Today looked like it was going to be a wonderful day until I saw that Dhar Mann had made a video involving a girl being made fun of for liking anime.
Is nothing sacred any more?
@mellometal and @destinygoldenstar should probably see this.

I’ve talked about this subject quite a few times now, and it’s getting tiring having to constantly discuss it.  I’m not saying any of this to be mean or anything.  I’m coming from a good place.
Could y’all please cool it with the Dhar Mann stuff with me?  I don’t want to talk about Dhar Mann, anyone who is or was associated with him, or his videos all the time.  My account is NOT and NEVER WILL BE dedicated to ripping on Dhar Mann, his videos, or certain people associated with him. /serious
My account has never been dedicated to one specific subject.  I understand that a good chunk of you like those posts, but that’s not what my account is about, nor will it ever be about that.
If I wanted to make an account dedicated to ripping on this individual, his videos, or certain people associated with him, I would’ve made one a long time ago.  I don’t want to be restricted to talking about only one subject.  I talk about a lot of different things. Clearly.
I haven’t watched any of Dhar Mann’s videos in months for a few reasons.  I’m on-edge and overstimulated constantly with how demanding, stressful, overwhelming, and draining my job is.  Watching his videos for reviews and whatnot do not help my case.  A lot of his videos are very triggering for me and put me in a horrible place mentally…which considering I just lost a family member I was very close to, I’ve already been in a funk for a while.  They’re not good for my mental health.  It’s not fun to be angry all the time either.
The second reason is due to all the protests from the actors, how poorly Dhar Mann has been treating them, and how he refuses to actually own up to the horrible stuff he’s doing.  The only reason why I made a post talking about the protests and the things Dhar Mann is doing is because he’s literally breaking laws and exploiting the people who made his sorry excuse for a channel big for his own gain.  I understand that a lot of these actors are classified as independent contractors, but again, what he’s doing is NOT okay and will never be okay.  If I watch his videos for the sole purpose of doing a review on it, I would only be lining Dhar Mann’s pockets and hurting the actors he’s exploiting.  That is the last thing I want to do, especially now. Contrary to the façade about how he cares about the actors so much, Dhar Mann does not give a flying fuck that many of the actors who are working for him or have worked for him previously are struggling to survive because they can’t afford to pay for bare essentials.  His attitude and how he’s been responding to the protests show that he doesn’t give a shit.  Despite me paying to not have ads on my YouTube account (for different reasons irrelevant to this topic), I refuse to line the pockets of a felon who’s exploiting people for his own gain and clearly hasn’t learned a goddamn thing from when he got in trouble ten years ago. I want to see that the actors are treated better, paid properly for their work, have all their needs met, and to be in a healthy work environment. In order for that to happen, not watching Dhar Mann’s videos is a start.
I just want to be able to talk about other things with y’all. Things that have absolutely nothing to do with Dhar Mann whatsoever.  That’s not an unreasonable thing to ask for.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m up for an occasional discussion, but I don’t want to talk about Dhar Mann all the time. I hope you know that you can talk to me about other things.
Speaking of talking about other things, I’m going to be introducing a first gen group to y’all pretty soon.  Maybe I might do a series of talking about different first gen groups that are kind of forgotten nowadays afterwards.  I don’t know, but I want to see how this one will go first.

Dhar Mann’s awful video about emo kids.
OK, I didn’t think that Dhar Mann could get any worse, but as usual, he has. This one is about a gothic kid being mistreated by both students and a teacher and accused of dealing drugs. I’m going to include a TW here for mentions of self-harm and drugs, because Dhar Mann certainly didn’t.
It immediately starts at the beginning of the video, when Kirsten, the emo/goth kid, walks into the classroom and is immediately commented on by other students, namely a redhead called Rose. It seems stereotypical, with one saying that Kirsten looks like she crawled out of a Hot Topic dumpster. Even the teacher, Ms Savage, makes a judgemental comment about how if Kirsten was her daughter, she wouldn’t allow her to dress the way that she does.
But the worst part was when one of the students asked Kirsten “Hey, did the psych ward give you those bracelets to hide your scars?” which was accompanied by laughter. She is also later referred to as ‘mentally unstable’ by Rose. The full quote is “Who would wanna sit with someone who’s mentally unstable? She could cut someone.”
That’s messed up, dude.
Self-harm and mental health issues are nothing to joke about and seeing it in a Dhar Mann video is just awful. What happened to changing lives?
Anyway, a boy named Abel (we’ll come back to that) is found with drugs in his locker, so there is a school-wide search and Ms Savage remarks that it wasn’t a coincidence that it happened today, while looking at Kirsten.
After some more bullying from Rose about how Kirsten was probably abandoned by her parents for being so weird, it cuts to a scene in the school bathroom with Rose and her friends. Rose is told to be careful with her eyeliner or she’ll look like Kirsten, with the other girls laughing and saying that she creeps them out. Rose has drugs that she got from a friend in a pharmacy. As she offers them to her friends (they dont take any) Kirsten comes out of the bathroom. She heard everything.
Rose accuses her of spying on them, which she wasn’t. Rose then threatens Kirsten that if she says anything, it won’t be good for her. Ms Savage goes into the restroom and pulls Kirsten aside. Rose's cronies slip out, and Ms Savage basically takes this time to ask her if she talked to a boy named Abel, the kid from before. While she’s talking, Rose takes her drugs and puts them in Kirsten’s bag while also taking out Kirsten’s solved math problem (which is going to win her movie tickets and free dinner) before leaving the bathroom herself.
We’re all back in the classroom with Ms Savage asking if anyone can solve the problem. Rose is picked, gives the correct answer, and Kirsten says that she cheated and stole the answer from her.
Rose says she’d never do that, and the teacher immediately believes her, saying to Kirsten, “Rose is a good student, unlike you.” Kirsten tries to tell her about the drugs Rose has, but Rose interrupts and says that Kirsten is selling drugs.
