You come home/back to the hotel the day before valentines and there’s red and pink balloons every where, rose petals all over the ground, the lights are dim and soft. Very much a romantic movie scene type thing.

“(Y/N)~” Lucifer calls out to you sweetly, softly as he watches you look around at all the new decor.

When he finally has your attention, he holds his gloved hand out to you, beckoning you to come to him.

You can’t help but smile as you run to hug him. He laughs softly against you before he pops the question, his arms gently squeezing you against him.

“(Y/N)? Will you be my valentine, sweetheart?” And all you can do is laugh and hold him even closer.

“Oh, Luci~ Of course I will!”

OBVIOUSLY this dork makes you a cool ass duck as a gift. It’s one that really relates to you, has something to do with your looks or personality or an inside joke between the two of you. It’s special just for you 🥹

Def wants to take you on a nice date somewhere. Maybe a fancy restaurant, maybe to a bar, maybe a coffee shop for some caffeine and sweets.

Def asks you what you want to do and leaves the choice to you. He’s fine with whatever as long as he can hold your hand and give you kisses every 2 seconds so often.

DEFINITELY picks you up in a fancy ass car with a chauffeur and champagne and everything!

Whatever you decide to do, he’s sooooo distracted the whole time. There’s so much on his mind rn and it’s all different thoughts about you, most of them innocent 😈

I mean how is he supposed to keep his thoughts 100% clean and innocent when you dressed so nicely for your valentines date and you keep laughing extra loud at his jokes and blushing bright red at every compliment he shoots your way.

Of course he dresses to the nines as well. He looks great in white, don’t get me wrong. But him in a deep red suit with pink accents for valentines?!,!!??!,? PLZ 😍

He also loves the way people stare when you two go out together. Sure, it’s not totally conventional for the king of hell, Lucifer himself, to be so deeply in love with someone of your status but that’s what really bonds you two. It’s not some arrangement or a deal made for your soul or anything besides true love and attraction for each other.

He loves and trusts you so much, you’re so different from everyone else who fights for his attention.

And you’re just thanking your lucky stars, wondering how the hell you pulled him. He’s so perfect omfgggg

He is sure to ask you if everything is to your liking, how you’re feeling, what you want to do next. He’s very observant and considerate.

It’s hard to even eat or drink or whatever you’re trying to focus on bc he keeps staring at you and holding your hand and winking at you Everytime you guys make eye contact.

Don’t get me wrong! He’s lovey dovey and super sweet all the time but on this holiday of romance and love, he’s going 1000 times harder!

He would totally take you back to his house to finish off your romantic evening.

Probably puts on some music and takes off his coat to get more comfy.

Offers you a drink and goes to make it himself, adding some cute little garnish to it just to be fancy for you.

Sits on the couch in the living room with you and keeps his hands on you in some way. Touching your thigh, holding your hand, rubbing your arm or your back.

Proceeds to talk your ear off about everything and anything as his hands roam your body subconsciously.

Luci definitely talks a lot, rambles on and on to you all the time. Hope you’re a good listener ;) he doesnt have many other loved ones to talk to you so you get to hear it all

He talks so much he probably often tells you the same story over and over again. You tell him “Yes, Luci. You told me this already.” with a sweet smile at least once a day.

Tries to kiss you but accidentally bumps his head into yours instead.

Now you’re both laughing so loud, blushing so bright red and can’t maintain eye contact for more than a second or two.

He probably cracks a joke to ease the tension in the room too. And even worse, it’s some lame dad joke or a pun lmaoooo

Leans in again, much slower this time. His eyes flutter shut and he purses his lips as he approaches.

His kiss is scorching hot but so so soft.

Maybe you guys have kissed before, maybe not. But this kiss hits different. Maybe it’s the Valentine’s Day sweetness in the air, maybe it’s because he’s so goofy and silly and comfortable with you all the time, maybe it’s the drinks you’ve had tonight, maybe all three?

There’s no good reason for you to be lying in bed like you are. You know this, and yet you can’t fathom doing anything else either. You don’t want to do anything else.

Nothing sounds even remotely pleasing other than lying here, staring at your ceiling or out the window. Every now and then some kids will pass by as they ride bikes and their excited chatter brings a small smile to your face. You remember when you and your friends were younger, when things were simple. 

What ever happened to the easy flow of life - when you could be entertained by simply going outdoors and when you didn’t have a thousand worries and doubts circling your mind?

