So! I finally saw the fnaf movie! And I’ve got many thoughts about it!!! Here’s my review and random reactions and thoughts about it. Spoilers for the movie under the cut. Proceed with caution!

I thought it was really good! Definitely wasn’t perfect but I had a lot of fun watching it! My mom was with me, and she doesn’t really know anything about fnaf but she also enjoyed it. I didn’t really get scared at any point during the movie (I was more scared by the horror trailers they played before it started haha), but that’s fine! Maybe I’m just immune to jumpscares.

The effects!!! All the animatronics looked so good in motion, and the sound design made them feel even more real. Every heavy metallic movement or blink of an eye, it was just perfect.

There are sooooo many Easter Eggs! Sparky the dog! Ella from the books as a prototype circus baby spring lock suit!

The soundtrack slapped, especially the opening credits. Blumhouse was cooking in the music department fr 🔥🔥🔥

BLANKET FORT SCENE! EVERYONE CHILLING TOGETHER ON THE FLOOR AND BEING FRIENDS! I wish they could’ve stayed friends like that, it was my favorite scene of the whole movie and was so sweet

I heard everyone say there was a matpat cameo but I didn’t see it? Either I somehow missed it or the theater cut the scene or something? I SWEAR I didn’t see this man or hear him say his iconic line. I did have to get up at one point to use the bathroom really quick, so many that’s when I missed it.

Coryxkenshins cameo! I love that guy, he did really good for his quick scenes! I think they should make him a reoccurring character actually. Have him run over springtrap in the next movie.

Also the aunt character was evil. But like, comically evil. She hires people to break into the restaurant to make Mike look bad so she can get custody of Abby and get the government paychecks for it. And she got murdered in Mikes house by Golden Freddy, and they never resolve that??? Last we see her she’s lying dead on the floor and then the last scene with Mike and Abby they’re happily eating spaghetti at home like their aunt wasn’t murdered in the living room lmao. And we know Vanessa couldn’t have covered for them because she’s in a coma soooooooo. 🤷‍♀️

The coolest kill was when Freddy bit that girl in half and her bottom half fell onto the floor like DANG! The rest of the kills they either cut away from or don’t really show detail, which I thing is a weak point. Next movie I think they should push it a little bit further, but I understand why they shot it the way they did.

Is this a good time to admit that I’m kinda down bad for Josh Hutcherson in this thing hhahghshdh 😳🫣 boy stopping looking at me with them big sad doe eyes

Matthew Lillard was also serving cunt in this, even though he got 10 minutes of screen time 😔 he gave it his all. Hopefully if we get a sequel he gets to do Springtrap stuff.

Mike during this whole movie be like: 😴. I’m surprised it took so long for the band to attack him in real life (dream sequences don’t count) when in literally every other scene he’s popping pills and taking naps. He naps every few scenes and yet looks like he hasn’t had a good nights rest in 30 years 😭

So… Garret isn’t one of the spirits? I would’ve thought he was Golden Freddy but he’s not…. Maybe in this universe Garret is the puppet? There was a hidden message in the end credits that says COME FIND ME and the puppet music box is playing. That seems to be what theyre trying to set up for a potential sequel, but…. That’d make me a little sad tbh, this is Charlie erasure ;-; Also can we please have Henry Emily do something for once in this franchise, WHERE is this man.

The finale was cool! When Spring Bonnie walked in everyone was like “YESSS!!!” And after he started talking my mom was like “😯 I think I know who it is!”

William smacked Mike so hard he did a damn triple flip through the air and got his ass knocked out cold. Mans him so hard that it probably sent him back to the bite of 83 💀💀💀

So. The big thing. No Michael Afton in the movie. In fact, Vanessa is William’s only child.

Honestly I’m kinda down for the strange role swap that this universe has going on. I don’t think anyone expected Vanessa to be Williams daughter, but that was cool, and it gives a little insight as to how William managed to get away with this for so long. He’s literally got a kid in the police force keeping tabs on Freddys and covering his tracks for him. Now it suddenly makes sense why in the trailers Vanessa seems so knowledgeable about the animatronics and already knows they’re possessed.

Tbh I had a random thought. If Vanessa gets to take over Mikes role in this world as Williams kid, then Mike should get to have his own “reluctant follower” villain arc. Put that man in a rabbit costume. It’s only fair. Equality 😤 ✊

And with those final thoughts…. Yeah! I’d say the movie was a solid 8.5/10 for me, I’ll probably go see it again with friends when they get off work this weekend! The critics are wrong yet again, it’s a perfectly enjoyable movie and the fans will love it.