Ms Savage immediately believes her, saying, “I knew it was you. From the moment I lay eyes on you, I knew you were a druggie.”
What a wonderful teacher you are, Ms Savage! /s
Kirsten tells the teacher about the baggie of drugs in Rose’s bag, and Rose agrees to be searched. Both girls are searched, and the drugs are found on Kirsten. She grabs Kirsten by the wrist to take her out of the classroom, but the leather cuffs on her wrists are sharp and she recoils in pain, saying that Kirsten shouldn’t be wearing things like that in school.
That’s when Rose says, “She probably wear those to cover up her scars from when she tries to cut herself.”
And the teacher says, “I wouldn’t be surprised. She’s clearly unstable.”
How is this allowed in a school? A teacher wouldn’t be allowed to grab a student the way that Ms Savage grabs at Kirsten in an actual school, even if they did break the rules as severely as this!
The Dhar Mann ‘so you see’ moment happens where Kirsten talks about the horrible upbringing she had with two drug-addicted parents and the way they lashed out at her after she flushed their drugs down the toilet. The cops were called, the parents got arrested, and Kirsten moved to a new school.
After this, Rose is exposed for stealing the answer from Kirsten, because there’s a clause that states that you have to show your working to be approved as the winner. Rose can’t do that, but Kirsten can, and she demonstrates her working while showing how she is a very good student that does a lot of extra reading outside of school.
Rose backtracks by saying that the drugs are in Kirsten’s backpack, and even if she did steal the answers, what Kirsten did is much worse. Cue the convenient save where the principal brings a student in that says he got the drugs from Rose. Rose also had a bunch of pills in a baggie in her locker, and as she leaves, she delivers a crushing blow to the student who snitched on her.
“You are not invited to my birthday party.”
What a devastating blow, Rose! He’s going to be absolutely crushed hearing this! /s
The teacher has to apologize now, because she is quite clearly wrong. Rose’s ‘mean girl’ friends try to suck up to her so they can get study tips from her, but she turns them down.
Good for her.
Also, I find it interesting that in the few times goth girls were mentioned in Dhar Mann’s videos (both of the goths are girls, there are never any goth boys), both of them have abusive/neglectful parents that themselves were addicted to pills, making the goth child refuse to want anything to do with drugs. (He has another video titled Goth Girl Picked On IN SCHOOL, where a goth girl moves in with her dad after her mum has trouble with drugs and she has the same assumptions made about her as in the more recent video. Lazy writing much?)
Is Dhar Mann implying that goth girls come about as a result of being abused? Because that’s a wonderful idea to pitch to an audience of kids.

Dhar Mann’s newest video to date is about a Muslim girl in a hijab being kicked off a plane seat, with the thumbnail of a Muslim girl (although the actor probably isn’t Muslim, knowing Dhar Mann) crying in the thumbnail.
I wanted Muslim girl representation, but not like this.

Dhar Mann videos backfiring #5
I didn’t think that I would end up doing any more, but here I am anyways this time with a kid called Eddie, which is almost as bad as another recurring character, Mikey. @destinygoldenstar has made plenty of posts about videos with him (Mikey) in them. Eddie is just like that, which shows just how much effort Dhar Mann and his writers have put into the creation of reoccurring characters.
Anyway, the video starts off talking about a go-kart that Eddie wants really badly, and the only way you can get that go-kart is by selling the most chocolates. However, another student, Paula, is way ahead of him for that go-kart because she has sold a lot more chocolate bars than him at her rich dad’s office to his employees. Eddie is infuriated and plots to get that coveted go-kart, mainly so he could rub it in Paula’s face.
Eddie has two friends called Brett and Oscar. Brett is the rule-abiding one of the three who doesn’t agree to help Eddie, Oscar is Eddie’s self-described ride or die who sticks with Eddie’s stupid schemes, and Eddie is the one that comes up with the schemes.
Oscar and Eddie agree to combine the amount of chocolates sold so they could win the go-kart and share joint custody of the go-kart for presumably the rest of their lives. That is forbidden according to the rules, but that doesn’t bother either of them, and they both decide to start planning a way to get the money. Brett is the one that says the iconic line of “Cheaters never win.” Eddie scoffs at him and goes, “Who are you, Dhar Mann?”
Way to subtly reference yourself, dude.
The first scheme is to stand outside of stores in the mall and sell the chocolate bars under the guise of the money going towards their grandfather’s heart surgery. They get caught after they slip up and forget what kind of surgery their fake grandfather needs and have to make a hasty exit.
The next scheme they come up with is borrowing Oscar’s uncle’s out-of-action ice cream truck (courtesy of a broken freezer) to sell their chocolate bars out of. It quickly turns illegal when Eddie decides that the spot they’re at is lame and underpopulated (read: has no people to scam) and takes the ice cream truck for a joyride to somewhere of more people. This scheme goes awry when he produces the chocolates to sell and they’ve melted in the heat.
Eddie finally decides on his last scheme and just straight up steals the money from Paula’s locker. This scheme actually seems to work, save for one damning detail: the glove.
I didn’t mention this earlier, but Eddie was so confident that he would win that he got racing gloves with his initials on them, leaving one of them in Paula’s locker when he took her money. This is exposed by Paula, who gets the glove and shows it to the principal as he is handing over the reward to Eddie, WHO IS WEARING THE OTHER GLOVE.
Just when Eddie is being exposed, Brett comes in out of nowhere with his own cash which is more than Paula’s and Eddie’s, and he gets the go-kart instead.
In the end, Eddie is dragged off the stage to the principal’s office in disgrace as everyone booed at him, Brett gets the go-kart, and that’s supposed to be the reason why you don’t scam people.