When - and how - did things change so vastly? Things used to be okay. You didn’t feel like a nuisance to yourself. Now, however, you feel like you can barely take a step forward without falling into three walls you’ve built up yourself.

A soft knock to your door fills the emptiness of your room, pulling you from your mind for a moment. You don’t feel like getting up to answer the door, but you also don’t have the energy to call out to whoever is on the other side.

“You in there, honey?” 

You can feel your lips quirk up slightly at Eddie’s voice. He’s been your closest friend for as long as you’ve known him, having spent a lot of time in the trailer park where he lived when you were younger. 

Your parents had divorced when you were five, and while your mother held custody of you, you preferred being with your dad. He loved having you over too, so you spent a lot of time with him in his trailer as a kid. 

He had become friends with Wayne pretty quickly, though. In fact, him and your father hung out so frequently that Wayne became a second father figure in your life. He’d be just as proud of you when you brought home an A or would be just as excited to hear about your latest field trip as your own father. He even started getting you small gifts for holidays and birthdays. 

Therefore, it made complete sense that you’d be close with Eddie after he moved in with Wayne. Sure, there might have been some tension at first with Eddie being upset he had to move and being jealous that his uncle was so fond of you, but it didn’t last long. 

As Eddie told you years later, after your father left town and you only came to the trailer park for him and Wayne, it was “impossible to dislike you” with the way you’re so kind and easily excitable. It’s “endearing” apparently.

“Y/n?” He softly questions, carefully opening your door to find you curled up in your sheets.

“What’re you doing, sweetheart?”

“Jus’ hanging out.” You mumble, watching him move across the room towards you. You barely move, even as he squished himself onto the bed beside you.

“That so?”

He watches as you nod, not bothering to say anything else as you shift ever so slightly on the bed to get comfier.

“I haven’t heard anything from you yet this weekend, honey. You seemed off these last few days at school, too. I was worried…wanted to see if you were okay.” 

“I’m okay, Eds. Just tired…worn out.”

“Yeah? Well, do you mind if I hang out for a while?”

You shake your head, watching as he smiles softly. Taking off his vest and jacket, you hum lightly as he settles in beside you, wrapping you up tight in his arms.

It’s nice having the weight of his body on you. Not to mention how his scent seems to surround you, bringing you a sense of peace and safety.

The two of you lay like this for a while, just enjoying the silence that the two of you rarely get. Eddie starts playing with your hair at some point, twisting the ends around his fingers as he holds you.

It’s not until he presses a kiss to your shoulder do either of you start a conversation again, and even then it’s him that starts talking.

“Wayne’s been worried about you. Says that you’ve been too quiet whenever you’ve been over, which he’s pointed out hasn’t been too frequent lately.” 

“‘M sorry. Everything’s just been…a lot.” You sigh, staring ahead at your wall as you hold onto his arm that keeps you pressed up against his chest.

“No need to be sorry, sweetheart. We just want to make sure things are okay.”

You nod, understanding him, but not able to iterate what you’ve been thinking and feeling. Not easily, at least.

“Are things okay?”

It takes a moment and a heavy breath, but you murmur out a ‘no,’ tears welling in your eyes with no warning.

“No?”

“No. I’m…I’m really tired, Eds. Feels like…like I can’t do anything b-but lie in bed.”

“I hate it.” You murmur, hot tears falling over your waterline as you take a shaky breath.

“Hey. It��s okay, honey. Shh.” He soothes, trying to calm you down the slightest bit so you can breathe.

He hates seeing you so upset but he has very little idea how to comfort you. He understands that you’re depressed, having been through the same thing shortly after he moved here, but he’s not sure what will help you. 

“I hate it, Eddie. My…my head never stops. It’s just o-one thought after another. There…there’s no break.” 

“I just…I feel so alone.” You whisper, but he hears you.

“Hey. I know it feels it, sweetheart, but you’re not alone. You never were, and never will be.”

“I am never leaving your side, and neither is Wayne. You’re stuck with us, honey, whether you like it or not.” Eddie teases, squeezing you lightly as he presses another kiss to your shoulder.

“I feel empty, Eddie. There’s just, so much, going on in my head that it like-“

“Cancels out?”

“Yeah.” You breathe, body relaxing in his arms as this little weight seems to dissipate. 

“I know. I get it, sweetheart. I do, and I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling this way. It’s not fair, but I’m here.”

“It’s better with you here, Eds.” 

