Here we go again...Jesus tap-dancing Christ. This is a lot longer than I wanted it to be.
Hey.  I haven’t been able to make any posts related to Dhar Mann over the past several months.  I needed to make my mental health a priority over a guy whose presence literally makes my blood boil. (Also...side note: I have said this multiple times before, I don’t always want to discuss this individual or anyone associated with him. I don’t want to be restricted to talking about one topic. /notmad)  I’ve also been going through a lot, as a lot of you know.  You’re probably not here for me to tell you about why the posts about this individual and anyone related to him have halted, so I’m gonna cut to the chase.
This is an important topic, as almost every single actor who has worked under Dhar Mann is protesting against him due to him not paying them a liveable wage.  Y’know, despite racking in a shit ton of ad revenue that’s around $25k or something like that.  Hey, aren’t you a multimillionaire?  I know damn well you can afford to pay the actors a liveable wage for their time and ensure they can pay for essentials, like I don’t know, A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS! I’ll be linking as many videos talking about this subject from some of the actors themselves and through YouTube commentators as Tumblr will let me link. As I’ve mentioned in passing, I haven’t watched any videos Dhar Dhar Binks has made in the past few months because hate watching his videos will only line his pockets and hurt the actors. Especially now.
Dhar Mann has been firing people for speaking negatively about the conditions of the studio and the pay.  This has been through emails (a few people’s emails have been put up on social media, which is super unprofessional and can be dangerous for the people whose emails were posted online).  Instead of taking criticism and actually trying to make things right for the people who have made his channels successful, he doubles down on all the “positive” experiences that some of the actors have had with him.  One of them notably being Katherine Norland, which considering how problematic she is outside of working for Dhar Mann, I’m not at all surprised.  Two birds of the same feather flock together.  She talked about how her experience working with Dhar Mann has been great.  Hey, Katherine, not everyone has the same experience as you.  But I bet you like playing the bigoted Karen roles you get, huh?  Figures.
Here’s a five minute clip of a FORTY-FIVE MINUTE VIDEO she made. I already have a headache listening to her spew typical Boomer/Boomer 2.0 (A LOT of Gen X...mainly elder Gen X) bullshit.
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqHuvd/
All I gotta say is: Okay, Boomer. Lay off the Kool-aid. (She probably isn’t a Boomer, but she sure talks like one.)
Another actor I’ve seen speaking more on neutral ground, but still defending Dhar Mann low-key is Melvin.  To sum up what Melvin said, he basically said that Dhar Mann’s “a good guy (to him)”, DM “shouldn’t be canceled”, he saw where the actors who were protesting were coming from, and “everything’s gonna get solved”. The clip where he talks about this is below:
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqD1pv/
According to Colin A. Borden, who has worked with Dhar Mann as an actor for the past few years, he stated on his social media platforms that a lot of the actors, himself included (most likely, I’m not sure), can’t even afford rent with how little Dhar Mann pays the actors.  This was when he was talking about why actors are protesting at the moment.  He’s not the only actor I’m going to be naming.  A few other notable actors protesting are Mair Mulroney, Rachel, and a couple others.  I linked a few of their videos below.
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnVcm4A/ (Colin's video)
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnVvEK5/ (One of Mair's videos)
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnVGLaB/ (Nathan's video, where he talks about why the contracts and payments are bad.)
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqNyPd/ (A compilation of actors protesting.) (TW: There are whistles being blown.)
According to other actors who have come forward with their experiences with this individual (Rachel being one of them), they would work twelve to fifteen hour days for the wage of eighteen dollars per hour (for non-speaking roles) or thirty-three to forty-four dollars per hour (for speaking roles).  To my understanding, this was a few times a week.  This kind of schedule is not sustainable.  These actors can’t even afford to pay their rent, like I have mentioned before.  Dhar Mann can lie his ass off about how he pays everyone fairly all he wants, but you know I’m going to believe the actors over him any day.
Clip from a livestream where Rachel is talking about pay:
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqBSrF/
“Eighteen dollars an hour for a non-speaking role?  Thirty-three to forty-four dollars an hour for a speaking role?  That sounds great!  What’s the problem with that?”
Getting paid eighteen dollars an hour (for non-speaking roles), or getting paid thirty-three dollars to forty-four dollars (for speaking roles) for twelve to fifteen hours a day a few times a week sounds like a lot of money, but that’s further from the truth.  Let me explain.
If they’re only there for twelve to fifteen hours a few times a week, to paint a better picture, and they’re paid semi-monthly, the people with non-speaking roles would only get around $1,440 every two weeks, and the people with speaking roles would get around $2,640 - $3,520 every two weeks. (NOTE: These are only estimated amounts. I used 80 hours here in total for the two weeks, and used a tax calculator based in California, where they work. This is given that their hours actually equal forty hours per week. The hours are variable, as Nathan has said in his video talking about this subject. The actors could actually be getting paid less than the estimated amounts I put up.)  This is before taxes are taken out, hypothetically, if Dhar Mann or anyone who handles payroll is actually doing their job.  After taxes are taken out, the extras would only be getting $1,132 every two weeks, and actors in speaking roles would be getting $1,923 - $2,456 every two weeks.  He pays everyone out through PayPal…instead of at least giving them a pay card where he can put their paychecks onto or letting them use their banks through direct deposit, or giving them paper checks so they can deposit their earnings into their bank accounts.
The average person’s rent in all of California was around $1,818 back in 2021.  That’s not including utilities, insurance, and other bills.  They’re pretty much scraping by to survive if they’re living on their own.  Those are some “competitive wages”, huh?  Get over yourself, Dhar.  You’re fucking cheap and you can’t manage to pay the people who made your shitty channel huge fairly.  Just admit that.
Another thing that I need to mention is them painting a mural to honor an actor who passed away, then taking it down a few days later. The reason for this wasn’t really made clear. Something about the landlord saying to take it down, or they needed that space for a video. Whatever the reason is, it’s not cool to paint a mural dedicated to an actor that you’re not even gonna keep up. It gives off the impression that you only did it for clout. Just saying.
ETA: This is new information that I found from doing more research. Carl Judie, according to Riki (who was close to him), was actually planning on leaving before his death due to how he was being treated. His loved ones do not want Carl’s face to be anywhere in Dhar Mann’s studios. This is the video where Riki discussed Carl:
Another actor came forward to speak about how Dhar Mann was practicing a scene with her for a TikTok and he was chasing after her with a real knife instead of a prop knife.
Clip from a livestream:
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqPsCm/
A child actor (Brianni) talked about how she was fired because she has medical issues THAT DHAR MANN WAS WELL AWARE OF. Her video is below:
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqmUTd/
Riki, one of the major actors in his shitty videos refused to do any more videos that have to do with race and she got less work as a result.  A black woman not wanting to do videos about race?  *gasp* How will Dhar Mann ever recover from this? /s Oh, I wonder…I will be linking her video where she explains why she stopped doing any more videos that have to do with race.  She explains it a lot better than I can. Her video is linked below:
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqRnSn/
Actors are generally unionized to prevent this kind of thing from happening (i.e., paying dramatically low wages and an overall unhealthy work environment), but the way Dhar Mann runs shit, it’s not unionized.  Fearing that you will lose your job if you’re critical of the boss in any capacity or you speak out about work conditions is not a healthy work environment.  Nobody should be having to walk on eggshells and be afraid of losing their job if they say anything.  There’s a thing called the whistleblower act, which is there to protect employees from being attacked by their superiors for speaking out about what is wrong with the workplace. Dhar Mann has apparently been threatening actors who have spoken out against him with lawsuits on top of all this. So that’s cool. /s
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnVTBkV/ (A video of actors protesting that Mair recorded talking about what/why they're protesting.) (TW: There are whistles being blown.)
