Watching Horror Movie with Floyd
Tumblr media
Its time for the chaotic characters this time. We all know how crazy and silly it would be to watch a horror movie with Floyd , so I'm writing for him this time. I will not use the movie Jaws for Floyd however, that movie choice has been used too much with him and I prefer something different for him. Enjoy! :)
Floyd Leech🦐 + Scream😱
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🦐Heading to Mostro Lounge, you were looking for a particular Eel, as you had planned something for the both of you tonight. Looking from side to side, you saw Jade serving customers, but you didn't see his brother, Floyd. "Boo~", someone had said that behind you, making you jump, as you turned to see who it was.
🦐You realized it was Floyd, showing you his bright sharp-tooth smile, while laughing at your reaction. "FLOYD! that wasn't funny," you said as while punching his arm. "Ah gomenasai, Shrimpy-chan~ Your reactions are always so cute." He said that, as he bent down a bit to get closer to your face, while poking your cheek with his finger. Remembering what you wanting to ask him, you told Floyd that you were planning a horror movie night at your dorm, and wanted him to come over.
🦐The smile on Floyd's face got wider, as he jumped towards you, pulling you into his famous squeeze hugs. He was ecstatic that you were inviting him over for a fun night. Rocking you side to side, he said yes to your invitation. After about a few minutes of squeezing, Floyd finally let you go, saying he had to tend to the lounge, despite him not wanting to, but he rather get work done then deal with an angry Azul. Nodding your head, you reminded Floyd to head to your dorm around 8 pm, and to wear his pajamas. Floyd smiled and said okay, ruffling your hair before walking away.
🦐Later in the evening, you were busy setting up the living room with blankets and candles. The table was scattered with a variety of junk food, ranging from gummy worms to shrimp chips. You also prepared some takoyaki for Floyd since it was his favorite.
🦐Rapid banging could be heard from the door, so you rushed over there quickly. Upon opening the door, you see Floyd standing with a wide smile, dressed in a shark blanket. Laughter erupted from your mouth as you couldn't handle how silly and cute Floyd was. Floyd was a bit annoyed that you were laughing at him, but he calmed down when you told him that it was because he looked very cute.
🦐The both of you headed towards the living room, as you headed towards the TV to place the video in while Floyd ran towards the couch and plopped on it. "Ne, Shrimpy-chan~ What movie are we watching?" said Floyd, as he started grabbing snacks from the table. Walking to the couch, you sat next to Floyd, explaining to him that the movie was a very popular horror movie from your world. Getting comfortable on the couch, you laid back while also grabbing the takoyaki from the table and handing it to Floyd. Smiling, Floyd grabbed it, and laid his head on your lap, placing the food on his belly.
🦐Couple minutes into the movie, your whole body was shaking from how much Floyd was laughing when on your lap as the death scenes were too comedic for him. His favorite character was Stu as he was just as silly as he was. Floyd did get quiet during certain moments when the scenes changed in the movie, almost like he was interested in how different your world looked compared to his.
🦐The next scene started playing where it got to the main character discovering who the villains were in the movie, her boyfriend and Stu, and what their motives were for killing. "The boyfriend needs to die", Floyd said, as he gazed at the screen with an angry face, most likely not agreeing with his reasoning for killing all the characters and the main. "I agree with you," as you placed your hand on his head.
🦐Both you and Floyd jumped in fright, at the "one last scare" scene, then relaxed as Sidney defeated the boyfriend. Credits started to roll on the TV, as you grabbed the remote and turned it off. You looked down at Floyd and asked him if he enjoyed the movie. Floyd nodded, as he got up from your lap and stretched, making some of his bones crack.
🦐Looking back at the clock, you realized how late it had gotten, and that it was time to head to bed. You were about to tell Floyd that he could take the bed and you can sleep on the couch, but Floyd had lifted you up bridal-style and started heading to the bedroom.
🦐"Ehe~ Shrimp-chan~ This is a sleepover, so that means we have to sleep on the same bed together righttttt?", Floyd said and leaned closer to your face, making your face flushed. Entering your room, Floyd placed you on the bed and covered you with the blanket, then ran towards the light switch to shut the lights off. He then ran back to the end of the bed, and wiggled his way under the sheets, positioning his body on top of yours. Realizing what he was doing, you moved to push him away, but he moved his body closer, to where his face was right above yours, and your hands were pinned against the bed.
🦐"Hehe, what's wrong? Feeling shy~?", Floyd smirked at you, and leaned his face closer to the point your lips were almost touching. Wiggling around, you told Floyd to stop teasing you, blush reaching up to your ears as you tried to hid your face on the pillow. He removed one of his hands, and placed it on your cheek, turning your face back towards his.
🦐His smirk was gone, but it was replaced with a simple smile, and his eyes were gazing straight into yours, almost as if he could see into you. "I enjoy moments like this with you. Almost feels like we are a couple." Floyd said, as he continued to to gaze at you sweetly.
🦐Your eyes widen in shocked, as you took in what Floyd just said. "Us? A Couple?!", you thought to yourself as you were still trying to process his words. After some thinking, you slowly realized that you did have feelings for Floyd, romantically, and you would love being a couple. Moving your hand and placing it on his cheek, you told him that you both could be a couple, if he wanted to be that is.
