“Please, y/n, for all of us: take Ziva back,” Tony pleaded, on the phone. “She keeps looking at the phone and is all nervous and keeps looking up whenever the elevator dings. I’m actually begging you right now to answer her calls.”
McGee nodded from his desk. “It’s even got Giibbs a little worried.”
Your sigh crackled through the phone. “No. I see no point. If she truly feels remorse for what she said, she’ll tell me in person.”
Tony whined and leaned back on his chair, frustrated with both of his best friends.
“I have to go because unlike you, I do my job,” y/n quipped. “I’ll talk to you, Tim, and Jethro later. Bye!”
Tim and Tony echoed their goodbyes and hung up. Ziva had her hands on her head and was clearly thinking back to the conversation from about 24 hours ago.
“You okay over there Ziva?” McNosy asked from his desk.
“I do not know why she is upset! I answered her question and now she is upset at me!” Ziva burst out, her eyes getting that ’I love her but how the hell do I fix this’ look.
“Sometimes you just gotta tell ‘em what makes ‘em happy,” Tony shrugged.
Nodding, Tim agreed. “For the first time in his life Tony’s right. Tonight go pick up some flowers and sit down with y/n and apologize for what you said.”
“I just told her the truth!” Ziva defended.
Gibbs scoffed as he rounded the corner. “If I know my kid, David, you better tell her what she wants to hear before she pulls the cold shoulder.”
Sighing, Ziva went back to typing reports on her computer while thinking about what she would say to you tonight. She knew the guys were right, she had to tell you want you wanted to hear.
𓇽 - time skip
“Hello my love,” Ziva greeted from the table of your apartment.
You shrugged your coat of without looking her way.
“y/n, please hear me when I say that I’m sorry for what I said.”
Once again, you don’t acknowledge her as you turn to the fridge to grab the pasta that Rossi had given you on your most recent visit. You scoop some spaghetti into a bowl and place it into the microwave.
“I realize now that what I said hurt you and I’m willing to make up for what I said,” Ziva spoke. She wrapped her arms around your stomach and leaned into your back.
“So then say it, Ziva,” you say quietly.
“I… I would love you as a worm. I would make a little container with soil and leaves and flowers you like and carry you around with me everywhere. I’d love you if you were a moth, black widow, pirhannah, australian hissing cockroach, or a rabid wolf. I promise.” Ziva’s words were like the most beautiful song you’d ever head, playing your heartstrings like a cowboy playing a harmonica.
“You, Ziva David, are a goddamn sap,” you coo, turning in her arms to embrace her. “I love you too. I’d make a greenhouse just for you if you were a worm.”
Ziva laughed and pressed kisses up and down y/n’s neck. “I do not doubt that, my love.”
As Ziva clung to y/n, a dopey smile pulled at her lips. She really did love this woman… even if she became a worm.

please don't be in love with someone else
Tumblr media
Song- Enchanted by Taylor Swift
Pairing- tim mcgee x female! reader
Warning(s)- Just lots of dialogue if that counts (sorry about that)
Wordcount- 1,414
Summary- A reader has to come to her sense on who she wants in the future
“So,” I walked into the lab, twirling myself in my outfit. “What do you think?”
“Oh my,” Abby jumped up and down while clapping. “You look so cute!”
“I have to agree.” I looked over to see Tony, Ziva, and Tim walking into the lab.
“That dress is cute,” Ziva complimented my ash blue wrap dress with white polka dots scattered around it.
“Thanks,” I thanked them and I faced my lab partner. “You’re sure you’ll be fine when I’m gone?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine,” she reassured me. “Now go on your date. Who knows? Something might happen.”
“Yeah,” I put on my denim jacket and threw my bag over my shoulder. “Well, I’m gonna get going now. See y’all tomorrow.”
All of them said their goodbyes and I headed to the elevator. Pressing the button, I waited for a little bit before the doors opened and I walked in.
“Hold the elevator!” I heard Tim’s voice and I pressed the hold button. “Thanks.”
“It’s no problem,” I smiled.
“So, you have a date with Darren?” He asked.
“Yeah, I do,” I nodded my head and let out a chuckle. “I have a feeling that he’s going to propose.”
“Really?” He raised his eyebrow. “How do you feel about that?”
“I don’t know to be honest.”
“You don’t know?”
“I mean,” I sighed and leaned against the elevator wall. “We’ve talked about it once but never talked about it again.”
“Well, do yourself with him for the rest of your life?” The agent asked.
“This is turning into an interrogation,”I let out a laugh as I switched the elevator off. “Why do you want to know McGee?”
“I’m just wondering,” he explained. “Marriage is a serious thing. You’re going to spend the rest of your life with that man and possibly have kids together.”
“And we’ll figure that out kids later,” I told him.
“Again, do you see yourself with him forever?” He asked again.
“Again McGee, why do you want to know?” I started to become agitated.
“Because he doesn’t deserve you!” He waved his arms in the air. “You don’t deserve him!”
“How do you know who I deserve?” I scoffed.
“Because of the amount of late nights we spend together while working on a case and your rants about the guys you go on dates with aren’t fitting into your standards,” he answered. “You also talk about how much Darren disappoints you but you’re still with him. Why is that?”
“Because I love him!” I turned the elevator back on again.
“Even though he disappoints you constantly?” He asked.
“Yeah,” I sighed with a questioning tone and whispered the last part. “Even though he’s not you.”
With the doors opening, we walked out of the elevator feeling tense from the conversation we just had. Giving Tim a small smile, I started to make my way out.
“Hey Y/N,” I looked over to see Tim. “Just think about it okay?”
Nodding my head, I walked out of the building and got into my car. Throughout my drive to the restaurant where I’m meeting Darren, I thought about the conversation that happened in the elevator.
Was I really in love with Darren?
Is he the right person for me?
With the sound of a honk knocking me out of my thoughts, I saw the light was green and continued to drive. Pulling up into a parking spot, I got out of the car and walked into the little Italian restaurant. Looking around I saw Darren sitting at one of the tables in the back more dressed up than usual. Walking up to the table, I greeted him with a kiss on the lips and sat down across from him. Opening the menu, it took me a few minutes before ordering what I wanted to eat. With wine being poured in our glasses after ordering, we clinked glasses and I took a big sip of wine.
Throughout dinner, I conversed with Darren about his day at work. Since he’s the press secretary for a freshman congressman, it was mostly about setting his boss’ agenda for election season. I really tried to listen to him but the conversation that Tim and I kept on replaying in my head.
“Hey, are you okay?” Darren asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I replied. “Just had a busy day at work.”
“Constantly running blood tests and fingerprints?” He let out a light chuckle.
“Yeah, I guess you can say that,” I gave him a smile.
He knows that I’m a forensic scientist but he doesn’t know that I work for NCIS and a field agent if needed.
Wrapping up dinner, Darren suggested that we should take a walk in the nearby park. Agreeing to that suggestion, we grabbed our things and headed out of the restaurant to the park.
Looking up at the sky, it turned from its normal blue color to a hue of orange, yellow, and purple, indicating that the sun is setting. The cool spring wind blew the cherry blossoms off the trees which landed in my hair. I could see the anxious feeling that Darren was radiating off of him as we got closer to the gazebo.
“Can I ask you something?” He faced me and grabbed both of my hands.
“What is it?” I started to feel my heart beating rapidly.
“I wanted to make this whole speech but I know you like it when people are straight to the point,” he chuckled, getting down on one knee and pulling out a velvet box. “Will you-”
“No,” I interrupted him.
“What?” He questioned
“No, I’m saying no,” I told him. “I know what you’re going to ask and I can’t.”
“Why?” He questioned while getting up from the ground.
“I just can’t,” I looked at him. “I don’t imagine us together and I’m sorry about that. You’re just not the person that I want to marry.”
The sound of rain soon filled my ears as tears formed in my eyes. “I’m sorry.”
Walking out of the gazebo, rain started to pour down on me. Without any care of the world, I walked in the rain back to my car. Shutting the door, I started to let out a bunch of tears. Leaning back on my chair and closing my eyes, the image of Tim entered my head.
He’s the only person I want to be with. I want to be with him, not a person not like him. I just hope he feels the same way.
Looking at the time on my phone, I started my car and made my way to the apartment. Parking my car when I reached it, I got out of my car and locked it before climbing up the stairs to the level where the apartment was. As I got closer, I heard the sound of typewriting muffled through the front door. Knocking on the door, I heard the typing stop and the sound of footsteps.
“Y/N?” Tim opened his door. “What are you doing here and wet? Come in.”
Walking into his apartment, he gave me a towel and thanked him. “I told him no.”
“So he did propose?” He asked.
“Yeah,” I confirmed.
“Why?” He questioned as I saw him going into his room.
“Because he’s not the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with,” I explained. “He’s just not-”
I let out a groan and covered my face. “Just not what?”
“He’s not you McGee!” I confessed and got up from my seat. “He doesn’t listen to me while I rant about work. He doesn’t geek out with me about the latest Doctor Who episode or the next Nintendo game. All he does is talks about politi- umph”
With Tim’s lips placed on my lips, the towel he gave me dropped onto the floor, I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist. Fireworks started to explode in my stomach as we continued to kiss. His kisses were more soft and tender than Darren’s. They were more passionate which I love. Detaching our lips, we looked each other in the eyes with our blushed faces while catching our breaths.
“You don’t know how long I waited to do that,” he whispered.
“Too damn long?” I chuckled. “So, what now?”
“A trip to the Air and Space Smithsonian next week?” He suggested. “I heard they have a new exhibit about Pluto.”
“That sounds great.”

Friendly Lies
A/N: This is my first post/story, I’ve written before on Wattpad but never committed to writing but I feel like this is something I can actually commit too. Let me know any NCIS requests and I’m hoping to open up my writing to other fandoms soon too. This is definitely a testament to my ability to yap. Apologies for any mistakes :)
Also, I know the timelines probably don’t match up in terms of Gibbs knowing Tobias etc and Tobias having another daughter, or maybe they do, I don’t know but I thought it was a fun idea so belief will just have to be suspended. ;)
NCIS y/n fanfic, slight y/n x tony dinozzo, tony dinozzo x reader
Word count: 1969
Summary: Fornell’s daughter, Gibbs' Goddaughter, is an FBI agent working a case with her father and Godfather and decides to help get her dad to leave McGee alone after he found him asleep on the sofa with his ex-wife (I loved that episode so much) at Tony’s expense.
Tumblr media
____________________________________________
You’d only known Tim, Tony and Ziva for a few weeks but already you knew you’d be great friends. After only knowing them for 5 minutes the day you ended up sharing a case with both your father and godfather, you were making plans to hang out with them. Your godfather, or your Uncle Gibbs as you preferred to call him, was of course more than happy to see you and be working with you, although the protective dad act from the NCIS and FBI agents had driven you slightly insane. Although you loved the rare times when you and your father shared an FBI case, that time had made you nearly want to quit, which had driven you straight to Gibbs’ team, who were more than welcoming and friendly to you.
Now, you sat on Ziva’s desk, chatting to her and McGee while your father and godfather interrogated a suspect and Tony watched.
‘And that’s why your dad hates me’, concluded McGee after explaining to you what he described as the ‘incident’ between your dad and his ex-wife Diane.  Both you and Ziva had been laughing the entire time he told the story.
‘I’m sure he doesn’t hate you, Tim’, you smiled at him ‘he’s only mentioned it a few times.’
‘A few?’ Tim asked in horror, causing Ziva to snort in laughter. This topic had taken up a good 20 minutes and it had clearly been playing on his mind for a long time before that.
‘Look if you want me to talk to him I can’ you offered, trying to ease Tim’s obvious panic, but your offer only seemed to send McGee into a further state of pure anxiety.
‘No, absolutely not, that would only add to it.’ He spoke moving his chair slightly as it was currently situated next to Ziva’s desk where you were congregated. As Tim moved you gaze shifted to DiNozzo’s desk and an idea popped into your head.
‘McGee, I’m sure y/n’s right, Fornell can’t be holding on to a grudge for that long.’
‘He brings it up every time we see him!’ Tim insisted.
‘Hang on’ you quickly said jumping up from Ziva’s desk and captivating both agent’s attention, ‘I think I know how to get my dad to forget about you and Diane.’
‘First of all there was no me and Diane’ Tim quickly insisted, causing the pair of female agents to roll their eyes as they failed to hold in their laughs ‘But what’s the idea because I will do anything to make him stop bringing it up?’. Both agents’ gazes were fixed on you as you moved from Ziva’s desk to sit on Tonys.
‘Oh you wouldn’t have to do anything McGee, it would be all me’, you smirked as the two agents watched eagerly, ‘this isn’t entirely selfless though, remember when Tony told Gibbs and my dad that I’d been sleeping with an NCIS agent to try and piss them off? And it took me weeks to convince them he was just trying to mess with me and them?’, the two NCIS agents nodded, smirks growing on their faces as they pieced together what you were planning to do, ‘well I think it’s time I get Tony back for that, don’t you?’.
Just as you said this your father and Gibbs reappeared into the room and as they did, you got up from Tony’s desk and made a beeline for them, meeting them just in front of Gibbs’ desk.
‘Dad, Uncle Gibbs I need to talk to you’ you said, grabbing their attention in the most serious and anxious voice you could muster, grabbing one of their hands in each of yours, ‘I know this is really important and I want to be honest with you both’ you took a deep breath to highlight your nervousness. At this point you had captured your father’s and Godfather’s attention, squeezing their hands as you raised your eyes to meet theirs you finally said, ‘I’m pregnant.’
Now Ziva and Tim were clearly shocked and impressed by your lies, hiding their laughter surprisingly well and instead adorning looks of shock and intrigue. Your father and godfather on the other hand, with hands still held by yours, were looking at you with such pure shock your father had turned slightly white. Before they could even utter a word, you quickly continued, ‘and its Tony’s’.
At this revelation, McGee and Ziva quickly turned so that Gibbs and Fornell couldn’t see the laughter that was daring to burst out. The silence was quickly broken by a synchronised ‘WHAT?’ from the two men who held your hands. Their gazes had turned harsher, but you knew that if you wanted this to have the best effect you had to really milk it.
‘I know we haven’t known each other long’ you stated looking them both in the eyes, but were quickly interrupted by your father half shouting, ‘How did this happen?’, quickly followed by Gibbs’ ‘I’m sorry what?!’
Before you could think of an answer though everyone’s attention was diverted in the sound of a voice, Tony’s voice, ‘hey boss. Fornell.  You look like you’ve seen a ghost, what did y/n do? Tell you she’s pregnant? I told you she was sleeping with an NCIS agent.’, as he Tony laughed at his own joke, Tony sauntered towards his desk, but only for a second before Fornell was on him, pinning him to the wall. Tony’s face quickly shifted to panic and confusion, his eyes scanning the room.
‘You got my daughter pregnant!’, Fornell shouted.
‘What? No’ DiNozzo squeaked out as Gibbs removed Fornell from him, freeing him from the wall. You quickly shifted your eyes to where Tim and Ziva were still at Ziva’s desk, attempting to contain their laughter. You knew you didn’t have long before the two of them blew the prank, but you also knew that the damage would be done soon enough and you would have got Tony back and your dad would definitely forget about finding McGee and Diane on the sofa asleep together.
Suddenly Tony rushed over to you seeking some sort of explanation or help but before he could squeak out another word, you grabbed his arm hugging it slightly and turning the pair of you to face Gibbs and Tobias.
‘Me and Tony are in love, dad, you can’t stop our love’ but as you got to the end of your sentence McGee and Ziva had burst into full belly laughter, causing you too to crack and lean on Tony as you couldn’t stop laughing. As the three of you continued to laugh, Gibbs only rolled his eyes at your antics, shaking his head slightly and letting out a slight chuckle. He knew that DiNozzo had told Tobias that you were sleeping with someone at the agency to piss him off and he also knew that your dad had practically become a helicopter parent for a week after he had done so.
As Gibbs moved back towards his desk, you patted tony on the chest before calming yourself enough to say, ‘you should have seen your face’. Quickly, McGee walked behind you both to return to his desk, slapping Tony on the back as he continued to laugh at Tony’s expense. He stopped by your side quickly whispering to you how he was now free from any comments about Diane. Your gaze then shifted to your father who still stood in front of you both, surprisingly quite but glaring at you both.
‘Gotta keep you young dad.’ You smiled at him, kissing his check and moving back to Ziva’s desk, the pair of you still giggling and smiling. Your dad however, kept his gaze on Tony, glowering at him, as Tony seemed to continue to shrink under his glare, still looking stunned and scared. Finally his gaze shifted as Gibbs called him telling him to go down to autopsy to see Abby with him.
At first he didn’t move, continuing to stare, before finally moving when he heard his name shouted by Gibbs. ‘I still don’t trust you DiNozzo.’ Tobias said, finally moving towards Gibbs’ desk, his gaze remaining on Tony until they were out of site.
At this point you, McGee and Ziva all began to laugh again with the same force you did when your dad had pinned Tony to the wall.
‘I did not think you would take it that far’ commented Ziva, ‘I admire your commitment’. You smiled at her amongst the laughter but couldn’t respond as tony too moved towards Ziva’s desk, where McGee had now joined you and began to stare at you all.
‘Not funny guys, I thought I was going to die!’, Tony’s statement only caused more laughter though, as his hand reached his neck, fiddling with his shirt collar even though your father had only grabbed his shoulders. Finally you spoke through the laughter, ‘I told you I was going to get you back Tony and McGee needed by dad to lay off him about the whole thing with my ex stepmother, so really I was just helping a friend’ you smiled a sickly sweet smile at him before the phone at his desk began to ring causing Tony to quickly scurry over to his desk, grabbing the phone before answering.
‘Yes boss?’ he questioned into the phone, as you high fived Tim and Ziva, ‘right away boss’, followed by him quickly grabbing his things after he put down the phone. ‘Gibbs says Abby’s matched the ballistics from the gun, wants me and Y/N to bring in the suspect.’ He stated as he continued to gather his stuff. As you listened, you quickly grabbed your bag that was sat next to Gibbs’ desk, but before you could leave Gibbs and your father returned, arguing as they walked.
‘I’ll go with DiNozzo Gibbs’ your dad argued, his gaze landing on Tony, at which point Tony swallowed.
‘No you’re not’, Gibbs deadpanned.
‘Then, I’ll go with them both’ he stated as he moved towards the pair now standing together with their bags, but not before Gibbs grabbed his shoulder directing him towards the director’s office and repeating ‘No you’re not’.
As you and Tony turned and began to walk towards the elevator, he quickly began to argue with you. ‘You know your dad is going to kill me, right?’ he questioned as you pressed the elevator button, your gaze shifting to him.
‘No he won’t’ you dismissed, ‘but he won’t trust you for a while, just like how he’s been hovering over me for weeks after you told him I was secretly sleeping with someone at your office, or like how he constantly brings up that time he found Diane and McGee together asleep. I guess it’s just time for you to get a taste of what we’ve been putting up with for years now.’ You smirked as the elevator reached your floor and you stepped inside, turning slightly as you watched Tony’s face change from looking like he was about to argue, to just giving up.
‘You know’, he turned to look at you, smirking, fully grasping your attention, ‘if you were to sleep with anyone in this office, I’d be the perfect guy. You’ve already told your dad and although he’ll keep glaring at me and probably wanting to kill me, he’d never suspect that we were actually sleeping together.’ He said, waggling his eyebrows at you as you chuckled, and he reciprocated your laughter.
As the elevator doors, reopened on the ground floor, you turned away from Tony, shaking your head slightly and rolling your eyes , before simply stating, ‘In your dreams DiNozzo’ before walking out of the elevator, not missing Tony’s whispered reply, ‘oh you bet’, before he followed you out to find your suspect.

