuku

- Smothered poor man with your thighs until he passed out - don’t ask how

- You picked up the stolen wallet to ensure that it really belonged to the kid down the alley

- “Woah he’s pretty”

- As you’re admiring the kid in the ID said boy is staring at you while his heart is skipping beats

- Please save him he’s going to die

- You approach him hoping that he isn’t another villain and won’t knock you the fuck out

- “You’re (vigilante name)-!”

- After giving back the wallet he can barely say anything before you’re off onto the next person to save

- In your defense, you didn’t think you actually had any fans that didn’t include undercover heroes

- You guys meet again at UA when you realize you’re in the same class

- After a while of becoming good “friends”

- You bang on his window, covered in blood

- Probably just yours (it’s not)

- He patches you up after fretting and grilling you for answers

Midnight Musings. Whimsical Ideas.

In Izuku Midoriya's cozy living room, the atmosphere was charged with a mix of determination and camaraderie as Izuku, Yuki, Shinso, and Denki gathered to solve the misunderstanding between their friends. While Izuku was busy jotting down practical solutions in his notebook, Yuki was animatedly pitching ideas that ranged from bizarre to downright absurd.

"I think we should organize a surprise romantic dinner for them!" Yuki exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she bounced in her seat.

Shinso raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Um, Yuki, I don't think that's—"

"—practical at all," Izuku finished, giving Yuki a fond smile. "But I appreciate the enthusiasm. Maybe we could consider something a bit more low-key?"

Yuki pouted playfully, crossing her arms over her chest. "Fine, be that way. But mark my words, someday someone's going to thank me for my genius romantic gestures!"

Izuku chuckled softly, his heart swelling with affection for the girl beside him. Despite her unconventional ideas, there was something undeniably endearing about Yuki's earnestness and creativity.

As they continued to brainstorm, Izuku couldn't help but be reminded of the time he had hidden under Yuki's bed, listening to her act out her daydreams with a fictional character named Mikaela. It was a memory that still made his cheeks flush with embarrassment, but also filled him with a sense of warmth and nostalgia.

Lost in his thoughts, Izuku found himself stealing glances at Yuki, marveling at the way her eyes lit up with passion and excitement as she pitched her outlandish ideas. She was unlike anyone he had ever met, a whirlwind of contradictions and quirks that never failed to keep him on his toes.

As they worked together to find a solution to their friends' problem, Izuku couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over him. For in Yuki, he had found not only a friend but a kindred spirit, someone who accepted him for who he was and challenged him to be the best version of himself.

With a smile, Izuku turned his attention back to the task at hand, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead with Yuki by his side. For as long as they were together, he knew that anything was possible.

so! while you are the first result for "anyone ao3" you are not the only result, and i saw that ao3 has a tag for 'reader/anyone' which i'm sure is for a perfectly logical reason, but now i'm just picturing poor anyone!izuku coming across x reader fic with the 'leader of anyone'. how weird do you think the public's headcanons are?

Congratulations, Anon! I had never considered it so you're now responsible for putting Izuku through pain.

I don't read character/reader fics so if I get something wrong, I apologize.

Izuku is a hero fan so he knows the sacro-saint rule of "NEVER READ FICS ABOUT YOURSELF". However, it's harder to avoid fanarts and even if Anyone doesn't show their face, people have headcanons until the most common design is someone blond, with piercing blue eyes, gender ambiguous and very tall.

So yes, they basically see him as a Young All Might. But there is a reason for that! It's because the first person to use their design were vaguely aware that there was someone in Anyone who beat several villains and even heroes and it was clear that said agent has a power-type quirk so people kinda subconsciously assimilated them to All Might.

But after some time (when the Anyone Might was pretty settled to make things awkward), people started to inform every Anyone/readers writer or readers that they might not be sure about the gender (because I learned during Halloween that the Anyone hoodie is very good at hiding gender) but they are definitely a teenager.

Some people kept the Anyone with a power-type quirk because it's fiction inspired by RL and other orphaned their fics and started writing a new Anyone character with another type of quirks. The Anyone Might designed was often kept though tweaked depending on the writer/artist and the most popular quirk for this fictional Anyone 2.0 was technopathy for reasons I will explain later. As for the Hosu vigilante, when he appeared, they were an impulsive sibling type of character.

So, I said that Izuku wouldn't even make eye contact with fics involving Anyone or the Hosu vigilante.

But Dabi and Hawks would. Because they're assholes. They would read it out loud in the bar just to mess with Izuku. And Izuku will probably change the locks of Dabi's apartment and leave him homeless for it. But because of that, Izuku and the rest of the inner circle would learn about the characterization of Fandom!Anyone. Which would be... A villain with dark grey morality, will do things because he gets bored easily so they run after thrills, manipulative, magnificent bastard, but fiercely protective of the reader.

So basically, AFO.

There is also a reason for that. Villain/reader are a popular thing and in the last decade, a writer has flooded the tag with their OC (and for some reason, the reader was often a scientist helping the villain) so the characterization marked the fandom and it was recycled several times.