🦐Floyd's eyes widen at what you said, but they went back to normal, gazing at you lovingly. He leaned his face closer, pressing his lips against yours, signifying to you that his answer was yes.

like sign me tf up, i would love to see that the whole school is just filled to the brim with the most vile and meanest students.
also i wonder how love would work in that sort of AU, is it more like a yandere type of love or is it the usual romance. Will they ever feel bad about their behavior and how it affects Horror!Yuu? (probably not)
i think its very obvious that i'm talking about gyarunie's twst horror au ☹️ I LOVE IT AND I LOVE THE CHARACTERS i really wanna send in a request (when they're open) but i'm too scared

Camera Shudder AU: A Moment in Mostro Lounge
CW: blood, body disfigurement
(Happy spooky season everyone!)
After hours, when the staff was cleaning up the tables, floors, and bar, when the kitchen crew was scrubbing the dishes and cutlery clean and prepping for next day's meals. After hours, when Azul would be available for discussing contracts.
Yuu made an appointment with him, scheduled exactly when the Lounge closed, but after a couple of minutes of standing next to the bar, Jade came out to offer them a seat. The meeting with the current client was going on longer than expected, he said, and it wasn't clear when it would be finished. That was fine with Yuu, they could just go over what they would say in the meantime.
Yeah, I want permission to explore your dorm and take pictures. I'm not interested in the students' rooms.
I'm interested in the architecture. I want to see if there are any hidden things or inconsistencies. The school is old, who knows what someone might find.
Are there any alternatives to that condition?
Then suddenly, Yuu was aware of how quiet it was.
They twisted around and found that the cleaning staff was gone, the tables spotless and chairs neatly tucked in. No sound came from the kitchen, so all Yuu heard were the waves of the ocean outside and the random bubbles popping by. Not even Floyd or Jade were here to keep an eye on them. When did everyone leave?
Yuu checked the time. 6 minutes to 9:45. They pulled out the Ghost Camera and headed to a booth. No point in wasting a good opportunity like this.
The outside was an abyss, the only light coming from the jellyfish-shaped chandeliers and pinkish table lamps. A few sea worms popped up from where they burrowed in the sand and seemed to stare at Yuu, who gave a little wave. A handful of fish swam by the window, close enough for Yuu to notice their colorful scales, while others were far away, vague, grey shapes against the darkness.
In the times Yuu spent in Mostro Lounge, they would spot a spark of yellow in the distance. No one else seemed to notice and the Lounge staff had no idea what they were talking about. The suggestions of what they might have seen were always a light shining on a stone or catching on a fish's scale, but in this magical world--and especially in a school with so many restless ghosts--they needed to know for sure. It took a few Friday dinners for Yuu to establish that a spark could be seen where they were currently standing. Hopefully tonight, they'll learn what that spark is.
They raised the camera and peered at the abyss through the lens. A hum reached their ears, distinct in the quiet of the Lounge, and the top part of the camera vibrated. The camera filament was detecting something.
The seconds ticked by. The humming grew louder. Yuu could visualize the filament glowing blue and the intensity of the light increasing. Whatever was being detected was drawing near. They readied their trigger finger.
Then suddenly, teal hair entered the frame.
Yuu huffed irritably and lowered the camera. "Floyd--"
They let out a shriek and stumbled back.
Pitch black eye sockets gaped at them. The mouth was parted just enough to see the tips of pointed teeth, and the corners had small smears of crimson almost unseen against sea green-grey skin.
Suddenly, Yuu's foot met the air. They were on the upper portion of the Lounge and didn't realize how close they were to the stairs. In that stomach-turning moment before falling, they realized with bafflement that the body was upside down.
The carpet did little to soften the landing and their calves hit the edges of the staircase. No doubt there would be some bruising, but all Yuu could think about was the body outside. Teal hair and an elongated body characteristic of an eel-mer. It had to be one of the Leech twins, Floyd trying to scare them, but he clearly wanted to go to bed when they entered the Lounge earlier. Not to mention--and this, Yuu realized with dread and concern over what that dread meant and what this whole thing meant--the body didn't have a black strand of hair.
Thunk
A sound of something smacking into glass. Yuu remembered hearing it when one of Silver's bird friends bumped into a window.
It came from behind. Taking a deep, shuddering breath, they rolled onto their stomach and raised their head.
An elongated sea green-grey body and short teal hair, the tips colored black. It was facing away from the window and drifting towards the abyss, undoubtedly rebounding from hitting the glass. Yuu could imagine what the face might look like, and it sent a chill down their spine. They expected the body to twist around, then remembered what was behind them. They watched the body a little longer to see if it would twitch, then turned around.
The eyeless body hadn't righted itself up and still drifted by slowly. From their spot on the floor, it felt like it was at a vantage point perfect for pouncing, which made them brace. Yuu's eyes wandered to the body's mouth and realized it was a little more open.
"What. . . ?"
THUNK
The other body was still facing away, but it was drifting a little faster, rebounding from hitting the glass a little harder.