Dhar Mann videos backfiring #5
So, Dhar Mann has decided to ruin a perfectly good Autism Acceptance Month by making a video about an autistic foster kid being mistreated by his foster parent.
There isn’t much about this video, other than the lazy writing. The kid (Kevin) being autistic isn’t really touched on, except for the part where the social worker tells the foster mother that she gets more money for taking care of him because he has special needs. Here’s the plot for this cinematic masterpiece. /s.
The foster mom is using the kid for the money she gets from fostering him and spends most of it on herself while using the bare minimum on the kid (only getting him the cheapest clothes, not bother to pick him up from school or even learn his name, calling him an investment right to his face, etc).
She is eventually ratted on by Kevin, who tells his social worker about the abuse.
His social worker pulls him out of the home and adopts him herself.
He grows up to be a famous writer, and eventually, he bumps into the abusive former foster mom, who is down on her luck, because she was using being a foster mom as her sole income and she is now banned from doing that.
Anyway, that’s it from me. Decided to take a bit off @mellometal’s plate because she actually has a life to lead. Don’t think I’ll be doing this very often, because watching these videos is mentally draining for me.

Dhar Mann videos backfiring #6
Dhar Mann has done it again, taking it to a new low as he makes a video titled ‘Youtubers USE KID with DOWN SYNDROME For Money’, which is based on the real-life story of Myka and James Stauffer exploiting their adopted child (Huxley Stauffer) on their channel for views before rehoming him once he is no longer profitable. The first problem I have here is that it is mistitled on his Instagram page (@dharmannstudios, not to be confused with his other Instagram page @dhar.mann) as being an autistic kid that is used for views, when the child in the video has Down’s Syndrome. There are people in the comments addressing it, but not enough for my tastes.
The video starts with the dad complaining about how their video wasn’t getting enough views for his liking, to which the mom suggests adoption. He refuses because their biological child, a son named Owen, has their hands full.
She pitches it to him like it’s any other investment, mixing in their YouTube channel to get him interested. She tells him that it will make them look sensitive and selfless to their audience. Also, this kid will get them a lot more views from a broader audience, which means more money, which means he can get that Rolex he wanted. They decide to adopt via international adoption, choosing a child named Hope, who has Down’s Syndrome. (Even though it says that it’s an international adoption, it doesn’t say which country they got her from.)
Her son, Owen, loves the idea of having a little sister. This is Owen’s reaction.
Tumblr media
[Image Description:] A screenshot of a black boy wearing a dark read sweater and black jeans. He is dancing in a mostly white kitchen with half a cookie in his hand that he took from the cookie jar. A green sleeve is to the far right. There is a square red watermark that says ‘CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE’ in block white capital letters. Subtitles are at the bottom centre of the screen shot, with musical notes on either side of the words “I’m gonna have a sister”. The subtitles are obscured by the Youtube bar going through it. The time of the video when it was paused was 1 minute and 20 seconds.
This is the parents’ reaction.
Tumblr media
[Image Description]: A screenshot of a black man and woman dancing in a white kitchen/living room. There are open blinds behind them that are letting in light and white cabinets to their left. The man is wearing a light green long-sleeve shirt and the woman is wearing a shirt with white and light pink stripes. The woman is holding a phone in one hand and their hands are blurred. Near the bottom right hand corner, there is a watermark of a red square with CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE in block white capital letters. The video is paused at 1:28. White subtitles are centred at the bottom of the screenshot and are slightly obscured by the duration bar. The subtitles read ‘WE GONNA GET THIS MONEY!” in all capitals with musical notes at the start and end. I don’t know why it’s in all capitals, it just . . . is.
Author’s Note: For the sake of the viewers of this post, I should point out that the full chant is: “We gonna get a daughter! We gonna get this money!”
Two months later, they introduce the idea of adopting Hope to their viewers, who love it. The mom calls it ‘giving Hope some hope’ and refers to Hope as being ‘special needs’ and nobody wanting to adopt her because of ‘her condition’. (Just say disabled.) They also make sure to show the mom faking crying for the video and the video being reshot again and again to get it just right. After they’ve got the perfect video, they talk about how this might get them over a million views.
They bring Hope home and they are already annoyed by her for the heinous act of leaving Legos on the floor. The mom consoles the dad by telling him to think about the views and the brand deals and it’ll all be worth it.
Another two months later, and in this time, Hope has been introduced to the vlog. The vlog has reached 500,000 subscribers by now, and they (the parents) are super happy about it. They are on camera filming their response and thanking their subscribers, and they turn the camera on Hope to show how well her English is coming along. (She is from another country.) She is supposed to say “Yes, Mommy,” but she just says “Yes.” The dad is pressuring her to get it right, and she knocks over a cup of some drink onto the floor as a result of the pressure. Owen offers to clean it up, but his parents don’t let him.
After that fiasco was over, the mom notices that when the dad put the camera onto the coffee table, it was facing towards Hope, meaning they could have recorded that and exposed themselves. They were worried about being caught not being as wonderful as they had made themselves out to be. (Also, the mom doesn’t want to go back to her 9-5.) There is a little bit about a brand called Fashion Hova (a knockoff of Fashion Nova) and they got 2 million views on their last video, the most they’d ever gotten. So, they’re just gonna have to tolerate it for a little while longer, if they ever want to have the Rolex or the BMW. (Dhar Mann mentions brands a lot in his videos, along with making up brands so he doesn’t get copyright banned.)
Anyway time goes on, their channel grows to 5 million subscribers, they are beloved by all, blah blah blah. They got some new stuff for themselves, such as a new house, a new car (a Porsche instead of a BMW) an Oculus and a hoverboard for the kids.
They try to show Hope as a part of the family, but this is just as she loses a game and gets upset about it. She is sent to her room and her parents have a serious discussion about whether or not they keep her. After all, they have everything they wanted, the car, the house, the sponsorships, the fame, the love. Their subscribers will stay loyal to them even without Hope, so they have no use for her any more.