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRnqPWbV/ (Protest video Nick recorded.) (TW: There are whistles being blown.)
I’ve seen people write off Dhar Mann literally breaking labor laws as his actions simply being ‘show business’, as well as invalidate the actors coming forward to talk about their experiences all because they’re independent contractors who Dhar Mann calls every now and then.  “Every now and then”, MORE LIKE EVERY DAY.  You do realize there aren’t just adult actors working in his studios, right?  There are child actors who are working under Dhar Mann too, and they should be getting paid fairly for their work.  Or else Dhar Mann’s gonna get into legal trouble again.  Either with a series of lawsuits involving the actors he fired suing his ass, the IRS coming after him, or he’s gonna serve jail time.  Either way, he’s in deep shit.  The reason why I say he’s breaking labor laws is because he’s (probably) not paying the kids who work for him fairly either. Quite a few of them appear to be elementary school age or middle school age, around maybe eight years old to possibly thirteen or fourteen years old. Maybe he shows the literal children working for him some mercy...because most of the people who watch his videos are children. I don’t know. Apparently they were supposed to stop casting actors who are minors (under eighteen years old), but there are QUITE a few kids working under this cringe ass nae-nae baby. So...that’s pretty fishy.
According to sources from commentators like AugustTheDuck and Jarvis Johnson, none of the actors who have worked under Dhar Mann have ever (allegedly) received a 1099 form for their tax returns from DM.
Both videos AugustTheDuck made:
First one
youtube
Second one
youtube
The video Jarvis Johnson made:
youtube
A 1099 form, for anyone who has never heard of it before, is a form that independent contractors receive by the end of the year usually.  In this case, DM has (allegedly) not given any of his actors their 1099 forms, and it is mid-February (as I was typing this...it is now the end of February).  With independent contractors, which is what the actors who work under Dhar Mann are classified as, the maximum they can be paid without getting a 1099 form (1099-NEC, formerly known as 1099-MISC, and/or a 1099-K) is about six hundred dollars a year.  This was before the IRS changed the rules about that.  Clearly they are making WELL over $600 a year.  You know what Dhar Mann had to say about that?  PAYPAL should’ve given out 1099 forms to his actors, not HIM.  The payer (Dhar Mann, or anyone who handles payroll) is responsible for sending out 1099-NEC forms to his actors and the IRS.  PayPal is only responsible for sending out 1099-K forms to people using PayPal for business as well as the IRS if you made over $20,000 that year, or you made over 200 transactions.  Dhar Mann has made well over $20,000, and he has made well over 200 transactions. Clearly.  Please correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t the actors be getting both forms? I feel like they should be getting both of those forms.
Every time the actors would band together to try having a meeting with Dhar Mann to discuss their grievances with their work environment as well as their pay, he’s nowhere to be found and he tells them to forward their grievances with HR.  They have sent Dhar Mann letters through hard copies and emails directly to him, which were forwarded over to HR.  HR scheduled a meeting for the actors to discuss their grievances and they wanted Dhar Mann to be present, as he was the person they were having issues with.  The meeting kept being postponed multiple times.  By the time the meeting came, Dhar Mann was nowhere to be seen.  He was obviously not present for the meeting he was supposed to attend.  Why?  HE WAS CONVENIENTLY ON VACATION.  Wooooowwww.  Your company is not big enough to where you can’t realistically be reached.
You think you’re too good to show your face to people who have worked for you for years, listen to their grievances, and try to come up with a solution, don’t you, Dhar?  If you’re such a big, important man, why can’t you be an actual boss and show up to meetings that you’re supposed to attend?  Oh, is it because the vast majority of the actors (former and current) are understandably pissed about how little they’re being paid by you?  Is it because the vast majority of the actors are sick of your shit?  Sounds like you can’t handle any sort of criticism from people who have worked for you for so long.  You know, I had an inkling that this kind of thing was happening behind the scenes before ANY of the actors came forward.  Then to find out that inkling I had was right all along…that’s not a good thing, Dhar Mann!  I thought you learned your lesson from getting in trouble for committing fraud almost ten years ago!  GUESS NOT.  It’s all come full circle.
You paint yourself as a good guy, but you treat the people who have made your sorry excuses for channels huge like shit.  How the fuck do you sleep at night?  How do you think this is okay to do to people?  Do they not deserve to have enough money to be able to live somewhat comfortably with the means to pay for essentials? Hmm…let’s talk more about how you fired one of your actors for having medical issues that you were made aware of.  That’s against the law, under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).  In California, the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) protects disabled workers.  But you’re all about supporting disabled people! That’s what you preach, right?  You know…until you have to work alongside them or you have to accommodate them in some way. Then disabled people are just a huge inconvenience for you. It’s too much to ask for you to properly accommodate anyone with medical issues, apparently. It’s such a hassle to check on anyone with medical issues that work under you and make sure they’re okay. Gotcha. /s
Summary:
Dhar Mann, multimillionaire, doesn’t pay his employees fairly!
Dhar Mann, Big Boss™️, gets all butthurt because his employees are speaking out against him! He fires everyone who speaks poorly about him and/or about the work environment instead of putting in the effort to come up with solutions! That’s just TOO MUCH to ask out of The Big Boss™️! /s
He will live to regret his decision.

Dhar Mann’s awful video about emo kids.
OK, I didn’t think that Dhar Mann could get any worse, but as usual, he has. This one is about a gothic kid being mistreated by both students and a teacher and accused of dealing drugs. I’m going to include a TW here for mentions of self-harm and drugs, because Dhar Mann certainly didn’t.
It immediately starts at the beginning of the video, when Kirsten, the emo/goth kid, walks into the classroom and is immediately commented on by other students, namely a redhead called Rose. It seems stereotypical, with one saying that Kirsten looks like she crawled out of a Hot Topic dumpster. Even the teacher, Ms Savage, makes a judgemental comment about how if Kirsten was her daughter, she wouldn’t allow her to dress the way that she does.
But the worst part was when one of the students asked Kirsten “Hey, did the psych ward give you those bracelets to hide your scars?” which was accompanied by laughter. She is also later referred to as ‘mentally unstable’ by Rose. The full quote is “Who would wanna sit with someone who’s mentally unstable? She could cut someone.”
That’s messed up, dude.
Self-harm and mental health issues are nothing to joke about and seeing it in a Dhar Mann video is just awful. What happened to changing lives?
Anyway, a boy named Abel (we’ll come back to that) is found with drugs in his locker, so there is a school-wide search and Ms Savage remarks that it wasn’t a coincidence that it happened today, while looking at Kirsten.
After some more bullying from Rose about how Kirsten was probably abandoned by her parents for being so weird, it cuts to a scene in the school bathroom with Rose and her friends. Rose is told to be careful with her eyeliner or she’ll look like Kirsten, with the other girls laughing and saying that she creeps them out. Rose has drugs that she got from a friend in a pharmacy. As she offers them to her friends (they don’t take any) Kirsten comes out of the bathroom. She heard everything.