A gurgle came from the eyeless body.
Yuu let out a horrified cry as soon as they looked and they scooted away as quickly as they could. The jaw hung so lowly--so unnaturally and uncomfortably--they could see the second set of smaller teeth in the back and the nothingness beyond. The gurgling had stopped, but bubbles still left the maw. Paired with the empty eye sockets and the seemingly encroaching abyss, the body had become a true grotesque creature from the depths.
THUNKCRACK
A wisp of red rose from between teal strands like smoke. The beginnings of nausea slowly made Yuu's head spin. It was made worse when the gurgling started again, this time accompanied by a crinkling sound like ripping fabric.
Yuu hesitated to look, but the final straw was when something snapped.
The jaw had been dislocated from the skull and was held still by a webbed hand that came from within the mouth. Another webbed hand was gripping the face and the nails dug so deeply into the skin that blood trickled out. The mouth had been forced open so widely that the corners tore and zig-zagged across the cheeks, nearly touching the fins.
More bubbles were leaving the mouth, every so often becoming a burst of clusters that brought to mind a person heaving and huffing.
Whatever was in there wanted out.
BAM
BAM
BAM
BAMCRACK
Yuu didn't dare look away from the eyeless corpse. They could imagine the state of the body behind them, the back of its head cracked open and dying the surrounding water crimson. A deep cold washed over them when they heard crackling, like ice fracturing.
Their breaths came in and out in short, quick successions. It was one thing for the bodies to resemble their classmates, but another for the bodies to rip or crack themselves open. It was simply too horrible to witness. They wanted whatever this was to stop.
Ringing came from the floor, hollow metal against solid metal like a school bell.
That's right--the camera!
It lied near their feet, its filament glowing a searing red that warned of dangerous ghosts close by. They grabbed the device and felt courage course through them. They could feel their legs now and slowly stood up. During that moment of looking down, one of the hands reached towards the window while the other body behind them continued to break apart.
Yuu lifted the camera. . . and paused.
Nothing was in the frame.
They lowered the camera and became bewildered to find no eyeless corpse drifting in the ocean, not even a trace of blood from where it once was. They peered through the camera again--still, nothing.
Then something light landed on their shoulder.
Yelling, they spun around and pressed the button.
"Ah!" The flash faded away and stumbling back, blinking owlishly, was Jade Leech. Once Yuu realized who it was, they stuttered out his name in shock and embarrassment.
"I am so sorry about that, I thought--" you were an eyeless corpse or a body with a fractured skull. "I mean, I was startled."
Jade quickly composed himself and gave Yuu a patient smile. "It's all right, Prefect. I'm sure it can be quite unnerving standing in Mostro Lounge late at night. The closing staff sometimes become frightened by some of the more unusual sea life outside the dorm walls."
The last part caught Yuu's attention, but before they could ask about it, Jade continued. "Azul is ready to see you now, if you would follow me?"
"Yeah, sure." While following Jade, Yuu scanned the Lounge over their shoulder. Only the fish and random bubbles were at the windows. No dead merboys--wait, was that a yellow spark?
"Oof!" They had bumped into Jade. "Sorry!"
Why did those bodies look like variations of the Leech twins? Did the yellow spark have anything to do with what just happened? What is the spark then?
"Prefect?"
Yuu jolted and was brought back to the VIP room inside Octavinelle dorm. Across the office desk, Azul peered at them with slight concern. "Yeah?"
"You've been spacing out for most of our conversation and you didn't respond when I called for you just now. Is something the matter?"
How could they tell him about what they experienced in the Lounge? They were too shaken right now to put most of it into words, especially the corpses that looked similar to the Leech twin standing next to Azul. "It's fine. I just have a lot on my mind right now. Could you repeat what you said?"
"Actually, Prefect, I think it would be best if we continued our discussion another time. If the previous client hadn't taken so much time, I would be more than happy to repeat, but it's quite late and I don't want either of us losing anymore sleep than necessary. I'm sure you understand."
"Yeah, that's no problem. Could we meet tomorrow?"
"Yes, we may. Would you like it to be the same time, perhaps earlier?"
After rescheduling the meeting, Jade began escorting Yuu out of the room. "And Prefect--" they twisted around--"if you're still too shaken to discuss deals, please let me know as soon as possible and we can reschedule for another date, all right? I would hate for a client to miss important terms and conditions."
". . . Yeah, I will."
Leaving the VIP room, Azul found Jade standing in the middle of Mostro Lounge, staring at one of the windows. "What are you doing, Jade?"
"I'm wondering what the Prefect was looking at."
"They were staring outside?"
"Yes, and it seemed as though they were about to take a picture."
"Did any of our staff cause them trouble?"
"I don't believe so. The staff finished long before I came back to fetch the Prefect. It is rather curious, though. . ." Jade closed his eyes and donned his thinking pose.
". . . Well? What is it?"
"They didn't hear me when I called for them and screamed and took a picture of me when I touched their shoulder. The flash blinded me, but in that moment, they looked so frightened."
"Their hands were shaking when they accepted the tea in the VIP room. I was afraid they would drop the cup," Azul remarked.
