Andrew’s VG Comics #1: Mappy Too
I really like video games and I like to make jokes, so I started making some Video Game comics a while ago. I don’t really make them on a schedule, but there’s a bunch already on Twitter that I’m gonna start trickling in here.

[Comic] KC Deluxe Super Mario World vol. 7 (scans cleanup)
This isn't a new scanlation, but a smaller project to just tidy up scans of a missing volume of my favourite Mario manga. Kazuki Motoyama's "Super Mario" meta-series spans 43 volumes, most of which were available on the old abusuzuki blog. The only one missing from this great resource (apart from the original SMB3 guide-manga) was the 13th overall volume and the seventh to wring material out of Super Mario World. Fortunately the ever-dependable Ragey got a hold of this volume and uploaded scans.
As a way to get back in the scanlation habit, I took these raw scans and straightened them out, cropped them, boosted the brightness a bit, and scaled them down slightly, all with the intent of matching the format and condition of the existing abusuzuki scans so they could fit in with the overall collection. That's all I did; these are still in Japanese. Translating the entire run is a job way too big for me to consider at the moment!
Volume 7 is a lot of fun, featuring Motoyama's signature blend of comedy and action, with parodies of kaiju movies, Ultraman-style media, Thunderbirds, and more, as well as a nod to the depiction of King Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Even if you can't read the language there's a lot to enjoy in the art here!
Along with the entire rest of the run, these are now being hosted on Internet Archive thanks to Elemhunter. Browse their profile name for the other Motoyama volumes and a lot of other cool stuff!

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.
what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.
you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.

We all know that Astarion has some of the best lines in the game but nobody - NOBODY - told me how softly Gale's VA delivers that "I forget my Goddess" line... the breathlessness? the yearning?? hello

(28) Ace Attorney comic 02- thinking…
Phoenix Wright looks like your average cheery protagonist but he is exasperated by everything and constantly thinking sarcastic one-liners about how stupid everyone else is (including his own friends).
Miles Edgeworth’s sprites make him look like he is about to murder a man but in reality he cant because he’s too busy thinking about his samurai show special interest and having staring contests with himself in the mirror and saying ergo and eureka in the lamest possible contexts.