Owen hears them and argues with them. They can’t get rid of his sister like that! She would have her self-esteem ruined if she had to live with two parents not wanting her. But the parents tell him that he doesn’t get to make that decision, and Hope is going to be rehomed.
One month after they remove Hope from their lives, people start asking questions. Where is she? Is she OK? Owen says people at his school are asking him, which is . . . weird. Why do people at his school care about the stuff going on with his parents’ blog?
The mom and dad freak out about it, because if they tell people that they rehomed Hope, they will lose everything. So they ignore people asking about Hope, and attempted to wait it out. But there were conspiracy theories about where she had gone, people start unsubscribing and then their brand deals fall through. They have no choice but to tell people what they did, people get angry and mass unsubscribe, and they eventually delete their channel.
From there, they lose all their money and start selling stuff. The Porsche is traded for a car that doesn’t seem to work and looks like a rust bucket on wheels, the PS5 is gone, the Rolex is gone, and they’re selling the house. From there, there’s a few exaggerated seconds of the mom trying to get the car door open and herself and the PS5 into it, and then get the car moving to her new job.
She then sees Hope (cough spies on them cough) out in public with her new adoptive mother, who insists that she will not get rid of Hope like her last parents did. She is spying on Hope behind the world’s skinniest tree, however. I don’t know how she wasn’t seen by anybody.
In conclusion, Dhar Mann sucks, the parents in the video suck, the parents in real life suck, Hope is amazing and Owen is amazing.

PG-13 Dhar Mann videos
Dhar Mann has decided to start making PG-13 videos for some of their older fans, and some of them are . . . weird at best.
The first one is about a man who throws a tantrum at his baby’s gender reveal because it’s a girl and he wanted a boy to take over the family business. Annoying, but nothing worse than usual.
The most recent one is one about a teenage girl being ashamed of her disabled dad. This is basically a remake of another video about a girl being ashamed of her disabled brother, so nothing new.
But the one that freaks me out is the one about a girl (labelled a ‘crazy ex’) kidnapping her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend. She immediately shows signs of being a creep, going to the places that he frequents and counting the exact number of days and even hours since they broke up and despite him telling her that he didn’t want her to contact him again. So she (the ex) kidnaps the new girlfriend and intends to keep her there until the boyfriend forgets about her. It ends in the new girlfriend hitting the ex over the head with a glass bottle. The final scene is with the ex in prison, while swearing to her best friend that is visiting her that she is totally over her ex-boyfriend . . . while repeating the same obsessive, stalker behaviours with the prison guard like it’s all a big joke.
Dude, she’s literally trying to stalk the prison guard, even listing how old his kids are. She has learned nothing, even though the lesson was supposed to be ‘you can’t force someone to love you’.
In conclusion, this is super creepy and should have never been on his channel as a life lesson, especially since the main character learned nothing.

Dhar Mann Parody Script
Here is my parody Dhar Mann script that I made on a spiteful night as a challenge to myself. @mayodayo, I hope you enjoy.
Nerdy Student BULLIES ATHLETE, Lives To Regret It!
Cast
Oliver (Main Nerd/Bully)
Billy (Athlete)
Unnamed Nerd 1
Unnamed Nerd 2
Ms. Quentin
Coach
Oliver’s Dad
Scene 1
Oliver is studying with his friends and quizzing them while Billy is kicking a football against a wall to practice scoring. Everything is fine until Billy accidentally kicks the ball at Oliver and co. They glare at the athlete for daring to interrupt them and their precious studying time.
Oliver: Hey, didn’t you see us? Watch where you’re kicking that thing!
Billy: I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to! I was just practising!
Oliver: That’s your practicing? Wow, you really suck! You’re going to get kicked off the team at this rate!
Unnamed Nerd 1: Or maybe they’ll just put you on the bench!
Oliver and his nerdy friends laugh. Billy is close to tears.
Unnamed Nerd 2: Go away, weirdo. Get one of your teammates to kick the stupid ball with you.
One of the nerds kicks the ball and it rolls into a gutter. They laugh as Billy walks away to get it.
Scene 2
Oliver and Billy are in a classroom studying English with Ms Quentin, a teacher who is generally about as useful as a chocolate teapot with regards to bullying. Nobody is quite sure if she is malicious or clueless.
Ms Quentin: So, class, who can tell me why the curtains are described as blue? I’ll pick Billy.
Billy: Um . . . is it because . . . the person decorating it liked the colour blue?
Ms Quentin: Wrong answer!
Everyone laughs at Billy.
Ms Quentin: I’ll pick someone else this time. Oliver, would you like to contribute to the discussion?
Oliver: The curtains are described as blue because the colour blue conveys sadness and feelings of melancholy.
Ms Quentin: That’s much better!
Oliver smiled the most disgusting, slimy smile at the teacher, who smiled back at him. He turned to Billy.
Oliver: Maybe if you were smarter, you wouldn’t have to go into a career field where you are old by the time you’re thirty. You’d be able to get a normal job if only you were smart enough.
The class laughs at Billy again.
Billy: Why would you say that? Ms Quentin, you heard that, right?
Ms Quentin: Well, Oliver’s got a point. Maybe if you didn’t spend so much time playing sports, you wouldn’t have gotten a D in your most recent homework assignment.
The class laughs even more. Billy leaves the room to go to the bathroom, but he doesn’t make it and cries in the corridor. He gets found by his coach, who is simply called Coach, because . . . reasons.
Coach: Billy? What happened to you?
Billy: Oliver is making fun of me. He says that people only play sports because they’re too stupid to enter a normal job. Everyone laughed at me. Ms Quentin didn’t even do anything about it. I should just quit.
