#ria.txt #i spoiled myself so at first i was like 'this is bonkers wtf are they doing in those last few chapters?????' #but then it was like. yeah. i see #love those ch when it's just clearly putting the squad into Situations #also. izutsumi #what i really liked was how tightly the protagonist and the deuteragonist were wound up in the overall themes #the plot the themes the conflict the characters it was very neatly connected #hence i am also now accidentally invested in whatever going on between laios and marcille #not just platonic not romantic not enemies i just think they work well tgt and deeply care for each other its great watching them develop #it's the leader + most trusted advisor / anxious girlfailure + the annoying freak she's somehow attached to vibes #haha that rabbit chapter with marcille. hahha i was like what the fuck man. it was funny and then boom whump [tears streaming down my face] #those shapeshifter chs were sooo much fun esp seeing other chara's perceptions of each other. stealing that #the changeling ones were great too elf senshi is the fucking funniest he looks sooooooo unserious #marcille's evolving perception with death starting with saving falin and saving the squad and her nightmares of outliving everyone- #-and her dad and her 'temper tantrum' and UGH when at the end she said she was fine with falin not coming back.... new sketchbook who this

what it says in the tin, got a new sketchbook today :) it's thicker and rougher paper than what i usually use which is slightly annoying because it tends to smudge a lot more and has a rougher look, but it's still good paper and i find it nice to draw on!!

every so often i fall back into my DDLC phase and start rewatching a bunch of analysis videos on the characters. they're like my comfort background noise to listen to. Monika's one of my favourite characters and i find her fun to draw!!

Splatoon was, like, a childhood hyperfixation of mine, mainly because the character designs and the music go hard. like, they literally please the autism so much, it's like a stim just looking at the characters and listening to the soundtrack!!! the design of the Inkling girl was always my favourite as a kid because look at her! she's so cool looking!! i love all the colours and i love the texture of the characters' hair and their ears literally make me so happy and they are SO fun to draw. i would chew on an octoling's hair like a dog toy if i could it looks so chewable

Using the 0.0004% free time I still have these days to come up w/ ideas for the 9 Days of Solomon Birthday Week that Ivy came up with

There's no way I'm gonna be able to write something for all 9 days (I'm barely managing to scrape through writing a single chapter of my Priest! Satan AU once a week sob)

So I want to try doing photography instead, with my Solomon cosplay. I've written down a few ideas so far but unfortunately quite a few of the prompts (like "snow") are gonna rely on completely external factors. Like I know this is Canada but whether or not we'll actually have snow or not in early December is a complete crapshoot 😭 thanks climate change

I still want to try anyway though because I think cosplay photos would be a really cool thing to do? It's something you don't see nearly as often as traditional fanart or fanfic so I want to make it happen if I can ☆

Tbh Dirge of Cerberus' actual gameplay isn't as bad as I was expecting it to be, like I'm almost 4 missions in and I still haven't died, but the gameplay getting interrupted every 5 minutes by some kind of micro cutscene is driving me up the wall. Did they really have to stop the action just to show a common model NPC walking out of scene. Was that 100% necessary

I feel like it's not even worth it to even attempt to discuss Three Houses with Edelstans any more. They're not even talking about Fire Emblem 16 any more but rather some combination of Treehouse's and their own fanfiction.

I'd say everything boils down to what you expect from a discussion, sometimes I don't reply because I'm lazy and everything's been said, and some other times, when an edelstan reblogs or sometimes comment on one of my post, I'm just considering what will be the probable outcome, and if I have enough time to waste with it.

Granted, I reconsidered Claude's actions in Sreng thanks to someone pointing it out, so I guess that counts as a positive interaction?

But whenever the discussion grows around "grooming" "State of Quo" "Crusts" I know it's usually a sign that whatever will follow isn't worth both time and effort. Then some other signs are the tone of the post, the aggressivity and whetever or not the person posting it has set as their goal to "convert" you to their side, or just to be agressive against what they perceive as "an enemy".

Like, seriously, it's fandom, go argue your headcanons with someone else by writing a fic, instead of sharing your salt with people who don't really need the sodium intake.

saw a video about 2 player ttrpgs and one of them was like "this one's about a pretend marriage" and i was like oh? and i looked it up on itch (eyes on the prize, fyi) and it's 50% as of right now and i was like OH? and i bought it immediately & ive read most of it and i am a big fan. and i KNOW that i have friends who would have fun playing it (it's a 2 player or 4 player game; the 4 player variant has 2 fake couples) but asking them is going to be so cringe. yeah we're gonna make up people and pretend to be them and then pretend to pretend to get married and the characters when they start their pretending they're gonna be like "oh we don't have any romantic feelings towards each other this is strictly plot" but then (get this) they will start to develop real feelings for each other. and we're gonna act it out together and pretend to be them but don't worry! we have no romantic feelings towards one another. this is strictly plot. when WE (irl) pretend to be in love it's actually platonic, unlike the people who we are pretending to be to each other. so do you have like 2-5 hours you wanna dedicate to that next week

and the worst part is that's 100% what i want. like i have roleplayed romance before with friends it is literally not a big deal because the whole point of roleplay is that the character ISN'T you. but with a fake relationship the crushing weight of dramatic irony hovers behind me