“Yeah?”

“Mhm. You make me feel safe.” You admit, absentmindedly curling in closer to him as he smiles, squeezing you tighter.

“I’m glad, honey. You are safe with me. Always have been and always will be.” He smiles, pulling you even closer until his body practically covers yours, but you’re not complaining in the slightest. 

His weight seems to hold all the floating pieces of your being together, letting them mend and mold back into a whole person as his warmth seeps into your chest. It ignites your heart, letting you feel something other than the cold emptiness that’s filled your chest for the last few weeks. Eddie makes you feel something, and you’re pretty sure that feeling is completeness tinged with love. 

You love him, and you’re not afraid to admit that to yourself. He is your rock, your wings, and your home all in one person.

first, i want to give a huge thank you to the cc & mod creators. the decades challenge would not be possible without your contributions to the sims community. being able to immerse myself into worlds i can only imagine is self-care. being able to imagine, to create, to play and indulge myself in this escape is an act of self-love and i can never begin to express how thankful i am to be able to do that. second, i want to share how much i love & adore my mutuals and friends i've made here. our small interactions, the notifications that remind me i am seen and not forgotten even when i'm not as active as i'd like to be, those who help me with work out the plot knots & who help me overcome my frivolous moments of perfectionism and give me the strength to just fucking post the damned thing! i value all of these equally, big or small and hold them very dear to my heart. i love that this little niche hobby has allowed me to meet so many amazing people and read so many wonderful stories and i promise, i never take that for granted. third is just anyone who creates and shares their art here. seeing everyone's creativity is inspiring for me. there are so many ways to play this damn busted-ass game and it's so cool to see that in real time. it's so easy to get discouraged when every other week there's a new patch, controversy or huge terrifying bug (i have trauma from high school years i stg ;~;) but your creations are what keeps me coming back. and fourth, but certainly not least, to my readers. ever since i was little, writing has always been my favorite hobby. i'm not patient enough for coding or in-depth editing, my hands shake too much for art & my brain does not compute math whatsoever. so writing has been my go to avenue for self expression and creativity. any question, any ask or tag game, that has come my way, fuels my love for these characters and my passion for writing. sometimes the internet feels like shouting into a void but knowing my efforts to craft a cohesive story aren't entirely pointless means so much to me.

I hate how people just don’t seem to understand that humans aren’t supposed to constantly be working like this. Life isn’t supposed to be about work constantly, ur supposed to have fun and enjoy life. I work in a warehouse too and December is always our peak season bc holidays and people buy stuff online, all of November and December I worked 6 days a week (meaning I had only 1 day off) they only made us work 5 days but I always picked up an extra shift. Like yes the paychecks were wonderful and I would have kept doing it in January too but they didn’t have any shifts for me to pick up. But afterwards I realized I worked so much and barely tended to myself and it made me really depressed and burned out. I worked so much I forgot what days of the week it was, I forgot about holidays, I basically lived at work. And I stg if I hear that “pull yourself by the bootstraps” bullshit again im gonna loose my shit. Everyone tells me “work hard for a higher position” but that’s not true, you basically have to know someone or fuck someone for a higher position (Btw I work for a popular company that’s named after the largest rainforest in the world).

But I say all this to say, your brothers should have more compassion towards you instead of constantly badgering you about getting a job. If they wanna you to get a job so bad then it would be helpful if they put in a good work for you at their jobs. Life isn’t just about work, it’s about enjoying the time you have. You’ve already got a lot on your mind and it would be better if they just let you get better. Your doing good bubs, and I hope you feel better soon🫶🏽

working at a warehouse SUCKS. i almost ended up at the place you just mentioned but absolutely no thanks, would hate that. i used to be a line leader at my old job and it wasn't bad! i could do it, i just hated it. the boss and the people (aside from my friends) were awful and mean and the thought of going back sucks ass. even tho i can't even go back rn bc it's a seasonal job and shuts down for a few months at a time :/ so if i go back to work anytime soon then it'll probably be another warehouse job bc it's all i can really do, i have 2+ years experience, and it pays pretty well... but i really just don't want to.

Sandra turns up to take Joe for the holidays, in the process accusing Beppe of planting class A drugs on Jack to get him to lose his job.

Beppe denies it, but when Joe says something like 'Dad why did you get uncle Jack in trouble' Beppe storms off to the zoo with Joe, to the annoyance of both Sandra and his boss.