Coach: Well, Billy, I’ll have to ask you a question. Do you like playing sports?
Billy: Yes.
Coach: And you want to do this professionally as an adult?
Billy: Yes.
Coach: Then you should follow your dreams. You see . . .
A flashback occurs and the camera shifts to a much younger version of Coach back when he was in school. He is being laughed at by other kids for some ridiculous reason that isn’t immediately noticeable.
Coach: I was just like you when I was in school. Kids bullied me for my dreams, my own parents didn’t believe in me, and my teachers kept telling me to stay in school so I could have a shot at a normal life. But I didn’t want a normal life. I wanted to be a star.
Another flashback is of Coach as an adult playing a professional game of soccer and winning for his team as crowds cheered for him and his teammates lifted him up as their hero. An official brings them a trophy which they lift as a photographer takes pictures.
Coach: I worked hard and had an amazing career until I retired at the age of thirty-four. Using the money I had made from my career, I spent time getting a teaching degree from university, because we live in America and the amount of money we pay for higher education is ridiculous. And now I’m a beloved coach in a school.
Coach: Remember, Billy, if you do the things that others won’t, you’ll live the life that others can’t.
Billy wipes his eyes and smiles.
Billy: Thank you for telling me this. You’re the best.
Coach: Don’t mention it, kid, unless someone realises that I heard about someone being bullied and did nothing. Now, don’t let these kids get to you. I’ll see you at practice, OK? Don’t be late!
Billy: OK!
Scene 3
Billy is walking to practice just as Oliver is walking to where his parents told him to wait for them. They bump into each other, making Billy drop his bag of gym clothes. Oliver dropped his bag of books.
Billy: I’m so sorry! Are you OK? I’ll help you with that!
Oliver: You’d better! You’re making me late to get home! Have you been hit too many times in the head playing your stupid sports?
Billy: *tears welling up* N-no.
Oliver: Oh, great. You’re an idiot and a cry-baby. What else are you, huh? A bed-wetter?
Voice: OLIVER LESLIE CROW!
Both boys turn. It’s Oliver’s Dad.
Oliver: H-hi, Papa.
Oliver’s Dad: Don’t you ‘Papa’ me! I heard everything you said to that poor boy! You were bullying him! I thought I taught you better than this!
Oliver: Can you blame me? Look at him! He’s just some idiot doing sports all the time because he’s too dumb for normal school stuff! Everyone makes fun of him!
Oliver’s Dad: How dare you? You know better than this! That’s it, you’re coming home this instant!
He turns to Billy and is very apologetic and embarrassed. He takes out a piece of paper and writes down some details.
Oliver’s Dad: I am so sorry. Here’s my information. Pass it on to your parents so maybe they can meet with me and figure something out.
Billy is left holding the piece of paper while Oliver gets dragged away by his dad.
Dhar Mann voiceover: Billy gives the information to his parents and tells them everything that Oliver did to him. His parents call Oliver’s parents and talk about the situation involving their respective sons.
Billy is shown handing over the card to his parents while saying stuff that nobody can hear over the sound of classical-sounding music. His parents then look at the information while typing a number onto a landline phone and start talking on the phone.
Dhar Mann voiceover: Now he’s not being bullied any more, Billy is much happier and starts doing better in every aspect of school overall.
Billy is handed back a test where the grade reads A+. He smiles happily as he stuffs it into his bag.
Dhar Mann voiceover: Meanwhile, Oliver is being severely punished. His dad confiscates all his stuff and immediately enrols him into a new school so he couldn’t bully Billy or anybody else in the school anymore.
Here, Oliver is shown being scolded by his dad as his gaming systems and phone are taken away from him.
Dhar Mann voiceover: Because he is at a new school and this school is tougher than the last one, his grades would slip and he was bullied just like Billy was.
Kids giggled at Oliver as he sat alone, eating lunch. Occasionally, he would have pieces of food thrown at him by other kids.
Dhar Mann voiceover: As Oliver’s life starts going down, Billy’s life starts going up. After a few months, they happen to run into each other.
Scene 4
Billy is waiting in a parking lot (it’s always a parking lot) when he hears someone walking the same way. He doesn’t look at them, but they walk faster. And then they say something that shocks him.
Oliver: Billy, is that you? I haven’t seen you in ages. How have you, uh . . . been?
Billy: Oliver? Billy looks uneasy. Long time, no see. I’m OK. I’m one of the star sports players for the school, got friends and stuff, everything’s great. So . . . um . . . what about you, huh?
Oliver: Not good. I went to a new school, and it’s super tough. The work they give is so hard and they’ve got loads of bullies there. That’s why I’m so glad I saw you! You need to help me!
Billy: I don’t get it. How could I help you?
Oliver: Talk to the bullies! Make them listen to you! You’re one of the cool kids in school now, right?
Billy: We don’t go to the same school. I don’t count.
Oliver: Now I don’t get it. How did you go from a loser to a lord? People used to make fun of you! I used to make fun of you!
Billy: Well, a wise person told me that if you do the things that others won’t, you’ll live the life that others can’t. Good talking to you, Oliver.
Billy walks off to nowhere in particular while Oliver stood there, struck by how wise he was at such a young age. That’s where the video ends, and a message from Dhar Mann slowly fades onto the screen. It reads ‘IF YOU DO THE THINGS THAT OTHERS WON’T, YOU’LL LIVE THE LIFE THAT OTHERS CAN’T.’ Credits roll. The nightmare is finally over.

No writing here, just want to thank @destinygoldenstar for critically analysing Dhar Mann videos and watching them so we don’t have to. Your willingness to give up perfectly healthy brain cells and your sanity for the sake of Tumblr is nothing short of admirable.
I salute you.

Note
Dhar Mann's video about a bakery discriminating against a lesbian couple and (I think) a drag queen is something I would like to see from you whenever you can.