So now we know that papyrus is aware of the ghost, but what does he think of each of them? (Doesn't need to be every single one but maybe just the ones he most often heard about? Tho i wouldn't mind all of em either)

Maybe why dream and killer are fond of him, and what do the others think?

(im sorry i havent answered this, ive just been so drained and i just dont have the mental or physical energy to draw for it, but the guilt has been eating me alive, so im gonna write this out, and i might edit it to add art after if i can)

lets work in areas, we'll start with the park ghosts, and then year order, then ill give paps answers as to how he feels about them at the end

Nightmare - He admires Papyrus's enthusiasm, and can see how he very clearly cares about his brother very strongly, and admires how close they are as siblings, something he wishes he had with dream. He also sees how him and dream similar, at least, how he remembers dream to be.

Cross - He sees the hidden strength that others do not in him, but also sees his peaceful nature within. Always sees the good in everyone, believing that they can be the best version of themself if they try, something he wishes he could have himself.

Dust - is kinda scared of him, but once he saw that he wasn't like his brother, he warmed up to him, wishing his brother was like him, someone who cared, and when sans told paps about this, paps offered to be his new brother, dust smiled for the fist time in a long while when he got the news

Horror - He wants so desperately to hug paps, and thank him for everything he has and still does for sans and their makeshift family. When paps learned of Horrors past, he told sans to bring him some of the spaghetti he was making, and leave it as an offering for him to have. Horror cried when he got the food. Paps insists that even when he doesnt go with sans to see them, that he take food for him, and Horror is so honoured

Killer - He sees Paps as the brother he never had. Killer didnt have any siblings, the only one i believe - minus blue who im working on behind the scenes - and in the ghost family, he's the youngest, he kinda sees paps as his baby brother, but doesnt want to share that cus he feels like he'd be stealing him from his real brother if he did, which is silly, paps has enough love for everyone.

Hospital

Dream - he relates to paps, and sees his younger self in his carefree attitude. He sees the adult Paps is, still so hopeful about the world, and wishes he still thought that way.

Geno - doesnt really interact with him much, he likes him, but theyre not very close. Genos kinda a mum friend, and sees paps as someone in the group of people he cares for, but they dont spend much time together

Town

Ink - routinely forgets of paps existence, when he's reintroduced, they get along great, and tend to hype each other up when talking about topics theyre interested in, very eager to hear about the others interests

Lust - while first wary, lust if very comfortable with him now. lust tends to be cautious with everyone he meets for the first time, due to his past, but he sees that paps is a good person, and sees him as what everyone should be, a shoulder to cry on, and a friend to lift your spirits ;)

Error - He doesnt really care about paps, he doesnt really care about anyone, but sometimes paps will offer him some wool or some knitting needles, and is now in his good books, though he'll refuse to admit it

paps :

Nightmare - he tries to help him see that he doesnt need to be so uptight all the time, everyone around him loves him, he doesnt always need to be "perfect," hes perfect to them all the same

Cross - He thinks Cross is so cool! While obviously paps is very cool, sometimes deep down he doesnt really believe it, but Cross really is! he hopes one day he will be just as brave and cools as him!

Dust - He feels really bad for him, he just want to give him a big hug, but he cant, so he'll make do with silent one sided comfort. he understands what its like for there to be so much noise in your head, that sometimes you want to scream, sometimes all you need is a hand to.... not hold

Horror - He's very glad that such a great baker likes his cooking! sometimes, he'll ask horror for new recipes, or tips to try, and together they run a small cooking blog online, stating that they have and old family cook book, and want the world to have access to those recipes, with sans typing it up for them - Its Ghost written ;)

Killer - He's very energetic! If he was visible to him, he'd love to show off cool magic attacks or have a friendly spar with him! They'd get along like a house on fire - just dont tell Nightmare that

Dream - Hes so sad to see the light squashed out of someone once a beacon of joy, and he hopes that with a few more people to speak to, and someone to show him the world can be good, that spark will rekindle - but maybe dont word it like that

Geno - He's very nice! Very mature, if a little morbid, he want to get closer to him, maybe he just needs to visit a little more!

Ink - Hes very cool! A very talented artist, and he like all papyrus's puzzles! sometimes they'll talk for hours about new ideas

Lust - he doesnt understand why lust wont show himself to him, that what his power is, right? But he respects that maybe he just doent want to! thats okay, he cant see the other ghosts either, if lust wants space to be happy, he can give him that

Error - He sees him as sort of like a cat, antisocial, but will begrudgingly tolerate your presence, one day he'll get him to like him! he refuses to give up!

