Yuuka: Imagine how scary a Bobbitt worm merman would be. The animal itself can range from 10cm to 3m in length that lives within the sea floor and is considered an ambush predator that dragged its prey into the grown to eat an incredible speed with a venom bite that can split prey in two while shutting down nerves because said venom. Now, apply this to a merfolk. That would make that predatory merfolk's average length to be around 3 times the actual animal's size, and you wouldn't be able to see it since they stay in the ground... and yet there is still sea life in there that makes it prey. I can see why the twin's mother worries for boys so much.