But some readers aren't a fan of a near-villainous vigilante so there is another characterization. A no-nonsense, sarcastic, blasé Fanon!Anyone. And this fanon!Anyone always have a quirk aligned with technology.

Basically, they transplanted the personality of my favorite hacker and very known mod for the Anyone server, aka Gwen, aka Nagisa, to their OC. And sometimes, they use quotes on what she said on the server.

So many people in the Anyone inner circle are just... suffering.

Just for curiosities sake, what are the izuku-centric fan fiction tropes that you cannot stand?

i'm going to answer this not just to this specific anon, but to the general audience of my blog.

to preface, none of these tropes are inherently bad. i'm not arguing that they shouldn't be written, or that people who write them are bad, or that they are bad writing. all i'm saying is that my taste in izuku-centric stories is very particular, and i keep running up against new things that rub me the wrong way.

izuku has a quirk: there are so many fics where the premise is just "izuku has X quirk instead of being quirkless," and i almost invariably find these annoying. usually it's just the author showing off this cool idea for a quirk they came up with, and they use izuku instead of creating an OC because cringe culture has made people ashamed to just make their own characters for stuff like this. for me, it just feels like people aren't writing an izuku-centric story, they're writing their own story and using Izuku's name.

izuku is quirkless and that means he's lesser: i can't tell you how many quirkless izuku fics i have started with high hopes only to turn away in disappointment when it became clear that the author wasn't thinking through how izuku could accomplish things without a quirk. so many stories let izuku stay quirkless, but then insist that obviously because he's quirkless he can't be expected to perform as well as he does in canon. there's always things he can't do, limitations he has to accept, and he's not allowed to aim too high. which brings us to our next trope.

izuku has to be an underground hero: a lot of quirkless izuku fics will just flat out say that izuku can't hope to be a spotlight hero and he has to go underground. most fics paint it as not even the obvious choice, but the only choice. the option to be a spotlight hero, a public figure than can inspire others, is never on the table. there's this strong undercurrent of underground heroes being more realistic, but "realistic" always feels like another way of saying "lower your expectations."

izuku can't be a hero so he's a vigilante: i can come up with exactly one fun way to play with this and i've never seen it done. ever. usually izuku isn't even fighting for a specific reason, he just couldn't be a hero so he settled for vigilante. this is always ignoring the fact that the market is way oversaturated with heroes to the point where they're tripping over each other to stop petty crimes. the problem in the bnha world isn't that there's just so much crime they need all hands on deck. the problem is that heroes are public figures that are using their fame to get rich rather than push society forward. without the public figure aspect, being a vigilante is just spitting in the wind.

dadzawa is the only competent teacher at UA: i get that it's fun to make aizawa a better teacher. he's kind of a mixed bag in canon so throwing out the bad parts and focusing on the good parts to make a heartwarming story is good and valid. however, i don't like aizawa as much as everyone else, so it really annoys me when he's portrayed as a perfect teacher, and especially when all the other teachers are nerfed so he can save the day.

inko is an absolute monster: i get that inko's not a great parent. she makes a lot of mistakes. but making her an absolute monster is unnecessary. i've seen fics where she kicks izuku out, leaves him on his own for weeks on end, beats him, blames him for his father leaving, glorifies herself for taking care of a defective child, and locks him in a steel box for hours or days. this is always so that dadzawa (or the author's surrogate parents of choice) can sweep in and take izuku away from this awful life, and the whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

izuku uses "deku" as a hero/vigilante/screen name: honestly i just really don't like it. i get that the show is trying to do a thing about reclaiming insults, but like . . . it's not doing it very well.

izuku has to pretend to be a villain and scares everyone: the newest addition to my list, which is why i made the original post. i knew fics like this existed but i had never really read any, and i hadn't really thought much about it until a fic with an entirely different premise that i was reading took an abrupt turn into this trope. that really shocked me and made me very upset, and for a while i struggled to articulate why. then i realized it comes down to the idea that izuku is only skilled when he's acting like a villain. this plot relies on the idea that no one realized izuku was badass when he was acting like a hero, but once he switches roles he suddenly becomes terrifyingly competent. this implies, whether the implication is intended or not, that izuku's skills are better suited to villainy than heroism. the idea that izuku is only hypercompetent when he's causing chaos and destruction is annoying to me because it says that izuku's lifetime of study on how to be a hero has somehow prepared him to be a villain rather than a hero. it's downplaying his hero skills and attributing to izuku a set of villain skills that mostly seem to be completely fabricated. again, this is not a bad trope, but i can't get over the implications of it even though i'm sure they aren't intentional.

to clarify, this is a list of pet peeves. this is not a prescription or a guide. this is not a list of sins you must not commit. you can write whatever you want and i will defend your right to do so. however, this list is also not up for debate. you're not going to change my mind about what i find annoying. please don't send me recs for fics that do these things but you still think are good, because i won't read them.