Now, you have to remember, Papyrus cant see the ghosts, and while he can kinda feel where they are, he cant hear them (with the exception of horror, but thats not his voice) so -

Imagine Sans sitting in the corner translating everything for paps to hear FOR. EVERY. CONVERSATION.

EVERYONE????? ok i will just go thru my select page + a few bonus ones

🍳 - cooking

button - she can make a mean lasagna. outside of that, she's pretty average. she typically likes to make big batch meals as meal prep and eat the same thing for a week. outside of her repertoire of recipes shes pretty useless in the kitchen. i think she could impress someone who didn't cook, though. if she ever cooked for people she might even get a "good lasgana, button!" but, uh, will that ever happen? :/

jc - he can make cereal :)

rilakk - rilakk is pretty good at cooking! they are very thoughtful about the food they intake because of the amount of time they spend asleep. theyre good at cooking very hearty, filling foods! i think their go-to is probably curry and stir-frys, cuz they're flexible but you can build a lot of flavor into them.

spyke - you know how it is with spaghetti

lauren - ehhhh he can get around a kitchen, but he never really cared enough to be really good at cooking. the sort of buy pre-marinated meat and throw it in the oven, but hes more likely to go out. he likes good food! i think hes probably tried to make some recipes at home, like if he found a cool planet-specific ingredient and looked something up, but quickly became demotivated because its never as good as just ordering it out, and lauren likes good food!

ceefor - its a good thing shes rich and people cook for her.

fledge - she could probably follow simple recipes, but not much outside of that. she grew up eating from Fleet cafeterias so she never had a reason to learn. shes picked up some skills since living with arunae but she still wouldnt feel super confident cooking alone.

leathy - he doesnt like cooking enough to do it for himself, but hes very capable of following a recipe. he could make a decent meal for someone if they asked, or if he thought they'd like it :)

gazijo - this man can COOK!!! he can break down fresh meat and make u fucking ANYYYTHINNNGG and it will be so so so so good. he prefers to cook for others rather than eat out or have people cook for him cuz he likes to know where his food comes from and what went into it. since he started hunting fauna less hes gotten more into vegetarian recipes too! catch him finding a cool edible mushroom and incorporating it into something for dinner. dont ask him to bake tho.

ionyll - i think her cooking ability starts and ends at box mac n cheese. anyone want chipotle?

pj - pretty decent! hes got a couple go-to dishes. generally prefers to dress up a bowl of ramen or premade tortellini n stuff like that. nothing super involved but he can develop a decent flavor profile.

alaise - her cooking is mid (can follow recipes). i think for herself, if shes not eating out, she'd default to sandwiches / salads / other raw foods. her baking is more where she shines!!! really likes making muffins and cupcakes in particular.

iggy - he has not touched his stove since he moved in. he is eating canned chickpeas plain. hes eating deli ham. maybe put some cheese in there if he's feeling fancy. if it doesnt come together prepared in a package then its not being eaten together. closet he gets to cooking is microwave meals

palaia - capable of following recipes! she never really needed to learn to cook, but she would prepare something for herself if what her sect was offering didnt interest her that way. she does prefer more raw foods, though. salads and the like.

alaska - capable of following more complex recipes, and has a few good ones memorized. capable of impressing people, honestly. he likes to cook himself nice things, though he does prefer to cook for others.

stasia - i dont think shes ever cooked.

trixis - she can cook!!! i think she prefers things that have some of the prep done but she'll make something if shes really in the mood for it. she prefers to make something simple and hearty at home rather than eat out.

aether - roasted vegetables + pasta my beloved. shes trying her best

mim - he can make a good smoothie :) it'd be easier if he had a blender, though...

m0g0 - she can follow a recipe to the letter. exactly. not beyond that. any kitchen common sense is lost on her.

hmmm truth be told i've always been much more of a zoo person than an aquarium person, but if i had to pick it would definitely be the sea turtles. i think theyre so neat

27. what’s your favorite or go-to outfit?

probably just a t shirt and shorts! i have lots of fun graphic t shirts that i love wearing around, ranging from nintendo t shirts to band t shirts. they all feel very me and i feel super comfortable in them. when it's colder i usually switch those out for a crewneck or hoodie!