With a Little Help From the Team - NCIS Reader Insert
Pairing: Tim McGee x fem!reader, Gibbs x daughter!reader (brief/vague)
Word count: 2717
Warnings: this was a pretty fluffy piece! (not gonna lie), mild language, reader is Gibbs’ daughter
Request: @ncisfan “Hello! I saw your post from this morning saying you didn’t have any requests for ncis at the moment and I wanted to make a request. If for some reason you don’t want to write it that’s okay but here’s my prompt,(Idk what to call it) The reader and McGee have been dating for years and McGee has to tell the whole team (Tony, McGee, Bishop, Gibbs. That team please!) including her dad (Gibbs, cause why not?) when he wants to propose. You can decide on if they say yes or no but I hope you’ll write it. Sorry if I’m overwhelming you I just wanted to make a request”
A/N: I know I’ve told you this @ncisfan , but I absolutely love this idea! And a McGee x reader? Yes please! I did put this in both McGee’s and the reader’s point of view and changed it up a bit. (Yeah, I got super involved in this one and it got longer than I thought…and took far longer than I thought) I hope you enjoy it darling!!
Tumblr media
Tim stands in the bullpen, nervously trying to find the right words to tell the team about you, the team of which just so happened to include the one man capable of making him feel like a young schoolboy still wet behind the ears, especially since that one man had a lot to do with what Tim was about to say.
Tim takes a deep breath to gather his last bit of courage and confidence, which promptly fades away the moment he starts talking.
“I uh…well you know that I’ve been seeing, no dating…dating Y/N.” Tim stutters out as his nerves get the better of him, completely fumbling the carefully planned out speech he had come up with prior to meeting with Gibbs.
Gibbs narrows his steely blue eyes as he wordlessly nods his head, telling Tim to continue.
“Things have been going well, really well actually. And I’ve been wanting to, or meaning to…not that I was putting it off, because I wasn’t. That’s the last thing-”
Gibbs cut him off with a “Spit it out McGee.”
“What I’m asking is for your permission, no..that’s not - I want to propose to her.” He was speaking so fast, his words were nearly running together, his sentences jamming together into one that didn’t make much sense.
Gibbs doesn’t say anything at first. Instead, he continues to stare at Tim, looking for any trace of deception in his face. “Why?” He asks gruffly, startling Tim.
“Wh-why?” Tim squeaks out, an uneasy feeling weighing on his chest as he tries to find the right words to answer a question he hadn’t prepared for.
“Yes, McGee. Why? Why do you want to marry my daughter?” Gibbs pauses, still evaluating Tim and his reaction. “Why should I want you to marry my daughter?”
Tim takes a deep breath, a sudden burst of confidence washing over him as he realizes that the answer to such a question was right in front of him. “Because I love her… honestly, I have for a long time, even before we started dating. And, more than anything, I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I want to spend every day that I have left in this life showing her I love her and cherishing her the way she deserves. I can’t imagine my life without her in it.”
Gibbs surprises him then, with a small smile and a hearty clasp to his shoulder. “Alright then, probie. Now all you have to do is tell her that and of course, ask her to marry you.”
Had it been any other girl, McGee might not be struggling as much to find the words. But you weren’t just any girl. You were not only Gibbs' daughter, something that caused him far more fear than he’d ever admit (he was dating the boss’ daughter after all), but you were also close with the other members of the team, which made this whole ordeal all the more nerve wracking.
You had come to know the members of the team through your job as a technical analyst for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, meaning you spent most of your time hunting down case leads in a cubicle. Then, as you grew better at your job, and closer to Abby (who had had something to do with getting you on Gibbs team, although she’d never admit to it), you had been moved from that cubicle to a desk in Gibbs’ bullpen, unceremoniously joining the team, although not full-time as you still worked with the cyber/tech unit, your father thought so highly of (something he would never admit out loud, even to you).
You eventually became just as close to Abby as your father was, something Abby always attributed to ‘a Gibbs thing’, - “It must be a Gibbs thing because Y/N is just as great as Jethro and we just click.” Many times, if you weren’t working on a case, you could be found hanging out in the lab with Abby.
You and Tony were best friends, spending hours talking about movies and pranking each other. And, despite your “geeky background” of tech analysis, Tony never once teased you (a courtesy Tony had never given him). In fact, he had become something of a big brother to you, filling a role in your life you hadn’t ever thought you’d needed filled.
And then Ziva had joined the team, filling in little by little that hole that had been left after Kate’s death. Even with the high tension existing between Abby and Ziva, you and Ziva had hit it off right away, becoming fast friends. Eventually, despite the perceived oddness of your friendship, you, Abby, and Ziva became an inseparable trio, even occasionally ganging up together against Tony or Gibbs.
Suffice to say, you were important to the team, just as they were to you. And now Tim was faced with telling these people that he not only had been dating you (a relationship the two of you had decided to keep relatively quiet because of your line of work and the fact that you were often times coworkers), but that he was going to ask you to marry him, a proposal of which he was seeking the team’s help with.
“So, uh...I-well, I’ve been seeing, er...dating-” Tim starts, his mind scrambling as he tries to form a coherent sentence.
“McGee, the chickadee is out of the bag. We all know you’re dating Y/N.” Ziva says matter of factly,
“Cat, Ziva, the cat is out of -” Tony starts reflexively, before pausing and turning to Tim and then to Gibbs, his mouth hanging open. “Wait-what? You’re the one Y/N has been dating?” He asks incredulously.
Gibbs takes a step forward, slapping Tony on the back of the head. “Close your mouth DiNozzo.” Tony’s jaw snaps shut at the command.
“Keep talking McGee.” Gibbs says gruffly, his piercing blue eyes settling on Tim.
“I’m going to ask her to marry me.” Tim blurts out.
“We kind of knew that McGee.” Abby states, her lips pulled into a satisfied smirk. “I mean, you haven’t exactly been stealthy about ring shopping. Or buying the ring. Or getting it inscribed.” Abby lists off, earring a few incredulous looks from the other members of the team. “Y/N’s my best friend, okay? I had to make sure the ring was a good one.”
Tony turns to McGee. “McRomeo getting married? Why is this the first I’m hearing about it?” Tony steps forward to give Tim a good-natured shoulder shove. “You like it so you’re putting a ring on it, huh?” He asks with a Cheshire Cat-like grin on his face. Ziva is the one who moves to slap him in the back of the head this time.
“Ow, Ziva. What the hell was that for?” Tony asks, a hand already rubbing the spot Ziva had just smacked on the back of his head.
“When will you ever shut up and let McGee finish?” She questions, giving Tony a pointed glare. He opens his mouth to respond, but a hard look from Gibbs keeps him quiet.
Tim timidly clears his throat before continuing. “I’d like to do it here. And, um...I’d like to do it here, with all of you.” Smiles spread through the group at Tim’s words, several ideas already being blurred out by the more enthusiastic members of the team (it was Abby. Abby was already excitedly sharing ideas with the person sitting next to her, which just so happened to be Gibbs.)
——— You squeeze Tim’s hand before letting go, reaching for the handle to your car door. “See you at work.” You say with a soft smile before turning back towards your car.
“Let’s, um, let’s ride together today, to work I mean.” Tim stammers nervously, a hand on top of your driver’s side door, stopping you from leaving.
“Are you sure? I thought we were trying to keep this, us, quiet.” You ask, stepping away from your car and closer to him. He cups the side of your face with his hand, leaning forward to press a soft, chaste kiss to your lips.
“Just once, okay?” He asks quietly, a sheepish smile on his face.
You let out a small laugh. “Just this one time, alright Agent McGee?” You say with a smile, letting him take your hand and lead you towards his car. He opens the passenger door for you, closing it behind you before getting in the driver’s side. The entire ride into work is marked with Tim either giving you a huge dopey grin or a quick nervous glance, which only serves to make you suspicious, as if the insisting to ride together didn’t already.
Tim pulls into his usual parking spot, shutting off the car before turning to you. “How about we walk in together?” He asks hesitantly, a shy smile accompanying his question.
You quirk an eyebrow up at his question before responding, “Tim, it might make it pretty obvious what’s going on between us if we do that.” “Let’s do it anyway, Y/N.” He reaches over to squeeze your hand before climbing out of the driver’s side of the car and making his way to your side of the car. He opens the passenger door for you, offering you a hand to help you out, which you graciously accept. He continues to hold your hand after you are out of the car and as the two of you walk into the building, only letting go as the two of you go through security.
The two of you are the only ones on the elevator and for the entirety of the short ride, you can almost feel Tim vibrating beside you with some sort of nervous energy. You bring his hand up to your lips, pressing a gentle kiss to it before murmuring, “You okay?” He gives you a tight nod in response just as the elevator dings, announcing its arrival on your floor of the building.
You press a chaste kiss to the corner of his mouth. “Have a good day Tim, I love you.” You say, moving towards the open doors of the elevator. Tim reaches a hand out, grasping yours and stopping your exit out of the elevator.
“I, uh, I’ve got to give you something. It’s in my desk drawer, in the...bullpen.” He stammers out, quickly retracting his hand to wipe it against his suit jacket.
“Oh, can I get it at lunch?” You ask, turning back towards the front of the elevator and pressing the button to reopen the doors.
“No.” He shouts, startling you enough that you take a step back away from the sliding doors. “I mean, come with me?”
“What is up with you today Tim?” You demand, his unexplained, unnatural behavior causing your suspicions to rise, a million questions running through your head.
“Just...please.” His voice is thick with emotion, his words coming out barely above a whisper.
You silently nod your head, stepping back into the elevator and allowing the doors to close as you press the button for the floor that the NCIS team resided on. You spare a look over at Tim, whose is rubbing his hands up and down his slacks, his face turned towards the ceiling of the elevator and his lips moving in silent words.
“Tim, what is going on? You’ve been acting weird all morning and I just-” The elevator dings, announcing your arrival on the floor of the bullpen and effectively cutting you off.
Tim puts a hand over the doors, stopping them from closing as he looks at you, his kaleidoscopic eyes pleading with you to understand and to trust him. You give a small nod, taking his outstretched hand in your own and following him to the bullpen.
Right away, you notice the lights over the area of the office you’d come to know as your father’s, as Gibbs’, were off. A flash of fear settles in your chest as you begin to picture all the possible scenarios as to why your father’s part of the office was empty and dark, none of them positive. You start to walk faster, almost pushing past Tim, to get to the bullpen. You suddenly stop short when your eyes fall on Tony’s desk.
Instead of finding your best friend seated at his desk or even finding his desk empty, you see that Tony’s desktop is covered with picture frames. Your curiosity wins out over the rising fear in your chest and you step closer to the desk to inspect the framed photos.
“Oh,” A breath of surprise leaves you as you realize that they were photos of you and of Tim, taken at different times in your relationship. A series of pictures of the two of you from your second date, taken in one of the photo kiosks that you find at the mall. The two of you making goofy faces at each other in the bullpen. You and Tim bent over a computer, faces serious as you both stare at the screen. You turn to Tim’s desk next, finding it filled with vases of flowers in your favorite color.
You move towards them, leaning down to inhale their fragrant scent, your gaze landing on your father’s desk and the photos scattered across the desktop, similar to Tony’s desk, except these were pictures you’d taken of the two of you. One of the pictures from your first trip together, from the date when Tim had told you he loved you, and the first case the two of you had worked on together and a series of selfies you’d taken with Tim at various times; all laid out like a timeline of your relationship.
After a few long moments, you lift your gaze towards Ziva’s desk, curiosity seizing you as you find her desk almost empty. You quickly make your way to the front of the desk, your eyes landing on the single piece of white paper, with only one small paragraph scrawled out in the middle of the page.
Y/N,
I love you and I have something I have wanted to tell you, or rather ask you, for a long time now. I know you’re probably wondering what that question is, so if you’d turn around, I’d like to ask you it.
You slowly turn around, the paper clutched to your chest and your heart racing in your chest as your eyes find Tim’s. He gives you a small, honest smile as he takes a step forward, his hands clasping around yours before he kneels down on one knee in front of you. Your breath catches in your throat as you realize what is happening.
“I’ve loved you for years. First, as a friend, and then as a boyfriend, and now...now I want to love you as your fiance, and eventually as your husband. Would you, Y/N Gibbs, do me the honor of being my wife?” In his hands is a modest red velvet ring box, a platinum band adorned with three small diamonds nestled on the inside of the open box.
A lump forms in your throat and as you try to speak, to say yes, nothing comes out. Instead, you nod your head vigorously and close the distance between the two of you. Tim stands fully just as you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him in against you. You vaguely register noise in the background, noise you later learn is from the various members of ‘your’ NCIS team, as you feel him kiss your cheek.
“I love you.” You whisper softly before pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, savoring in the feeling of his lips against yours.
“And I love you.” He gives you a deep kiss in return, leaning in to cup a hand along the back of your neck. After a moment, you pull back enough to smile widely at him, the realization that this man would become your husband, the man that you got to spend the rest of your life with, starts to dawn on you, filling you with elation and excitement, not only for your wedding but for the future you’d had with the man you loved.

