ok so tinaaos updated and i’m not even in the fandom of dsmp anymore but i was like “maybe i should reread this fic! the plot is good and i’m bored.” AND HOLY. SHIT. I AND FORGOTTEN SO MANY THINGS???? and reading every chapter back to back made me able to put stuff together bettrr even if i had already read them (albeit months apart) BUT ANYWAY I WAKTED TO TALK SOME THERIOYS OUT! that i. have talked to myself inside my head about mutiple times… ANYWAY :D

spoilers for tinaaos all the way up to chapter 43 or whatever agead (i say as i know DAMN WELL!!! i cant rember chapter 42 cause i ahvent reread it yet- anyway)

FIRST OF ALL ! what’s been on my mind the most! tommy’s powers which i’m ? sure have been discussed to NO END BUT ! whatever

his powers are such a mystery ??? like he can do almsot anyhting do to energy manipulation leading to basically controlling everything ? but like how techno had stated his powers are closely tied to his emotions. and how tommy has stated them feeling like more of a buzz and an extension of himself or something along those lines— (that’s two hyphens btw) point is his power is diffrent than what other people (literally just. niki.) explain how their powers feel.

one top of that he has stated before after techno said “imagine having your powers behind a dam for 16 years” (not a qoute literally my memroy most likley wrong) tommy mumbles “more like 10”, now that might be just be late power devolpment that most likely happens since kids get tested 2 throughout their life. but there might be something more? i feel like somewhere there is why tommy killed his parents— though probaly on accident. his powers have been stated to like ? protect him . my theroy is he was getting strangled or soemthing, his powers act up and boom dead parents. though i don’t think that was the first time his powers had been seen since in the more acts of spite a story of him and eryn he seems to have already had them? anywya just seems like something important to note! aso noting he is scared of blood tests maybe that has to deal with all this.

next thing still on his powers (stay with me here i have been binge reading this since the latest chapter and have been brainrotting what his powers are). when techno and niki have their talk about the power suppressers, techno talks about his powers awfully simialr to how tommy explains his! which is intresting (aka a constant buzz). now when i first read this i thought maybe he was just? talking to niki secretly about tommys powers? like if that makes since. but i feel like this may not 100% be the case .

now i have one last thing to mention before moving on to other things— i’m like pretty sure tommys powers start getting upgraded AFTER the warehouse, what could he have been exposed to there? blue. what can blue do? idk man power stuff but if you get blued by 2 diffrent things you get hybrid charcteristics, which tommy does lack! but maybe proably the first stuff that tommy SMASHED! could have effected his powers? AND ON THAT TOPIC ! i think his childhood has something a lot more to do with blue— he states he wasn’t experimented on with it but i feel like blue might be soemthing related to his powers? i feel like it definitely upgraded them at the warehouse and after the power suppression cuffs cut them off , whcih btw why i think his powers have soemthting to do with blue ! maybe soemthing about cancletion or could simply be ? just too much in his system? AGTER TWO WERKS??? anyways i don’t think he will lose his powers for good cuase his powers could be expanded on so much more and i feel like the author wouldn’t just get rid of them? though is so power to them let them girlboss

OK FIANLLY ONTO SOMETHING ELSE :D another topic of intrest for me! buisness bay mainly deo and tommy cause HOLY SHIT. from the little (very. little) interactions we have seen about them I LOVE THEIR DYNAMICS ?! though . mayeb i won’t. i don’t know i’m just so intrested in their charcters . i’m guessing we WILL see deo at some point (maybe we already have) or not literslly the authors desicion. but i feel like we probaly will! but i’m excited to see what tommy’s reaction would be if we finally get to see him— simialr to purpled and punz ? (which i don’t . think is going spectacular cause punz is a bitch boy <3) or like tommy does as he does ? i feel like we might have gotten a hint about him? now this is me GRASPING at straws but when tommy talks about him (not outloud) bunch’s on his seventeenth birthday (before the big boom) it mentions the bushs or something shaking??? it’s soemthing i took notice of first and second time reading through? it just seems odd and i feel like it may be related to deo ? Or maybe a wild goose chase!!!!!

now there is so so so so much more i can talk about (like golden boys, they are everything especially more on purpled cause bestie why do you have marks on your neck TAHT TEO PEOPLE HAVE NOTICED ?!??!(( also just noticing i never even mentioned aimsy BUT STUF!!! I WANT TO READ MORE!!!)) but i forgot everything i kept in my head :D i also. have close to nobody to talk about this to so it’s not written down.. and i can’t really expand on my ideas… this is just my brian running crazy. and i thought my brain would have to go crazy till i rmebered tumblr exists and i could write much words on here. but i think i wrote to much words D: anyway will probaly tlak more about this or maybe not just hope you all enjoy my rambles

Day 3 of posting a ramble or infodump about something I know probably too much about

Today’s topic, via spinner wheel, is my favorite books and literary works! 

I used to be an avid book reader, but now I don’t read many physical books, in favor of internet stories (read: fanfiction). Here’s a list of my favorites of both, with a brief synopsis (without spoilers) and notes on why I liked the story so much!

The Inquisitor’s Tale (Adam Gidwitz) - this is hands-down one of the best books I’ve ever read! The subtitle is “Or, The Three Magical Children and Their Holy Dog” and that sums up the idea nicely. The book centers around these children, being hunted down by the king of France for heresy, in a fictional iteration of medieval France. The story is full of religious themes, and a feeling of family. 