Hmmm....definitely seems up my alley. I have a script in the works for another video currently.

Dhar Mann videos backfiring #4
It’s been a while since I last posted about Dhar Mann, but here I am anyway! I’m back with another Dhar Mann post, this time about a video called ‘Customer FAT SHAMED At BUFFET, What Happens Next Is Shocking’.
It starts out with a buffet (obviously) where Carie, the antagonist, decides to just get up from her food after merely looking at the fat woman, Jackie, at the counter. From there, the fatphobic microaggressions start, with lines such as “You’re really taking advantage of the system there, aren’t you?” and “Leave some for the rest of us, OK?”
It continues on in a similar vein, only stopping temporarily so she can bring a server into the conversation so she can ask if Jackie will get charged double for eating more food than everyone else. He says no, telling them that everyone gets charged the same regardless of how much they eat.
She also brings another patron into the conversation, comparing the other customer’s body to Jackie’s and saying that the other customer had to be better at controlling the amount of food they ate on a day-to-day basis.
When Jackie asks what Carie’s problem is, Carie responds, “My problem is with lazy people, like you. You probably come here twice a week, [and] stay here for hours just gobbling up everything you can find.”
When Jackie points out that she’s only here for a business meeting, Carie just goes “What business would that be? To try and get on disability so you can further take advantage of the system?”
It continues on with more plot-relevant stuff about Carie being here for an interview. A server takes a plate that Carie already had and asked her if she was done with it. She rudely says yes and snatches it away. The plate has a large amount of food on it, and Jackie comments about portion control.
A man in a white coat walks up to her and asks what she is holding, which she hides from him. He sees it and chides her for eating so much, telling her that she looks so good after the weight loss surgery. I’m pretty sure discussing medical information so openly is a violation of HIPAA. When Jackie questions Carie about what the doctor just said, she lies and says her body is from working out at the gym and Jackie is probably just one of those lazy fat people who “sits around shoving their face with Haagen-Dazs ice cream all day, and then complain about how fat you are”. And then two people from her high school find her and openly talk about her weight loss procedure, making it very clear that she had a weight loss procedure. They pull up a Facebook picture of Carie from a year ago that looks much fatter than Carie now, which I am going to assume is either Photoshop or the actor wore a fat suit for the sake of one picture.
Once they’re gone, Carie snaps at Jackie and goes “Don’t get mad at me because I can afford the surgery. Maybe if you did something other than shove your face full of food, you’d be able to afford it too.”
From there, nothing really noteworthy happens, other than it conveniently being that Jackie, the fat woman that Carie was mocking earlier is the president of Hot Topic, meaning Carie never gets the job she was here for. Because she never gets that job, she can’t continue to make payments on her weight loss surgery. Also, she spills food onto her top, because karma.
Now on to the critiques I have. First, big helpings of fatphobia. The idea that fat people are lazy, spend all their time eating and whine about why they’re not losing weight while doing nothing to solve the problem (the problem being their own fatness) themselves. Also, some ableism and classism to really round out the video, because why not? /s. The casual notion that disabled people are faking their disability and/or mooching off government assistance is something used in Dhar Mann videos more than once. And the classism being used by Carie about how she could afford to have surgery, and Jackie could also afford it if she worked hard instead of being lazy like most fat people. I’m only going to say this once.
Not all fat people can afford surgery, and not all fat people want one. Stop assuming they do.
However, if a fat person wants to have surgery to lose weight, then that’s OK because it’s their body. Also, surgery may make losing weight much easier, but that doesn’t mean someone can just continue with the diet they had and lifestyle they were living before the weight loss.
In conclusion, Dhar Mann’s video has a lot of issues and the same moral as always: don’t make fun of people in case they’re rich or become rich later, because they won’t help make you rich if you made fun of them before.

Is it time to tear ANOTHER Dhar Mann video to shreds? YOU BET.
I've been sitting on this one for a bit because I wanted to make sure I talk about this tactfully. The subject of parents abandoning their disabled children is a very touchy one.
Parents abandoning their disabled children simply for being disabled is way too common. Like, I understand that not everyone has the resources to care for a disabled child (which is why you reach out for help, and why people like me, who work with disabled people, exist), but it doesn't mean you just walk out of their life. There are exceptions, like if you truly didn't want children or something like that, but just flat-out walking out of your kid's life BECAUSE they're disabled is fucked up.
I know someone personally whose biological mother abandoned her when she was born. Why? Because she's disabled. Physically, and mentally, to a point. I work with this woman on a daily basis. I don't really know WHY exactly her biological mother abandoned her, but I do know that her being disabled was part of it. It's sad. It doesn't affect her, thankfully. I'm happy that she's got her biological dad, her brother, and another maternal figure in her life, at least.
ANYWAYS. Before we get to the topic at hand, I need to put an obligatory trigger warning, like I do with EVERY Dhar Mann post:
This post will be talking about parents abandoning their disabled children simply for being disabled, treating disabilities like they're tragedies (in this case, we're talking about autism...again), divorce, and some SPICY ableist bullshit from an allistic (nonautistic) PIECE OF SHIT.
If any of this triggers you or makes you uncomfortable in any way, you don't have to read this post. This isn't worth putting yourself in a bad state mentally. I would never ask for any of you to put yourselves in that position all for a post. Put your mental health and well-being first. Consume media that sparks joy for you.
As far as my response goes, it's definitely more calm than normal. Funny....since this video is about autism spectrum disorder again. (Third time's the charm, huh, Dhar Mann? NOT.)
LET'S FUCKING GET IT.
The video starts off with these two parents (Gwen and Allen) in a psychologist's office. The psychologist tells the parents that their son (Chance) is autistic, and she tries to explain what autism is to the parents, but Allen cuts her off. Why? Because he teaches at a prestigious university, so he AUTOMATICALLY knows what autism is from that fact alone.