29. preferred pasta noodle?

something like spaghetti or linguine. something that i can slather in sauce and just go slorp

and orientation went good!!! today was only the first day but i feel like today i was feeling very social. yesterday there was a whole get-together for people in the dorms and that was a bit overwhelming but somehow today i found it way easier to just walk around and talk to random people! i met some really cool people today that i vibed with, some people in my major, some people in my apartment building, and i even found another queer person!! all in all it was a great day (albeit really exhausting.) my roommate is making pancakes rn and i might grab some ice cream in a little while and then i'll probably hit the hay. and then onto another day of orientation!! :D

im absolutely obsessed with this halloween asmr video. hes not a great actor but god he can commit to a bit.

in fact theres a billion videos where petes just so incredibly dedicated to not breaking during a bit, theres this promo vid which i think about a lot and also the pete&rick podcast with his little bit about thanksgiving spaghetti. also the worlds most in depth fall out boy interview

the puppy interview is really cute because patricks being chill with 1 pitbull puppy and petes losing his goddamn mind going insane with all the other puppies. he looked so excited.

pete has some pretty intense and moving black nationalist poetry!! i personally try to only share it with black fans, in part because its from before fall out boy but mostly because i wanna make sure the conversation surrounding it doesnt ignore the fact that its About Being Black. it really shows off his way with words imo.

in the past few years fall out boy has done a fair few kids show appearances and according to pete its because he likes being involved in stuff his kids like! despite personally not liking the show itself i think the best one was probably the teen titans go special they were in. it was hilarious, i cant deny that.

i like how he treats fans. like all the guys are very aware they r just some dudes but yk theyre each different people and it seems like petes aware meeting him is a really big deal so hes usually pretty easy going about it, i can think of a couple filmed meet ups (such as in the arcade interview) where hes just acting exactly how i think you would if you were a small local act. just like "hey, nice to meet you, are you seeing us later" type of thing.

hes legit done some pretty cool activism! hes worked with mental health campaigns, as ive mentioned campaigned against prop 8, fall out boy as a band have done some PSAs and stuff, and its just nice that he wanted fame to do good things and then actually did good things. weve moved past the era of "we need a famous spokesperson to do ads for our nonprofit asap" but even then, hes been openly political on social media prior to leaving twitter.

in fact heres a video from a small music journalism outlet that actually asked some pretty good questions where he answered with some like, intro to prison abolition ideas

Pretend bennets cooking isnt much of a secret for a minute thx

Bennett has an Instagram but its not the kind u think it is

Its a cooking/food instagram

He posts pictures of the food he makes

The cover picture is the actual food, then in the slides after it he posts random pictures of the making process

And he sticks to that style of posting religiously

Posts a couple times per month, only when he thinks his dish is good enough

All of his pictures are perfectly shot and focused and everything

The making process usually consists of pictures of his used bowls stacked in the sink, his knives scattered on the counter, his food sizzling in his pan/being stirred, food sitting in the oven, or his chopped vegetables waiting to be cooked

But unlike his food, his captions are BLAND

Theyre just

(Insert a sentence about his cooking, usually the name of the dish and his opinion on how it turned out)

(Insert recipe under the first sentence)

(Insert hashtags)

Example:

Gets around 600 likes on average

50% are actual foodies and chefs who like his food

30% are people who find him hot and spam his comments with stuff about his looks (which he sees but doesnt acknowledge because he doesnt know what to say)

One time he decided for his making process he would post a picture of himself with some chopped onions

Ever since then he’s been flooded with thirst comments

The other 20% are his friends or other connections hes made

He only properly responds to comments with constructive criticism or detailed feedback

Commenter who actually cares about his cooking: “oh wow i really like the way you (insert professional cooking terminology). Although the plating was slightly messy to me, i think it still came out really great. Good job!”

To which bennett responds with something like “I do agree, i could have plated it a little better because i rushed to finish, but ill make sure not to do that next time. Thank you for the feedback.” *likes and pins comment*

ALSO SAD HORUS IS SO . i have like conflicting thoughts on horus sadness because he went super fast from “intergalactic equivalent of a trust fund kid” to “I HATE MY DAD” and false gods, as much as i like graham mcneill novels, was underwhelming as hell. but sad horus is so good

my favourite flavors of sad horus are “horus being way more angry at the emperor than he realizes” bc # mood (YOU KNOW THAT RELATABLE LIKE... talking about someone whos not in your life anymore years later and you go “HOLY FUCK THAT WAS SO FUCKED UP” and you just get yourself mad/worked up) AND “post-molech horus finally truly for good realizing he is in too deep and hes been consumed so much by chaos that hes like kind of permanently stuck in this half-disconnected-from-reality state and mostly just going on autopilot and then when hes fully in control chaos makes him moodswingy and cruel and theres something inside him screaming and basically its fucked up”

Oh boy this is gonna be a long one, strap right in

Serendipity

🌼 Who are this characters friends and found family? How did they meet, how long have they been friends for, could they ever be something more than just friends? What do they look for in a friend or a romantic partner?