The Ruby Redfort series (Lauren Child) - one of the best mystery/suspense spy series ever; it was initially written for middle-grade children but I think anyone can enjoy them. Centered around a thirteen-year-old genius code-cracker (and her “sidekick” babysitter butler sorry house manager Hitch), each book has a sort of “nerd-topic” driving the plot - think advanced mathematics, organic chemistry, or synesthesia - but the book does a really good job explaining these at a level for almost anyone to understand (in fact, they’re how I got into a variety of subjects!)

Sophie Quire and the Last Storyguard (Jonathan Auxier) - also originally written for children but honestly a great book. Bookmender Sophie Quire is tasked with protecting a special book, the protecting of which sends her on a weird and suspenseful adventure with a boy named Peter Nimble and his cat-horse-man-thing named Sir Tode. I can’t say much about the plot without spoilers so that’s all...

The Golden Phoenix (emiartse) - this one is on Ao3, and it is the best Disney AU of the Dream SMP anyone has ever made. Can’t reveal much without spoilers, but basically Tommy is this story’s version of Rapunzel, and Techno and Wilbur are the “Eugene”s. There’s a lot of incredible worldbuilding in this one, and I absolutely love it. 

Tommyinnit’s Clinic For Supervillains (bonesandthebees) - I know a majority of the fandom has read this or at least heard of this, but it’s for good reason! I think this is one of my favorite hero AUs on Ao3, and it’s just so good. Civilian Tommy stumbles across an injured supervillain in an alley, and against his better judgement uses his own powers to heal him. This sets off a big long chain of events with Tommy, his roommates, the villains, heroes, and vigilantes, and Tommy has to deal with all that :3

17 hours (bonesandthebees, thanotaphobia) - say byebye to the U.S. coasts, because they just got nuked. Wilbur and Tommy set out to meet Techno and Phil in Nowhere, Oklahoma, where emeraldduo has built a doomsday bunker. Roadtrip shenanigans and apocalypse hijinks ensue. 

This Is Not an Act of Spite (Alex_Wants_To_Die, ellabellachicketychella) - Another Tommy-centric hero AU, but a little different - I love the characterizations and how they all interact! It’s not finished yet (still quite a ways to go) but I’m here until it’s done!

the stars and their children (bonesandthebees) - if you can’t tell, I love bee’s writing... basically, space royalty AU where Wilbur and Tommy get pretty much exiled off their planet and have to negotiate with the leaders of the Antarctic Empire for protection (which is not gonna be easy). Also not complete yet but I devour each chapter as it comes hehehe (also I’m one of bee’s named anons, she just doesn’t know, or which one heheee)

Tour En L’Air (CalistaWon) - hands-down, best short fic I’ve ever read. Tubbo is secretly a ballet dancer and by accident lets Techno know. Through a chain of events, Tubbo ends up telling all the others, then streaming teaching some of them some ballet. As a dancer this one made me so happy inside, I love fics like this!

I don’t know about any of the other authors but bee has a tumblr! @bonesandthebees! if you read these fics or any of hers, give her some love!

Immortal Ghost King Au:

Daniel Fenton was crowned as High King Phantom of the Infinite Realms on his 16th birthday. He knew many were opposed to him being crowned at such a young age (he was too), but the Realms had gone too long without a ruler and it was getting restless.

The Realms were sentient to some extent. It can not run itself as it has no form but it chooses a host, a King if you will, to fulfill its wishes. It may have lived on an entire millennia without a ruler, but it was only out of sheer luck and the contributions of countless gods that it had survived. The Infinite Realms needed a King and Danny Phantom was the only contender.

So the people were ignored and their boy king was crowned. However Phantom was young and naive, a child as both a human and a ghost. Even worse, he knew nothing about being a king. But the little godling would learn and learn he did.

Most kings were taught before they were coronated, but Danny had no such privilege. His coronation came and left with the wind. His private lessons overshadowed any thoughts he had left of mortal schooling. And Danny gave up on living a normal human life.

That last part was perhaps the easiest for Danny. Amity Park was already considered too liminal for them to have any “sentience”. The GIW had all but declared war on the Realms with their continuous violent actions upon his people and the land itself.

It wasn’t difficult for Amity to give up their “rights” and “humanity” either. They said good riddance to the world that never helped them, to the heroes that ignored their cries for help. And they bowed to Phantom, declaring him their King, just as he declared them citizens of the Infinite Realms.

He welcomed his liminals with open arms, vowing to protect them from any harm that would come their way, just as he would with any of his other citizens. He gave them a home in the Realms, an island- no a haunt of their own should they wish to truly reject the land of the living, and they accepted. Not many wanted to try their luck against the human government.

But with a God, no, their King on their side, they knew their safety and happiness was all but assured. After all, it was Phantom who protected them even as they turned their own backs at him. It was Phantom who fought against foes that could have erased him from existence.

And of course it was Phantom who would now receive any and all support he could ever want and need should he declare war against the humans of Earth. No, there was no need for people of the Infinite Realms to worry. High King Phantom was a God after all. It was only ever his right to exact divine punishment onto those who opposed and threatened his will. It was not their fault if the humans actively went against his will. No, the humans had no one but themselves to blame for whatever came for them.