Um, excuse me? Just because you're a teacher at a prestigious university, it doesn't mean you're an expert in everything. It doesn't make you an expert in ASD or anything like that. Unless you SPECIALIZE in that area. Even then, shut the fuck up. The people who know about being autistic are AUTISTIC PEOPLE THEMSELVES! SHOCKER.
Hey, Dhar Mann! QUIT WITH THE VIDEOS ABOUT AUTISTIC LITTLE WHITE BOYS AND YOUNG WHITE AUTISTIC CISHET MEN! I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT. It's annoying, ignorant, and it feels like you're doing this on purpose at this point to piss people off. If you're so uninformed about autism in women and girls, FUCKING ASK AUTISTIC WOMEN AND GIRLS! DO BETTER RESEARCH THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE AUTISM SPEAKS. The Autism Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) and the Autistic Women and Nonbinary People Network (AWN) are great organizations to go to for any kind of research on ASD in women and girls. STOP GOING OFF OF THE BRAINS OF AUTISTIC WHITE BOYS AND AUTISTIC WHITE MEN.
I don't feel I need to go too deep into the fact that autistic women, autistic girls, autistic nonbinary people, autistic BIPOC, autistic AAPI, autistic LGBT people, autistic teenagers, and autistic adults exist. Y'all already know.
Tumblr media
Gwen asks the psychologist if that means Chance isn't healthy. (I understand not knowing about autism, but don't treat it like it's a terminal illness. Please.) The psychologist tells her that Chance is fine, but he just learns differently and might need more support compared to his peers.
Yeah, autism can affect how you learn about certain things (limited and repetitive patterns), but there are other disabilities that can affect learning as well. Like how dyslexia can affect your ability to read, dyspraxia can affect your ability to do math, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can affect your ability to focus or on impulse control. Autism affects how your brain is developed, it affects you socially, behaviorally, and how you communicate.
Allen is upset, says that he can't have a son "with a learning disability" (ASD is a neurological disability, not necessarily a learning disability), and treats Chance like he's stupid for being autistic. Gwen tells her husband that autism doesn't make you any less intelligent, WHICH IS SO FUCKING TRUE. ABSOLUTE FACTS. I was totally with her until she began that little monologue with "Just because a person HAS autism". SAY "JUST BECAUSE A PERSON'S AUTISTIC" INSTEAD! IT'S NOT HARD. PERSON FIRST LANGUAGE ISN'T WHAT EVERY DISABLED PERSON PREFERS. Allen says that "they could have another kid" and "put Chance up for adoption". Gwen obviously wasn't down with that. Allen gives his wife an ultimatum that it's either HIM or their son Chance. Gwen says that she can't choose between the two, but she will stand by her autistic son. Allen gets up and leaves the office, saying he wants a divorce.
Years pass by, Gwen is single and taking care of her autistic son Chance, and Allen has a new life with a ✨perfect son✨ (Samuel). He never mentions the son HE abandoned (Chance). He's completely forgotten about Gwen and Chance. (YOU OWE SO MUCH CHILD SUPPORT, ALLEN.)
Tumblr media
Hey, Allen, how much do you wanna bet that your ✨perfect son✨ Samuel is autistic too?
There's the SATs, they're announcing a winner, and guess who it is? IT'S OBVIOUSLY CHANCE, OF COURSE. He's got the highest score in the country, with Samuel in second place. Allen is PISSED.
Chance gives a speech about how his mom really helped him, he struggled with autism, how Allen LITERALLY ABANDONED HIM, and THE CROWD GOES FUCKING WILD. Samuel, instead of being a sore loser, APPLAUDS FOR CHANCE. Stay humble, Sam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My thoughts on the video? If you cannot tell by my tone throughout this post, IT WAS DOG SHIT. This video was insensitive to the true reality of parents abandoning their disabled children just because they're disabled. What do I expect from Dhar Mann at this point?
Here's my response to his video below. Don't worry, I will fully type out my response soon for anyone who cannot read the screenshots easily. It's a lot easier for me to do that on the desktop site than it is for me to do it on my phone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For anyone who can’t read my response, I’m typing it out for you. Like I said, it’s easier for me to type it out on the desktop site than it is for me to type it out on my phone. It’s a real royal pain in the ass. But because I’m trying to make my posts easier to read for people, I’m doing this anyway. /lighthearted
First, second, and third screenshots (broken up into paragraphs):
Hey, listen, I appreciate the message you’re trying to go for, but can you please stop putting autistic people into a box? Can you stop treating being autistic like it’s a tragedy? Not every single autistic person is a little white boy in elementary school who’s considered “wild and unruly” or “super quiet and makes no friends”, nor are they a young white cishet man who’s a super genius or is how Chris Chan was before she came out as trans. (For anyone who doesn’t know about Chris Chan, there are many documentaries people have made on YouTube, and I highly recommend Geno Samuel’s docuseries, if you’re really interested in learning about Chris Chan.)
Autistic women, girls, nonbinary people, BIPOC, APPI, LGBT people, teenagers, and adults all exist too.
It’s very apparent now that you get your resources from Autism $peaks, a hate group that spends the vast majority of their money on funding eugenics instead of helping autistic people like they claim, claims that only little white boys and young white cishet men are autistic and ignores all other autistic people who don’t fit that description, have no autistic people on their leader board or on any board for that matter, have members who have actually fantasized about k1lling their autistic children, treat autism like it’s a tragedy or a disease someone can catch (completely false), act like autism should be cured (there is no cure, and ABA therapy is a total shit show in itself), and treats autistic people like they’re broken and need to be fixed. Also, not every autistic person is a Super Genius(tm). That’s so demeaning to autistic people who aren’t seen as intelligent in any way. I’m autistic and seen as smart; however, there are subjects I’m stronger in than others.