Rose accuses her of spying on them, which she wasn’t. Rose then threatens Kirsten that if she says anything, it won’t be good for her. Ms Savage goes into the restroom and pulls Kirsten aside. Rose's cronies slip out, and Ms Savage basically takes this time to ask her if she talked to a boy named Abel, the kid from before. While she’s talking, Rose takes her drugs and puts them in Kirsten’s bag while also taking out Kirsten’s solved math problem (which is going to win her movie tickets and free dinner) before leaving the bathroom herself.
We’re all back in the classroom with Ms Savage asking if anyone can solve the problem. Rose is picked, gives the correct answer, and Kirsten says that she cheated and stole the answer from her.
Rose says she’d never do that, and the teacher immediately believes her, saying to Kirsten, “Rose is a good student, unlike you.” Kirsten tries to tell her about the drugs Rose has, but Rose interrupts and says that Kirsten is selling drugs.
Ms Savage immediately believes her, saying, “I knew it was you. From the moment I lay eyes on you, I knew you were a druggie.”
What a wonderful teacher you are, Ms Savage! /s
Kirsten tells the teacher about the baggie of drugs in Rose’s bag, and Rose agrees to be searched. Both girls are searched, and the drugs are found on Kirsten. She grabs Kirsten by the wrist to take her out of the classroom, but the leather cuffs on her wrists are sharp and she recoils in pain, saying that Kirsten shouldn’t be wearing things like that in school.
That’s when Rose says, “She probably wear those to cover up her scars from when she tries to cut herself.”
And the teacher says, “I wouldn’t be surprised. She’s clearly unstable.”
How is this allowed in a school? A teacher wouldn’t be allowed to grab a student the way that Ms Savage grabs at Kirsten in an actual school, even if they did break the rules as severely as this!
The Dhar Mann ‘so you see’ moment happens where Kirsten talks about the horrible upbringing she had with two drug-addicted parents and the way they lashed out at her after she flushed their drugs down the toilet. The cops were called, the parents got arrested, and Kirsten moved to a new school.
After this, Rose is exposed for stealing the answer from Kirsten, because there’s a clause that states that you have to show your working to be approved as the winner. Rose can’t do that, but Kirsten can, and she demonstrates her working while showing how she is a very good student that does a lot of extra reading outside of school.
Rose backtracks by saying that the drugs are in Kirsten’s backpack, and even if she did steal the answers, what Kirsten did is much worse. Cue the convenient save where the principal brings a student in that says he got the drugs from Rose. Rose also had a bunch of pills in a baggie in her locker, and as she leaves, she delivers a crushing blow to the student who snitched on her.
“You are not invited to my birthday party.”
What a devastating blow, Rose! He’s going to be absolutely crushed hearing this! /s
The teacher has to apologize now, because she is quite clearly wrong. Rose’s ‘mean girl’ friends try to suck up to her so they can get study tips from her, but she turns them down.
Good for her.
Also, I find it interesting that in the few times goth girls were mentioned in Dhar Mann’s videos (both of the goths are girls, there are never any goth boys), both of them have abusive/neglectful parents that themselves were addicted to pills, making the goth child refuse to want anything to do with drugs. (He has another video titled Goth Girl Picked On IN SCHOOL, where a goth girl moves in with her dad after her mum has trouble with drugs and she has the same assumptions made about her as in the more recent video. Lazy writing much?)
Is Dhar Mann implying that goth girls come about as a result of being abused? Because that’s a wonderful idea to pitch to an audience of kids.

The Truth Unfolds
Summary: Lyla learns that whatever happens in the dark, always comes to light.
TW: Angry Jay and Will, some cuss words but not many
Word Count: Around 2.6k
Note: Hi!! I know I haven’t posted in a bit but I didn’t really know what to post so yeahh.  This one was inspired by something that happened to my friend when we were in eighth grade but with a little bit of fiction to it.
Also Derek Shepherd is kinda mentioned but he’s not actually in it so I wouldn’t count this as a Grey’s fic but yeah.
Also also no offence to Dhar Mann, you’ll understand once you read.
Also also also if you haven’t you can read “Well, This Is Awkward” for some context but you don’t have to (it’s on my masterlist if you do want to)
Anyways, I hope you enjoy!! (:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You got Rameses’ work done right?”  Mia asked Lyla as they exited the gym after the bell had rung.
“Yeah.  I don’t have any make-up work.  You?”
“I have a social studies assignment.”
“You better get that done then because Ms. York doesn’t mess around.”
“I know.  She’s scary as hell.”
“Hey guys.”  Kameron greeted as they walked down the stairs, pushing between the two and walking in the middle, “Who’s scary as hell?”
“Ms. York.  Mia has a social studies assignment that she hasn’t done yet.”
“Dude, if you don’t finish that in Crenshaw’s class you’re screwed.”  Kameron warned just as Terrance caught up to them.
“I can’t believe it’s already the end of the first quarter.”  Terrance commented as the four of them turned the corner.
“Yeah, me neither.”  Lyla replied, “It went by pretty fast.”
“I wonder what exploratory we’re gonna get next.”  Mia wondered, she and Lyla continuing to walk as Kameron and Terrance stopped at their lockers.
“Same.  I kind of want art or life skills.”
“You’ll like art.  It was pretty fun.”  Mia informed, the two of them stopping at their lockers.
“What did you guys do?”  Lyla inquired as she opened her locker and began grabbing what she needed for the next three classes.
“We did a few things, but my favorite was probably when we drew a portrait from a reference picture.”
     “What did you draw?”
     Mia grinned, “Derek Shepherd.”
Lyla rolled her eyes playfully as she closed her locker with her foot, “Of course you did.”
"He's like, so hot."  Mia gushed, Lyla nodding her head in agreement.
“Hey Terrance, what exploratory do you want next quarter?”  Lyla asked as Kameron and Terrance made their way over to the girls, their books for the next few hours in hand.
“I kind of want cooking.”  Terrance replied, the four of them making their way to their homeroom class.
“You’ll like it.”  Lyla stated, “I enjoyed it.”
“Which one do you want?”  Terrance asked Kameron as they entered their first class of the day, which was writing with Mrs. Crenshaw.
“I don’t know.”  Kameron started, then lowered his voice, “Not Crenshaw’s, that’s for sure.”
“I don’t think anyone wants Crenshaws.”  Terrance whispered.  Mrs. Crenshaw was very strict and the majority of the students in their middle school despised her.
“She’s actually not that bad.  I mean, once I started talking to her on a more personal level I actually began to like her.  She’s a really sweet lady.”
“Lyla, that’s because you’re the teacher’s pet.”  Mia jeered, Kameron and Terrance laughing.
     “Hey!  I am not!”
“Mhm.”  They all sat down as the bell rang, knowing Mrs. Crenshaw would get onto them for not being seated.
After a few moments, the principal’s voice came over the intercom, interrupting any conversation that had been going on.
Everyone stood up and recited the pledge of allegiance, sitting down and listening to the morning announcements once finished.
Mrs. Crenshaw scanned the classroom after the announcements ended, looking to see if anyone was missing.
“Good.  Everyone’s here.”  Mrs. Crenshaw said to herself, putting her findings in the computer.  She then looked up, “Who’s eating lunch?”
Most everyone raised their hands, signifying that they were eating a school lunch.
Mrs. Crenshaw quickly counted the hands, then proceeded to put that in the computer as well.
