Don't think of universes where Cross never got to leave Nightmare, and eventually, has to face Epic. EpicTale being attacked, and Cross is face to face with Epic, and how does he tell him? Epic would hate him. But...he can't leave Nightmare's gang, he's not able to. He doesn't want to hurt Epic but he must. Oh, and when Epic finds out, how he'll hate Cross. And Cross not realizing, Epic wouldn't. He'd want to help, even if that got Epic hurt.

Don't think of Color having to calm Killer down from a stage where he almost hurt Color. killer breaking down into sobs, apologizing, how could he have almost done to to Color, maybe Nightmare was right, and Color having to help him with that. Having to calm him, and help Killer back, no he isn't good for only hurting.

Don't think of Swap curled up in the AntiVoid, homesick. And Error right there, knowing something wrong, and wanting to say something, but he can't. No, he doesn't care, he just...doesn't want Swap to cry because he said something wrong and get tears on his stuff. Not because he cares for that anomaly, Error would never. But, Swap being sad isn't something Error likes, but what is he meant to do.

Don't think of Cross being stuck in nightmare's castle, avoiding his boss, because he knows what Nightmare is like and what he'd do. And Killer, Murder, Horror...them knowing too. And even if they hate or dislike or are irritated by each other, they need to stay together, because who else do they have?

I love it when people draw Dust in a special way, and not just "sans with eyebags and a hood on", like, when people give him a cap, or when you can only see the eyes bc it's pitch black inside the hood, or when people would only draw the MOUTH and it'd look creepy as fuck!! or when people draw him with glasses, which I've seen a couple artists do; or when they give him a face mask or even a gas mask, which I can't tell you why but I feel fits perfectly! ofc he'd have to take it off if he smokes and a solid 50% of the fanart of him I see has him smoking so yk but lol

ig ill say why i think each character is in nightmares group/bad sanses:

in order

nightmare: hes the leader, he made the group happen. doesnt do much fighting unless necessary

killer: first to join, he saw nightmare and thought this was a great opportunity to do something and no longer be alone with more power. basically the 2nd leader when nm isnt around (the others dont care to listen to him though)

dust: 2nd the join, didnt want to but was basically forced. not a fan of killer or nightmare but likes to have his own room in such a big castle. as much as he doesnt like it, he doesnt wanna go back in case is there is ever a reset.

error: not exactly in the group, never joined, is just a bad guy who helps them sometimes so others assume hes with them. is sort of buddies with nightmare.

horror/hatch: joined for getting things in return, whether thats food, clothes, ect. doesnt live in the castle much, about 50/50 at home and here. is cool with dust but doesnt care for the others

cross: last to "join". was also forced, doesnt like to be there. keeps to himself a lot, gets annoyed easily. chara isnt with him, does like having his own room and can eat basically whenever and likes not being in a void. isnt a bad guy just cant leave this group bc of his contract with nightmare

I’m not the only who thinks swapfell sans is the most underrated bad sans member right? like I only know 2 fics where he was a member and one where he was in the bad sans poly it’s really sad

OOOH CONTROVERSIAL OPINION but i honestly don’t think that swapfell or fellswap would join nm and his group. mostly because nm collects vulnerable people who have already given up their morals enough to be more willing to kill others at his bidding, and swapfell sans just.. wouldn’t be that person. even in geno runs where he’s the only person left (which doesn’t happen, as he’s killed early on papyrus-style), he would be far too stubborn to join nightmare and certainly wouldn’t join this evil dictator serial killer guy. i mean, fell papyrus wouldn’t, why would swapfell? that’s my way of thinking with swaps outside of cross who is like the most broken guy to ever exist.

it’s the same with normal ol’ fell too imo, because even in geno runs his goal wouldn’t be to join mister mcmurderface in a multiversal rampage—it would be like any other sans when enduring geno runs. fell still has morals, after all, even if they are a bit twisted, and he would be much more stuck on his au than you’d think. same with error actually. i think error would eat his own scarf before he joined nightmare and his team of lackeys as he canonically quite likes doing his own thing without other people in the way, and his goal is destroying aus, not keeping them in a negative stasis. nm def asked though and got rejected like ten times in a row lmao

aesthetically though swapfell is a cool choice to include in the group and in general he’s very underrated, and while i personally wouldn’t be a fan, if being in the bad sanses group meant his au got more attention i’d be glad

Short answer: the three of them are more than friends.

Long answer: because of their varying personalities, each would have their own answer to that question…..Killer believes he is dating the both of them. Dust definitely has some feelings for killer, but he would literally never ever EVER ever admit it. Ever. Horror kind of has a crush on everyone always, so he goes with whatever Killer says. Horror and Dust are EXTREMELY close, however you would never get a clear answer from either of them, they don’t care to label anything. The two of them would probably ignore you or laugh in your face if you asked. The three of them together are family. They take care of each other, and are all each other have. It’s messy, but somehow works