Serendipity has a pretty alright relationship with her family, not perfect but it’s functional and her mom has made it clear that she cares about her daughter’s mental health and general wellbeing, her dad not quite as much but he’s not the worst. She’s got a younger brother as well named Kayden, and he’s cool, for as much as he is a little dweeb sometimes. She also has Ayana of course, who is the one person she can talk on a personal level to when it comes to her job as Good Karma. For now... let’s just say Serendipity wants to keep her identity of Good Karma away from her family, but with Ayana it’s completely fine to talk about both the goods and the bads of that job.

Ayana and Serendipity met in kind of an odd way, while Serendipity was on somewhat of a mission to check out a pretty haunted and weird area, and Ayana just happened to be hanging around there because she was also interested in the demons hanging there. After awhile, they just talked more to one another, and became better friends over time! As for the time frame they’re together in, it is ever changing in terms of their story but I can honestly say they stay friends for quite awhile, they meet about a month after Serendipity becomes Good Karma as well.

As for if they’d be more than friends well... Serendipity definitely harbors some unsaid feelings for Ayana. She’s never really had a friend who cared about her well-being or just her as a person, so it takes her such a long time to come to terms that she likes Ayana more than just a friend. She’s not 100% dense, she definitely ponders if her feelings are at all romantic sometimes, but it just takes her a few months, maybe a year or so to think about it, yknow? But Ayana is definitely the kind of partner she needs, romantic or not. Both because they bond so well, but also because she tends to be able to help her get down to a good level if she’s angry or anxious, and the same is pretty much mutual with how Serendipity helps Ayana, though in some separate ways. Theyre a good duo.

🍄 What are your OCs favourite snacks? Their favourite comfort food which always cheers them up when they’re down? Favourite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they any good in the kitchen?

OhHOHOHOHOH. This is such a good question because Serendipity loves food, she loves baking, and cooking as well. Baking is the one thing she thinks she’s really good at, even if she fails at like making cookies she doesn’t get down on herself, she’s really glad that she now knows better, there might’ve been something she missed and she’s gonna do better next time. Plus the process of putting ingredient together is pretty relaxing for her. Cooking is good too, less relaxing but hey you can do whatever with it. Put a shit ton of salt and pepper in that baby and it’s good(now that I think about it. She probably has awful taste skfgsjfgsj).

But in all honesty her favorite foods are penne pasta spaghetti and lemon poppyseed muffins. She loses her shit over those two specific foods.

Veron

🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

GOD THIS ONE IS HARD SJFGDH. For starters it hasn’t been too hard for Veron to perceive how Lynnet trusts them, like especially before they left they felt really confident in themselves because they knew when she had a moment to check up on them, she would hear them out on something even if it was really small. That just made them feel all the more better about making a presence among their crew, something they kinda struggled with before they joined the crew itself.

With the party, they were originally only a little more trusting of Quill since they were both sailors but they weren’t sure how Setac and Dedan would feel about them, but as time went by and the same thing happened with their crew, where they were just accepted in this ragtag group, and also just seeing how they fared on caring about each other, it just kinda makes them kinda emotional and happy that the group is as supportive of them as they are. If there was anything else in the world that reaches a similar feeling for them that brings happiness for them, it’s definitely the sound of rain or the ocean, or being able to just talk to other people about their interests.

🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?

Oh interesting one.... Veron has a particular way of trying to show they care without words, and that’s appealing to the better interests of the person they are trying to demonstrate their level of care to. It can either be through being quiet while being with them, showing them things they enjoy to hopefully gather a connection with them on interests, or fighting alongside them and trying to make sure the other person is safe and sound throughout it all(if the person they cares about gets attacked they’ll try to rush over if they can, etc.). And even though they aren’t that great with touch, they make it clear that if they care about someone they don’t mind giving a hug if needed, and the other person wants it enough. But more often than not, they reach out with words, the idea of reaching out without words is still a rather new one, and while they think they’ve got a long ways to go in terms of developing care without words, I think they’re doing pretty good right now, trying the things they do.

🌸 What are some of their favourite things and why? List as many as you can think of!

Oh gosh!! March has a lot of interests, where do I even start. One of the most obvious ones is anime, she grew up on Sailor Moon and a lot of Magical Girl related media’s as she grew up, and now it’s just become a large part of her life now that she has so many plushies from said media’s and she’ll just ramble about those things on and on to people like August.