Once finished, she closed her laptop as a student walked up to her desk, a slip of paper in hand.
“Where do you want this?”  The student asked.
“You can put it right here.”  Mrs. Crenshaw said, pointing to a spot on her desk.  Mrs. Crenshaw turned her attention to the rest of the class as the student did as was told and walked back to his seat, “I hope everyone brought back their A.R. test scores with a parent signature, otherwise none of you will be getting free time today.”
A feeling of dread rushed over Lyla as other students walked up to Mrs. Crenshaw’s desk and put their slips in the pile, realizing she had forgotten all about it.
“Lyla, where’s yours?”  Mrs. Crenshaw questioned, seeing as she was the only one who hadn’t moved.
Lyla tried her hardest to think of an answer, Crenshaw staring her down in a way that scared her.
“I, uh, can I look in my locker?”  Lyla requested, hoping Mrs. Crenshaw wouldn’t give her a detention for ‘not being prepared’.
Mrs. Crenshaw sighed, seemingly annoyed, “Yes, go.  But hurry.”
Lyla nodded her head, getting out of her seat and exiting the classroom.
She made her way to her locker, opening it and frantically digging through her backpack in hopes of finding the paper.
She sighed a breath of relief once she found it, only to realize it wasn’t signed.
How could she be so stupid and forget to have Jay, Will, or even Hailey sign it?  Mrs. Crenshaw reminded them for weeks that if everyone brought it back signed they would all get free time.
Her mind began racing as she tried to come up with a solution, because there was no way in hell she’d be the one person to make everyone lose free time.
She knew she couldn’t call one of her brothers to get it signed, because Crenshaw would find out, and she was sure she’d get in trouble.
There had to be a way she could get Jay or Will’s signature on that paper without Jay or Will being there.
That’s when a lightbulb went off in her head.
She grabbed a sharpie from her pocket, made sure no one was looking, and wrote ‘Jay Halstead’ on the slip of paper.
She locked her locker and put the sharpie back in her pocket, quickly making her way back to Crenshaw’s room.
Lyla knew this could go one of two ways: Crenshaw would either realize Lyla had written Jay’s name herself, or she would fall for it.
Crenshaw was a very smart woman, but she made her students write only in cursive, and Lyla signed the paper in print.  Plus, Jay hadn’t signed anything for Lyla this school year, and since it was Crenshaw’s first year at Lyla’s middle school, there was a small chance she had seen Jay’s signature.
Lyla took a deep breath as she opened the door, the eyes of her peers falling on her as she entered.
“I found it.”  Lyla declared, making her way over to her teacher’s desk.
She handed the paper to Crenshaw, mentally crossing her fingers as she looked over the paper.
She felt her heart beating out of her chest, because Crenshaw was not the type of teacher you’d want to mess with.
She was almost as scary as Ms. York, which is saying something, because nobody dared to defy Ms. York.
“Good.”  Mrs. Crenshaw chimed in satisfaction, setting the piece of paper to the side along with the others.
Lyla turned on her heels, letting out a breath she didn’t even know she was holding as she made her way back to her desk, turning to face Mia, who was sitting on her right.
“Did you write the name on there?”  Mia inquired quietly, a grin spreading across her face.
     Lyla smirked, “Yep.”
“Dude!  I can’t believe you got away with that!”
     “Me neither.”
“Okay, what movie are we watching?”  Mrs. Crenshaw wondered as a student made her way over to the computer, logging onto her Disney+.
Lyla and Mia both got up, grabbing a beanbag from across the room, sitting down by Terrance and Kameron as the lights were turned off.
“Hey Lyla,”  Terrance started, a playful look on his face signifying he knew what she had done, “Whatever happens in the dark always comes to light.”
“Oh shut up, Dhar Mann.”  Lyla retorted, the four of them bursting into laughter.
The movie played as their laughter died down, Lyla smiling pridefully to herself as she settled into it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*A few weeks later*
“Ugh, Crenshaw’s narratives are so annoying.”  Mia complained, throwing herself down on Lyla’s bed.
Lyla laughed at seeing how dramatic Mia was being, “You’re not done yet?  I finished last night.”
Mia scoffed, “You really are a nerd, you know that?”
     “It’s better than being dumb.”
     “Hey!”
Lyla put her hands up, “I wasn’t calling you dumb!  I was just saying!”
     “Good.  You’re not wrong, though.”
Lyla put her hands down, taking a seat next to Mia, “What are you writing about?”
Mia smirked, “About the time we turned Dante’s clothes pink.”
Lyla laughed, “You know, that was the night I found out Jay and Hailey were together.”
     “Really?!”
Lyla nodded her head, “Just know those images have yet to get out of my head and it’s been almost a year now.”
Mia laughed, Lyla cringing at the memory.
Lyla spoke up once Mia calmed down, “Speaking of Jay, I wonder when he’s going to be back from parent-teacher conferences.”
“What time did he schedule?”  Mia inquired.
“I’m not sure actually.  Will might’ve gone with him but knowing his schedule he probably got called into work.”
     “Dante went Tuesday.”
“Honestly I’m glad they do parent-teacher conferences on Tuesdays and Thursdays because then we get Friday off.”
“What difference would it make if they did it on Wednesday?”
“I don’t know, but what I do know is that they don’t do it on Wednesdays.”
     “True true.”
Lyla looked at Mia’s bag, “Want me to help you with your narrative?”
“It’s due Monday but sure.”  Mia accepted, getting up and grabbing her bag before sitting back down on Lyla’s bed.
Mia opened her laptop, getting onto Google Docs and opening the paper.
She then gave her laptop to Lyla, the two of them looking over her paper together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mia put her laptop back in her bag, she and Lyla having finished looking over the paper, Lyla trying to breathe as she was deep in a giggling fit.
“What is so funny?”  Mia inquired, because Lyla had been laughing for three straight minutes now.
Lyla held her stomach, “I-I don’t know!”
Mia giggled in amusement, which made Lyla laugh even harder.
After another two minutes, Lyla finally stopped laughing, trying her hardest to catch her breath.
“Are you good now?”  Mia asked.
“Yeah, I think so.”  Lyla stated, grabbing her water bottle off of her nightstand and taking a few large sips.
Mia sat down next to Lyla as she put her water bottle back on her nightstand, “You think Crenshaw will approve?”
“I think so, but knowing Crenshaw probably not.”  Lyla answered honestly, “I thought it was really good though.”
“Thanks.”  Mia paused for a moment before speaking up, “What did you write yours about?”
Lyla smirked, “I wrote about the time I crashed my bike into Jay’s truck when I was eight.”
Mia’s eyes widened, “You never told me this!”
“Okay so basically I was going a little fast and I tried to avoid the truck and failed.”  Lyla laughed,  “You wanna know the best part?  Jay was more worried about the damn truck then he was about me.”
Mia burst out laughing, Lyla laughing as well despite trying her hardest not to.
The girls jumped, their laughter coming to a halt as the door flew open, Jay standing in the doorway.
And boy, he did not look happy.
“Mia, time to go.”  Jay demanded, seemingly trying his hardest to keep his composure.
Mia got up, grabbing her bag as Lyla gave Jay a look of confusion and a bit of anger.
“Jay, what-”  Jay glared at Lyla angrily, Lyla stopping mid sentence.
Jay moved out of Mia’s way as she rushed out of the room, Jay looking out of the room and watching as she made her way down the stairs.