Exposition central, I wonder if Jack himself is actually in this one or if I need to go back an episode...

End of the previous episode, Joe was asked to choose between Beppe and Sandra and ran across the street to Sandra but got hit by a car in the process.

He's fine but both of them are suitably chastened. Until they're told only one parent can stay the night, and then they start squabbling about that too. Sandra gives up first and leaves. The morning after, Beppe still doesn't trust her alone with him.

Evil? EastEnders doesn’t deal in the moral certitudes of good and evil. Jack fought for his girl, who wanted her kid back. He was just a bit of a creep while doing it. Allegedly he didn’t get with her while she was still with with Beppe, if that matters to anyone

Affects the plot? That’s what he turns up to do bitchessss! Jack’s in town to get Sandra back! And he gets her back! By being a persistent, shouty, whingy ass.

While I’m riding the high of the shirt-ripping still: 4/5. Tempted to knock a point off for that unhinged display in the pub with the American accent, but ultimately I enjoyed this exercise about a million times more than I expected to. Jack isn’t nice. I don’t like him, I don’t want to hang out with him. However, I understand him being known as ‘Jack the lad’ because if I never had to listen to him speak I’d be down for anything.

Anyway. I watched it so you don’t have to: you’re welcome, fandom.

I also unlocked a more than grudging respect for EastEnders actually, but you can’t watch episode after episode with an analytic brain on the whole time: things move SO SLOWLY for episode after episode, characters have the same conversations time and again so that anyone tuning in can catch the drift even if they’ve missed the rest of the storyline. And then EVERYTHING happens all at once with lots of drama. But there’s still something rather heartening about the whole thing.

First, I used the wrong ‘to’ last thing I wrote and those kinds of things reallllly bug me so what the hell. I think I've worked out what was up basically this new crystal I got I put around my neck and I think it was draining me of all of the negative energy I was withholding so that’s why I kept feeling weird and I had a really emotional time. Now I feel like I’ve been resting more I got it out but Jesus the rest of my family have been mental all week I was late for work on Wednesday because my mum was having a mental breakdown so I had to take my sister shopping for her leavers day, feed them and then my mum just cried in my arms for ages I mean I know I’m empathetic but there’s only so much I can endure too until I have to fold I think it’s gonna be alright though. Omg I finished work the other day and I was sitting at the bar having a drink and this guy who was sitting next to me leans over and he goes, ‘so... single?’ And without even a second thought I turn to him and I'm like ‘oh no mate it’s a double.’ It took like three seconds of awkward silence for me to clock what was going on and I swear to god I have never wanted to just melt from existence more, but to be honest aside from it being really embarrassing in the moment I might start using it as my new technique to pie people lmaoooo. I wanna go on holiday soo bad so I'm trying to save up money but it is so hard I'm such a bad impulse buyer I bought one of those portable crosley record players but it didn't;t even work and it cost me so much just to send it back and now I need to email them to get a refund for the postage and it’s just so much effort I just wanted a cute lil record player to take to uni. harry: sitting in comfortable silence

You slid down against the trunk of a tree, fighting back the tears that were threatening to fall. Your knees were tucked in as close to your chest as possible, giving you comfort as the first tear broke free. It glided down your cheek, landing on the corner of your mouth. The world felt as if it was falling in on you, covering you in the weight of your worries. You were climbing up an ever-growing mountain, never able to reach the top but not able to go back down. 

Your revery was broke by an arm on your shoulder. A voice says,

“Are you okay?” You bring your eyes up to see the face connected with the voice, its Harry. More tears fill your eyes at his words. 

“No... not really,” you say, turning away from the boy. You feel him sit down next to you, his hand dropping from your shoulder to your hand. 

“Do you want to talk about it?” he asks.

“No, not really.” 

“Okay.” And with that he settles himself closer next to you, his hand still on yours. His calloused hands intertwine with yours as the two of you settle in a comfortable silence, staring out into the vast horizon. It wasn’t much, but it felt like the top of the mountain was a little closer that it was before.

hermione: handmade gifts

“Here,” Hermione said, holding out a small package. It was expertly wrapped in light green wrapping paper, and couldn’t have been bigger than your palm. 

“Whats this for?” you asked. It wasn’t your birthday, nor any holiday, so there was no special occasion that warranted a gift. 

Hermione shrugged, “No reason.” You smiled as you started to delicately unwrap the gift. Beneath the layers of green is a small white box, not necessarily fancy. You chanced a glance at Hermione, who was beaming at you, obviously very antsy for you to open the box. 

