To nobody in particular:

I’m just doing this for fun. I don’t really know what came over me, but I suddenly decided I wanted to restart on my tumblr. This is more of a “professional twitter.”

This is a new blog, my old one is still floating. I have never really blogged before, and I would like to try it. I think I will tag these posts for a little bit, just to get traction and maybe some new friends.

My name is Scott, I use he/him pronouns. I am bisexual, from the US, (almost) 18, and I have a girlfriend of two years. Her name is Elise and uses she/they pronouns. I am an INTJ-T, a pisces sun, cancer moon, and a libra rising (if you care about that kind of stuff).

I am a huge writer. I play viola, I love public speaking, I’m a cat dad to one, film fanatic, and a college student. I am double majoring in psychology and sociology. I might be starting a podcast within a year.

Nobody gets to dictate your gender identity to you. That includes members of the trans community as well. . Certain factions of this community - trans women themselves - will repeatedly insist trans women are "male bodied" and "biological males". They will insist on using outdated terms like "MtF" to refer to the community, and if you push back they will tell you that you're wrong. . Whether you are transgender yourself or not, this is a form of transphobia. . It's also a losing battle. . You can refer to yourself as a biological male as much as you want, but that's not going to endear you to conservatives. They're still going to hate you babe regardless. . But also, what do you think your constant misgendering of yourself is doing to your psyche? How do you think viewing trans women as "biological males" will colour your ability to be an ally to your community? . I am a biological woman with a woman's body. I am not a cis woman, but cis women don't have a monopoly on biology. . born from broken bones

peeling back scabs only to rise

beyond graves, name long since chiseled out

blood seeping off not so angel wings

reborn in "mutilation"

boys-

forged in dirt

eyebags darker every night

and dying at the hands of "real men"

held against pavement

guts wrenching

tightly

tearing themselves apart

with alligator tears, soggy and caked in ashes

draped in words flattering, unfitting

coughing up excuses

forgetting how to breathe