Your Parker stories are sooooo good & I haven’t been able to find anyone who writes him like you do ☺️ I’m not sure if you take requests that aren’t based off the prompts but I’d love an age gap/ smutty fic of Parker immediately liking a new member to the team & loves touching her, standing really close & hand on her lower back kinda stuff. Torres keeps flirting with her so Parker shows her how an older man can take care of her 😏
Thank you so much for what you said! It means so much to me, you have no idea! 🥹❤️ I loved writing your request and I truly hope this is what you were waiting for! Let me know ❤️
Pairing: rich!Alden Parker x Reader
Warnings: age difference, smut, oral (male and female receiving), PIV, maybe a hint of sugar daddy? (Sort of, kinda…you’ll see)
Sea, sex and yatch
“Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!” The entire team turned around to look at Nick, as they were walking all together back to the squad room. The federal agent looked at Tim McGee before pointing at the stairs, where you going up, towards Director Vance’s office.
“Oh, this should be good!” Tim chuckled.
“What’s going on? Who’s this?” Jessica asked, as they all got to their desks. Alden stayed silent but waited for the answer too.
“This woman going to Vance’s office worked with us for about a month a few years back,” Tim told, turning on his computer. “She was a probie and this guy,” he said, pointing at Nick, “kept flirting with her.”
“Uh-huh,” Jess chuckled. “Did she flirt back?”
“Jess, come on.” Nick shrugged his shoulders, like the answer was obvious.
“She did but she clearly wasn’t interested in anything more,” Tim corrected.
“How do you know we didn’t—?” Nick asked, a bit offended.
“Did you?” Tim raised his eyebrow and Nick stayed silent. Everyone chuckled.
“So I guess you don’t know why she’s here?” Alden asked, fully aware of why you were there.
A couple of days earlier, Vance asked Parker to come meet him in his office and told him he was assigning someone to the team. Vance told him about you, your path, and why you were joining their team. Alden was still adjusting to the agency and his new position, but he was glad that Vance valued him enough to give him a heads up.
Alden just didn’t when you were starting with them, until you came back downstairs alongside Vance and that he made the official introductions. “Some of you already worked with Agent L/N, and I have no doubt that this will go as good as it did the first time.”
You totally remembered Tim and Nick, and obviously, you’ve heard of everything that had happened to the team lately. When you requested your transfer back to the DC office, you wanted to work for Gibbs’s team, like you did years ago. However, it wasn’t Gibbs’s team anymore. “I’d request you make some change here. Put the desk back like when Agent Quinn was here,” Vance said, gave a nod to everyone and left. Tim grinned at Nick. It meant that you’d be facing Nick Torres every single day.
“Let’s do this now.” Alden stood up. “What desk and where is it supposed to go?”
Nick was ready to show off his strength and muscles. He started to move his desk at the right angle to welcome yours and while he did, he winked at you. “You haven’t changed.” You chuckled.
“Neither have you.” He smiled.
Tim indicated which desk should be yours now, and him and Alden moved it to its new spot. You offered to help but your new leader refused with a soft smile. So you stayed next to Jessica, watching the men at work. “This is a nice thing to see.” She said. “Welcome to the team!”
“Thank you! Glad to be back home.”
“Where were you before?”
“Agent afloat. So, pretty much everywhere.”
“I was always worried to be assign Agent afloat before joining the react team.” She confessed.
“Oh, you were on the react team? What made you join this crazy team then?”
Jessica went still and you immediately regretted asking. You were about to apologize for putting your foot in your mouth, but the guys were done and Nick pulled out the chair, inviting you to sit.
“What’s Agent afloat, exactly?” Alden asked, as everyone sat back to their desks. “Sorry, I’m still in learning process.” He smiled.
“It’s what you’re doing but on our ships. Constantly at sea.” You explained, knowing the shortest explanation was the most explicit.
“Imagine having Internal Affairs on your ass, 24/7.” Nick added, “Internal Affairs being Y/N here, and you being the hundreds of Marines on those ships.”
Alden was impressed, this job must be exhausting and tough. “How did you survive?” He joked.
“I’m cute.”
Yes, you are. Alden thought.
Tumblr media
You never minded the flirting with Nick, it always been nice and innocent. But it was never more than this, you never wanted to take this further. Nick wasn’t the kind of man you were interested in, wasn’t someone you could see yourself with. He was too…young and close to his looks.
But when he started flirting again, you gladly responded. To be honest, you didn’t have anyone, and having been a agent afloat for years, this was the closest you’ve come to…something.
You missed it.
You missed having someone, the physical contact, the tenderness and the sex, of course.
But, if you were totally honest, Nick wasn’t the one that had you running. No, it was the silver fox that happened to be your boss. And you felt bad about it, because it was very inappropriate.
Right?
“Seriously, Parker, if you keep bringing those pastries, I’m gonna have to redo my wardrobe!” You smiled, biting into the pastries of the day.
Alden was about to say something, but Nick beat him to it, “Whatever you wear, you look great.”
“You’re saying this because you’ve never seen me in my PJs.” You felt some of the pastries’s cream on the corner of your mouth, caught it with your finger, and licked it. Somehow, while doing this, you had turned to look at Alden who was clearly staring. When he realized you caught him, he refocused on his paperwork.
“Yeah well, whose fault is that?” Nick teased you and you chuckled.
You were a messy eater. Always been and always will be. So, obviously, more cream got out but this time it fell on your shirt. You cursed and a second later, Alden was standing next to you, handing you a paper towel. He wanted to take it off himself, but there was too many people around. “Take off most of it and then you should put use some soap and cold water.” He told you.
“That’s just peachy, I took my gym bag home last night to clean my stuff.” Meaning: you didn’t have any clothes with you.
You started to wipe with the paper towel but it was making a bigger mess. You cursed again, decided to listen to Alden and went to the bathroom. Soap and cold water worked just a little and you couldn’t spend the day with a stain on your shirt. When you got out of the bathroom, Alden was leaning against the wall, holding something in his hand.
“I figured it wouldn’t totally work.” He smiled and gave you what looked like a sweater. “From my go-bag, it’s clean.”
“You sure?” You asked. For all you knew, you could have messed up the sweater too before the day ended.
“Well, do you want to spend the entire day with this?” He asked, and you felt the tip on his finger brushing where the stain was. Barely above your breasts.
“You—“ you cleared your throat, feeling like the air was getting thick. “You’re right.” You managed to say.
Alden’s body was extremely close to yours, you felt towered by him even though he wasn’t much taller than you. You felt intoxicated by his scent, and you were disappointed that his sweater was clean. You’d loved to have his scent on you all day long.
You gently grabbed the sweater from his hand, and your fingers lingering on his. Neither of you pulled away for a moment. “Thank you—Alden.” You smiled.
It was the first you called him by his first name and it was all he ever wanted for the rest of his life. Alden watched you going back to the bathroom, and leaned against the wall again. He considered what all of this meant, and if he should force himself to keep his distance with you. No matter what just happened, if you weren’t interest in Nick Torres, why would you be interested in him?
It quickly went down the drain when he saw you emerging again, with his sweater on you. His mind was total blank. One of his clothes was on your skin. He’d never washed this sweater again.
“I’ll wash it and get it back to you in a day or two.” You let him know as you were walking back to the squad room, side by side.
“No rush.” He smiled. “Looks better on you than it does on me anyway.”
You blushed. Purposefully. Alden noticed. And you knew he noticed.
The sweater may have been clean but it still smelled…very Alden. It was like he was on you the entire day, and you found yourselves inhaling into the fabric a few times. And you kept it longer than two days. Not that Alden asked for it anyway.
But after the hallway moment, you started to pay extra attention to him and everything that happened between you, even the smallest. Like the way he would put his hand on your shoulder whenever you showed something on your computer. Once, he even put his arms around you to type on your keyboard; his face was basically pressed against yours. You could hear him breathing while you forgot what was oxygen.
“Hey, Y/N. You’ve been with us for weeks now, but we have yet to celebrate! Dinner tonight?”
You looked up from your computer screen to Nick, and stared for a moment. You weren’t sure what his invitation was.
“I’m not asking you on a date,” he probably saw the confusion on your face. “Yet.” He added with a smirk and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“If it’s not a date, can the invite be extended to us?” Alden asked.
“Are you inviting yourself to our dinner, Parker?”
“I could eat,” he smiled.
“Me too.” Jessica added.
“I’d love to, but some people here have a family.” Tim said.
“Fine, fine,” Nick sighed. “But I clearly not paying for everyone. I just invited Y/N in the first place.”
“So not a gentleman,” Alden teased him.
“Does that mean that you’re paying for me, Parker?” Jessica grinned at him and Alden chuckled.
“You know what?” Alden raised his hands in surrender, “Tonight’s on me. Doesn’t matter how many of us it’ll be.”
Jessica happily stood up for her desk and rushed to the elevator, saying that she was going to invite Kasie and Jimmy. “You sure you can’t come with Delilah, Tim?” You asked.
“Already texted her. The issue will be to find a babysitter.”
“Well if you find one, is Parker going to pay for that too?” You looked at Nick and saw some irritation on his face. Then you looked at Alden who was just smiling, like he always was.
“Babysitter’s on me too.” He said and you all laughed. “Yeah I heard it. But you know what I meant!”
Luckily, there was no burning case and Alden allowed everyone to ditch paperwork for the night. You, Jess and Kasie agreed to meet before eight so you’d get ready together. You realised that you’ve been alone for such a long time. It felt amazing to have friends, a family, and maybe…more.
“So, you and Nick— you never crossed the line?” Jessica asked as she was doing your makeup.
“No and we won’t. The flirting is cute but that’s pretty much it. I’m not interested. Plus, I’ve heard about him and Ellie.”
“Yeah, he hasn’t recovered yet.” Kasie said. “If you’re not interested in Nick, are you in—someone else?”
Yes, yes, yes. Alden. Alden. Alden.
But you couldn’t tell them. You still felt like it was inappropriate and that he probably wasn’t interested in you. Yeah there were so moments where you thought that he might, but it felt impossible. Alden was surely into women his age, with experience, that know what they want. You were quite younger than him and you never had a serious relationship, as you’ve at sea for years and before that, you just wanted to have fun. You were convinced that it wasn’t what Alden wanted for a partner.
“No. I mean I just got back to the city, I haven’t really had time to meet anyone. What about you two?” Always asking questions.
“Well, Miss Hines here is having struggles to ask Piper out. She’s not following my advices!”
“Okay, first, Piper is the girl from cyber unit, with the red hair?”
“Yes,” Kasie lovingly answered.
“I thought you guys were already dating! You’re not?”
“Nope.”
“Well, is she busy tonight?”
“No that I know of.”
You and Jessica looked at each other, before looking at Kasie. You stayed silent until she understood where you were going. “You sure? I mean—Parker is the one paying!” You immediately grabbed your phone to send him a text.
YOU: Is it okay if we add another chair?
“Which, by the way, is he loaded or what?”
“Nah, he’s just trying to impress Y/N.” You shot your eyes back from your phone to Jessica. “Girl, like you haven’t noticed.” You shook your head no. “You know what? Tonight, I’ll count how many time he ‘accidentally’ touches you.”
You didn’t answer as you got a reply from Alden.
ALDEN: For whom?
YOU: Hopefully, Kasie’s girlfriend by the end of the night.
ALDEN: She’s more than welcome!
YOU: You’re seriously going to pay for dinner for nine people?
ALDEN: And the babysitting!
YOU: You won the lottery?
ALDEN: Sort of 😉
“You’re the lottery. In case it wasn’t clear for you,” Jessica let you know and Kasie approved.
You and the girls already had a few drinks by the time you arrived to the restaurant. You were cheerful and a bit tipsy, but food would help with that. Alden, Nick and Jimmy were already there, at a round table. The married couple was the only one missing - with twins at home, it wasn’t surprising. You found yourself between Alden and Nick - of course.
You hadn’t ordered your drinks yet and Alden’s hand was already on your knee. You didn’t know if he was aware of how touchy he was with you. If he was, he acted really great at hiding it. But it appeared like he was doing it almost mechanically.
Tim and Delilah arrived twenty minutes late and the evening was on.
Alden was glued to you. Whether it was his arms behind you, his hand on your knee and the way he cleaned your lips or chin when you had food on them. At some point, you started to return his gestures.
When you put your hand on his thigh, Alden looked at you, smiled and his eyes went from your eyes to your lips.
There were moments where you completely forgot the whole team was around you. Until Nick flirted with you again, and again. As he did, you could feel Alden tensing up on your right. Nick seemed obviously when Alden’s hand was brushing your shoulder before staying on the back of your neck where he played with your hair. His tenderness was making you all giddy and eventually turned on. So much, that you excused yourself to the bathroom.
When you got out, after staying a moment inside to regain control of your throbbing center, your boss was leaning against the wall, like he did days ago when he gave you his sweater. “That’s you thing?” You smiled.
He didn’t say anything, just extended his hand. You took it and he squeezed before pulling towards him. Still leaning against the wall, Alden had your body pressed against his, his hands on your hips. “You’re not interested in Nick, are you?”
“No,” you admitted.
“Good, because no offense to him, but he wouldn’t know how to treat you right.” His fingers softly moved and squeezed your flesh.
“Would you?” You teased, restraining yourself from moaning and kissing him, here and there.
His hands then moved to your back and he pressed your body even tighter, blocking you. He leaned his face a little, brushing his lips past yours. “Better than anyone had treated you until now.” He whispered. “Let me show you those boys in their thirties aren’t worth it.” He needed your approval, your consent. He needed to hear that you wanted him, just as much as he wanted you.
You felt his beard scratching your skin as he lowered his head a little more until his lips was in your neck. You held onto his shoulders and moaned lightly in his ear. “Dinner tomorrow, but just you and me this time, Silver.” Your breathing was sharp, and you finally did something you’ve dreaming of doing for weeks; you ran your hand through his hair.
Alden threw his head back, following the movement, eyes closed. “All the dates you had before will be considered like trash compared to what our date will be.” He stated, pretty sure of himself.
“I can’t wait for you to rock my world.” You said and then reluctantly pulled away from him.
He didn’t follow right away, not wanting to have the team asking questions. But you heard him say, “Silver?” You chuckled, looked at him over your shoulder and added extra sway to your hips, aware that he was staring.
Neither you and Alden slowed down the touches for the rest of dinner. When you left the restaurant, he had his hand in his small of your back until you reached the cars. Whether the team noticed something, no one said anything.
After you got out of the shower that night, you looked at your phone and saw a text.
ALDEN: I’ll pick you up at 4, we’ll have to drive a bit.
YOU: Where are we going? What should I wear?
ALDEN: Couple of weeks ago, you wore a burgundy dress to going out with the girls. Wear that one.
ALDEN: Please?
YOU: I take it you liked that dress?
ALDEN: Fell asleep thinking about it and dreamed of it.
YOU: Another request, Silver?
ALDEN: So many. But one thing at the time, doll. You?
YOU: So many. But one thing at the time.
ALDEN: haha. Good night then, sweet dreams! 😘
YOU: Good night, A. ❤️

Saying that Alden was nervous was an understatement. Obviously, it wasn’t his first time taking a woman on a date, but you were different. Very different.
Maybe it was the age difference, or maybe that you worked together, or that he was afraid guys like Nick Torres were more for you than he’d ever be.
He wanted to give you the best first date you ever had, even though he didn’t know your past history with men or what kind of dates you already had. But he was convinced that no one did what he had prepared.
Alden picked you up at 4, like he said. You had the burgundy dress on, and it took all of his self control not to take you inside immediately. He didn’t even kiss you on the lips. As a true gentleman, he softly kissed your cheek, offered you the flowers he bought on his way and told you how stunning you were as you put them in water.
Downstairs, Alden helped you getting inside the dark SUV. “Didn’t know you drove a SUV,” you said as you buckled your seat bell.
“It’s a rental.” He told you.
“So, can I know where we’re going now?” You asked after Alden started to drive.
“Nope, it’s a surprise.” He gently put his hand on your neck and you covered it with your own, intertwining your fingers together.
It took about an hour to get to the destination. You were away from DC, away from the noises and pollution and you already loved it. But before you arrived, Alden had asked you to cover your eyes. You tried to get out of it for a moment but eventually caved in.
He helped you out of the SUV and held your hand to guide you. It took you a moment for your eyes to adjust when he took the cover off and when you realised where you were, you looked at Alden, confused. “It’s—closed?”
“Not for us.” He smiled and took your hand.
“Please, tell me you didn’t get the aquarium privatised for us?” You asked when someone opened the side door to let you in. Alden shook the man’s hand, he told you to enjoy and disappeared.
“I didn’t get the aquarium privatised for us.” He repeated with a grin. “You’re a sea person, so I figured—“
“Alden,” you whispered and brought your hand to cover your Mouth. This was unbelievable. It was something that only happens in books, right?
With the sweetest smile on his face, Alden extended his hand to you and asked: “Will you be my guide?”
You spent two hours in the very empty aquarium. There was no one except for some employee - who didn’t bother you at all - and the sea creatures. The fact that he took you to the aquarium was already big, but getting it privatised was beyond everything. Despite spending two hours in there, telling him everything you knew, being his personal guide, it felt surreal. Like it wasn’t really happening. Even if you felt his hand in yours the entire time, his body pressing against yours here and there, his lips against your temple from time to time.
Alden Parker was a dream.
“I have to ask, Alden. How did you manage— this?”
“It’s my hidden talent.” He smirked.
God you wanted to kiss that smirk.
After this incredible moment, you wanted back to the SUV, hand in hand. You both dying to kiss the other but Alden wanted to be a gentleman til the end while you wanted him to make the move.
He helped you inside again, softly kissed your forehead and got behind the wheel. As soon as he had the car running, he instantly put his hand on your thigh, like it was meant to be there, always. And you covered it with yours again. “That was absolutely amazing, Alden. I can’t believe it happened.” You said.
“It’s not over, you know?” He brought both hands to his lips and kissed your knuckles before putting them back down.
“Where to, then?”
He grinned but didn’t answer.
This time you didn’t have to cover your eyes, because you understood only when you were in front of it.
“You’re kidding?” You exclaimed, looked at the thing in front of you.
“No. Ready?”
“But Alden, you get sea sick.”
“It’s not exactly sea sick. I’m good going on this. Are you?”
“Y—yes. Of course. But that’s not yours, is it?”
“No. I negotiated with a friend.”
“So you have friends who owns a yatch?”
He nodded with a smile and you finally started to walk towards the yatch. The crew welcomed you and Alden, and it felt so fancy for you. It wasn’t the kind of things you were used to. You were a sea person - which was mostly why you were working for the Navy - but the boats you were used to were ships and sailboats from when you were younger. You had never been on a yatch before.
“Before I gave the captain the go, I need to know if—you want to spend the night at sea or just for dinner?”
“Are you saying the yatch is ours until tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow night exactly. Your choice, even if you change your mind along the way. It’s just that we may go further away if you want to spend the night.”
“The night, if you promise me you’re good with it? I don’t want you to make yourself do things that—“
Alden couldn’t resist anymore. The concern you were showing for him, even though they were sparkles in your eyes since you saw the yatch, made him lose it and he kissed you. He grabbed your face his hands and crashed his lips on yours. You eagerly responded to his kiss and almost made out on the spot.
The Captain cleared his throat to make his presence known. “Excuse me, Mr Parker, but are we good to go? Which itinerary?”
He smiled at you and answered, “All night.”