"That isn't all. They seemed interested when I told them about the staff becoming frightened by the 'unusual marine life' outside."
"Is that so." Azul pushed up his glasses, mulling over Jade's words. "We'll see what happens after the deal."

Yo Daddy, you’re pretty messed up so I’m hoping you’ll respond. 😘
How would you reckon the TWST cast would murder someone they absolutely hate? With the intention of getting away with it (very important note)
Also, shower thoughts for Azul, if we vivisect one of his legs off, would he lose one tentacle or 3 or them?
I take it you're in a murder mood, you doin' okay bro...?
Gosh, the whole TWST cast? That's gonna take a lot of thought. Jeez this is going to be a long response... Let's see...
Heartslaybyul: Riddle is pretty studious and well read. I'm sure the murder itself would be one of passion and rage, probably violent and messy, but if no one else is around to witness it, he'd have a good enough knowledge on how to clean it up and properly dispose of the body.
Cater would use his clones to sneak up on and overpower the person, then the clones would help him clean up the scene and dispose of the corpse.
Trey, I'm getting a Sweeney Todd situation for him, bakes them into a pie, cooks up the body parts into different dishes for a feast. Would he ever actually kill anyone? I don't think so, but he's sly/secretly cunning enough to come up with the perfect crime I think.
Ace and Deuce would help eachother clean it up, Deuce probably drops a cauldron on someone or something, then they get caught because it turns out the person isn't actually dead after they think they've disposed of the "body" and/or they leave out like important pieces of evidence.
Savanaclaw: Leona turns them to sand. Like, on a beach.
Ruggie would use his signature spell to walk them off a cliff.
Jack, well he's a good boy, so while I'd see him breaking someone's neck or strangling someone to death in a fit of rage, he'd probably turn himself in right after.
Octavinelle: Gosh, look, if you've read Den of Beasts or Bloodlust, you probably know I've already put a lot of thought into how these fuckers would kill someone/dispose of a body... Lots of sea creatures in the ocean these boys could feed a corpse to. There's a lot of fucked up gangster shit you could come up with for the octotrio. I trust your imagination can come up with something, because the sky is the limit.
Scarabia: Kalim, again, a marshmallow, but hypothetically speaking, if someone *reaaaally* managed to piss him off, he would take them out into the middle of the desert and drown them with his signature magic, then let the elements take care of the body.
Jamil, how wouldn't he kill someone? Lol He'd probably use his signature spell to get the person to kill themself, making it a true and proper suicide that couldn't link back to Jamil.
Pomefiore: Vil, poison. He'd find a way that it wouldn't be traced back to him, maybe pin it on a crazed fan of the person he kills *cough cough* Neige *cough cough*. Even if Vil got caught, he'd use his influence to get out of any actual jail time.
Rook, well, The Most Dangerous Game is all that comes to mind, and given how in chapter 6 we find out how his family has like, actual hunting villas around the world, Rook would probably lure his enemy to a more remote villa and then proceed to hunt them down in a sadistic and fucked up game of cat and mouse. Let's be honest, he's definitely already done this, and his fucked up reasoning would be "your fear and passion to stay alive even in your dying breaths, that is the most beautiful thing any man can experience".
Epel, hit them over the head with a shovel or an axe, feed 'em to the pigs. He's a farm boy through and through, don't need to be more complex than that.
Ignihyde: Idia, ooh, my next story is gonna go into some fun ways Idia could kill people. For the sake of this question... He'd probably design a little assassin robot, maybe something that self destructs after the job is complete.
Ortho: Remember in the first Halloween event when Ortho was legit going to kill and probably vaporize those annoying magicam influencers? Yeah. That.
Diasomnia: I know the least about this dorm, but for Malleus, like, however he fuckin' wants, and like, who's gonna stop him? He could murder someone in broad daylight in front of a crowd of people and no one could do anything about it. Malleus would go home like nothing even happened.
Lilia, he's definitely assassinated people in the past, and murdered plenty in his war days. He could kill someone and leave no trace before flying away.
Sebek would kill anyone who so much as looks at Malleus weird. Disrespect Malleus, lose your life. Lilia would probably clean up after him.
Silver is probably fairly talented with a sword and probably learned a thing or two from Lilia about assassination. Similar to Sebek, he would kill for Malleus's sake, but would do so more out of honor and duty as opposed to blind, annoying devotion.
Now, for your question about Azul, I feel like his merman body would be almost a different entity from his human form, so like, if he lost a leg or tentacle in one form, it wouldn't show in his other form... But for this question, I'd say if he lost half of his human legs, then he'd lose half of his merman tentacles.

TWST True Villains: Escape Ending (Ending 1)
A/N: So I had planned for this to have multiple endings, and here’s ending 1! There will be two more after this, but this is the happier ending so I wanted to give you guys a little bit of a break after this whole fic has been nonstop violence ;;;;
Tw: Blood, death, panic attacks
They hear a sickening squelch sound and a hushed apology, followed by the sound of a body falling to the floor. Yuu blinks and looks up, seeing Silver rush towards them, bloody sword in hand. Something warm grabs their broken arm, making them sob in agony as they're pulled away from the horned man, whose grip had loosened to the point of allowing them to drop to the floor. They blink a few times, their head growing dizzy as they're hoisted to their shaky feet. Adrenaline pumps through their veins as they choke on air, their lungs refusing to work as their jaw quivers with each jolt.