After a few moments, Lyla and Jay both heard the front door close, and Jay did not spare the lecture.
     “What the fuck Lyla?!”
     “What-”
    “You forged my signature?!”
Lyla’s eyes widened in realization, remembering the day in class that she had actually forgotten about.
     “I-”
“Yeah, you do realize what you did is illegal right?”
     “What, no!”
“If you did that on legal documents or something you could go to jail!  Jail, Lyla!”
     “I didn’t know!”
Jay scoffed, “Of course you didn’t.  Just like you didn’t see my truck when you wrecked your bike into it.”
     “Wait, you heard me?”
“Yeah.”  Jay chuckled, cracking a smile at the memory before going back to being angry, “But that’s not the point!  Why’d you forge my signature?”
“Wait, Lyla did what now?”  Will inquired from the hallway, having overheard their conversation.
Jay whipped his head around, “She forged my signature!”
Will’s demeanor immediately changed to one of anger, “What the hell Lyla!  You could go to jail!”
“I didn’t want to ruin everyone else’s chance of getting free time!  Plus it’s not like it was on a legal document anyway!”
Will sighed, crossing his arms and turning to look at Jay, “What’s her punishment?”
“Considering that she did something illegal and lied to her teacher in the process, I say she should be grounded for a month.”
“A month!  That’s unfair!”  Lyla protested, because in her opinion a month was way too long.
“Wanna make it two?”  Jay questioned, and that made Lyla shut up real quick.
“Exactly.”  He turned back to Will, “And she only gets her phone when walking to and from school, but that’s if we’re not driving her.”
“Yeah.”  Will agreed, “Also we should take away friends and she should go to either the district or Med after school.”
“I like that.  And she can do extra chores including the toilet downstairs.”
Lyla put her head in her hands, regretting her decision more than she had when Jay first mentioned it, because she hated cleaning toilets with a passion.
     “And all of our cars.”
“That’s a good one.  And every time she gives us a problem we can add an extra day.”
“Okay.  I think that’s good enough.”  Will turned his attention to Lyla, “Anything you want to add?”
Lyla lifted her head up, “Nope.”
     “Good.  I didn’t think so.”
Jay held his hand out, “Phone.”
Lyla got up, grabbing her phone and making her way over Jay.
She handed him her phone, which he turned off and put in his pocket.
“Thank you.  You know we’re doing this because we care about you, right?”
     “Sure.”  Lyla muttered sarcastically.
“I’m serious.  Trust me, I care about you more than I do my truck.”
Lyla and Jay cracked a smile, Will looking between the two of them in confusion but not saying anything.
“Do you have any homework?”  Jay asked after a moment, becoming serious again.
     Lyla sighed, “Just math.”
“Okay, then get to it.  Dinner will be done in an hour.”
Jay turned around and left the room, Will still standing in the doorway.
“What class did you do this in?”
     Lyla sighed, “Mrs. Crenshaw’s.”
“Okay.  Then you’re apologizing to her tomorrow.  Got it?”
     “Got it.”
Lyla began to make her way back to her desk as Will spoke up.
“Also, what did Jay’s truck have to do with anything?”
Lyla smirked, turning around to face her older brother, “He overheard Mia and I talking about the time I wrecked my bike into Jay’s GMC.”
Will chuckled, “That was pretty funny.  If you need any help with your math let me know.”
Lyla nodded her head, turning around and going to her desk as Will exited the room, softly shutting her door behind him.
“Dhar Mann was right.”  Lyla muttered to herself as she sat down, knowing that there was no way in hell she’d be forging a signature again.

Cw/Tw for ableist terms, derogatory use of narcissist, sociopath, psychopath and use of em at all. There's positivity at the end for personality disorders and especially after this frustrating topic.
When you're watching a vod for Dhar Mann bingo and then chat is just calling the kid a sociopathic narcissist.
S i g h.
Even if the kid shows NPD traits or ASPD traits, using those terms to demonize them isn't going to help them? It's just going to leave them to continue on that path and never learn coping mechanisms or to manage the toxic traits of their disorders. I repressed a LOT of my "bad traits" and then when this big trauma happened, all those "bad traits" came out and I couldn't control myself. And what did it lead me to? Feeling like a monster.
Like using those terms as insults doesn't help anyone! I mean, it's Dhar Mann, who cares. But still, the fact the chat is so quick to use those words and the streamer will agree with a character being "psychopathic/sociopathic" is just so gross and takes me out of the enjoyment. I just wanna joke about and make light of stuff. And it sucks since the streamer is someone so against ableism and such and avoids certain videos like Dhar Mann's autism ones (since they are always so stereotypical and icky.) It just shows how normalized it is to use those words to mean evil or awful. It's so frustrating to have to sit there, and I'm watching the archived streams and this one the comments got turned off (probably an automatic YouTube thing, ugh) so it's just like, I can't even leave a comment trying to educate like I've done before.
It just frustrates me to be sitting there, goofing on Dhar Mann videos, cracking jokes, and then people use those words to make the character seem evil or bad. I'm honestly just tired. I should be used to it, but it still frustrates me so much.
So to finish this off, anyone with a personality disorder, a cluster b pd, and/or ASPD or NPD specifically, you're amazing. Having a disorder that stems from trauma doesn't make you evil. The world is shit and people hate listening to the voices of those trying to speak up and educate. You're doing your best no matter where you are or what you're doing. You deserve better and your disorders don't make you evil or a monster or abusive automatically. You still have a choice in your actions. And you don't have to be some perfect person to be valid. You don't have to be perfect on recovery to be worthy of love and validation. It's fucked up how the word treats personality disorders, especially cluster B's, and especially ASPD and NPD. Y'all know yourselves best. Keep doing your best, whatever that may look like! You don't owe anyone anything! 💜💜💜
(I'm cluster b too :) )
And this post is geared towards cluster B's since this is discussing the ableist terms used towards ASPD and NPD. But for Cluster A's and C's, I see you! I have PPD and AVPD and my friend has DPD! You're valid and you're seen! It sucks not having a lot of access to info on your disorders cause of how forgotten they seem to be and how little people know about them, but you're so valid and you're doing your best! No matter what disorders you have, you matter so much and you don't owe anyone anything either! 💜💜💜 Much love for all people with personality disorders!

I know you’re probably not in the mood for some Dhar Mann shit right now but currently there’s news going on that DM hasn’t been paying his actors and they’re making a protest about it. What do you think about that?
Yeah, I just saw one of the actors talking about her experience with someone on a live stream off of TikTok. I'm considering making a post to discuss that topic. I just need to look more into it, as this is fairly new and I don't know how long this will be going on.
He's violating labor laws, I know that much. Considering his history of committing fraud, I wouldn't be shocked if DM gets in trouble again. Especially considering there are children working under him too. I think he'd get in deeper shit just because of the kids alone. People use the excuse that the actors are under a contract and that "It's show biz!", but they're completely missing the point. It doesn't matter if the actors are contracted or not. It sure as hell doesn't matter if it's "show biz" or not. DM still needs to pay the actors a liveable wage for their time. They have every right to protest. I honestly don't blame them. If he "pays his actors well", like he's claimed, why's he taking vacations to avoid everyone? Seems pretty fishy to me.
He's a multimillionaire. DM is very capable of paying the actors fairly. He's just choosing not to.