Drinks on the deck, dinner inside but with an amazing view over the sea, a bedroom that was the size of your apartment and a bed that could welcome the entire team.
But most importantly, you were with the most charming and loving man you’ve ever met. It would be so easy to fall in love with Alden Parker, you were scared it had already started.
“So tell me,” he said, taking a sip of his champagne. “What was your worst date ever?”
You laughed as you remembered it. “Okay, I was twenty one and he was my professor,” you saw the look of his face, “I know it shouldn’t happened and I wished it didn’t.” You took a sip of your drink. “I had a secret crush on him for a while, and then I noticed that he started with me. Blah-blah-blah, he asked me out. Outside the city, of course. It started nicely, we went to a restaurant, he was a gentleman and I was charmed.” You took a deep breath before continuing, “but his phone kept buzzing. Work, he said. He got outside a few times to answer. And it was annoying. Before dessert, I followed him and that’s when I understood it wasn’t work, but his kids. And his wife.”
“Ouch.”
“The kids didn’t want to go to sleep, so his wife called you so he could helped and stuff.”
“You didn’t know?”
“No!” You exclaimed. “He never wore his wedding ring, he didn’t have any pictures in his office. There was no hints, anything, but that’s not the worst.”
“Lay on me.”
“We didn’t eat dessert, obviously. I asked him to take me home and—the car broke down forty minutes away from home.” Alden pulled a face. “Triple A couldn’t be there for two hours, his wife kept calling. His phone died, so he—had to use mine.” You rubbed your temple, “Long story short, his wife picked us up.”
And Alden laughed. A lot and you did too because the end of that story was priceless. “Tell me she ditched that asshole,” he said, calming down.
“Don’t know, don’t care. I learned later that I wasn’t the first.”
“Wow, what a dick.”
You nodded and grabbed a piece of the fruits that were still on the table. You ate it, grabbed another one to feed Alden. “What was yours?”
“It’s pretty short, actually.” He took a piece of some other fruits, bite half of it and fed you the rest. “So you now know that my family isn’t a standard family, and they have—expectations.” You had your legs thrown over Alden’s lap and grabbed it and your waist to bring you closer to him.
“About who you date?”
“Dated. I’m too old for them to take anymore.”
“Hum, keep going.”
“In my twenties, my mother forced me to go on a date with the daughter of one of her friends.”
“Rich friend?”
“Yes,” he grunted. “She was so annoying about it that I agreed, just to get it over with. I got to date, not overthinking it, not caring about it much. When I arrived to the date, the woman was very beautiful, and it started pretty nicely, like yours.”
“And then?”
“Not even thirty minutes into dinner, she admitted that she thought I would be my brother.”
“Aww, she was set of the wrong brother, it’s not that bad.”
“No, but the sentence ‘No offense but you seem like the kind of nerds that’d still be living in their parents basement when he turns forty.’ wasn’t great to hear.”
“Well, she said ‘no offense’,” you smiled and softly kissed his jawline. “What happened then?”
“I left, without paying the check. Later, she met the right brother.”
“How did it go?”
“They have been married for thirty years, have two kids and three grandkids, so good I guess.” He finished his drink while you shifted to face him.
“That girl is your sister-in-law.”
“Yup.” He accentuated the ‘p’. “She apologized a few times over the years, even though—“
You saw something different on Alden’s face. Something that looked like sadness and you hated it. You needed this look to go away immediately. “Even though?”
“I may not be living in my parents’ basement but I’m in my fifties, divorced and no kids. It’s not that great.”
“That’s not what I see.” You took the glass from his hand and straddled his lap. His hands rested on your hips while you grabbed his jaw to make him look at you. “I see an amazing federal agent,” you kissed him, “a great leader,” another kiss. “A loyal friend,” again. “A smart man,” again. “And the hottest man ever,” again but this time he chuckled.
“Don’t push it,” he let his fingers run up and down your thigh, “Although, I have you right here with me, I must have—a thing.”
“Many things that would make me chose you over a hundred of Nicks.”
Alden closed his eyes and growled. You could feel a bulge between your legs. “I’m trying to be a true gentleman, doll, but it’s getting hard to—“
“It is getting hard,” you teased, palming him through his jeans.
He chuckled and completely gave up on his self control.
He closed the gap between his lips and yours and you kissed like you’ve wanted to kiss each other for weeks. It was finally happening.
Still kissing you, Alden’s hands traveled under your dress while yours worked on his shirt’s buttons. Then he palmed your tits with his paws before taking them out of the dress - you never wore bras with this dress and it was one of the things Alden loved about it. You arched your back and he took the opportunity to find your sensitive spot in your neck like he did the night before at the restaurant. You moaned and he smiled.
He then lowered his head to focus on your beautiful tits. “So pretty,” he growled, and took one in his mouth. Licking, sucking, nipping one and then the other, while you were scratching his scalp and shoulder with your nails.
Alden wasn’t sure how much of foreplay he could handle, so he took your dress off, sending it flying across the boat and it was shortly followed by his shirt. You stayed there from a moment, just holding one another, feeling each other’s skin.
Then Alden carried to the bedroom, where he gently dropped you on the bed, covering you with his body. The kissing started again, becoming more intense by the second. “Jeans,” you whined, and Alden stood up, getting rid of his jeans extremely fast. He kissed you briefly before settling himself between your legs after taking your panties off.
He inhaled deeply before having his first lick. Your body immediately reacted to his tongue and Alden smirked to himself. Then he ate you like a starving man, while pumping in and out of you with two fingers. He smiled at every noises you made, every curse and his cock twitched every time his name fell off your lips. His arm held you onto the mattress as your body started to shake. Your orgasm hit you like a powerful wave, you couldn’t hold back your cries.
“Best dessert ever,” he smirked as he watched you catching your breath. Then he placed a trail of kisses from your pelvic to your forehead.
“God, just let me know every time you’re hungry.” You said, still out of breath. “That mouth, that tongue and those fingers—fucking combo.”
“Parker special,” he chuckled and kissed your shoulder. “Do you want some water?”
“I want my dessert too.”
You softly pushed him to make him roll onto his back. You kissed and nipped his neck, ear and jawline while your hand went down to his hard cock. He moaned from the back of his throat when there was no more fabric between your hand and his length.
You got off the bed, settling yourself between his legs. You licked his head, tasting how salty his precum was. You hummed in appreciation and Alden plopped himself on his elbows to have a better view as you suck his dick. “Doll, damnnit!” His eyes rolled in the back of his head, and then he took the hair off your face. He wanted to see you, and your eyes, as his cock hit the back of your throat multiple times. “Jesus, you need to stop.” He grunted and you did.
“Is it not—“ Alden saw the concern on your face.
“Oh god baby, no! I was about to come!” He grabbed your chin and kissed you.
“So?”
“I need to be inside you, like right now.”
Who were you to deny the man? Plus, you needed him to be inside you more than anything.
“Condom?” You asked and Alden nodded.
He reached for his overnight bag and something hit you. “Hey! Why didn’t you tell me to pack an overnight bag?”
“Well, I didn’t want to scare you or pressure you,” Condom in hand, he got on top of you and kissed your nose and your lips. “Plus, you have a overnight bag.”
You followed to where his eyes were looking and saw a bag you’ve never seen before on an arm chair. “You’ll have to explain that to me after.”
Still painfully hard, Alden struggled to put the condom on, as you kept kissing his chest and squeezing his ass. “Y/N,” he chuckled. “You’re not helping.”
You held your hands in surrender and dramatically threw yourself back onto the bed. Alden managed to put the condom on and lined himself with your entrance. “You’re sure, doll?” He asked.
“More than anything.”
He covered your body with his again, his elbows on his side on your head. “Once I’m inside you,” he brushed your lips with his. “We’ll both be ruined for others.”
“This ship had sailed.”
It was all he needed. Alden pushed his cock inside your pussy and indeed, he was ruined for other women. You held onto him like a koala bear as he thrusted deep and hard inside of you. Neither of you spoke. All that could be heard was his skin slapping against yours, and the uncontrollable noises you were both making.
With his cock still inside you, Alden rolled his back, taking you with him. You rode him for a moment, this position bringing you close to orgasm, especially when he rubbed your clit with his fingers.
As you were both close to explode, Alden brought you against him, holding your body as tight as he could. He bent his knees and furiously thrusted. His hold didn’t loosen as he filled the condom and your body shook uncontrollably.
You stayed on top on him for a moment. Your face in his neck, his hands softly stroking your back, his softened cock still inside you, it felt like the time went still.
“How was it for a first date?” He asked after a long moment. He reached for his cock, took the condom off, and put it on the bed.
“So—wow, I don’t even have words,” you kissed him, “but I need you to understand something.”
Alden felt like the other shoe was about to drop. “Screw your money, Alden.” you said, looking deep inside his eyes. “I don’t need big and expensive things like this—“
“I know. I just wanna spoil you, is that bad?”
“No, of course not.” You smiled. “But I’m not that kind of person, that’s all.”
“You don’t have to tell me that.” He put a strand of hair behind your ear. “I have been around that kind of people too often to recognize them from miles away.”
You nodded to that and got off the bed. “So, the bag?”
Alden looked at you from the bed and smiled. Then he told you how he spent the morning shopping for you. “I hope I didn’t forget any essentials,”
“It looks—good.” You said, looking at everything inside the bag. “Clothes? How do you know my size?”
“I described you to the saleswoman? I think that for a moment, she was afraid I wanted to kidnapped you.”
“You’re crazy,”
But it was the most amazing thing anyone had ever done for you.
Yes Alden, you ruined other men for me.

Meeting the team(s)
Tumblr media
A/N: This is for @multi-fandom-imagine you write for all of us, so I thought I would write something for you... This is my take on a question I asked you months ago, with one more fandom put into it
Pairing: Dinozzo x Reader
Shows: NCIS, Stargate (and mentions of Stargate Atlantis if you find it)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was normal day at NCIS. Team Gibbs didn't have any active cases and they all hoped not to get one as it was Friday afternoon and they wanted to have free weekend.
So they were on cold cases. Or at least they were suppose to be. Dinozzo of course had different idea and he was throwing paper balls at McGee everytime Gibbs didn't look their way (but he's Gibbs so he of course knew). Ellie just shook her head from time to time at the childishness of Tony.
"Tony!" snapped McGee. "Will you stop it?!"
"Or what, McCranky?" Tony smirked at him. He just loved picking on Tim. Before Tim answer, Gibbs spoke: "Dinozzo!"
"Sorry, Boss." And with that Tony returned to his work.
"It's good to see you still listen, Tony," said female voice. Dinozzo's head shot up, surprised look on his face, not moving a muscle.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" you said. Tony opens his mouth but nothing comes out.
"Who are you?" asked Gibbs standing up. You turn to him and smile. "Major Y/N L/N, USAF." "You're an air force?" asked Ellie. She looked at you from head to toe, trying to decipher you. "How do YOU know an air force major, Tony?" asked McGee all surprised.
Tony finally found his voice. "The last I saw her she was only a captain. What? How? Why are you here?"
"I thought you would be surprised?" You asked uncertain not knowing if you did the right thing and it probably showed on your face, because Tony smiled sadly, stood up and went around his desk. He grabbed you behind your neck and very passionate and very long kiss followed. Everyone in bullpen was watching both of you, not knowing what is going on.
"God, I thought I'll never see you again," said Tony and laid his forehead against yours. You smile sadly at him. "So did I, Tones, so did I." With that you hug him, hiding your face into his neck. The team gave you a moment, even if they were dying to know what's going on.
After few minutes Ellie asked question everyone wanted to know. "So who are you exactly?" You step away from each other but Tony takes you around your shoulders. "She's my girlfriend, Probiet."
"Girlfriend?" Everyone looked at Tony. “But I thought that Zoey was your girlfriend?” asked McGee. “We broke up few weeks ago actually,” said Tony looking with guilt at (Y/N). You smiled at him sadly.
“So you kept our promise. I am glad.” Tony looked surprised. “You’re glad?”
“What is going on here?” said Abby who came bouncing around the corner. “Well it looks like this is Tony’s girlfriend  Y/N L/N with complicating relationship,” said Bishop still trying to figure out what the hell is going on. “New girlfriend? Tony! Why haven’t you told me!” Abby hit Tony’s arm.
“I didn’t tell you, because I didn’t know she was alive, Abby,” said Tony with a sigh. You hug him so he can stop thinking about it. “What do you mean by that?” Abby was looking from one to another. Gibbs looked at you suspiciously.
“You see, Abby, when we were going out with each other, the first few weeks were not serious or anything. But it started to get serious, I told him that I have dangerous work. So dangerous I made him promise me that if my status would become MIA or KIA, he will wait one month to see if I turn up and then move on.”
“That’s sad,” said Abby with sad puppy eyes. “And just plain wrong!” You sigh. “I know that Abby. And I even wanted to break up with him, but he wouldn’t let me. Even when I went on a mission from which I wouldn’t return to at all. He just wouldn’t let me go.” You to him with all the love you have for him and he stares at you the same. God how you loved this amazing and passionate man.
“What exactly do you do, Major?” asked Gibbs all suspicious. You couldn’t blame him really, you knew how protective he is of his team, especially Tony and Abby. “It’s no use, boss. She won’t tell you. She wouldn’t even tell me.” Gibbs glared at Tony. “Tones is right, agent Gibbs. I can’t tell you. It’s classified.”
“Classified?” asked McGee in disbelieve. Probably more in disbelieve of Tony finding someone with classified job outside law enforcement than anything else. “Yep, classified,” you look little smug. Everyone stayed silent, not knowing what to say.
Tony turns to you. “Why did you come? Except of course to see my awesomeness.” You laugh. “Still modest, hm? Anyway, first I wanted to see you and I have some weeks off before I will return to work. And second, my.... well you can call them my second family... wants to meet you.” Tony turns nervous.
“Your family? You really think it’s that time?” You look at him and see him little pale. “Hey, don’t worry. It’s not my parents. No, my former team wants to meet you.” Tony visibly relax. “Your former team?” Ellie asked. “Yes, before I was send to another base, I worked in a team. They have some new members since I left, but I know them little too.” You turn back to Tony. “So? What do you think? Do you want to meet them?”
“Do I even have a choice?” You smirk. “No, you don’t. But before you meet them, I should warn you. They will try to scare you and they will probably succeed.” “Oh please. I have worked with Gibbs over ten years. Not many things can scare me.” You roll your eyes and look at the boss.
“No offence to agent Gibbs.” You look back at Tony. “What you feel and see and what not with Gibbs is nothing compared to this one guy who is super overprotective of me. And you’re not even meeting my current team. If those two groups allied on you, you would not survive. Even marines fear them. You have your warning.” Tony paled again unsure if what you said is really true or you’re just joking.
“Go Dinozzo,” said Gibbs. Tony looked at him pleading with his eyes. “But Boss. Don’t you need me for anything? Anything at all.” Gibbs just smirked and returns to his desk. Everyone else laughed. “Go on Tony, I get a feeling that if you don’t go, they will come to you,” said Abby and with that she turned and went back to her lab. “I don’t think they will kill you or anything,” said Ellie with laughter. “Good luck,” smirked McGee. Tony looked at all of them with jaw down. “Betrayal. I will remember this everyone. I will remember this.”
“Come on, drama queen. We have to go.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So where are we going?” asked Tony. You just left his apartment where he changed to more comfortable clothes and left his car as you where taking your SUV. (Not really yours, just borrowed.) You were driving, Tony didn’t know where you were going.
“We’re going to Minnesota.” “Minnesota? Why there?”
“Well, my superior, who will be there, has a cabin there and we will have bbq.” You sit and drive in comfortable silence, only music playing from the radio. About ten minutes later, Tony asked another question.
“So what can I expect? You know, how many people, who should I be wary off, so I don’t get killed.” You laugh. “You don’t have to worry about getting killed. The only think they will do is talk to you and scare you and intimidate you.” Tony looked at you unconvinced.
“Anyway, there will be six people. Three military and three civilian. Even if one of the civilians is stronger than the rest. You will know what I mean when you meet them. Anything else you will have to figure out. Or I will tell in the cabin.” Tony was silent for a few seconds. “You’re evil, you know that?” All you do is laugh.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You arrive late afternoon to a beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere, about 15 minutes from nearest town. You park at the driveway, only one other car parking there.
“Well, come one, Tones, time to meet your doom,” you said smirking while getting out of the car. “Please don’t joke about this, Y/N.” You both walk to the front door. “Should we knock?” asked Tony.
“Nah. Jack never locks his door.” That’s like Boss, thinks Dinozzo. You both walk in, Tony looking around. “We’re here!” you shout so anyone in the house would hear you. You both hear faint reply: ”In the back!”
You both walk through the living room to the backyard (with a pond with no fish, I repeat no fish!). In front of grill with beer in hand is grey-haired man, clearly military, yet not. Next to him in a chair sat a blonde woman with longer hair, yet she also had the air of military.
“Hey Jack, Sam,” you said to them. Sam stood up to hug you. “Hey yourself, you’re here early.” You also hug the man, Jack. “Are those beered steaks?” “You know any other?” said Jack smirking. You smirk back and turn to Sam. “Yeah, the travel was without any accidents, so.”
Both of them looked at Tony, watching him like a hawk. He put on a smiling charming mask hiding his nerves.
"Guys, this is my boyfriend, SSA Anthony Dinozzo, you can call him Tony. Tones, this is Colonel Doctor Samantha Carter and Major General Jack O'Neill. Two L's." You smirk at Jack who smirked back.
"Wait, THE Jack O'Neill?" asked Dinozzo surprised. "It looks like my reputation is known even to law enforcement. Don't believe anything they said, I am really a nice guy." He expected hand to Tony who took it little in awe. Jack suddenly pulled Dinozzo to him and whispered into his ear, Tony paling at whatever was said.
You looked at Jack with suspicion, Sam doing the same. "You just told him if he ever hurt me, you have soldiers and marines at your disposal and you will use them, didn't you?" you said.
"I have no idea what you're talkin' about," said Jack innocently. "Sir?"
"Come on, Carter, you know you wanted to threaten him too!" Sam looked at him disapprovingly. Then she smiled turning to Tony. "Don't mind him, it's pleasure to meet you."
"You too... mmm..." " Just call me Sam or Carter."
"How can you be Colonel and Doctor at the same time?" Sam has the face of someone, who explains this a lot (and she probably does).
"I have a PhD in astrophysics." "A military scientist? You don't see that very much." He smiled wildly again. Sam smiled back. "No you don't."
"So where are the others? I would have thought they will be here before us."
"Oh you know Daniel. He needed to finish some stuff so they all decided to come later," said Sam. "I really hope they will be able to force him away from that or they will never get here," you rolled your eyes knowing how Daniel was.
"So this Daniel is really into whatever work he's doing?" asked Tony. You sit next to him and hand him a beer. "Oh yes, he is probably the most working guy I know. Maybe from one of my teammates." Sam looked at me knowingly. "Rodney?" "Who else?" you said with laughter.
"So Dinozzo, what do you know about our work?" asked Jack. "Nothing, sir, only that it is classified." Jack chuckled along with you and Sam. "Well, that's more than what others know. And only because you are an agent and Y/N here begged for it." Tony looked at all of you confused.
You know Tony will not leave it at that. "We normally tell everyone we work in Deep Space Telemetry. As you can see, not really a good cover story, but for now it worked. You knowing it's classified is more than the rest knows." You smile at Tony knowing he looked for your job at work as he was flagged, but you also knew he will let it be like that (normally he wouldn't but you managed to convince him).
You suddenly hear a car pulling into the driveway, last people to come to the bbq. "See Jackson, I told you they would be here before us," said a male voice, another male answering him: "But it could be something important!"
"Leave it Daniel, we're here to finally meet this sexy agent," said woman's voice. "Of course you are only here for the guy," said the second voice in defeat. "Relax Jackson, it was undiscovered for who knows how long, it can stay that way for a few days," said the first voice. "Indeed," agreed third male voice, this one deeper than the first ones.
Four people came through the doors. One woman with long black hair and three guys. One with military-styled brown hair, the other with glasses and last afro-american dude full of muscles. "Yeah, that must be the guy even marines are afraid of," thought Tony.
"Y/N!" shouted the woman. You rise and jump to her and hug her. "Vala, so glad you came." You smile and hug the guys too. You can feel Tony standing behind you. "Okay guys, this is my boyfriend Tony Dinozzo. Tones, this is Colonel Cameron Mitchell, Dr. Daniel Jackson and before you ask, he is an archeologist and linguist, this is Vala and Murray."
"So you're the guy we were ordered to scare off?" asks Cam. Tony looks unsure for a second but that puts up his best smile. "That would probably be me, yes." "Guys, leave him be. He looks good y'know," Vala smiled. You immediately halt the conversation. "One thing needs to be made clear. You and Vala are not to be flirting, you got it?" Tony nods right away. "You're no fun," said Vala as she pouts. "Don't worry Y/N, I will keep an eye on her," Daniel assured you and brought Vala closer to him.
Murray (or as we know him Teal'c) stepped in front of Tony and looked him directly in the eye. "Y/N L/N is like a sister to me. In my culture if you would have hurt her, I would be in my rights to dismember you. Remeber this." With that he bowed slightly and moved next to Jack.
Tony turned slowly towards you in shock. "He wouldn't do that, right?" Everyone present laughed and you pat Tony on the shoulder. "Don't worry, we're in the states so I think you are relatively save."
You then turn to the gang and put your hand on your hips. "General, did you ordered someone to scare Tony off?" Jack looked like innocence itself. "I don't know what you're talking about." You rolled your eyes and shook your head. "Okay, with all the threats done, can we have fun?" Everyone agreed and started talking about this or that and asking questions, especially Vala. Tony looked more confortable every minutes so you celebrated in your head.
It was several hours later when you stood in front of the backyard door and everyone was engaged in a conversation and just watched it all. Tony now knows a lot of stories about you both from your time on Earth and on Atlantis (even if he doesn't know the name or that it's in different galaxy).
Suddenly hand came around your waist and you lean on the chest. "So what do you say?" you asked. "I really like your family. They are just as dysfunctional as mine but just as close, if not closer. Don't forget, I can read between the lines. You went through a lot together."
You nod. "Yeah we did. Both good and bad. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Did they scare you a lot?" Tony laughed. "Oh yes, especially Murray."
"They wouldn't be my family if they didn't." "No they wouldn't."
And you continue watching as Daniel is explaining something throwing hands around and Jack telling him he will not be getting more beer.
This was your family.