"Hurry, please-" They can barely make out Silver's broken sobs and gasps as he supports them, running as fast as they can from the mysterious fae. Yuu stumbles for a moment and looks behind them, feeling a rush of fear when they make eye contact with the man. He was still seated on the ground, watching them curiously as though a young child watching an animal at the zoo. Head tilted innocently to the side, eyes narrowed and pupils thin sits against an electric green that paralyzes them more and more with each wobbly step.
They feel as though they were tossed into a bucket of ice water as he raises his gloved hand, bidding them a small wave as they're carried off. His eyes glimmer in the low light as a smile creeps onto his face, distorting his features in the low light and sending a shock off terror over them, the reality of what could have happened making them wail in terror as they clutch onto Silver with every ounce of energy they have left.
"He's not gonna let us go-" They babble, screaming between words. "He's gonna kill me- he's gonna kill us- please-"
Silver pants and cups his free hand over their mouth as they stagger out into the cold night air, the steady and even carpeted ground turning bumpier and harder to walk on in their frenzied state. They can barely make out the rustling of the trees in the wind and the creaking of the wooden doors as they close behind them.
"Shut up, please," He gasps, choking on air as they stumble in the direction of the mirror. "Just- please, we're so close-"
Their vision fades as the scenery passes by, their legs screaming as their arms hang limp- one slung over Silver's shoulder and the other swinging uselessly at their side. They trip over rocks and pebbles as Silver curses.
The full moon hangs high in the sky, barely illuminating the path that Silver is taking them along. Yuu recognizes it to be the same path they were just on, passing over the bridge. They look back once more as the wooden gates close, the bodies of Lilia and Sebek still lifeless on the common room floor.
The little amount of light they have seems to disappear as clouds shroud the beacon in the sky, making Silver curse as he trips and stumbles.
And in the center, the Prince stands, smile turned into a dark scowl as it begins to rain heavily, the duo's shoes slipping on the stone beneath them as the icy rain drenches their clothes and the thunder overhead rumbles threateningly, lightning striking the trees along the sides and setting them ablaze with a green glow that seems eerily similar to the man's eyes.
"He-he's playing with us-!" They shout again, heart pounding in their throat and turning their stomach as they slam their eyes shut and bawl hopelessly.
"He might be-" Silver huffs, setting them down for a second as he pulls his bloody sword back out from it's sheath and standing in front of them, taking in his surroundings confidently. "But he won't. He let us go for a reason," He takes a few deep breaths and turns around, helping Yuu to stand. "We need to leave."
"Leave?" Their voice betrays their terror, high pitched and breathless as they gaze up at the boy with wide eyes.
"NRC. Or Wonderland," He sends one last gaze back towards the castle, tears welling in his aurora eyes as his eyebrows knit on his forehead. He looks back down, lip wobbling. "Let's go," The break in his voice is enough for Yuu to snap out of the panic-induced haze they were thrown in, nodding as they step through the mirror.
The two arrive in the mirror chamber, shaking, cold, wet, and still pumped full of adrenaline from their injuries. Yuu looks up at the mirror that they had seen when they first arrived, now glistening with a new light.
They shakily stand, waves of relief washing over them as fresh tears cascade down their face and they clutch their chest, sobbing as they reach through the now warm surface of the mirror. A warm, calloused hand grabs their own.
"May..." The boy asks quietly, almost shyly as he stares at the ground. "May I come as well?"
Yuu smiles through their tears, gripping his hand in their own. "Let's go."
They cast one last glance at the mirror chamber, their memories in Wonderland flashing through their mind. They look over to Silver, whose face in contorted in disbelief, confusion and grief. He gulps and turns to the mirror, helping Yuu step through.
When they arrive on the other side of the mirror, it's dark. The room they're in smells of dust and mildew, and they hear the squeaks of a mouse from somewhere within the walls. They take a shaky step forward and sputter when they walk through a cobweb.
"Down here," Silver gently pulls them over to an illuminated spot on the floor. They nod and push it, a ladder crashing to the floor below them and sending up a wave of dust that makes them both cough as they descend.
The room they walk into seemed to be in the same condition as Ramshackle when they'd first arrived. The furniture was worn and covered in moth-bitten linen and dust and dirt littered each and every shelf. The wooden floor below them groaned with every hesitant step they took. They landed in the middle of what appeared to be the living room- the mirror they came through being in the cottage's attic.
They could see the partially opened door to the bedroom and the bathroom, and the kitchen was in a smaller room off to the side.
The wall seemed to be either burnt or bitten through, and all the books on the shelves looked as though they had not been touched in years.
"Is this it?" Silver asks quietly, stepping forth and peeking into what they presumed to be an old kitchen- the appliances being at least seventy years old and entirely untouched. Many of them were still as they would have been- a cast iron oven with a door that squeaked when they opened it, a large white box with a handle that they presume to be a fridge.