She also likes a good relaxing sim type game, Animal Crossing New Leaf or Stardew Valley or something akin to those she’s probably packed at least 1000 hours each into each, she LOVES those games/type of game to death.

Another thing she appreciates baking a lot as well, it’s a very common activity for her and August to get together to make something like ice cream, cookies, cake, or whatever since she grew up in a household that had a lot of bakers recipes passed into the family, and since then its been the one thing she can share with her friends that she is always glad to share.

Collecting cool and pretty looking rocks is one other she’s always loved, bring her to a mueseum and she practically loses her mind in the gift shop. Stim toys are also really exciting to collect as well.

Okay now that I know I won’t be clogging people’s dashes buckle the fuck in my dude and I should stress that I literally would not be talking about this as much as I will be if I didn’t genuinely enjoy the show. I’m gonna go season by season and just Rant

S1 has the serpentine as the bbeg and like, as far as villains go they’re p lit. They’re early enough that they haven’t been done to hell, things are fresh, the characters and dynamics are being fleshed out, and all in all s1 is a pretty solid season. There’s some fuckery that gets brought up re: how the FUCK aging works and what the actual timeline of Ninjago is and how Wu and Garmadon fit into that timeline, fuckery that LITERALLY NEVER GETS RESOLVED IN A SATISFYING WAY BC ITS REVEALED IN A LATER SEASON (s8, dw we’ll get there lmao) THAT THE ONLY REASON THE FIRST SPINJITSU MASTER, WU, AND GARMADON LIVED AS LONG AS THEY DID IS CUZ THEYRE BASICALLY DEMIGODS AND ITS IMPLIED THAT LLOYD WILL ALSO LIVE FOR A LONG ASS TIME WHICH MEANS ONE DAY HES GONNA OUTLIVE ALL HIS FRIENDS AND EVERYONE HE EVER LOVED WHICH IS A FUN THING TO THINK ABOUT AT NIGHT But anyway I digress, s1 also coincidentally introduces Lloyd (he wasn’t in the pilot episodes that set up the rest of the series) and the existence of Evil Dad Garmadon.

S2 is where Garmadon starts acting a lot more Evil and a lot less Dad. He’s the main antagonist for that season, and I actually read somewhere that the show was originally slated to end after s2 which high key explains the fuckery of literally every single season after this lmaooooo. Much like s1, I really can’t find much to complain about, the first two seasons are pretty decent as far as I can remember

Season. Fucking. Three. Where the fuck do I start??? I hate season three for entirely personal reasons revolving around the STUPID GODDAMN ROMANCE WRITING. okay lemme back up and explain a thing first so, Jay is dating Nya and they’re fine, they’re going steady, aND THEN????? THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON INTRODUCES BULLSHIT LOVE TRIANGLE FUCKERY FOR ZERO GODDAMN REASON, BITCH I HATE LOVE TRIANGLES AND I HATE THEM EVEN MORE WHEN THEYRE DONE FOR NO GODDAMN REASON!!! AND THEN. AS IF THAT WERENT ENOUGH. THEY SHOEHORNED A ROBOT ROMANCE BETWEEN ZANE AND PIXAL AND I KNOW I RANTED ABOUT THIS A LITTLE BIT WHEN I WAS ACTUALLY WATCHING BUT I DIDNT GO INTO ENOUGH DETAIL!!!! THEY MADE THE OTHER NINJA OOC IN ORDER TO PROP UP THEIR SHIP!!!!!! AND AT ONE POINT ZANE GOES “its like we were…made for each other” AND I HAD TO FUCUCJDHVE I HAD TO SCREAM INTO A PILLOW BRO, IM SO TIRED!!!! NO THE FUCK YOU WERENT!!!!!! YOU WERE MADE FOR YOU AND PIXAL WAS MADE FOR PIXAL AND IF YALLS WANNA BANG BOLTS THATS FINE BUT DONT IMPLY THAT EITHER OF YOU WERE MADE INCOMPLETE!!!! THATS AN INSULT TO YOUR MAKERS AND YOURSELVES, MOVE ON, PLEASE AND THANK YOU. anyway that season also killed Zane (for the first time, but not the last) (spoiler alert lmao) and like, not to be an emotional little shit but I did cry a bit at his funeral.