Random OC Facts 4 U:
(TW: first two facts contains mention of eating disorders!)
~~~
Bunny used to be severely underweight during childhood. At first it was due to severe pica, which improved before they eventually suffered with anorexia due to repeated trauma.
Bunny still suffers from pica.
~~~
Lyra has vitiligo, but tries to keep it a secret due to her massive insecurities.
Bunny used to be a professional dancer, but dropped out and changed to swimming. Around this time, they also began pole dancing.
Dory had no idea what veganism was before he met Bunny, he doesn’t fully understand still. He started doing it to be Cool, and so he could act on moral high ground tbh.
Dory is a Marina stan. (totally not projecting lolllll)
Pasha used to be a professional boxer, but had to drop it bc ✨transphobia✨ He was able to briefly compete in cagefighting when Bunny was a bebe to get extra money, but had to stop when he was outed by another competitor.
Delius was a spinning instructor. He and Pasha both tended to hold two jobs as Delius was getting his degree. His other job was as a teaching assistant.
Pasha and Delius would alternate parenting responsibilities! Pasha would look after Bunny in the day and Delius would do the evenings, so they weren’t ever left alone.
Bunny has been going to the Grocery Store since they were 13. They are the same age as Grocery Store Man.
Dory owns the frog hat. You know. THAT frog hat. Bunny also has one. Pasha knitted them both.
Pasha is pretty skilled at dressmaking. It’s probably just practice though, as Bunny has always had pretty expensive taste.
Maddie loves house plants! Idk if I’ve mentioned this before but Maddie is 100% a houseplant lesbian.
Maddie’s a Lady Gaga stan.
Imakita doesn’t really listen to music that isn’t classical (she has been on this earth too long to keep listening to str8 music), but she’s secretly been listening to Britney Spears to try and impress Bunny.
Imakita’s Japanese in nationality, but most of her family before her parents originated from Ghana.
Genesis is based loosely off of several popstars. Her appearance and music style takes more of an Amy Whinehouse / Cruel Youth influence.
Dory does a great Dhar Mann impression.
So yeah. Here are some random oc facts 4 u.
I wanted to do something with them so I started writing and this all came out. 😊

i have a feeling dhar mann will get away with the treatment
He'll probably try to pay his way out of it, if the actors he fired don't file lawsuits against him first.

I’ve talked about this subject quite a few times now, and it’s getting tiring having to constantly discuss it.  I’m not saying any of this to be mean or anything.  I’m coming from a good place.
Could y’all please cool it with the Dhar Mann stuff with me?  I don’t want to talk about Dhar Mann, anyone who is or was associated with him, or his videos all the time.  My account is NOT and NEVER WILL BE dedicated to ripping on Dhar Mann, his videos, or certain people associated with him. /serious
My account has never been dedicated to one specific subject.  I understand that a good chunk of you like those posts, but that’s not what my account is about, nor will it ever be about that.
If I wanted to make an account dedicated to ripping on this individual, his videos, or certain people associated with him, I would’ve made one a long time ago.  I don’t want to be restricted to talking about only one subject.  I talk about a lot of different things. Clearly.
I haven’t watched any of Dhar Mann’s videos in months for a few reasons.  I’m on-edge and overstimulated constantly with how demanding, stressful, overwhelming, and draining my job is.  Watching his videos for reviews and whatnot do not help my case.  A lot of his videos are very triggering for me and put me in a horrible place mentally…which considering I just lost a family member I was very close to, I’ve already been in a funk for a while.  They’re not good for my mental health.  It’s not fun to be angry all the time either.
The second reason is due to all the protests from the actors, how poorly Dhar Mann has been treating them, and how he refuses to actually own up to the horrible stuff he’s doing.  The only reason why I made a post talking about the protests and the things Dhar Mann is doing is because he’s literally breaking laws and exploiting the people who made his sorry excuse for a channel big for his own gain.  I understand that a lot of these actors are classified as independent contractors, but again, what he’s doing is NOT okay and will never be okay.  If I watch his videos for the sole purpose of doing a review on it, I would only be lining Dhar Mann’s pockets and hurting the actors he’s exploiting.  That is the last thing I want to do, especially now. Contrary to the façade about how he cares about the actors so much, Dhar Mann does not give a flying fuck that many of the actors who are working for him or have worked for him previously are struggling to survive because they can’t afford to pay for bare essentials.  His attitude and how he’s been responding to the protests show that he doesn’t give a shit.  Despite me paying to not have ads on my YouTube account (for different reasons irrelevant to this topic), I refuse to line the pockets of a felon who’s exploiting people for his own gain and clearly hasn’t learned a goddamn thing from when he got in trouble ten years ago. I want to see that the actors are treated better, paid properly for their work, have all their needs met, and to be in a healthy work environment. In order for that to happen, not watching Dhar Mann’s videos is a start.
I just want to be able to talk about other things with y’all. Things that have absolutely nothing to do with Dhar Mann whatsoever.  That’s not an unreasonable thing to ask for.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m up for an occasional discussion, but I don’t want to talk about Dhar Mann all the time. I hope you know that you can talk to me about other things.
Speaking of talking about other things, I’m going to be introducing a first gen group to y’all pretty soon.  Maybe I might do a series of talking about different first gen groups that are kind of forgotten nowadays afterwards.  I don’t know, but I want to see how this one will go first.

Ah, shit…here we go again.
These videos are getting pumped out daily and they’re even longer, so y’know…longer videos = longer scripts for me to write!  So that’s fun. /s If you want to know why it takes me longer to pump these posts out, that’s why.  Plus this man physically makes me angry.
This video is one that I’m gonna have a field day with, since I’m a lesbian and I want to get married to my future wife someday.  Would I go all-out with traditional wedding stuff?  Probably not too much.  On my end, at least.  If my future wife wanted parts of our wedding to be traditional, I’d be more than happy to help her out on her end if she needed it.  I mean, she has just as much say in the wedding as I do.  That’s just wishful thinking.
Given how things are going in the United States at the moment, I’m scared that I won’t be able to marry another woman, let alone be openly lesbian.  Despite me being openly lesbian for six years.  I’ve got a plethora of fears about this topic alone, but my fears aren’t important.  The fears BIPOC in the LGBT community have are far more important than my own.  I know, fully understand, and acknowledge that I have an easier time being part of the LGBT community because I’m white, I don’t live in any third-world country where being LGBT is punishable by death, and I live in a country where being LGBT is widely accepted.  If it wasn’t for black LGBT pioneers like Lucy Hicks Anderson, Gladys Bentley, Bayard Rustin, Pauli Murray, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and Audre Lorde, to name a few, being the ones who first fought for our rights in the United States, we wouldn’t be able to get married, let alone be openly LGBT in the United States.  Drag queens, drag kings, feminists, sex workers, poets, and politicians in the LGBT community fought for our rights!  The voices of BIPOC in the LGBT community need to be amplified.  (I’m not saying that for brownie points or anything.  I truly believe this and I stand by it.  I honestly believe that LGBT history should be taught more in schools because people in the LGBT community did make huge impacts in history.  There’s a lot of history that we’re never taught in school and have to learn on our own.)  I cannot imagine how difficult it is for BIPOC in the LGBT community to be openly LGBT.