Yuu looks around the room, pictures on the walls that seem to call to them.
Their wounds begin to ache and their eyes fall on their own as the adrenaline in their body seems to run low. They reach for a small book laying on the small table that sat next to the couch. They pick up the small book and dust it off with their free hand, choking back a sob when they read the cover.
"Hamlet..." They mutter to themselves. "We made it."
"We made it?" Silver breathlessly whispers, floor creaking as his footsteps approach theirs.
"We made it...!"
Yuu  collapses to the ground, sobbing into the floor as Silver rubs their back comfortingly, hand covering his own face and wiping his tears as they spill down his face and to the floor.
The next few decades passed by in a blur. Yuu found themselves unable to return to the world they had lived in before they came to Wonderland. They were in a foreign country they did not know, in the middle of the woods, isolated miles upon miles from the closest city. There was a small village nearby which they had discovered once they had to get their wounds taken care of. The locals had assumed that they were merely clueless foreigners or perhaps runaways, and had not dared to ask after the first time- in which they asked and their responses were tears from both teens.
They had fixed up the cottage they'd first arrived in. After the first night, Silver had suggested destroying the mirror so nobody else could come through.
Yuu had expected watching the shards fall to the ground to be therapeutic, they had not prepared for the wave of grief that would wash over them. They would spend the remained of that night crying with Silver in front of their small fireplace, taking in every ounce of warmth from both the boy beside them and the fire.
Over the years, Silver would come to be their closest friend, and the only other human they would regularly interact with. The two would sometimes go into the village, but for the most part they remined isolated in the woods. The two had become self-sufficient due to Silver's upbringing in a cottage not too different from the one they lived in.
Sometimes they can still make out the faint memories of their friends, giving them comfort during their dark days.
They both still kept the objects they'd brought back with them.
Hanging atop the fireplace was Silver's sword, untouched since that day and still faintly speckled with blood in the crevices that he could not get it out of. It shines in the light of the fire, and glistens in the presence of the rising and setting sun, a cruel reminder to the boy of who he was and what he had to do.
On the mantle rested Deuce's blazer- torn and stained, but still his. Next to it, Ace's phone, battery dead and permanently left to sit there, a plain black box stolen by time. Yuu had managed to ask one of the locals to print out the only picture they had of the three of them off of the phone, and it hung next to their side of the bed. On the very end hung Jack's bloodied bandanna. It would move often as it was moved by the waves of heat coming off the fire, and if Yuu closed their eyes and hoped they could almost fool themselves into thinking that it was him, telling them that he was okay where he was. They feel a stab of guilt and of sorrow when they remember that they wish they could have brought something of Epel's and Ortho's.
They had burnt the rest, finding it hard to look at the objects and not break down at the cruel memories that would often dance around in their head menacingly until they would awake in the middle of the night, screaming and clawing at their face until Silver would roll over and calm them down to the best of his ability.
"Silver?" The now elderly Yuu asks the silent man next to them, wrinkled face still holding the same fondness that it had towards them after all these years.
"Yes?" He asks quietly, voice raspy as they lay beside him in the grass that surrounded their little cottage.
"...Will we see them again?" The two had not talked abut Wonderland since the day they arrived back to this world. It had been an unspoken rule between them. It had never happened. It wasn't real to them.
If they spoke about it, it was as if they would have to acknowledge that it wasn't all a bad dream.
Silver weakly grabs their hand, giving it a comforting squeeze as he lays, soft eyes gazing up at the bright blue sky as birds chip around the two of them.
"I hope so," He says after a moment, chest heaving with breaths. They nod and allow their eyes to close.
"Me too." Their eyes peek open as they look over at their friend and sigh, gripping his fragile hand a little harder. "Silver?"
No response from the man, who lays still. They smile, a tear creeping down their wrinkled cheek as they smile.
"Goodnight, Silver."
And so Yuu closes their eyes for the last time.

Amongst the quills and neatly organized papers, a tiny vial of potion glowed a poisonous green bathing the desk in dancing neons. The colours jumped between the unlit lamps, the bone fish pen, the dull papers to a small purple gem on a striped black and white ribbon tucked away in a hastily closed drawer. They could feel their heart beating a heavy tattoo against their chest. That was Grims gem. His ribbon. Azul had the thing tucked away and Jade lied about it to Ace! Yuu slipped the gem collar into their pocket, grabbed the potion and ran towards the Dark Mirror.

The appetite from the infected stems from the blot continuously draining life energy and mass of the victim. Infected victims will seek and consume material, both organic and inorganic, to try and satisfy the ongoing hunger. While this method is effective, it only lasts for a short period of time before the hunger reappears. If the infection can not find a suitable incoming food supply, the blot will continue to eat away at the infected body mass until it is reduced to a black puddle of ink.
While the chances of being devoured by an infected are slim... They are NEVER zero.

The first thing Yuu heard when they pushed open the door was a faucet running, then multiple clicks as the motion sensors detected them and turned on the lights. They hurriedly shut off the faucet and wondered how much water had been wasted. They were keen on not wasting anything if they could help it, and they bitterly thought how the headmaster had invested in sensors for lights to save money but didn't put any on the faucets. Surely, if he knew about this, he could convince the school board or the bank to lend more money for sensors on faucets.