It’s Always Been the Pretty Boy
Warnings: mentions of murder; serial killer; swearing
Paring: Spencer Reid x Female!Reader | NCIS x Criminal Minds crossover
Rating: PG 13 for murder
Summary: Morgan and Torres are fighting over Y/N while they have to do a joint investigation and Y/N eventually just goes on a date with Spencer.
This is fairly long sooo... Sorry for that
----
Y/N was spinning in her chair, watching as the orange walls around her spun. “You okay, Y/N?” Ellie asked. Y/N stopped spinning and smiled at her. “Yeah I’m fine. Just waiting.”
“Waiting for what?” Nick asked as he walked into the bullpen, drinking his coffee and handing Y/N a bag of her favorite chips. “Oh hell yeah! Thanks, Nick.” Y/N said as she opened the bag. “Yep. Last bag in the vending machine.” He said, sitting down. “We’ve got a case, get your bags and let’s go.” Gibbs said as he grabbed his stuff from his desk. Everyone stood up and followed him to the elevator. “But what about McGee, Boss?” Nick asked. “He’s meeting us there.”
----
At the scene, Y/N took pictures, Nick collected evidence, while Tim and Ellie talked to the couple that found the body. “What do we got, Duck?” Gibbs asked. “Well, two GSWs, one two the stomach and one to the head. See the amount of blood here? That says that the shot to the stomach was made before the one to the head. I suppose to weaken the man. But as usual, we won’t know more until the autopsy.” Ducky stated.
----
Everyone finished at the crime scene and once they showed back up to the bullpen, they noticed 3 people standing there. “Uhh Boss? Who are they?” Tim asked. “Leroy!” Vance called from the top of the stairs, next to two people he didn’t recognize. “These Agents are with the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. You’ll be working on a joint investigation. I’ll leave you to make your own introductions. Play nice.” Vance chuckled as he left for his office.
The two agents upstairs made their way down and in front of the others. The taller outstretched his hand toward Gibbs. “Hello, I’m SSA Aaron Hotchner and this is my team. SSA’s David Rossi, Jeniffer Jareau, and Dr. Spencer Reid.” He said, pointing to everyone respectively. “I’m Agent Leroy Gibbs, these are agents Nick Torres, Eleanor Bishop, Tim McGee, and Y/N Y/L/N.” Pointing to each respectively. Once introductions were out of the way, everyone exchanged information.
“Soo what makes you think it’s a serial killer? Nick asked. “Well, so far we’ve had 4 victims, all killed the same way, and all have or are working for either a branch of the military.” Hotch stated. Y/N stood up. “Boss, I’m gonna go check up on Ducky and Palmer.” Gibbs nodded. “Mind if I come with you, Sweetness?” Derek asked and Nick glared at Derek. “Sure. Follow me.” Y/N said.
Gibbs got a phone call. “Yeah, Abbs? On my way.” Gibbs said, putting his flip phone back in his pocket. “Who was that?” Hotch asked. “Our forensic analysis.” Gibbs said. “Mind if I come with?” Gibbs shook his head. “Sure. But we’ve gotta make a stop first.” Hotch nodded and followed behind.
“He still uses a flip phone?” JJ asked. “Yep. Refuses to upgrade.” McGee said.
----
“Alright Ducky, what do you have?” Y/N said cheerfully. “Ah! Y/N! Where’s Jethro?”
“He’s in the lab. Where’s Jimmy?”
“Oh something came up with Breena. Who’s the fine young fellow?” Ducky asked looking at Derek. “Ducky, this is Derek Morgan with the BAU. Derek, this is Dr. Donald Mallard, or Ducky.”
“Oh..FBI, I bet Jethro is not too happy about that.”
“He is not.” Y/N said, chuckling. “So, Ducky, what did you find?” Derek asked. “Apart from the two GSWs, this young man is quite healthy. There is also some adhesive residue on his wrists and ankles.”
“Time of death?” Y/N asks. “I’d say around 18:30-19:00 hours.
But I did find something rather peculiar.” Ducky says as he picks up a small petri dish with a piece of paper in it. “I was just about to take it up to Abby to see if there was any.”
“What is it?” Derek asks. “It’s a piece of paper, it just has the number 6 on it. It was lodged down his throat. Almost like he was forced to swallow it but refused.” Ducky said. “Does this mean anything to you?” Y/N asked. “No, I’ll see if any other bodies had something shoved down their throats.” Derek said as he dialed the number for Garcia.
----
“So what are you doing?” Nick asked, walking up to Reid. “I’m creating a geological profile based on where all the victims were abducted and disposed of.” Reid said without looking away. “Does your friend always flirt with women he’s just met?” Nick said.
“Usually. But I’m sure you're the type too.” Nick looked at Spencer confused. “What do you mean?”
“Well, you wear tight shirts when you really don’t have to. You just want to show off your physical shape. Whenever Y/N walks by you you subtly flex your muscles and puff out your chest. So either you like her, or she’s smart enough to not give you the attention you so very much desire.” Reid said as he turned around and looked at Nick, mouth agape.
They heard snickers from the others. “Oh shut it McGee.” He said, sitting down at his desk.
----
“Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs! What took you so long?!” Abby yelled. “Abbs..”
“Right!” Abby stopped when she noticed Aaron. “Gibbs, who’s this?”
“Agent Aaron Hotchner.” Gibbs said with a sting in his voice. “With the BAU.” Hotch held out his hand to Abby and reluctantly, she took it. “I’m Abby. So, what I found was some DNA that wasn’t our Petty Officer’s, it was animal fur. Like, dog or cat hair. I can’t tell what just yet. But, was able to see where he was last seen due to a credit card transaction he made about 30 miles away at a coffee shop. I found camera footage that showed him talking to someone, then being led away by that same person.” Abby said, pulling up the video.
“So he must have somewhere else he keeps the victims. But since there was no physical evidence of torture, it must be psychalogical.”Hotch said.
*Beep*
“Oh! It’s Ducky!” Abby said, answering the facetime and showing it on her screen. “Hello Jethro and Abby!” He said. “Hey, we found a piece of paper lodged down our Petty Officer’s throat. It has the number 6 on it.” Y/N said. “There must be two more bodies we don’t know about. I’m having Garcia check on it now.” Derek said.
----
Sure enough they found two more bodies, two parents Kevin and Maria Grant, in the marines. They were both shot in the stomach, forced fed the piece of paper, and then shot in the head. The mom had a number two, and the dad had a number one. Police thought it was their 14 year son, Lyle Grant, but they had no real evidence to support that.
---
“Garcia said that Lyle doesn’t have any addresses under his name. But something has come up. There’s a missing person. Female, brown hair, and physically fit. Fits the female portion of our victimology.” Derek said, putting the phone on speaker. “Okay Garcia, try looking for something in the comfort zone under the parents’ name.” Rossi said. “Nothing.” Garcia said. “Who was Lyle’s legal guardian after the murder?” Ellie asked. “Got it, strange voice I’ve never heard before. After killing his parents, he went on to live with his Aunt Jamie Frank…”
“And where is she now?” Ellie asked. “She died about 4 months ago.”
“That’s our trigger. Garcia look for something under her name.”
“Umm we have an abandoned veterinary office that she used to own but is now owned by the state and set to be demolished.”
“Address Garcia.”
“Already sent.” She said as she hung up. “Morgan, JJ, Rossi, you’re with me.” Hotch said. “Torres, Bishop. Come on.” Gibbs said and all of them left.
“So, since we are here for a bit, let’s get to know each other.” Y/N said, sitting next to Reid and McGee. “Y/N you should’ve seen it. Dr. Reid made Nick turn as red as a strawberry.” Tim said. “Ohh what’d you say?” Y/N asked. “I just pointed out the obvious. He clearly likes you in a romantic sense.”
“Ha! He wishes.” Y/N laughed. “You don’t like him?” McGee asked mockingly. “Ha. Ha. No, I don’t like him like that. I mean yeah, he’s a great guy but he’s not my type.” Y/N said, rolling her eyes. “Really? I-I mean he’s confident, strong built, and he seems somewhat willing to settle. Statically, that’s what most women go for.” Spencer said.
“What people find attractive can’t be put up to stats, Dr. Reid.” Tim said. “Yeah. And besides, you’re more my type anyway.” Y/N said, looking at Reid. He turned bright red. “You’re-You’re I’m- your what-”
Y/N chuckled at the chaos she created. “I think you broke him.” Tim said. “Yep. You’re my type. Speaking of, wanna catch dinner after this case? I know this amazing restaurant downtown.”
“I- sure.”
---
“Alright listen, Y/N is taken.” Nick said, pulling Derek to the side. “And I don’t think your advances are really gonna work.” They had just arrested the unsub and found the missing girl, all they had to do was finish up searching the building for anything else they may have missed.
“Oh really? Who’s she taken by?” Derek smirked. “Well- she’s not like- taken, taken. But she will be. After I ask her out when we get back.”
“So she’s single. Thanks for the heads up man.” Derek said, patting Nick’s shoulder and laughing. “Wait! What I mean is- She’s going to choose me over you.”
“Oh really?”
“Yep. She barely knows you. We’ve known each other for so long now.”
“Riightt. But I can tell she doesn’t like you. I notice behavior, remember?”
“Yeah well you’re behavior noticing skills are not as good as you think.”
“Guys! Are you two seriously fighting over Y/N right now!?” Ellie yelled. “No!” Both Derek and Nick said, going their separate ways.
---
“I’m sure he’ll be fine with it.” Reid said. “It's just a day. I’m sure they can find something to do until then.” He said as the elevator dinged. Everyone piled out of the elevator and into the bullpen.
Y/N grabbed the rest of her stuff while Reid asked Hotch if they could stay for one more day.
“So, Y/N..” Nick said as he walked up to Y/N. “I was wondering, if you wanted to go get dinner with me tonight?” Y/N looked up and Nick. “Yeahhh no. I’ve got plans.”
“With who? Him?!’ Nick said, pointing to Derek. “Nope.” Y/N turned around and smiled at Reid. “Hey Spencer you ready?”
“Yep. He can hold off for a day.” Spencer said, smirking at Nick and Derek who both had their jaws dropped. “Okay Pretty Boy, I see you.” Derek said as Reid locked arms with Y/N. The two walked towards the elevator.
“This is your fault.” Nick said, glaring at Derek. “She never liked you anyways, Nick.” Ellie said, patting him on the shoulder as she left. “Ellie’s right you know. You didn’t even stand a chance.” McGee laughed as he left. “I wanna beer.” Nick mumbled to himself. “Let’s go then.” Derek said. “We can wallow in our sorrows together.” He said laughing. “Sure, let me get my coat.”