If you can’t handle the possibility of having autistic children, or just disabled children in general, DON’T HAVE CHILDREN. If you can’t handle working with or alongside disabled people, including autistic people, maybe find a different profession. Even if you do that, you’ll never get away from disabled people. Disabled people aren’t a disease. We’re human beings just like neurotypical and able-bodied people.
Fourth and fifth screenshots (broken up into paragraphs):
I would highly suggest getting resources from reputable organizations for ASD, such as the Autism Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) and the Autistic Women and Nonbinary People Network (AWN). Talk to any autistic person who isn’t a little white boy or a young white cishet man.
Instead of using the puzzle piece, which is a symbol that many autistic people, myself included, are offended by (because of Autism $peaks and other organizations before them using it, plus it symbolizes that only autistic children exist and that we’re “missing a piece” like we’re broken), use the rainbow infinity sign (for all neurodivergent people) or the red and gold infinity sign (just for autistic people). Instead of “lighting it up blue”, light it up red or gold. Do both if you want.
I’m actually really sick and tired of seeing just autistic little white boys and young autistic white cishet men being represented in the media, and y’all manage to fuck that up too.
Before anyone mentions Sia’s movie “Music”, that’s also very poor representation of autistic girls. Besides, the actress who played the autistic girl isn’t even autistic. She MOCKED autistic people. I know she’s a kid, but that’s still super fucked up. I hope she’s able to turn that around.
If anyone would like to discuss this topic with me or ask any questions, feel free to. I’ll answer as best as I can. Thank you and have a good night.
Before I get attacked for mentioning Chris Chan in my response, I bring up Chris Chan because allistic people think that every autistic person is like her (especially before she came out as trans). That person is part of why I wasn't open about being autistic or talking about my diagnosis until this year. I didn't want to be grouped up with Chris Chan because I do have very similar interests to her, I've been seen as cringey for having said interests, and just the way Chris treated autistic people who were formerly diagnosed with A$p3rg3r$ $yndr0m3 (like I was) really made me feel even more alienated.
Also, S1a supports A$ (Autism $p3aks). She's not a very good person to support. Some of her music is good, but her as a person....no. Her movie "Music" was gross, from what I've read about it and seen pictures of.
If you've read this far, thank you so much!

I didn't think I'd have to make a post like this, but HERE WE GO, since some people can't behave.
Anyone who's part of the "Dhar Mann fam", don't interact with me challenge! Full offense, you're annoying as fuck.
Dhar Mann's videos aren't inspirational whatsoever. They're not full of good vibes. You know what they're full of? I'll put down a short list.
Misinformation about disabilities and mental illnesses that are ignorant at best, and very offensive at worst.
Racism
Misogyny
Sexism
Normalizing staying in abusive relationships, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE KIDS INVOLVED.
Classism
Xenophobia
Ableism
Fatphobia
Trauma p0rn
His gross savior complex
Incel type beat shit
Kissing ass to the police
Poorly written scripts that are recycled over and over again.
Exploiting true stories that happened to real people for his own gain.
Performative activism
Do I even need to go on about what's in his videos? With the amount of sugar daddy/sugar baby videos he's made, plus all the videos about gamers and the ones about bullying, we'd be here for a while if I dissected every single one. Plus it'd be complete overkill. They're the same video in different fonts. I'd only make posts talking about the subjects in general.
"But Mello! They're supposed to be targeted at kids, not at teenagers or adults!"
I get that; however, just because they're made for kids, it doesn't make them immune to criticism.
As much as I think gamers are pretty interesting to watch (though I don't really watch gaming videos much anymore), to even think you'd be on the level of big YouTubers like PewDiePie, Markiplier, and JackSepticEye in a short amount of time is unrealistic. Those three YouTubers have worked their asses off to get to where they are. It takes YEARS to get to the level they're at, if you're lucky enough to get there. Having connections would probably help too.
I get that a lot of kids nowadays want to become professional gamers. They want to become "the next PewDiePie". Yes, you can get paid to game now, but it's not as easy as Dhar Mann has made it out to be. The way he paints this as like a super common occurrence and how kids eat that stuff up is irresponsible on his part. He knows that the vast majority of his audience are kids who believe everything they hear, see, and read on the internet...and just in general. The chances of any kids becoming the next PewDiePie, Markiplier, or JackSepticEye ARE SLIM TO NONE.
MOVING ON.
Honestly, at this point, I'm convinced that people are just choosing to be ignorant instead of listening to people who are rightfully offended by his videos.
If you still can't see how problematic Dhar Mann is, despite there being evidence to support it, I can't help you.

Dhar Mann videos backfiring #1
I feel like it’s time that I made a post concerning Dhar Mann and his videos. A lot of people honestly believe that Dhar Mann is actually doing a good thing and giving good messages. This has already been done by Jarvis Johnson, but I wanted to see if it could be done with another one of his videos.
The video in question was previously called “Kids MAKE FUN Of This TOMBOY,” and then something along the lines of “Watch What Happens”. However, Dhar Mann has since changed that title to “Girl BEATS BROTHER In ROBLOX”. No idea why he’d do that; the first title was much better at clickbaiting people.
This girl is a tomboy who continuously tries to engage in male-oriented activities alongside her brother and her brother’s friends, who reject her a lot. Eventually, he is caught by their mother and she chews him out for excluding his sister and makes him include her. He does so (albeit begrudgingly) and it turns out that his sister is actually good at stuff and helpful to him. After she proves herself useful in the male activities, he accepts her.
The lesson that Dhar Mann tries to give is that girls can do anything boys can do. But the lesson that I take away from it is that it is completely OK for you to discriminate against somebody until they prove their usefulness. Not as much of a deep dive as the Dhar Mann posts that @mellometal and @sahm-the-nb make, but it’s worth a shot.