All right, Yuu, let it go.
Sighing, Yuu raised their eyes to the mirror--only to remember that none of the first floor bathrooms had mirrors. It turned out that fights kept breaking out in the bathrooms years ago and the mirrors were removed until things settled down. But the other floors had their mirrors back, why not this floor? The professor Yuu was talking to just shrugged in response.
Shaking their head, Yuu entered the farthest stall while pulling out their phone, which buzzed incessantly with incoming messages.
Before entering the bathroom, Yuu was texting Ace and Deuce about plans for the weekend, but it quickly devolved into helping the two find a missing notebook. Right now, the duo were searching Ramshackle Dorm's lounge. Yuu suddenly imaged them upturning the place and coughing from the dust, and quickly sent a text, telling them not to trash the place. They sent another text to shoot down Ace's suggestion of searching their and Grim's room.
"We checked everywhere. Where else are we supposed to look?"
Yuu glanced up in thought and accidentally semi-blinded themself from the fluorescent tubes. Silently cursing their stupidity and with spotty vision, they texted back, "What if it's actually in the library or one of the classrooms?"
They rubbed their eyes. Multiple clicks sounded from above.
They paused, then slowly lowered their arm. They blinked once, twice, making sure that their eyesight wasn't still affected.
Their high school bathrooms back on Earth had frosted windows; this school did not. If it weren't for their smartphone, it would have been completely pitch black. Yuu checked the time stamps of the texts and found that only 5 minutes had passed. The lights shouldn't have turned off this soon, not unless someone had slipped in and flipped the switch. Except, how would anyone have known they were in here? They were sure no one was following them and they doubted the person they bumped into on the way here was petty enough to pull this sort of prank (although, they wouldn't be surprised if that happened).
Fear creeped up on them, tensing their muscles and conjuring images of disfigured ghosts outside the stall. Guttural groans and shrieks echoed in their ears accompanied by mental visions of human-shaped blurs tottering towards the newest victim, milky-white eyes glaring at them. Yuu shuddered at the thought of a hand gripping their arm or throat; at the same time, a phantom chill encircled their forearm. They put down their phone on the toilet paper dispenser, tapping the screen to keep it awake a few minutes longer, and rubbed the spot.
They took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. They didn't know for sure if malicious ghosts occupied this bathroom; maybe the lights shutting off was some prick who didn't care if someone was in the bathroom or not.
But what if there actually were malicious ghosts?
Yuu didn't know what happened before they came in. What if someone had been here minutes prior? What if that poor unfortunate soul was in the middle of washing his hands when the ghosts shut off the lights? Was that why the faucet was on--
Wait. The lights had motion sensors on them.
As soon as they stood up and moved, the lights would turn on. Malicious ghosts attacked during the night or when there was little lighting, as Yuu learned from experience. They'd be fine when there was light.
But sadly, no matter how many times they jumped or how frantically they waved their arms, the motion sensors couldn't detect them. Were the sensors only sensitive to outside the stalls? Whatever was keeping the lights off, Yuu would have to leave this stall. The thought filled them with dread.
Picking up their phone with one hand, their fear ebbed slightly upon seeing the chatroom. Ace had sent a picture of Deuce from behind, dust thinly coating the blunette's hair. It was followed by an irritated Deuce turning around, and then a set of blurry photos of the floor, windows, and Ace's shoes as he ran from Deuce. Despite the situation, Yuu chuckled. Of course it would be these two pulling them out of their terrified state.
They maneuvered their hand so the thumb could pull out the menu, which had the flashlight button, but mid-way, the phone slipped out of their hold. It clattered to the floor, thankfully landing right-side up.
"Shit!" Yuu hissed, quickly bending down to grab it.
They froze.
From the gap beneath the stall separators, a hand landed silently on the phone. The screen's light outlined it, yet there were no defining features, not even fingernails. It was just a solid black shape. To Yuu's horror, the hand yanked their beacon of sanity into the neighboring stall. They lunged forward and reached beneath the separator--but in just a moment, the light disappeared.
Yuu just barely managed to bring their hand back to their chest without freaking out, if only to avoid getting nabbed by the shadow hand. After that, they silently sat down and tried to control their breathing. The darkness seemed suffocating with how it hung around and draped over them, much like an uncomfortably heavy blanket.
The whole situation brought them back to when they were little. pretending to be a detective looking for clues in the basement. The basement was a big, irregular, rectangular space holding shelves of food, relics of the distant past, a DVD player and TV, and a cabinet. They stuck to these parts of the room and avoided the long, dead-end hall where the lights didn't reach for some reason.
On two hands, they could count the number of times someone would turn off the lights from upstairs. If it was daytime, the mini window near the ceiling let in sunlight that showed there wasn't much to be afraid of, except the eerie hallway. At night, however, Yuu would be plunged into a monster's dark den and they would sprint for the light switch beside the bottom step. They always imagined being chased by a tall, frightening monster that silently skittered. It was interesting how a space so friendly in the light became hostile at the flick of a switch; how unfortunate that Yuu was reminded of this now.