Is There Life Out There
Summary
Based off the song of the same name by Reba McEntire. Rebecca Torrance had the perfect life. A caring, handsome husband. Good friends who are there for Rebecca.
Rebecca is a college student balancing college classes, working in a restaurant part time, and being the best wife, she can and will be. What happens next?
This is dedicated to my dearest friend, @stardancerluv, who has helped me through so much. Thank you for being there for me, listening to me rambling on and on. <3
Tumblr media
Growing up, my parents said anything is possible, as long as you put your mind into it. I grew up in the small town of Fraizer my entire life as the daughter of a truck driver and a housewife. I'm the youngest of 4 daughters, me being the youngest.
Then as I got older, I decided to attend college classes at the local community college, studying business management. Cheering me on during my studies was my beloved husband, Dan. We met and married when I was twenty, he was 36.
Dan and I met when he first moved to Frazier. Actually, he and I met through my friend, Billy Freeman. Billy and I each took turns helping operate Teeny Town when either of us were free. Dan also entered Alcoholics Anonymous and Billy helped Dan get a job at the local hospice as an orderly.
My favorite music to listen to in my spare time is country music, especially Reba McEntire. She has always been my favorite female singer of all time.
Also, I work as a part time waitress in the local cafe in town, to help with my college classes and tution. Working late hours sometimes keeps me away from spending time with my husband, which breaks my heart sometimes. Usually, Dan and Billy come in from time to time while I'm at work, either to eat or just to have some coffee. Also working with me is my best friend Rachel, who is so amazing and has an adorable bulldog named Toby, who I spoil endlessly with treat everytime I see him.
But lately, I haven't been just feeling myself. So I happened to turn on the song, Is There Life Out There by Reba. The lyrics hit deep within me while I was working on a paper for one of my college classes.
She married when she was twenty
She thought she was ready
Now she's not so sure
She thought she'd done some living
But now she's just wonderin'
What she's living for
Now she's feeling that there's something more
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
She's always lived for tomorrow
She's never learned how
To live for today
She's dyin' to try something foolish
Do something crazy
Or just get away
Something for herself for a change
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
There's a place in the sun that she's never been
Where life is fair and time is a friend
Would she do it the same as she did back then
She looks out the window and wonders again
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wondering
Is there life out there
Is there life out there
So much she hasn't done
Is there life beyond
Her family and her home
She's done what she should
Should she do what she dares
She doesn't want to leave
She's just wonderin
Is there life out there
Dan's POV
I came home from work one night when I found my beloved wife asleep at the kitchen table while working on her paper for her one college class. I know it's been rough for her and that she hasn't been able to spend a whole lot of time with me, but I completely understand that being a waitress, a college student, and a housewife all in one takes alot out of Rebecca.
But in the end, loves wins and always prevails. Like in Rebecca's favorite song, is there life out there? There's so much she hasn't done, is there life beyond me and our home? Honestly, to me, Rebecca thinks is there life out there for everyone.

Never Knew I Needed
Based off the song of the same name by Ne-Yo. Dan and his beloved Y/N are dancing at their wedding. Lots of fluff and song lyrics included (just a fair warning!) in this imagine.
This is dedicated to the amazing and one of my greatest friends, @stardancerluv. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for inspiring me to write this.

''Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr and Mrs. Daniel Torrance will now take the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife." Billy said, who was the good friend of Dan and Y/N.
For the way you changed my plans For being the perfect distraction For the way you took the idea that i have Of everything that i wanted to have And made me see there was something missing (oh yeah)
For the ending of my first begin (Ooh yeah yeah)(ooh yeah yeah) And for the rare and unexpected friend (Ooh yeah yeah)(ooh yeah yeah) For the way you're something that i never choose But at the same time something i don't wanna lose And never wanna be without ever again (oh oh)
You're the best thing i Never Knew I Needed So when you were here i had no idea You're the best thing i never knew i needed So now it's so clear i need you here always
My accidental happily (ever after oh oh oh) The way you slime and how you comfort me (with your laughter) I must admit you were not a part of my book But now if you open it up and take a look You're the beginning and the end of every chapter (oh oh)
You're the best thing i never knew i needed (oh) So when you were here i had no idea You're the best thing i never knew i needed (that i needed) So now it's so clear i need you here always
Who'd knew that I'd be here (who'd knew that I'd be here oh oh) So unexpectedly (so unexpectedly oh oh) Undeniably happy (hey) Said with you right here, right here next to me (oh) Girl you're the.
You're the best thing i never knew i needed (said i needed oh oh) So when you were here i had no idea You're the best thing i never knew i needed (needed oh) So now it's so clear i need you here always Baby baby Now it's so clear i need you here always
At the end of the song, Dan dipped his wife while he also kissed her. Everyone was cheering and Y/N smiled with happy tears.
''Y/N, you are the best thing I never knew I needed. Thank you, sweetheart, for being there always.'' Dan said as he kissed Y/N one more time before everyone else came onto the dance floor to dance the night away.

Usually you wouldn’t use your FBI clearance, no matter how limited it seemed sometimes, to do this kind of thing but this wasn’t a usual day. Just back in regular email/mobile contact with Tony, after he’d dropped off the radar for a while, you’d started to become almost desperate to see your big brother since he seemed to have endless excuses that you shouldn’t. It had been far too long since you’d seen him face-to-face, a few years though you weren’t sure exactly how many, and you finally had an excuse to come over. Sure, you’d been the one to push for that reason, but it still counted. He had no idea that you were coming but, the last time you had visited, he’d shown you around so you knew where he worked. You hadn’t entered the building that time but it was easy enough to ask someone where you could find him, with your disarming smile that got that information faster than just asking did. He was apparently out but they said you could leave a message and wait in the reception area or come back later. The discreetly shown badge gave you the permission to go straight up. It also, you thought as you put it back into your pocket, gave you the opportunity to snoop.
You rolled your sleeves up to your elbows as you exited the elevator, hesitating only slightly before you went towards the desks that the very nice receptionist had told you were for his team. Even if you hadn’t been told which desk was his, you would have been able to tell. He’d kept his desk the same chaotic organised way even when he was a kid, and you trailed your fingers across the edge as you looked over what you saw just on the top, a fond smile tugging at your lips before you sat heavily in his chair. You spun on it for a second, looking over the area behind and to the side of the desk before catching yourself and opening the top drawer to rummage. You quickly snatched up his little football to fiddle with as you shuffled through the papers and read through any little thing that caught your eye. There was nothing that was too entertaining, until you got to the bottom drawer and saw his copy of GSM stood proudly at the very top. With a chuckle that he’d be as broad as to bring it to work, let alone have it so blatant to anyone who was snooping, you took it up and flicked through it. There were the typical articles that made you scoff or nod in agreement with them, as well as the eye-candy that kept the magazine in business, but it kept you strangely captivated with your feet up on Tony’s desk until you heard the elevator ding. That would have only temporarily caught your attention if it wasn’t for the fact that you heard Tony laughing, which made you look up with a childish smile. He was walking over, backwards so he could look at who was evidently Timothy, with his team “Yea, right, McGee. Like I wouldn’t have been able to get to the guy. In college I was-” Then he spun around and stopped in his tracks when he saw you at his desk, a confused frown creasing his brows together. Everyone behind him stopped as well, since there was a stranger so casually at Tony’s desk.
You sat properly, dropping your feet to the floor and the magazine messily back into the desk before you kicked the drawer closed, as Tony’s jaw dropped into a smile and he laughed slightly “Y/N?” He asked as though not sure you were really there, and you stood instantly to round the desk as he hurried over. “Hey Tony.” You grinned and took two steps, meeting him in a massive bear hug that you disappeared into. You were used to that though, since you had always been smaller than him and he loved to totally shroud you when he was happy. You sighed and curled your arms under his to place your hands on his shoulders as he laughed in relief. You stayed in the tight embrace for a few seconds before he moved away and cupped your face in his hands, bright eyes flicking over your face “I missed you.” “I missed you too. I didn’t know you were coming over, why are you here?” “To see you, idiot. It’s been too long.” You looked behind him, to the group that was still curiously watching the whole interaction, and moved his hand off your face “And to finally meet the team that you never shut up about.” Tony looked over to them, as though only just remembering them, and nodded excitedly before he hooked his arm around your shoulders and signalled for everyone to come over to meet you. “Alright, so this is Gibbs, my boss.” He said, gesturing to the elder, and you smiled as you held your hand out to shake while nodding a soft hello. Gibbs returned the smile as he shook your hand, then Tony nodded to who you already had guessed was Tim “Thrandul, the computer monkey.” Though shooting a pointed look to Tony, who just grinned cheekily, McGee still shook your hand and said a soft muttered hello “And, finally, Ziva.” Ziva held her hand out to shake first, and you smiled sweetly as you took it. Despite what Tony had said about her casual everyday brutality, her touch was very tender. She smiled gently and you were slightly awestruck by the light that seemed to shine from her. Quickly, as you dropped our hand from Ziva’s grip, you looked up to Tony, who still seemed to be vibrating with excitement as he held you tight to his side “Everyone, this is Y/N. My baby sister.” Everyone looked to you in almost shock, though varied degrees of it, other than Gibbs. McGee was the most obvious, eyes wide and a soft pout on his lips that Tony would describe as ‘The McGeek look’. Ziva just mouthed ‘oh’ and looked over you in a way that made you shrink into yourself slightly, suddenly self-conscious. Gibbs smiled slightly and nodded. “It’s nice to meet you, Y/N.” “You too, sir.” Gibbs pulled a slight face and Tony instantly looked over to you. “He doesn’t like ‘sir’. Just Gibbs.” “Oh. Sorry. Gibbs.” When Gibbs dismissed it with a smile and a nod, Tony went straight to his usual Big Brother mode. “Y/N works for the FBI.” He grinned and you sighed, starting to shift out of his grip so you could hide away. Unluckily, he was still that bit stronger than you and just tugged you over with an almost sadistic glee “Special Agent, but that’s more out of choice. She could be Supervisory if she wanted but that’s more hassle.” “Tony, please.” Hiding yourself in your hands, not wanting to show these borderline strangers how easily you could blush, you tried to elbow Tony off you. Without any real feeling behind it, though, it was useless to try. “She would have gotten in there before I even joined NCIS, but she was a little busy, weren’t you, Peanut?” He chuckled, earning a warning look but he just grinned. “What were you doing?” McGee asked good-naturedly. “Uh, it’s nothing major.” You said with a shrug, nudging Tony when he seemed about to speak “Just…Didn’t want to get right into such a harsh job.” Tony rolled his eyes and looked over to Gibbs. “Can she stay for a bit, boss?” Gibbs looked over you, considering it, and then nodded. “As long as we get some info on this guy, you can stay as long as you want, Y/N. I’ve got to go down to Abby.” The last sentence was directed to the team, who had all gone to their desks at that point. Gibbs then picked something up from Ziva’s desk and turned back to the elevator, leaving you with the other agents in silence for a second as Tony turned to his desk. You looked around awkwardly and then got a chair from the cubicle beside Tim, rolling it over to sit beside Tony and look over his shoulder at what he was doing. Occasionally, you’d poke him in the side and he’d squirm slightly before hitting your hand with a pout that quickly turned into a smile at your childish grin. After one time, you did look up slightly and saw Ziva was watching the both of you with a smile that made you slightly nervous again. When your eyes met, you looked away suddenly. After a few seconds, when Tony had found out some general stuff that he was sure would suffice, he turned to you. “Why didn’t you want me telling them about your tours?” He asked and you frowned softly. “’S not a big deal.” You shrugged and Tony shot you a look “Tony, you didn’t even tell them about me. They don’t need to know everything all at once.” That spread a grin across your brother’s face. “So you’re trying to be mysterious, huh? Don’t tell me it’s to impress McGee.” You rolled your eyes at his antics, as usual, and softly hit his arm as he laughed. “As if.” “He seems like your type.” Tony tried not to laugh halfway through but the angry pout on your face made that all for nothing. “If that’s a joke that he looks like a chick.” Tony put his hands up in near surrender at the glare you gave him.
“So, Y/N.” Tim said when the typing and searching had subsided all through the pen, making all eyes shoot over to him “Which FBI office are you based in?” You turned slightly towards him and sighed softly as you crossed your ankles. “New Haven. Wanted to still be close to home without being…stuck there.” You shrugged as you started to turn on the chair slightly, rocking yourself more than anything. “Nice.” Tim muttered “What branch?” “Mainly organised crime, but I was involved in a few homicide cases and one counter-terrorism. My, uh, expertise is quite interchangeable.” “How long are you in DC?” Ziva asked as she rested her elbows on her desk and leaned forwards as though getting a better look at you. “Six, maybe seven months unless they need me back before that.” Then you looked over to Tony “I might need to stay at your place for a day or two, until I get one sorted.” Tony nodded and mouthed ‘of course’, pulling you into another brief hug that he ended with a soft kiss to the top of your head “You’re a life saver, Junior.” “Anything for my baby sister.” You rolled your eyes. “I’m not a baby.” You muttered and nudged him gently, though still smiling as you did.
Gibbs then came back, a frown on his face, and Tony instantly stiffened “Uhoh. That’s not good.” He muttered, which made Ziva turn to see the look on Gibbs’ face and she took a deep breath as she turned back. “Do we have anything on this guy?” He snapped and Tony instantly stood, snatching a small remote up from his desk as he manoeuvred around you. He clicked a button and a picture of a naval officer showed up on the screen “Staff Sergeant Devon Kirk. Born in New Jersey to a drug addict who gave him up before he was even two years old, fostered out about a dozen times, barely graduated high school, and joined the Marines pretty much instantly.” Another click that showed up a sheet of paper, zooming on a certain section that was filled with praises on Kirk’s abilities “Quickly rose the ranks, promoted to Corporal faster than anyone in his original squad, seems it was his calling really.” Then Tim stood and took the remote from Tony’s hands, earning him a side-eye. “He was discharged a few months before the first disappearance.” His discharge papers came up on the screen “Apparently he attacked a Corporal when on shore leave; put the guy in the hospital for a month. Since then, he’s not had a stable job. He had and lost five jobs in the first five months after he left the Navy. Then he just...dropped off the radar.” Another click, and a bank statement came up “Nothing since Petty Officer Thompson disappeared. One heavy withdrawal of over half his bank account the day after she was reported missing, then nothing.” You looked over what was on Tony’s screen, frowning slightly as you skimmed the report of Kirk’s behaviour. “He’s probably hiding out somewhere familiar.” You muttered, out of a pure FBI instinct, and everyone looked over to you. “What?” Gibbs asked, turning to you. You looked at him and then looked to your hands. “Sorry. I’ll just…sit here.” You muttered nervously but Gibbs shook his head with a frown. “No, carry on.” First looking to your brother and Tim, then to Ziva, then back to your hands, you sat up straight and cleared your throat. “If he is hiding away, then he’ll be somewhere that he’s used to. I mean, he’s a discharged Staff Sergeant, graduated with a 1.4 GPA, with OCD and intense anxiety. He’s not got a job, no real family, so he’s going to be under intense stress, unless he’s gone back to a place that he’s familiar with and that he knows well.” Everyone was intently watching you, Tony smiling smugly, and you started to shrink more into yourself “I-I’m guessing he’ll go towards military related places. The Marine Corps was the only place he really fit in; his OCD would be mistaken for perfectionism, his anxiety would take a backseat because he’d be focused on orders with strict rules to follow, and he excelled there in a way he never did elsewhere, he had a purpose there. So, probably a place he spent a lot of time in while training or on shore leave. Military bars, houses of old friends, a gym he’d go to.” You looked at Gibbs nervously “He wouldn’t go anywhere new, not since he got kicked out. Too much has changed in his life; he’s too scared to change anything else.” There was a second of silence before Gibbs nodded and a soft smile crossed his face. “Good work, Y/N.” You smiled and ducked your head, especially at the look Tony gave you. Gibbs then sighed and turned “Alright, we need to find him. Hostels, barracks, Navy friends, anything connected to military that he’ll be familiar with.” Everyone hurried back to their desks and got to typing. After a few seconds, where Gibbs did seem to gradually get more and more frustrated, he sighed and stood in the middle of the pen “Anything?” “I might have something.” Ziva said quickly “His last foster family, they were ex-military. They kept in contact with him even after he got discharged.” “Dinozzo, McGee, you get out there. Ziva, keep looking just in case.” You moved to the side as Tony took up his gun and shimmied past you with a soft departing kiss to the top of your head.
Tony and McGee left, Gibbs was soon summoned to MTAC to talk to Kirk’s Major, and that just left you and Ziva. You again opened Tony’s desk and took out his football, tossing it between your hands quickly as you chanced occasional looks at Ziva “That was quite good.” She said eventually and you smiled modestly as you shrugged. “Just observations really.” You threw the ball quite high before catching it easily and putting it on a clear space on the desk “Nothing that was too much of a stretch.” “How did you know he has OCD?” “It’s on his discharge papers.” Ziva seemed to blank before she turned and clicked about on her computer, leaning in with a frown. “Where?” You quickly stood up and hurried over to her to stand behind her and lean over the back of the chair so you could point it out on her screen. “Right…There.” You pointed at the main sentence “Constantly neatening up his quarters, needing to touch the doorframe of every room he walked into. Those sorts of constant specific ‘rituals’, typical counter and arranger-type OCD. It’s a mix of anxiety and total paranoia, that if he doesn’t carry it out exactly right then there’ll be a terrible consequence, probably not helped by the fact that he’d be on a ship and have any number of possible hazards. That’s why he surpassed in the Corps, because they have very specific ways of doing things and their own superstitions and he is very particular about everything he does. Also why he’s more likely to go somewhere familiar, where he knows exactly how his rituals can work out.” Ziva smiled slightly and turned her head to you. “You figured that out, from one line in his discharge papers?” Your shoulder quirked in a half shrug as you smiled. “Not just from that.” You turned to her and were slightly taken aback by how close the two of you were, feeling a blush already starting to spread across your cheeks. Quickly, you turned your head away and stood again before you ran your hand through your hair nervously “Why do you need to find him?” Ziva didn’t look away from you as you walked back to Tony’s desk and sat in his chair. “We think he’s involved in the disappearance of three marines and the death of two.” You nodded your understanding and spun the ball against your palms. “Think he’ll give up the killer?” Ziva frowned and shook her head. “We think he is the killer.” You shook your head insistently as you tossed the ball upwards again. It spun four times before you caught it. “Not with his mind-set. He can’t make these decisions without having a set way behind it or he’ll panic and it’d probably be very easy to catch him, so either he’s being told how to kill very specifically, or he’s in some way an accomplice.” For a second or two, Ziva just looked at you with a gentle frown before she took her phone up and dialled. You didn’t listen in to the conversation, Ziva spoke really quietly and it wasn’t your business anyway. Sure, it was a case and people were probably in danger, but it wasn't your case.
After the call ended, about ten minutes later, she sighed and sat back, looking over to you as you messed with the football. Once or twice it went a bit further back than you though it would but you were quick to lean back to those almost dangerous levels to catch it "What made you come over here now?" She asked suddenly, making you look over quickly. "Um. Well, I didn't hear from Tony for about two years, and about six months ago he just messaged me out of nowhere like nothing had happened." You bowed your head and sighed softly, thinking to all the worry you'd had through those two years and how relieved you were that the message wasn't from someone close to him telling you the worst news. Of course, you'd given him shit for leaving you like that. You took a deep breath and looked at her again "Talking to him again, just made all of it come back, how much I’ve missed him. So I convinced my boss to move me out here for a bit." "And it worked?" Ziva asked with an amused smile, making you smile as you shrugged. "Took a month or two, but...I'm very convincing." Her little laugh, the way she shook her head, made you smile wider and duck your head "It's the, uh, talents of a Dinozzo. When we want something, we charm our way to it." "Did that talent skip Tony?" Ziva asked and you laughed, tipping your head back as you did. "With his track record, I'm guessing it must have." Then you looked to her, still smiling "Don't tell him I said that." "I wouldn't dare." She looked over you for a second and pouted just slightly as though pondering something "Tony never told us about you." You nodded once and quirked your brows up with a sigh. "Yea. He...He isn't the type to put family in with his work life. I get it though, with what our family is like." You clapped your hands together, to try and lighten the mood, and went back to throwing the ball around "But, I couldn't help myself. I've heard a lot of good things about everyone, and I wanted to finally meet the legendary MCRT that Tony keeps going on about." "I'm glad you did." Ziva smiled "Now I have someone to tell me embarrassing stories about Tony's childhood." "I do have a lot of them." You mused and threw the ball up again. Just as you were ready to catch it, a hand shot out from over the little cubicle wall and snatched it on its downward path. You looked over and saw Gibbs, who had suddenly materialised the way Tony would always say he had a habit of doing. "Having fun?" He asked as you sat properly, eyes suddenly wide and face paling slightly at being caught. "I, uh...I guess? I mean..." You stuttered, not missing the slight amused smile shot at you by Gibbs as he threw the ball back to you. "Ziva. Anything else?" He asked, totally ignoring how you were freaking out at Tony's desk. "Not really." Ziva sighed and tapped at her keyboard a little bit "He didn't really have friends outside of the Navy, and the’re all on duty. What did his Major say?" "Nothing much. Didn't know of any safe places he'd go on shore leave, didn't know of any girlfriends or fiancées. He suspected OCD but it wasn't disrupting his performance so there wasn't a point in reporting it." You rolled your eyes. Of course. As long as it doesn't bother anyone, why should mental issues be reported?
After a bit more chat, about possible places that Kirk could be hiding out in (that you did help with), Gibbs sighed and looked over to you "Dinozzo. Can you go down to the lab? Abby should have something for us by now." You hesitated before nodding, not sure why he'd want you to go down there but glad that you wouldn't have to find an excuse to see Abby before they'd finished with a case.
The first thing that hit you about the lab was the booming drums that seemed to come from everywhere at once the second that the door opened. The second thing was the dark haired woman in front of the many monitors, wearing boots that went to her knees and black shorts that only just were visible under her lab-coat as she danced on the spot. You looked around for a stereo or a remote to turn the music down, but you settled for walking over and tapping the woman on the shoulder. She turned quickly, her pigtails hitting her in the face when she did "Oh gosh. You scared me." She pouted before she turned the music down and looked back at you with a smile "Who are you?" "Um, I'm Y/N Dinozzo. Tony's sister. Gibbs said-" "-Tony has a sister?!" Her jaw dropped and she looked over you, walking around you as though seeing every angle would somehow help her see the resemblance. "Uh, yea." "And he didn't tell me?" She stopped in front of you and pouted, dropping her arms down to her sides. "He's not the type." You said hesitantly, slightly scared of Abby. Of course, Tony had warned you about her but he also said she was a bit more…energetic on Caff-Pow, which she seemed to have had a lot of if the contents of the trash were anything to go off "I...He told me all about you though." That seemed to cheer her up, her eyes widening and cheeks puffing out with her smile. "Really? What'd he say about me?" "That you're a bit loopy and you scare him sometimes but in a good way." She put her hands to her heart and smiled "And that your hugs help him more than you probably think they do." "Aww. I knew he loved me really." She sighed happily and dropped her hands to her sides again "Well, even if I didn't know about you, it's great to meet you." She pulled you into a tight hug and hummed before pulling away before you could even slightly reciprocate.
Her eyes scanned over you again and a pout formed across her painted-pink lips "Are you military?" You looked over yourself with a frown. You didn't think you looked particularly military, didn't even look particularly like a fed, but somehow Abby saw through it. "Um, FBI." "But you used to be military?" You hesitated before nodding "Hmm. Thought so." Instantly, you deflated and looked back across your clothes with a pout. "It is obvious?" Abby tutted and shook her head quickly, waving her hand to dismiss it instantly. "Not really. To me, yea. Maybe to Gibbs as well, but I don't think Ziva and McGee would figure it out unless you were in full uniform." She turned to her computer screens then "Have you met them yet?" "Yea, I did. Back upstairs." "What'd you think?" The look on her face was almost like she was asking you about a personal project. Then again, Tony did have his theories about why Abby was so adamant about checking up on them. While you didn't suffer as deeply from Movie Brain as your brother, you had to admit that his conspiracies were well thought out. The likelihood of him not knowing when his precious food has been tampered with, however, was quite low. "Well, Tim seems nice. Quiet, but nice. I mean, I didn't get to talk to him much before Gibbs sent him off with Tony, but Tony didn't really exaggerate about him as much as I thought he would. A bit, you know, but it is Tony." You lowered your eyes to the floor as your thoughts turned to Ziva "Ziva's cool. Really casual, I thought she'd be more...hostile, I guess." Abby laughed, making you snap your eyes to her "What?" "Nothing." Abby shook her head quickly "She's not really that hostile, unless you're Tony. I've always seen her as more butch than anything. Not to say she doesn't have her moments, she's gorgeous in a dress." "Not just in a dress." You muttered before you thought about it, and your eyes widened when Abby shot her head around to look at you. There was a sparkle in her eye that Tony had told you to worry about, it was a trouble sparkle, and you tried to play it off with a smile "She's pretty, prettier than Tony described." Abby nodded a 'sure' and grinned. "What about Gibbs?" "Reminds me of my Supervisory. Just, more head-slaps, less obscure music references." You rubbed your hands together "Speaking of Gibbs, he's why I'm down here. He said you should have something for the case?" The goth nodded instantly, snatching up a piece of paper from the table behind her and holding it out for you. When you took it, she clasped her hands together and swayed softly. "I couldn't get a clear DNA match just yet, it seems to be two different people's blood. But, I ran through drugs tests and found this." She poked one spot on the paper and your eyes were drawn to it. "Paroxetine." You smiled softly "OCD medication." Abby nodded, almost proudly “I was right." Then you looked to her with a smile "Thanks, Abs. It was so good meeting you." "Oh." She frowned happily and hugged you again, this time letting you return it "It was great meeting you. We should hang out sometime, properly. Like, go for drinks." "I'd really like that." You nodded once when she moved away "See you later." She waved energetically and bounced on the balls of her feet as you left back to the bullpen.
When you got up to the bullpen again, the paper clutched in your hands like it was a report card, Tony and Tim were back. Tony saw you first and pointed an accusatory finger in your direction "I thought you'd ran off." He said when you got close enough to hear him. "Sorry, Junior. Abby was...talking." After a second of thought, he nodded his understanding "Very huggy." "Yea, you get used to it." You rounded the desks and went to Gibbs, holding the paper out to him. He looked over you as he took it like Abby had done, making you realise that maybe you stood more military than you first thought. You tried to relax your shoulders, and a twitch of a smile caught your attention as he must have noticed it, but he put his glasses on and looked over the paper. "What am I looking at here?" "The, um, drug tests on the blood. At least one of the two had Paroxetine in their system. It's a SSRI. Taken for depression, OCD, panic disorders, or PTSD." "We think Kirk was there?" You nodded softly and sighed. "If he's taking Paroxetine, he might be a bit more capable on his own than I thought." Gibbs took his glasses off and sat back with a hardly-audible sigh. You took that as a dismissal so you went back to sit beside Tony again.
Soon after, your exhaustion from the travel started to kick in. Your head started to droop down until you were resting against your crossed arms on the desk, drifting slowly into sleep. What shocked you out of it was Tony's hand placed gently on your shoulder, just slightly shaking you back into the real world "You should get to my place, Peanut. Get some sleep." He said calmly and you nodded "Want me to drive you?" "I can do it." Ziva said quickly, making you both look over to her. Tony stood slowly and crossed his arms with a suspicious pout on his lips. "Why would you want to?" "Because, Tony, Gibbs still needs you to tell him what happened when you questioned Kirk's foster parents, and I don’t have much to do." Though a feasible excuse, Tony still looked cautious until you sighed and sat up. "Don't be a prick, Anthony." You stretched out your arms with a groan before looking at Ziva again "Thank you, Ziva. I'd like that." She smiled gently and stood to put her jacket on. Tony's eyes widened the second you finished the sentence, but you ignored him while you stood up and stretched out again before dropping your arms around his neck in a hug "I'll see you when you finish up." He grumbled in reply but calmed his slight annoyance down enough to hug you back. "Alright. I'll take-" "-I'll take the couch. It's your place, it's not fair for me to take over your bed." He shook his head but knew better than to take you on, especially when you were tired, so just kissed your forehead and patted you on the shoulder twice. Before you were out of the vicinity of the bullpen, he held his hand out to you with a key pinched between his fingers. "There. Don't want to tell you where I hid the spare." "Same sort of spot you have since you first got your own place, I'm guessing." Tony paused then nodded and put his key back into his pocket. You sighed and looked back to McGee and Gibbs "It was nice meeting you." Gibbs nodded in acknowledgement and Tim looked up with a smile and a wave. "Hope to see you again." Tim called out as you turned back. "Down boy." You heard from Tony as you followed Ziva to the elevator "That's my baby sister." Ziva laughed softly at the eye-roll and shake of your head that Tony earned.
You didn't speak to her until you got to your car, instead focusing very hard on staying awake so you didn't face-plant in front of her. You handed Ziva the keys after unlocking the doors, sliding into the passenger seat with a deep sigh and tipping your head back. Ziva looked over you for just a second before she started the car up "You might want to buckle up." She said, making you look over to her "Tony must have told you about my driving." "Oh, yea. Said you make Fast and Furious look like Mario Kart." You mumbled as you buckled yourself in before relaxing again. "I promise to calm it down, so you can rest." "Thanks." You sighed and shifted to get a bit more comfortable before starting to drift off again. Before you'd even left the parking lot, you were sound asleep.
You woke with a start when you felt a soft push at your shoulder, looking around and realising you were at Tony's place. You groaned and rolled your head to get rid of the slight tension that had come up from sleeping while sat upright. As you ran your hand through your hair, you smiled sleepily at Ziva "Thanks again. Hope I didn't snore." "Not much." Just the idea that you had, even slightly, made you sigh. At least you hadn't drooled on yourself though. You both exited the car and you, again, stretched. Your shirt rode up a bit and you were quick to drop your arms with a quick look to Ziva, making sure she hadn't noticed. She hadn't seemed to, so you sighed in relief. "I'll give you money for a cab back." You said as she handed you the keys back. "No need. I volunteered, it's no trouble." You were about to insist but the look on her face made you think it probably wasn't the best thing to do so you just nodded as you rounded the car to get your luggage. Ziva silently insisted on helping you with that as well, since it was a bit too much for you to carry in one trip, and you again thanked her at the door of Tony's place as well as apologised for the inconvenience. She just chuckled and again said it was no trouble at all as you opened the door and just placed the bags inside next to the door so you could deal with it all later on "Would you like to meet for dinner after the case is closed?" She asked suddenly, just as you took the last bag from her hands. It made you pause for a second but you nodded softly and placed the bag down. "Um, yea, sure." At her smile, you couldn't stop yours from spreading across your face no matter how you tried to calm it as you dug your hands in your pockets to find your phone "I'll give you my number, so you can text me or call me or whatever when it's finished up." She handed you her own phone and you tapped your number in as a new contact before handing it back to her with a smile "I guess I'll hear from you then." "Unless you come to visit the team again before then." It almost sounded hopeful and caused another smile from you. "From what Tony's told me about your success rate, it won't take too long. I guess we'll see though." You shrugged, and the two of you stood in silence for a second or two until Ziva took in a deep breath and sighed. "I should go back." You nodded once and held your hand out for her to shake. "It was great to finally meet you." Ziva smiled and shook your hand, slowly and with a gentle grip that still seemed nothing like what Tony said she was usually like and left your palm tingling. "It was great to meet you as well. I only hope Tony had told us about you before." There seemed to be something in how she looked over you but you shrugged it off as wishful thinking as she turned and left with a final goodbye.
You locked up and instantly went over to lie on the couch with a sigh. You had no idea where Tony kept his spare blankets, if he even had any, but you didn't even really have the time to wonder about it. You didn’t have time to do much but move one of the decorative cushions to use as a pillow before you were drifting off to sleep again, still fully dressed including your shoes. It had been a long day.