S4 is honestly one of my favorites, even though the romance crimes continue (the love triangle bullshit is continuing and honestly I maintain that Cole, Nya, and Jay should all have gotten together and in my personal canon they DID, and also Kai has a forced romance) the VILLAIN makes up for it imo. He’s campy!! He’s funny!! He’s a clown!! He’s serious enough that if he says “I’m gonna kill you” HE MEANS IT and that’s so fucking refreshing!!!! S4 is honestly 8/10 just for the villain alone, don’t like that it retconned the SHIT out of the elemental masters and how many different elements there are TO master but eh, it’s ninjago, shit is stupid.

S5 was…interesting? OH WAIT I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT S3 INTRODUCED A GARMADON WHO WAS A LOT LESS EVIL AND A LOT MORE DAD, HONESTLY I THOUGHT IT TOOK A LOT OF THE FLAVOR OUT BUT THATS JUST ME LMAOOO. anyway s5 killed Garmadon, and I was a little sad cuz I like him okay??? I just think he’s NEAT, he’s got big dad energy, he was teaching Lloyd some shit that just got DROPPED and literally was never brought up again which is honestly a theme in Ninjago. Ninjago drinking game: take a shot every time they introduce a plot point or ability and drop it at or before the end of the season. WHICH THEY ALSO DID IN S5 WITH A DIFFERENT POWER ACTUALLY, so all the ninja are masters of Spinjitsu right, well s5 introduced the concept of Airjitsu which only Spinjitsu masters can learn and it lets them FLY and they used that for seasons 5 and 6 and then they nEVER BROUGHT IT UP AGAIN EVEN THOUGH IT WOULDVE COME IN HANDY FOR S E V E R A L DIFFERENT SITUATIONS ACROSS THE SEASONS, ONE OF THEM WOULD BE FALLING TO THEIR DOOM AND MY ASS WOULD BE YELLING “YOU CAN FLY, DUMBASS” - anyway, they do that again later lmao it’s fine. But what’s low key NOT fine is they made Nya the WATER NINJA!!! Like I’m not mad she has powers, except I kinda am, she was doing just fine as Samurai X and honestly the only reason she has super special ninja powers is for plot reasons. Also Cole got turned into a ghost, but by s7 he’s????? No longer a ghost????????? And that’s NEVER addressed or reasoned away, so like. Cool lmao

S6 didn’t happen. Like, canonically, s6 ends with wish fuckery that undoes the entire season and none of the characters remember anything that happened except Jay and Nya because S6 is the season where they get back together so they remember all those events for???? Feelings reasons?????? Unclear, moving on. The actual bbeg for S6 was a djinn with a vaguely Spanish accent, and to this DAY I don’t know why they made him have a SPANISH accent. Djinn are Arabic, not Spanish!! They’re not central or South American, either!!!! Your villain design makes no sense, do better

S7 had MORE time fuckery, and retconned what happened to Kai and Nya’s parents and hmmmhmhmhmhmhm that makes me Upsetti Spaghetti :3 not just the retconning, but the fact that they LITERALLY brought them back oNLY TO NEVER MENTION THEM AGAIN!!!!!! LITERALLY!!!!!!!! Okay so at the VERY very beginning, like pilot episodes beginning, Kai talks about their dad like he died/left fairly recently, BUT s7 contradicts that and claims that both of their parents were essentially abducted when Kai and Nya were little kids, which makes me question what in the fresh fuck two little kids were doing for all those years alone. SETTING THAT ASIDE FOR A HOT SECOND, their parents were also apparently good friends of Wu’s and old war buddies (from the Serpentine wars, which is YET ANOTHER bit of the timeline that doesn’t quite add up but honestly I could make a whole other post about that shit). But if they were such good fucking friends, why didn’t Wu check in every now and again??? What the fuck was Wu doing that was so fucking important that he couldn’t have been assed to visit his friends ONCE in like TEN MOTHERFUCKING YEARS and realize “oh shit, they’re not here and there are two tiny children running around unsupervised…My Kids Now : )” LIKE????? WU YOU LOW KEY SHOULDA LOOKED OUT FOR YOUR FRIENDS’ KIDS BETTER, THEY COULDA DIED BRO!!! Uhhhh the time fuckery also results in Wu getting yeeted ahead in time a bit and the ninja gotta find him