For anyone who’s not aware of other events going on in the United States, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and they’re going to be looking over contraceptives, same-sex marriage, and same-sex relationships in the fall, if I remember correctly.  They’re attacking the Indian Child Welfare Act, which is there to keep indigenous children with their indigenous families instead of having them taken away and put in white foster homes.  At least that’s my understanding of that law.  I don’t believe indigenous children should be taken away from their families at all.  The Supreme Court is full of conservative, Republican, pro-forced birth, bigoted, gun-toting, able-bodied, neurotypical, Trump supporting cishets.  I’ve been horrified about the state of my country for years prior to these current events.  I’ve expressed fear of Roe v. Wade getting overturned by the Supreme Court even before they announced that they were looking at this case that the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought for the Supreme Court to uphold.  I’m disgusted by the state of my country.  I have been for a long time.  I’ve been disgusted by how my country treats BIPOC, disabled people, the LGBT community, poor people, homeless people, mentally ill people, immigrants, and basically anyone who’s not a Republican, conservative, pro-forced birth, gun-toting, neurotypical, able-bodied, rich, evangelical Christian, white cishet man.  I’m even more terrified to leave my house than I was before, despite my state still upholding the right for AFAB people to choose.  How the fuck is the United States of America “The land of the free, home of the brave”?  Can someone PLEASE explain that to me?  Oh yeah, America is “The Land Of The Free, Home Of The Brave” to ONLY Republican, conservative, pro-forced birth, gun-toting, able-bodied, neurotypical, rich, evangelical Christian, white cishet men!  I forgot. /s (DISCLAIMER:  I know that not every single Christian is like this.  I’m also aware that most Christians don’t tolerate this behavior.  I’m referring to extremists, like what makes up the vast majority of the Supreme Court.  I’m not trying to bash Christians.)
You’re here for the review, not for me ranting about how Republican, conservative, pro-forced birth, gun-toting, neurotypical, able-bodied, rich, evangelical Christian, white cishets are fucking up the United States.  Let’s get on with the review before I pop a blood vessel.  Which I might end up doing anyway because this man makes my blood boil.
The video starts off with an old man named Trey and a young woman named Kristen (presumably a boss and an employee) on what looks to be their lunch break and they’re about to sit at a table.  Apparently they work at a cupcake shop, because the boss says that they can finish decorating cupcakes when they get back from their break.  Trey tells Kristen that he got another call about some kid’s birthday party.  Kristen obliges.  Trey looks over at a bridal shop to see a woman being fitted for a wedding dress and she’s showing off to her soon-to-be wife.  He tells his employee that’s “what’s wrong with the world”.  Kristen is confused.  Trey says that two women getting married is disgusting.  Kristen is visibly uncomfortable and wants to say something, but she doesn’t say anything.  Her boss gets up and walks over to the bridal shop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trey acts like a total Kevin in the bridal shop (which he shouldn’t have been in, by the way…there’s a little thing called minding your own business).  One of the workers there asks if she can help him.  The boss says he’s got a business and he “couldn’t help but notice what was going on there” (AGAIN, MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS).  The worker shows off the happy wives-to-be and says, “Aren’t they the most stunning couple you’ve ever seen?”
Tumblr media
We see the wives-to-be and something about it rubs me the wrong way.  NOT because Dhar Mann put lesbians in. That’s not my issue whatsoever.  It’s because Dhar Mann just threw in two stereotypical lesbians that present as traditionally butch and femme and did absolutely NOTHING with them.  All he did was make them look like a traditionally straight couple.  As far as appearance goes.
Is there anything wrong with lesbian couples that present traditionally butch and femme, or lesbians in general who present as traditionally butch or femme?  Of course not!  I love both butch and femme lesbians! Butch/femme lesbian couples are adorable!  I never said there was anything wrong with it, so don’t get your panties in a bunch. /lighthearted   Just hear me out for a second, please.
The way that they’re portrayed is to appear like a traditional straight married couple (bride and groom) and they’re put into the traditional gender roles of straight couples.  It looks like there was absolutely no thought put into the lesbian couple and Dhar Mann just went with what suited him, which is cis heteronormative bullshit.  He went with the default and pretty much used them for his trauma porn to soothe his savior complex.  Like, not every single lesbian couple presents as traditionally butch and femme.  Of course Dhar Mann wouldn’t know that.  It looks like he’s never met a lesbian before in his life, let alone ever SEEN one.  The writing on his part is a slap in the face to lesbian couples that have both butch lesbians, lesbian couples that have both femme lesbians, to lesbian couples that have both futch lesbians, and lesbian couples that have any combination of these.  Seeing lesbians that don’t present as completely butch or completely femme (futch lesbians) in media isn’t very common.  The only ones I can think of are Haruka and Michiru (I mean, to me, neither of them present as completely butch or femme, though Haruka is supposed to present as butch and Michiru is supposed to present as femme), the Sailor Stars, Garnet, and Pearl.  That’s pretty much it.  Lapis and Peridot arguably would fit that category too, since neither of them present as completely butch or femme.  At least to me.  Lesbians don’t have a specific “look”.  But you’re too far up your own ass to see that, aren’t you, Dhar Dhar Binks?
I’m guessing he finally put lesbians into the Dhar Mann Lore™ for brownie points and he wanted to be hip with the lesbians.  Hey, Dhar, I’m a lesbian and I absolutely hate you!  Here’s a challenge for you, Dhar:  QUIT FUCKING STEREOTYPING MINORITIES!  ACTUALLY LISTEN TO MINORITIES FOR ONCE!  STOP THROWING IN CHARACTERS THAT ARE PART OF OPPRESSED AND MARGINALIZED GROUPS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF DOING IT!  THE SO-CALLED “REPRESENTATION” IN YOUR VIDEOS IS FULL OF NOTHING BUT STEREOTYPES, TRAUMA PORN, AND “INSPIRATION” PORN.  YOU REGURGITATE THAT GARBAGE OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
You’re not changing lives, like you claim.  You’re doing nothing but pissing people off.  You’re spreading misinformation about things you know NOTHING about and will NEVER begin to understand.  You refuse to properly educate yourself about these things because you just want to be seen as the “all-knowing good guy with good vibes all around” or whatever the hell your agenda is now.  I can’t tell anymore because you and your sorry excuse for a savior complex thoroughly disgust me.  Your videos as a whole are ignorant, mediocre, flat-out stupid, and unrealistic at best.  On the flip side, your videos are offensive, bigoted, insincere, arrogant, harmful, unhelpful, and even dangerous at worst.  The vast majority of people who watch your videos and unironically like them are young, impressionable children who don’t know any better and people who spew the same rhetoric you do, take your word as gospel, refuse to educate themselves on topics you know fuck-all about, and they refuse to acknowledge the harm that your videos cause to real people.  Or they just don’t care!  MOVING ON.
Trey continues on his homophobic rant that a gay (JUST SAY “LESBIAN” IN THIS CONTEXT, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY…IT’S NOT A BAD WORD) couple shouldn’t be going out buying clothes at a bridal store.  The lady sporting the tux (Alex) FINALLY steps in to call Trey out on his bullshit.  Trey then tries to clap back by saying that Alex looks ridiculous, she should be ashamed of herself, women don’t wear tuxedos, and they shouldn’t be “bringing their pride parade into the mall” and “scaring away his customers” (dude, you got bigger problems at that point).
Kristen steps in, tells Trey to stop, and she says that the couple is just trying to shop like everyone else.  Trey says that they’re “not like everyone else”.  Only then does the worker in the bridal shop say that Trey needs to leave.  Trey is going on a rant still, and the worker threatens to call security.  He drags Kristen along with him.  Kristen apologizes for her boss’s behavior and thinks that they look great.