Traitor
Tim McGee x reader
Summary: McGee’s girlfriend feels guilty when she must pose as an NCIS mole and is arrested in front of her team
Requested: nope! just got inspired
Words: 1,178
Warnings: spoilers for 6x8 and 6x9 (but those eps came out in 2008 so who rlly cares anyway), a bit o’ angst
Notes: I don’t own any dialogue from the eps listed above. also I was a dumbass who deleted this by accident so here it is again
Tumblr media
You and Abby waited in her lab, Abby attempting to calm you down. You were about to expose yourself as the mole at NCIS in front of your boyfriend and all of your co-workers, and you were feeling a bit scared. This is what you were trained to do, you told yourself as an attempt to quell your nervousness.
Gibbs had approached you at the beginning of the mission, even before Ziva and Tony had broken into the classified navy building containing the top-secret Domino files. The Domino files contained the US plan in response to an attack on Israel.
He asked for yours and Abby’s help in making everyone believe that you were the mole, in order for Agent Lee to believe that she was no longer a suspect. Abby had concocted the same substance that was on the Domino file keyboard in the classified building. She dabbed the colorless, odorless chemical onto your fingers earlier that day, giving it time to settle. It would make the scanner beep during the scanning of your fingers, alerting everyone that you were the one who had accessed the files.
It was the perfect plan, really, to catch Agent Lee in the act of betrayal. She would believe that she had evaded suspicion, causing her to make another move with her co-conspirator. Even though Gibbs and Abby knew this plan, McGee, DiNozzo, Ziva and the others did not.
Abby answered the knock on her door and both of you were escorted out by security. You made your way to the evidence garage in complete silence.
You stood stone-still between Abby and Jimmy, nervous for Vance’s oncoming spiel.
“No one speak. If there is any confusion on why you’re here, it will soon become clear. Several of you were involved in a covert operation last night. The rest of you, whether you were aware or not, were in close enough proximity to have knowledge of some, if not all, of the details. The operation was designed to identify a security leak in our department.”
Sweat beaded above your brow. You wore a nervous expression at the order of Gibbs. Although you would’ve looked nervous anyway, even if he hadn’t told you to.
“One of you accessed the console on site. This will tell me who,” Director Vance finished, holding up the yellow handheld device, akin to a price scanner. A price scanner for guilty agents like you. Not you, you told yourself, stop thinking that you’re actually guilty.
“Until this matter is resolved, no one is to leave the building. There is a traitor in this room.” You looked downwards as Vance approached Gibbs and scanned his hands. Then Ducky, Tony and Ziva. As Vance passed Tim and Michelle to approach you, everyone’s heads turned. All eyes were on you in this pivotal moment.
“Show me your hands.”
You outstretched your palms as the scanner made its scratchy noise, telling Vance that he had found the traitor.
You lowered your arms. “Take Agent (y/l/n) into custody,” Vance ordered.
The only way to describe the faces of your co-workers was stunned and confused. You? Straight-laced Special Agent (y/l/n)? You were a valued and vetted member of Gibbs’ team. How could an agent like you commit such a treacherous crime?
-
You were waiting patiently in the interrogation room when your boyfriend and co-worker, Tim McGee, burst through the door.
“Alright. I’ve only got a minute. Gibbs is up with the Director right now trying to figure out who’s going to interrogate you,” he leaned in, closer to you, “(y/n), you have got to tell me what is going on.”
“Shut up, Tim. I won’t tell you anything.”
“You just told me to shut up.”
“I made a bad decision and now I have to take my punishment, okay?” you yelled. You were kind of getting into the act. Lying was becoming a bit of guilty fun.
“You’re lying, (y/n). I know you. I love you, for god sakes! You wouldn’t do this.”
“I’m going to prison for a long time, Tim. I’m sorry for betraying you.”
“(y/n), this is absurd! You are not a traitor. Why would you be? You love this country. You love NCIS. You love the team and you would never risk losing this job. (Y/n), you would never betray me.”
And he was right. You would never betray the team, especially him. Timothy, whom you had fallen in love with years ago. You two had kept your forbidden relationship a secret for almost two years before Gibbs told you that he’d known the whole time, giving both of you a simultaneous blessing and warning.
You would never betray Tony, who showed you the ropes when you were a young probie before McGee’s time. He was your mentor. You could never betray Ziva, who had taught you how to wield a knife, deal with men, and survive the life of being a badass female agent. She was your best friend. And you would never betray Gibbs, your harsh but stable boss who had been somewhat of a father figure to you after moving to D.C. and away from your family.
Your thoughts were interrupted when Director Vance opened the door to the interrogation room.
“Agent McGee, what are you doing with my suspect?” Vance asked, pointedly.
“Nothing, director. She’s not talking anyway,” he huffed. Vance looked over at you. You were leaned back in your chair, arms crossed over your chest. You looked at Vance with a pissed-off expression.
“I want a lawyer,” you grumbled.
“Sit tight, (y/l/n),” Vance ordered harshly, before slipping out the door.
-
“Here’s what I know. You’ve been sneaking off alone, you’ve been hiding from the team since the war game operation went down, and you’ve been acting out of it lately. I know it looks bad, but (y/n), I know that you’re a good person. Sometimes you’re annoying and a know-it-all, but you’re trustworthy and always reliable. And damnit (y/n), I love you. I’ll follow you to prison if I have to. Which I don’t want to do, but if you won’t talk-”
You couldn’t take this torture anymore. “Tim, of course I want to talk. I’m dying here. I’ve been in on it the whole time. The catching the traitor part, not actually being the traitor.”
“Oh- OH!” McGee exclaimed.
“Gibbs came to Abby and I, days ago. Abby formulated the marking dye and applied it to my hands. I’ve been secretive because I was already scared of hurting you and the team. Seeing your faces when I was taken into custody… it felt like a punch in the gut,” you confessed.
“So this is all part of it? Gibbs and Vance know you’re innocent?”
“Yes, but you’re so sweet to worry, Timmy. I’m not the traitor,” you grinned.
Tim was so elated at your innocence that he leaned over the table and kissed you passionately on the mouth.
And in that moment, you knew exactly why you had fallen for him.