You slowly took the lid off, revealing a sliver necklace. And at the center, dangling from the chain, a sliver ring. And encased in that ring was a bright blue flower. 

Your jaw dropped, “It looks just like the flowers we saw that i loved so much on our walk the other day,” you said, beaming up at Hermione. 

“It is. I took it from the garden,” she said, barely containing her smile. your jaw dropped even more,

“You made this yourself?!” She nodded, and before she was able to continue about how she did it, you pulled her into a bone breaking hug.  

ginny: knowing exactly what makes you feel better

You opened the door to your flat, letting the warmth wash over you. You were drenched to the bone, your clothes sticking you your sides, and your makeup running down your face. 

“Hello y/n!” Ginny called from the kitchen. When you didn’t respond she walked out, gasping a bit at your form. 

“No money for a cab,” you said in explanation. Her eyes widened.

“You walked all the way home from work?!” she said, her jaw dropping. Slowly nodding, you started to walk over to her. A tear falls down your face, mixing in with the rain drops still covering your skin. 

“Its been a terrible day Ginny,” you said quietly. 

“Oh you poor thing,” she said, cupping your face. “Here, you go change. I’ll grab the snacks. Theres a new episode of Criminal Minds out.” Without waiting for a response she bustled off to the kitchen, leaving you behind smiling like a fool. 

draco: tearing up when you cry

Your back grew cold against the damp grass. You had no idea how long you had been laying next to the Black Lake. Tucked away in a corner of the grounds where very few people tread. Your toes were wet from the movement of the lake, slowly creeping up your feet the longer you stayed. 

You didn’t notice the blonde boy walking up to you until he lay down next to you, his fingers brushing against yours. 

“What do you want Draco,” you asked, your voice cracking slightly. 

“Just wanted to see how you’re doing,” he replied.

“I’m fine... now can you leave.” You didn’t want him to see you break down. You were constantly so close, but you kept it together. You just didn’t want him to be there when you couldn’t anymore.

He sat up, “No. How are you really.”

It was the way that he asked you that filled your eyes with tears. Gentle and caring. Showing he wasn’t just there for pity, but because he actually cared.

The tears streamed down your face, slowly breaking away your fake exterior. Showing the real you, the broken you, to the one person you didn’t want to see it. A sob broke free from your lips. A sob that had been sitting there for 3 years, just waiting to be released. 

You slowly brought your head up to look at Draco Malfoy. Bracing yourself for the look of disgust on his face or his signature sneer. But instead you were faced with his piercing silver-blue eyes, filled with tears.  

fred: memorizing your order

Fred and you walked into the familiar coffee shop hand in hand. The aroma wafting off of the pastries and drinks filled your nose, imminently making you feel at home. 

“Here you go grab a table. I’ll get our food,” Fred says, snapping you out of your trance. Nodding, you take a table right next to the window. The sun rays beam through it, casting light on the dust drifting through the air. The little place was just as perfect as the countless times you had been before. 

You sat in the booth for about five minutes, staring out of the window at the busy people walking past, when Fred finally sat down in front of you. He is ladened with food and drinks and your eyes scan the pile with longing. 

“Here you go, vanilla iced chai latte, turkey sandwich, and a brownie,” Fred recites, as he pushes said things in front of you. A smile forms on your lips as he speaks. 

“What?” he questions, “Did I get it wrong?” 

“No Fred, you got it exactly right.” You placed your hand over his. 

george: meeting your eye when something stupid happens

“So, what you’re saying is, we wont be using any magic until our N.E.W.Ts?” you asked, a disbelieving look on your face. The toad-like woman sauntered over to you, a fake girlish smile plastered on her face. The pink bow she was wearing protruded from her head like a fungi. 

“Yes Miss Y/l/n. Is there an issue?” she simpered as she drew up next to your desk. Your face morphed into an even more disbelieving expression as you stared into her beady eyes. Out of instinct you broke eye contact and scanned the room for a familiar pair of blue ones. 

Georges eyes met with yours. The two of you exchanged looks of utter bewilderment at the stupidness of this predicament. He mouthed the words,‘Yes Miss Y/l/n. Is there an issue?’ in mock strictness, raising a wagging finger at you. A smile broke out on your face and you turned back toProfessor Umbridge, with a new sense of power, saying,

“Yes actually, there is.”