Season. Eight. I have…mixed feelings about this one. The beginning absolutely SLAUGHTERED me, and not in a “this is so fucking funny” way. No, the beginning made me feel like I was being flayed alive with just about every episode because Ninjago was back on its forced romance bullshit and this time it was Lloyd’s turn on the chopping block. That hurt my soul cuz like, look at that mans color scheme, he’s CLEARLY alloaro, why are you forcing romance on my aro man, why would you hurt me like that, BUT ALSO BECAUSE HE AND THE GIRL HE WAS BEING SET UP WITH HAD A LITTLE HEART TO HEART REALLY EARLY ON AND IT WAS THE MOST QUEER CODED SHIT!!!! IT DEADASS READ AS A CONVERSATION BETWEEN AN OUT AND PROUD QUEER AND A CLOSETED QUEER AND THEY MADE!!! IT!!!!! STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing that kept me watching at first was wanting to find Wu, and then I started enjoying myself once Cole found a plot-relevant baby and had fatherhood thrust upon him. Everything went from “ehhhhh” to “holy shit this FUCKS” once it was revealed that Rumi (Lloyd’s love interest) wAS PLAYING HIM THE WHOLE TIME AND WAS EVIL AND HAD AN EVIL GIRLFRIEND!!!!!! LITERALLY IMPROVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SEASON FOR ME, I COULD EVEN FORGIVE THE WHOLE “let’s resurrect Garmadon, but as evil as possible” BULLSHIT!!!!!!

S9 is a continuation of s8, Garmadon is back and 1000% Evil, 10% Dad, but none of the Dad energies is directed at Lloyd - it’s all directed at Rumi, and honestly I could write a whole ass post on just RUMI cuz that’s honestly my DAUGHTER and I LOVE HER and I’m MAD SHE DIES AT THE END OF THIS SEASON!!!! SHE DESERVED THERAPY AND TO LIVE WITH HER GF AND MAYBE SOME CRIME. AS A TREAT. RUMI DESERVED BETTER AND LOW KEY IM GONNA WRITE A FIC ABOUT IT, BUT ANYWAY WHERE WAS I

Ah right, so s9 has the four major Ninja stuck in the original dimension with no way home, while Lloyd has no powers (cuz he almost died last season) and has to somehow lead a resistance against Garmadon (who has taken control of Ninjago City and is working on the rest of Ninjago). Actually, s9 is pretty cool. Like, the end of s8 and into s9 are low key my favorite episodes, and I kinda wanna rewatch them now -

S10 is a FUN one. Garmadon got got last season, but he didn’t DIE, so he’s in cold storage and now there’s Another Threat and he’s the only one who knows wtf they’re up against so they let him out and he works with them. The funny part is, he is still Very Much Evil and doesn’t quite Get emotions like he did when he was, uh, human lmao, sO HE WOKE UP EVERY DAY DURING THAT SEASON AND DECIDED TO CAUSE PROBLEMS ON PURPOSE. IT WAS THE FUNNIEST FUCKING SHIT. 1000000/10 MY FAVORITE GARMADON, he ended that season by literally fucking off into Ninjago and they never decided to track him down 😭😭😭😭😭and I’m so SAD about it dude

S11 has another Serpentine as the bbeg, though in the setup to that they retconned how the fucking Serpentine tribes and history work??? I think???? Also Wu was a good 150% angrier and generally Done with the ninja’s shit, which was honestly refreshing tho I’m not quite sure I liked what the refreshed view was, but whatever lmao. S11 also had the ninja get yeeted to the dimension farthest from Ninjago, and honestly - okay, so they didn’t all go at the same TIME, Zane left about a week or two before the others did but there was time dilation fuckery afoot which I’m not too mad about cuz low key it makes sense. What I AM mad about is that they didn’t play the angst up to its full POTENTIAL!!!!!! Zane was EVIL in the other dimension!!!! Okay so I’m Ninjago he was only gone for maybe a week or two, but DECADES had passed in the other one, and all that time Zane was alone and disconnected from everyone he knew and loved, with a staff that boosted his power while slowly corrupting him and Turning Him Evil to help him, and like???? The thought of Zane trying to find a way home, trying to get SOME sort of message back, while he has to use the staff more and more to help him survive the long, lonely decades, so that by the time his family DOES show up its too late??? BRO. B R O. THAT JUST HITS DIFFERENT, BUT NINJAGO DIDNT DO THAT!!! THEY MADE HIM EVIL DUE TO MEMORY WIPE!!!!!! MEMORY WIPE IS BABY SHIT COMPARED TO A LONG, SLOW CORRUPTION!!!!!!

S12 was alright. It went into Cole’s mom, touched on some of the adventures she had had, threatened another forced romance (this time on poor Cole, just leave my mans ALONE) but thankfully didn’t follow through this time, introduced cool new powers that honestly hasn’t been elaborated on since that’s the most recent season I think lmao