They didn't know how long they sat on the tiled floor, but once they calmed down, they dreaded the thought of finally leaving the stall. Sure, they could wait for someone to come in and trigger the light sensors, but everyone was at their club this time of day. Not to mention, there was no telling if the ghosts here were impatient. Yuu might as well rip the band-aid off themself instead of waiting to find out.
The stall separators were cool under their warm palms as they felt their way to the door. Finding the loose bolt, Yuu swallowed and took a deep breath.
Almost at the same time, they slid the lock open and pushed the door. They didn't bother waiting for anything to appear and ran for the exit. Two steps forward and the lights flicked on. Their body was still on flight mode despite this--it wasn't until the bathroom door swung open did it finally register they were safe and OH MY GOD I'M GONNA CRASH INTO HIM.
Yuu stopped short and stammered. "Sorry! I was--"
The words caught in their throat. The world tipped as they registered the person who entered the bathroom.
White button-up shirt soaked red around the collar, arteries and veins exposed and dribbling blood over the edges or pulsing like they were breathing, the stark white of a spinal bone. . . and no head.
Yuu backed away, panic seizing their mind as the lights began flickering rhythmically. The headless person matched their steps after a couple of beats, sauntering and looking like a skipping film. Blood weakly squirted out of the arteries and splattered onto the shirt. Yuu grimaced at the sound. The faucets the headless person passed screeched on to the max and plumes of steam rose.
Yuu fled back into the farthest stall and shoved the bolt into place. They pressed themself against the wall and watched the headless person's slacks step closer and closer to the door, more faucets turning on and boiling hot water rushing and crashing into the porcelain sinks. Even though it had only been a few seconds, the steam was making it harder to breathe and the rising temperature felt oppressive, like being under a thick blanket with a fever.
Finally, he was in front of the stall.
Knock knock
The lights stopped flickering.
Yuu blinked, puzzled but even more frightened. Why was he knocking? Was he toying with them?
The air left their lungs when they saw his neck tilt into view, in the narrow gap between the door and the stall separator. Blood dripped onto the tiles. For some damn reason, Yuu could hear it. They covered their ears and morbidly noticed how it was like listening to a loose pipe drip water onto a puddle. They wanted to look away from the suddenly still humanoid, but they were more afraid of what might happen if he wasn't in their line of sight. This wasn't like the other ghost encounters; there wasn't a lunge for their life at the get-go, no attempt to get inside. The ghost was purposefully drawing this out.
Yuu jolted, gasping, when the lights suddenly shut off.
They braced themself for a glowing apparition to suddenly appear in front of them, a freezing hand to grab their arm or throat. . . but then the lights turned back on and the headless person was no longer there. The puddle of blood was gone too.
Yuu waited for the lights to turn off again, but it never did. They briefly wondered if they had hallucinated, but threw out the thought when they considered all the things that has happened during their time in Twisted Wonderland (and even before). Their thoughts turned instead to what the encounter was all about. Perhaps. . . the ghost was territorial? It wouldn't be the first one; Yuu had discovered some that hung out at the stable, alchemy building, and one specific part of the surrounding woods. It would have been nice if this ghost didn't go so far as to scare them.
Yuu snapped back to the present when they heard the pipes squealing. They focused on the faucets wholly and, without hesitation, left the stall.
They didn't make it past one step.
The headless person was standing at the sink near the door.
As they calmed down, they realized he was lifting and dragging a finger all over the brick wall. It was as though he was trying to write a message on a fogged-up mirror--actually, that was exactly what he was doing! The motions were determined and Yuu had a strange feeling of. . . hopefulness? desperation? coming from him, but after a few more seconds, his shoulders slouched in defeat. They watched his hands clench and bang on the counter, once. He bowed his torso, blood trickling into the sink like frustrated tears, and Yuu couldn't help but feel sympathy for him.
For a few seconds, it was silent and still save for the rushing of water, then the headless person's shoulders rose and fell, seemingly sighing, and more blood squirted from his neck. He raised himself to look at Yuu, who gazed back calmly. He turned away and shuffled out of the bathroom; if he had a head, they could imagine it bowing in despair. They waited for him to suddenly change his decidedly docile demeanor and come back or for the lights to flicker, but neither happened. Wondering what he was trying to communicate, Yuu went to turn off the faucets.
Yuu found their phone in the second-to-last stall, sitting on the plastic toilet paper holder. They caught a notification for several missed calls before the incoming call screen appeared. Ace and Deuce.
"Finally! Where were you?" Ace asked, sounding a little exasperated. Yuu smiled at the sound of a familiar voice, oblivious to the scare they had gone through.
"Sorry, I had a run-in with a ghost."
"Again? At this point, you're better off carrying the Ghost Camera and its add-ons with you everywhere," Deuce said.
"I'm starting to consider it. Anyway, where are you guys?"
"We're on our way to the botanical gardens. We think this is where we actually left it."
"Okay, I'm coming. By the way, have you guys seen a headless ghost wandering the bathrooms?"
"HUH?!"