The Connection - Tim McGee x Reader
This was requested by an anon <3 I´m sorry this turned out so bad and short but I am better at writing angst.
Request: I can´t find the exact request anymore but something about a short & cute reader and McGee hears her talking about Batman or The Joker and he wants to ask her out.
“And I watched the new batman movie yesterday and it was so amazing and well done.”
McGee heard Y/N talking to a co-worker. She was a new agent for the cyber part of NCIS and just transferred from Seatlle to DC. She seemed to be the female version of Timothy McGee. Y/N was short, but super cute and pretty and she liked all the movies McGee liked. She was simply perfect in McGee´s eyes.
“When will you stop starring at her and actually go and ask her out?”, Tony teased and Bishop agreed.
“Yes, you´ve been watching her ever since she started working here. What´s stoping you from asking her out on a date?”
Tim actually did not know. Why did he hesitate? He gathered all his courage and got up.
“You know what? You´re right!”; he said as he walked over to Y/N.
Bishop and Tony watched their co-worker finally making the first step into the right direction and Tony was filled with pride.
“Ugh..he´s growing up so fast!”, he joked and went  back to work only to glance over to McGee and Y/N ever so often.

The Sounds of Justice (9)
Tumblr media
Warnings: canon typical violence, cursing, non-consensual drugging, descriptions of character death, mentions and descriptions of jail, car crashes, lying, manipulation, guns, yandere themes, mafia AU, mafia Rafael Barba (trust me, he needs the warning), mentions of rape (not to the reader), and unwanted advances (nothing happens to the reader).
Chapter 9
At the top of the stairs in Gibbs’ basement, on the other side of the open door, the chill from the night air was even more noticeable.  Your boss didn’t look up from the area that he was focusing on the wooden frame of his boat but you knew that he had registered your presence.  Descending the stairs, you made your way to the opposite side of the boat to Gibbs and accepted the sandpaper that he thrust at you.
“You should be sleeping.”
“I can’t.”  You confessed after you identified where you needed to use the sandpaper.  This wasn’t your first time in your boss’ basement and it was an open invitation to any member of Gibbs’ team to visit Gibbs in his basement and talk through any problems that you were facing.  “The what-ifs keep buzzing around in my mind.  What if I hadn’t had breakfast that morning?  What if Barba’s second-in-command had gotten the dosage wrong?  Or what if he decided that Sonny and I weren’t worth the hassle of keeping us alive?  What if I hadn’t gone with Sonny to that warehouse?  What if Sonny had been hurt worse because I didn’t put together that Barba was the one we were really searching for?”
“What if you stepped off the path at the wrong time and you got hit by a bus?”  Your boss questioned without missing a beat.  “What if you fell down the stairs just now?”
The repetitive movements of your hand allowed your mind to drift back to the case and concentrate on the facts of the case while your mind absorbed what your boss was telling you.
“I’m disappointed in myself,” you exhaled.  “I had all this training and experience from the BAU and from NCIS and I still didn’t see Barba’s betrayal coming.  I should have known better when he took an interest in me.”
Gibbs snorted sceptically, “It wasn’t just you that he deceived.”
“Yeah, I know.”  You responded.
You and your boss lapsed into a comfortable silence until you remembered something else.  “Barba’s now in a federal prison and Interpol has the relevant information.”
There was a slight displeased twitch of your boss’ lips at the mention of Interpol.  The less he had to deal with Interpol, the better.  Especially when it came to their boss, a former insurance salesman.  The dealings that he had had with them in the past were less than pleasant and Gibbs had promised himself that he would do whatever he needed to do to keep the interactions between you, Tony, Bishop, Torres, Ducky, Palmer, Abby, Ziva, and McGee to a minimum.  Gibbs was grateful for the fact that you had remembered about Rule 45 which meant that Interpol was up to date and wouldn’t be bothering his team unless there was a dire need.  Gibbs hoped that never happened.
“Rule 11?” Your boss quizzed.  His voice belied none of his thoughts.
“When the job is done, walk away.”
“Move to your right.  That panel needs more sanding.”
Meanwhile, Rafael Barba sat at a white circular table on a hard chair with his hands cuffed on top of the table after his trial in front of the Naval Court.  To no one’s surprise, he was found guilty on all accounts.  He had to give the officers in charge some credit; they were remarkably efficient and swift in dispensing justice when they learned that two of their own were impacted as a result of his actions.
Regardless of the fact that he had not been there very long, Rafael was still entitled to visits.  He tuned out the mindless chatter in the room and focused on his cuffed hands.  A shadow appeared on the tabletop and unhurriedly, he moved his gaze to the person who cast the shadow.
“I see you got my message.”
Rita Calhoun settled down opposite him, “Never thought I’d see the day when Rafael Barba sat in federal prison as a prisoner.”
Rafael cast his eyes around the spacious and poorly designed room.  He made eye contact with one of the guards and jerked his chin upwards.  The guard paled and gave the order for the room to be cleared.
When the room was empty, Rafael spoke again, “Though it is not the same as the outside world, I have a substantial amount of influence in this prison.”
Rita laid her briefcase on the table, “And I presume this is where I come in?”
Rafael inclined his head.
“Then we had better get started on your defence.  I believe the sympathetic angle would be the best bet.  You will have to assure the court that you are not a threat to society which includes you promising that you won’t seek any opportunities to take revenge on the NCIS and SVU teams that played a role in your arrest.”
Rafael was silent and a calculating gleam appeared in his green eyes that had dulled slightly from his time in prison.  While he was afforded some luxuries due to his position on the outside, nothing compared to the comforts of home.
“If the court senses that you will harm Special Agent (Surname)--”
“NO!” Barba thundered, “She is not to be harmed.  If anyone attempts to do so, they will deal with me!”  He thumped his hand on the table for added emphasis and he enjoyed the involuntary jump from Rita after his proclamation.
“The others are not to be harmed either.  I will not take the chance that (Name) might risk her life to protect one of them.”
“I’ll give the order,”  Rita promised.
“Good to hear.”  Rafael smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes, “With your assistance, I’m sure that I’ll be released very soon.”

Preview of the sequel to my Rafael Barba Mafia AU fic.
“He’s in prison.  He’s in prison.  He’s in prison.”  You chanted in your mind.
“And now for the findings.  Doctor Chilton, if you would be s--”
“Hang on.”  Gibbs interrupted, “Are you telling us that you’ve already made your decision?  I thought this was a review.”
“It is.  You were tried in absentia.”  Sterling replied.
You clenched your jaw as Doctor Chilton began to speak about how your team had dangerous levels of co-dependency and how that was indicative of a larger problem at NCIS.  Surely everyone in the room had noticed that his vibrant green eyes never left you throughout the whole briefing?  It wasn’t just you being paranoid, right?
“It is my personal recommendation that the entire NCIS team be demoted to probationary status.”  He concluded.

Chapter 1
“Come on Tim!”  You growled from behind clenched teeth at your partner of six weeks, “We have that stupid external review and we’re going to be late if you keep tapping away at your keyboard!  In case you’ve forgotten, just to complicate matters, the review is going to be conducted by Jim Sterling’s Interpol team.”
“I’m coming.  I’m coming.”  Your partner assured you as he finished what he was doing on his computer and stood up.  “And in answer to your statement, no I hadn’t forgotten that Sterling’s Interpol team would be conducting our review.”
He flicked you on the forehead as he stalked past you.
It didn’t take long for you to catch up with him, “What were you doing on your computer?”
Tim grinned mischievously, “I like to think of it as my insurance policy.”
You groaned and shook your head, “I shouldn’t have asked.”
“What, you don’t appreciate my clever pun?”
You ignored him.  The Interpol agents that were waiting at the entrance to the conference room looked all too smug and then you noticed the other members of your team.
“We’re all going in here?” You questioned.
“Looks like it.”  Ziva confirmed.
“This is ridiculous.  In my day, when someone was a visitor, they acted like a guest.  There was no sense of entitlement to another’s space.”  Ducky groused, shooting a disapproving look at the agents guarding the door.
“So all of us are going to be in the conference room at the same time?” Tony probed.
“I thought that was clear.”  The Interpol agent on the left scoffed.
“And once again, the Interpol team disregards Gibbs’ rules.  They’re there for a reason.  The last time they disregarded Rule 1, the suspect nearly got away.  If it hadn’t been for Abby and Ziva’s quick thinking, the suspect would have escaped.”
Tim seemed to have an inkling as to what you were thinking because he clasped his hands together with his right hand over his left.  His fingers on his right hand were visible and he discreetly tapped them against the back of his left hand four times.
“Right.  Rule 16.  If someone thinks they have the upper hand, break it.”
“Every time that I deal with your team, it always takes me a minute to remember that Sterling does things differently to our boss.”  You said to the Interpol agents.
The two agents exchanged a look, unsure of what to make from your comment.  Luckily for them, they didn’t need to respond because the door to the conference room opened inward and in the doorway stood Jim Sterling.  The Interpol agent wore a black suit with a red tie and confidence oozed from his every pore.  He was exactly as you remembered him down to his jade green eyes that glinted with a strange fire and his neatly-styled, thinning brown hair.
It felt like your heart skipped a beat and then started to beat at double the speed as you gazed at the shorter man standing next to Sterling.
“He’s in prison.  He’s in prison.  He’s in prison.”  You chanted in your mind.
Sterling smiled thinly in your direction, “May I introduce you to Doctor Frederick Chilton?  I requested him and his expertise for this review all the way from Baltimore.  Doctor Chilton, meet the NCIS team that I spoke to you about.”  Sterling used his hand to gesture to all of you.
“Please come in.”  Doctor Chilton requested, moving to the other side of the door so that you could trickle into the room one-by-one.
“I stand by my previous point.”  Ducky glowered as he stepped into the room.
“Duck.”  Gibbs warned half-heartedly.
After a non-verbal conversation between you and your partner, you walked reluctantly into the room first.  As you walked past Doctor Chilton, you did your best to ignore the unsettling way his eyes followed you.
“He looks and sounds so similar to Barba.  I hope that’s where the similarities end.”
You took the seat next to Abby close to the end of the table and Tim sat down on your other side.
“They took my Caf-Pow and tipped it down the sink in front of me,” Abby hissed to you and Tim venomously.
Once you registered Abby’s words, you switched your gaze to Sterling who moved to sit on the opposite side of the table, next to Doctor Chilton.  Both men wore confident expressions.  There was a soft thud and you twisted around to see that the two agents that had been in front of the door when you arrived now stood in the room with their backs to the door and their hands crossed in front of them.
You barely refrained from shaking your head again.
“How many times is this team going to prove Ducky and Gibbs right?”  You wondered.  “And how many times will we be impacted because of their actions?”
As soon as you thought the word ‘actions,’ your mind flashed back to Barba.  Even now, six weeks after the case with SVU, Barba’s actions never ceased to make anger curl in the pit of your stomach at the way that he had played you, the NCIS team and the SVU squad.  There was another reason for your anger, one you didn’t try to dwell on but occasionally kept you up at night.  After your walk with Barba you had considered him a friend.  His betrayal had cut you deeply.
“And now for the findings.  Doctor Chilton, if you would be s-”
“Hang on.”  Gibbs interrupted, “Are you telling us that you’ve already made your decision?  I thought this was a review.”
“It is.  You were tried in absentia.”  Sterling replied.  On any other person, his British accent may have been attractive and comforting but in this instance, the charm and amusement in Sterling’s voice had disgust forming in your stomach as you attempted to figure out what Sterling gained from his current course of action.
The room went deathly silent.
“I beg your pardon, young man?”
“I did not make this decision lightly.  Out of all the options, I consider this to be the best one.”
Tony coughed repeatedly.  His coughs sounded a lot like he was swearing in Italian.  Ziva examined Sterling with narrowed eyes and a calculating glare.
“I’m sure that we will regain our status as full NCIS agents by working for you in your latest case.”  She announced shrewdly.
The fact that Sterling gave no answer confirmed her words to be true and you felt your blood thundering through your veins at the thought of yet another person manipulating you and your team to achieve their own ends.
“NO WAY IN HELL AM I GOING TO LIE DOWN AND ACCEPT THIS!”
You stood up from your chair, drawing everyone’s attention to you and you unclipped your badge and unholstered your gun.
“Consider this my answer.”  You set your badge and gun down firmly on the table.
Tim and Tony stood up at the same time.  They too placed their guns and shields on the desk, “Good luck accessing the network.”  Tim grinned toothily.
“Connections go a long way when it comes to solving cases.  I wonder how well you will do without mine.”
“No, Tony.  I’m sure that Agent Sterling’s team will encounter no dramas solving cases since they have their own reputable sources.”  Ziva imitated your actions.
Ducky placed his hat on his head, “I have no doubt that you have a qualified ME team on standby.”
“Count me out too.”  Palmer stated.
Bishop and Torres placed their guns and shields down, “I guess we got lucky with the SVU squad.”  Bishop remarked, “There doesn’t seem to be a lot of inter-agency cooperation in this field.”
Unless your eyes were deceiving you, Doctor Chilton’s professional exterior had cracked and he was now panicking.  His gaze darted between Gibbs and Abby as they stood as well and back to you.  Clearly, he was attempting to predict their next moves.  But why was he so interested in you?
Abby pulled out a small, black device and pressed a button on it.  She tipped her head to the side and regarded Sterling with an innocent look, “I hope you brought your own machines with you.  The NCIS ones are no longer online.”
“You’re obstructing an investigation!” One of the agents guarding the door cried, pulling your attention to him as he reached to his belt and pulled out a pair of handcuffs.  He started towards you but Gibbs obstructed his path by stepping in front of you and causing him to fumble the handcuffs.
“Try it.”  Your boss’ voice was low.
The agent swallowed nervously and peered around Gibbs to look at Sterling to determine what his response should be.
“I can detain you here for obstructing my investigation.  You of all people should understand the importance of solving cases.”
“We’re not NCIS agents anymore.”  You retorted.  “We’re civilians who have no knowledge of your case.  If had you provided details of the case and explained why you needed us and our machines and then we resigned, knowing that information, it would be a different story.  But you didn’t.  So we’re not discussing that.”
No one commented on the wry chuckle that escaped your boss.
Taking his cue from you, Tim spoke, “Seeing as our presence is no longer needed here, I suggest we leave the building and enjoy the rest of our day.  It’s so beautiful outside and we really don’t get to experience days like this very much.”
“I am inclined to agree with you, Tim.”  Tony commented theatrically and after a pointed look from your boss, the Interpol agent who had tried to handcuff you quickly hopped out of Gibbs’ path.  Your team trooped towards the door.
Evidently, Ziva couldn’t resist leaving without firing a parting shot, “All the best with your current investigation, Agent Sterling.”  She called over her shoulder.  Before anyone could reply, she grabbed the handle and pulled the door closed, separating your team from the people on the other side.
Tony held up the key to the conference room, “When should we tell them that while the door opens from the inside, it locks from the outside?”
“Never sounds good to me,”  Gibbs replied.