Cut to the bakery.  Kristen’s working.  A drag queen named Kyla Velvet walks into the bakery.  Kristen immediately recognizes her and says that she’s a huge fan.  Kyla says that she’s looking for someone to cater for her afterparty and she’s looking at all the baked goods.  She says that the boss must spend a lot of time on the baked goods on display, but Kristen says that she’s the one who made them herself.  Kyla is in disbelief, praises Kristen, and says that she should open up her own shop.
Trey walks back in, berates the drag queen, calls her a freak, and says that he “doesn’t serve their kind”.  Kristen jumps to defend Kyla, but Kyla stops her.  Kyla tells Trey off, rightfully so.  Trey obviously doesn’t like this and feels threatened, so he tells Kyla to leave.

We see Alex and her soon-to-be wife at the bakery picking up an order.  They’re both looking at all the baked goods and how good they look.  Trey spots them and says he recognizes them.  Alex’s soon-to-be wife confronts Trey for interrupting their (Alex’s and her own) fitting.  One of Trey’s employees calls out the order for Alex, he’s about to hand it to her, but Trey stops him.  He refuses service to Alex and her soon-to-be wife.  Both of these ladies are rightfully pissed.  Kristen stands up for the couple and tells Trey that he needs to give them their order because they paid for it.  Trey refuses, Kristen tells him that it’s not the 1950’s anymore, and the couple says that they’d be willing to take their business elsewhere.  Trey takes the box of cupcakes and shoves them in the trash can, crushing them in the process, to everyone’s horror.  Alex asks what’s wrong with Trey, and he says that it’s THEM (Alex and her soon-to-be wife) that are the problem.

The couple then leaves.  After they leave, Trey berates Kristen for just serving customers. Just doing her job.  She stands up to her boss by telling him that how he treated them wasn’t okay.  Trey got his balls in a twist because A LESBIAN COUPLE BOUGHT BRIDAL CUPCAKES FOR THEIR WEDDING!  OH, THE FUCKING HORROR! /s How can Trey EVER recover from this? /s He then asks if Kristen is on his side or the couple’s side.  She says she’s on the couple’s side and that there’s nothing wrong with being part of the LGBT community.  Trey’s in disbelief, but here’s the twist: KRISTEN IS PART OF THE COMMUNITY!  WHAT A TWIST. She pulls a Clark Kent and reveals a shirt with a RAINBOW ON IT! *gasp* And it says “BE YOU” in bold letters!  When Trey sees Kristen’s shirt, he tells her to take it off and threatens to fire her if she doesn’t.  Kristen says that Trey can’t fire her because she quits and she regrets not doing it a long time ago.  She says that she’s gonna open up her own bakery and become more successful than Trey.

Okay, hear me out, I’m not trying to rain on this girl’s parade whatsoever.  This is a recurring theme in Dhar Dhar Binks’s videos.  Wanting to open up your own business is a great thing.  I’m not knocking anyone for doing that.  However, there’s a lot of time, work, dedication, and money involved with creating a business and opening up a business.  Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t you have a business degree or at least experience with running a business, money, and proper licensing?  I don’t know, there’s a lot of things that just don’t add up.  I don’t know about you, but opening up a business with no business degree, no experience in the business industry, no money (having to resort to taking out loans), and no proper licensing seems risky.  What do I expect from a Dhar Mann video though?  Realism?  Fuck that noise!  Everything’s all peachy keen in the Dhar Mann Lore™! /s
Then we have a montage of Kristen running her own bakery, everything’s going great, and then it goes to shit real quick. BECAUSE SHE CLEARLY DOESN’T KNOW HOW MARKETING WORKS. Not saying that’s a bad thing, of course.  She eventually gave up and went to look for another job…at the bridal shop.  The lady looks at Kristen’s resume, says they’re not hiring, and Kristen goes out to sit on the bench.  Trey walks out, sees her, and decides to just kick her while she’s down (metaphorically speaking).  She says that she’d rather be homeless than to work for Trey ever again.  Trey’s mocking her the whole time.  He says that when she becomes homeless, he’ll find her and feed her a cupcake so she doesn’t starve to death.  What a fucking pig.
Kyla walks in and sees Kristen.  She tells Kyla that she doesn’t work at that bakery anymore.  Kyla is relieved and says that Trey was a monster.  Kristen apologizes for how Kyla was treated again (though TREY should be apologizing, but he’s a big macho man who can’t admit when he’s wrong), and that she should’ve stood up for Kyla more since they’re both part of the same community.  Kyla tells Kristen not to apologize and she did what she could.  She asks if Kristen started her own business.  Kristen says she did but it already failed, so she’s looking for a job.  Kyla asks her how she marketed her business.  Kristen says she posted on Facebook, Instagram, and told her friends and family.  Kyla asks about target marketing or focusing on any specific niche, which Kristen obviously didn’t know what she meant at all.  She says that people in the community love to support LGBT owners because not everyone is very kind to them in other businesses, and suggests that Kristen sells to the LGBT community.
Of course, Kristen never thought about that and is unsure if that would work.  With Kyla’s words of encouragement, Kristen says she’ll try again.  Kyla says she needs someone to cater a party anyway, so it’s perfect timing.  Kristen tries again and she gets so many customers that Pewdiepie’s got some stiff competition.
Trey’s business is going down, like how it usually goes in the Dhar Mann Lore, and he gets what’s coming to him.  Kristen gets successful enough to rent out a bakery.  It’s Trey’s bakery, ironically enough.  He’s not having it. Trey blames his business going downhill on THE ECONOMY instead of his abhorrent behavior that drove away customers.  He blames Kristen for all his bad reviews, which she had no part of.  All her customers pull up and confront Trey so bad he leaves!  And they all live happily ever after…whoop-dee-fuckin’-doo.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ, this video made me angry.  It’s cringe.  It’s offensive.  It’s bigoted.  It’s riddled with stereotypes.  One gripe I’ve had for a while, WHY do you wait until the middle of the fucking video to even say the characters’ names?  DO IT AT THE BEGINNING.  FUCK. Just because you write it down on paper, NOBODY CAN SEE THAT IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT.
Sorry this is out so late. Hopefully this huge post makes up for it.

Note
from what you’ve seen name your top worst DM episodes and why
We'd be here all day. Literally all the videos about racism, ableism, homophobia, classism, mental health, fatphobia, sexism, misogyny, toxic relationships, abuse, domestic violence, the ones based on true stories, and overall bigotry in general really piss me off. So...pretty much all of his videos. It looks like he has done no research or very poor research, and just resorts to stereotypes, trauma p0rn, and inspiration p0rn. Or subjects he has never experienced or subjects he will never experience in his life due to his status.
The ones about really superficial shit like being a mama's boy or about stereotypes in school are annoying, sure, but don't actually drive me up the wall and are just more childish to me than anything.

Hey. I am working on a script for a post about the current shit storm that's going down. Obviously there's new information coming out every day, I don't know how long the protests are gonna last, and there's some stuff I don't even know. I'm going to do more research so I can try to word this as best as I can. I'll even link videos I mentioned so you can get better context too.
(Sorry, Tumblr doesn't have an option for captions yet. That paragraph does some up what I said in the video.)
